Ultimate Warrior vs Vince Mcmahon Plus ECW Announce Team Quits

Ultimate Warrior vs Vince McMahon

Wrestling news sites are discussing the possibility of having The Ultimate Warrior wrestle Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 25!

Recently the Warrior has expressed interest on a radio interview that he would like to do something big for the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania.

I don't know why though, considering the Ultimate Warrior wasn't even a major player in the wrestling game until the third Wrestlemania.

Let's just say that he does get his match with Vince, is Vince capable of having one more match? Can The Warrior even be trusted?

I'm not sure. The Warrior's wrestling dvd released through the WWE a few years back indicates that The Warrior is not to be trusted in the ring, and is not very professional, but Vince always says...never say never.

The ECW announce team apparently quit, or at least walked off the ECW set on Tuesday night.

Why would Tazz leave though?

Joey Styles replacement is horrible, gets bagged on by everyone, and is an all around idiot when compared to Joey...then again...Foley is the new announcer over at Smackdown...what will happen when Jim Ross Dies?

In my view, no one can replace Him...and well...we're going to have problems when he kicks the bucket.

Look for the ECW thing to be a work, as I doubt Vince and crew want to give up on ECW right now.

Interesting links:
The Hardy Boyz have a new 2 disc dvd set and it is out now, check out it here.

The HHH three disc set is out now too, with interviews and commentary by the game himself! Click here for more info on that release.

Raw Report 4.28.2008

Quick Raw Results for April 28th 2008

Women's Champion Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Cherry, Maria & Ashley def. Beth Phoenix, Layla, Victoria, Natalya, Melina & Jillian
JBL def. Robbie
Paul London & Brian Kendrick def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
Paul & Katie Lea Burchill def. Super Crazy (Handicap Match)
World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes def. Santino Marella
WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton (No Contest)

WWE RAW came through with a post Backlash event that really didn't do a whole lot to push the lower guys, and really got stale towards the middle.

First and foremost, why is there no love for Super Crazy? Why is Super Crazy still working for WWE? He should be in Mexico feuding with the top names in Lucha Libre, because getting buried every other week on Raw is just a waste of talent. Not only that Paul Burchill is back, and no he's not a pirate any more, and totally squashes Super Crazy.

The rest of raw really bored me. I didn't like Cade and Murdoch facing the same opponents for another televised event. I understand if they are wrestling Kendrick and London (they need a team name) on non-televised events and house shows, but televised events should not showcase such repetition.

Cody Rhodes wrestled Santino...again? It's getting ridiculous. I hate when WWE sets up tag division matches in this way. This build up makes me tired.

The Divas match was ok, they are improving, although not as good as the TNA girls yet.

JBL is on the show?

Hbk and Y2j are on the show too?

Boredom movements, that's for sure.

The main event looked promising....

Kennedy and Regal? Really? Is this really what they are leading up to? I sure hope not.

The main event was blacked out, Regal pulled the plug and we get the following for Judgment Day! Which means Orton and HHH will have a lighter television schedule leading up to what should be a brutal match at Judgment Day.

The Hart Dungeon Opens Again

Bret Hart Dungeon

This seems like an odd move if you ask me, but apparently the Stu Hart family dungeon is back in business.

The Hart dungeon trained some of the best wrestlers in all of professional wrestling history. Including Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Chris Benoit, and many others. The pain and experience of training that was found in the Hart family basement was chronicled in the film "Wrestling with Shadows", and proved to be one of the rare training facilities in professional wrestling that made you into one of the toughest people in the world.

Now it's back, but surprisingly without Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Teddy Hart, instead, has opened it up for business and is rigorously training new recruits in the manners that Stu Hart trained his students.

It's not the same.

That's my first thought into this story, and it very well may never be the same. However, Hart is no slouch, he might not be the biggest name in professional wrestling , but he has family blood ties to the Hart family, which is golden in these days.

Where's Bret?

If Bret joins in, you will have the biggest teacher in the world. If Bret never returns to the WWE, maybe his students will, and his students will usher in a new era of professional wrestling, one that is not filled with stupid gimmicks and random title changes.

An era where kayfabe joins in with the "entertainment" factor that is professional wrestling.

Backlash 2008 Results

WWE Backlash 2008

WWE ran Backlash into the ground. I call the show Backwash, because the show is nothing more than just a rehash of Wrestlemania.

The big news coming out of this years Backlash is that Triple H has captured the World Championship Title once again. That's right, He somehow outlasted the other three idiots in the main event to recapture the gold and go into Raw the world champ, yet again.

Triple H the championship, is not something that I like.

Other news has MATT HARDY as the WWE United States champion, edging out MVP!

THe divas had a match that no one cared about.

EDGE lost yet again to the deadman, Undertaker is continuing his reign as champion.

KANE once again trounced Chavo, and it's all over.

Overall the PPV had a few moments of zen, but it wasn't worth the 40 bucks you had to drop to watch it. Meanwhile things are heating up in the subtext of the WWE, but nothing worth mentioning tonight.

Everyone enjoy Raw tomorrow night, as tonight, Backlash had TRIPLE H winning the gold...but will it last?

Michael P.S Hayes Racist

Of course he's a racist!

Why are people so bent out of shape over Michael Hayes calling Mark Henry the "N" word?

The Freebirds used to come out to entrance music that was overtly confederate, as well as coming out on many occasions even had southern/confederate colors....then I found this video, and I'm an idiot...

Mr. Hayes is the writer for Smackdown, and he's suspended for his lame comments.

SO WHAT!

Screw Mark Henry, and fire him immediately!

Mark Henry sucks.

ECW Lacks Extreme Factors

Even without Joey Styles, ECW could've moved forward with a taste of the extreme, but instead it just proves to be more of the WWE's C show rather than providing an alternative to jaded wrestling fans.

The name ECW shouldn't even be used in conjunction with the show that the WWE is producing for SCI-FI channel's late night slot.

Seriously, there is nothing extreme about ECW and there was nothing extreme that happened on last nights horrible show...with the exception of the moment of EXTREME featuring two divas...

WWE Divas Dropkick ECW

If that is the most extreme thing that happened on ECW, you can rest assured that it's no longer worthwhile to stay up late to see ECW. You can view the whole show on WWE.COM where at least one guy is extreme: JOEY STYLES!

The new announcer sucks too, Tazz has no help in the booth, and the WWE is promptly going to pull the rug under the show, sooner than later.

What we were treated to over on ECW's show was the continuation of the ECW feud with Chavo Guerrero, featuring Edge. Not exactly the brightest moment for either superstar, and completely boring if you ask me.

Maybe there is hope down the road...it is not found with the stale ECW product, that's for sure.

Raw: King of the Ring Edition

king of the ring 2008 bracket

What the heck has WWE done?

Rewind a few weeks ago, when the announcement was first made that there will be a King of the Ring tournament for Raw's special 3 hour show.

If you recall, Umaga, HHH, John Cena and others were pictured on the graphics.

However, last night only a few wrestlers were thrown into the tournament, and well, it was a lame showcase at times, but awesome match ups at time.

I'm telling you, if you missed last night's raw you missed out on

CM PUNK vs. Matt Hardy, which was an indie wrestling dream, although a little short.

You also missed Y2J losing clean to CM Punk, but the overall match was good, even though there was a botched moved here and there.

MVP did a great job wrestling y2j, and should feud with him down the line, i think.

Other than that, Raw was boring.

The politcal stuff just didn't sit well with me.

Oh and REGAL winning the king of the ring?

Come on now, this is just stupid.

I can't believe this....Raw sucked for that, but then again, man did Punk put on a good show. King Regal? It's going to be hard to get used to that.

HHH, John Cena, Orton, and others were not on the show, therefore no one cared about the lead up to Backlash.

I know I didn't.

Joey Styles Fired From ECW

Guess what, ECW is heading straight to the pit now.

I'm not sure who decided to do this, but this is the worst thing I've read since they Fired Paul Heyman from ECW's writing team.

Guess what!

ECW is NO longer holding any remnant of the original show that I enjoyed in the mid 90's.

Seriously, Joey Styles is the last remnant of what ECW had left...besides Tommy Dreamer.

WWE has really done a horrible thing with ECW, slowing down the pace, leaving out the Extreme part, and well...burying the show. The ratings are horrible, the show is lame, and well...ECW is dead.

Joey Styles might still work for WWE, but ECW is dead...he was the only reason I could stand ECW at times. Now there's no reason to watch ECW at all.

This is of course according to internet reports, and sometimes those are very wrong. ECW is lame anyways.

Oh and about RAW...it was ok...but lets see who the KING is going to be on Raw!

WWE KING OF THE RING RETURNS

Today in a landmark announcement by the WWE, they have announced that next week's raw will be the return of the King of The Ring!

This of course is going to launch a new person as the KING gimmick, since Booker T left without losing that gimmick.

My favorite was the original King of the Ring where Bret Hart took on several opponents in one night. Will this new version be as good?

Who will be king?

Is the Triple H gimmick going to take off here? We'll have to wait and see.

Ric Flair Retired in 1994

Ric Flair retired in 1994.

No one remembers?

Come on now...think back to Halloween Havoc 1994! The cage match of the century, Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair and if Flair lost, his career would be over.

The match had Sensational Sheri, Mr. T and others interfere to help save Flair's career, and to no avail, he lost to Hogan, and Flair didn't retire.

He had no farewell speech, he had not Monday Night interview, he left.

He didn't return till next year, when he was attacked in the crowd and set up a feud with the top guys in WCW at the time.

So why is he getting praised now?

Who cares about Ric Flair and his crummy retirement?

I don't.

Terry Funk retired, remember that? It was on film, and what happened? He came back to the WWE and wrestled full time some more afterwards.

We always see legends hang up the boots, only to get an itch and come back.

Had Curt Henning not died, he would have had a long term career with the WWE as he came back after Royal Rumble and was doing really well.

Ric Flair is good, but he's not gone. He'll return, and everyone will be wooing when he shows up for another match at Wrestlemania to teach the disrespectful a lesson.

John Cena Still The Future?

John Cena is not the champion right now. However, I couldn't help but notice that on Raw he got a piece of the championship pie handed to him.

The crowd at each arena is not fully behind John Cena anymore, and it's odd to see that he's in the fold chasing the title.

I think it's ridiculous that once again, at Backlash, we're going to get a multi-man main event with little to no implications for the future, outside of the crowning of a potential John Cena title reign.

Or am I completely wrong?

Think about it for a moment.

Why would Orton, HHH, or JBL be the champions?

Orton has had the title for a long time now, and I for one am tired of seeing a horrible heel champion. Sure he has some microphone skills, but his matches are plagued with lackluster endings, especially ones that involve a stupid kick to the head in the most impromptu times.

JBL has been sitting on the sidelines for so long, that it doesn't make sense for him to clothesline himself into a world title reign. He's been to the mountain top before, this time is not going to be a great moment in WWE history if it is the intentions of the WWE to hand over the title to JBL.

HHH? HHH is due a title reign, but he hasn't been in any memorable feuds to qualify him for the job. HHH is solid, but he just lacks the emotion and face to work on his heel position...I understand he's face right now, but he's a poor face if the heel is nothing more than a young champion with a kick to the head.

I might be wrong.

However, the amount of merchandise that John Cena can move as a champion is not really rivaled by any other potential champion.

He's also young enough to move into another memorable feud.

Or!

The ultimate example of what they could do with John Cena is to turn him heel, out of frustration. Have him lose at Backlash, lose the next night on Raw, then cheat his way back into the fold! Cheat his way in, hit someone with a chain, get caught and start rapping again and not caring with the kiddies think. Stop saluting people, stop trying to be the wholesome one, and just do what he used to do...when he got over with the adults, despite his lackluster move set.

Worst Raw Ever

Ric Flair has been retiring for a very long time.

So why is everyone, including Ric Flair so dang emotional about this time?

Remember in 1994 when Hogan wrestled Flair in a steel cage at Halloween Havoc? Flair was supposed to retire...he didn't.

Remember on Nitro, when Flair was going to leave?

He didn't.

So what is it with Flair retiring again?

I don't really care.

From what I hear, he's got a long term contract with WWE, so see him wrestle in limited form ala Mick Foley.

WWE sure likes to bury their talent after they come off a win.

Last night C.M. Punk took a great lead in the talent pool by winning a very lackluster money in the bank match. It was sad to see it go down so horribly...slow.

Then he comes to Raw only to lose to the Intercontinental Champion? Talk about losing credibility. Punk just got shot back down...even if he does have the briefcase.

Another way to ruin talent is to bury them in their first full match back.

Matt Hardy comes in fresh to lose to Randy Orton? What does this help?

It buries Matt Hardy, and crushes the pop he got at Wrestlemania.

Thanks wwe, you've ruined the whole post-wrestlemania night.

The rest of Raw was lame too. Khali and Big show? Santino? Cryme Time back?

This is exactly how to ruin momentum.
