WWE Monday Night Raw 9/28/09 Results Cena is Superman For Sure

Once again I must let anyone reading this site know that I have no cable. I have no source to view RAW or any wrestling. I don't have digital television and can't get a converter.

I'm moving to Moscow, Idaho.

I am unemployed. I have no money, and well...the future of this site is bleak.

I asked many times for help and no one bought anything. So this site is officially on hold until I can get some money to get cable or a converter box...I think? I'm not sure.

Until then, here are the latest raw results.

Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show def. MVP & Mark Henry
Divas Champion Mickie James def. Rosa Mendes

Ring of Honor The Young Bucks vs Sal Rinauro & Brandon Day

Ring of Honor has a weekly show, and I don't get it. However, while listening to the only wrestling podcast that is good still (dasharpshooters wrestling podcast), I heard about The Young Bucks in Ring of Honor.

Well, The Young Bucks are Mr Instant Replay and Slick Nick from High Risk Wrestling in Southern California and they used to wrestle shows in my home town of Culver City, California. I am glad to have met and known those dudes. Here they are in ROH!

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/21/09 Results and Review More of the Same BS

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/21/09 Results

Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes (no contest)
The Miz defeated Evan Bourne
Beth Phoenix defeated Mickie James
Kofi Kingston vs Jack Swagger (no contest)
Cedric The Enteratiner defeated Chavo Guerrero w/ special guest referee Santino
Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and The Big Show defeated John Cena, Mvp, Mark Henry

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/21/09 Review

Another week of Raw, another boredom movement to say the least; but they tried right? I guess so.

Tonight’s host was Cedric The Entertainer, another non wrestling host. I thought he was ok at best, seriously, just ok at best. I don’t know why they hired him, until later on in the show…when I realized that this was just about squashing Chavo.

Tripe H vs. Cody Rhodes (no contest)

This match was going strong, I thought that the amount of offense that Cody Rhodes got was definitely cool. I’m really surprised at how much offense Rhodes got against the former champion. This match was back and forth with Triple H getting some shots, but mostly it was Triple H getting worked inside. I liked how Legacy outsmarted Shawn Michaels on the outside, which seriously was good overall. Rhodes inside the ring was impressive at moments too. A full moonsault proved that Rhodes was no fly by night star, but his timing was the real story here. He timed a lot of things just right overcoming Triple H’s size and speed quite well. Triple H was on the receiving end of a major beat down of course, Dibiase running in with a chair and mopping up with a chair, ending this match up. It should’ve been a dq, but it was listed as a no contest, so we’ll keep it that way. Dreamstreet and Crossrhodes were hit on Triple H, Michaels was knocked out, and this match should’ve been worse, but it was actually alright.

The Miz defeated Evan Bourne

This match should’ve been way better, well, maybe I put Miz in too high of a regard tonight. Bourne was getting punished throughout this match up, and The Miz had his number. Seriously, Bourne was getting worked with many rest holds, and submission maneuvers, however Bourne would come back. Yes, we would get another Bourne reversal type comeback, but not without The Miz having a say in how things progressed. I did like how this match wasn’t just another flurry of high spots to a win, it was just a few high spots to a loss. The Miz hit the Skullcrushing Finale and it was over. Clean! The Miz is getting a push? Not again!

I hate contract signings folks, why would they have one on the show? Seriously? The modern day contract signing sucks more than the classic contract signing. They need to stop doing this to us, but who will tell them? Or convince them? Oh well, we’ll see Orton and Cena wrestle yet again, another ppv I am NOT going to buy. I wouldn’t suggest you get it either.

Beth Phoenix defeated Mickie James

This match got started to a fast pace. It was a short match, but it was adequate in a lot of ways. Mickie James got worked fast, and was made to look weak as Beth Phoenix wins in such a short match with such an impact. Wow, they don’t care for Mickie anymore huh? This was a squash match if I ever saw one.

Kofi Kingston vs Jack Swagger

Jack Swgger is now a main feature on Raw? I’m too old, this gu is o that good in my view. Yes, he has something, but I think he’s also missing something to me. Seriously, he seems to be missing something, I don’t know what it is, but he’s missing that extra….something. He’s like a default video game character to me, seriously. Whatever the case is he was in there going step to step against Kofi Kingston. It was interesting to see Swagger react fast to Kofi’s high speed offense, with great reversals and overall in ring technique, even if it was short lived. Midway through this match The Miz tried to steal the belt but was hit from behind by Swagger! Swagger then took the belt and walked away too…which seemed odd. So that was the end of this match, another weird way to end it, but I guess there’s a ppv coming, so why am I not surprised?

Cedric the Entertainer defeated Chavo Guerrero w/ Santino serving as Special Guest Referee

Chavo Guerrero got squashed again. Cedric the Entertainer was supposed to be the wrestler involved, but instead we got these masked guys working, and Hornswoggle even getting involved. This whole thing was a terrible cluster of stupidity. Seriously, this was another stupid squash of Chavo Guerrero for no apparent reason at all. Seriously, this annoyed me, why do I even watch anymore? I’m so tired of this.

It was Lillian’s last night. She was hot, is hot, oh well, she did her job well. Too bad she took that major fall when Charlie Haas threw her off the ropes. Maybe that’s why he hasn’t ever gotten a decent push.

Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and The Big Show defeated John Cena, Mvp, Mark Henry

This match was tyical six man wrestling action. You’ve seen this crappy style of wrestling each week on Raw with no reason to watch. This match at least was back and forth for a lot of different points. Cena and Henry towards the end were working quite well together making things interesting, especially since the crowd was going nuts for Mark Henry! However, the match would be short lived as “the viper” Randy Orton struck again forcing chop blocking Henry and getting an RKO for the win. Yep, Orton wins with his team. This was good for Jericho and Big Show as they have been losing on Smackdown lately.

Overall not a terrible night of wrestling, not a great night of wrestling, but hey that’s how things happen.

**NOTE

You guys are probably getting tired of these notes, but just a heads up, I’m suspending the TNA review due to lack of cable, I was fortunate enough to get WWE Raw this week. I will be out of town moving next week, and won’t be reviewing at all. I will also not be able to review smackdown this week.

Stay tuned for updates, as I move from seattle to Idaho.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/18/09 Results and Review The Punk Era

***NOTE***

Oh yeah, here is another note. The main note is this: I am moving. With my move comes NO cable for a few months. That’s right, I’m moving and I had to shut off the cable for now. I don’t have a lot of money and NO ONE is buying anything so I had to cut my cable. It sucks.

That’s why there wasn’t any updates this week. Next week I’ll try hulu or something or if you know what I should do, let me know.

Otherwise I’ll have just the results and some subtle commentaries, so that’s about it. I’m sorry folks, but I can’t afford cable. Maybe in my new place I can.

Oh and I am not sure if you guys remember but I lose my job too. So I have no job, unemployment has yet to come in and I’m moving out of the state. Yeah, so if I’m slow, please stick around and bare with me, I’m trying really hard to keep this going in these troublesome times for me personally.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/18/09 Results

John Morrison defeated Mike Knox
Melina defeated Michelle McCool
The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme
R Truth vs Charlie Haas No Contest
Batista defeated Chris Jericho

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/18/09 Review

Batista opened up the show, it’s been a while since we’ve seen this guy, that’s for sure. I heard he was on Raw, but I didn’t see raw…as I mentioned above. Batista wasn’t really finished with his little speech before Chris Jericho came out to interrupt him. Jericho just mouthed off as he usually does and he dropped Jericho with a spine buster and walked away. Apparently there is a match scheduled for later tonight.

John Morrison defeated Mike Knox

Overall this match was starting out ok. Mike Knox was definitely a lot slower than John Morrison and it proved to be something that the camera and editing couldn’t hide. As Knox was thrown over the top rope at half speed, I started to yawn. Knox is a terrible big man, and I’m not sure why they keep doing this to us, but whatever, Knox was getting pummeled with ease by Morrison at the break. Of course when we came back from the break Knox was all over Morrison, and we get to see a head lock. Things turned around and Morrison just kept getting better, proving that life is better than ever when Starship Pain was hit! Overall Knox sucked out there and seeing Morrison win wasn’t half bad, that’s for sure.

Melina defeated Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool looked obviously injured. She was half speed most of the time and Melina was lightly going for contact in a lot of different ways. This match was just boring to me, these two can’t wrestle that well. I got bored, you were most likely bored too.

After Teddy Long’s speech, things got terrible…he got into a limo and The Undertaker locked him, rolling down the window and saying…”buckle up Teddy” and moved on.

WHAT THE HELL?

This is the SAME THING THAT HAPPENED EARLIER IN WWF HISTORY! Remember, “BUCKLE UP STEPHANIE!” son of a….wwe really just punched us fans in the nuts, face it.

Punk’s speech was rad…”If you’re not Straightedge Like ME, I’m Better Than You” YES! That’s what a heel needs to be.

The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme

This match bored me. I haven’t been a fan of the Hart dynasty lately, I’m just not too keen on them. They have talent but without a solid feud, they are just boring to me. Cryme Tyme is ok, but I don’t know…I just had a hard time getting into this match up. This match didn’t get the Canadians going as they fell dead to this suck fest…and yes this match sucked so bad, don’t try to hide it. This match got over well towards the end, Tyson Kidd hit the something or other and that was that. This match bored me.

The Great Khali defeated Kane via dq

Kane hit Khali with a chair, and then beat up the big man more. That’s about it, nothing to see here…I got bored again. Man, Smackdown is going down the toilet so far tonight.

The new R Truth feud is PERFECT! That’s how all feuds should be, just cheap shots after cheap shots.

R Truth vs Charlie Haas No Contest

Charlie Haas is still employed? What in the world? What’s going on here? Truth never came out, his rival came out…way to pull the bait and switch.

Batista defeated Chris Jericho

If you like rest holds, you thought this match was five stars. This match sucked, I don’t know what it was, but the two just didn’t put on a great match here. Jericho tried to make it look good, but man, Batista has some major timing issues, He has ring rust, it’s obvious in this match up. This thing got a little exciting towards the end, but the damage was already done to the senses...this thing was a disaster.Batista won after a batista bomb, as he caught the codebreaker mid air and it was done. I liked how it ended, but man...not that great to me.

smackdown took a fall.

Oh and here is that video...so i didn't get the quote right, but come on...

ECW on SCYFY 9/9/09 Results and Review More of the Same

ECW on SCYFY 9/9/09 Results

The Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill
Shelton Benjamin & Shaemus defeated Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu
Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov defeated Christian & Tommy Dreamer

ECW on SCYFY 9/9/09 Review

The Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill

Paul Burchill had a few moments of offense but overall it was The Hurricane that was featured big time in this match, and he was definitely trying to return to his former glory, and eventually with a lot of spots, made a win for himself. He still looks a little slow for the ware but has continued to work out, even if Paul isn’t exactly the greatest star in the world, and you know what? He probably is going to get let go soon. Then again, I’ve been saying that each week for years now.

Shelton Benjamin & Shaemus defeated Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu

This match wasn’t half bad, I really thought that Goldust put on a great show, and the amount of time he was given in the hot tag portion was actually solid. Shaemus was ok, but it was Goldust that seemed poised to carry this match to its conclusion. Shelton Benjamin got the blind tag and made trouble for himself, but overall this match could’ve been worse. Yoshi Tatsu also made a few good moments, but it was definitely Shaemus that got the better of everything in this match, creating a new foe with an attempted beat down of Shelton Benjamin after the match was over.

Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov defeated Christian & Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer looks old but when wrestling the big guys he is actually right on par with their speed. That is not necessarily a great thing, but it is understood that the big heels right now on ECW aren’t the greatest guys in the world at wrestling nor fast paced mat action. Tommy Dreamer and Christian put together an ok team, and this match was better than I thought it would be. Ezekiel got the pin, and this match was over faster than I thought it would be. William Regal of course played up his distraction on the outside and this match ended up being ok.

Overall ECW wasn’t that impressive, but it’s quick format made me feel alright about it.

**NOTE***

Sorry for all the notes lately, but I’ve had a hard time these days. I will be out of town this week and will be moving from Seattle to a smaller, less expensive city. So I’ll have some lapses here and there, but stick with me and we’ll all be ok.

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/7/09 Results and Review Bob Barker Hosting

****Personal Note***

Hey guys, I’m moving from Seattle to Moscow, Idaho. In the move, I have cut my cable short, so if I stop updating abruptly it’s due to that. I have no job right now and no income, if you are feeling up to it, purchase something on amazon.com clicking here, and I can make a small commission.

Sorry to ask you guys for money, it sucks, but I could seriously use it. As I am unemployed right now; and now for the review.

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/7/09 Results

MVP defeated Chris Jericho
Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero
John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes via disqualification
Big Show defeated Santino in a Body Slam Challenge
Mark Henry defeated The Big show in a Body slam Challenge
Degeneration X defeated Chris Masters & Randy Orton

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/7/09 Review

The show opened up with Bob Barker and he started out a game show of sorts. The show then had some game, and Chris Jericho came out alongside Santino, IRS, and Jillian Hall, which is lame. This whole thing smelled lamed, they did a mock pricing game, which was just a knockoff of the price is right. This was serious the worst thing I’ve ever seen, what a train wreck.

Chris Jericho won something lame….i don’t remember, so a match was next.

MVP defeated Chris Jericho

MVP and his partner are set to get a tag title shot, but overall it’s interesting to see a singles match between the two. This match was actually going well, until the commercial break took out the momentum for me. MVP was looking good, but it seemed like Chris Jericho had him winded towards the end of this match up. A Lionsault attempt was foiled, and MVP hit a jawbuster on Jericho, which prompted the BALLIN move, but out came Jericho with a WALLS OF JERICHO! MVP rolled out into a school boy, and couldn’t get the win, Jericho kept kicking out and MVP started to get frustrated with all this and missed a Codebreaker when MVP held onto the ropes, MVP then capitalized on the misstep, and pinned Jericho for the quick win.

Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero

What’s this? Chavo Guerrero finally gets a shot at Evan Bourne, and if he wins apparently he wins a car, a Corvette to be exact. Chavo must be carrying too much weight on him because he seemed extremely slow compared to Evan Bourne in this match up. Chavo was trying to keep pace but it was just painfully obvious that he was out classed. Hornswoggle came out with a super soaker and got beat up for a moment. Evan Bourne got a roll up and it was all over! This match was just bad, Evan Bourne wins, and it looked like Chavo hurt his knee.

John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes via disqualification

John Cena was moving forward in this match with ease, but somewhere along the way Cody got the upper hand. He actually looked promising, but Cena wasn’t going down without a fight, and so this match ended up being another Cena easy momentum swinger. Not without some offense by Cody Rhodes. At one point it almost looked like Rhodes was going to tap out Cena, but nope…Cena was ready for him and turned this thing around as is custom for Cena matches. John Cena was on his way to victory before Orton ran down and interfered. It was the end of that, and John Cena definitely won…via dq.

More of the same old crap, The Price is Right parody nonsense.

Santino ended up having to try and slam The Big Show. The Big Show dropped Santino and that was that.

Mark Henry defeated The Big show in a Body slam Challenge

This too was a body slam challenge. This match was boring but eventually Mark Henry slammed Big Show, which is ridiculous. Whatever, this was boring. A body slam contest? What a load of crap.

Trish Stratus will be returning next week to host Raw.

Degeneration X defeated Chris Masters & Randy Orton

Well, if you wanted a tag team match for your main event, you sure got it. Once again the boys in Degeneration X fought off two cronies, not too unlike past weeks. Another loss is ahead for sure. It’s going to be a sad thing if this is the next few weeks of programming. Dx tried to fight off Masters and Orton and it just seemed like it wasn’t happening. Orton was definitely looking dominant in this match up, and of course DX was looking just out of it completely. This match was on rails, face it, we all knew how it was going to go down and it was telegraphed in a lot of ways. The match got going well when masters tagged in and Triple H tagged in both for the hot tags. The two were going full speed, with Triple H hitting Masters with hard shots, and the neck breaker which made for a good quick onslaught of offense to close this thing down. A high knee nearly got the win over Masters, but Triple H took his eye off of the prize, however it didn't matter he tagged HBK and a big Elbow later this thing looked all about over. While Orton and Triple H fought it out at the announce table, Shawn Michaels was given The Master Lock and was basically being put to sleep! Triple H broke it up, and of course Sweet Chin Music was Hit, and then Triple H had a Sharpshooter on Orton and Michaels had a Figure Four on Masters...this was done.

Wow the same finish that Slamboree 97 had. Great job WWE.

Post match the fight broke out to the back of the arena...just in a street fight of sorts. Nothing really important was going down. Orton seemed to have disappeared. The fight spilled out to the streets...yep...hilarious.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/4/09 Results and Review The Morrison Era Begins

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/4/09 Results

The Great Khali & Finlay defeated Kane & Mike Knox
John Morrison defeated Rey Mysterio Jr to win the Intercontinental Championship Belt
Maria & Eve defeated Natalya & Layla
CM Punk vs Matt Hardy No Contest

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/4/09 Review

**NOTE*** I know it sucks to read about me, an idiot asking for money, but I could use a few dollars, so if you have spare change, please click here to buy stuff from amazon and help me in this time of need. I was let go from my job yesterday and am struggling.

Thank you. ****

Alright, now down to business, Smackdown had a lot of buzz, and my friend actually told me a result early, but I will pretend I didn’t hear it, so here we go, Smackdown after Summerslam, I think…I maybe wrong, I might be right, I don’t know. My mother in law will be in town again next week, but I’ll have reviews because I have no job now…awesome.

The night started with a Jeff Hardy package, talking about saving the memories. The dude is not my favorite, but he is one heck of a worker, and proves that a little guy could do a lot. I like Punk though, I like him a lot as a heel.

Cm Punk came out to Jeff Hardy’s music and dressed like Jeff Hardy, and basically got booed out of the building! That’s great, Smackdown is the #1 WWE show in my book right now, just with that opening. Punk spoke volumes about all sorts of things, and after a few paragraphs, out came Matt Hardy and immediately was beating up Punk, and guess what? He was over! The crowd was going nuts for Hardy which is nice to see, especially after his last run had him failing to get any reaction.

The Great Khali & Finlay defeated Kane & Mike Knox

This match was slow and not very good for the most part. I was bored with it, and while Knox and Finlay are the fasted guys in this match, this was just slow moving. Kane looks injured, his run to get thrown over the top rope looked like an old man trying to walk without his cane. Finlay hit Knox in the head with a weapon and it was all said and done. Yep…this match was so slow, and Khali barely got a shot at Kane. Finlay looked somewhat injured, but overall this thing was tiresome.

The divas drama backstage, is lame, and stupid. I hated it. I hate this part, WWE Smackdown isn’t the #1 show, it’s just a show.

John Morrison defeated Rey Mysterio Jr to win the Intercontinental Championship Belt

With Mysterio basically in the doghouse, and my friend telling me this was going to happen, I knew the outcome, but the match? Dang. The match had a lot of stiff moments, with Mysterio trying to get the better of Morrison and Morrison looking a bit stunned at times by the faster offense by his smaller opponent. At one point it looked like Mysterio injured himself or his back on a twist to the outside, things looked tough from that point forward for Mysterio and Morrison met him with enough intensity to earn himself respect, if nothing more. Morrison took some sick bumps to put over Mysterio as a worthwhile champion, and Morrison just looked down and out for a good portion of this match up. Morrison slowed this thing down with several rest holds, and really tried to get this thing slowed down, because if it were up to Rey he’d be high spotting himself to another win. Mysterio hit the 619 and I thought this one was won, but nope, Morrison hit a spinning kick to the face and this thing was on rails. I couldn’t believe this is a free match on television. Starship Pain was hit and BOOM we got a new Intercontinental Champion! This was a ppv caliber match up.

R Truth was coming down to ringside, and as he went into the ring he got beat up again by Drew McIntyre. Yep, a new guy, and he’s Scottish.

Maria & Eve defeated Natalya & Layla

Awesome, three out of four of these women can’t wrestle at all. I guess this is all they could come up with for the follow up to the Intercontinental Title match. This was one of the worst women matches I’ve ever seen. This match sucked. However, the women did pick it up towards the end, although, it’s just a crap division, I’m sorry, WWE has never done good with the women.

CM Punk vs Matt Hardy No Contest

Matt Hardy looks fat to me. I’m sorry, he just looks fat, and he’s not that great right now. He’s actually slow, and Punk was the one that seemed to be perfectly in shape and ready to go full speed. That being said, this match was half speed for the most part, with a lot of rest holds to slow the pace of the match. There were a few moments where I thought this thing was going to seriously make some moves, but it just didn’t happen. Towards the end of the match it appeared that Punk wasn’t going to be able to put away Hardy, but with a few mistakes on the behalf of Matt Hardy, Punk slowly got this thing to go in his direction. Punk got a steal chair out and started to go to work against Hardy, and for some reason wasn’t disqualified, even though hitting someone outside of the ring with a chair is technically not a legal move in the match. Furthermore, the count was not even going too far, when The Undertaker appeared out of nowhere! He then Chokeslammed the crap out of CM Punk through the announce table! This match was as good as done. No winner I guess…Matt hardy got tore up for no reason it seems.

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Results and Review Lots of Random Crap

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Results

Sting defeated Rhino
Aj Styles defeated Chris Sabin
Doug Williams defeated Suicide
Christy Hemme & Tara defeated Sojo Bolt & Hamada
Hernandez defeated Homicide
Aj Styles defeated Doug Williams
Sting defeated Hernandez via dq

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Review

Sting defeated Rhino

I’m not sure why these two started the show, but they sure did, Sting must not be as big as he used to be. Sting started this match fresh and fast, he even got the Scorpion Death Lock early on. The first thing I noticed was don West is out and that’s rad. Oh and this match had a of rest holds. Sting hit his Scorpion Death Lock and won the match, I think…Rhino beat up Sting after the match.

Aj Styles defeated Chris Sabin

Not sure why Styles was in the second match, it seemed boring to me. Sabin sucks, that’s for sure. Styles literally outmatched Sabin at every turn, and just had his way with the tag team specialist. At least for the most part, there was definitely an interesting situation of sorts. Sabin should get credit though, he kept kicking out of a lot of the offense Styles kept throwing at him, it was an interesting bout to say the least. It’s an interesting overall match, but nothing to write home about. Styles is quite good, even if he’s only the second match.

Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels talked about their upcoming match, it was boring to me, and to you probably too.

Doug Williams defeated Suicide

Overall, this match didn’t do a whole lot for me. Sure Suicide was fast at times, but it was Doug Williams that seemed to have his timing down. Suicide kept things fresh, but overall, Williams had his number in the realms of harder offense. Suicide turned things around for a second or two, but I never thought he had a shot, even after a nice spring board dropkick. Putting moves together, into a string, was ok, but overall I think Suicide is a lame guy. The Black Pope came down to ringside and dropped him, Suicide then tried to get back into the ring, but ran right into Williams for a rolling German Suplex and pin. Impressive end, that’s for sure. That ending made the match, wow, I haven’t seen such a nice set up in a long time.

Christy Hemme & Tara defeated Sojo Bolt & Hamada

Christy Hemme has such a huge forehead, it’s hilarious to me. Hamada, I assumed would be better, however she was sloppy against Tara. Tara as well seemed slow and winded for once, and I wasn’t sure what was wrong with her in this match. Hemme was doing some ok offense, but overall didn’t really put much effort into this match. Sojo Bolt seemed poised to make a better match than anyone else, because Hamada, Tara, and Hemme were not doing so well in the timing department. After the commercial break Tara and Hemme got their act together, but man, this match was so sloppy. Tara hit the Widow’s Peak and this match was over…finally.

Hernandez defeated Homicide

These two, former tag team partners, fought each other straight up. TNA took a page out of the WWE tag team division here, putting former team mates up against one another, breaking up the team in the process. Overall, it was Hernandez that was putting the boots to Homicide, with power moves over Homicide’s quickness. While Homicide hit a lot of good momentary offensive moves, it was Hernandez that delivered the pinfall victory after a great slam. Not a bad match, but not necessarily a good one either.

Aj Styles defeated Doug Williams

Williams can’t talk on the mic, that’s for sure. Doug Williams had this match well in tow, and Aj Styles was getting punished for sure. Williams went from big power moves to rest holds, forcing Styles to really try to get his bearings back into this match up. Williams was one step ahead of Styles for a good portion of this match up, until Aj started to make a comeback, creating a bit of fan fare. Aj Styles won the match, and this match was a bit boring to me.

Sting defeated Hernandez via dq

Sting was getting worked by Hernandez, easily handing Sting a beating, and creating a good overall match, early on; not a bad way to end the show. However, the match really got weird when Homicide attacked Sting on the outside. This interference cost the big man the match.

It wasn’t Homicide, it was Erik Young all along! Then we went to another commercial.

The end of the show sucked. It was basically another WCW Nitro ending. The World Elite, and others ended up in a beat down, that’s about it. It was a melee and that was the end of the show. TNA sucks.

****PERSONAL UPDATE/NOTE******

ECW on ScyFy 9/1/09 Results and Review More Christian Beatdown

ECW on ScFy 9/1/09 Results

Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder
Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov vs Jobbers
Shamus defeated Goldust in a No dq Match

ECW on ScyFy 9/1/09 Review

The show started with a match up, and away we go.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder

This match was starting off slow, but it picked up to a good pace. Ryder was using rest holds to try to ground Benjamin, but it was to no avail. The match started to pick up and Ryder looked stunned at the speed of Shelton, and eventually Shelton hit his finisher Paydirt, and it was all over. Benjamin pinned Ryder, even though Zack Ryder had some great spots, but he just wasn’t fast enough to block Paydirt.

The Abraham Washington Show was up after the break. Nothing major happened on the show, although Tony Atlas was laughing like Ricky Ricardo, and The Hurricane will face Paul Burchill next week.

Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov vs Jobbers

This was dumb. Mindless jobbers getting beat up by the big men, that probably can’t wrestle anyone else. Lame.

Shamus defeated Goldust in a No dq Match

This match was weird, it was NO DQ but it wasn’t necessarily a good match. Their previous matches were much faster, much better, and way more well timed. This match seemed sloppy to me. I must also note that this match came after a longwinded look back at HBK vs Undertaker from Wrestlemania. For a no dq match, there were sure a lot of rest holds utilized. This match was starting to bore me completely. Goldust managed to make this match somewhat entertaining towards the midpoint, but it was still sloppy, and I’m not sure what was wrong with these two competitors. This match sucked, lets face it folks, this was just a bad match. I got bored, you were probably bored, we were all wishing for something else, and it never really happened. Shamus hit the Irish Curse and it was all over. What a waste of time.

ECW sucked this week, I didn’t like it, but oh well.

WWE Monday Night Raw 8/31/09 Review

Dusty Rhodes was the special guest host and he was immediately called down to ringside, to a nice ovation. Rhodes got on the mic and talked about a few things, and I was too tired to care. Sorry folks, I’m back in black, but just very tired. Randy Orton came out and started whining and complaining about Dusty’s attempt to make a title match between Cody Rhodes and Orton for the title! Out came Cody Rhodes, and business was about to pick up. Nothing too crazy happened, but things will definitely heat up later.

Beth Phoenix won a Divas Battle Royal

Divas Battle Royal Participants:

Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, Jillian, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, and Gail Kim

This was your standard over the top battle Royal, only it was really fast, and women were getting thrown over the top rope left and right. Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix put on a good fight against each other, and somehow Jillian also put on a show. Beth Phoenix was basically knocked out on the apron, and Gail Kim fought off Jillian for the majority of this match up. Neither diva could get the upper hand, and this thing really slowed down, after a fast opening. Jillian countered the Hurricanrana which was looking like a major botched move. Gail Kim managed to hang on for dear life while Jillian flew over her, but it was Beth Phoenix that took advantage in the end, knocking out Gail Kim off the apron after a frantic fight, and the Glamazon will get a shot at the title.

Chris Jericho defeated MVP

MVP got a shot at one half of the tag team champions, and this match was ok to say the least. It wasn’t the best match that these guys could pull out, but it had enough of a good set of reversals towards the end to redeem itself. MVP missed his finisher, reversed the Walls of Jericho, but Jericho hit the Codebreaker out of nowhere, and got the win on this one. The match seemed a little slow, then out of nowhere hitting the Codebreaker really had me cheering, so overall, the match ended well, even if it took a little time to develop into something worth watching.

Degeneration X trying to sell dvd’s was stupid. Hornswoggle walking down the halls in a cowboy outfit was also boring…but Undertaker’s promo was scary…He’s back! Hopefully he comes back as the scary taker, not some easily defeated idiot.
Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero in a bull rope match

Chavo was wearing a Cow outfit…I kid you not. This is a new low, I couldn’t believe this was real, this was just the saddest day for Chavo’s career. This was a bull rope match…sadly. I took a bathroom break during this match, and upon returning Hornswoggled had won. Once again, this is a sad day for the Guerreros.

Oh yeah, Evan Bourne came down to help Hornswoggle with the big splash.

Mark Henry defeated Big Show by disqualification

This match sucked, and Show got Henry to hit an exposed turnbuckle. Then Show punched him in the face, and that was that. This match wasn’t that great, and Henry got beat up a lot. Lame.

Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz, Jack swagger, and Carlito

This match had a lot of great spots in this match up. These guys were flying all over the place, spot after spot, and it looked good at times. Even The Miz had a lot of good spots, which was odd. Carlito hit a sweet Backstabber and and I thought he won, but nope, Kofi Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere, and just like that Kofi retains his title. I tell you folks, this was the best match on Raw tonight, even if it was a spotfest, it fit, it was actually good, not bad.

Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix

The wwe title was up for grabs here and it was another title defense for Mickie. Mickie seemed a half step slower than Phoenix in this match up. Towards the mid point of this match, Mickie was favoring her shoulder. Phoenix was taking advantage, hitting some high impact moves and this really calmed the crowd, only setting up a DDT reversal, and the pinfall from Mickie James! This wasn’t a terrible match, but it wasn’t really that great either. I liked the ending, and Mickie James did try to sell that shoulder injury, but eh, the divas title seems like a joke to me, a stupid butterfly belt…lame.

The final match was supposed to be Orton vs Rhodes, with Cena as the referee, but it turned out to be a Dusty Rhodes double cross, which ended with a Cena beatdown from Legacy and Orton, but of course DX came down for the save.

Legacy beat up everyone, including Dusty Rhodes. Everyone was out cold and the show was over.

Not the greatest ending.
