Monday Night Raw Review 1/19/2015 The Brock Lesnar Show

Way to Put Over The new Guys. SRC WWE.com
Brock Lesnar is one of the highlights that I remember about Raw this past week. I forget to write my thoughts down earlier in the week because I’m an idiot. I recall Lesnar coming down and causing a great deal of havoc, but most importantly calling people out. Rollins better get beaten down, Cena of course is going to get taken out. I’m guessing a Lesnar win with a Rollins cash in, but that’s what everyone is saying right now. Could the beast take on both these idiots and actually win? I hope something happens.

Sting showed up. Sting is cool and all, but I haven’t seen him wrestle in a while, and he’s closer to 60 than he is any other age at this point. Triple H vs Sting at mania? I would see it, it could happen, who knows how well it may work out. Sting’s presence got the crowd to go insane.

Daniel Bryan looks weak. He fought a good fight, but every time I see him wrestle I cringe.

The old guys beating up the ascension was definitely terrible. I didn’t like the notion of burying the young guys with all the older guys, but that’s just my take on it.

Ric Flair is amazing on the mic, even when getting knocked out, it’s awesome.

Roman Reigns sucks. Big Show sucks.

Who will win the Rumble?

I’m going to go out on a limb and say, BRAY WYATT.

I miss Raven’s flock. I’m done for now, I’ll see about reviewing or discussing, ranting, or raving about Smackdown. I don’t know.

Overall, Raw wasn’t a great show, and most people will agree. I can’t wait for the Rumble, however, as we’ll finally get a good deal of wrestling. I wish I could be there live, but you know, money and what not.

The WWE Roster Is Weak – Raw 1/12/2015

photo via wwe.com
What a lousy set up for the Royal Rumble, just two weeks out. Some stupid cat outside woke me up and I wanted to shout at it. Instead, I chased it down stairs and then gave it food. I was up at 5 in the morning, and had a chance to sit in for Hulu’s version of Raw. I remember a few things, as the WWE still has some things to talk about, but overall it wasn’t a great show at all.

Roman Reigns Sucks

I agree with Don Tony and Kevin Castle on this one, this guy is NOT charismatic like the Rock. Furthermore, Big Show needs to retire. He is sucking up the place and the “Big Show” sucks chants are overwhelming. Roman Reigns has the look, but his mic work is horrendous, and I can’t get behind that. The whole “shield” gimmick he’s holding onto seems off, and it just needs improvement. Let him wrestle more, no more talking on the mic, Goldberg worked well without talking, this can work well without talking.

Seth Rollins defeated John Cena in a Lumberjack Match

Seth Rollins has the most annoying voice in the world. John Cena losing yet again is a good touch, but the interjection of the heels showcases how bad the roster is right now. The monster heels that came out were laughable, and if that’s all the WWE has, they are definitely anorexic in the back. Rollins and Cena can put on an ok match up, but it feels like they were phoning it in. It was a substandard match, and it worked to push the two forward into Royal Rumble.

Brock Lesnar Is A Beast

Lesnar as champion is stupid. However, I would love to see him beat the snot out of Rollins. I don’t know what to expect from the match coming up, other than Lesnar dropping the title and getting a more stable champion. This lackluster display from Lesnar is dumb. However, the ending where he went through the table was great. Not only that, getting the curb stomp was cool, so maybe Lesnar doesn’t suck? I don’t know, I have mixed feelings. However, the release suplexes were incredible. I love that aspect of Lesnar's strength. It feels seamless and dropping Rollins and Cena fast was a great moment for sure.

The show felt forced, tired, and they were obviously killing time. I can’t imagine how the 3 hour show is because if this is 90 minutes of the “best” parts, it definitely lacks a lot of compelling elements. I don’t like the way it all is turning out, and definitely feel that there’s been better episodes. I wish there was more wrestling on the show. It feels like the WWE is just doing the parody of themselves leading to the Rumble. As a long time wrestling fan, I’m disappointed, but I still watch, and that’s the problem the WWE has. We are all just watching this train wreck.

WWE inducting the Macho Man Randy Savage is great. McMahon not explicitly addressing the Stephanie rumors still begs attention. I heard Vince wasn’t on the documentary too much, which points to deep seeded animosity. Whatever the case is, it’s nice to see Savage get recognition, he deserves it.

Well, until next time, this has been your old pal Sir Jorge talking about WWE and what not. If you are going to shop on Amazon, please utilize the links on the page. Otherwise, I’ll write more when I get a shot at seeing more wrestling. Right now, I do not have cable, but will be moving to Indianapolis in the summer and I should have it then.

Ambrose Brings The Noise But Still Loses – Raw 1/5/2015 Review

photo src WWE.com
Last night’s Raw was terrible according to most of the podcasts that review the ongoing wrestling elements. I found most of it to be boring, but there were a few highlights, which is what I’ll discuss here. It’s too easy to hate on the show, so I will just talk about what I liked and leave it at that.

Bad News Barrett wins the Intercontinental Championship

I’m not sure why they decided to take the belt of Ziggler. I’m a bit jealous of Ziggler for getting to score with Amy Schumer, but that’s just a personal note. As for this match, it was a nice brawl up front, but it turned out to be a 2 out of 3 falls match when Kane came out to shake things up a bit. I found the whole thing contrived, but the two were able to put on a good match, and that’s what I liked. Ziggler has been on my radar for a long time, and I’ve said he’s been able to steal the show many, many times. I hope they give him a main event push, but then again, this is WWE after all. Good overall match, nice to get Barrett the belt for now, but I’m sure we’ll have some BAD NEWS coming down the line.

Stephanie McMahon’s Body

Did you see the terrible dress that Stephanie McMahon was wearing? I did, but man she has a body. Congrats Trips, as if he needs me to congratulate him. She has definitely a booming body, but she works for it. I can’t keep up with the Triple H or Stephanie work outs, that’s for sure.

Bray Wyatt defeats Dean Ambrose in An Ambulance Match

Out of the other things that I liked, this match was definitely top on my list. Ambrose off the top of the ambulance had me cheering in my house. I loved that spot, and loved the tables painted with the Red Cross logos. Going off the ambulance and hitting that elbow drop should’ve won Dean the match, but nope, Wyatt got away with a win and that’s the end of that. This should’ve closed the show, but alas, it didn’t.

Oh, they announced Seth Rollins vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at the Rumble for the title. What the hell is the briefcase for? Rollins to cash in after he loses the match? Whatever.

The rest of Raw on HULU wasn’t grand. John Cena looks tired. The firing of the 3 idiots was ok I guess. I couldn’t stop staring at Stephanie, I’m sorry. Onto Smackdown, I’m sure. In the meantime, visit Amazon and pick something up, or I don’t know, comment, and say what’s up to your old pal Sir Jorge.
