WWE Smackdown Live February 27, 2018 Results and Review The B Show Just Got B-ER

Styles Sent Through A Table - SRC wwe dot com
From the Staples Center in Los Angeles came Smackdown Live for February 27, 2018 and it was most likely a sell out crowd. I miss Los Angeles. I went to several events for Smackdown, and once I paid 400 dollars to sit third row. Today, however, I saw this show on HULU since I didn’t have a few hundred dollars to fly out to see the show.

WWE Smackdown Live February 27, 2018 Results and Review

Moving forward to the night, we first got John Cena come through and demand a shot at something for Wrestlemania. That prompted Shane McMahon to show up and say, ok, you can go to the main event of Wrestlemania if you win two matches. The first which would occur tonight. More on that later.

Baron Corbin defeated Sami Zayn

This wasn’t half bad of a match, but it also wasn’t great. Baron Corbin was able to get a great deal of offense, and Sami Zayn wasn’t laying down either. A good back and forth television match with a slight distraction that would lead to the End of Days and that was the end of Zayn. Dolph Ziggler kicked Kevin Owens at ringside, causing the distraction.

In the middle of this match, there was a segment between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon in which Bryan walked out, after saying he just is going to go home, and McMahon allowed it, while eating popcorn. Ok, well that’s that.

Ruby Riott defeated Naomi

I was impressed with this match a great deal. Ruby Riott was really good at playing up the heel role here, but not just that, she was in sync with Naomi. Naomi playing the good girl role was great, but it was Riott that impressed me with some good timing, counters, and the eventual win on this match. Naomi is fun to watch, but it was Riott’s turn for the win, and that was kind of cool to see.

The Usos and The New Day Again Talked

This was given too much time. The Usos and The New Day just talked, and then the Bludgeon Brothers came out, but there was no pay off, I don’t know what that was all about.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Aiden English

Rusev Day Chants were going crazy here, but it was to no avail. Shinsuke Nakamura would win this one after mopping the floor with Aiden English. Even though Rusev was able to knock him down outside, it was to no avail, English was no match for Nakamura.

John Cena defeated Aj Styles

These two are great together in the ring, and they’ve had barn burners before. This wasn’t one of them. Styles was able to go through a lot of the motions, but it was Cena that would eventually get the win, and that is that. Super Cena is coming back for a little bit, but there is no chance that he wins at Fastlane, and Styles gets pinned yet again. He will now have to defend his title in a six pack challenge, and that should be interesting to map out overall.

That’s it. That’s all that happened on Smackdown. It’s a B show that seems like an afterthought.

Once again, where was Tye Dillinger? Where was the tag division? Where was anyone really, this was a lousy show with a lot of wasted moments where you could’ve had more wrestling if you ask me.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 26, 2018 Results and Review Where Is Lesnar?

No One Is Ready For Asuka - Source WWE dot com
The night after Elimination Chamber, the WWE headed to Anaheim, California and had one hell of a show. This was an interesting night of wrestling, and had a few good moments of course. With that in mind, let’s discuss the WWE Monday Night Raw from February 26, from 2018.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 26, 2018 Results and Review

The show opened up with highlights from the last night, and it wasn’t half bad. I loved the show, I think, it’s been 24 hours removed, but I enjoyed it enough. Tonight’s show opens up with Alexa Bliss and Mickie James coming down to the ring, and baiting Asuka. Once she came down Nia Jax showed up and start to beat her down, and that made a match happen as a result.

Asuka, Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and Mickie James

This was an interesting match, although I am tired of the same formula on both shows, six man tags all the time. It’s about time we get something different, and more than just “one” match a night with the women. It seems like they are lumped into one match and then the rest of the show they are forgotten. There should be more than “one” story line featuring the women going on, and in this match they tried to do that.

Asuka would get the win of course, but not without Sasha Banks getting betrayed by Bayley. She refused to tag her partner in, and let her get beat down. It was interesting to see that dynamic, although Bayley came back to help Asuka. This will no doubt lead to a match between the “friends”, I’m sure.

John Cena cuts a promo.

John Cena said he was going to end up on Smackdown and get a shot at getting a match on Mania. This wasn’t bad, but I didn’t care too much. The Undertaker match isn’t going to happen, for now.

Bray Wyatt challenged Matt Hardy again.

Why? This is a dead feud to me.

Seth Rollins defeated The Miz in a non-title match

The Miz was supposed to find out who he was going to face at Mania, but instead got Rollins in a singles match. This was a good back and forth match, with one hell of a move from Rollins. He hit a frog splash from three quarters of the ring away from Miz. It was amazing to see. Seth Rollins dropped a serious amount of offense and got the pinfall from the Miz.

As soon as the match was over, Finn Balor showed up and took away his thunder.

Finn Balor defeated The Miz in a non-title match

The next thing that you found was that The Miz got his cronies to get a DQ finish, but then Kurt Angle appeared on screen and said that he would have to face off against Finn straight up. The two had a fast paced match, but Balor would get the big win. Finn Balor pushed it through and would hit a nice match with a quality finish. The Miz loses again.

Roman Reigns cut a promo.

Roman Reigns did the same promo that John Cena did against The Rock, oh well.

The Bar defeated Titus Worldwide

This was a fast paced match with The Bar getting a quick pin at first, and then after that, the Titus Worldwide crew threw down some nice back and forth. But to no avail, because The Bar was able to throw down a great deal of offense and of course their finisher for another win. They then cut a promo and said that no one is left. I think they may be right.

Braun Strowman defeated Elias by Disqualification

Elias kept evading Strowman after he did his song to start. Elias was running around the ring and eventually went under it. Braun pulled him out and Elias had a fire extinguisher and kaboom, he hit him with the smoke, and that got him disqualified. Elias then ran, but Strowman kept chasing him and said that he wasn’t finished with him yet.

I suspect a guitar on a pole match is coming.

Ronda Rousey confronted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

This had Ronda Rousey on the mic, which was bad. Kurt Angle caught a right hand from Triple H, and that was that. Stephanie apologized to Ronda, Kurt said he lied, and that was the end of Raw.

The night wasn’t too bad. There was a lot of wrestling shoved into the time slot, but there was a lot to be desired. I didn’t hate the night, but where was the rest of the tag division? Why did Cena and Reigns talk so much? Heck, why was the main event not a wrestling match? Oh well. This wasn’t half bad, but it wasn’t great either.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 Results and Review

Twisted Bliss Off The Pod - Source WWE dot Com
I really wanted to go to Las Vegas to see this event, but instead, ended up staying home and watching it with my 5 cats. Well, it was predictable, but was it worth your time? My time? Well, here we go, something that is definitely worth exploring on a deeper level. Let’s discuss WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 with the results and review from me, Sir Jorge.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 Results and Review

The kick off show had Booker T and David Otunga back. We also got backstage interviews, a Paul Heyman segment, and a match. This wasn’t bad, but I was cooking so I had to miss a few things overall.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated The Miztourage

This was the most basic of openers. I’m sure if I was live in the crowd I would have loved it. But watching it from home, it wasn’t that good. The Miztourage are nothing more than jobbers, and the Club Sandwich boys are boring to me. I didn’t think this was much of a match, and it really wasn’t supposed to be, was it?

Alexa Bliss won the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match

Alexa Bliss withstood an onslaught of punishment from Sasha Banks and Bayley as they were the final three in the match. Bliss turned on Bayley as soon as she could, and Bliss hit a lot of great moments. She missed Twisted Bliss at one point off the top of a pod because Banks put her legs up. Other than that, it was a showcase of several women’s talents, a few botches, and the story that Bliss can hang with all the women, although everyone did well here and I was into it. A 40 minute epic it was not, but it was good to see them fight through this one. Bliss winning is cool, and I liked Banks and Bayley’s push. I hope they get it on one more time as they are great to see wrestling together.

The Bar defeated Titus Worldwide

This was a fast moving match and while it was entertaining, you knew that The Bar was going to win. There was a moment where I thought that Titus Worldwide was going to get the win, but that faded fast after Sheamus got a hot tag and beat down the athletic guys. Titus Worldwide loses again, but Dana Brooke looked amazing. I’d love to tag with her someday. Oh, the Bar wins with a weak finish, and it looked like Cesaro may have twisted an ankle. This was a fast, safe match, and it was kind of like filler.

Asuka defeated Nia Jax

What a match. This was a monster of a match and Nia Jax wasn’t done with Asuka, even though she lost. She lost after an interesting take down from Asuka that pulled Jax’s legs nearly over her head and shifted her weight over her own. It’s a good finish, but Asuka did not dominate. She got the bricks beaten off her, and I was impressed with the overall match. Nia Jax is the real deal folks, and wow, what a match. She’s awesome.

Ronda Rousey put Triple H Through a Table and got Slapped in the Face

This signing was interesting in that Rousey put Triple H through a table, and then got slapped as hard as possible by Stephanie McMahon. Kurt Angle snitched on Triple H and Stephanie, and this was a bit awkward, but Triple H went through a table which was fun. The crowd was chanting, “YOU FU**** UP” which was awesome! Rousey is amazing, I’d love to hang out with her.

Matt Hardy defeated Bray Wyatt

This was bad. It was a normal match, and Hardy won. I don’t know what I can say about this. It was just Hardy getting the win, but the fans were chanting “Rusev Day” at one point, which shows you how much this crowd wasn’t into this match.

Roman Reigns won the Elimination Chamber Match

And away we go, heading to Wrestlemania with Roman Reigns in the main event, again. Now, the big thing coming out of this is interesting, in that Braun Strowman eliminated everyone else with his powerslam. It was a great match for him, but he lost to Reigns, again. He then beat him up afterwards, but that was that. Everyone else had good showings, but no one seemed ready for Strowman, which was fascinating.

In the end, The Elimination Chamber deserves a B grade for entertainment, but it was so predictable, that I don’t really care to rewatch it. That’s the sign of a terrible PPV isn’t it? I haven’t wanted to see anything WWE has put out in a long time, which should speak volumes to this for sure.

WWE 205 Live February 20, 2018 Results and Review The Debut of Buddy Murphy

450 Inverted Splash - SRC wwe dot com
The 205 Live Brand has changed since HHH took over. If the rumors are true, he’s throwing in a show that features far more work rate, and it’s fascinating to see how it changed. I do miss Enzo Amore and the Zo Train, but honestly, there’s a lot of great elements here with the transitions. This time around, we had a great deal of wrestling, and more progression in the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, leading to Wrestlemania.

WWE 206 Live February 20, 2018 Results and Review

Buddy Murphy defeated Ariya Daivari

The opening match had a back and forth sequencing to it that wasn’t half bad. Buddy Murphy was faster than Daivari at different points, but Ariya didn’t just let himself get pushed over. He hit a great deal of his moves, but it was Murphy’s rough and tumble process of wrestling that would garner the success in this one, and Daivari got pinned. The ending sequence is something to behold as this was a great overall match.

Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik defeated Evan Daniels and Corazon Delgado

This was a job match, and the mainstay Lucha Guys beat down the other guys, and that’s that. A burial.

Mustafa Ali defeated Gentleman Jack Gallagher

This match didn’t make much sense to me, Ali took so much punishment that he shouldn’t have been able to do some of the moves that he threw down. At one point, it even looked like he took a bad spill, and was out cold. Gallagher was able to win several times, and I found his offense a bit more crisp than when he was just comedic in character. Ali, despite a shoulder focused beat down, pulled out the inverted 450 splash and he’d win. It was great to see, and he pulled off one hell of a win as Gallagher once again loses.

That’s the end of this night of wrestling, and it was a purist’s wrestling showcase. I liked it, and you should definitely check it out, as it has a great deal of focus on the work of the cruiserweights. Not as good as WCW, but still a good night of wrestling if you ask me.

WWE Smackdown Live February 20, 2018 Results and Review The Worst Show Keeps Moving

Jinder Won't Be Hindered - Source WWE dot com
The B show of Smackdown Live was in full effect with Roman Drapes covering a lot of empty seats that were in the building. This time around we were going to get a few matches, and talking, which is an awful night if you ask me.

WWE Smackdown Live February 20, 2018 Results and Review

The first thing we get is Aj Styles talking to Renee Young about the big match at Fastlane. I was distracted by Young, whom is very beautiful, and Dean Ambrose is a lucky man. Styles kept talking, and I was focusing on Young before Corbin showed up and said that Styles can’t beat him. That got interrupted and matches were set, which we started with Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler

Why would Ziggler leave and come back only to get buried on this show? I am appalled by the logic of having random music play and distract a wrestler, only to have him get pinned. This was a good match until Sami Zayn ran down and distracted Ziggler. Owens won, and that was the end. Not a bad match, but definitely not great, especially the ending.

Jinder Mahal Cuts a Promo

This wasn’t half bad, and if you didn’t like Jinder Mahal cutting a heel promo, then you can’t see past his championship run. He would get the last laugh here as he cut a promo and then hit his finisher on Bobby Roode. Roode did hit a DDT on Orton, but it was Jinder Mahal that stood tall here. I like him, I don’t know what it is, but he’s pretty cool right now. Jinder Mahal is quite good when he’s cutting people down.

The Riott Squad defeated Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Naomi

This wasn’t great, but it had a few good moments. I was impressed with how Naomi’s offense worked here, and I liked how Flair was able to work well with the Squad. The person that was lost here was Becky Lynch, which wasn’t as cohesive as her counterparts. The match went well for the bad girls, however, as The Riott Squad would get the win, and it was good to see. Ruby Riott gets the win, and will get a title shot because of it.

The New Day defeated Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable

The winner would get a title shot at Fastlane, and you guessed what happened, The New Day won again. I’m so tired of the New Day, but hey, they can work well with The Usos, so I guess that’s ok. This match was a good fun romp, and it managed to keep my attention, so that’s a positive.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated Jobbers

This was lame.

Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin

When you have an Aj Styles match, you know you’re going to get a good push forward. Styles was able to carry Baron Corbin through some great momentum. This match was fast, and it was very good at times, with Corbin getting into a big winning point until Styles threw down one last Phenomenal Forearm and gets the big win!

Overall this was awful. I didn’t like this night of wrestling, it was definitely the B show compared to the Monday Night Raw show. Overall, Styles and Corbin put on a good match, but other than that, Smackdown was definitely the B show if you ask me.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 20, 2018 Results and Review Only 4 Things Happened

Alexa Bliss Taps Out - Source WWE dot com
I cannot remember another Raw where the whole show was filled with wrestling, little talking, and highlighting very little of the roster. With such a large roster, you would think that there would be a lot more on Raw, but nope. Not this time, there’s only 4 things that happened on this show, and that makes my life a little easier, but it’s not without a few notes.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 20, 2018 Results and Review

The show opened up with a gauntlet match, and it featured all members of the elimination chamber match for this Sunday.

Braun Strowman won the Gauntlet Match

Now, the story of this match was the performance that Seth Rollins threw in. He was able to garner more than an hour of time in the match, and still didn’t win. He wasn’t able to win, and it was interesting to see how it all went down. After losing to Elias, the Miz came in, and then Strowman came in and the match was over a lot of the opening show, which was fun. Strowman threw down some great moments, and it was all over with a big win. Good stuff here.

Nia Jax attacked Asuka

This was interesting, no doubt, but only because Jax beat up Asuka. Asuka can’t speak English very much, and it was awful to hear her on the mic. She needs to learn better English, as I did, since English is not my first language.

Titus Worldwide defeated The Bar in a Non Title Match

I love Dana Brooke, I’d love to have dinner with her and hear her talk about random stuff. She seems rad. Anyways, this match wasn’t that great, it was a bit short, and had a few back and forth moments, with the Titus Worldwide guys getting the big win.

Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James defeated Alexa Bliss, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose

This match wasn’t too bad, and it was nice to see the women close the show again. This had a great back and forth with the story being that Bliss didn’t want to get into the ring with Mickie James. The match went back and forth with both teams getting a leg up, but it was Sasha Banks that would get the big win making Alexa Bliss tap out!

After the match, Deville and Rose started to beat down Sasha Banks and Bayley, but in came Mickie James and Alexa Bliss to stop them, and that was the end of the show.

Raw was actually fun to watch, because it was full of wrestling and not much filler. Great stuff for the most part, but it was sad to see some things rushed, no 205 Live guys, and missing a ton of the roster. However, this was fun and for that, I’m giving a major plus.

WWE 205 Live February 13, 2018 Results and Review HHH Takes Over

Gulak Throwing Down Some Great Moves - SRC wwe dot com
From what all the news sites have stated this past few weeks, you’ll find that HHH has taken over the show of 205 Live. He’s changing things up and letting more wrestling go on. It has shown, and we are going to be talking about this week’s show.

WWE 205 Live February 13, 2018 Results and Review

Mark Andrews defeated Akira Tozawa

Another round in the tournament went forward and Mark Andrews impressed me. He was flying through the air, and hitting Tozawa with just about everything. The ending was great, with Tozawa getting his finisher on Andrews, only to get rolled up and not let go of the submission and he ended up losing.

Drew Gulak defeated Tony Nese

Wow, this was insane. Gulak threw down technical wrestling, with Tony Nese getting some great offense, but not enough to stop Gulak’s constant onslaught. He would eventually put Nese into his finishing submission, and would get him to go to sleep. What a fight this was, and Gulak is not just another job guy, he’s the real deal.

The 205 Live Show has gotten way better since Enzo Amore has left, and that’s kind of sad. I liked the entertainment value of Enzo Amore, and the Zo train, but alas, that’s the end of that. Great show, go back and see this.

WWE Smackdown Live February 18, 2018 Results and Review The Same Show Every Week

Jinder Mahal Standing Tall - SRC WWE dot com
Another week, another Smackdown that showed off the same old BS.

WWE Smackdown Live February 18, 2018 Results and Review

The opening match was supposed to be Ziggler and Corbin, but it never started. Owens and Zayn beat up Corbin. But where was Tye Dillinger? Oh well.

Charlotte Flair defeated Sarah Logan

Lots of people thought this was the worst match of the week, but I liked this. Flair was good, and was able to carry Sarah Logan during this match, and it was fun to watch for me. I liked the way it all went down, and eventually it ended with Flair spiking Logan and getting the win. I didn’t hate this match, and though that Flair really did well with Logan, and that finale was great.

Baron Corbin defeated Kevin Owens

This was ok, and Owens lost, so Corbin gets into the main event of Fastlane. I’m bored with this.

Bobby Roode’s Open Challenge

Nothing happened here besides a bunch of people answering and no match happening. Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal came in, and it was Jinder Mahal that ended up getting the biggest pop here with his finisher on everyone.

The New Day defeated Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable

This was boring. The New Day won.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Sami Zayn

This was a boring match for me, and I knew who would win. Sami Zayn loses, and that’s that.

Smackdown is so predictable right now, and yet they have so much talent. Tye Dillinger should be running in to interfere because he lost his title shot, but here we are, no Tye Dillinger yet again. The top 10 rankings are BS too. This whole show felt awful.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 12, 2018 Later Than Ever

Bass Beatdown - SRC WWE dot com
I watched the WWE Monday Night Raw show on Tuesday morning, but I wasn’t able to get to the review until today. Starting next week, I’ll be spending more time writing on time, but for now, you 2 readers, here we go.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 12, 2018 Results and Review

John Cena defeated The Miz

The match was above standard and it opened the show. The Miz was able to put on a lot of offense but Cena hit the super AA and it was all over. The Miz definitely threw down his best match, but it was Cena that would conquer the Hollywood Star yet again. I loved the match, and it was a great opener for me.

The Revival defeated The Club Sandwich Boys

This was a boring, short match. The Club Sandwich Boys lose again. I don’t care about them.

Bayley defeated Sasha Banks

This was another good match, and it’s not as good as their NXT feud, but it was a good fight none-the-less. I liked the way that the two went back and forth, with Sasha Banks playing up the fact that she is the boss. I’d love to hang out with her someday, and just shoot the breeze. She seems like a cool chick. Bayley too, we could talk wrestling all day. Either way, this match ended with Bayley getting the win, and it was a good match. Afterwards, Nia Jax jumped the two.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville defeated Alexa Bliss and Mickie James

This wasn’t a great match, and it was short. Bliss and James lose this one, but it wasn’t half bad for what it was.

Braun Strowman beat up Elias

Elias came out to throw in a musical performance, but Braun Strowman showed up and hit him with a bass, and that was that.

Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus

Not a terrible match, but I wonder how bad Sheamus’ neck is. Not as bad as I thought, since he was in here with the Big Dog getting through a quality match.

Finn Balor and Seth Rollins defeated 5 others to get into the Elimination Chamber Match

I didn’t pay nearly as much attention as I’d liked to for this one, and well, the end was Finn and Rollins pinning a guy at the same time. I didn’t care, but they are now in the Elimination Chamber, which is fine, I guess?

Overall, the night of Raw was missing the 205 Live guys, but it had a lot of great action, and it was worth watching all 3 hours instead of the HULU edition.

WWE Smackdown February 6, 2018 Results and Review The Same Old Thing Continues

Bobby Roode Wins Against Rusev - SRC WWE dot com
People used to think that Smackdown was the better show. I disagree. This is just another WWE program that is kind of boring, and it showed with the way that the show pushed through the same old BS that they are always going through. Don’t believe me? Well, let’s consider what went on this week.

WWE Smackdown Live February 6, 2018 Results and Review

The opening of Smackdown features the Daniel Bryan top 10 list which featured the people that you’d expect, without Rusev. Rusev gets the most attention and fan fare, and yet the WWE doesn’t seem to listen.

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan open the show together and they are talking about random BS and how Daniel Bryan is living vicariously through Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Bryan denies it, and we start the show.

Charlotte Flair defeated Liv Morgan

This was an easy match for Flair. Morgan was able to gain the upper hand a few times, but it wasn’t that great. Charlotte Flair fought and won, within a short span. I love Flair, and would love to hang out with her and interview her for this blog. Liv Morgan needs a lot more time to develop, but Flair is grand here.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated JOBBERS

The Brothers win. Ok.

The Usos Cut A Promo

The USOS are good on the mic, and well, they need more challengers.

Bobby Roode defeated Rusev

It was RUSEV DAY and yet Bobby Roode didn’t care. This was a good back and forth match, with Rusev throwing down some great points, but it was Roode that would get the final win with his Glorious DDT. This was a good television match, mind you, not great, but it had my attention, and Rusev loses clean in the US Title Match.

Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable defeated The Ascension

Not a bad match, but not a great one either. The Ascension did throw in some great overall offense, and found the overall fight to be good, but Gable and Benjamin would not be stopped and they get the win. I like that team and think they should get more chances to get the titles, I would watch them in nearly any type of match. They should get a street fight in with the Usos.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ended in a No Contest

This match was a brawl from start to finish. Zayn and Owens put each other through many of their classic moves, and it wasn’t half bad. Owens would end up on the losing end at one point and out came Aj Styles to fight Zayn and Owens, and that was that. At the end of the match, it was thrown out and Bryan threw out that the guys would play in Fastlane.

This night wasn’t that good. It was ok. I liked it a little, but it seemed far too short and missed a lot of different people on the roster.

WWE Monday Night Raw February 6, 2018 Results and Review Walk With Elias

Asuka shakes Bayley's Hand - SRC wwe dot com
Three hours of WWE showed up in Iowa and from what I heard, it was snowy outside, but hot on the inside, just like a baked Alaska dessert. Right? Ok, bad joke, but let’s talk about the greater good of Raw, or the not-so greater good, as the three hour event came to television last night from Iowa, and I watched all of it. Here we go, let’s all walk with Elias and review WWE Monday Night Raw!

WWE Monday Night Raw February 6, 2018 Results and Review

Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt

It was exactly what you thought it would be, and it was awfully good. The match wasn’t half bad, with both guys working their best with a passion for the business and a focus on hitting hard, and getting the crowd into it. Every move hit, every look and more was great here, and Roman Reigns won big. Roman Reigns won, and Bray Wyatt eats another pin, then gets deleted!

Finn Balor and Karl Anderson defeated Revival

The Revival was buried. That’s right, the Revival gets buried by Finn Balor and Karl Anderson, and that’s the end of that. Not a long match.

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali defeated Drew Gulak and Tony Nese

Not a fast match, not a long one, just a great amount of action and that’s it. There was a lot of holds by Gulak and Nese, while Ali and Alexander tried to throw around their high flying moves. It wasn’t half bad, but it wasn’t great either. It was good enough if you ask me. A quick match with Maverick Drake on the mic, which was a nice change of pace.

Asuka defeated Bayley

This match was a good one, with Bayley hanging on for dear life at times, but throwing down Asuka’s offense as well. Asuka gave her some serious respect after the match by shaking her hand, but this was a great showcase for both women. Bayley is far better in ring than Sasha Banks at times, and it’s interesting to see the two matches back to back. Asuka is just amazing here.

The Miz defeated Apollo Crews

Crews was the young gun here and The Miz played smart veteran. The Miz won after capitalizing on a mistake that Crews made. Apollo Crews was making a lot of mistakes here, and it’s interesting to see how the whole match was put together. Crews would get the loss, but he still looked strong overall.

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns via DQ

This was a good overall tag match, lots of action, some good back and forth, but it was not the night for The Shield. Jason Jordan came out and messed up the match for the Shield and they got disqualified. That was the end of those guys getting title shots, and we’ll have to see who is next for The Bar here. I’m not sure where it’s going to go.

Nia Jax defeated Vanessa Floyd

Jax beat down a jobber.

Mickie James defeated Sonya Deville

Another match that featured a veteran in ring performer taking on a rookie and making her pay. Sonya Deville was able to get a good deal of offense, but it was Mickie James that impressed me here. She’s quick, and was able to counter some of Deville’s offense, eventually getting a roll up win. After the match she got beat down by the Absolution crew, but Alexa Bliss came out to save her.

Elias defeated Braun Strowman and John Cena

Elias and Cena ganged up on Strowman and threw him out of the ring many times, and even hitting an AA on the steps. Elias and Cena battled for the most part of the match, and it was interesting how well this turned out. Elias would get the big win, but only after Strowman hit Cena with his running power slam, and that was that.

Afterwards Strowman left both men on the mat, but the end came with Elias pinning Cena. I kid you not. Cena is pinned by Elias!

This night of Raw had a lot more wrestling than most weeks, and I loved it. I actually enjoyed this week’s Raw, including the women’s matches, and that main event with a great ending, as I’m walking with Elias!

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

Asuka Royal Rumble 2018 Winner - Source WWE dot com
After what seemed like 9 hours of programming, the WWE Royal Rumble is in the books. I was tempted not to talk about it, but I had an opening for a few minutes, and so I decided to talk about it today. It’s something that you no doubt want to hear me talk about, or not, I don’t know. What do I know? Anyways, here is 2018 Royal Rumble results and review, featuring 9 matches, and a lot of action.

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado defeated TJP, Jack Gallagher, and Drew Gulak

This opener was in front of 200 people in the building, and it was fun to watch. The guys really threw themselves into the Lucha Style, and it was back and forth throughout. I knew that the lucha guys were going to win, especially with how their reception was. I liked the match, and it ran around 13 minutes, which was definitely grand.

The Revival defeated The Club Sandwich Boys

The Club Sandwich guys are the worst team in the WWE. They get no love, and end up getting buried each week. This time around, in about 10 minutes, they end up getting done over, and that’s that. The Revival was buried at RAW 25, and now it was the Club Sandwich boys that are getting buried.

Bobby Roode defeated Mojo Rawley

Rawley ran down and threw out Roode immediately. He was in control during most of this match, but it was Roode that was able to turn things around and hit a sloppy DDT for the win. It was a sloppy 8 minute match, and it was terrible. This is a waste of Bobby Roode’s talent.

Aj Styles defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This was a sixteen minute slow burning, terrible match. Owens and Zayn would end up losing. Styles was able to get through the action and do his spots, but the two friends were just not getting any love. Owens is reportedly injured, so it was Zayn that took over most of this match.

The Usos defeated Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

This was a 14 minute match and it wasn’t that bad. The Usos were fast here, and they used every tactic to their advantage, and were able to win in two consecutive falls. This was a short match with a lot of fast moves, and it wasn’t half bad.

Shinsuke Nakamura won the Royal Rumble Match

In over an hour, this match was a good fit for the bigger Royal Rumble match. Nakamura was able to gain the upper hand towards the end. Nakamura was in there for a long time, but not as long as Finn Balor, and others. I loved the match, and it had a great winner, who then said he would take on Aj Styles at Mania.

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan

The tag team title match was boring. It was so boring, that they made up a story. Jordan has a legit injury, and he was thrown into a post and he started to cry at ringside. That left Sheamus and Cesaro to win. Rollins won big here, and it was amazing to see things work through for The Bar. They win the titles, and Jordan just sulks.

Brock Lesnar defeated Kane and Braun Strowman

Perhaps the worst title match in Royal Rumble history. So much that the crowd was chanting BS the whole time. It was stupid. Lesnar wins, and that’s that.

Asuka won the Women’s Royal Rumble

In almost an hour, Auska was able to outlast a lot of the women, and once again proved that no one is ready for Asuka! This was a great win, and I loved it. Lots of women showed up, including the Bella Twins, and many women from the attitude era.

After the match, out came Ronda Rousey and that was that. End of the Rumble.

This was a good overall night of wrestling, and I give this a great grade, because it was fun and had a lot of great momentum. I’d go back and watch, but I have a lot more to write about.

NXT Takeover: Philadelphia 2018 Results and Review

Ember Moon Insane Kick - SRC WWE dot com
This past week there was a ton of wrestling to watch if you’re a fan of the WWE. I was unable to write reviews for everything due to work, school, and other commitments, but don’t you worry FAM, I’ve got you here to talk about the incredible and not so incredible happenings in professional wrestling, well, at least for WWE that is.

WWE NXT Takeover: Philadelphia 2017 Results and Review

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated The Authors of Pain

The opening match was for the NXT tag team championships, and it wasn’t half bad. The smaller guys here, you can guess who they are, focused on the limbs of the Authors of Pain. They fought a good fight, but not without having to get a huge beat down within the 15 minutes of action. Eventually, the smaller guys outsmarted the bigger guys and got a nice roll up victory, and the crowd went insane. I like the new guys here, they are small, but they are focused on the type of technical wrestling that you’d expect from Bret Hart and the likes.

The Velveteen Dream defeated Kassius Ohno

Another great match occurred here, this time with Kassius Ohno and Dream exchanging some hard hits. Dream said that he would knock out Kassius in 30 seconds, and it seemed to have gone down that way at first, and the crowd was incredibly behind Dream. Ohno recovered and the two went back and forth with some amazing moves, and athleticism that you’d not expect from these big guys. Dream would hit his finishing elbow half way across the ring, and I’m sure Macho Man was very proud.

Ember Moon defeated Shayna Baszler

This was an incredible women’s match, and it was for the NXT women’s title. Shayna Baszler is a machine, and she had this thing won, working over Moon’s shoulder and arm for the entirety of the match. She would’ve won if Moon didn’t roll her up and Baszler would’ve let go of the armbar that she had on her. This was the smartest finish for a women’s match I’ve seen in a long time, and Baszler showed off an incredible skill set, while Moon defended her title like a real champion. I loved it. Go back and watch this one, and be impressed by how far women’s wrestling has come in the United States in a long time.

Aleister Black defeated Adam Cole in an Extreme Rules Match

In 22 minutes, the WWE received one hell of a match of extreme proportions. Black wasn’t just dominant here, as Cole was able to throw down a lot of offense and even take some of the most brutal shots. Black was taken to the limit here, and Cole didn’t let up, BAYBAY, eventually he’d get the Black Mass and lose. But this was an all out war, and one of the best Extreme Rules matches I’ve ever seen. This is second only to the Submission Match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin, it was that good.

Andrade Cien Almas defeated Johnny Gargano

The Tuna Meltzer gave this match a 5 star review, and if you saw it, then you agreed. Gargano put on a show here and Almas was just as good. I was surprised by the chemistry that the two had, and the reversals, offense, and intricate technical styles that the two blended together to make this happen. Even Bret Hart would’ve been impressed with just how good this match was. I was completely blown away by how the two were able to work through a 32 minute bout and make you believe that it was a title change about to occur. Gargano would eventually lose, but not without giving Almas the fight of his life.

After the matches, out came Tomaso Ciampa and he knocked out Gargano with a crutch, and the crowd went insane. I loved it.

NXT Takeover Philadelphia showcased an incredible amount of good wrestling, and didn’t take 3 hours to do it. My favorite match was the extreme rules match, but the whole card was great. I wish I could’ve gone to see it in person, that’s how good this was, and am kicking myself that I didn’t get on a plane.
