ECW's 100th Episode Cashes In 5/6/2008

ECW steamed through their 100th episode and I was quite surprised at how much show was actually packed into a one hour episode. The show featured some good match ups, but ultimately let me down in the end.



ECW actually had an extreme match for once! Tommy Dreamer was in his own element last night wrestling Mike Knox and I was really rooting for him, but it was to no avail, he lost miserably.



Tommy Dreamer is nothing more than a jobber at this point. He’s the new school Barry Horowitz.

Matt Striker wrestles? Apparently so, and to build up Kofi Kingston a bit more, they are pushing him through the ECW roster in order to get to the title, or jump ship to another show. Kingston has got some movies, but overall…he’s no Shelton Benjamin!



Benjamin and Kingston will most likely continue to feud as Benjamin’s beat down on Kingston last night had shades of old school professional wrestling; which makes me happy for a change.

Who knew Armando Estrada could wrestle? Who knew that WWE would actually sign an independent talent? Who knew they would allow him to win over the general manager of Ecw?

Not I, that’s for sure.

Delaney somehow managed to mop up Estrada, pick up the contract and join the superstars of wrestling; and the countdown begins to when they will bury Delaney and his hopes of joining the elite crew in the main event scene.

One thing’s for sure, the kid can bump like Foley.



The main event wasn’t all that great, but it was enough to keep me interested. The thing that disturbed me most, was not that the match was just a beatdown on Chavo, or that the new guy is getting pushed into the ECW main event scene; it was the parting shots of ECW as it went off the air.

The WWE is foreshadowing a match between Kane & Punk vs. The Tag Team Champions The Miz and Morrison. This of course is going to mean that the titles will once again get hot shotted to a temporary, non “tag team” partnership.



I’m already hating ECW…although they managed to not screw up their much anticipated and publicized 100th episode.

Raw Annoys Me Again 5/5/2008

Raw was doing well, somewhat well, and then the stupid storyline with Regal turning off the lights came through yet again.

What the heck?

Why is this guy on such a power trip? Especially since the fans were getting to see some fresh action.

There has to be some other way to get more heat for Regal, than to ruin what little programming we have on Monday nights in regards to professional wrestling.

Whatever the case is, there seemed to be a huge cluster of ideas getting tossed around on Monday Nights Raw.

The Women’s division is looking like it has a little spark getting thrown in there, but not enough to rival the TNA knockouts at this moment.

The tag champions look like crap, losing to two wrestlers that are NOT normally put together. This complicates matters for many fans that want a more serious WWE tag team division.

The WWE really must not want to have a tag division, because they always bury the champions in non title matches, then they hot shot the titles to random pairings, or they will have champions (like Holly & Rhodes) and NEVER use them for a title defense.

It’s nice to see DH smith on the show…but fed to JBL? Way to put over new talent guys.



The WHOLE ECW roster against HHH and Kennedy? What purpose does this serve at all? I guess it keeps the ECW guys wrestling instead of waiting for their Sci-Fi channel 1 hour show with 1 match....and no real action.

Could the WWE really be ending the ECW show? Moving all ECW active roster wrestlers to wrestle on Raw and/or Smackdown? It looks like they are testing them out on Raw to see who is going to stay and who is going to go. Or I could be completely wrong.

But a quick note....The Chair Shot Heard Round the World! Will this set up a Heel turn for either C.M Punk or HHH? Will we get to see C.M. Punk vs. HHH in the near future? I hope so!



Adamle crashing the Raw announce team is also stupid, and comments made by JR on wwe.com have Adamle looking really crappy and pompous for no reason.

Ashley Massaro Naked For Money

I'm not really sure how this all works out, nor how WWE is going to spin it into their favor.

One thing is for sure, Millions upon Millions of people are going to search into the details of Ashley Massaro's sordid past.

News broke out that the FBI found her name amongst a list of names that were under the employment of a high end call girl ring. Ashley was quick to post on her myspace that she is not involved at all.

Was she?

She was in playboy, and is a current diva....but before that? A high end call girl?

Why are pornstars celebrated and call girls not? I'm not talking about street workers, I'm talking about high end prostitution...isn't the line a little blurred?

Whatever the case is, Ashley's wwe future might come into jeopardy if the FBI start really snooping to find out that she was involved in more ways than one.

I wonder if Charlie Sheen knows her?

Ok, this post is definitely going nowhere, but if you're not aware...Ashley's in hot water right now.

Oh and Undertaker getting stripped of the title made me upset.

Mike Adamle Quits ECW

What's this?

A Work?

Or is it real?

Did Mike Adamle finally quit the WWE?

Speculation remains rampant in the locker room as well as in WWE offices and at WWE.com headquarters. Some believe Adamle is quitting the company. Others say it’s simply a ploy to make more money.

The most popular belief is that his walk-out was a result of the hostile environment at WWE events. Superstars have not been shy about teasing the commentator about his on-air gaffes. Also, perhaps worst of all, Adamle has been greeted by shouts of “Please quit,” “You suck,” and even “Drop Dead!” from our fans in the rows closest to the announcers’ table.

Santino Busted Drinking and Driving

Santino, the funniest thing to happen to wwe in a long time, was caught drinking and driving! That's right, good ol' Santino gets a DUI!

I'm not surprised.

After reading the books from professional wrestlers, watching the dvd's where stars talk about the 80's, drinking and driving just doesn't surprise me when in context of the WWE or wrestling in general.

Is this the end of the push of Santino?

I for one think that his push towards Tag Team gold might end.

But one thing to consider....does WWE pay so low that the mid-card to upper level card has to drive their own cars to and from events? How sad is this crap?

Whatever the case is, Santino is an idiot for doing this, mistake or not. This reminds me of the time when Sabu and Rvd got busted for marijuana possession; where are they now?

Exactly.
