Smackdown Review 6/28/2008 New Blood
Friday Night Smackdown was in Texas, and we saw the first time for HHH and J.R as well as the new draft picks facing off in matches. The whole show was not spectacular, but it had enough moments to make it a worthwhile watch. This is how it all went down.
Big Show & Kane defeated. Mark Henry & MVP
This match was extremely slow. All things considered, three of the members of this match were really heavy, and aren’t really high flyers or anything like that. MVP really looked out of place, but managed to make the most of it. The heels team really didn’t work out so well, and Kane punished the former United States Champion with a choke slam for the three count.
Finlay & Hornswaggle defeated Ryder & Hawkins
The tag team division is really hurting. The Edge followers lost this one in a glorified squash. I like Finlay, but this win streak isn’t going to last forever, and it’s only a matter of time before they split the team up, and Hornswaggle gets fired. This match is just fun, it’s not really heavy, it wasn’t a clinic of technical prowess, it was just fast paced and easily performed. It really just proved that the Edge-kins aren’t that good after all.
Edge defeated. Matt Hardy (Non Title Match)
We saw a series of these matches already take place, not too long ago, when Hardy started to come out through the crowds to fight Edge. If you remember, Matt Hardy was fired and then revealed that Lita was sleeping with Edge while going out with him.
The two took different roads. The fans really got behind Hardy, and WWE caved in and brought him back into the fold. He later won 2 out of 3 major encounters with Edge before Edge went on to still screw Lita and then win the World Heavyweight Championship by cashing in the money in the bank briefcase.
This match wasn’t all that great, and we saw the traditional spots that these two do. For having so much history and animosity in the past, they worked well and managed to make a good enough match to be in the midcard…or what some might refer to as the 9 o’clock main event.
The match took a turn towards boredom with some rest holds, but later took some exciting moments and the closing sequences were so well timed, that this was definitely a highlight of the night for me. Edge pulls it off, but barely!
Natalya, Victoria & Maryse def. Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly & Cherry
The women had something to prove in this match, creating quite the match up. Although, you could still see that some of the divas are green, they did show some improvement and even had some great lucha libre style. The heels won, but it didn’t even matter any more.
Vladimir Koslov defeated Domino
This was just a squash match. This was actually the worst match of the night. Domino’s partner was drafted, and now he’s solo. They’ve just buried Domino, let’s just forget that there’s a tag team division in WWE. At least TNA still keeps their tag team division alive. I miss the old days where Tag teams meant something.
Koslov sucks. He’s slow, he’s stupid, reminds me of Chris Masters, without the charisma or Masterlock challenge. A squash…it’s only a matter of time before Domino is fired.
Rey Mysterio came out to have a cool speech, although it was boring to me.
He’s not retiring, he’s just going to RAW, that’s all.
Batista vs. Umaga
I want to say that I remember these two meeting up, but I’m not sure. This is an interesting little bout and really set up the rest of one man’s career. Or maybe not…La Familia ran in and interrupted this match up ruining the match, and causing the whole thing to be thrown out. Some might call this the “Dusty” finish, some might just call it a cluster…or the TNA ending, but this fit in quite well.
HHH ran out to save Batista, and La Familia got the last say as Batista is now going to Raw.
Jim Ross was overly excited on Smackdown and really overshadowed Mick Foley’s commentary, creating a really weird vibe overall. Jim Ross didn’t look too upset with being on Smackdown, although Foley did make some comments about it earlier. Ross shrugged them off, and just went on with the show.
Smackdown was ok, I wasn’t too thrilled with every moment, but there was enough of a show to create some interesting wrestling. I hope that Koslov gets some serious opponents soon.

TNA Impact Review 6/26/2008
I got a DVR, finally! So Now I'm watching all the wrestling shows I can get to the next day, rather than staying up really late each night to catch up on wrestling. So with that new introduction, here is the first of MANY reviews of TNA WRESTLING IMPACT ON SPIKE TV! They are slow to post photos, so I don't have many photos, but here's the straight
A.J. Styles defeated Consequences Creed
The opening bout was very impressive. There is nothing like this in WWE right now, and TNA can definitely grow these new guys into something. I know AJ is a veteran, but this is my first time seing creed. Creed is like a darker Carlito. Creed reminds me a lot of the first time I saw Butch Reed in WWF when I was a kid. He's got a lot of talent, fast, and has a lot of style and charisma. Aj pulls off the Style Clash for the win.
Great opener, fast paced, lots of good spots, and wow...Creed is a very good new comer to TNA.
The storyline with AJ Styles and Kurt Angle is really stupid to me. TNA doesn't need this. Nothing good comes from these types of story lines. I remember Chris Benoit and Kevin Sullivan getting into major problems because of this sort of thing. BUsiness is business, and a match between A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle would be great without this stupid storyline.
One thing I noticed, there are A TON of commercials between action in TNA. After the first match up, I had to wait quite a while for anymore wrestling action.
Christian Cage defeats Bubba Ray Dudley via DQ
This match was a throwaway match. There was some good action early on, however, the match ended swiftly with some quick interference, causing Christian to gain the win.
After this match, something crazy happened. Team 3-d and their crew brought out a glass table, and BOOOM Powerbomb from the top rope dropping Christian right through! Of course, this is wrestling, so um…Just pretend it’s real glass…ok? Yeah.
I noticed that Bubba Ray Dudley has gotten fat since the last time I saw him. Christian looks a little thinner than the last time I saw him. Tomko is still huge. Devon is fat.
One thing about the spot; did you notice how fake it really was?
Here’s what I noticed, so follow along:
The Trainer came to help Christian with a pre-bloody towel.
The trainer helping Christian, let his guard down and allowed full camera view of Christian’s back, which had no visible blood or damage.
The Ring was not bloody at all.
I’m fine with “pretending” wrestling is something more, but this just insults me completely as a fan.
Awesome Kong defeated A Fan “Danielle”
The women’s division is awesome. But this is not necessary. Awesome Kong beats the crap out of what apparently is a female wrestler, or a porno star, or someone that is NOT just a fan. This is a jobber fest, and really is just boring.
Rey Bucanero & Ultimo Gurrero Team Mexico defeated. Goi and Yoshino (spelling is not 100% sure) Team Japan
I admit, I was marking out huge for this one, Rey Bucanero is one of my favorite Luchadors from Mexico, and to see him in TNA is just amazing to me.
This match was awesome, the Mexican style and the fast Japanese style was awesome and created a great interlude between American wrestling and International pro-wrestling.
Wow…this is what I’ve been missing in WWE. WWE should and could learn a lesson from TNA and old WCW…the cruiserweights are AMAZING! You owe it to yourself to watch TNA if only for these matches, oh man, such a great match up.
Moose defeated ODB (Bimbo Brawl)
Woa! I thought it was Raven, but it wasn’t. Moose came out with a shopping cart full of plunder! That’s right, I said plunder! Moose looked like the female version of Raven! They called this match a “Bimbo Brawl” but it was basically a Raven’s rules match. No rules!
This was awesome! Finally a women’s extreme match up! This reminded me of ECW in the format of this match up. The match was just a clear beat down, ala Extreme! I have a ton of respect for the TNA knockouts after watching this match. This was cool. Probably my second favorite match of the night.
The ending was awesome, like an old Raven match up. Wow….wow…
Booker T. defeated Kevin Nash (no dq)
This match was slow. Kevin Nash is not in his prime at all. Booker T did his best to carry this match up, but it was broken up by Samoa Joe, who was ringside for Nash. The ending was really something out of the WWE playbook. Samoa Joe accidentally super kicks Nash, Booker T then picks up the win.
The same thing happened with HBK and Nash way back when. Only that time, it actually was good. This one is a little more convoluted.
Here’s the video of last nights ending.

ECW Review 6/25/2008
United States Champion Matt Hardy & CM Punk def. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz (non-title)
The opening match on ECW was fast paced and somewhat enjoyable. However, it seemed to be a lot of the same stuff we’ve already seen from Punk and the tag team champions. Matt Hardy and Punk did win this one, and while it was entertaining to watch, it just seemed to be obvious that Hardy is being “demoted” somehow.
Kofi Kingston def. Shelton Benjamin (Extreme Rules Match)
This match actually had me somewhat excited, however, it wasn’t that extreme. Kingston scores huge with the trashcan lid, and Benjamin really gets worked in this one. Kingston took some good bumps, but overall this match had “Jamaican me Crazy” written all over it.
Mike Knox def. Evan Bourne
In the obvious progression of new comers to the WWE, Mike Knox beat the crap out of Bourne. Evan had some amazing moves, and it was nice to see that the WWE allowed his spots to come through, especially since the WWE hates letting cruiserweights do high spots, or high risk maneuvers. Knox looked like a monster, finishing off Bourne with a succession of moves that really did look painful. Welcome to the suck, Evan Bourne.
Mark Henry def. ECW Champion Kane (non-title)
This match bored me to death. Seriously, this match was so slow, and ridiculous. Why does the WWE put Mark Henry in matches? I hate Mizark Henry.
Ecw this week was ok, but with the new additions to the roster, will we see a change next week? Or will we continually get 1 hour and 2 good matches.

Raw 6/24/2008 Results: Vince McMahon Dead
Complete Raw 3 Hour Draft Special Restuls
WWE Champion Triple H def. Mark Henry. Rey Mysterio was drafted to Raw from SmackDown.
Finlay & Hornswoggle def. Santino Marella & Carlito. Jeff Hardy was drafted from Raw to SmackDown.
What a waste of a match. Seriously, what a waste. Mark Henry never had a chance.
Jeff Hardy going to Smackdown is going to be awesome. That will definitely be good for their demographic of Lucha Libre fans, and hopefully we can see some movement in the world title hunt.
World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes def. Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely. CM Punk was drafted from ECW to Raw.
Ted Dibiase on commentary was good. He seems to know what's up, and the new Million Dollar Man book looks awesome. Although that book is only the second book he's done, because he previously released a biography. This one will be fuller, i'm sure.
As for the CM PUNK trade, that's good, but what about the Money in the Bank Suitcase? I guess eventually he could go wherever he wants, so the Draft isn't that big of a deal.
WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz def. United States Champion Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy was drafted from SmackDown to ECW.
WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James & Melina and the team of Victoria & Natalya were in a tag team match that ended as a double disqualification. Jim Ross was drafted to SmackDown and Michael Cole was drafted to Raw.
Melina took a major bump, and messed up her ankle, causing the match to just go into a double DQ. Either way, Michael Cole and Jim Ross traded places, and both looked very sad about it. The King and Foley also looked appalled and had to really try to suck it up and continue the match up.
J.R. Almost Quit over the news, so they say....
John Cena def. World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Batista was drafted to Raw from SmackDown.
Cena of course defeats Edge, although by count out. Batista is drafted, and this story only makes sense if Edge already knew the outcome, because now he's rejoicing. But Batista still gets a shot at the title.
MVP def. Tommy Dreamer with Colin Delaney. Umaga was drafted to SmackDown from Raw.
The jobbing Machine lost badly. Delaney got tore up! Umaga goign to Smackdown is somewhat interesting, but he's not much a monster to me.
I think Jamie Noble is going to be fed to him to prove that he still can wrestle.
JBL def. Kofi Kingston. ECW Champion Kane was drafted to Raw from ECW.
Kane is going to Raw? What about the ECW title? This makes no sense; I guess Big Show is going to take the title? I don't know. The match was cool though, KOFI is seriously good, if he can get some help in the ring and JBL did alright, even though he's fat.
Edge won a Tri-Branded 15-Man Battle Royal. WWE Champion Triple H and Mr. Kennedy were drafted to SmackDown from Raw.
Batista getting busted wide open was insane. I can't believe that there was no blading in this one. He ran head first into Edge's head and he got busted open the hard way. He was a mess, and Cena was trying to give him some time by mopping up anyone who got in front of the big man. Batista held on a while until he got thrown out by Big Show.
The match was good, but the ending...wow....Triple H and Kennedy gone to Smackdown.
Overall this weeks Raw was really good. I liked it a lot. I hope that they continue to level this all out.
My favorite spot was Y2J coming out and HBK attacking him. Now that's what I call a feud!
Vince McMahon Dying was lame. He's not dead, he's not hurt, that angle is so stupid.
What do you think?

TNA Can't Draw Flies
Looks like TNA is finding themselves in a WCW boat of sorts. From what I can gather, they can't draw outside of Florida, and there's some definitive evidence to back it up now. Apparently 4,000 FREE tickets were given away for a TNA event recently. TNA hasn't ventured far from the lot of the old WCW stomping grounds, but this is just ridiculous.
When was the last time people were given free tickets to a major/minor wrestling show, in recent history? If you guessed XPW, you'd be correct. Apparently TNA can't draw what they believe they can, and while they have slick production values, and a ppv a month, they can't compete with WWE in the grand scheme of things.
It looks like those of us on the west coast will probably never see TNA.
Furthermore, TNA isn't even getting to where ECW was when on TNN. I distinctly remember ECW running shows in California, sold out, with no free tickets given away.
TNA has a long way to go before stepping up to Vince McMahon, that's for sure.

Batista Is A Wuss
Batista is in the wrestling news today and I think it's hilarious. Batista is talking about retiring from wrestling in a couple of years. He's currently 39 years old, and he's talking about retiring, what a wuss.
What makes me say that?
Well, remember Randy "Macho Man" Savage? He was in his 40's while in WWE, and in fact by the time Savage got the title run he was in his 40's. When he went to WCW he was getting older, but no one can deny he put on some great matches against DDP and others.
Sure he wasn't the greatest, but he didn't talk retirement at age 39, he was barely getting started!
Batista must have been doing too much steroids, or not enough, because juiced out or not Randy Savage was doing great at that age.
Batista hasn't even done anything worth watching over again, except maybe some stuff in the Royal Rumble. Other than that, Savage wins hands down at that age.
For example here is some quality footage from Savage vs. DDP...keep in mind both DDP and Savage are old...Batista old...and they weren't talking retirement, that's for sure.

Kofi Kingston The Next Big Thing
Kofi Kingston was not my favorite character addition to the ECW roster. However, he is definitely proving to be one of the best athletic new talents going for the WWE.
Last night he put up a somewhat watchable match, and if the WWE moves him to another brand we could see a great competitor for MVP and others.
He isn't proven though.
I know that he isn't proven, but a lot of guys got the push without much proof. For instance, remember a young guy named Razor Ramon? Sure he was the Diamond Stud in WCW but he burst into WWE and within a few months was the Intercontinental Champion and was taking on all comers.
Same thing with Diesel, who is also known as Kevin Nash.
Kingston might be able to capitalize on the push that WWE gives him, if he can get over the Benjamin feud and move onto greener, better pastures.
On the flip side, WWE has a track record of burying talent even if they are talented, and I'm sure Kofi would fit in nicely in TNA's X-Division.

WWE and Rock Music Licensing
WWE Music recently was the subject over at idolator.com, and it's interesting to note that the WWE has to pay huge royalties and finds it hard to license music. It's so hard in fact, that they even cite how record labels are jumping through hoops for MTV even though no one is watching/hearing MTV like they are on Raw & other WWE programming.
I can't honestly remember one time that I wanted any music from WWE, with the exception of this one Disciple Song.
What ruined it for me was the Summerslam that they kept playing "Let the Bodies Hit The Floor" over and over again without ceasing.
They kind of do that now with PPV and flashbacks, but it's not nearly as bad. I remember liking Batista's older music, I Stand Alone...or am I mistaken? I know that song was on the Scorpion King soundtrack, but didn't Batista use it for a while?
Whatever the case is, WWE wants more cooperation from Record Labels as they feel that millions of people watching wwe programming could help generate interest in many different bands. This could be true, since a lot of ppv theme songs end up getting live on air mentions from J.R and The King as well as the rest of the commentary crew. Some of the artists aren't half bad.
But will the WWE win this one? Or will we have to hear "My Time Is Now" by John Cena forever?

RIc Flair
Just like I said before, No One In Wrestling Really Retires....except maybe Kevin Sullivan at Bash at the Beach 1997 (Sullivan vs. Chris Benoit; Classic).
Last night's raw was more along the lines of a WTF? Raw.
Seriously, the ending, the ending did it for me. I wanted to throw a shoe at my television. But that wasn't the worst part of it all.
Ric Flair comes back and nearly beats down Y2J for no good reason. Y2J couldn't have possibly signed off for this, could he?
HBK wasn't on the show, and Flair was defending him...and what a mess!
Raw was lame last night.
On a sidenote: I won't be doing reviews of the shows any longer, since there are so many out there. I'd rather just talk about the worst part about raw, and if you're itching for the results, i've added a "news" link to the sidebar, so go nuts with that.

Do We Need Another Wrestling Podcast?
Does the world need another Wrestling podcast?
I already listen to:
Dasharpshooters.com
and
smartwrestlingfan.com
But do we need another one?
I purchased a microphone this weekend, and could technically do a wrestling podcast, but would anyone listen?
Does anyone care?
I did notice a major thing in current wrestling podcasts, and that's the negative attitude towards the product.
Could a positive podcast be in order?
Let me know if you, the reader, would like a Sir Jorge WWE Podcast, and if we get enough people interested, I might be able to do it...although the first few episodes will be horrible.

McMahon Is Full of It
Vince McMahon isn't giving away 1 Million dollars, he's trying to get ratings, and it is not working! Many wrestling insiders have already reported that the WWE is so upset with the lack of response to ratings, that they are going to curtail the million dollar giveaway faster than fast.
Did you win?
I didn't win crap.
Now, thanks to Smackdown's crack announce team, you have to go back to wwe.com and re-register to win some money.
But, the chances of you winning anything are slim and none, and slim just left the building.
Vince McMahon is full of it.
Better Matches, Better Feuds, More wrestling, and less stupid storylines would work a lot better in getting the ratings up.
They need to make new stars; they have so much potential. They need a tag division...they need...they need....
RAVEN!
A longshot, I know, but come on...anything but the product that is growing stale.

Smackdown Review 6/13/2008
Smackdown rolled through yet again, with another show, but this time, unlike last week, it was a little boring. Sure we saw some interesting match ups, but overall, I just wasn’t really into this show. Maybe Raw was better this week, with all the possibilities and Vince getting rick rolled.
Morrison and Finlay had an interesting match up, but I hope this is not going to be the beginning of the end of the tag team championship reign of the current champions, or the end of the Smackdown tag team belts.
The last time Finlay and his son got into the gold, we lost the Cruiserweight championship and it has never come back, yet. Could this be the beginning of the end? Maybe. Finlay loses a lackluster match, cleanly.
Mark Henry squashed Tommy Dreamer, and further proving my point that Tommy Dreamer really is dead to the wrestling world. It must be nice to get a paycheck that involves about five minutes of wrestling, mostly just getting beat down by whatever “monster” of the month there is at the time.
Cherry and Maryse put on an ok match, but it was short and lacked a lot of what the divas have in potential.
MVP immediately squashes CM Punk, after Punk was backstage threatening Edge. Looks like CM Punk is just using that brief case for now, but we all know that Hardy deserves that case rightfully. Once again, WWE throws punk a bone only to steal it back in the same motion.
U.S. Champion Matt Hardy wrestled Chuck Palumbo, or Undertaker Lite, as I like to call him. It was a boring match up, but it is nice to see Hardy moving towards the upper card…but I doubt he’ll get a major title run anytime soon. Unless you consider the U.S Championship a major title right now.
Jesse & Festus vs. Deuce & Domino bored me. I don’t care about either team at this point.
Batista stopped The Great Khali. Proving that we don’t need the Undertaker around. Great…just great.

WWE Drops The Ball 6/11/2008
Does this look Extreme to you?
Why would anyone stay up until 10 pm to watch ECW? One thing that ECW does have going for them is the fact that they stuff the 1 hour show with a lot of content. But that doesn't make it good.
WWE had a great night on Raw, and I enjoyed it completely, but this? This is just poop.
It's so bad, that I no longer want to consider ECW EXTREME!

Raw Review 6/9/2008 best raw in a while
This week's raw was one of the best Raw's in a long time, and I'll explain in this amazing review...well...raw anyways.
First and foremost, the RAW giveaway was lame. I knew I wouldn't win, and McMahon didn't even know how to dial a phone! Idiot!
Oh and what is Charlie Haas doing? I knew it was going to end bad. He's off the juice..he's looking flabby.
Kennedy and Paul Burchill pulled off one of the quickest matches in recent Raw history. But the one thing that negated the length of the match was the fact that it was actually really good. The match was good, but Kennedy won clean.
The feud was building well, but by not having a DQ finish, the feud should end. He won CLEAN!
Afterwards Paul Burchill came in and attacked Kennedy, but so what?
Kennedy already won CLEAN! It’s over, in my book, but of course this is just the beginning.
Consider the past for a moment. Can you name an epic feud that started with a clean win?
Yes.
Bret Hart and Stone Cold tore the house down at Survivor Series 1996, only to continue to feud through out 1997 and launch Stone Cold’s face turn at Wrestlemania.
Could Burchill and Kennedy do the same for each other?
I don’t think Burchill is a big enough star to do it, but Kennedy could give him the rub. I think it could end up being really good.
The best Divas match up I’ve seen in a long time. The glamazon definitely was my pick for this match, as she was handling Mickie James quite well with brute force. However, there was a turning point, and wow, Micke James has really stepped up her game!
Melina came in after the match, and the Glamazon got pwned! Melina is looking vicious, even though she already lost at the last ppv, and in humiliating fashion.
Is the WWE feeling the heat of TNA for once?
I hope so, because these matches are getting better and better.
JBL and John Cena caused my wife and I to boo out loud in our living room. These two have wrestled so many times, I can’t believe that they would be in a match up yet again. However, they found a way to make it fresh, and the finger pointing between HHH and JBL was a foreshadowing for the future…which at first I thought may have indicated a triple threat match for night of champions, but then, later in the show, I realized that a four way match could be set up with all these characters.
I was hoping for a HHH vs. JBL match, which would be cool, since it is fresh and new in my viewpoint.
I hated the ending, a schoolboy victory for John Cena, which caught JBL by surprise. However, I would have preferred Cena to have gone down, but he didn’t.
Interesting point on commentary, HHH said that Cena was the Rocky Balboa of the WWE, and that no matter how much of a beating he takes, he just keeps coming back for more.
I wasn’t sure where the Highlight Reel was going, and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Y2J was slowly building heat, and then unleashed the fury! The beat down that HBK was beginning to give was epic, and then…the cowardly nut shot, ouch! Then the ultimate; face first through the flat panel television. This was the shot heard round the world in recent memory!
No blade job, just right through the screen. Y2J satisfied, and WWE finally doing something right in the world of wrestling. This feud is heating up so hot, it’s burning.
This is a long standing feud that is not going to end in a one on one encounter, we’re going to see a cage match or something epic with these two. I can just feel it.
Y2J is a way better heel than people give him credit for, and HBK can work hard…so bring it WWE, let these guys steal the show yet again!
Cody Rhodes and Bob Holly lost to the return of the monsters. I can’t believe Snitsky and Umaga are back! No, no, wait….I can’t believe Snitsky is back.
In my magic ball, I see Holly and Rhodes dropping the titles to Umaga and Snitsky, then Rhodes getting frustrated with Holly ditches him or walks out on him to join Ted Dibiase Jr. in the ultimate tag team!
Mark these words, and wait for it, because it’s simply Priceless!
Cryme Tyme finally has a match, but what a match up! Not really, Santino getting buried is not my greatest option of choices. Cryme Tyme is high on the card, which is odd, but what the greater question is;
How long before Cryme Tyme gets split up into single wrestlers?
Why can’t they join the “Priceless” stable?
No Wait!
How about this stable:
Mark Henry, Cryme Tyme, Shelton Benjamin, Elijah Burke, Kqwik, and Kingston!
Now that’s a new Nation of Domination. I could see it now!
First and foremost, Triple H is taking major bumps. Wow, he’s really confident about Jeff Hardy, even though Hardy was essentially going to get fired at one point. Amazing, if you ask me, but who asked?
More incredible is the way this four way scenario between JBL, John Cena, and HHH is coming together.
If not a four way title chase, than at least a triple thread, with Hardy landing on Cena thanks to HHH, Cena costing HHH the victory, it will be no surprise to see WWE push Hardy into the title contention.
Will Hard and JBL enter the main event picture yet again?
I’m not sure.
The match was really solid though, HHH was bumping, Hardy was bumping like a madman as usual, and Cena’s involvement really sealed the deal for me.
Could this be the beginning of John Cena getting pushed as Heel? Or will Triple H turn Heel? I’m not sure, but if you ask me, at this point, with Hardy going over on Triple H this time, I believe that pushing Cena Heel will be the key to creating his character to another monster superstar.
Just like Stone Cold, The Rock and many others that are not active in the WWE any longer.
This week's Raw got me really pumped, and I'm really excited to consider what could happen next week on Raw. I hope it continues to be a good match up, and see things through the greater good, and not some cluster of a mess. Looks like there are some positive things brewing among the WWE writers and talent.
I know that most wwe fans won't be so willing to praise this, and some podcasts that I listen to are most likely going to trash this week's Raw, but this is a really good one, and I'm excited to see what WWE is going to do with the future.
Just remember, we are still fans, and no matter what opinions we have that are negative, we still love wrestling. When WWE does something good, I'll be first in line to mark out like a school boy. They did a good one last night.

Jimmy Wang Yang Steroids
The Cruiserweight division is being picked apart fast, and with todays announcement that Jimmy Wang Yang has been suspended for violating the wellness policy, we have one less cruiserweight in the WWE.
This sucks.
First Yang gets pummeled into submission on Smackdown and now this?
I'm not sure what everyone out there in the internet world thinks, but I know one thing: The WWE is losing talent left and right, and will continue to do so unless they start getting new talent and fast.
This is the problem with not having a lot of competition. Many wrestlers that would have made it into the WWE by now, are not making it because they are nobodies.
Now that WWE has gone public, more so than ever, they are all about sales. If a new wrestler can't sell, well...they aren't worth it.
That's beyond the point, Jimmy Wang Yang was floundering anyways, so it's not like he'll be terribly missed.
I'm not sure if he was on Steroids, Painkillers, Smoking Dope, or something else, but one thing is true...within 5 years there might not be any cruiserweights in the WWE.

The worst Brawl I've ever seen in my life. Chuck Palumbo should get fired, he's such a horrible wrestler, and the gimmick he has is just lame. NO one cares about his "slash" gimmick, especially me. Finlay though, he's over, way over.
The Great Khali def. Deuce & Domino
Once again, the WWE has buried the tag team division. If I have a gripe with WWE it is the sheer fact that they HATE the tag team division. Khali comes oin, beats the hell out of the two former tag champions, and BOOM it's over.
The announcers kept talking about how Undertaker is not around to defeat or stop Khali! What a load of crap!
If the WWE continues to kill the tag teams, federations like TNA could score a major victory.
Cousin Sal def. Santino Marella
This was a throwaway match.
What did Santino do to deserve getting dropped like this? He's jobbing to Cousin Sal? OH man is this stupid.
Natalya def. Michelle McCool, Cherry, Kelly Kelly, Victoria, Maryse and Layla (Golden Dreams Match)
I won't make a golden showers joke about this stupid match, but once again WWE proves that the DIVAS can't wrestle and aren't worth watching.
Vladimir Kozlov def. Jimmy Wang Yang
This match sucked so much, it made me want to stop watching wrestling altogether. Kozlov sucks, and Yang gets buried!
The cruiserweight division sucks, specifically because there is NO REASON WHY WWE SHOULD HAVE THESE CRUISERWEIGHTS!
Fire all of them and send them to TNA, where they might care about their division.
WcW's division flourished so much, and yet WWE has always found a way to screw it up.
Kozlov sucks.
I wanted to smash my television.
Batista, Colin Delaney, Funaki & Nunzio def. World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Chavo Guerrero, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder
The numbers were definitely stacked against Batista, and I didn't think he could pull it off. However, seeing Colin, FUnaki and Nunzio take on the main eventers made me kind of smile. Colin especially, that guy is an inspiration to jobbers...and Batista...wow...Batista really showed that he can work his ass off if need be.
Overall Smackdown was ok, there was some good action, but there were a lot of instances where I hated watching this show. I really dislike the burial of the Tag division, and I hate the divas golden dreams match up, as well as the Kozlov killing angle. He's not Goldberg....
OH and I very much was saddened as a fan to hear Foley say that Goldberg was a waste of money for WWE.
Lame.
Goldberg was misused on many occasions in the WWE.
To prove that the Cruiserweights can work, here's a classic cruiserweight match up from WCW!
The WWE is spoiling what could very well be another Attitude era in ratings, attention, and match ups, and it is just poor quality on their part.
Chris Jericho vs. Billy Kidman...wcw matchup!

D-Lo Brown Resigns With WWE
D-LO brown has signed a new WWE contract, which means we'll be seeing yet another face in the WWE ring. We haven't seen this guy in a long time, and one can only assume he has a little ring rust, but that all depends on what show he ends up on.
I personally think this comes on the heels of recent rumors that Vince McMahon wants to form an all African American Stable. D-Lo,Cryme Tyme,Shelton Benjamin, and Kqwik could form a huge stable and beat up everyone in their path.
Or this could just be another signee that will get on television, get buried after a few weeks and then leave.
Here's a match featuring Tommy Dreamer and D-Lo Brown...for no apparent reason:
Is this is a good move by the WWE?
Yes!
The WWE is in desperate need of new talent as more and more talent is either getting suspended, injured, or taking time off.
Now if only they can sign some Main Event stars...like Sid Vicious! Then we'll talk.

Raw 6/2/2008 In Photos Review
Raw came through town with a lot of promises, and they continued some feuds, while introducing some new ones along the way. I think Raw is getting a little better now that Orton is gone, but there was still some cheese...so instead of just rambling, here it is in photos.

One Night Stand 2008 Results
The night started with Jeff Hardy and Umaga fighting their way out to the outside of the building. The match was fast paced, and full of action, and high spots. However, the ending was so fake, it stunk of stupidity. In the end, Hardy climbed up a truck and dove off, and the announcers claimed it was to the concrete floor. However, in the shot of the win, you could clearly see a mattress in the background, that most likely was moved out of the way.
Hardy defeats Umaga in this opener.
The Singapore Cane match happened next, I think, and everyone ganged up on Big SHow. Things were looking good until Big SHow accidently messed up his eye, and got really mad. He came back and got every singapore cane found in the building, and started to break them on his opponents. Big Show decidely wins this one, and to make it an exclamation point, he smashed through Tommy "The JObber" Dreamer.
Big Show wins this one.
JBL and John Cena fought in what was a cop out of a match. The two were looking alright, but it was a real brawl, and then Cena out of nowhere, gets a chain and onto the STFU where JBL starts spitting up blood to lose the match.
John Cena beats JBL in this one.
Melina put on on heck of a fight against Beth Phoenix and I was a believer for once, but it was not to be had as Phoneix polished off Melina in the end with a painful submission that had her in a pretzel.
Beth Phoenix wins this one, but not without a big fight.
Batista and Shawn Michaels nearly killed each other. Batista put some finishing touches on hurting Shawn Michaels, and everytime he was going to put away HBK; Y2J came out to get in more punishment.
Batista edges out HBK in this match up.
Randy Orton was on his way to another victory, in my book, but stopped short when HHH threw him over the top rope and onto his shoulder. It was painfully obvious that Orton had broken his collar bone or at least his shoulder on a nasty fall outside of the ring. It was so bad that the ending was fudged and HHH hit Orton with the sledge hammer for the win. Afterwards, WWE officials helped get Orton to the back who was nearly in tears.
HHH defeats Randy Orton, thanks to an injury for Orton.
IN the main event Edge fell through a ladder, through two tables, and in the end...it was Undertaker who couldn't overcome the numbers game and fell 20 feet through 4 tables to end his chase for the world title by losing to Edge and 4 other men. I've never seen The Undertaker take a bump like this, 20 feet off of a ladder through 3 1/2 tables to lose the match
Edge defeats the Undertaker, in a hell of a match up.
What an event! I loved this one better than Wrestlemania!
