WWE Monday Night Raw 5/28/10 Review
Teddy Long came out to the ring and started to dance. He came out to ringside and started to talk about the upcoming fatal four way ppv.
Drew McIntyre came out and pulled out yet another letter, and this sucked. The letter stated that Matt Hardy is suspended for interfering in Drew’s match.
Christian & Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler
The team of Dolph Ziggler and Chavo were getting completely out wrestled by Hornswoggle and Christian, well, mainly Christian. The little guy was getting thrown around like crazy. Christian hit a Killswitch and this thing was over fast. Christian worked his butt off in this match, despite the lackluster pairing.
Post match Dolph Ziggler was like a man possess, attacking Christian with a stick Sleeper Hold and putting Captain Charisma to sleep.
Luke Gallows defeated MVP
MVP put on his usual antics, but it was Luke Gallows and help from a hooded member of the Straightedge Society that won the match. Not exactly a technical classic, but what are ya gonna do?
The Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre & Jack Swagger
This match was actually entertaining. McIntyre and Swagger worked quite well together and were pushing the limits of Kofi. Big Show finally got a hot tag and cleared the ring, prompting the crowd to go nuts. Show was dominant, and he was plowing through the two youngsters. Drew McIntyre receives a huge right hand and it was over, Big Show pinned Drew and stared down Jack Swagger.
CM Punk, despite having his head shaved, showed up with none other than…a mask. Yes, a mask. He had a full mask that covered his head and eyes. It was scary to say the least.
CM Punk defeated Kane
CM Punk managed to survive a great deal of punishment from Kane, and without much interference, well…he still had some, he managed to pin the big red machine. Kane has been relegated to jobber status if you ask me. It’s funny to see him losing, especially since in past times, he was so good. Oh well, I guess that’s what happens when you get older in wrestling, you start to lose. Hopefully Kane can bounce back and he’ll get one more championship run? Maybe not.
The Undertaker defeated Rey Mysterio
This match was actually one of the highlights of smackdown. I was surprised that the two actually put on such an entertaining match. Rey took shot after shot at Undertaker and it was frustrating the big man for sure. After some blows, the dead man nearly killed Rey with counters, but Mysterio kept moving forward with his offensive fury. It was interesting to see how fast Undertaker was adapting to the offense of Rey Mysterio. I’m not sure who the fans wanted to cheer, as it was definitely split. The Undertaker managed to lose this one, but not without a valiant effort and the dead man busted open the hard way. Mysterio was dropped on his head and this thing was over, sadly. It was a three out of 5 star or at least 4 out of 5 star match up. I enjoyed it greatly.
