WWE Monday Night Raw November 21, 2016 Review
Goldberg declared for the Royal Rumble Match
Really? Who cares. Ok, maybe the WWE cares since Goldberg completely buried Brock Lesnar. How would I book it? I would have Goldberg come out as #1 and plow through the first 5 or so candidates until Brock shows up, and the two start throwing people out and over the top. I would eventually have Lesnar sucker punch Goldberg and toss him out. Then Lesnar gets tossed out too. I would also have Dean Ambrose with an ultimatum that if he doesn’t win the Royal Rumble, he will not get another WWE title shot against Aj Styles, since he will not win at TLC. Ambrose loses, Lesnar is out, Goldberg is also out, and that leaves Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, and The Undertaker left in the match. I’m going with Taker getting a win here, but hey, you may see something new out of the match, so we’ll have to wait for Texas, won’t we? I wish I was going.
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Cesaro & Sheamus
Now this was an all start classic for me. Cesaro and Sheamus should’ve won this match. The two work so well together and they put on a serious show. Cesaro’s strength alone is worth checking out here, as he was on fire. Why he is not a Title contender and why he is not a champion is beyond me. Speaking of Champions, has anyone seen the U.S. Title? Yeah, me neither. Go back and watch this one for Cesaro’s incredible timing. Oh and The New Day wins by cheating. Whatever.

Cedric Alexander def. Ariya Daivari
No one cares about the cruiserweights. From what I read online, the WWE won’t let them have the same type of matches that they had during the Cruiserweight Classic. It shows. This match was ok, nothing more. I miss the WCW division of this, heck, even the ECW option was better.

Rusev def. Enzo Amore
Enzo got killed. Enzo was walking around the back naked, as Cass had locked him out of their locker room as a prank. That set up this match as Enzo was naked in front of Lana, and well Rusev got mad.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Golden Truth to become No. 1 contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championship
How in the world did The Golden Truth get into a No. 1 contenders match? How? Whatever, The Club Sandwich boys win this match and everyone goes home happy, who cares. I don’t.

Braun Strowman def. Sami Zayn via Match stoppage
THE BS moment of the night. Sami Zayn is told that if his punishment for losing at Survivor Series was to face off against Brown Shoeman. Well, Shoeman beat him to death, and that was that. Foley stopped the match. Zayn is lost here. It’s time for him to leave the Raw brand and perhaps even the WWE, they aren’t doing anything with him.

Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax
Another boring match in which we are supposed to believe that Nia Jax is a monster that can be beaten one minute, than can’t be beaten the next. Oh well, this match was ok. However, why is Sasha Banks teaming with Bayley and why are they friends? How can she be the boss if she’s friendly with everyone? I don’t know. Not a bad match, but short and sweet, moving towards diva territory if you ask me.

Rich Swann def. TJ Perkins and Noam Dar to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Again, no one on Raw cares about the cruiserweights. Swann is talented, and it was nice to see him pick up the win. However, this needs to move towards Smackdown, it just has to, otherwise we are in for a long winter.

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins in a No Disqualification Match
Raw usually doesn’t get good main events, in my opinion. However, this was one hell of a main event. It not only featured everything that you’d want out of a title match, it features some shenanigans as well. Jericho and Owens were teasing splitting up earlier, but they ended up solid with Jericho coming through the crowd in a Sin Cara mask to beat up Rollins. He was supposed to barred from ringside. Rollins loses again, and Owens pulls off another victory. Fat Ass Kevin Owens put on a show, and took a beating, this was great, a 4 star match on Raw.
Match Rating: 4 out of 5
Great overall showcase for the Raw brand. I liked the booking, it had some good overall matches, and some great moments overall. Even though it seemed a bit long, that ending match made it all worth it, as the Canadian fans got a 4 star classic for the Universal Super Belt. We’ll see where this all goes, but it was a good night of wrestling for me and for those that watched it, I’m sure.
