WWE 205 Live August 14, 2018 Results and Review

The WWE starts 205 Live, often, with wrestling and this was no doubt a good example.

Lio Rush defeated Akira Tozawa

This was a fast paced match, with few stops, and the two were fighting back and forth in every way. From the top rope, to the bottom rope, to flying around, to submission moves, the two put each other through some great back and forth. However, it was the end of Tozawa when Rush was able to hit the incredible frog splash. He gets an incredible amount of height on that thing, and Tozawa legit had the wind knocked out of him. Rush is the real deal.

Hideo Itami defeated A Jobber

This was a job match, and Itami won, and he kept saying that people should respect him.

Cedric Alexander defeated Jack Gallagher

This was a worthy main event for any show. Gallagher put in a lot of work here, and was able to take Alexander to a limit for sure. However, it was Alexander’s constant fight that turned upside down, and caused serious problems for Gallagher in the end. Jack went into a standing Spanish fly and boom, Gallagher went out cold.

Of course, Gulak and Kendrick would run down and cause a disruption, and that was the end of the show. A good overall night of wrestling, that’s for sure.

WWE 205 Live March 7, 2017 Results and Review The Dead Crowd

Austin Aries Shows Up - Img SRC WWE of course
This week I wanted to be a skateboarder again. I used to skate daily, and was trying to work my way up the ranks. Now? I’m a broken old man. My knees hurt and my back hurts. That has nothing to do with WWE 205 Live, but I wanted to say that today.

March 7 had another edition of 205 live and I had to watch it twice. The first time, I fell asleep, the second time, I fell asleep at the main event. I went back and watched the ending again, and now we’re here. Here’s my thoughts on this night of wrestling.

WWE 205 Live March 7, 2017 Results

Rich Swann and Gentleman Jack Gallagher defeated Noam Dar and Ariya Daivari
Akira Tozawa defeated Bryan Kendrick
Austin Aries defeated Tony Nese

WWE 205 Live March 7, 2017 Review

If you’re a purist wrestling fan, then you need to watch WWE 205 Live. This night had only 3 matches and they were fast paced, and somewhat entertaining. Of the 3 matches, I liked the tag match that opened the show a bit more than the rest. This is not quite an hour of programming, mind you.

Rich Swann and Gentleman Jack Gallagher defeated Noam Dar and Ariya Daivari

Swann and Jack are great together, playing that outsider gimmick versus the cool guy. Dar and Daivari weren’t going down without a fight, but in the end, Swann picked up the pin on Dar with an insane move. I forget the name, but wow, dude went nearly to the rafters to hit it. Phoenix splash? You have to see it.

There's a story going through with Noam Dar and Alicia FOOOUUUXXXX getting gifts from a mysterious person. Is it Swann? I dunno, but I'm eating popcorn trying to figure it out.

Akira Tozawa defeated Bryan Kendrick

I’m not a fan of Tozawa. This was supposed to be a match with The Brian Kendrick, but instead, it was with a jobber named Bryan Kendrick. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I don’t like Tozawa, and The Brian Kendrick could very well put through another classic, if he ever does in fact face the Japanese star.

Austin Aries defeated Tony Nese

I’m not sold on Austin Aries. What makes him so good? He is another bravado pushing small guy. So what? This match didn’t impress me at all, it was an average match. Tony Nese is interesting, as he’s so well packed with muscle and yet he can throw down some great moves. Aries wins, and will challenge Neville eventually, I’m sure.

Overall, this wasn’t great. It was a fun 45 minutes or so, but with only 3 matches, and a lot of talking, it felt like WWE Raw LITE. Lots more talking than there should be, and lots of callbacks to Smackdown and Raw, including commercials. Why are there commercials for WWE within the network? Come on! Oh well.

WWE Monday Night Raw November 28, 2016 Results and Review Hot Potato Women’s Championship

Charlotte Before She Sobbed From The Pain, I'd Cry Too
Live from Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday Night Raw hit a high note at times, but not without some seriously bad things. There were a lot of things happening, and while I liked a good chunk, this show was not without a few notes of anger and stupidity. I mean, come on, Cesaro and Shamus are the new APA? Yeah right. Whatever. Here are my thoughts on last night’s Raw.

WWE Monday Night Raw November 28, 2016 Results

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns crashed “The Highlight Reel” with Kevin Owens
Braun Strowman def. R-Truth
Tony Nese def. Cedric Alexander
Seth Rollins attacked Chris Jericho in the parking lot
Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks ended in a Double Count-out
Enzo Amore def. Rusev via Disqualification
Rich Swann def. Noam Dar
U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship
Paul Heyman declared Brock Lesnar for the Royal Rumble Match
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
Sasha Banks def. Charlotte Flair to become the new Raw Women’s Champion

WWE Monday Night Raw November 28, 2016 Review

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns crashed “The Highlight Reel” with Kevin Owens

The Highlight Reel was dumb. They opened up with another point of a break up between Owens and Jericho. Reigns and Owens got mad at each other, Jericho got mad at each other, and this will no doubt set up Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens.

Braun Strowman def. R-Truth

Stupid match. I don’t care about Brown Shoeman. Whatever. Sami Zayn showed up and got a beat down, Foley came out, blah, blah, blah. It was dumb. R-Truth got buried, then Goldust got buried.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Tony Nese def. Cedric Alexander

The best part of this element was Nese getting a win over Alexander. But let’s consider that the WWE does this often. They make challengers and champions look weak before a title match. That’s what happened here. Alexander loses, Nese wins with interference, and the best part of this was Kendrick on the color commentary.

Seth Rollins attacked Chris Jericho in the parking lot

Yep. Rollins beat up Jericho. I didn’t care, you didn’t care, Rollins sucks.

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks ended in a Double Count-out

This was smart. I liked how this started, and ended. I think that this should’ve led to a PPV match rather than Foley setting up another match later on. This would not end well for Charlotte, so SPOILER alert.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Enzo Amore def. Rusev via Disqualification

Boredom movements happen a lot on Raw. This was boring. Good mic skills from Enzo and Cass, bad match rating, and a waste.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Rich Swann def. Noam Dar

It comes to my attention that I mixed up Swann and Alexander, and I’m an idiot because Kendrick was on here not the other. Oh well. This match was ok, and I’m an idiot. I apologize for my lack of enthusiasm for the cruiserweights.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship

Did the WWE telegraph this one or what? Did you really think that Owens was going to win? I didn’t. Reigns stayed strong, and that was that. He took a beating, and the commentary team basically jerked off until they blew their loads for the finish. Michael Cole especially was spent with his commentary at the end, yelling about how Roman Reigns has put in a great performance and win. Yeah, yeah, Reigns wins, Superman Reigns.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Paul Heyman declared Brock Lesnar for the Royal Rumble Match

So Brock Lesnar is in the Rumble and he’s going to cost Goldberg the match.

OR!!!!!

Picture this. Lesnar, Goldberg, Ambrose, Reigns, Jericho, and Rollins are left in the final stages of the Rumble. They all start battling it out, and things get hectic, with refs getting distracted with Goldberg and Lesnar. Lesnar and Goldberg fighting on the outside, and the last 4 left will be Ambrose, Reigns, Jericho, and Rollins, with the final winner being one of those guys. Let’s just say it’s Jericho. This can’t stand, so they put an Elimination Chamber crossover match in which we see a final winner for the title. The chamber will include Lesnar and Goldberg, and that will give Goldberg the title.

Would Probably Have A Better Chance Against The New Day

Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Club Sandwich, Club Sandwich! The Club Sandwich boys lose again. Who cares.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Sasha Banks def. Charlotte Flair to become the new Raw Women’s Champion

Here we go, the main event. The main event was a great showcase of these two women’s strengths. I loved the Hell in the Cell match. I also loved their other matches, but this one once again showed that these two are great together. However, I wish there were more women getting title shots and mixing it up. Flair took a beating, no doubt. She took on such a beating, and Banks went through with getting shots to the dome too. That giant forehead of hers got hit a lot, but so did Charlotte’s mole. The ending came with a Bank Statement through a guard rail, which was great. I wish the tap out didn’t come so quickly, but it did. Ric Flair came out and raised Sasha's hand. I loved this match, great showing.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions

This weekend the WWE will be in Canada, where I wanted to be, and will be putting on a showcase of the immortals, aka The Survivor Series. I miss the old Thanksgiving eve or even Thanksgiving day tradition. I loved the old showcase, and with this Raw vs Smackdown thing, I’m not as excited. However, I am going to cheer, eat pizza, and drink beer like I always do. And well, here we go, a great time to predict what is going to happen, and here we go.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions

Brock Lesnar defeats Bill Goldberg

I have no idea why the WWE would let Goldberg come back only to win and then go away. I’m going to say that he pulls off the big win here. Goldberg doesn’t get humbled like Randy Orton, but instead, he goes in and puts on about 5 minutes of offense, then starts to lose it. Look for Lesnar to take Goldberg to Suplex City, and win this match clean, and that’s that.

WWE Team Raw defeats Team Smackdown

Look, I like the teams fair enough, but they don’t make sense. If you go back to the original Survivor Series matches, they never put together teams that were at odds. It was bad guys versus the good guys, and you had dream matches in the middle. There are no dream matches here, these guys are just thrown together for a pride that makes no sense to me. I expect Ellsworth to get beat down, I expect Raw to get the win, and above all else, Roman Reigns is going to look strong no matter what.

WWE Tag Team Raw defeats Team Smackdown

Did we already forget that The Usos tried to break the legs of American Alpha? Did we already forget that 4 of the guys are part of the jobber squad? On Raw, you have far better participants, and of course with the New Day needing to look strong, watch out for them to win this one, and get the win.

Kalisto defeats The Brian Kendrick

Why would Kendrick need to give any sort of pep talk? Seriously. Nothing changes for the cruiserweights except that they get moved from one show to another show, and well better announcers. I’m going to say that Kalisto wins this one, and the whole roster moves to Smackdown and Kendrick wins the belt back in a triple threat match which involves Kalisto botching moves, Tj Perkins getting no reaction, and Kendrick getting that 37 year old swagger win.

The MIz defeats Sam Zayn

Sami Zayn needs a title, he’s floundering on Raw, Stephanie McMahon seems to hate him, and well he should go to Smackdown. Look for The Miz to beat Zayn, get fired from Raw, only to have a rematch on Smackdown to win the title. The Miz is going to get booed out of the building, since Zayn is from Canada. This will be a good match, but expect Zayn to go down in flames.

The Smackdown Women defeat The Raw Women

In another showcase, I am going to go with the Smackdown women getting the big win here. I am going to say that they are the underdog, but that’s not really true. I just think that they are going to want to make John Cena’s girlfriend look strong, and well, she’s going to win. I think this should be an interesting match, and well it’s going to be good.

That’s my take on this weekends showcase. I think that it will be a good show, although it won’t lead to much more in terms of story line, unless people purposely walk away and leave their team. I don’t get this pride thing, but hey that’s just me. If you got picks, drop me a line, otherwise, watch the show, drink some Steveweiser and enjoy!

Wild Card Predictions

Don’t be surprised if The Club Sandwich boys turn on the rest of their team.

Don’t be surprised if someone gets injured on the Smackdown team, requiring the Undertaker to take his place.
