WWE Monday Night Raw 3/30/09 Results and Review One More Raw

The raw before Wrestlemania should be good right? We’ll see. It opened up with a Hearse being parked in the backstage area, who knows what that’s all about.

Tiffany & The Good Divas defeated the bad divas

I didn’t get all the names in this match up. By the time it was over I didn’t even get all the names. This seemed like a 12 man tag or something, this was a terrible match. Tiffany won the pinfall, and that was it.

Post match Santino came down to the ring in a robe. He took off the robe and was in a Mankini! Hilarious, he started dancing and all the divas were laughing. This was a poor segment, funny, but poor.

Chris Jericho defeated Jerry Lawler

Chris Jericho and Lawler? This should have been the wrestlemania match, not the three on one. Of course, I dug a little deeper and found that Vince isn’t too high on Lawler being in Wrestlemania as a huge participant, but that of course is all rumor, and no real concrete evidence of anything. Jericho came in and controlled the beginning of this match, hitting Lawler hard with simple moves. Lawler mounted a small comeback in the middle of this match and it wasn’t half bad. Lawler has a few matches left in his tank, but not in the same capacity as Jericho, and this was proven when Jericho slapped on the Walls of Jericho for the win.

Rey Mysterio jr defeated JBL

I’m not sure why they had this match, it was Jbl and Rey Mysterio? They should’ve saved this match or the ppv or put these guys in a tag match, not given it away for free on Raw. This was a non title match, and I’m not sure what the WWE was thinking. They have so many people on the roster, and they could’ve filled it here, but instead we got this match early. Not much of a match at all, this one ended predictably and I guess that’s all that can be said about this match up.

The Big Show defeated John Cena

John Cena and Big Show? Really? This was done so many times before; not as many times as they did with Edge and Cena but come on! What a terrible way to wedge in more wrestling onto Raw. This match was standard big man style vs no style cena. Cena needs to turn heel, and he should’ve done it yesterday. Terrible match.

Kane won an 8 man battle royal

This match sucked. It was your basic battle royal with all the participants in the Money in the Bank match up. Overall a boring endeavor and a crappy lead into wrestlemania.
Randy Orton got his best desserts with The Mcmahon family bum rushing Orton and beating him up.

Yay…Raw sucked, it’s been a while since raw sucked this bad.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 3/27/09 Another Smackdown Glory

Kane, Kofi Kingston, Finlay, Shelton Benjamin defeated Christian, Mark Henry, MVP, CM Punk

This match seemed like the one that happened at Raw but it was a little mixed up. The match was ok, a little slower than Monday night but it had some good sports. The match ended with C.M Punk jumping off the top rope into the waiting arm of Kane for the chokeslam. Kane won via pinfall and that was that. Not a great match up, not a terrible match up.

Post match Christian took to the skies and jumped off the top rope.

The Big Show defeated Jesse & Festus

Way to go Wwe! You have buried yet another tag team. Jesse & Festus were defeated easily by The Big Show, and it was terrible. This match had no major redeeming value to it and I can’t believe I had to watch this one. Terrible match, terrible burial of another tag team that is not half bad.

Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Chavo Guerrero

Surprise surprise, Chavo loses this match yet again. Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero wrestle the same match they always seem to wrestle together and this time it was just as exciting. Rey Mysterio put Chavo through a set of moves that we’ve come to love at this point and when Chavo missed the frog splash, Rey Mysterio capitalized.

Post match JBL hit Rey Mysterio with a big boot out of nowhere!

Matt Hardy defeated R Truth

Way to go WWE, lets just bury all the talent on the way to Wrestlemania! This match was good for what it was, but overall it wasn’t anything to really write home about. The match had a few good points, but overall it was R Truth getting buried by Matt Hardy, to make him look strong going into Wrestlemania.

The Colons & Brie Bella defeated John Morrison & The Miz w/ the other bella twin

This was a fast paced tag team match that featured yet again The Colons winning. This didn’t have much time to develop, and ended up having some adverse effects as the Backstabber once again put down Miz and Morrison. Good stuff here, but too short to be great.

Maryse vs Michelle McCool No Contest

This match was getting good but then Gail Kim jumped in the middle of the ring and hit a missile dropkick! The debut of Gail Kim was short and sweet, she laid out both divas in the middle of the ring. Good stuff overall.

The final moments of the WWE Smackdown show was just HBK doing a mimic of The Undertaker, dressed in white and quoting Genesis 1

TNA Impact 3/26/09 Results and Review Crap Captains

The opening of the night was an in ring announcement by Jim Cornette, because they are going to have captains chosen for the big Lockdown ppv. This whole segment, was just a big melee. Angle and Jarrett are going to be in the lockdown tonight or something, and that’s all that happened.

Suicide defeated Kiyoshi

This match started out fast paced and carried through with a good interesting overall initial run. Suicide seemed to have Kiyoshi scouted, as he was able to turn moves into counters, but Kiyoshi kept bring out new stuff. It’s weird that the crowd was cheering Suicide, considering he is a relatively unknown wrestler. Kiyoshi was never meant to win this match, and it seemed painfully obvious towards the end of the match up. Suicide finished off Kiyoshi with the Suicide Solution and it was all over. Not the greatest match, but it was adequate enough.

There was a lot of backstage vignettes and random bs at this point. We’re talking about 40 minutes past the hour and we finally get another match up. This is a tough wrestling show to watch.

Velvet Sky & Angelina Love defeated Raisha Saeed & Awesome Kong

I’m not a big fan of the TNA commentating team. They never really focus on the match up at all. They seem to be talking about random crap, and storylines, rather than the match at hand. That’s not to say that this match was a technical classic, but it deserved more attention than the commentating team gave it. The reason why Awesome Kong and Saeed lost was because Awesome Kong didn’t really get into the match.

Post match, the beautiful people tried to cut Awesome Kong’s hair. It didn’t work, and that was that.

Samoa Joe pinned Kurt Angle to win a 20 man gauntlet cage match

The main event was a 20 man gauntlet match inside of a steel cage. This thing was lengthy and interesting to say the least. This is a weird match, and it reminds me of that bunkhouse stampede that NWA had in the mid 80’s. I’ll try to find that match for you guys to watch, but overall this match was like a royal rumble inside a steel cage. While it looks good on paper, it wasn’t really that entertaining to watch on television as it seemed that everyone was basically phoning it in, because of limited space. The final three guys were Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, and Jeff Jarrett. This is the most predicable thing that could happen! If the last two winners are team captains then when Scott Steiner was eliminated the match should’ve ended. Nope, it didn’t happen….Steiner never left the cage and fought Jeff Jarrett, causing Kurt Angle to roll him up for the pin! Kurt Angle pinned Jarrett and I thought it was over. However, out came Samoa Joe #20 and he dropped Angle on the back of his head, and boom, Samoa Joe is the winner and the second team captain!

I have to give TNA credit, they really gave the main event a lot of time to develop. The main event easily took up 75% of the last hour, and was interesting to watch at times. You knew that the x-division guys weren’t going to win, and you know a bunch of people weren’t going to win, but you stuck with it to see if Jarrett would pull this one off, and he almost did. Angle seems to have forgotten about Sting. Sting wasn’t even on this show wrestling…and why is Foley in the main event for a title shot? What a joke.

This edition of TNA may have been the best edition of Impact in a long time, but that is not saying much, is it? Yep.

ECW on Sci Fi 3/24/09 Results and Review

This was another quick ECW….so here is my 2 cents.

Carlito defeated John Morrison in a Lumber Jack Match

This match didn’t start off as a lumber jack match, it started as a regular match and then turned into one when Morrison tried to leave the ring. The match was restarted and it was all Carlito, putting away Morrison finally with the Backstabber for the clean victory. Carlito has really been impressive, he’s coasting in the ring right now, which is a far cry from his depressed performances that we had to watch a year or two ago.

The Fink was added to the WWE Hall of Fame.

Evan Bourne & Tommy Dreamer defeated Tyson Kidd & Jack Swagger

This was definitely something worth checking out. Tyson Kidd & Jack Swagger teamed up against Evan Bourne and Tommy Dreamer, and this is something that shoould’ve been reserved for ppv. Or at least ECW main event status; by the way, where is Ricky Ortiz right now? Tyson Kidd was the aggressor early on, and it was interesting to see how well he worked in ring against Bourne. It was short lived, because Tommy Dreamer came in and worked a stiffer style, and really put the boots to Tyson Kidd. Of course we had to get to commercial break, and upon return Jack Swagger was beating Tommy Dreamer decisively. It’s funny that Swagger hasn’t gotten a Wrestlemania match up to this point, even though he’s the champ. This match broke down when Evan Bourne jumped in and took things to the next level. He threw up his moves, and pinned Tyson Kidd clean! That’s the end of that, huh?

MVP’s Lounge

MVP showed up on ECW, one again proving that you don’t need to have brand divisions! I hate the draft because of this. MVP had all the superstars from Money in the Bank, and it was interesting to say the least.

This was a lame edition of ECW, and it didn’t have that much wrestling. I guess the WWE doesn’t want too many key people injured before the big event.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/23/09 Results and Review Orton Kills

We opened up the night with Ric Flair in the ring, and ready to speak. This cold opening of raw was interesting to note. Jericho came out from the back to talk a whole lot of crap. I do believe that Chris Jericho might be the best heel in the WWE right now. Forget Orton, he’s ok, but Jericho is turning a non feud into a nice change of pace and a classic respect feud. Ric Flair fired back nicely, which was good, but everyone in the building wanted Flair to come out of retirement to beat down Jericho. I didn’t mind this so much, but it seemed that they didn’t need this much time dedicated to fueling this feud, as it already was red hot. Jericho did manage to deck Flair with a right hand, getting even more heat from the crowd, creating a great amount of heat, as if he could get anymore. Flair was busted wide open, and Jericho continued to beat the hell out of him, which was adding even more heat.

Jeff Hardy defeated Dolph Ziggler

This was an extreme rules match and Dolph seemed to be trying to prove something with this match up. He took some major bumps at the hands of Hardy. Jeff was just a house of fire, going left to right destroying Dolph Ziggler like a jobber. How long before they fire Ziggler? Seriously, this is more than paying dues. Hardy did everything possible to defeat Ziggler. This match was awesome, but at what cost to Ziggler? At what cost? Man this was extreme.

CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, MVP, and Christian defeated Shelton Benjamin, Mark Henry, Finlay and Kane

This was a fast paced 8 man tag, nothing too crazy here. Christian got a pinfall for a change, but it was after the match that business picked up. Finlay introduced everyone to the ladder and laid everyone out with it, leaving himself standing in the middle of the ring, and maybe he’ll win Money in the Bank.

Big Show defeated Edge

Edge and the Big Show wrestled here, in a somewhat boring match up. I don’t know why they even have a brand separation, it seemed that they were working this thing out without any real brand split, and that’s how things should be all the time. This is a grand example of why they don’t need to have a draft at all, they just need to time things right and let things develop, just like the old days. Overall this match was boring, and you an tell Edge isn’t at 100% right now. Chavo interfered at one point, but was thrown out of the ring by Big Show. Big Show got distracted for a little bit, but got speared by Edge and Big Show knocked out Edge with a huge right handed closed fist. That was it, Big Show wins with ease, and maybe he might win at Wrestlemania.

Rey Mysterio defeated William Regal

Regal put the boots into Rey Mysterio. Seriously, he was working hard against Mysterio, which is a little weird to see. Mysterio was getting hit hard, and at one point looked like Regal stunned Mysterio and may have almost broken his nose, but may have been playing possum. Afterwards he hit the 619 and it was all over, Regal loses again. Regal is also gaining some weight, it seems weird; maybe he’s on his way out.

Mickie James defeated Santino

This was a weird match. It started with Santino having one armed tied behind his back and then it went on with both hands tied behind his back. Santino is the most entertaining non champion ever in the WWE. He even managed to get to the top rope, but this match ended with Mickie James beating him after kick to the head! This was a funny joke match up.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H no contest

This seemed like a bad idea. A handicap match between Randy Oton & Ted Dibiase against Triple H. This was just a bad idea, as it quickly turned into a three on one brawl. Triple H was fighting tooth and nail to get at Orton, but he was having problems, with a three on one assault! The priceless team ended up hand cuffing Triple H to a ring rope, and the real fun began for Priceless. Orton eventually pulled a sledgehammer out from under the ring, and was ready to use it on Triple H. The Game was fighting back still, even though he was handcuffed. Stephanie McMahon came down to save her husband, and Orton was ready. And you know what I was thinking?

WHAT HAPPENED TO PG RATING WWE? WHAT THE HELL?

I’m not a big Stephanie McMahon fan, I’m not, but Violence against women on a PG show? Nice one. At this point Randy Orton grabbed Stephanie McMahon through the middle ropes and dropped her on her head with a DDT! Mind you, HHH was still handcuffed to the ring ropes! This was definitely an interesting situation here. Randy Orton then proceeded to Kiss an unconscious Stephanie McMahon.

As much as I think this angle just got better, I’m tired of hearing about how the WWE wants to have a PG rated show. Whatever, lets throw that moniker out the window and lets get back to a more “attitude” era of wrestling, because it worked in the past and it works now.

Orton then took the Sledgehammer and smashed it into Triple H’s head. It was weird because there was a lot of RKO chants that the WWE couldn’t hide, and it’s interesting how the good guy isn’t getting cheered.

That is exactly the problem that Bret Hart had with the WWF back in the attitude era. Hart was getting pummeled by Austin and people were going nuts. Orton pummels Triple H and the crowd cheers more for him. Good times, I think, good times. Orton is a great heel, Triple H can’t hold down the roster if he’s tied to a ring rope huh? Yeah!
That was your raw, good stuff, fast paced, no brand separation, the WWE finally gets it right.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 3/20/09 Review and Results 500th Episode

Triple H showed up on Smackdown and said that Triple H and Stephanie are married in real life. He then rants on Randy Orton, blah blah blah.

Triple H defeated Kozlov

They must be trying to make Kozlov look more human or something because Triple H started this match like the key to defeating Kozlov was easy. Triple H quickly took control and was in good strides as we left for commercial break. After the break Triple H had things going in his direction, at least for a short moment, as Kozlov started to dominate with his heavy handed style. This match was looking like another easy Kozlov win, but Triple H turned things around yet again and he hit the Pedigree for the three count and the win.

MVP defeated Shelton Benjamin for the U.S Championship

This match wasn’t given a lot of time to develop, yet it was adequate for what little time it was indeed given. MVP hit his finisher in this average match for the title. Shelton is a good wrestler, but he just couldn’t manage a four star match up in this one. MVP did ok, but overall this match wasn’t all that great.

Shawn Michaels defeated Kane

When’s the last time the WWE called Kane the Undertaker’s brother? It’s been a while since they’ve acknowledged their own story lines in this manner. However, this time around Shawn Michaels was wrestling the Undertaker’s brother, not just Kane not just the Big Red Machine, they kept swinging it over to the fact that HBK has to wrestle the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. That notion annoyed me, especially since I knew what was going to happen in this match. Kane was dominating this match up early on, focusing on heavy hits to bring the showstopper down to his knees and not get back up for the super kick. I didn’t really get into this match because lately HBK has not been performing like he used to. He’s just a clone of Hulk Hogan, getting beat for a good amount of the match up, only to come back with a miraculous win with his finishing move. This was no different, it looked like Kane was going to hit the big chokeslam, but as Kane was chasing down HBK, the super kick made things equal, and HBK dropped the big man for the three count.

Jeff Hardy defeated The Brian Kendrick

This match took a turn for the extreme at times, but it wasn’t very extreme at all. Once again, the WWE has buried The Kendrick yet again. He used to be an up and coming star on Smackdown and now he’s just jobbing to Jeff Hardy. This was an interesting match up, but overall it was just too fast. I liked it, which was weird since nothing developed and Hardy just killed Kendrick.

The Undertaker defeated JBL

The WWE buries their recently crowned Intercontinental Champion by getting beat by the dead man. The match was interesting, nothing that is going to be remember for a long time, but the two wrestlers put on a show for the live crowd. It had a few moments where you thought that they weren’t calling it in, but they were doing just that. The Undertaker hit his spots, JBL hit his finisher, but it wasn’t enough to end it. The Undertaker won this match with his triangle choke and it was all over. It was an ok match, but it wasn’t that memorable, it was just boring to me.

The final part of th is match was lame. Big Show called out Edge, Vickie said she was in love with both guys.John Cena came out and yelled at Big Show and Edge. Seriously, this ending sucked. Great 500th episode! Stupid. Another stupid Smackdown ending

TNA Impact 3/19/09 Results and Review Sting What Side Is He On

Here we go, a few days after the big ppv this last weekend, and hopefully it doesn’t completely suck.

The Main Event Mafia started the show. Most notable was Scott Steiner, his face fully covered, was in the background. Kurt Angle started calling out Sting yet again. After a few comments, Kurt Angle called out Jeff Jarrett, who promptly came down and said Angle doesn’t deserve crap! Foley showed up and started to talk crap…they were losing me. Jeff Jarret and Mick Foley will wrestle Sting & Kurt Angle later tonight!

No Limit w/ Kiyoshi defeated The Motor City Machine Guns

This was a good overall International tag team match up. This was fast moving action with little to no psychology. I didn’t mind, considering the language barrier and the sheer amount of great wrestling moves I’ve seen in a long time. The Bridge suplex mid match was picture perfect! The Japanese team of No Limit won this fast match up and it wasn’t half bad. After the match Beer Money ran down and knocked everyone out.

Beer Money called out Team 3-D they are going to wrestle in a cage at the next ppv.

ODB & Taylor Wilde defeated Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed

This match didn’t have enough time to develop. It ended up being kind of boring. The match was rushed and while it had a few spots, it really was rushed, and well, the good guys win again. Or should I say, the good girls? Women? Whatever.

Samoa Joe vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir no contest

This match never happened. Samoa Joe pounced, beat up the ref then took Bashir to the back beating him along the way. We then got thrown into another commercial. Seriously, this wasn’t even worth it.

Aj Styles gets a trophy and some money for winning the Veteran’s championship. Boring.

The Governor defeated Madison Rayne

I’m so sick of this stupid gimmick. I don’t know why they keep pushing this “Palin” gimmick, but it is stupid to me. What makes this worse for me is the fact that The Governor can’t really wrestle all that well. She’s got a few moves, but overall, the beautiful people’s constant interference messed with the timing and dare I say, made it better? Yeah. The Governor pulled out a victory after a quick roll up, creating another boring match up. After the match up, they cut The Governor’s hair. This match felt really rushed, and it seemed like the post match had more in ring psychology than the actual match up! Sad state of affairs for the TNA Knockouts.
Samoa Joe was torturing Sheik Abdul Bashir, hanging him upside down and beating him with a kendo stick. This cleared the FCC? Wow, this is dumb. Samoa Joe used to put on four star matches, now he’s just stupid and psychotic. This is unnecessary, yet they keep pushing it in our faces. Lame.

Jeff Jarrett & Mick Foley defeated Kurt Angle & Sting

This match started with Angle and Jarrett exchanging classic wrestling holds, and Double J proving that he still has it in him to lift himself for a perfect drop kick. Foley was tagged in and you know what? The dude can chain wrestle, not the best chain wrestling I’ve ever seen, it was just good for Foley. Of course, Foley isn’t in the best shape of his career and it showed in this match up. Of course, the ref was knocked out, and so was everyone in the ring except for Jarrett and Angle. Sting got hold of Jarrett’s Guitar, Foley got a Chair and leveled Sting! The ref got down and counted the three, and things just kind of ended with that.

Overall, this edition of TNA Impact wasn’t all that good. TNA needs to strengthen their roster with better matches, less backstage shenanigans and just straight forward wrestling. That’s their strong suit, and yet they don’t use it. Too bad.

ECW on Sci Fi 3/17/09 Results and Review

ECW is usually the best show that WWE puts out, they make it concise, to the point and have a lot of wrestling in a short amount of time.

Shelton Benjamin & Mark Henry defeated Christian & MVP

Why even have the U.S Championship still in possession of Benjamin? No one cares about that title, at all. Seriously, no one seems to care about that, and only now does anyone care about the intercontinental champion, due to JBL winning it from Punk. Christian was the most impressive in this math, as he really made MVP step a little during the match up too! He even hit Tony Atlas really hard off the apron, but it was Shelton Benjamin with the Pay Dirt getting the pinfall on Christian! Looks like Christian’s comeback is officially over, huh?

Evan Bourne defeated Jamie Noble

If I were booker, I’d have Noble defeat Evan Bourne, spinning him into a losing streak, then defeating Tyson Kidd later down the road. However, I’m not booker. Evan Bourne isn’t missing a step, and the best part about this match is actually Jamie Noble’s pitbull like attack on grounding the high flyer. Evan Bourne won with a perfect shooting star press, and it might be arguable that it was better than when Billy Kidman used to do it in WCW.

Finlay defeated Paul Burchill

Finlay and Burchill put on a good heavy handed match up. Finlay was hitting hard in this match and was in full control for the most part. Finlay hit his finisher and Burchill was out cold! Finlay wins again, creating another good overall match for ECW. The Celtic Cross was hit and it was all over.

The show ended with the dirt sheet, which was kind of dumb. It must be nice to be a hot girl, because you can get a job in wwe and stand there looking dumb. The dirt sheet was funny, that’ for sure. But I was too tired to care. The best thing about the ending of this show was the announcement that there will be a unified tag team championship. That of course at Wrestlemania.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/16/09 Results and Review San Antonia Texas Edition

The WWE teased that Undertaker was going to confront Shawn Michaels at the opening of this show, but instead Lillian Garcia interrupted to let us know that these two would be tag team partners for the upcoming match up.

The Undertaker & Shawn Michaels defeated Kozlov & JBL

HBK had this match in firm grasp over JBL but as soon as Kozlov got tagged in, things turned completely around. HBK was definitely not enjoying any ort of domination in this match up. With that in mind, this tag match was setting up Undertaker for the hot tag, but I didn’t seem to mind it too much. I did think that The Undertaker should not have been so anxious or zealous in regards to trying to tag into the match up. He should’ve been stiff and refused a tag, leaving HBK out to there to lose this one, playing mind games. However, Undertaker got the hot tag, went through half of his move set in a matter of minutes against JBL and looked really strong overall. HBK blind tagged Undertaker, jumped in and scored the pinfall victory in this match up. This made The Undertaker mad, and confused me. The point of them being a tag team is so that they win! Who cares how! Whatever….The Undertaker used to not care, now he’s nothing but a wuss.

The best part of this segment was The Undertaker standing at the top of the ramp, giving his one arm salute, only to get kicked in the face by a Superkick from Shawn Michaels! That was classic, leaving Undertaker on the floor, dead….or undead? Haha.

Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, and Melina defeated Beth Phoenix, Jillian, Layla

This match was starting to get interesting towards the end, especially with Santino getting involved. However, the WWE once again pulls the rug from under us before this thing could really develop with Melina getting a roll up for no apparent reason other than they are short on time. This match was terrible, and once again proves that the WWE doesn’t really book women’s matches all that well. Then again, they need to get as many women in the night as possible, so maybe that’s the reasoning behind this.

Triple H defeated Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes got a stern lesson about who holds down the roster. Ok, maybe not, but Triple H basically squashed Cody Rhodes in a matter of minutes, and thwarted attacks by Orton and Ted Dibiase. However, Triple had a Steel Cage lower to the ring, and this of course is definitely going to have something to do with Wrestlemania!

The match didn’t start until the Steel Cage lowered. Cody was paying his dues in this match. Triple H used Cody to knock off Orton and Dibiase off the cage walls as they tried to climb up. Cody was getting killed, seriously, if you missed this part of Raw, you really missed it, because Cody was paying some major, heavy dues in this match up. This match was kind of cool, but it wasn’t an instant classic. Cody Rhodes got worked over in this match up, and was left laying in the ring, out cold. I haven’t seen a second generation star pay so many dues. At least not in one night; Cody Rhodes got obliterated by Triple H, and this can’t be a good sign.

Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler

Wow, Ziggler on Raw? I thought he would have gone the way of Kizarni! Remember that dude? One or two appearances on Smackdown and then officially gone. Ziggler is going to have to prove something to the boys in the back, and stay off the drugs, and maybe win a match. Rey Mysterio won this match easily, not missing one move, making quick work of Ziggler, proving yet again that WWE doesn’t like creating new stars. Well, at least not letting them go over.

Chris Jericho called out Ric Flair, and started whining and what not. Ric Flair came out and wouldn’t fight him. So he called Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and Ricky Steamboat to come and fight Jericho! They charged down to ringside, but after stopping Jericho, he weaseled his way out of the ring and ran away like a chump.

The WWE showed a recap of Wrestlemania XV, which is by far the worst wrestlemania in my opinion. I remember my friends and I were all sorely disappointed with the results.

MVP, CM Punk, and Kofi Kingston defeated Kane, Mark Henry, and Shelton Benjamin

If anyone knows how to do a huge tag match of epic proportions in a short amount of time it’s the WWE. This match had spots from all competitors, however, it never really tried to be too much of a spot fest. I really enjoyed that part of this match up, as it had a little time to develop, and enough follow through to make it a worthwhile match up. Good stuff, I enjoyed it, and of course the good guys won after CM Punk hit the GTS!

John Cena vs. Edge w/ Vickie Guerrero as special guest referee (no contest)

John Cena and Edge wrestled an ok match up, this thing was getting interesting but Vickie kept trying to sabotage Cena’s pinfall attempts. After a few exchanges of this type, Big Show came down and helped Edge lock John Cena in the ropes! After this was over Edge knocked out Big Show and was the last man standing. However, no real winner was declared….unless you count Edge, I guess he wins…somehow.

TNA Destination X 2009 Results and Review Sting Retains

What’s this? A ppv review from your pal sir j? Yeah, once again I’ve managed to scrape up a few dimes together to watch this piece of crap we call tna ppv. I am barely scraping by, so I had to save a few bucks to get this, so I hope that you, the reader, can appreciate my tone and my review here, as I’m doing it for the love of the game, not for money. I wish I had more of both, that’s for sure.

The show opened up in black and white with clips from the public domain of recession. It also showed some previous things that went down on TNA Impact the last few weeks. Overall not a great intro, and I could do without hearing Hoobastank every five seconds. Seriously, why did Hoobastank get picked? They suck, this intro sucks, and boy am not looking forward to more tna ppv’s…unless they change their booking completely.

Taylor Wilde, Roxxi, and The Governor defeated The Beautiful People & Madison Rayne

The Governor started this match, even though no one cares about Sarah Palin any longer. Oh well, here we go, the start of this match up, nothing too insane here, just your average start. The Governor is out there barefoot, and it’s interesting to see, I don’t think there are a lot of wrestlers out there without their boots. The match then moved forward from that point with the good guys (I should say gals) in full control. I also must note that Don West is out there with Mike Tenay, though he still sucks if you ask me; and I know you didn’t. The match was fast paced, a lot of distracting the ref here and there, which is interesting for sure. The match went into a melee, and things got crazy outside, leaving Taylor Wilde inside to get the pinfall after a bridge suplex. This match was ok at best, it seemed rushed at the end, and before things could settle, we went to the backstage area. TNA did a terrible job with the knockout match up, it was lame; oh well.

*note The Brutus Magnus graphic was premature, so if you were quick, you caught it.

**note again, out came a Navy Officer to be the guest ring announcer.

Brutus Magnus defeated Eric Young

Eric Young will face off against Brutus, and why not? The kid is on a minor roll, with that big win on Thursday against some fat dude that the Main Event Mafia found. Brutus Magnus didn’t catch Eric Young off of a moonsault from the corner, and the crowd made the two wrestlers eat it, and it showed that Magnus is not quite ready for the ppv world. He’s not that good, face it, I’m not sure why they are trying to make this star, as I don’t really like him, and while there are some moments of glory, he’s just not there yet, at least in my opinion. Magnus was not half bad with that top rope finisher, which was insane, if you saw it. It was a fireman’s carry to jump off the top rope, almost like death valley driver in a way. Good overall ending, but a terrible match up if you ask me. Once again it seemed rushed.

Sheik Abdul Bashir came out and just randomly yelled about how TNA is racist for not hiring him to wrestle. Jim Cornette came out to yell at Bashir to tell him that no one likes him, and that’s why he’s not on the ppv. He then had that Naval Officer come into the ring (Cornette called him up). The naval dude starts to sing “God Bless America”. Bashir has no choice but to leave, seemingly disgusted. This is a dumb angle, and I’m not sure why the TNA writers keep trying to push this, they don’t need it.

Matt Morgan defeated Abyss in a 10,000 Tacks Match

This match started out fast, with both men throwing haymakers, and pushing forth a great amount of effort. Of course, this thing had to slow down, because it wasn’t going to be a progressive match with the amount of brutality that these two started out with. Matt Morgan and Abyss fought to the ramp entrance, with Morgan hitting the Carbon Footprint right into the tacks. It was a wicked fall, and that was the end of the match up.

ODB had some stupid getting a date contest, it was dumb. Some dude named Deter or something, it was stupid, this is the dumbest thing I’ve seen on tna in a long time.

Awesome Kong defeated Sojourner Bolt in a TNA Knockouts Title Match

This match had a good opening, with Bolt sending every offensive move she had early on, but it was Kong who pushed her weight around and began to dominate with heavy moves that gave her a lot of breathing room and like a bigger wrestler, she just methodically worked over Bolt, causing a lot of strain. Things took a slight turn when Kong missed a huge splash off the top rope, causing Bolt to get a second chance in this match up. She went for quick pins, and tight rolls ups, but couldn’t score the three count. Bolt got caught trying a Hurricanrana which proved to be the end of her match up with Awesome Kong dropping her on the back of her neck and winning the match; another successful defense.

Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner ended in a no contest

Samoa Joe came in and just started a fist fight with Scott Steiner. Nothing else, just a straight fist fight, as he ran in and started off fighting, busting open Scott Steiner immediately. This match was the same match we saw with Edge and Matt Hardy when Hardy came back from being fired. Steiner got busted open, Joe beat up the ref, the match was thrown out, I guess Scott Steiner kind of wins via dq, right? I don’t know.

Aj Styles defeated Booker T in a Legends Championship Match

This match started off a little slower than the previous matches, and rightfully so. Booker To isolated Aj’s Arm for a good part of this match up, creating a little space between him and the high flyer. Aj did mnage to get a few high spots in, but Booker was definitely putting the rest holds on this thing and offering a more technically sound match up. The two guys looked evenly matched at the midway of this match, but Booker seemed to be one step ahead of Aj Styles, seriously pushing the limits of the former heavyweight champion. Aj Styles was wobbly at this point, creating doubt in many people’s minds as to whether or not he can really beat the big man. Booker and Aj had perfect timing with some high spot reversals, at one point Booker caught Aj coming off the top rope, and it was just perfect timing. The Styles Clash got the better of Booker T and things finally got good for Aj Styles as he is the new Legends Champion!

Backstage, apparently Samoa Joe murdered Scott Steiner? He had that stupid looking knife of his full of blood. Nice huh? Great job TNA writers, allude to the fact that Joe stabbed Steiner, great writing, great stupid writing! I hate Tna sometimes.

Team 3-D defeated Beer Money via count out in a TNA Tag Team Championship match

Team 3-D was the odds on favorite here, as there was no way that TNA would fire one of their veteran tag teams, leaving them without 2 solid workers. It’s not like the WWE would want another run of Team 3-d, considering that both guys are not as slim and beefed up as they were in WWE. Beer Money were not doing well early on in this match, Devon had things going quite well in the onset of this match up. Team 3-D had a lo of good moments in this match up, and Beer Money were definitely getting out wrestled on more than one occasion in this match up. The comedy spots were a bit too much, which was really weird. The match was thrown out, when Beer Money brought a chair in and Team 3-D wins, via disqualification…

Then the match got restarted and Beer Money walked away with a ten count. This match sucked, well the ending sucked. Don West helped a little, and even after Jim Cornette tried to chase down Beer Money, Team 3-D came to Don West and told him to watch his back! Team 3-D got screwed, and this was boring at the end.

Suicide defeated Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal, and The Motor City Machine Guns in a destination x match for the x division championship

This match opened up like it should have, straight forward, fast paced action. The Motor City Machine Guns had the advantage going into this match up, especially since their always in the ring together as a team. It seemed like they were set to win this, considering this match started at 7 pm pst. Obviously there were some high spots, the spots ranged from going outside of the ring to simple top rope action. Suicide was not doing all that well, at least not early on, it seemed that anything he wanted to do was thwarted by someone in the ring. The match up quickly spilled to the outside and Suicide managed a rolling thunder move onto four of his competitors, making for a good overall replay high spot. By the time it was time to do the super electric chair/powerbomb spot, I got tired of this match. Seriously, these matches are just spot fests and there’s very little psychology to them. I know we’re dealing with a match that was supposed to magnify the x-division, but this is getting ridiculous. I guess I’m starting to dislike spot fests, it just seems so obvious to me, a little too obvious. After all the whining I did about this match, it did have a cool ending. Suicide jumped off the top of a pillar onto the middle of the destination x set up, and knocked all competitors off, to win the x-division championship!

Sting defeated Kurt Angle in a World Heavyweight Championship Match

Finally, the main event, and this one started with neither man truly getting the edge. Kurt Angle and Sting started with heavy blows, meanwhile Sting kept knocking Kurt Angle out of the ring at every chance he could. The fight then spilled out to the floor and we finally had a good match going. After a short fight on the floor, we got the rest holds, with Angle trying to hold down Sting in order to wear him out. I really liked the midway point of this match when both men went for the double cross body block. That was definitely something you’d see in the mid 90’s era main event. I can’t appreciate the constant rest holds by Angle. I know that it worked for a lot of technical wrestlers, but those were in combination with their finishing moves. It seems like Angle just wants to slow things down so he can get the Angle Slam. Which he got onto Sting for a two count! Sting missed a Stinger splash, which got him an Angle Slam for his trouble. Kurt’s Moonsault is dead on accurate still, but he couldn’t put Sting away with that either. The Rolling German Suplex’s have to be hurting Angle’s neck, and they were promptly turned into a Scorpion Death Drop, prompting another two count. Double J, for all the feuding he has done, actually didn’t get involved too much, until he got hit with a HUGE lariat from Angle on accident. This prompted Mick Foley to jump in the ring, meanwhile Sting had the Scorpion Death Lock on a tapping Angle. Angle managed to get back into it, meanwhile Jeff Jarrett was still out, but then when Foley failed to count to three Angle kicked him in the nuts! This was rad, Angle finally snapped and he had Jarrett and Foley both knocked out cold! Foley got in the mix and accidentally hit Sting with a Steel Chair! Things were starting to look like Summerslam 1997 all over again! As Angle couldn’t put away Sting, he kept getting angry at Jarrett and started to slap him around a little. That prompted Sting to get the upper hand with a little help from Double J and it was all over! That’s right, Sting once again defeats Kurt Angle and is still the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

This ppv sucked. This final match wasn’t all that great, and I can’t believe that the TNA ppv crew cost me another forty bucks or so. I hate these guys sometimes. Sting, come on man, Angle? Come on dude…seriously? TNA needs to change things up dramatically.

Former WWE Wrestler Test Found Dead

TEST is Dead.

I don't have a lot of information, but you can find it out yourself. Jim Ross said:

"The rumors of Andrew's issues were true and he was afforded the opportunity by WWE to attend The Hanley Center Rehabilitation facility in West Palm Beach, Florida for several weeks beginning in August of 2008," Ross wrote. "Andrew successfully completed the WWE funded program and was highly regarded by the Hanley Center with being such an asset to them after completing the program of which Andrew took seriously, according to the facility. Since being released from the facility after successfully completing the program, Andrew had been doing well in his 12 Step AA program and was in contact with WWE with regular phone calls. Ironically, Friday was the day for his regularly scheduled "touching base" but when called his voice mail box was full."

Yep, lets blame steroids.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 3/13/09 Results and Review Big Things Poppin

After last nights terrible night of wrestling, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot out of this one, but alas, things could’ve been better, right?

Edge defeated Kofi Kingston

Finally, Kofi gets his revenge, kind of. He wrestled Edge and for those of you just tuning in, you might remember that Kofi got knocked out cold at No Way Out 2009. Kofi had a lot of good offense in this match up, it seemed that he was on his best night, with great moments throughout. However, Edge is the champion and the champion doesn’t lose with some random mid carder. Kingston did try to pull a rabbit out of the hat many times, but when Edge blocked the spinning kick, Kingston got trapped into The Sharpshooter! Edge made Kofi tap out, in what has to be the first time we’ve seen someone win with the Sharpshooter in a long time. At least a Canadian did it, otherwise, it wouldn’t have been as sweet. Edge wins again.

John Morrison & The Miz defeated The Colon’s

I was hoping for the ultimate unification of the tag team titles, because I’m tired of having two different sets of championship belts. I have to admit, Primo is the fastest pure athlete I’ve seen in a long time. He has the timing of a great Intercontinental Champion, and I was very impressed how he handled this match up when he was in the ring. The Miz and Morrison put up a good fight, but the Smackdown champs were just poetry in motion compared to the ecw guys. Morrison hit the Moonlight Drive and pinned Carlito for the win!

Chavo Guerrero & Shelton Benjamin defeated Mvp & R Truth

Benjamin refused to tag in his rival Chavo Guerrero in this match. Chavo forced his way in by tagging the back of Chavo, and he still has it. He’s fast and he can go, even if he’s not exactly the best champion in the world. MVP got hit with Pay Dirt and it was over! The match was ok at best, nothing too really write about, the guys put on a standard tag match, being careful not to really hurt one another since they have to make it to Wrestlemania.

Matt Hardy did his best Raven impression by going on and on saying something like “What about me, what about Raven…I mean Matt Hardy”. Jeff Hardy came out and confronted his brother Matt. Jeff finally got mad and started to fight off Matt, only to have Matt crawl away crying and saying sorry. Jeff looked weird, and this feud just started to get interesting.

Maria & Melina defeated Maryse & Michelle McCool

This match was starting to get better but as the match really started to develop there was a roll up and it was over. I hate the women’s division in wwe just like I hate a lot of the TNA programming for this reason alone. It’s a matter of having these short matches that don’t really develop into anything more than quick matches with random pins off of roll ups! This match sucked, the wwe divas suck, and I’m tired of watching them.

Finlay defeated The Brian Kendrick in a money in the bank qualifying match

The Brian Kendrick got buried here. I guess he’s just not a viable wrestler for Wrestlemania huh? Remember all those weeks of having The Brian Kendrick show up and win so many different times reintroducing him to the wwe universe, and now where is he? Jobbing out to Finlay? Man this is such a stupid idea. The match was ok at best, it didn’t really set up very well, it was boring to me. Kendrick maybe on the road to be future endeavored!

The Undertaker defeated Kozlov

The Undertaker started this match fast and with a lot of fury. He was obviously trying to get some retribution for the loss he had two weeks ago. The match easily broke out of the ring and spilled onto the floor, creating an instant classic, right? Nope. The WWE had to cut to commercial, and I don’t know, I lost interest in the match. I’m not sure why this match is happening, but I guess it needs to be done since Kozlov isn’t fighting Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Also, Kozlov isn’t undefeated anymore so I guess if he loses matches it’s all good. Undertaker was in full control after the commercial break and things were moving forward nicely. Kozlov started to turn things around by cinching in a headlock and twisting it tightly, but Undertaker pushed away with side throw suplex, getting back into a standing street fight with Kozlov. After all was said and done The Undertaker did what he does best, he dropped Kozlov on his head with a massive Tombstone piledriver, winning clean.

This edition of smackdown had some rough spots, but overall this was a good night of wrestling from the WWE. They sure know how to put on a good show, but it wasn’t complete, that’s for sure.

Tna Impact 3/12/09 Review and Results Final Destination for Main Event Mafia

Kurt Angle started this piece of crap review to much dismay. He is always out there trying to build heat, but he sucks at it now. He tries to call out Jeff Jarrett, and I can’t believe I’m reviewing this. Double J comes down but is stopped by Foley, and Foley came to the ring and told Angle to knock him out. This was another lame attempt at trying to get heat. Angle backed away, and didn’t knock out Foley. Also, no Don West at this point.

Rhino defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

Sheik Abdul Bashir came out and wrestled the war machine Rhino. This wasn’t a good match at all. It really bored me, as it was slow moving and proved nothing. Rhino won with a weak roll up, and that was that. After the match Sheik Abdul Bashir does a weird prayer thing, which is weird to say the least. This match sucked, terrible match, this match was nothing more than a jobbing.

Matt Morgan and Beer Money defeated Abyss and Team 3-D

This match was an elimination match. Apparently if Team 3-D didn’t win, they would be fired. I think that’s what Tenay was getting at. This was a boring match to me. Matt Morgan was left to fight of Abyss as Team 3-D was eliminated. This was obviously made to preview the ppv match up that is going to happen on Sunday. This, unfortunately, was the best part of this match up. I’m always surprised at how fast Abyss can be at times. Abyss was going to use the tacks, but it didn’t happen, as Matt Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint and it was over. This match sucked. 10:03 pm and only two matches have happened…what a load of crap. Team 3-D is still in action…I think they’ll have a title shot on Sunday.

Don West was leaving before the commercial break. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Don West showed up at one point during this telecast. Folley showed up to take his place for the second half of this show.

Taylor Wilde defeated Madison Rayne

This was cut short. It wasn’t a very good match. This was so bad that if you blinked, you missed the action. The Governor parody is dumb. This match ended in a melee or something. This match sucked, this edition of TNA is totally wrecked at this point.

After the commercial break, Scott Steiner knocked out Mick Foley with a lead pipe. Booker T was distracting him and Steiner ran out with a lead pipe and BOOM, knocked him out. Awesome, huh? Another lame story line for TNA; and maybe I’m just too tired for this, but this is the worst thing I’ve seen in wrestling in a long time. Why does anyone still watch TNA? I do it cause there is no real #2 in professional wrestling today, and it’s sad. Maybe someone will get a real shot at competing with WWE, but it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. If TNA is the alternative, man, we’re all doomed; all wrestling fans are forced to settle for a terrible, terrible product.

Lethal Consequences & Lax defeated The Motor City Machines Guns and Members of the Main Event Mafia

Quite honestly, this match was terrible. TNA has a way of wasting their program with terrible wrestling. This was it, this is terrible; the good guys win, and that’s the end of that.

Eric Young defeated Rocco

Talk about a terrible piece of crap. This main event had some fat dude named Rocco as Kurt Angle’s pick to wrestle Sting’s pick of Eric Young. I kid you not when I say that this was the worst idea I’ve ever seen. The fat dude, Rocco, is just some fat dude…seriously, just some random fat dude. Eric Young wins, by delivering a huge death valley driver on the big man, and it was over.

Rocco was just some random fat guy. NO, not like Earthquake, when Dino Bravo discovered him. This fat dude is just a fat dude, and he was backed by Kurt Angle; I wanted to fire al the TNA writers because of this.

Foley ran down to fight with Angle. Double J showed up with a chair and hit anything that moved. He then almost knocked out Steiner, but STING protected the idiots. No one in their right mind liked TNA, I know I didn't. TNA SUCKS!

WCW The Nasty Boys vs Public Enemy Legacy

For some reason, WCW hired Ecw mainstays "Public Enemy" to their roster for the sole purpose of having them get beat up all the time. After that wore off, they decided that it was time for them to start pulling the curtain at ppv. They ended up constantly fighting with The Nasty Boys. There was a ton of memorable moments between the two tag teams as they were notorious for working stiff.

I recall one match that I can't seem to find often, involved some great moments from these two teams, and that was at Bash at the Beach 1996! The two teams squared off in a double dog collar match and they couldn't break this table. This table was landed on by both teams from the top rope and it just wouldn't break and you could hear the table buckling and bouncing wrestlers off. This was a great moment in extreme wrestling.

Well, both teams are no longer in wrestling fans heads, but I still loved watching the two teams go at it.

ECW on Sci Fi 3/11/09 Results and Review Battle Royal Mayhem

ECW once again showed up and proved that you don’t need much to have a good overall wrestling show.

Primo Colon defeated The Miz

This match had Carlito and John Morrison on color commentary, which was hilarious. John Morrison and Carlito are so fast in returning verbal blows. Morrison is more hilarious, but Carlito fired back in great stuff. Meanwhile, the match wasn’t half bad. The Miz and Primo were putting on a good overall match up, and while The Miz kept ducking Primo’s high flying assault, Primo managed to keep coming back with more and more fast paced maneuvers. Primo hit the top rope dropkick and things seemed to be slower. The Miz was moving forward into the corner and got hit with the Back Stabber for the win! Good opening match, lots of fast paced action, and overall, a good one, I liked this a lot.

Tyson Kid defeated Dj Gabriel

This is not a bad feud. I know a lot of people don’t like Dj Gabriel that much, but I don’t mind him. He has a few moves and he reacts somewhat well. Tyson Kidd is impressive though, wow, he’s spot on with that flying Elbow drop from the top rope. I haven’t seen such great precision since The Macho Man Randy Savage. Dj Gabriel lost this one and Tyson Kidd remains undefeated!

Christian won a money in the bank battle royal

There were a lot of wrestlers in this match. I’ll try to list them here…

Christian, Kung Fu Naki, R Truth, Goldust, Paul Burchill,The Great Khali,Chavo Guerrero, Charlie Haas,Ricky Ortiz,Jimmy Wang Yang,Kozlov,Tommy Dreamer,Dolph Ziggler,William Regal,Shad, and JTG.

Overall a good battle royal; I don’t mind these things that much, you have to appreciate so many superstars trying to communicate with each other in ring. The final four were Christian, Regal, Chavo Guerrero and R Truth! The final two turned out to be Chavo Guerrero and Christian! The two fought each other on the apron but Christian managed to kick Chavo right off the apron and is NOW going to Wrestlemania! He’s my pick for Money in the Bank, you heard it here first, or second, whatever.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/9/09 Results and Review Triple H Gets Arrested

I admit, I was really tired during this show. However, I tried to suck it up for you 2 readers out there that still come to the site. I know that no one is buying anything and no one is reading this, but I like it, so I keep writing.

The show opened up with Shawn Michaels in the ring talking about The Undertaker. The Undertaker shows up after a promo package of highlights, and HBK starts randomly talking about how cool he is, whatever. The Undertaker said he would lay HBK’s dream to rest, and random crap. This is boring to me. The two should just beat each other to hell like they did at In Your House Ground Zero, where the whole locker room had to come out and stop them from killing each other.

Oh yeah, THE WWE HAS FIRED KIZARNY!!! I just remembered that, Kizarn sucked, but man, WWE really lost money on that dude with lots of promo’s leading up to his debut.

JBL defeated C.M. Punk to win the Intercontinental Championship

Alright, our first match on the card was an Intercontinental battle between JBL and C.M. Punk. Wow, this match look good, and JBL was trying everything to work well with Punk. I hate how the WWE goes from Punk standing over a fallen JBL at the commercial break to being in the losers seat after the commercials are over. It’s a little too predictable at this point, which sours the match up a little. This is no fault of the competitors, but I wish the WWE would do something about that. The Tornado ddt was good, Punk nearly had JBL out after that move. Punk nearly knocked out JBL with a knee to the head and a a running bulldog, but JBL hit the Clothesline from Hell on C.M. Punk, nearly out of nowhere, and it was all over! JBL is the new Intercontinental Champion!

Randy Orton’s house was shown and Michael Cole interviewed him. This was a stupid segment and a waste of time. I was really expecting Triple H to show up, just like Stone Cold showed up at Brian Pillman’s house, but alas, it didn’t happen. I’m telling you, this was the worst thing I’ve seen on Raw in a long time.

Maryse defeated Melina

This was a terrible match up. A seriously terrible match; but afterwards there was an all out brawl with divas from Smackdown and Raw tearing it up in the ring, which was kind of cool, I guess.

There was a contract signing on Raw , and John Cena was added to the title match between Big Show and Edge. Things got weird when John Cena said that he loved Vickie Guerrero. It was really weird, and I tuned out a little bit. This is stupid and no one was laughing, at least I wasn’t. This is the weirdest twist, and left me stunned. I’m sickened that they would go through this story line. This is stupid, seriously stupid.

Then after all that weirdness, Cena showed a tape of Big Show kissing Vickie Guerrero. Weird. This is the worst segment of the night, what a terrible way to advance story lines.

Kofi Kingston defeated Chris Jericho in a money in the bank qualifying match

It’s good to see that Kofi Kingston is still employed. I was having my doubts after he got beat down at No Way Out. Jericho and Kingston put together an interesting match up, with a few spots, considering that there wasn’t a whole lot of time for this match up to develop. Chris Jericho had this match sewn up with Kofi Kingston in the Walls of Jericho and ready to tap out. Ric Flair showed up at the ramp and distracted Jericho, Kingston hit him with a huge roundhouse kick and it was over.

Once again we go to Randy Orton’s house…lame.

Koko B. Ware will be inducated into the WWE Hall of Fame. That was a good pick, that guy had some hops and one of the best drop kicks in the industry.

Rey Mysterio, Finlay, Christian defeated Miz & Morrison, and Kane

This match seemed very rushed, but it was ok. Christian is spot on, and I’m glad he’s back in the WWE. I hope they don’t just fire him sooner than later, that’s for sure. Overall, not a terrible match up, with some good overall spots; but this still seemed rushed and just slapped together to get more talent in on the night. Whatever the case is, the good guys win, and that’s that.

Rhodes & Dibiase defeated Triple H via forfeit

Triple H, didn’t show up for his match. So automatically the young guns get a paycheck for just being in the arena. Randy Orton was mad, via satellite.

WHAT THE HECK!

Triple H showed up at Randy Orton’s house with a sledgehammer, knocks down the door, then bum rushes the inside!!! This is just like the Stone Cold feud, and this was terrible. Screw you wwe, geez! Police show up as Randy Orton is on his front lawn getting beat up. Triple H gets arrested, what a load of crap.

This the worst ending to Raw since 1997, seriously, this is a load of crap, and a stupid way to put this feud over, stupid, stupid stupid. WWE has sunk to a new low.

WWE Smackdown 3/6/09 More Hardy Crap

Smackdown opened up with The Undertaker. He accepts Shawn Michaels challenge for Wrestlemania. Do you recall the last few times Taker wrestled HBK? The most memorable for me is Hell in the Cell where HBK beat the Undertaker! But a month before that at In Your House Ground Zero, Undertaker and Michaels squared off in one hell of a match to a dq finish. I think Undertaker was getting the best of that exchange, truth be told. Undertaker leaves the ring, and we are treated to a ton of commercials.

MVP defeated Matt Hardy in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

In this Money in the Bank qualifier, we saw an interesting combination. These two have wrestled a bunch of times in the past, and I wasn’t sure which would win. I thought both wrestlers had good shots at getting into the match up, so the WWE threw me a wild card. Matt Hardy has this match in full control. MVP was not doing so well, even though he’s wrestled Hardy many times in the past. Hardy hasn’t changed his style very much, even though he has a vendetta of a heel turn going on right now. Matt Hardy had this thing sewn up easily but he hesitated and MVP rolled him up fast for a quick count pinfall win and MVP is going to Wrestlemania!

Maryse defeated Eve Torres

This was a standard divas squash match up. Nothing too crazy here; Eve got a few hits in before Maryse squashed her. The wwe divas are the worst thing in professional wrestling right now.

Even though John Cena crashed the contract signing for Big Show & Edge, I hate contract signings. They are pointless and always get ruined. Edge took a great bump when Cena through a folding table at him full force! That was rad, other than that, it was lame; Cena is trying to get in on the title match at Wrestlemania, I smell another Triple Threat match.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Jeff Hardy via dq in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin were making a great overall attempt to get a good match in. The match was going great, Jeff Hardy was going over huge in this match, meanwhile Shelton Benjamin was throwing up everything he could possible muster to stay in this match up. Then Matt Hardy an down and struck Benjamin, causing Jeff Hardy to get disqualified! So Shelton Benjamin is going to wrestlemania!

Triple H vs. Umaga No Contest

The main event this week on Smackdown was none other than Umaga against Triple H. HHH started this match fast and furious, but Umaga fought back and had the champion reeling. I remember when facing Umaga meant something and when Umaga was such a monster that ppv’s were built around him challenging someone for the belt. Now he’s nothing more than another character for Triple H to hold down on the WWE Roster. That’s what I got from this match, even though Umaga hit Triple H several times with major shots. I did also notice that Umaga has lost a considerable amount of weight, and has gained some quickness in the process. I had no doubt that Triple H would pull this one out, but Umaga wasn’t going down without getting some major shots in. Umaga wasn’t the aggressor all the time. Umaga was thrown out of the ring and it appeared that he had legitimately injured his knee while hitting the floor hard.

At this point Legacy came out from the crowd! Triple H fought them off for a second but was getting worked by the younger talent. The fight spilled out to the outside and the numbers game was just way too much for The Game. The fight got knocked into the announce table, and things were not looking good. This melee of an ending was good, but come on, seriously? Is this TNA? The match was thrown out and it looked like Umaga was messed up, so this was good. I’m assuming the match is a no contest.

Where’s Kendrick. Where’s the rest of the roster? The WWE has a TON of talent that is not featured at all. Bring some of them back!

TNA Impact 3/5/09 Results and Review Angle Suspended

TNA opens with a message from Jeff Jarrett. He states that Angle has been suspended without pay for beating up Foley and himself. Then we get into the night of wrestling…oh boy.

The show continued to having Sting out at ringside and getting a pep talk from Kevin Nash. It was boring. The same thing that was going on for a while now, nothing to even mention; TNA is doing it wrong, that’s for sure, another terrible opening from Tna, thanks.

Alex Shelley defeated Kiyoshi

The small guys throw together an ok match up. Kiyoshi is an interesting wrestler and has a definitive Great Muta vibe going. I still think Alex Shelley has the worst music in professional wrestling. I haven’t heard such lame music for a champion in a long time. The match seemed a half step too slow, and I wonder if Kiyoshi has a language barrier in this match up. He put up a great match but the champion seemed to know what to do, and how to react to Kiyoshi’s strong style of wrestling. Overall, this match was way too slow. I think that TNA needs to allow more time for these x-division match ups to develop.

Post match, Suicide came down to the ring and beat up The Motor City Machine Guns. This masked wrestler is the worst idea for TNA. Whomever is under the mask, sucks.

The Beautiful People defeated Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed and Sojourner Bolt & Rhaka Khan, and Roxxi & Taylor Wilde

The knockouts are ok. At least in this match, there’s just too much going on in this match. A lot of fast moves, a lot of quick tags, and not a whole lot of in ring action. This match was way too fast, and it finished quickly, with interference from Madison Rayne. I’m not sure why TNA doesn’t let their matches develop stories, they just go out there and have clusters of explosive action. It’s funny to me that they have Governor Palin in there, she’s dropping bombs with the Thrilla from Wasilla! It’s funny to me because my wife is from Alaska, and I’ve been to that city, it’s nothing crazy. Alright, the match was ok at best.

Samoa Joe brings out a knife and nearly cuts Scott Steiner with it. Also, Aj Styles stole the Legends Title, only to get arrested for it. Then Don West and Mike Tenay argued over some random crap, all of this and no wrestling action.

Matt Morgan defeated Shane Sewell

This match was a squashing of Shane Sewell. Matt Morgan sucks, and doesn’t really showcase a lot of charisma to me. Matt Morgan wins, easy, and that’s it.

Oh, the running gag on the show was that Double J gave Kurt Angle’s salary to the x-division guys. They all bought suits and looked sharp on Angle’s dime. So every other interview had Kurt Angle beating them up for it. It was lame, but it’s the running gag.

LAX defeated Beer Money via disqualification

Once again, the best part of TNA this week has to be these tag team title matches. Beer Money has some great chemistry together and reminds me a lot of the old Brain Busters team at times. LAX looked like they were on the way to another title reign, but Beer Money deliberately were disqualified so that they wouldn’t loose the belts! LAX wins, but doesn’t get the titles. Team 3-D runs down to help LAX and Beer Money make their exits.

At the start of Impact Double J clearly said he wasn’t a wrestler and that Sting would handle Kurt Angle. At the end of the show Double J and Kurt Angle were fighting each other. This was basically a street fight, and Double J was desperately trying to get over with the TNA impact crowd. He was basically fighting Kurt Angle tooth & nail. Jeff Jarrett threw Kurt Angle out of the building, with a little help from Team 3-D and Mick Foley, and the crowd went nuts for this ending of Impact.

You know what? Not bad Tna, you guys made something crappy turn out kind of cool at the end. Good job for once.

Ecw on Scifi 3/3/09 Results and Review

Kane defeated The Boogeyman

I wasn’t sure how this one was going to go. The Boogeyman has never been tested, and this was definitely going to be an interesting one, to say the least. Kane was going to the well right away, and The Boogeyman looked good in there for once, taking some punishment, but also dishing out a few moves here and there. Kane looked dominant in the match though, and I had to wonder why they would bury boogeyman on his own show? As I thought that, Kane caught Boogey coming off the top rope and nailed a Chokeslam for the easy pinfall.

Mark Henry defeated Santino in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

I can’t say that I agree with this one. Santino was buried by Mark Henry in this match, and he goes onto Wrestlemania. I don’t like that there are bigger guys in the ladder match because they are slow and won’t take big risks. On the other hand, bigger guys will catch and/or take damage from guys that are jumping off ladders, so maybe it all works out.

Natalya defeated Alicia Fox

Natalya very well maybe the best WWE diva. She put on a picture perfect Abdominal stretch in this match up, and did a good job making Alicia Fox look better than she would’ve been otherwise. Natalya beat Alicia Fox easily.

Post match, Tyson Kid tried to fight Dj Gabriel, and this will set up their feud, I’m sure.

Jack Swagger, Miz, and Morrison defeated Christian, Finlay, and Tommy Dreamer

The best tag matches seem to be isolated to ECW, these guys turn in simple six man tags into clinics on in ring psychology. Case in point, Tommy Dreamer getting cornered and isolated to the right side of the ring, with Swagger, Miz, and Morrison each taking turns putting out their frustration on the ECW veteran; eventually there was a hot tag in this match and Christian was clearing house. Captain Charisma was looking good out there, until he knocked out Finlay on accident. He had this match sewn up, but that slight distraction looked to be his downfall as he couldn’t put away Morrison away. A rolling ddt, followed by a diving head butt was destined to get the win for Christian and his team, but Miz saved the day. Morrison missed the flying leg, but Swagger was the legal man and he ran in right on time for the gut wrench powerbomb, once again defeating Christian by pinfall and costing the returning former Intercontinental Champion the atch for him and his team.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/2/09 Results and Review

The show opened with an announcement that there will be a world title match tonight on Raw. Then the show moved right to Piper’s Pit! That’s right, Piper’s Pit opened up the show with your host…Chris Jericho! He brought out Superfly Jimmy Snuka! I marked out huge for seeing Snuka out there, as he is one of my childhood favorites, and I even liked him through Wrestlemania 8 and so on and so forth. The show melted down into a reenactment of the famous Snuka/Piper’s pit event, but Snuka outsmarted Chris Jericho for the moment. He celebrated to a lot of fan fair, but Jericho smashed the set onto Snuka and got the final laugh by beating him up.

Jericho has so much heat, there can’t possibly be more heat on the guy. He is the most hated wrestler in the wwe right now, and more so for beating up Jimmy Snuka. I’m not sure where this is going, but if it means Lawler vs Jericho at Wrestlemania, I’m going to be upset. Then again, Lawler needs one shot at Wrestlemania and maybe he can bring it…if only for a second.

Kane defeated Mike Knox, and Rey Mysterio Jr. in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

This match didn’t make sense to me. I understood that Rey couldn’t win, even though he had a major comeback midway into the match, but for Kane to win is dumb to me. He’s not a high flyer at all, and I find him boring in a ladder match. He’s not Undertaker, he’s not going to bump like Taker did for Jeff Hardy a few years back. Kane in the ladder match at Wrestlemania, is dumb to me. I’m sorry. This match was noting too crazy, it was ok at best.

Kelly Kelly & Mickie James defeated Jillian & Beth Phoenix

They don’t let these matches develop long enough This match was lame, and it didn’t take long to develop at all. It ended up with a surprise victory and was overshadowed completely by Maryse delivering a DDT to the floor on the outside. What a terrible piece of crap match. Why even have the divas in wwe? This is the worst division in professional wrestling, it makes me want to give up on wrestling. Sadly, the least Gay thing about professional wrestling is the wwe divas, and yet I can’t stand the way the matches go. I know I’m not alone thinking this.

Randy Orton was out in the ring with an entourage, saying he didn’t want to wrestle at Wrestlemania against Triple H. Triple H came out and gave a long speech about how Randy Orton is scared of him and he doesn’t want to wrestle him at mania cause he’s an idiot and that he’s young. This bored me greatly, I don’t care about Triple H antagonizing Orton, we need to see Orton chasing a little, otherwise why is he the heel? Of course Orton changes his mind and makes a mandate that Triple H can’t touch him, the standards. Lame.

Shawn Michaels defeated Vladimir Kozlov

Smart wrestling by HBk in this match, the chop block on Kozlov was classic. If you can isolate the leg on Kozlov, he can’t perform his moves and you can take advantage. However, this was short lived with Kozlov putting the boots to Shawn Michaels. This was quite the power match for Kozlov, HBK was singled out completely for his former back injury, creating an interesting psychology to the match up. I gotta admit, Kozlov has the best in ring psychology since Bret Hart. Yeah, I said it. The counter to the flying elbow was key, that was an excellent reversal, and the match was methodically getting worse for HBK, proving that Kozlov has got a little more than your average monster heel. HBK really worked a good match too, creating wonder that maybe there was more to the HBK tank than we give him credit for! Then they threw it all away…the wwe took a dump on the fans and everyone watching. Within a few seconds the match was over as HBK “hulked” up and hit sweet chin music, derailing the best Kozlov match up to this point. Screw you McMahon, what a terrible finish to what could’ve been a classic.

Post match, The Undertaker came out and looked creepy, big deal. Who cares?

Cowboy Bill Watts was announced into the WWE Hall of Fame.

John Cena defeated Edge via Disqualification

This match sucked. The ending sucked and I’m personally tired of this feud. We saw this already in 2007 right? Late 06 and 07 was Edge and Cena every week! I’m sick of this crap. The dq finish too, what a load of crap, Raw sucks, this match sucked, I’m so sick of this crap.

Maybe ECW can pick it up tomorrow, we’ll see.

Oh and Big show was named #1 contender to the world title...great.
