WWE Monday Night Raw November 28, 2016 Results and Review Hot Potato Women’s Championship

Charlotte Before She Sobbed From The Pain, I'd Cry Too
Live from Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday Night Raw hit a high note at times, but not without some seriously bad things. There were a lot of things happening, and while I liked a good chunk, this show was not without a few notes of anger and stupidity. I mean, come on, Cesaro and Shamus are the new APA? Yeah right. Whatever. Here are my thoughts on last night’s Raw.

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns crashed “The Highlight Reel” with Kevin Owens

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks ended in a Double Count-out
Enzo Amore def. Rusev via Disqualification
Rich Swann def. Noam Dar
U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship

Sasha Banks def. Charlotte Flair to become the new Raw Women’s Champion

WWE Monday Night Raw November 28, 2016 Review

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns crashed “The Highlight Reel” with Kevin Owens

The Highlight Reel was dumb. They opened up with another point of a break up between Owens and Jericho. Reigns and Owens got mad at each other, Jericho got mad at each other, and this will no doubt set up Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens.

Braun Strowman def. R-Truth

Stupid match. I don’t care about Brown Shoeman. Whatever. Sami Zayn showed up and got a beat down, Foley came out, blah, blah, blah. It was dumb. R-Truth got buried, then Goldust got buried.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Tony Nese def. Cedric Alexander

The best part of this element was Nese getting a win over Alexander. But let’s consider that the WWE does this often. They make challengers and champions look weak before a title match. That’s what happened here. Alexander loses, Nese wins with interference, and the best part of this was Kendrick on the color commentary.

Seth Rollins attacked Chris Jericho in the parking lot

Yep. Rollins beat up Jericho. I didn’t care, you didn’t care, Rollins sucks.

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks ended in a Double Count-out

This was smart. I liked how this started, and ended. I think that this should’ve led to a PPV match rather than Foley setting up another match later on. This would not end well for Charlotte, so SPOILER alert.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Enzo Amore def. Rusev via Disqualification

Boredom movements happen a lot on Raw. This was boring. Good mic skills from Enzo and Cass, bad match rating, and a waste.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Rich Swann def. Noam Dar

It comes to my attention that I mixed up Swann and Alexander, and I’m an idiot because Kendrick was on here not the other. Oh well. This match was ok, and I’m an idiot. I apologize for my lack of enthusiasm for the cruiserweights.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship

Did the WWE telegraph this one or what? Did you really think that Owens was going to win? I didn’t. Reigns stayed strong, and that was that. He took a beating, and the commentary team basically jerked off until they blew their loads for the finish. Michael Cole especially was spent with his commentary at the end, yelling about how Roman Reigns has put in a great performance and win. Yeah, yeah, Reigns wins, Superman Reigns.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Paul Heyman declared Brock Lesnar for the Royal Rumble Match

So Brock Lesnar is in the Rumble and he’s going to cost Goldberg the match.

OR!!!!!

Picture this. Lesnar, Goldberg, Ambrose, Reigns, Jericho, and Rollins are left in the final stages of the Rumble. They all start battling it out, and things get hectic, with refs getting distracted with Goldberg and Lesnar. Lesnar and Goldberg fighting on the outside, and the last 4 left will be Ambrose, Reigns, Jericho, and Rollins, with the final winner being one of those guys. Let’s just say it’s Jericho. This can’t stand, so they put an Elimination Chamber crossover match in which we see a final winner for the title. The chamber will include Lesnar and Goldberg, and that will give Goldberg the title.

Would Probably Have A Better Chance Against The New Day

Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Club Sandwich, Club Sandwich! The Club Sandwich boys lose again. Who cares.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

Sasha Banks def. Charlotte Flair to become the new Raw Women’s Champion

Here we go, the main event. The main event was a great showcase of these two women’s strengths. I loved the Hell in the Cell match. I also loved their other matches, but this one once again showed that these two are great together. However, I wish there were more women getting title shots and mixing it up. Flair took a beating, no doubt. She took on such a beating, and Banks went through with getting shots to the dome too. That giant forehead of hers got hit a lot, but so did Charlotte’s mole. The ending came with a Bank Statement through a guard rail, which was great. I wish the tap out didn’t come so quickly, but it did. Ric Flair came out and raised Sasha's hand. I loved this match, great showing.

WWE Monday Night Raw November 21, 2016 Results and Review One Hell of A Main Event

Kevin Owens Didn't Get Injured Here, A Miracle for Thanksgiving!
The WWE was still in Canada after Survivor Series and with that comes another edition of Monday Night Raw. This 3 hour block was actually a little over 2 hours when I saw it, since I get it without any commercials at all. Whatever the case may be, it wasn’t half bad, well, some of it was good anyways. Here we go, the Raw results and review showcase that is NOT the Hulu Edition anymore.

WWE Monday Night Raw November 21, 2016 Results

Goldberg declared for the Royal Rumble Match
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Cesaro & Sheamus
Cedric Alexander def. Ariya Daivari
Rusev def. Enzo Amore
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Golden Truth to become No. 1 contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championship
Braun Strowman def. Sami Zayn via Match stoppage
Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax
Rich Swann def. TJ Perkins and Noam Dar to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins in a No Disqualification Match

WWE Monday Night Raw November 21, 2016 Review

Goldberg declared for the Royal Rumble Match

Really? Who cares. Ok, maybe the WWE cares since Goldberg completely buried Brock Lesnar. How would I book it? I would have Goldberg come out as #1 and plow through the first 5 or so candidates until Brock shows up, and the two start throwing people out and over the top. I would eventually have Lesnar sucker punch Goldberg and toss him out. Then Lesnar gets tossed out too. I would also have Dean Ambrose with an ultimatum that if he doesn’t win the Royal Rumble, he will not get another WWE title shot against Aj Styles, since he will not win at TLC. Ambrose loses, Lesnar is out, Goldberg is also out, and that leaves Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, and The Undertaker left in the match. I’m going with Taker getting a win here, but hey, you may see something new out of the match, so we’ll have to wait for Texas, won’t we? I wish I was going.

Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Cesaro & Sheamus

Now this was an all start classic for me. Cesaro and Sheamus should’ve won this match. The two work so well together and they put on a serious show. Cesaro’s strength alone is worth checking out here, as he was on fire. Why he is not a Title contender and why he is not a champion is beyond me. Speaking of Champions, has anyone seen the U.S. Title? Yeah, me neither. Go back and watch this one for Cesaro’s incredible timing. Oh and The New Day wins by cheating. Whatever.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Cedric Alexander def. Ariya Daivari

No one cares about the cruiserweights. From what I read online, the WWE won’t let them have the same type of matches that they had during the Cruiserweight Classic. It shows. This match was ok, nothing more. I miss the WCW division of this, heck, even the ECW option was better.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Rusev def. Enzo Amore

Enzo got killed. Enzo was walking around the back naked, as Cass had locked him out of their locker room as a prank. That set up this match as Enzo was naked in front of Lana, and well Rusev got mad.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Golden Truth to become No. 1 contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championship

How in the world did The Golden Truth get into a No. 1 contenders match? How? Whatever, The Club Sandwich boys win this match and everyone goes home happy, who cares. I don’t.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Braun Strowman def. Sami Zayn via Match stoppage

THE BS moment of the night. Sami Zayn is told that if his punishment for losing at Survivor Series was to face off against Brown Shoeman. Well, Shoeman beat him to death, and that was that. Foley stopped the match. Zayn is lost here. It’s time for him to leave the Raw brand and perhaps even the WWE, they aren’t doing anything with him.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax

Another boring match in which we are supposed to believe that Nia Jax is a monster that can be beaten one minute, than can’t be beaten the next. Oh well, this match was ok. However, why is Sasha Banks teaming with Bayley and why are they friends? How can she be the boss if she’s friendly with everyone? I don’t know. Not a bad match, but short and sweet, moving towards diva territory if you ask me.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Rich Swann def. TJ Perkins and Noam Dar to become No. 1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Again, no one on Raw cares about the cruiserweights. Swann is talented, and it was nice to see him pick up the win. However, this needs to move towards Smackdown, it just has to, otherwise we are in for a long winter.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins in a No Disqualification Match

Raw usually doesn’t get good main events, in my opinion. However, this was one hell of a main event. It not only featured everything that you’d want out of a title match, it features some shenanigans as well. Jericho and Owens were teasing splitting up earlier, but they ended up solid with Jericho coming through the crowd in a Sin Cara mask to beat up Rollins. He was supposed to barred from ringside. Rollins loses again, and Owens pulls off another victory. Fat Ass Kevin Owens put on a show, and took a beating, this was great, a 4 star match on Raw.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Great overall showcase for the Raw brand. I liked the booking, it had some good overall matches, and some great moments overall. Even though it seemed a bit long, that ending match made it all worth it, as the Canadian fans got a 4 star classic for the Universal Super Belt. We’ll see where this all goes, but it was a good night of wrestling for me and for those that watched it, I’m sure.

WWE Survivor Series November 20, 2016 Results and Review The Burial of Brock Lesnar

Buried!!!!
I was excited for this pay per view, and wanted to go to Toronto, but wasn’t able to get there. I saw this on the network with no major problems, and did not watch the pre-show. I wasn’t going to sit for 2 hours or 3 hours ahead of what I thought was going to be a 4 hour show. It wasn’t 4 hours, thankfully.

WWE Survivor Series November 20, 2016 Review

As I stated, I did not see the pre-show so I cannot comment on the first two matches that opened. Oh well.

Team Raw def. Team SmackDown LIVE in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match

Team Raw’s women won a great overall women’s match, but the crowd was somewhat quiet. Nia Jax was the star here. The double suplex absolutely had me marking out. I loved it. Great stuff from them. Great overall match, lots of back and forth, lots of fighting. Raw won, after a length battle, and boom, the women’s revolution is back full circle to diva status opening the main show.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Intercontinental Champion The Miz def. Sami Zayn

The Miz and Zayn put on a halfway decent match, but it was mostly boring. I didn’t like it. I thought Zayn was supposed to win this, but nope. The Miz cheated, and that was that. Not a great match, not a bad match, but definitely a lot to be desired.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Team Raw def. Team SmackDown LIVE in a 10-on-10 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match

Now this was a boring match. It was a boring moving tag match with a lot of boredom. However, the win was nice with Enzo and Cass putting on a major show. I loved that. It was great to see that, and the crowd popped, but other than that, it was somewhat forgettable to me.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick def. Kalisto

Kendrick and Kalisto put on a great match for a crowd that didn’t appreciate it. It was a fun match, no doubt, but Corbin ran in and messed things up. Kalisto is good, but not good enough to win here, and Kendrick keeps the guys on raw. Kendrick’s promo before the match was great.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Team SmackDown LIVE def. Team Raw in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Great stuff. Great stuff all around. Styles and Ambrose pushed their feud, but alas, Roman remained strong. Roman remained STRONG all the way until the loss. Shane nearly dying from a concussion was insane, it’s time for him to go. Lots of action, a long match, and just a lot of fun. The Shield reunited for a moment, and the crowd was way into this match, great stuff.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Goldberg def. Brock Lesnar

No one called this. I loved it. An absolute burial! Goldberg hit 2 spears, and a jackhammer, and that was that. The crowd went insane, people were shocked, and that was the show! Great stuff, I loved it.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

And that’s that. Not a great show, but lots of fun in the matches, etc. Good stuff. Ended early, made me hit the gym. Oh well.

WWE NXT Takeover Toronto November 19, 2016 Results and Review: Mickie James Wow

The End of Shinsuke
WWE NXT was live in Toronto, and I didn’t see it live. I saw 2 hours worth of the show before the WWE Network cut off the final. I had to hunt that out myself. I’m not a big NXT follower, so I can’t comment on the bigger stories that are going on. However, I have been critical of Nakamura’s lack of English and so with Asuka, so there’s that. Anyways, here we go, my thoughts on the NXT showcase from Toronto. I wanted to be there so I could’ve met Lacey Jade, but nope, I was stuck in the states.

WWE NXT Takeover Toronto Results

Bobby Roode def. Tye Dillinger
The Authors of Pain def. TM61 to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Paul Ellering suspended above the ring in the Crash Cage
#DIY def. The Revival in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match to win the NXT Tag Team Championship
NXT Women’s Champion Asuka def. Mickie James
Samoa Joe def. Shinsuke Nakamura to win the NXT Championship

WWE NXT Takeover Toronto Review

Bobby Roode def. Tye Dillinger

Good action in this one, with a hot crowd that was great. Roode is a great heel, and Dillinger has some amazing timing. The match was hard hitting, fast moving, and a good overall pro wrestling match with lots of nice spots, including an incredible superplex, or should I say glorious! Roode wins with a great DDT and Dillinger has to rethink if he’s really a perfect 10.

Match rating: 4 out of 5

The Authors of Pain def. TM61 to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Paul Ellering suspended above the ring in the Crash Cage

Great hard hitting match, with The Authors of Pain throwing down everything but the kitchen skin to win. I loved the Crash Cage above the ring, I loved the hard hitting action juxtaposed with TM61 putting on a great showcase of aerial maneuvers. Great stuff. I loved it.
Match Rating: 3 out 5

#DIY def. The Revival in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match to win the NXT Tag Team Championship

I fell asleep during the second fall, but loved how DIY was able to sneak out a win against The Revival. Great movement, nice spots, great options, and eventually a final fall and a big win for the story.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka def. Mickie James

I’m in love with Mickie James. Wow. She comes back and puts Asuka through the ringer, only to finally tap out at the end. James was absolutely wonderful, and amazing in this match. Holy crap, I loved everything. She was in shape, put on a show, and thought she should’ve won. Oh well.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Samoa Joe def. Shinsuke Nakamura to win the NXT Championship

Meh. I’m not a fan of Nakamura, and Joe was great 10 years ago. This was an ok match, but not as good as some of the other main events that the NXT brand has put on in the past. Oh well. That’s my 2 cents.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Overall, NXT is not that great. This was fun at first, but it got boring fast. I’m sorry, but the star power here is missing, especially after getting raided earlier this year. Oh well. The women’s match though, great stuff, the opener was good too, and the tag matches were definitely great too.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions

This weekend the WWE will be in Canada, where I wanted to be, and will be putting on a showcase of the immortals, aka The Survivor Series. I miss the old Thanksgiving eve or even Thanksgiving day tradition. I loved the old showcase, and with this Raw vs Smackdown thing, I’m not as excited. However, I am going to cheer, eat pizza, and drink beer like I always do. And well, here we go, a great time to predict what is going to happen, and here we go.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions

Brock Lesnar defeats Bill Goldberg

I have no idea why the WWE would let Goldberg come back only to win and then go away. I’m going to say that he pulls off the big win here. Goldberg doesn’t get humbled like Randy Orton, but instead, he goes in and puts on about 5 minutes of offense, then starts to lose it. Look for Lesnar to take Goldberg to Suplex City, and win this match clean, and that’s that.

WWE Team Raw defeats Team Smackdown

Look, I like the teams fair enough, but they don’t make sense. If you go back to the original Survivor Series matches, they never put together teams that were at odds. It was bad guys versus the good guys, and you had dream matches in the middle. There are no dream matches here, these guys are just thrown together for a pride that makes no sense to me. I expect Ellsworth to get beat down, I expect Raw to get the win, and above all else, Roman Reigns is going to look strong no matter what.

WWE Tag Team Raw defeats Team Smackdown

Did we already forget that The Usos tried to break the legs of American Alpha? Did we already forget that 4 of the guys are part of the jobber squad? On Raw, you have far better participants, and of course with the New Day needing to look strong, watch out for them to win this one, and get the win.

Kalisto defeats The Brian Kendrick

Why would Kendrick need to give any sort of pep talk? Seriously. Nothing changes for the cruiserweights except that they get moved from one show to another show, and well better announcers. I’m going to say that Kalisto wins this one, and the whole roster moves to Smackdown and Kendrick wins the belt back in a triple threat match which involves Kalisto botching moves, Tj Perkins getting no reaction, and Kendrick getting that 37 year old swagger win.

The MIz defeats Sam Zayn

Sami Zayn needs a title, he’s floundering on Raw, Stephanie McMahon seems to hate him, and well he should go to Smackdown. Look for The Miz to beat Zayn, get fired from Raw, only to have a rematch on Smackdown to win the title. The Miz is going to get booed out of the building, since Zayn is from Canada. This will be a good match, but expect Zayn to go down in flames.

The Smackdown Women defeat The Raw Women

In another showcase, I am going to go with the Smackdown women getting the big win here. I am going to say that they are the underdog, but that’s not really true. I just think that they are going to want to make John Cena’s girlfriend look strong, and well, she’s going to win. I think this should be an interesting match, and well it’s going to be good.

That’s my take on this weekends showcase. I think that it will be a good show, although it won’t lead to much more in terms of story line, unless people purposely walk away and leave their team. I don’t get this pride thing, but hey that’s just me. If you got picks, drop me a line, otherwise, watch the show, drink some Steveweiser and enjoy!

Wild Card Predictions

Don’t be surprised if The Club Sandwich boys turn on the rest of their team.

Don’t be surprised if someone gets injured on the Smackdown team, requiring the Undertaker to take his place.

Top 11 Bill Goldberg Matches of All Time

Top 11 Bill Goldberg Matches
A long time ago, I posted the Top 3 Bill Goldberg matches, and they stand as some very strong matches. But after so long, I’ve managed to watch a lot more wrestling, and thanks to the WWE Network, I have been able to get back to some of the older matches that I saw, didn’t see, and forgot about. With that in mind, I am going to attempt a top 10 Bill Goldberg match list here, because we all know that this Sunday on PPV and WWE Network he will get pummeled into submission by Brock Lesnar, aka Bork Lazer. So here we go, the best of Bill Goldberg according to your local idiot, and wreddit banned writer, me.

11. Bill Goldberg vs. The Giant WCW Nitro December 1998

Bill Goldberg wrestled a much more agile Big Show. He was called The Giant, and he was great. Goldberg was not just plowing through The Giant on this night. He faced off against The Giant and was getting beat down fast. Goldberg was getting pummeled, and even got hit with the Chokeslam, and despite that, Goldberg still found a way to bounce back. The best part of this match wasn’t just that the Giant was chopped down, but that he picked him up and hit the jackhammer, and the crowd went ballistic. This match’s winner was to go and face Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1998.

10. Bill Goldberg vs. Saturn WCW Spring Stampede April 1998

Saturn did quite well against Goldberg if you ask me. He even put the big man in the Rings of Saturn, which I marked out huge for. He was able to wiggle his way out, and eventually overpower the flock’s lieutenant at arms. In this quick on, Goldberg contrasted well with Saturn’s crisp offense. Kidman got involved at one point, and got thrown into Saturn which was a nice touch. Goldberg also did a few more moves here than usual. The crowd really makes this match. They were so hot, that when things started to really turn around, they were completely in awe. Saturn’s timing is great, the middle rope turning leg drop was classic Saturn. This was NOT a burial, and I loved it.

9. Bill Goldberg Vs. Raven from WCW Nitro April 1998

The night before at Spring Stampede 1998, you’ll find that Raven took on DDP in one of the best U.S Title matches in the world. The night after, Raven was put in against Bill Goldberg. In this match, Raven tried to leave the match completely, and was pushed back into the ring by the fans! Goldberg and Raven put on a show, even if the match was somewhat short. The crowd was going insane, the Flock came in to interfere, and Goldberg managed to win the United States Championship, and rock the WCW even more. The crowd goes absolutely nuts here, and the match was one of the highlights of Nitro for me, ever!

8. Goldberg vs. Kevin Nash Starrcade 1998

This was not a burial. You have to remember that leading up to this match, Goldberg was starting to get booed. People were getting tired of his nonstop super hero persona. Nash booked himself to win, but not clean. It wasn’t clean at all. They threw the sink at Goldberg and it was Scot Hall with a tazer that caused Goldberg to lose the title, and it was great if you ask me. The crowd went nuts for the whole thing, and the next month, Goldberg and Hall put on a show for sure. This was a good one, not a great one, but good enough for this list.

7. Goldberg vs. Bret Hart WCW Starrcade 1999

Despite what people say about Hart’s concussion, if you look at the match, it wasn’t like a Ghetto Blaster or anything. Goldberg went for a standard savat kick, and Hart didn’t catch it. I firmly put the blame on the size of the WCW rings. If this match happened in WWE, Goldberg would have more room to throw that kick, and Hart wouldn’t have taken it off the corner of the head like he did. Furthermore, just a half step slower and the kick could’ve been ducked and Hart could’ve chop blocked Bill onto his back. Whatever the case is, this was a good match leading to the ending, which was weird. I loved this one, and had the VHS copy, and this match still holds up well for me.

6. Goldberg vs. The Rock WWE Backlash 2003

Goldberg showed up and immediately feuded with the returning Rock. The Rock and Goldberg did a good job putting on a match for WWE Backlash 2003. I was excited, and the rest of the WWE universe was excited too. This was a great showcase of fast paced wrestling, and psychology used by the Rock. Then again, a paper bag would look great against the Rock, right? Good match, and great way to introduce Goldberg to WWE.

5. Goldberg vs. Triple H WWE Unforgiven 2003

Goldberg and Triple H in a single match? Yep. Not only did this match go longer than most of the matches on this list, it was perhaps one of the harder hitting matches that Triple has been in. Triple H knew how to make Goldberg look strong, and therefore he was thrown through a lot of big power moves, similar to when he fought Steiner and got suplexed a million times. This was a better paced, faster moving match, and Goldberg wasn’t made to look weak. Triple H introduced the Sledgehammer, Jim Ross made this match sound so great as well. Triple H was busted open, the crowd went nuts for the finish, and it was a good overall match if you ask me. Triple H really led Goldberg to one hell of a world heavyweight title match. Jim Ross’s calls made this even better, great stuff folks.

4. Goldberg Vs. Scott Steiner WCW Fall Brawl 2000

When I first heard about this, I was surprised. I ended up watching it and was delighted by the way that this match went. Scott Steiner and Goldberg beat the holy hell out of each other in one of the stiffest matches that I’ve seen. This was stiff, it had a lot of hard shots, and Steiner and Goldberg both gave it as much as they took, and they didn’t back down. Steiner’s end WCW run was definitely one of the highlights for me, as he was made to look like a serious monster, and he took out some seriously credible dudes. This wasn’t a bad match, and I think it was a highlight on the show.

3. Bill Goldberg vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Title July 1998

Regardless of whether or not you think that this was a mistake to put it on free tv, this was one hell of a match. Goldberg wasn’t just going to roll through Hogan. Hogan got a lot of back and forth here. He even hit the leg drop, and was all over the challenger. You have to remember that DDP, Hennig, and Karl Malone were a distraction for Hogan on the outside. But the place went absolutely insane when he picked up Hogan for the jackhammer and won the world title. You haven’t seen an explosion quite like this one, even in WWF. The crowd was absolutely insane, and the match was really good to watch. I miss the era where the fans would throw crap into the ring. This really made Goldberg amazing in my book.

2. Bill Goldberg vs. Scott Hall (Stun Gun Match) Souled Out January 1999

This was not a squash. I thought it was going to be. You have to remember that just 1 month ago, WCW Starrcade 1998 led to Goldberg’s first major loss against Kevin Nash. You have to remember that in this match, Goldberg had a bad wheel, with a knee brace on. Scott Hall targeted the knee, and this match lasted quite a bit for the main event. Even so, there was a lot of back and forth, with Goldberg selling the left leg quite well at times, and then sucking it up to do power moves. Hall was a psychological beast in this match, and it led to one hell of a finish. There was a blood, there was interference from none other than The Disco Inferno! Scott Hall was climbing up the ladder at one point and the crowd was going nuts because he got the Stun Gun, but that is not how you won this one, you had to zap your opponent. The best part about this match was how the finish occurred. Goldberg threw the Stun Gun (stick) into the air, and hit Scott Hall with a huge spear, and eventually won this match. You have to hear the crowd erupt when he finally hits Hall, the guy that cost him the title, with the spear and the stun gun! Holy crap, this was good. After the match Bam Bam Bigelow showed up to set up the next feud, but this match was a lot better than people remember.

1. Goldberg vs. DDP Halloween Havoc 1998

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this match? This is one of the best matches that Goldberg has ever had, and even though they did it again a year later, this is the one that really had people believing that anything was possible. DDP nearly had Goldberg beat, and the crowd was all over the place. I know the original broadcast went over, but I had the VHS tape and it’s on the WWE Network. You’re going to be stunned by how good this match is, and it definitely had the fans completely split at how good this one was. The whole event was great, to be honest.

A Better VHS Experience: WCW World War 3 1997 Results and Review

World War 3 - 1997 Results and Review - A Better VHS Experience
The Palace of Auburn Hills was the home for this event in 1997. The big jump that WCW was gaining in popularity was evident here. This venue was coming from Auburn Hills, Michigan, and there were 17,128 people jam packed in the building for this event. This had a total of 9 matches, and it really showcased how powerful the WCW brand started to get.

I used to have the VHS edition of WCW World War 3 1997, and the original recording from the PPV. I can tell you that there are a lot of musical edits, as well as sign edits that the WWE has put on the Network. If you want to see the unedited version of this, you should buy the VHS tape here.

Here are the quick results, and then I’ll go into the review of the wrestling.

WCW World War 3 Review

Here we go, the event was one of the highlights of WCW’s 1997 year. Of course, on the opposite side of wrestling, you had the WWF putting on a show known as Survivor Series in which they completely screwed over Bret Hart, but hey, that’s their thing, and this is the WCW version. Let’s talk WCW and this event that went down.

The Faces of Fear defeated Glacier and Ernest Miller

I may be one of the only idiots that liked Glacier. Yes, he was a gimmick that was ripped from Mortal Kombat, but that wasn’t a bad thing. He had some stellar wrestling moves, and was far better than Ernest Miller. The Faces of Fear were always grand in my book, and Meng was still in his prime before getting injured by Bill Goldberg. The Barbarian was slowing down, but overall this wasn’t a bad match. There was a lot of power moves and eventually the Faces of Fear got the big win.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Perry Saturn defeated Disco Inferno (WCW Television Title Match)

Perry Saturn was a very unique wrestler and it showed here with Disco Inferno. Disco is always a character, but he did put on some good matches here and there. This was a good one, but it was Perry Saturn’s unique offense that got the win. Saturn won with the rings of Saturn from what I remember, but overall, this match was well timed, and on the button. Saturn and Disco’s timing was great here, and I definitely enjoyed the match.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Yuji Nagata defeated Ultimo Dragon

If you’re not a pure wrestling fan, then you aren’t going to like this match. At the time Ultimo Dragon was feuding with his manager Sony Onoo and Nagata was taking Ultimo’s place in the Asian wrestling stable that was in WCW. Yuji Nagata was the heel, and Dragon was playing off of his strong style. Dragon was great here, and Nagata’s strong style, mixed with some clever counters made this match really strong. The fans didn’t get it at first, but over time they started to get into it and the ending was a shocker, with Ultimo falling short thanks to Sonny Onoo’s constant nagging outside.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

The Steiner Brothers defeated The Blue Bloods (WCW Tag Team Title Match)

This was a hard-hitting match, with The Steiner Brothers working very stiff with Regal and Taylor. I liked it, the fans seemed to get a kick out of the Steiners, and the match was not too long. You’re not going to get a technical masterpiece here, but The Blue Bloods do have enough heat to make you invest a little bit of your attention into this match up. The Steiners were definitely a great team at one point, so don’t just judge them by their solo runs.

Check out WCW World War 3 1997 VHS Tape, by purchasing it here!

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Raven defeated Scotty Riggs (Raven’s Rules Match)

JJ Dillon came out and announced that Raven had to decide whether or not he was going to sign a WCW contract. He hadn’t yet, in story line. Well this match featured some nice hits, and Riggs was definitely a good foil for Raven. The match was hard hitting as it was No DQ and it eventually saw Riggs get beat down to the point where he was knocked out solid. I loved the drop toe hold to a steel chair, and the fact that Riggs sold the gimmick by wearing an eye patch. At the end of the match, the flock picked up Riggs and went out of the arena through the crowd. I loved Raven’s WCW Run.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Steve McMichael defeated Alex Wright

I miss Alex Wright. I liked the stupid dance, and then Kaz, and the other dancing idiots. This wasn’t much of a match. McMichael was underrated if you ask me, and he won this without a ton of action. It was a fun in between.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Eddie Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. (WCW Cruiserweight Championship Match)

People always cite the original match, but this is one is my personal favorite. Rey Mysterio and Eddy (as I read it) put on another great match. This time around, Eddie was wrestling a hard style on this one. Instead of flying around, Mysterio was grounded, and Guerrero was attacking ribs, legs, and grounding the little guy. There were a few moments that showed Mysterio selling injuries from Nitro and previous matches. If you liked the Halloween Havoc match, then you will like this one for sure. Without Eddie trying to break Mysterio’s mask, this match really took on a whole new world. Again, people like to cite the Halloween Havoc match as their best, but this was definitely a great sequel to a great match. More people should mention this one, especially with Eddie’s psychology focusing on body parts of Mysterio rather than just trying to do the same thing he did at Halloween Havoc. Great moments, that led to a false finish, and eventual win by Eddie Guerrero! Great match, and one of the best in the cruiserweight division ever! Killer frog splash for the win, and the constant Eddie Sucks chants, great stuff here. Mysterio put on a valiant effort, but man, Eddie was on fire here.

Match Rating: 5 out of 5

Curt Hennig defeated Ric Flair (NO DQ WCW U.S. Title Match)

Two guys that are legends in wrestling faced off over the United States title on this show. How could these guys follow up a stellar cruiserweight match? Well, psychology my dear friends, some great overall booking in this match up. Hennig and Flair put on a show of chops, reversals, suplexes, and a great overall ending. In the end, Ric Flair slapped on the Figure Four and looked to be winning the title, but Hennig used the belt, which was in the ring to knock his old ass out, and then get the win. This had the crowd going crazy, and for me, this was a great booking decision, a desperation move that made this rad.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Scott Hall won World War 3 after eliminating The Giant

This was a great one. Scott Hall was getting beat down, and a lot of different wrestlers were part of the last 10, 6, and 4 and then it was The Giant and Scott Hall! The crowd erupted, and then Sting came down from the rafters, going absolutely ape, only to find out that it was KEVIN NASH! Oh man, great ending to a good overall show. For those that aren’t familiar with World War 3, it’s a 60 man battle royal.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

As far as WCW shows are concerned, World War 3 is a great example of a great show amidst a bad show versus the WWF. Yes, the Montreal Screw Job occurred in WWF in the same month, but this show was better all around. I loved it. I didn’t like the screw job, and didn’t think that show had a lot to it, but this one, had a lot of wrestling, great moments, and overall stellar match ups in the final 3 matches.

My recommendation is that you purchase the VHS tape of this, and NOT watch it on the WWE Network. You will find that there are subtle edits, changes in the music, and a lot of cuts that weren’t supposed to be there. But hey, that’s just my two cents.

The Raw Women’s Team Cooperating Is Illogical

Yes, That's Bayley and Sasha Banks Saving Charlotte (The Woman They Supposedly Hate)
Hey there, did you catch Smackdown? Did you see what I saw? Did you see the Raw team invade Smackdown. I’m of course talking about the women’s division jumping the Smackdown Women. Nromally this would be grand, but let’s take a second to recognize the fact that there’s a big gap in logic. But it’s wrestling you may ask, of course, but I have time on my hands, and so do you, so listen up and let me inquire a bit.

The Raw Women’s Champion Has Friends?

On Raw, we’ve been hearing about Charlotte and how she’s the best, and how she doesn’t like Sasha or Bayley. But who comes out first to save her when getting beat up by none other than the Queen of Strong Style, Nikki Bella? Sasha Banks! What happened to being the boss? What does she care of Charlotte gets beat down?

Ok, what if she does fight. What about Bayley? Bayley shows up and fights the women too?! The Hugger? Nia Jax comes in as well and she is defending the Raw girls? What the hell?

Let’s go back to the Lethal Lottery in WCW. That was when some bad guys would get teamed up with some good guys. Some guys like Ric Flair would get teamed up with Randy Savage and Sting. What would happen when he got the hot tag? Boom, he’d turn. He wouldn’t even do any moves against the other team, he’d turn, beat up Savage or Sting, and the run away like a good heel. Not here. Nope. Instead we get illogical booking about the Survivor Series.

Oh, and remember, Bragging Rights? Well here you go, get it on Blu Ray and find out what happened the last time Team Raw and Team Smackdown fought in the brand split. What a joke. What a damn joke.

I did like King Booker, though. Good stuff.

WWE Smackdown Live November 15, 2016 Results and Review The Rated B Show

Expect One Last Ride For The WWE Title
For only 1 hour and 21 minutes, this episode of Smackdown Live proves yet again why it is in fact the B-Show. It’s not an A show, but then again, Raw wasn’t exactly the most thrilling 2 plus hours either. Let’s just call this what it is, the equivalent of WCW Thunder! That’s right, I said it. Wreddit readers can go suck a lemon, idiots. Here are my thoughts on this show, since I sat through it and ate breakfast.

WWE Smackdown Live November 15, 2016 Review

The Miz def. Dolph Ziggler to win the Intercontinental Championship

This was an outstanding display of what a great opening match can be. I didn’t mind the logic gap at times, because the two were going as fast as they could from transitional elements to power moves. I liked it. It wasn’t a long match, but it sufficed to do exactly what I said would happen, give the heel champion a way into the ppv. Dolph Ziggler should go do anything else, if you ask me. The Miz getting the title is a nice nod, and if you ask me, will most likely lose it to Sami Zayn, who needs a title right now.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Kalisto def. Oney Lorcan

Two irrelevant wrestlers put on a fast match with nothing worth mentioning. Only Lorcan or is it Orney? I don’t know. The worst name that the WWE has come up with versus one of the worst promo guys in the industry. Not only that, Kalisto is from Chicago, not Mexico. This match sucked, simple as that.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Nikki Bella vs. Carmella ends in a No Contest

Not a bad match at all, but of course the Raw women showed up and caused problems. No, I take that back. Nikki beat up Charlotte without provocation, which prompted all the Raw girls to jump Nikki. Then for whatever reason, Carmella joined in to help Nikki! What the hell? Why? Why would Carmella, someone that hates Nikki stop a beat down? This made no sense. The cool spot, of course, was Nia Jax going through the barricade, which was rad, but other than that, this made no logical sense on either side of the coin.

Match Rating: 0 out of 5

American Alpha, The Hype Bros, The Usos & Breezango def. The Spirit Squad, The Vaudevillains, The Ascension & The Headbangers – 16-Man Tag Team Match

If you had to go to the bathroom, this was the one to go with. The crowd wanted Rhyno, but he wasn’t in the match. This was jobbers versus semi-jobbers, and it wasn’t that fun. I guess if you were there live and had a hot dog and beer, maybe it would’ve been more exciting.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Edge hosted “The Cutting Edge” with Team SmackDown LIVE

I was very surprised when the Cutting Edge show was the end of the show and that’s it. This was literally the end of Smackdown, and I was surprised to see such little amounts of wrestling on the show. I forgot what I was watching, because this sucked up a lot of the time. Edge hosted a lackluster show, and out came the Undertaker. Not a great ending.

Smackdown Live Final Thoughts

Smackdown was a horrible show, with 1 good match. The ending was interesting in that it sets up The Undertaker versus Aj Styles at the Royal Rumble, if you ask me. Of course, you didn’t ask me. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ambrose, Styles, and Undertaker put on a showcase leading to a Final 4 type match for Roadblock or Elimination Chamber.

If I’m going to fantasy book, let’s consider 1997 for a moment. I could see a final 4 in the Rumble being John Cena, Undertaker, Dean Ambrose, and Brock Lesnar. No clear winner found or something happens to be controversial, leading to a final four match in February and the ultimate winner being John Cena. The same thing that happened with the Final Four IYH ppv in which the results of the 1997 rumble led to a quality match to see who would face off in the main event at Wrestlemania 13.

Either way, Smackdown was awful, and that was that. Another week of wrestling done and done.

Brown Shoeman Looks Weak Against Shane McMahon

Brown Shoeman Is Weak Versus Shane McMahon
This past week on Raw, Brown Shoeman was in the ring and caught a beat down from Shane McMahon, as he was taken out of the ring. Now, the logic of this is absolutely stupid.

Brown Shoeman is Wreddit’s poster child. They love him. He can do no wrong. I got called a stupid idiot on that board so much, I finally quit and walked away. So much so that I’m now writing all my lame ass opinions on this blog, since the internet wrestling community doesn’t really like me, like the rest of the world.

There’s a reason why I’m a loner with no friends, but let’s get back on topic.

Brown Shoeman has been booked to be a monster, no problem. However, when he gets tossed out of the ring by Shane McMahon, a non-wrestler, he looks weak. He should be the “monster”, right? Not the guy that can easily be taken out by a few shots, and then out you go buddy.

I found that to be weak.

All monsters will eventually get buried. Mark my words people, Brown Shoeman will get buried sooner than later, just like all the monsters that the WWE has tried to create beforehand. At one point or another burials occur, and it’s going to be great for me to see it happen, especially after Reddit’s wrestling area basically threw me out.

Sometimes I wish I had friends that liked wrestling, instead of just writing this blog that no one reads. Perhaps a podcast, but then again, it’s a lonely life for people without a popular opinion, isn’t it?

So here you go, if you're going to buy WWE crap, you can do so by clicking here and helping this blog start a podcast. If not, oh well.

WWE Monday Night Raw November 14, 2016 Results and Review Wreddit Absolutely Sucks

You Gotta Let Roman Look Strong, Always
Here we go, I’m back again on schedule and I’m absolutely mad. I was basically banned from Reddit, and I finally gave up on my second account. Right when I was starting to make traction as a member of the internet wrestling community, I received a lot of negative comments because I didn’t like Braun Strowman. I call him Brown Shoeman, and well, you just can’t make fun of someone anymore.

I also got railroaded because I said that Joey Styles and Dave Chapelle did the same thing. They both made jokes about Trumps commentary, and one was fired, the other was praised. I was told I was an idiot, and that I don’t listen and that I’m stupid. I just want to also say that I know what “they let you means”. No one mentions that. Trump said, “they let you”, but oh no, oh no, he’s deplorable. Ok, I’m the idiot. I don’t give a crap. I’m not a part of the internet wrestling community, I’m a professional blogger, and that’s where I stay, here on this site and what not. Wreddit can go to hell, and if you’re a fan of that forum, you are going on THE LIST!

WWE Raw Review November 14, 2016

I’ve been able to watch the full edition of Raw because I have been watching things on Youtube instead of cable or Hulu. I like the condensed, no commercial version of the show. People keep saying that this is a 3 hour show, but it’s not. Today, I saw the full show at around 1 hour 57 minutes, which means that you suckers out there watching it live, are watching 1 hour of commercials, not me. Here we go, a rundown of what happened, and my thoughts, which are not good enough for the internet wrestling community.

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens & U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. Cesaro & Sheamus

This match was not half bad. I liked the pace and the wrestling overall. However, I will say that I did not like the logic. Why would Kevin Owens be friendly with Roman Reigns? Stephanie is not really going to fire him, and why should he care about this? They had a few moments of strife in the match, but it was Roman that looked strong here and throughout the night. Owens got knocked out, and Reigns dragged him to the cover and he got the pinfall win. But let’s be clear, Roman Reigns never looked weak on this show, because WWE still wants to shove him down our throats.

Remember this much guys. There was a time when the champion and others that were bad guys didn’t get along with the good guys. I want to cite Ric Flair and Randy Savage at Slamboree 1996. As soon as Flair got tagged in to an uproarious crowd, he punched Savage and left him for dead. The same happened to Sting. Reigns should’ve been beat down by Owens and Jericho, because they don’t like him, and they are heels! What the hell is with this damn logic? Cesaro and Sheamus work well enough together, but another loss? Ok, sure.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Sami Zayn def. Bo Dallas

For a moment, I thought that the WWE would do the right thing and bring up Bo Dallas to more than jobber status. Nope. Sami Zayn won a simple match. It was fast paced, but let’s not kid anyone, this was another burial for Bo Dallas. Zayn blew him up, and that was that. Zayn will take on Ziggler, in a face versus face match, unless The Miz gets the title on Smackdown.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho & Brown Shoeman def. Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day

Once again, logic. Why would Jericho get along with Rollins and Shoeman? Why would Seth Rollins, the guy that said he wanted to burn Raw to the ground be good with the other two? Why would Brown Shoeman work together with these guys as well? Seriously, why? This makes no sense, but hey, they ended up working together and got the pinfall on the tag team champions. The New Day take a lot of pins, and it makes no sense, but hey, that’s WWE for you.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick def. Sin Cara

The cruiserweights should move to Smackdown, because this is a stupid showcase. This is a boring, boring division and it showed here. Sin Cara got buried, let’s be honest. Since he fought Jericho on a bus, and Kendrick gets a little bit of applause, this went on. It was boring, and it sucked, no one cared.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Goldberg and Brock Lesnar faced off

This made no sense. Nothing really happened here. The match this weekend will be interesting, but it’s going to be another burial of Goldberg.

So here you go, if you're going to buy WWE crap, you can do so by clicking here and helping this blog start a podcast. If not, oh well.

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Sasha Banks def. Nia Jax & Alicia Fox

This was ok, but again, why would Banks wrestle with Charlotte if she hates her? Seriously. Why? She should not tag in. Charlotte should attack Banks or just leave her to get beat. Nope. This doesn’t make sense. Don Tony and Kevin Castle on their podcast also commented on how weird this match felt, and the rest of the night as well. I’m with their opinion, this was awkward as hell.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Enzo Amore, Big Cass, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Golden Truth & The Shining Stars

Logic once again. Why? Why would the Club Sandwhich boys fight here? Why would they not just walk away? They should walk away and let Enzo and Cass handle this. The Golden Truth and The Shining Stars took another loss, because they are jobbers!

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Team SmackDown LIVE confronted Team Raw

This is where logic all fell out for me. Why are they working together? Seriously. I am a long time fan of The Survivor Series and the WCW Lethal Lotteries. When you put bad guys and good guys on the same team, they do not act friendly, they do not participate, they are bad. The bad guys are the wild card, they may or may not fight, they just may not. That’s the wild card. Not here. Here, there are no faces, there are no heels, there is no good guy and no bad guy. Oh well.

No One Messes With Roman Reigns

Raw overall was a bad show. There wasn’t a lot to it in my opinion. Leading up to Survivor Series, there’s no wild cards, there’s no question marks, there’s just this rivalry that looks a lot like the Brand Split series that they would do in the past. I guarantee that this is going to be a fun show, but it’s illogical, it’s absolutely going to give Smackdown another push since they are the B show.

The end of the show was an ode to Roman Reigns. If you watched the show, consider the fact that Reigns was the one that looked strongest. He hit super man punches, and all sorts of things, and aligned with Rollins (which doesn’t make sense), and is left looking strong. Reigns getting the push is odd, but hey, why not? At some point they have to turn him heel, they have to. I just don’t get it. Raw sucked. Roman Reigns looked better than Owens, expect him to win the title within the next few months.

So here you go, if you're going to buy WWE crap, you can do so by clicking here and helping this blog start a podcast. If not, oh well.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results October 31, 2016 Results and Review The Boredom Continues

Monday Night Raw showed up yet again to bore us for 3 hours. Actually, I watched the Youtube option. It was only 2 hours and 8 minutes long. I’m awesome.

Paul Heyman and Rusev confronted Goldberg
Enzo Amore def. Luke Gallows in a Trick or Street Fight

Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander & Lince Dorado def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari
Nia Jax def. Bayley
Cesaro & Sheamus def. The Shining Stars
U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. Chris Jericho via Disqualification

WWE Monday Night Raw Review October 31, 2016

Since I watched the whole show, let’s discuss things in brief, since I’m not going to go longwinded on something that was so awful.

Paul Heyman and Rusev confronted Goldberg

Rusev sucks. I said it. Ok, he doesn’t, but he certainly should’ve been selling his injuries from Hell in A Cell, right? He wasn’t. Instead he got in Goldberg’s face, and got a jackhammer for his troubles. Then Heyman got a spear for jacking his jaw, and that was that. Golbderg is ok, I guess. I miss the WCW version circa 1997 – 1999, even if he did knock out Hart.

Enzo Amore def. Luke Gallows in a Trick or Street Fight

I loved this match. I love these matches, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Even though a lot of podcasts buried this, I didn’t. I thought it was fun, and I love how Gallows and Anderson worked in this one. Enzo and Cass were fun too, but this match was just a ball to see. I loved it, even if it wasn’t the most technical.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

TJ Perkins def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick via Count-out

Brian Kendrick is the smartest champion I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve always said that the heel champions should not want to fight fair, and figure out a way to keep the title on their waists, even if it means looking cowardly. This was just smart. Perkins got outsmarted, simple as that.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Braun Strowman won a Battle Royal to qualify for the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Snow man wins. I don’t care for it.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander & Lince Dorado def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

The after thought of the show is really turning into another Divas type showcase. These guys are good, but I feel like we already saw this at the PPV.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Nia Jax def. Bayley

Bayley sucks on Raw. Simple as that. She’s not nearly on the level of Charlotte or Sasha Banks. Nia Jax finished her fast, and that was that. Nia Jax versus Charlotte makes sense to me.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Cesaro & Sheamus def. The Shining Stars

I was yawning throughout this.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns def. Chris Jericho via Disqualification

I was rooting for Jericho. Reigns sucks, and he was set to win this until Owens interfered and cost him the match. Rollins came out for the save, but why? Why would Seth Rollins care of Reigns is getting beat up? It makes no sense. This will no doubt lead to a tag match, I’m sure.

Raw sucked yet again. It’s a boring affair, and don’t think Smackdown was any better, it wasn’t. This was just awful, with a few sprinkles of fun.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2016 Results and Review The Best Women’s Match In History

Hell In A Cell 2016 was held in Boston. I wanted to go, but didn’t get a chance to save up enough money and get there. Oh well. The show had 16,119 fans at the TD Garden, and it featured some excellent wrestling, and some not so excellent wrestling as well. Here are my thoughts on the show, as I saw it on Monday after the initial broadcast.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2016 Results

Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado and Sin Cara defeated Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari
Roman Reigns defeated Rusev (HIAC US TITLE MATCH)
Bayley defeated Dana Brooke
The Club Sandwich Boys defeated Enzo and Cass
Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins (HIAC WWE Universal Title Match)
The Brian Kendrick defeated T.J. Perkins for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The New Day via DQ (Tag Team Championship Match)
Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks (HIAC Women’s Championship Match)

WWE Hell In A cell 2016 Review

Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado and Sin Cara defeated Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari

A good overall opener with lots of high flying, and classic moves. I love the division, I just hate how WWE is booking this thing. When you look back at how WCW worked their cruisewerights, you noticed that they weren’t a different part of the show, they were part of it, and more than just openers. Just look back at events like World War 3 1997, and Superbrawl, and you’ll see that they were not treated like different entities, but rather part of the greater WCW good.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Roman Reigns defeated Rusev (HIAC US TITLE MATCH)

These two guys beat the holy hell out of each other. Rusev really put the boots to Roman, but he was playing the role of Super Man, because he won. I didn’t like the finish, and some of the spots didn’t make sense since Roman has a chest protector on. Other than that, this match was fine, and 24 minutes wasn’t half bad, but with no blood, and super human wins, Reigns once again turns into the Samoan John Cena. The fact that he wasn’t selling his injuries made me mad, but hey, that’s WWE logic for you right?

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Bayley defeated Dana Brooke

I think the WWE has dropped the ball with Dana Brooke and Bayley. I think that Dana should pick up a few more wins, and do so by cheating, but that’s just me. Bayley is ok, but she’s nowhere near as good as she was in NXT, and the WWE is failing to capture the magic that I have seen from her time and time again.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

The Club Sandwich Boys defeated Enzo and Cass

The Club Sandwich boys finally win a match. This wasn’t a terrible match by any means, and it was a fun romp, with a win for the Club Sandwich guys. Overall, not a bad showing, but nothing really to write about here.

Match Rating: 2 out of 5

Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins (HIAC WWE Universal Title Match)

Perhaps one of the better matches I’ve seen in the cell, but without blood, I have to question the overall substance. Even without the blood, I think that this was a great performance, with the sole exception of Seth Rollins selling the back injury on and off. His back should hurt, so why is he dead lifting fat ass Kevin Owens? Seriously?! I thought his back hurt? Oh well. Chris Jericho getting involved, outsmarting everyone and beating down Rollins is great, and Owens winning makes a lot of sense if you ask me. Fat Ass Kevin Owens wins again.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

The Brian Kendrick defeated T.J. Perkins for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

The crowd was completely dead for this, and rightfully so. Don’t get me wrong, T.J. Perkins is an absolutely amazing wrestler, but no one knows who he is or why he’s the champion, unless they saw the CWC. I think that the majority of fans that watch WWE on a weekly basis, did not. I did, but they didn’t. Despite all the talent, he’s lost on a lot of people, and this match showed. Kendrick wins, and that’s all she wrote. Kendrick’s sly move of pretending he was hurt was good story telling, for an otherwise forgettable match.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The New Day via DQ (Tag Team Championship Match)

For a moment, I thought for sure that The New Day was going to lose. Cesaro and Sheamus have perfect timing in the ring and put on an entertaining round up within their 11 minutes of time. I loved it. I thought the match was great, and the timing was even better, only to get a DQ finish. Oh well. The new Day loses, but not the championship belts.

Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks (HIAC Women’s Championship Match)

Here we go, one of the best women’s title matches I’ve ever seen in my life. In fact, it was a grand showcase. I did have a little bit of a gripe with the opening, in which I thought Sasha Banks was legitimately hurt by going through the announcers table. But she made it to the ring, and fought Charlotte tooth and nail. I love the story here. Banks’s back was going to give out, it was just a matter of when, and where. Well, it finally gave out when she was being rag dolled on the table by Charlotte, and it was amazing. I love the ending, and thought it was great story telling to finally have her gas out, back hurt, and dead in order for Charlotte to win. The only thing that would have made this better was if Charlotte or Sasha had blood. Even fake blood would work. The iconic image of having one of them wiping blood from their mouths or nose, or bloody hand prints on the mat would be great, showing that they are in a bitter blood feud. Charlotte’s entrance was great. I loved this match and really enjoyed the overall show that they put on.

My overall thoughts on Hell In A Cell For 2016 are simple, it was a good show. It wasn’t great throughout, but it held my attention for the most part. I really loved the last match, and really thought that Charlotte and Sasha Banks put on a showcase for the immortals. I really loved the ending, and the idea that Banks was just gassed out and her back had finally given out. I loved the monkey flip into the cage, the table breaks, the rag doll finish, and Charlotte’s tears as she won the title and proved that she’s seriously the best women’s wrestler in the world, that’s that. Oh and I really enjoyed Fat Ass Kevin Owens winning his match as well. Good stuff from WWE for a change.
