The show is promised to be a bloodbath by the deep voiced announcer. They start the show by telling us that there will be a glass table tonight. The show opens with a ton of interviews and random mic segments, and if this is a sign of things to come, we’re in for a lot of boredom. Seriously tna, stop all the talking and get to wrestling!
Roxxi defeated Jacqueline Traci Brooks (served as Special Referee) Bimbo Brawl
I might be alone on this one, but I like these hardcore women’s matches. I grew up watching ECW on public access television and used to love the way they were violent. This match was like the old ECW and while there was a lot of plunder, there was also a lot of great wrestling spots. Roxxi won this match up and it while it wasn’t a technical classic, it had enough spots to allow for a good match up. It was fast and easy, and for a woman’s match, it was nice to see the knockouts show that they are tough. Roxxi won with what I believe they called it a voodoo drop. It looked cool. Roxxi won, and it wasn’t half bad.
Christian & Rhino Interview Segment:
Christian talks about random crap. I hated this, because the announcers didn’t even talk about the knockouts after Roxxi got the win, they just kind of went to the back. This is stupid. This helps no one, these interviews are just stupid to me. At least there’s a blonde, she’s kind of hot.
JB & Val Segment:
The Prince Justice League has found the ring! That’s all that matters to anyone.
Sonjay Dutt defeated Curry Man
I love Curry Man’s entrance, his dancing is infectious! The camera’s moving is awesome too! This match seemed really short, and Curry Man loses another match up. Sonjay cheats to win the end, and this match really never got developed fully. So Cal Val came down and asked for the ring, and Dutt tried to leave. Shark Boy showed up and gave Dutt a beat down, and the guru couldn’t leave at all. The ring was located and the justice league gave it to Dutt. Val then starts yelling, man, her voice is so annoying!
Team 3D Interview Segment:
This was stupid too, I’m not sure why the TNA company needs more segments like this that do nothing but ramble and bore.
Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed defeated The Motor City Machine Guns
This was an interesting match up, and once again I have to question what wrestling bookers are thinking. I know that they need to put Creed over for the big ppv, but does it have to come at the expense of a real tag team? The Machine Guns once again lose, and the match wasn’t all that great. It seemed a bit too fast for me, and right when things started to get interesting, Consequences Creed gets the win with a quick roll up. There was a lot of high spots in this one, so if you’re a fan of spot fests, you’d probably enjoy this match. I really feel that they are going nowhere with their tag division, and I don’t believe that any established tag team, working together, should lose to two opponents that were just thrown together for the match up. Other than that, this match was good.
Karen’s Angle Segment:
This was lame. It got nowhere, and they just accused Karen of cheating, and Frank Trigg got all crazy.
Kurt Angle Interview Segment:
This was stupid. Angle mouthed off about AJ and how he slept with his wife, and I don’t know, I started to doze off.
LAX, Rhino & Christian Cage defeated Beer Money Inc & Team 3-D
This match was really cool at first, it was getting off to a great start. LAX is awesome, and can really move! However, Team 3-D looked really tired, and the match started to breakdown, and eventually just ended with a quick win. After the match Johnny Devine came out with a kendo stick, and then brought a glass cage. A Fake Glass Cage, as I noted way earlier when Christian got sent through one of these things. They picked up Homicide and threw him straight through a Glass Table, and for a glass table that is suppose to hurt, there was no blood at all! Oh well. This match had all the potential, but it just sort of ended, and after the table spot, people just left. Meaning, the wrestlers just went to the back and that was it. For such a big moment, I would think that the wrestlers would have stayed, but nope…it was nothing of the sort, they just ran off.
Taylor Wilde Rough Cut:
They show Taylor Wilde and her early moments in wrestling, as well as other female wrestlers talking about her. This is boring to me. Once again they talk to Hugh Morris! That was kind of cool, but overall, this sort of “shoot” interview isn’t very fun to me, and guess what? It’s NOT wrestling.
Awesome Kong defeated Salinas
This match sucked and proved nothing to me. Awesome Kong just hits the Awesome Bomb and pins her opponent. Why even waste time with this? Post Match was interesting, as The Beautiful People made fun of her. This is ok I guess, they are setting up a feud, but it seems like they’ve already set this up with the last few weeks of talk. Awesome Kong dropped Salinas with the implant buster, and if Salinas wasn’t knocked out before, she was after the implant buster. The rest of the LAX crew went to the hospital so they weren’t running out to help. But of course, Gail Kim runs down the ramp, and the rest of the knockouts come out to help, and we get a brawl!
The knockouts all brawl, and it’s just a huge melee. Taylor Wilde and Awesome Kong wrestle inside the ring and Awesome Kong shows how dominant she can be by knocking out Wilde, and right before she dropped Wilde onto a chair with another power bomb, Abyss comes out for no apparent reason! I guess he’s the savior or something? I don’t know.
Abyss hits the black hole slam on a security guard for no apparent reason.
King Booker Interview Segment:
Booker is still talking in his accent. He basically runs a promo saying that Joe can’t beat him. He called Sting Batman, that was cool.
Samoa Joe Interview Segment:
Joe starts rambling about how Sting is a coward and bores me. He doesn’t need this stupidity, and he doesn’t need to get over, he’s already over!

This match looked awesome on paper. The match started with Aj Styles and Kurt Angle with weapons, and they were really stiff. Angle hasn’t lost a step, but he looks to bear wearing some sort of sneaker, instead of wrestling boots. I miss his old wrestling boots from WWE. (I know, that sounds weird) Aj Styles brought out a ladder, and Angle relied heavily on a trash can for some leverage!
The next guys that came in were Matt Morgan and Tyson Tomko. The two don’t even do anything, they just run away through the back.
Angle and Styles make this match worth watching and really do put on a good show this week.
The former tag team champions, The New Age Outlaws, or the James Gang as you might know them as, came out and wrestle outside the ring. They really let Angle and Aj go at it. Angle looks to have ran into the ladder on accident, and didn’t look like he bladed or anything, this truly looked like an accident, and the replays show that Angle just didn’t duck low enough and really caught a hinge of the ladder! This was really interesting for sure!
Booker T and Samoa Joe came into the ring with weapons and Joe starts pounding away on Booker. Angle comes through and starts beating Joe, and this only makes AJ come back into things.
Apparently this was an elimination match? This seems really weird, but ok. If you get thrown over the top rope, you lose, so guys were getting eliminated during the break, and afterwards too.
The final match up in this match, whatever you want to call it, was with Tomko and Samoa Joe, but Tomko didn’t get much of a match up going, Joe dropped Tomko on his head, and got the pinfall.
An alright ending, and then Sting was in the rafters, to scare Joe.

There was a lot of different things going on in this match up. However, the show had a lot of unnecessary segments. That final match was ppv worthy, if it had more time and clearer rule set, I think this would have been way better but instead the ending seemed a little rushed.
Kurt Angle getting busted open the hard way was a nice touch and wasn’t something they planned; at least not from my perspective.
The rest of the night is somewhat forgettable, but it wasn’t terrible. I liked some of it, and it was way better than ECW.

TNA Impact Review 7/31/08 A hard Look At TNA
I’ve been reviewing TNA positively for a while now, so this time around I’m going to give it my best shot to look at it critically, and review the majority of the show, instead of segment by segment recaps. Follow along.
King Booker Segment:
Booker T’s wife is looking hot. Can I say that? Sure? He’s turning into his Royal T gimmick, which I kind of like. I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot of backstage and in ring segments on this show.
Beer Money defeated Rhino & Christian Cage to become the #1 Contenders for the Tag Championships
As far as tag team matches are concerned, this wasn’t too elaborate. I for one enjoyed watching the match, however, I couldn’t help but think that TNA is going the route of WWE by throwing together Christian and Rhino as competitors for the Tag Titles. Obviously, the outcome of this match changed the chances for them to get the title shots for winning the match, but they were close.
My problems with the current stage of tag team wrestling is not so much the matches themselves, or the people involved in them, as much as it is the way established tag teams are treated. It seems that no matter what, tag teams that are in unison somehow are treated like second rate wrestlers and we do not see them triumphant for more than a short time. I understand the ideas of pushing singles stars, but with so many teams just thrown together, into dream team situations, it just seems like a convoluted division of professional wrestling.
This match had Beer Money over with tons of interference from Team 3-D, pushing their feud a little further with Christian and Rhino. However, the cluster ending is just lame. Beer Money is looking good together, and the fact that Jackie is interfering with the ref, the match, and is causing trouble for the other team is genius. If only more teams could be like Beer Money in the way that they act in the ring, and how their manager works, we’d have a more worthwhile tag division in WWE and Tna as a whole. They need more tag teams that are dedicated to just that.
The Rock and Roll Infection Interview Segment
Christy Hemme has a HUGE forehead for such a little woman. She’s so annoying, and if that’s what she is going for, she has done it, because she is the most annoying manager of all pro wrestling, at least right now.
Curry Man, Shark Boy, and Jay Lethal defeated Johnny Devine, and The Rock and Roll Infection
Curry man’s gimmick is great. I could watch that entrance anytime. Other than that though, the “copy cat” gimmicks are stupid. I can’t believe that TNA doesn’t have the skills to have their own gimmicks, and they have to rely on copying and parodying old gimmicks from the WWE. I think that’s really stupid, but Curry Man, wow, that guy is awesome. I much prefer The Fallen Angel, and his wars with Samoa Joe for the X-Division title, but a good wrestler can do any gimmick and he’s really giving it all for the sake of this gimmick. I love that. Curry Man is the highlight of the match up. Jay Lethal pulled off the win, and looked quite well, but he’s not as good Macho Man, sorry. Macho Man just oozed it out for free, and didn’t go back to some regular dude. In fact, I’ve never seen Macho Man talk normal. He’s always in that over the top gimmick.

Lame. Who cares about this? Not me.
Super Erik Backstage:
He’s going to find So Cal Val’s ring.
Samoa Joe Parking Lot Segment:
Samoa Joe is waiting for Sting to show up, so that he can confront him.
Samoa Joe Locker Room Segment:
Nash and Joe are in the locker room arguing about Sting.
Samoa Joe & Booker T Segment:
Why waste time setting up the cage with plunder on it, and not use it? Joe gets beat down for being in the ring, than a bat comes into play, and we’re suppose to just get hyped over this feud? This is just stupid to me. This is dumb. These guys are at each others throat verbally, week in and week out, can’t they just brawl it out? Not only that, it makes Joe look like a weak dude, he’s constantly out smarted by Booker T, and Kevin Nash never seems to help him. Samoa Joe is almost like Chavo Guerrero, he has a bodyguard that never helps, he gets beat down every week for seemingly no reason, and he doesn’t have a legitimate match up until the ppv. Sound about right? What a waste of time.
AJ Styles In Ring Segment:
AJ wants to talk to Sting, he’s yelling and calling out the Stinger! The lights go out and AJ gets slammed, and he sells it like he’s never had a bump in his life. This is stupid too, talk about over reacting, I am not seeing the logic in this. AJ can not be possibly hurt, it was just a move! I’ve seen him take far worse and through tables, and yet the Olympic Slam is sold the same way a baseball bat to the back or a chair shot to the head would be sold. Stupid.
Locker Room Segment Curry Man & Shark Boy & The Beautiful People Segment:
The two super hero gimmicky wrestlers are looking for Val’s ring, and talk bad about the blondes, and I must admit those chicks, despite being annoying, are kind of hot to me. Except the act is really stupid, and I’d have to put a muzzle on them!
Big Petey Punp Segment:
Big Petey Pump is interviewed and he looks stupid. Why can’t TNA get real gimmicks or real wrestlers? He’s just a parody of Big Poppa Pump, and Petey Williams is too talented to look like this. Oh well.
***I must note the fact that we’re about one hour into the broadcast and we’ve had way more segments and interviews than wrestling. We have seen very little wrestling, and a lot of commercials for what seems to be no reason at all. At least The WWE allows for some more wrestling than segments sometimes, and they do not do segment, after segment, after segment, for about thirty minutes time. This is a great annoyance for me, and am fortunate enough to have DVR to fast forward through commercials.
Consequences Creed defeated Big Petey Pump
Creed is back and he’s moving on up right? Creed is a great new wrestler, I like his style, and his in ring abilities are amazing. Why didn’t WWE pick this guy up? He’s like Orlando Jordan, only faster, stronger, and way better in the ring. Or maybe Jordan just didn’t get a fair shake while in WWE and now who knows where he is? Petey Williams has always been a great athlete in my book, however, I just don’t like his look now, he’s just better as himself, rather than a clone of Scot Steiner. Creed wins again, in a non title match up, with a quick roll up. They’re really making his wins look like flukes, but I like the kid’s style, and he’s a great new wrestler in a scene that has a lot of parody and horrible gimmicky situational wrestlers.

Shark Boy and Curry Man accuse LAX of stealing Val’s ring.
AJ Styles Interview:
AJ Styles challenges Kurt Angle to a Last Man Standing match for the ppv. Wasn’t he dead? He took two Angle Slams and he is fine now? Whatever.
Karen’s Angle Segment:
This stupid segment goes again, and Kaz talks about TNA. This is supposed to be a shoot interview, and he seems to be quitting, but you know he’s not right? This is stupid. I don’t want to see this crap, get this piece of trash out of here. This is a stupid show, this is a stupid angle for Kaz and I want to see the set burned down. Where’s Kane? Someone call Kane and burn this mother down! Oh yeah, Tyson Tomko finally does something! He jumps in and trashes the set, and hopefully this is the end of the show!
Kevin Nash & Samoa Joe Locker Room Segment:
Joe looks so stupid to me. Always throwing his words around, and Kevin Nash is always sitting around doing nothing, just telling Joe not to do it. Wow! I wish I got paid to just show up for five minutes at a taping, and look goofy. What does Nash even do for TNA? What a load of crap. Fire that idiot, or make him wrestle, don’t just randomly leave him back stage to do nothing else but talk to Joe.
Matt “The Blueprint” Morgan defeated Some Random Jobber
This is stupid too. I am not a fan of Matt Morgan, and I’m tired of seeing him treated like a monster. He’s the antithesis of Koslov from the WWE. Koslov and Morgan are each on their own streaks. This time around the match looked like a Goldberg, WCW, match up, only Morgan has the charisma of a wet noodle. This is lame.
Morgan calls out Tomko, and the two start to go, but Security holds them back, and they go at it in the ring. Hopefully we get a real match up between the two, but not exactly a technical classic, that’s for sure. These two idiots can’t wrestle their way out of a paper bag.
The Super Hero’s Backstage Segment:
The Super Hero’s are backstage and they are still looking for the ring, and they randomly run off after saying that next week they are going to do something cool.
Team 3-D Interview Segment:
This is boring. Another segment on TNA? IS this a wrestling show? There are so many interviews, that this makes me sleepy. I’m not a big fan of all these segments. They can resolve these things off camera.
Rough Cuts Segment:
Another segment? Man, this sucks. The women talk about Taylor Wilde’s championship victory, and no one seems to like her. Hugh Morris is on the phone though, that’s kind of cool, and he says that she’s a really good wrestler and that her skills shocked the company. I fell asleep for a moment.
Gail Kim & Taylor Wilde defeated The Beautiful People
Once again, I’m going to say that the best part of the show is the women’s division. These are NOT divas, these girls can go, and really do a great job in wrestling. They are kind of hot, but they can really wrestle! That’s definitely a big plus for me, and although they aren’t exactly putting on Bret Hart matches, they are doing a lot better than anything I’ve seen in WWE with their divas. These women are proving yet again that women’s wrestling doesn’t always have to be a pillow fight, or something stupid like that. It’s nice to see that TNA is giving the women’s division a fair shot, and putting them so high up on the television show. Not as the opener or an afterthought.
Samoa Joe Rafters Segment:
Samoa Joe tries to talk to Sting in the rafters, and the announcers are all scared or whatever, and Joe finds a Raven. That’s it.
Is RAVEN coming back? No wait, that’s a Crow right? Another gimmick steal? The show ends with Joe scared.

TNA gets hated on a lot by the wrestling media out there. However, they do put on quite the show at times. I think that TNA is a strong competitor for number 2, but is not like WCW at all. WCW at least had a really deep roster, and promoted their cruiserweight division and stuffed in a lot of matches instead of just interview segments. However, it seems that TNA is only sticking to a few old WCW adages, and are creating a show that isn’t all that great at times.
What’s up with all the segments? I’m tired of seeing segment after segment, then commercial break for no apparent reason. I don’t like that aspect of the show.
The best part of TNA is definitely the women’s division. I love their knockouts division, it’s like real wrestling! It’s the type of wrestling and story telling that I expect from the men’s division of WWE.

This time around the match looked like a Goldberg, WCW, match up, only Morgan has the charisma of a wet noodle. This is lame.
Morgan calls out Tomko, and the two start to go, but Security holds them back, and they go at it in the ring. Hopefully we get a real match up between the two, but not exactly a technical classic, that’s for sure. These two idiots can’t wrestle their way out of a paper bag.
The Super Hero’s Backstage Segment:
The Super Hero’s are backstage and they are still looking for the ring, and they randomly run off after saying that next week they are going to do something cool.
Team 3-D Interview Segment:
This is boring. Another segment on TNA? IS this a wrestling show? There are so many interviews, that this makes me sleepy. I’m not a big fan of all these segments. They can resolve these things off camera.
Rough Cuts Segment:
Another segment? Man, this sucks. The women talk about Taylor Wilde’s championship victory, and no one seems to like her. Hugh Morris is on the phone though, that’s kind of cool, and he says that she’s a really good wrestler and that her skills shocked the company. I fell asleep for a moment.
Gail Kim & Taylor Wilde defeated The Beautiful People
Once again, I’m going to say that the best part of the show is the women’s division. These are NOT divas, these girls can go, and really do a great job in wrestling. They are kind of hot, but they can really wrestle! That’s definitely a big plus for me, and although they aren’t exactly putting on Bret Hart matches, they are doing a lot better than anything I’ve seen in WWE with their divas. These women are proving yet again that women’s wrestling doesn’t always have to be a pillow fight, or something stupid like that. It’s nice to see that TNA is giving the women’s division a fair shot, and putting them so high up on the television show. Not as the opener or an afterthought.
Samoa Joe Rafters Segment:
Samoa Joe tries to talk to Sting in the rafters, and the announcers are all scared or whatever, and Joe finds a Raven. That’s it.
Is RAVEN coming back? No wait, that’s a Crow right? Another gimmick steal? The show ends with Joe scared.

TNA gets hated on a lot by the wrestling media out there. However, they do put on quite the show at times. I think that TNA is a strong competitor for number 2, but is not like WCW at all. WCW at least had a really deep roster, and promoted their cruiserweight division and stuffed in a lot of matches instead of just interview segments. However, it seems that TNA is only sticking to a few old WCW adages, and are creating a show that isn’t all that great at times.
What’s up with all the segments? I’m tired of seeing segment after segment, then commercial break for no apparent reason. I don’t like that aspect of the show.
The best part of TNA is definitely the women’s division. I love their knockouts division, it’s like real wrestling! It’s the type of wrestling and story telling that I expect from the men’s division of WWE.

TNA Impact Review 7/17/08 Why Sting Why
I’m not a big fan of the titles before the show, but whatever, I pretend I didn’t see them. Impact promises a lot of good action, but promises from TNA are not worth a whole lot.
Backstage Segment 1:
Booker T arrives with the world title belt on his shoulders.
In Ring Segment 1:
Booker T comes out to the ring and talks about how awesome he is and how great it is to finally be the champion. Right before he talks about the whole PPV ending, Jim Cornette comes out and declares Samoa Joe the world tna champion. Cornette then orders Booker T to hand over the belt.
Samoa Joe comes out dressed in a suit. He looks good, nice job TNA, too bad I didn’t expect him to come out like that. Maybe this is just a move to hide that people believe he’s too fat to be a main eventer. I have no problem with it though.
Joe talks about how he beat the crap out of Booker T in his home town, and how he’s going to do it again. However, he is going to allow Booker to hold onto the belt, citing that he’s no chump. Samoa Joe says that Booker T can’t win, and that he’s going to beat down sting too!
Backstage Segment 2:
Beer Money is back stage. Robert Roode talks about how it’s not funny that they lost, and that they are going to have revenge on LAX, and the rest of the park; considering that TNA is filmed at Universal Studios Florida.
Backstage Segment 3:
JB interviews Kaz and he talks about how he didn’t let anyone in TNA down. He thinks that tonight things are going to change.
Petey Williams (C) defeated Kaz
The X-Division is usually really good. They are top notch cruiserweights, but this match was way too short. It was basically a squash; It was about 1/3 of the length of a good match. Kaz looks to have the upper hand, but loses with a roll up and a hook of the tights. What a waste, these guys could really go, but TNA didn’t let the match develop into anything more than a glorified squash.
What annoyed me most, was not so much that they just threw a squash match in there for the TNA X-Division title, it was the fact that right after the match Kaz looked really pissed but instead of following up on that, they cut to the back and had a interview lined up. Wasting what could have developed into something interesting for the fans and the character. Oh well…TNA doesn’t know what they have on their hands, that’s for sure.
Backstage Segment 4:
JB waits for Petey Williams, and some random idiot comes in and tells JB that he has some top secret stuff for later. Lame.
Backstage Segment 5:
Samoa Joe is backstage with JB, and in comes Nash. Kevin Nash tells Samoa Joe that he’s the greatest in the game. Samoa admits that he might not be able to beat Booker T and looks weak. Nash tries to cheer him up a little, but Joe isn’t buying it. Nash says that if someone doesn’t believe in themselves, they have nothing left.
Backstage Segment 6:
Beer Money is back in the production booth whipping everyone, including the crew and the camera man.
Backstage Segment 7:
The announcers are saying that Sting has arrived. But it’s not Sting. It’s Kurt Angle and Team 3-D coming out of a limo.
Meanwhile, backstage Curry Man and others are in a meeting. Super Eric, Curry Man and Shark Boy argue some more, and Beer Money comes out and starts whipping them to pieces!
In Ring Segment 2:
Christy Hemme is out and the Rock & Rave connection is going to be in full effect. *Editors note: Christy Hemme might have a huge forehead, but she’s still a firecracker, and still somewhat attractive. I like her. Remember the Playboy cover and photo shoot? The WWE Playboy curse lives!
The Blueprint: Matt Morgan defeated. Jimmy Rave
Matt Morgan sucks. However, he beats the crap out of Jimmy Rave in a few moves. Nothing worth mentioning more than that; Jimmy Rave had no chance.
Then out comes Lance Rock.
The Blueprint: Matt Morgan defeated. Lance Rock
Lance Rock gets killed in another squash match. Lance Rock tried to get some offense in, but Morgan basically had full range to do whatever he wanted. This is definitely a long step away from his old gimmick, that’s for sure.
Backstage Segment 8:
The TNA Knockouts start arguing back stage about some random B.S. Jim Cornette can’t get anyone to shut up. JB comes in to try and help, and Cornette talks about how everyone wants a shot at Taylor for the knockouts belt. He announces a ten girl gauntlet match, and the winner will get a title shot at Taylor next week at impact. Some random girl offers special services to Cornette….and go to commercial.
Backstage Segment 9:
Beer Money is in the park and is beating down security. They start whipping the crap out of the security guards at the gate. Fans start booing, and then they threaten to whip the fans outside.
Seriously, someone beat down Don West again. Mike Tenay also, he’s fallen far away from his “professor” status that he u sed to have.
In Ring Segment 3:
Team 3-D and Kurt Angle come down to the ring, and he claims he talked to Sting. He knows why he hit Kurt Angle with a baseball bat, and Angle gets interrupted…
Aj Styles, Christian Cage, Rhino comes out and Styles says that Sting has his reasons and that he’s out there to talk to them about something important.
Team 3-D talks about how they want a six man table match.
Christian Cage takes the mic and says that his glass table bump was the worst pain he’s ever felt in his life. (Man he is lying dude) He says that he doesn’t take orders, and starts making fun of how fat Bubba Ray Is. He says that the match is not going to take place on PPV and that the match is going to take place on Impact and that it’s going to be a six man table elimination match.
#1 Contender’s Match: The Knockout Gauntlet
The women put on a great show in this match up, and I was really enjoying the pile up of women. I was confused about the rules of the match, but in the end, some hot blonde one. Velvet Sky is her name, and she is not half bad. She was taking bumps, alongside the rest of the women. I’m surprised Awesome Kong wasn’t involved somehow, but this was a good match with a lot of spots.
Once again, I’ll say that WWE DIVAS suck in comparison to what these women are doing in TNA.
Backstage Segment 10:
Booker T talks about how he is going to give an unlikely opponent a chance. He will wrestle Consequences Creed for the world TNA championship. The match tonight will be a stretcher match and Booker T (In his King tone) calls 911 and asks for an ambulance. He will be like Rocky, where Apollo Creed gave Rocky a title shot.
Backstage Segment 11:
Jay Lethal talks about how Sonjay Dutt was part of the family. So Cal Val says he’s being too hard on him and walks away.
Sonjay Dutt defeated Johnny Devine and Eric Young
This match was too fast, and was just a squash. I really didn't like this one and felt that it was just rushed and was wasted. It could have been a worthwhile match up on TNA but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Jay Lethal comes out to beat down Sonjay Dutt, and inadvertently hits him with a chair, causing So Cal Val to leave him once again. Is Val hooking up with Sonjay?
Backstage Segment 12:
Beer Money is walking, and says they could get fired for all they care.
In Ring Segment 4:
Beer Money comes out, and starts whipping a fan out of the audience. Then they turn their attentions to Hector Guerrero. They handcuff him to the ring post and then go to town on him. LAX comes out and saves him.
Backstage Segment 13:
Kurt Angle and his crew are sitting in their locker room and start talking trash about next week’s match up with Christian Cage and his crew of goons. They then say that Sting will be there and in their corner for the match.
Backstage Segment 14:
Consequences Creed is dancing and raving, cutting the promo of his life! He’s dressed up as Apollo Creed and says he’s going to make history tonight on Impact!
Booker T defeated Consequences Creed (stretcher match)
I admit, I marked out huge for this match, and I knew that there was no chance Creed was going to win, but I marked out huge. Creed impressed me a few weeks back when he wrestled AJ Styles, and I had confidence that he could hang in there with Booker T. Booker hasn’t been really good since I saw him in WCW against the likes of Chris Benoit and others with the television title that he was defending like a real champ. Creed got in little offense, and Booker let him do some impressive spots, even though he isn’t a main eventer. Don west really tore the chances of Creed winning up by saying that no matter what you are, you aren’t Booker T and won’t win. The Ax kick was impressive, I loved that, and it was all downhill from that point. The end came with Booker T just beating the crap out of creed and rolling him out to an ambulance waiting outside. A really lackluster ending to what could have been a really great match.
Samoa Joe comes out and beats the crap out of him, then throws Booker into the back of the ambulance, and then the ambulance leaves, leaving Samoa Joe and Sharmell alone!

What turned out to be a cool show, really was light on the wrestling. I've denoted the amount of backstage segments via numbers, and will continue to do so for WWE as well. There wasn't a lot of wrestling on this show, but they were really trying to build up the story lines. I would have preferred longer matches though.
I do recall WCW Thunder having a LOT of matches in a 2 hour program, and I remember Nitro had a TON of wrestling for 2 and 3 hours. Sure they built story lines, but they didn't have Segment followed by Segment, they would mix it up better. I wonder what TNA is thinking?
I do think that they are having logic problems on this show. Christian Cage says that the worst pain ever was going through the glass table...that wasn't even real! I know...wrestling is fake, but this glass spot was even more fake.

This show was actually really good, and I liked it for the most part. I know that a lot of people do not appreciate TNA lately, and the podcast crews are dogging it, but this show was a nice alternative at times to WWE. Sure, it's not the greatest show in the world, but it wasn't complete garbage. I suggest everyone check out TNA if not for the countless backstage segments, then for the Knockout Division, I'm simply floored by what TNA is doing with them.
So far this week, TNA IMPACT is the best wrestling show so far. Will Smackdown top it? I'll have to wait and see. CMLL might be good on Sunday though...we'll see if Seattle, Wa. can give me some Galavision...I'm looking for it.
