WWE Monday Night Raw October 3, 2016 Review (HULU)

As you know, I don’t write a play by play, I just talk about what I remember, and here we go.

Lana is hot as hell.

Lana asking for a match was cool, but finding out it was going to be a Hell In The Cell match didn’t do much for me. I don’t care about Rusev or Reigns, so that is going to be the point where I take a dump during the PPV.

Brian Kendrick defeated TJ Perkins

Last week, Kendrick won a title shot. This was supposed to be that title match, but guess what? NOPE! The WWE decided it wasn’t, last minute. Kendrick wins, no title change, and everyone in the building was confused. King Ross of Whatculture posted up a graphic of the promotion for this match, and it was in fact a WWE screw job. Nice going WWE, idiots.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day defeated Jeri-KO

Kevin Owens is going to end up on the List of Jericho, just you wait. New Day wins in a boring match. I don’t like the idea of the champion losing matches on Raw, but hey, that’s just me.

Match Rating: 3 out of 5

Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte to become the new Raw Women’s Champion

Here’s the thing about these title changes, the losers don’t fight back. Charlotte missed a sign here. I would have much rather her be vindictive, jumping back in to beat up the newly crowned champ, and taking her title, even though she lost. Show some aggression, show that despite the loss, you’re still better. She’s the bad guy, she’s supposed to beat up Sasha after the loss she took, and then steal the belt, setting up a huge match for Sunday, but nope. Instead, Charlotte started crying, no sign of Dana Brooke, but from what I read online, she was taken out. This match was good, great to see the women end the night on Raw, and great to see a title change. However, there were some botches, and the ending I didn’t believe quite as much. Also, the crying, there’s no crying in Baseball! I mean, wrestling.

Match Rating: 4 out of 5

Not a terrible night of wrestling, but not a good one. The HULU edition neutered Raw completely. The above is not just what I remembered, it’s nearly ALL of what they showed on HULU. Oh well. Maybe one day I can afford getting cable, but that’s not going to be today. An ok Raw, and a lackluster build for a PPV this weekend.
