Charlotte and Becky Lynch defeated The Iconics
Well, that’s the end of the Iconics if you ask me. Lynch and Charlotte proved to be the superior team here, and if you watch closely, you can see that Becky Lynch is on another level compared to the other women, even Flair. She’s fast, and she is crisp, and throws down like she’s been wrestling forever, which is great. She’s got great timing, and looks amazing in ring, which made this match fun to watch. Charlotte would get the win with her Figure 8.
After the women’s match we got a promo from Aj Styles, and no more wrestling.
Zelina Vega defeated Lana
There was two major plot points during this lackluster women’s match. There was a story brewing between Rusev and Cien Almas as they were fighting on the outside. But then there was Aiden English, who ran in to help Rusev take out Cien Almas, but caused the defeat of Lana by Vega. This is going to split up English and Rusev, which is a stupid thing, but that’s how things progress. This wasn’t a great match, although Zelina Vega is gorgeous.
After this match, guess what? More talking! It was Byron Saxon interviewing The Miz. Sigh.
The highlight with the Miz interview was Daniel Bryan showing up on the set of Miz’s show, and beating him down, only to get hit in the head with a glass flower vase. Yeah, let’s hit the guy that has multiple concussions with a hard object, shattering it. Good job. This was a good segment, but blood would’ve made it better.
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated R Truth
Truth made this match score big with me. He’s so good at his age, and he’s just stellar in ring. He put on a great deal of offense, for a short match, but Nakamura would eventually put the armbar in place, causing a great deal of slow down from the frenetic pace that Nakamura wanted. After the rope break, Nakamura started to drop some bombs.
The New Day defeated The Bar
Well, the Bar is done. A good match, don’t get me wrong. The two teams were able to put on a great match together, but that led to The New Day winning again. That’s good for them, as they will have another shot at the tag belts, when they face off against the Bludgeon Brothers. However, the New Day will end up losing out if you ask me. The Bar is done, now, aren’t they?
That was Smackdown. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. There was a lot more talking than I would like, but hey, that’s what happens a lot of the time.
