WWE Monday Night Raw January 11, 1993 The First Ever Raw

WWF Monday Night Raw
I recently went back to watch the first ever Nitro, and decided to go back and see the first ever Raw. Well, I went back to watch the first ever Monday Night Raw for review. Bobby Heenan wasn’t allowed into the arena, and that was the running gag through the night. Other than that, there was a lot of wrestling packed into a small arena. It was a very small location, and it was definitely fascinating to look at. Here are the results.

WWE Monday Night Raw January 11, 1993 Results

Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) defeated Koko B. Ware
The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) defeated The Executioners
Shawn Michaels (c) defeated Max Moon to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship
The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) defeated Damien Demento

WWE Monday Night Raw January 11, 1993 Review

The night had 4 matches airing live, and it was interesting to see. This was a short show, with a lot of momentum. At one point Razor Ramon cut a promo. Other than that, we had some quick matches, and a surprising appearance by Konnan.

Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) defeated Koko B. Ware

Yokozuna squashed Koko, no pun intended. He was on his way out at this point, so he wasn’t exactly getting a push, that’s for certain.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) defeated The Executioners

The Steiners beat the bricks of two jobbers, and that’s about it. There’s not much to say about this match.

Shawn Michaels (c) defeated Max Moon to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship

In a surprisingly good match, Shawn Michaels wrestled Max Moon. This was Konnan, of course. Max Moon put on a nice show, and it was interesting to see a young Shawn Michaels put up with Konnan’s flexibility and outstanding aerial style. Michaels would get the win, but it wasn’t an easy match, with Konnan’s abilities looking a bit better than Shawn at the time. The two would not meet again in the same fashion, since Konnan would go to WCW.

The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) defeated Damien Demento

A throwaway match, with The Undertaker’s no selling and Demento looking hilarious. This was an era of characters, and it showed. This wasn’t great, but it was watchable, at least.

There you have it, a quick rundown of the first ever Monday Night Raw. Was it better than Nitro? I don’t know, maybe? Check out my review of the first ever Monday Night Nitro Here for that information.

WWE NXT April 26, 2017 Results and Review Solid Work Rates and Fighting

Bate vs. Gallagher - 3 Stars Minimum - SRC WWE.COM
NXT is supposed to be a developmental arena, and it is, but some of these shows are so much better than Smackdown and Raw. With that in mind, here is what went down on this week’s NXT showcase.

WWE NXT April 26, 2017 Results

Drew McIntyre defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas
Aleister Black defeated Kona Reeves
Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot
Tyler Bate defeated Jack Gallagher

WWE NXT April 26, 2017 Review

The show opened up with Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot fighting, and then getting separated. Then we went into some interesting matches.

Drew McIntyre defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas

Andrade “Cien” Almas was buried in this match. Drew beat him in a fast paced, hard hitting match that was just unfortunate for Almas. But then again, after the match, he got into a limo full of women, and they probably had a porno style romp. Man, I wish I was good looking.

Aleister Black defeated Kona Reeves

Kona Reeves put in some good offense against Black, and after Black got mad, he knocked his opponent out. And that was that.

Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot

This turned into a brawl, and should lead to a street fight or something. This is a great showcase for both, with is great. The two brawled around the arena.
Tyler Bate defeated Jack Gallagher

Strong style was on display here. A little slow to start, but Bate would eventually win big. Gallagher put on a good fight, and he definitely stretched Bate. I was absolutely stunned by how it turned out. Bate got worked in this one, but it was his overall strong style that would get the better of Gallagher. Gallagher is on a serious downward spiral of losses.

WWE 205 Live April 25, 2017 Results and Review The C Show At Best Comes Through

Austin Aries gives a beat down - SRC WWE.COM
They say that 205 Live is the most exciting hour of wrestling, but honestly, it’s more like 45 minutes of boredom. This night’s show was not good. It was bad. It was an absolute terrible showing if you ask me.

WWE 205 Live April 25, 2017 Results

Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa defeated Noam Dar and Brian Kendrick
Tony Nese defeated Mustafa Ali via Disqualification
Neville defeated Jack Gallagher

WWE 205 Live April 25, 2017 Review

Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa defeated Noam Dar and Brian Kendrick

Rich Swann’s entrance is one of my favorites. His enthusiasm for what he does is infections. If I am ever in the arena, I will be dancing along with him, because he is quite fun to watch. Akira Tozawa has also won me over. The two make a good team, and they were able to get the win over Noam Dar and Kendrick. This was a good flowing match, with fast paced shots, and great overall momentum. Nothing crazy, just pure wrestling action here, so for that, great job WWE.

Tony Nese defeated Mustafa Ali via Disqualification

I’m a fan of Tony Nese and Mustafa Ali, but I don’t need to see them wrestle every week. This moved the needle a bit towards the feud with Drew Gulak and Ali. Other than that, it was a somewhat boring match, with Ali and Nese going through their normal motions.

Neville defeated Jack Gallagher

Neville and Jack Gallagher did the same match you’ve already seen them do on PPV. This time, Neville would get the win with the Rings of Saturn, and never going too risky. Afterwards he beat up Gallagher, and that prompted Austin Aries to run out and beat him up.

This night was boring. There was a few great spots, but overall, it was not fun. The opening match was the best part of this show, and other than that, this is another forgettable night from the cruiserweights of WWE.

WWE Smackdown Live April 25, 2017 Results and Review The B Show Has Women

Charlotte Gets A Beat Down, Ellsworth Still Getting Paid - SRC WWE.Com
I’m tired of hearing about how Smackdown trumps Raw. It doesn’t. This is not better than Raw, it’s just shorter. Shorter does not mean better, and this night once again proves just that. WWE Smackdown is a rollercoaster of boredom, and stupidity. There are some good points, but there’s a lot of nonsense, and if you don’t agree, you’re blinded. There are some highlights, but overall, I had a hard time getting through this one, and rightfully so, if you ask me.

WWE Smackdown Live April 25, 2017 Results

Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler tried to speak English
Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin
American Alpha defeated The Colons
Rusev Will Not Come Back Until WWE Money In The Bank
Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan in a NO DQ Match
Breezango defeated The Ascension
Naomi vs. Chalotte (No Contest)

WWE Smackdown Live April 25, 2017 Review

Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler tried to speak English

Dolph tried really hard to get heat here, but it was really difficult. He’s lost so much credibility over the past few years that I don’t care any longer. Nakamura is great as a performer, but he can’t speak English well. It is so hard to understand some of the words, and the crowd going “WHAT” is because they can’t understand a thing he is saying in the arena. At home, I’m saved by closed captioning, otherwise, I have no idea what some of the words he’s saying are. I’m sorry. He isn’t good on the mic.

Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin

Aj Styles buried Baron Corbin with Kevin Owens on commentary being more of a bully than JBL. Be A Star, right? GTFO. Aj Styles makes everyone look good, but when he buries up and coming talent, then what? Expect Styles to get the U.S. Title, and Owens, well, I don’t know he’ll be back to the independent scene soon enough, he doesn’t seem happy if you ask me.

American Alpha defeated The Colons

One week the American Alpha guys are jobbed out, this week they seem powerful, and The Colons are buried. I thought the Colons were going to get a new start, instead, they were buried here in a short match. This is the shining stars yet again, be honest.

Rusev Will Not Come Back Until WWE Money In The Bank

I don’t care about Rusev. Word on the street is that he has heat in the back. I don’t care, I don’t know, and if he does get a title shot, ok, I’m sure Jinder will bury him.

Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan in a NO DQ Match

Randy Orton and Erick Rowan put on a ok match. I don’t really get the premise, or why. Rowan is on a different show than Wyatt, so what is this all about? This was a workable match, with Orton getting the win, and leading to his title getting stolen by the Bollywood Boys and Jinder My Balls.

Breezango defeated The Ascension

The winner of this match got a Number 1 contender title. And you guessed it, Breezango, the jobbers will get a shot. This is dumb. I’m sorry.

Naomi vs. Charlotte (No Contest)

A workable match ended when the bad girls of Smackdown beat up the champ and Charlotte. Nothing to see here.

Overall, this was a fast paced show. It was boring, but fast paced. I don’t see this as a great showcase, and I think that Smackdown is a B show. It’s bad.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 24, 2017 Results and Review Leave Your Brain At The Door

This Guy Lost The Match - SRC WWE.COM
WWE Monday Night Raw took me a long time to watch. I fell asleep several times. I couldn’t get past how ludicrous some of the booking was. I had a hard time thinking about the reality of how terrible this showcase of WWE truly was. I eventually made it through, and boy, was it hard to really work through. Here are my thoughts on WWE Monday Night Raw April 24, 2017.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 24, 2017 Results

The Miz, Dean Ambrose and Jericho Talk A Lot
Matt Hardy defeated Sheamus
Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher defeated Neville and Tj Perkins
Kalisto defeated Braun Strowman in a dumpster match
Dana Brooke defeated Alicia Fox
Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Big Cass defeated Samoa Joe, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson
Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss via Count Out
Apollo Crews defeated Curt Hawkins
Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. The Miz and Bray Wyatt (No Contest)

WWE Monday Night Raw April 24, 2017 Review

I long for the days where WWE didn’t open their show with 20 to 30 minutes of talking. The Miz interrupted the Highlight Reel, and that led Ambrose to come out and interrupt MIz TV for the Ambrose Asylum. The best part of this was Ambrose giving Chris Jericho a jacket that had Christmas tree lights sewn into it. It was a funny gesture, but other than that, this was a hard segment to get going through. It’s a slow moving segment with boredom written all over it. The Miz is still good, and you know, if I ever meet him, I’m going to tell him as much. He’s one hell of a performer, and Maryse helps him a great deal. Ambrose and Jericho seem to be phoning it in at this point. Oh well.

Matt Hardy defeated Sheamus

Matt Hardy was going back and forth between the Broken gimmick in ring. Sheamus and Hardy work fine together. This was not a bad match by any means. I thought for sure Hardy would lose this one, since Jeff won last week. Not so, this time around Sheamus was distracted and Matt won thanks to that. Afterwards, Sheamus and Cesaro shook hands with the Hardy Boyz and that was it. A workable match, with not a lot to write home about. If the goal of Raw is to be entertaining, this was definitely a highlight for me.

Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher defeated Neville and Tj Perkins

I don’t mind the cruiserweights, but they are becoming oversaturated. How so? Well, I mean just these 4 guys over and over again. Even on 205 Live, these guys are getting the same matchups and matches and it’s starting to get tired. There should be more variety. That being said, this was not a bad match, it was just fast paced, and obviously not given a lot of time. Neville and Perkins would lose this one, and that is about it.

Kalisto defeated Braun Strowman in a dumpster match

Kalisto, wow, I gotta admit he has big balls. However, the crowd was dead for this, Strowman tried to rile up the crowd by calling them all trash, and it was just bad. Strowman did his normal thing here, and Kalisto tried to outsmart the big guy. Kalisto eventually got the upper hand with Strowman stepping into the dumpster, I kid you not. Strowman fell into the dumpster and that made him mad, as he lost the match. Strowman then beat up Kalisto, threw him in the dumpster, and then threw him off the 2 foot stage. Look, this is not 1998. If you go back in time, you’ll realize that Terry Funk was legit injured in that angle because of the height of the stage, and the fact that there was no padding in the trash can. Even at Mania, you could see Funk’s giant bruises on his back, he was torn up. This was not as brutal, it was safer, but it made no sense for Strowman to lose.

If I would have booked this. I would have Strowman dump Kalisto into the dumpster, then close 1 flap, and when the second one was about to shut, an arm would stop it. That arm? Roman Reigns! Roman Reigns would then beat up Strowman, and call in for the Shield, and they would save Kalisto and help him win the match. That makes a lot more sense. This loss, however, was not logical at all.

Dana Brooke defeated Alicia Fox

I love Dana Brooke’s look. I find her sexy, and would love to meet her, and discuss the finer things in life. Ok, maybe not that much. Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke had a very bad match here, and Brooke botched her finish. I didn’t like it, but I really want Brooke to get over, and of course I like Alicia FOOOXXXX. This was bad.

Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Big Cass defeated Samoa Joe, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson

This was thrown together after The Club Sandwich boys beat up Enzo. Cass was taken out by Samoa Joe, and then this set up Finn as the third man. This wasn’t half bad, it was a good workable match, but I think it’s bad to have the bad guys lose here. Joe and the Club Sandwich guys should win here, and then have the match thrown out or reversed because of brutality. But alas, that did not happen.

Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss via Count Out

Alexa Bliss is stellar on the mic. She ran down the Raw women’s roster on the mic and basically called out everyone. Banks and Bayley came out and tried to counter, but they were bad. I mean really bad. Sasha at one point said that Bayley as the champ calls the shots. Well, Ms. Banks, how are you the boss if you aren’t calling shots? Last I checked, Bosses call the shots, not the chumps. This set up a match in which Bliss got counted out, and that was that. Alexa on the mic is great, and her overall work rate is so good, I hope she takes the title and just runs with it.

Apollo Crews defeated Curt Hawkins

I honestly love Curt Hawkins. I would love for him to get a push. But alas, he didn’t. He got buried here yet again, and Crews did his best to try to get over in the win. Crews would celebrate the win with Titus, as he ran down and raised his hand. I guess this is a thing now? What happened to making Darren Young great again? Oh well.

Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. The Miz and Bray Wyatt (No Contest)

The main event started, and I was hoping for something great. The Miz was supposed to get a tag partner, and didn’t get anyone to come out. After some fighting alone, Bray Wyatt showed up and beat everyone up, including the Miz. That ended the show, and honestly, it makes little to no sense for me.

Does Bray Wyatt want the Intercontinental Title? What does he want? He isn’t battling for the WWE Title this weekend, so what gives? What is the point here? Why is Ambrose phoning it in? Why is Chris Jericho looking like a chump here? I don’t understand the booking logic of Monday Night Raw, and most people probably don’t either. At the end of the day, Raw was not a great show. It had a few good moments, but let me ask, where was Nia Jax? Or why hasn’t Brock shown up? Where is Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado? Heck, why does Raw feel like it’s 9 hours long? All these questions and more, next time, I’m sure.

WWE NXT April 19, 2017 Results and Review Kevin Castle’s Neighbor Competes In A Cage

Tye Dillinger From The Top - SRC Wwe.com
WWE NXT taped from Full Sail Studios in Orlando, Florida, and I for one wish the school was around when I was younger. I would have gone to that school instead of the Art Institute. Don’t get me wrong, the Art Institute was good, but it didn’t really give me a fighting chance for the real world. Whatever the case may be, NXT was live, and it packed a lot of wrestling into a small package.

WWE NXT April 19, 2017 Results

Hideo Itami made Bobby Roode look like a Chump
Anrade “Cien” Almas defeated Danny Burch
Aliyah and Liv Morgan defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay
Tye Dillinger defeated Eric Young in a Steel Cage Match

WWE NXT April 19, 2017 Review

The show started well enough, with Bobby Roode cutting a Triple H like promo. He was talking about a new era, and out came Hideo Itami. I for one, am not impressed by Itami at all. I don’t see the big deal. He showed up to the ring and immediately hit the GTS on Roode, and that was that. I guess he’s a star? I don’t know.

Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Danny Burch

Danny Burch is a UK star, and he was easily taken care of by Almas. Almas is cool as a bad boy here, but something tells me that he’s not happy. Perhaps it was Alberto Del Rio. Look for Drew McIntyre to bury him next week.

Aliyah and Liv Morgan defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

Royce and Kay are Laycool 2.0. This was a workable match, nothing too great, not a long one, just average. The finale led to Royce and Kay throwing a fit in ring, and that was that.

Tye Dillinger defeated Eric Young in a steel cage

Kevin Castle’s Neighbor, Eric Young put the boots to Tye Dillinger in this back and forth match. Sanity tried to interfere, but they were thwarted, and Dillinger was able to escape this match with the win, and close the door on his Sanity feud. I feel that blood would have helped here, but that’s just my opinion. A good overall match, and a workable finish to a lackluster show.

That’s it for this week’s NXT, it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. The main event was worth checking out, but other than that, it wasn’t too much to write home about.

WWE 205 Live Results and Review Slowing Down The Cruiserweights

Neville Beats Up Aries - src wwe.com
WWE 205 Live is supposed to be an hour of action, but honestly, it’s more like 45 minutes of show, and lots of filler. This week’s highlight was Mustafa Ali, simple as that. Let’s discuss this showcase of the lighter side of wrestling.

WWE 205 Live Results

Akira Tozawa defeated Tony Nese
Rich Swann defended Cedric Alexander’s honor
Ariya Daivari defeated Mustafa Ali
Austin Aries defated Tj Perkins

WWE 205 Live Review

Akira Tozawa defeated Tony Nese

Tony Nese is the most underrated wrestler on the 205 roster. He’s stellar in ring, and Tozawa made him look great too. Tozawa is over with his yelling, and you know what, I’m growing to like the guy. This was a hard style match with Tozawa getting the big win overall. Great opener.

Rich Swann defended Cedric Alexander’s honor

This was nonsense. Alicia Foxx is hot though.

Ariya Daivari defeated Mustafa Ali

Ali is the most incredible of wrestlers. He put on a highlight reel again. I am hoping the best for Mustafa Ali, and if they make a shirt for him, I’m buying it. He is the best wrestler on 205 Live that is just going out and performing 5 star classics. Gulak came out protesting high flying, and that let Ariya Daivari get the win. Daivari’s character is starting to get more rounded out, which is a good thing. This was a great match folks, I loved it, you should love it too.

Austin Aries defeated Tj Perkins

Austin Aries put on an ok show with Tj Perkins. Perkins as a heel is ok, but he needs better talent to work with. I would say to put him on NXT and let him wrestle other guys. This was not a great match. The two didn’t have the chemistry that I thought they would have. Also, I’m not sold on Aries, I don’t see the big deal yet. Oh well. This was a good match, not great, but it was ok. Lots of great back and forth, and good overall maneuvers. Aries wins, getting that burial back from last week or two weeks ago.

Post match, Neville came down and beat up Aries, and that was the end of the night. I’ll have an NXT review tomorrow, and then a review of the first ever Monday Night Raw.

WWE Smackdown Live April 19, 2017 Results and Review Don’t Hinder My Jinder

Sick Bump - src wwe.com
WWE Smackdown Live proved to me that they are the B show last night. There were so many problems that I don’t know if I have time to list them all. I know that King Ross over at Whatculture WWE is going to have a field day with the WTF moments, if he doesn’t slack off again. Whatever the case may be, let’s discuss the most terrible 3 hours (205 Live next), of my wrestling viewing this week. It’s going to be bad folks.

WWE Smackdown Live April 19, 2017 Results

Jinder Mahal defeated Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Mojo Rawley in a Six Pack Challenge
Charlotte Flair defeated Naomi in a non title match
Primo and Epico defeated American Alpha
Kevin Owens defeated Gary Gandy in a Face of America Open Challenge
Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin via count out

WWE Smackdown Live April 19, 2017 Review

The show opened with Charlotte Flair, and her beautiful body in the ring. She demanded a title shot, in which Naomi came out to confront her. Shane McMahon scheduled a match between the two, and if Charlotte won, she would get a title shot. The two brawled afterwards, and the show begin.

Jinder Mahal defeated Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Mojo Rawley in a Six Pack Challenge

This was a fine match. Lots of action, and lots of no-selling for some reason. Luke Harper at one point takes a superkick from Dolph, no-sells it, and then buries him with a power bomb. That happened a lot in this match. Lots of finishers and lots of kicking out for no reason. Jinder eventually got the big win here, and it was because of the Bollywood Boyz helping him out. Otherwise, Zayn may have gotten the win. Jinder then cut a promo against Randy Orton, and the heel heat was coming off the television.

Charlotte Flair defeated Naomi in a non title match

Charlotte Flair buried Naomi here. Ok, maybe it wasn’t as bad as the burial that Primo and Epico threw down, but it was sad. The champion looks weak when they lose matches here. Charlotte will get a title shot for next week.

Primo and Epico defeated American Alpha

Primo and Epico buried American Alpha. They went from selling timeshares to burying younger talent. Oh well.

Kevin Owens defeated Gary Gandy in a Face of America Open Challenge

Kevin Owens beat a jobber. This is what you call a prize fighter, folks.

Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin via count out

This was a cool match, but Aj Styles won with a count out, sending me into a frenzy of bad words in my head. This was stupid. Aj Styles doesn’t have to sneak a win out against Corbin, which makes no sense to me. Oh well, Corbin loses again.

Smackdown made no sense to me. Jinder is your new number one contender, the USOS were not featured, and well, this was just a horrendous show. This is the B show again folks, face it.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 17, 2017 Results and Review Same Old SHIZNIT

Monday Night Raw
If you were looking for Monday Night Raw to follow up on their previous booking, don’t look for it here. This night in Ohio had a lot of flaws, with a few cool matches to book. Overall, this is not a great Raw, but you know what? Perhaps you thought differently. Let’s discuss it, or rather let me write about it to an audience of no one.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 17, 2017 Results

Samoa Joe defeated Chris Jericho
The Club Sandwich Boys defeated Enzo and Big Cass
Dean Ambrose beat Up The Miz
Tj Perkins defeated Jack Gallagher
Alexa Bliss defeated Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, and Mickie James for the No. 1 Contender Spot
Finn Balor defeated Curt Hawkins
Jeff Hardy defeated Cesaro
Big Show vs. Braun Showman ended in a no contest

WWE Monday Night Raw April 17, 2017 Review

First and foremost, the show opened with Brown Shoeman getting an uproarious ovation for taking out Roman Reigns. He was getting so much cheers, he almost broke character several times. It was insane how much praise he was getting in the opening segment. That prompted Kurt Angle to give him a match against Roman Reigns for Payback in a couple of weeks.

Samoa Joe defeated Chris Jericho

Another burial. Ok, maybe it wasn’t as bad as some other matches, but Samoa Joe easily defeated Chris Jericho after figuring out a few of the key elements of Jericho’s game. Jericho is way over, and that was fun. His interaction with the Drifter backstage was great too. Joe wins, and I’m not sure what’s to go down next.

The Club Sandwich Boys defeated Enzo and Cass

Brian Zane of wrestling with wregret fame tried to argue with me about Cass. I’m going to reiterate yet again, HE IS NOT world title material, and he is not going to become the next Stone Cold. He is NOT the same caliber of talent. I like the guy enough, but if him and Enzo keep getting mauled in the tag division, like they did against the Club Sandwhich boys, it’s going to be dreadful. This match was lame. I hope to never see it again.

Dean Ambrose on Miz TV

The Miz didn’t say anything that we already didn’t know. Dean Ambrose sucks. He plays dumb, and is collecting a giant paycheck, then going home to bang Renee Young. Lucky bastard. Ok, maybe he deserves it, but then again, I could go with Jennifer White for an hour for $1200 so maybe it’s not about luck, it’s about money. Dean Ambrose beats up the Miz, and that’s that.

Tj Perkins defeated Jack Gallagher

Gallagher went from contending for the Cruiserweight Title to losing to Perkins. Perkins is heel now, and that makes him better, all of a sudden? Ok. Not a great match, Gallagher’s same formulaic matches are starting to bore me.

Alexa Bliss defeated Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, and Mickie James

Now this was a boring match for the most part, then things started to pick up towards the end. I didn’t peg Bliss to win this one, and when she came roaring into the match and beat up Sasha Banks, I marked out huge. Bliss seems like a really cool chick, and am glad that she got a hometown win. She will face Bayley, in Bayley’s home town, so that will be a good match, I hope.

Finn Balor buried Curt Hawkins

I’m a Curt Hawkins fan, I’m sorry, I like him. He calls out anyone in the back, and Finn Balor comes out. He has a serious look on his face and then drops Hawkins into oblivion with some insane dropkicks and of course, his finisher. Hawkins gets buried for the second week in a row, but man, what a way to go out. I loved it.

Jeff Hardy defeated Cesaro

Jeff Hardy is such a great talent. Cesaro and him put on a fine display, and perhaps the best match of the night. Hardy is impressive here, and Cesaro is always fun to watch. What can I say, this was a delight to watch.

The Big Show vs. Brown Shoeman ended in a no Contest

Here’s where I find serious issue. Why is Braun Strowman having such a hard time against The Big Show? He should be mauling him, but that’s not what we get. Strowman fights hard to get through this one, and the ending comes with the two crashing onto the mat and the ring breaking. The same spot we’ve seen many times before. Michael Cole also said that the Big Show used to have an elbow drop from the top as his finisher, which is wrong. He did have a dropkick off the top, but when he made it to WWE they told him not to do anything off the ground. Then they buried him, sending him to OVW to retrain. Strowman got up and the announcers sold it like he was the second coming of Hercules Hernandez. Whatever. I am not sold on Strowman because he’s going to get buried by Roman Reigns in a couple of weeks. Oh well.

Raw was not great, but it wasn’t terrible. I’m tired of the lazy booking, but hey, that’s just what happens. I had a fun time watching, so maybe it wasn’t half bad after all.

WWF Summerslam 1988 Results and Review The Most Beautiful Woman Ever

Summerslam 1988 VHS Cover
On August 29, 1988 the annual summer event for the WWF was held at Madison Square Garden. In front of 20,000 fans, a legit sell out, the show of shows featured some of the best of the WWF for the year of 1988. I saw this one on PPV and was absolutely enthralled. I went back to see this on the WWE Network for the purpose of review, and it holds up at times, and while it took me a while to watch it all, I’m glad I saw it again.

WWF Summerslam 1988 Results

The British Bulldogs defeated The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers
Bad News Brown defeated Ken Patera
Rick Rude defeated the Junkyard Dog
The Powers of Pain defeated The Bolsheviks
The Ultimate Warrior defeated The Honky Tonk Man (Intercontinental Championship)
Dino Bravo defeated Don Muraco
Demolition defeated The Hart Foundation (Tag Team Championship)
Big Boss Man defeated Koko B. Ware
Jake Roberts defeated Hercules
The Mega Powers defeated The Mega Bucks

WWF Summerslam 1988 Review

What you’re going to find to be true about this event is that you’ll find the crowd to be wild. The crowd here was far more wild than anything you’re seeing in WWE right now. Oh and no, that doesn’t include the night after Wrestlemania, mind you.

When you go back to watch this, you’re going to hear Superstar Billy Graham and Gorilla Monsoon on commentary. They are great together and they have chemistry overall. Despite what some people say, this was a fun night of wrestling, with 10 matches and tons of fun

The British Bulldogs vs. The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Time Limit Draw)

The opening match was great, with the British Bulldogs in their prime. Lots of suplexes, lots of fighting, and lots of chain wrestling. The Rougeau Brothers went to town with the Bulldogs, and the match went a time limit draw, but it was still fun and showcased the greatness of both of these teams.

Bad News Brown defeated Ken Patera

I love Bad News Brown. He put the boots to Ken Patera in this match, and then dropped him with the Ghetto Blaster. I loved it.

Rick Rude defeated the Junkyard Dog

This was a throwaway match, with JYD winning with a DQ finish. Rude was ok, but he wasn’t as good as when he would be in WCW in the coming years.

The Powers of Pain defeated The Bolsheviks

A squash match that had the crowd going, so perhaps that’s all that matters.

The Ultimate Warrior defeated The Honky Tonk Man (Intercontinental Championship)

The famous squash match, the Ultimate Warrior won the Intercontinental Championship in a squash. Honky would never recover after this.

Dino Bravo defeated Don Muraco

Random throw away match. Dino Bravo won a fast match, and Muraco would eventually leave.

Demolition defeated The Hart Foundation (Tag Team Championship)

This was a great overall match with the Hart Foundation losing after several near falls. Even here Bret Hart was a better wrestler than his partner. Demolition was no joke here, and the crowd was all over this match and the finish.

Big Boss Man defeated Koko B. Ware

Koko B. Ware is a hall of famer, and he put on a show. The crowd loved him, and the offense he threw in was great. Big Boss Man is a heel here, and he’s deceptively fast. Koko put on a show, but eventually fell to the former corrections officer. Boss Man is no joke here.

Jake Roberts defeated Hercules

Jake Roberts was so over here, and Hercules play a good heel. He would thwart Roberts at nearly every step until Roberts hit a great DDT. The DDT finish was so protected, it got the crowd going nuts when the 3 count happened. Great overall match for 1988, and Roberts was incredible. Hercules would eventually go to WCW and put on a mask.

The Mega Powers defeated The Mega Bucks

The Mega Powers were a team that consisted of Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. They were managed by Miss Elizabeth and looking back at this ppv, I recall how beautiful she was to me and many fans. My dad was even stricken. She was just a lovely, lovely lady, and as an adult I still have feelings for her. RIP Miss Elizabeth. The Mega Bucks was Andre The Giant and The Million Dollar Man. Ted Dibiase was a great foil and bumped like crazy in this match. Andre and Dibiase was great together, and when it seemed like the Mega Powers lost, out came Miss Elizabeth and took her skirt off. That got the crowd to go nuts, and boners to rise for young men like myself at the time. Even now, I marked out huge.

The special guest referee was Jesse The Body Ventura and he played a good down the middle ref, until the end which had Macho forcing his hand for the 3 count. This was a fun event with lots of action, and some great overall moments. The crowd was going nuts throughout the night, and it was great.

Overall, Summerslam 1988 gives me a lot of great memories, and it holds up today. If you watch the WWE Network option, they didn’t edit too much, except some of the music, and some of the commentary. Other than that, this is a great showcase for old school wrestling.

WWE NXT April 12, 2017 Results and Review Lorcan Deserves Respect

Drew McIntyre is Back - SRC wwe.com
WWE NXT had a formatting reset, with a lot of attention given to new stars, new song, and new showcase of talent. This night was packed with a lot in 45 minutes, and that doesn’t mean great wrestling, or does it?

Aleister Black defeated Corey Hollis
DIY defeated Dylan Miley and Michael Blais
Ruby Riot defeated Kimberly Frankele
Drew McIntyre defeated Oney Lorcan
Shinsuke Nakamura cannot speak English

WWE NXT April 12, 2017 Review

Aleister Black defeated Corey Hollis

Black did one kick and won. Corey Hollis, thanks for coming by.

DIY defeated Dylan Miley and Michael Blais

DIY was getting a beat down by Miley, who is a juggernaut. Michael Blais, or Michael Hayes as someone said on commentary, got beat down. He’s broken, and was broken.

Ruby Riot defeated Kimberly Frankele

A fast match with not much to write about, Riot wins, despite distraction from Sanity.

Drew McIntyre defeated Oney Lorcan

Holy crap. McIntyre and Lorcan went strong style, and Lorcan legit got busted open. I was impressed with both of these guys, as they really put on a show with hard hitting punches and kicks. Lorcan at one point was hitting Drew as hard as he could in the neck, making it severely read. At another point Drew busted Lorcan open hard style, and eventually got the win. The cameras would not show Lorcan getting stitched up in ring, and that was funny. McIntyre is awesome now, I can’t wait to see what he can do against the rest of the NXT guys.

Shinsuke Nakamura cannot speak English

Shinsuke said goodbye, and he could barely go through a promo. He needs ESL help. I will volunteer to help him, so WWE, holla at your body.

WWE 205 April 11, 2017 Results and Review Where Are The Lucha Guys

WWE 205 April 11, 2017 Results

Mustafa Ali defeated The Brian Kendrick
Rich Swann defeated Johnny Ocean
TJ Perkins defeated Jack Gallagher

WWE 205 April 11, 2017 Review

Mustafa Ali defeated The Brian Kendrick

The opening match was stellar. Mustafa Ali is one of the greatest wrestlers I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen him wrestle, you’re not a fan of wrestling. Ali impresses me every time he steps into the ring. He has logic on his side, he puts on a show, and in this match he pulled out all the stops to fight Kendrick’s mat based offense. Kendrick was fun to watch here too, countering some of Ali’s offense, but the inverted 450 was too much.

Give the assist to Akira Tozawa, he run the bell prematurely, and that let Ali get the win. Great stuff here.

Rich Swann defeated Johnny Ocean

Rich Swann beat a jobber.

Post-match Alicia Fox came out and confronted Swann. Then a gift came to the ring and Noam Dar came out to claim it was from him. It exploded in Alicia Fox’s face, and that was that. Swann gets the last laugh.

TJ Perkins defeated Jack Gallagher

Not my favorite match. This seemed forced at times. Perkins can go, and Gallagher does great stuff, but sometimes it comes across a bit slow and forced. The pace picked up and Gallagher outsmarted Perkins at times, but it was TJ that got the big win at the end, thanks to Gallagher knocking himself out with a ring post dive.

Afterwards, Neville and Perkins celebrated together. A good overall 205 Live, but I’m getting tired of Tom Phillips calling all the cation on 4 hours of WWE programming.

WWE Smackdown April 11, 2017 Results and Review The B Show

WWE Smackdown Featured A Nonsensical Burial - src wwe.com
If you think that Smackdown is anything but the B show, you’re absolutely delusional. With this latest shake up, the brand is absolutely dumbfounding. It’s perhaps the worst roster I’ve seen in a while, and that’s not hyperbole. I’ll get to that in the review, but wow, what a lackluster show.

WWE Smackdown April 11, 2017 Results

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are on Smackdown
Randy Orton vs. Erick Rowan (No Contest)
The Usos defeated American Alpha (Title Match)
Mojo Rawley defeated Jinder Mahal
Charlotte Flair and Tamina are Now In The Women’s Division
Tye Dillinger defeated Aiden English
Shinsuke Nakamura still cannot speak English
The New Day Is Announced
Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn for a U.S. Title Shot

WWE Smackdown April 11, 2017 Review

“There will always be a spot for you on Raw Sami” – Kurt Angle

The opening of the show had Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens show up as part of the shake up. This comes 24 hours after Kurt Angle told Sami Zayn that there was a spot for him on Raw. Kevin Owens shows up in a suit and tie, without his trademark pubic hair beard. Scott Steiner commented on this, “He’s Fat!”.

Randy Orton vs. Erick Rowan (No Contest)

What a waste of a match. Erick Rowan was buried last week, and he was on his way to the burial plot this week. Bray Wyatt came on the screen and said that he was going to take the title from Orton at the House of Whores match. Oh, it’s not whores? I’m being told that it’s HORRORS. Oh well.

The Usos defeated American Alpha (Title Match)

No one cared about this. I didn’t, and neither did the guys in the match, as they were phoning it in. The same moves you’ve seen 100 times before, and the Usos pretend that they are important on a brand that didn’t even put them on the Wrestlemania card. This was ok at best. Fun little match, American Alpha are floundering on Smackdown.

Post-match the Puerto Ricans showed up and showed off that they were the dominant team now. I guess they aren’t inviting people to the Shining Stars resort anymore?

Mojo Rawley defeated Jinder Mahal

Jinder My Balls, just 24 hours after injuring Finn Balor gets a chance to wrestle Mojo Rawley and get buried. Jinder My Balls, according to many sources, is set to get a huge push, and I don’t know why, honestly.

Charlotte Flair and Tamina are Now In The Women’s Division

It was announced that Charlotte Flair and Tamina are now in the women’s division on Smackdown. There are only 6 women on this show, what a revolution, right?

Tye Dillinger defeated Aiden English

Tye Dillinger buried Aiden English. He’s a 7 at best in this match.

Shinsuke Nakamura still cannot speak English

Shinsuke Nakamura interrupted Dolph Ziggler, and could barely speak. He couldn’t even say his full name without making R’s L’s and that’s not a good sign for ESL.

The New Day Is Announced

The New Day is now coming to Smackdown, and I don’t care.

Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn for a U.S. Title Shot

The main event should have been huge, but it wasn’t that grand. In fact, it was kind of boring. Aj Styles is always fun to watch, and Corbin with Zayn was good. However, why would Styles want the United States Title? Honestly, why? There’s no reason why he should be chasing a secondary title. He wins this one, mind you. A decent match, no doubt.

Wait.

What if Randy Orton loses to Bray Wyatt. That means that the WWE Title would go to Raw, and Smackdown’s highest title will be the United States title! Holy crap! You read it here first.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 11, 2017 Results and Review 7 Burials of Raw

Look At The Wheel, Morons, They Can't Make Anything Look Real - SRC wwe.com
Why did this night feel like it was 9 hours long? I watched a version that I found on Youtube, without commercials, and it still felt like it was too long, without any of the commercials. As you may know the WWE claimed there was going to be a shake up going on, and well, they did shake things up. However, it was more like a kid shaking up a soda and then opening it. You’ll find out as I try to make sense of all of this b.s. that the company is throwing at us. Including some nonsensical moves, that just seems, well, special.

WWE Monday Night Raw April 11, 2017 Results

The Revival defeated The New Day (BURIAL)
Big Show knocked out Curt Hawkins (Burial Number 2)
Tj Perkins defeated Austin Aries (Burial Number 3)
Nia Jax defeated Charlotte Flair (Burial Number 4)
Finn Balor defeated Jinder Mahal (Burial Number 5)
Sami Zayn defeated The Miz (Burial Number 6)
Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens (Burial Number 7)

WWE Monday Night Raw April 11, 2017 Review

With the shake up tonight, there were a lot of burials. Don’t believe me? Well let’s consider this night of Raw, which seemed to last 9 hours!

Dean Ambrose came out and thought that John Cena was really in the ring, but it was The Miz. The show started with two acquisitions. It was dumb. Dean Ambrose is playing goofy Ambrose.

The Revival defeated The New Day (BURIAL)

The Revival took a lot of boots from The New Day. The New Day showed up with a Kofi Kingston blow up doll. The Revival would win, after a back and forth bout, and that’s the end. The New Day is buried, and will most likely be on Smackdown, if you ask me.

Big Show knocked out Curt Hawkins (Burial Number 2)

Curt Hawkins got buried. I hated it. I like Curt Hawkins.

Tj Perkins defeated Austin Aries (Burial Number 3)

Austin Aries, the number one contender, lost to Tj Perkins. Perkins is great, don’t get me wrong, but he has been on a losing streak for some time. This seems odd to me. Good match though. Possibly best of the night.

Nia Jax defeated Charlotte Flair (Burial Number 4)

Charlotte Flair must be going to Smackdown. She was buried tonight.

Finn Balor defeated Jinder Mahal (Burial Number 5)

Finn Balor buried JInder my Balls, and Bray Wyatt announced that he was going to take him on. Finn Balor will beat Wyatt, and Mahal is buried yet again.

Sami Zayn defeated The Miz (Burial Number 6)

The Miz got buried by Sami Zayn. Wow. So much for that jump.

Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens (Burial Number 7)

Michael Cole said, “Ambrose buries Kevin Owens with dirty deeds”, and that’s that. It was bad. Dean Ambrose continues to wrestle the same match over and over again.

Also, Roman Reigns was buried by Strowman. People cheered Strowman. Strowman will get his burial later, as Reigns is NOT going to lose that feud. This night seemed like 9 hours of Raw. I’m tired. The Shield is back.

Mauro Ranallo Rage Quits WWE

IMG SRC WWE.COM
Rumors have been spreading for some time, but I'm calling this out right now. Mauro Ranallo has been bullied out of a job by JBL. According to Dave Meltzer, the company has a toxic problem with bullying and the latest victim is Mauro Ranallo.

News also broke that Justin Roberts was bullied. We already know that Joey Styles was bullied, and Aj Lee Brooks' book details bullying in the locker room and by creative.

Dave Meltzer even went as far as to say that if it were any other company, JBL would be fired.

I know, it's all speculation, right?

Well if you can read Spanish, then it's not far fetched. SOLO Wrestling, a Spanish based website for wrestling wrote that this is not a speculative case, Mauro is out. OSW review's official twitter also stated the same.

JBL ran out Mauro, and now we are getting Jim Ross and Tom Phillips on 90 hours of programming.

Way to BE A STAR WWE.

WWE NXT April 6, 2017 Results and Review Smartest Main Event Ever

El Vagabundo, Smart Move - Src WWE.Com
NXT was recorded at the Amway center and the crowd was huge, but there were only 3 matches this time around. I don’t know if this was recorded before or after Takeover, but it was interesting none the less.

Here is how it all went down, in what may be one of the smartest main events, or at least the most fun.

WWE NXT April 6, 2017 Results

Peyton Royce defeated Aliyah
Heavy Machinery defeated The Bollywood Boyz
Oney Lorcan defeated El Vagabundo

WWE NXT April 6, 2017 Review

Peyton Royce defeated Aliyah

The NXT women’s division needs a lot more women. These ladies are ok, but they looked as though they were working in slow motion at times. Not as good as the title picture, I’ll tell you that much. Asuka needs better competition, or to move to the main roster, these women aren’t ready.

Heavy Machinery defeated The Bollywood Boyz

I love the Bollywood Boyz, but in this match, they lost big by the fat guys. I mean, the big guys. They are a fun team, but the Boyz should get more shots at the main roster, I like their gimmick and their style. Great wrestlers, lost against the big guys.

Oney Lorcan defeated El Vagabundo

This wasn’t half bad. El Vagabundo was fascinating to me, then it was obvious that it was the Drifter! I marked out, and the crowd marked out huge. He would lose this match and get escorted out, only after his mask was pulled off. Lorcan is now on 205 Live, I guess? Vagabundo should be going to the main roster now? I don’t know.

At the end of the day, NXT was ok, only saved by the end of the show.

The Top 15 Undertaker Matches of All Time – A Retirement Look Back

The Underataker Upon His Debut - SRC WWE
With the end of the Undertaker’s in ring career, I was thinking about creating a list to commemorate his career. With that in mind, I have gone back and thought about all of the matches that he’s had on PPV and television, etc.

Here we go, there are top 10 Undertaker matches of all time. These matches are going to show you just how amazing the Undertaker was in his prime, even if his latter years suffered. These are my picks for the top 10 Undertaker Matches of all time.

Undertaker vs. Randy Orton Wrestlemania 21

I was in the building for this one. I was above the entry way at the Staples Center and it was a fun match. Randy Orton had been burying older talent, he was pushing the Legend Killer persona, and Undertaker was set to stop him. Along the way, a lot of legends tried to warn Orton, including his dad, and he wouldn’t listen. Undertaker dropped him like a bad habit in this match.

Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle Now Way Out 2006

Undertaker against Kurt Angle was a hard hitting, diverse wrestling match. A good overall push forward in this one, which is grand. Kurt Angle really put the boots to Taker here, and Undertaker was selling like crazy for the Olympic Gold Medalist. 2006 seems so far away, and these two put on a show.

Undertaker vs. Rob Van Dam Vengeance 2001

Rob Van Dam was great here, and Undertaker respected the athleticism that Van Dam had. This was a better match than I thought, and Rob didn’t just roll through Undertaker at all. Van Dam took a lot of offense, and Undertaker pushed through a great deal of his moves too.

Undertaker vs. Triple H Hell In A Cell Wrestlemania 28

Triple H and Undertaker put on a show in this one, and it was a great one. I liked this better than their match at X-7. This was a better fought battle, Shawn Michaels helped, and yet Triple H just couldn’t beat Taker. I loved it. You loved it, go back and watch this one.

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar Hell In A Cell No Mercy 2002

This match, in 2002, was great. I was at Unforgiven where these two fought to a disqualification finish, and that was fun. But it was this match that really made the feud great. Taker and Lesnar in their prime, and it was great to see the two put on a seriously heavy hitting match. These guys pulled out all of the stops for the match, and it still lives up if you ask me.

Undertaker vs. Mankind (Buried Alive Match) In Your House Buried Alive 1996

Mankind was the one major character that had been introduced that had Undertaker’s number. In this match, they introduced the Buried Alive concept. Mankind lost this one, but after the initial loss, the heels in WWF at the time came out and buried Undertaker completely. It was great overall.

Undertaker vs. CM Punk Wrestlemania 29

This should have been the main event. CM Punk and Undertaker tore the house down in my book. Punk going one on one with the best striker in WWE was great, and Taker didn’t let up. Punk and Undertaker fought before, but last time they met was a burial. This was incredible, and went back and forth, great solution overall.

Undertaker vs. Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Vader In Your House Final Four 1997

If you have ever seen the Royal Rumble 1997, you know that there was a lot of issues at the end. That led to this incredible 4 way match, with lots of brawling, lots of technical elements, and brutal chair shots. Hart and Stone Cold would put themselves through the fire in this one, and Undertaker would continue to go to Wrestlemania. This was great. If you haven’t seen this, you’re missing out on a great 4 way match.

Undertaker vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (WWF Title Match) In Your House Cold Day In Hell 1997

One of my personal favorite matches, Stone Cold nearly won this match if it wasn’t for Brian Pillman. Undertaker was on a streak in 1997, defending the title against a lot of guys in 1997 before dropping the belt to Hart at Summerslam. If you haven’t seen this one, it’s a great one, and both guys were in their absolute prime. No injuries, no nothing, just great wrestling.

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels Hell In A Cell Match In Your House Badd Blood 1997

Shawn Michaels and Undertaker started on a collision course at In Your House Break Down, and this really put on a showcase. This was the first Hell in A Cell and it is one of the best matches ever. The two really put on great fighting, great wrestling, and psychology. This saw the debut of KANE.

Undertaker vs. Edge (WWE Tittle Match) TLC Match One Night Stand 2008

Edge and the Undertaker had a lot of matches, but this is the one that stands out for me. The main reason why is because The Undertaker gets dropped through a 3-tiered set of tables. It is an impressive fall and it was fun to watch overall. The TLC option was great here, and Edge really did great against the phenom.

Undertaker vs Jeff Hardy (WWE Title Match) Ladder Match Monday Night Raw July 1, 2002

Undertaker and Jeff Hardy? Yes. Undertaker hit Jeff with the hardest hits you’ve ever seen. Including some of the most brutal chair shots. When Undertaker won the match, and Hardy got back up, the crowd went nuts and Undertaker shook his hand, hugged him, and told him he got his respect. In the back, it was the same, Undertaker gave Jeff Hardy his best, and would lobby for him, because he took on some serious hits in this match. Hardy was the real deal here.

Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan (WWF Title Match) Survivor Series 1991

The biggest match for Undertaker since his initial debut had a lot of people crying. Grown men and children were crying because Hulk Hogan had been made to look weak. Undertaker gave Hogan a tombstone on a chair, and won the title! This was huge in 1991.

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 25

The better match between the two if you ask me. Undertaker was great, and Michaels did a great job against him as well. This was so good, you should see it three or four times. These two put on the best match I’ve seen in a long time.

Undertaker vs. Bret Hart (WWF Title Match) Summerslam 1997

The number one match in the Undertaker’s career, according to me, is simple, Summerslam Hart and Soul. This was the best match that you can see if you have never seen an Undertaker match. Bret Hart put on a showcase of greatness, with Undertaker giving his best too. Shawn Michaels was the guest referee, and the ending was absolutely insane. This was so good, that when the initial broadcast was pushed through, I saw this one twice. That’s right, I saw the replay and the regular event!

That’s it. I hope that Mark aka The Undertaker has a good retirement. He has put in some great work, if you ask me.

WWE 205 Live Results and Review Give Jack Gallagher a Raise

Jack Gallagher Highlights 205 Live - src wwe.com
205 Live had some interesting points, but overall, it was all somewhat predictable, with one exception. If there’s an A show for wrestling, it’s this one. 205 Live is a wonderful display of awesome elements.

WWE 205 Live Results

Akira Tozawa defeated The Brian Kendrick
Rich Swann defeated Oney Lorcan
Austin Aries defeated Tj Perkins, Jack Gallagher, and Mustafa Ali to be the No. 1 Contender

WWE 205 Live Review

This is a pure wrestling show, so let’s discuss that part of it. Well, to be fair, Neville showed up at one point. Neville said a few things, and that’s that.

Akira Tozawa defeated The Brian Kendrick

Tozawa put on a show against Brian Kendrick, as usual. Kendrick faked a knee injury and rolled up Kendrick, leading him to get on the mic and say he has taught Kendrick a lesson. Fun stuff here, with a lot of great moments, even if it wasn’t long.

Rich Swann defeated Oney Lorcan

Oney Lorcan is a ball of fire. From the start, he threw everything he had against Rich Swann. I was impressed with the speed and precision of Lorcan, as he moved as fast as he could through moves, and Swann getting a win, but only after he had to wake up fast. Swann then got on the mic and said that he loved Alicia FOuuuuuuxxxx. Lorcan doesn’t look like much, but is amazing, I can’t wait to see him get more matches.

Austin Aries defeated Tj Perkins, Jack Gallagher, and Mustafa Ali to be the No. 1 Contender

Austin Aries was great here, but it was Mustafa Ali, Tj Perkins, and Jack Gallagher that stole the show. Gallagher especially, wow. Ali is also impressive, and Perkins has some great moves too. This was a fun match, with Aries getting the win at the end and getting another shot at Neville. Gallagher, though, wow. Ali, wow, and Perkins, amazing. Great overall show.

SRC WWE.Com - Randy Orton Gets The Title For Getting Buried by Brock At Summerslam
I am not reviewing Raw. I didn’t get to watch it. I tried to watch it 3 times, but I just couldn’t get a stream. So I gave up on that. HULU is not updating their servers as fast, so I gave up on that.

As for WWE Smackdown Live, I did see that this morning, after a McDonald’s breakfast, orange juice, and a Red Bull. Then I saw 205 Live, and you know what? This is all so predictable. I can’t believe how predictable this show is and was. Let’s discuss this for a moment, but only a moment, because this night of Smackdown was not great.

WWE Smackdown Live April 4, 2017 Results

Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss (WWE Smackdown Women’s Title)
Tye Dillinger defeated Curt Hawkins
Baron Corbin defeated Dean Ambrose in a street fight
Randy Orton and Luke Harper defeated Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan

WWE Smackdown Live April 4, 2017 Review

This was an awful show. It may have been sold out, but it was in no way fun. Orton came out and was phoning it in, then Bray Wyatt showed up on the screen and said that the two will go at it in a “house of horrors” match, or something like that. I don’t remember. Then Bray shows up with Erick Rowan and they get beat up by Orton and Luke Harper. Predictable.

Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss (WWE Smackdown Women’s Title)

Alexa Bliss and Naomi battled in a women’s title match, and it wasn’t very long. It was short, boring and Bliss loses. I like Naomi, but I wish that there were longer matches on Smackdown.

Tye Dillinger defeated Curt Hawkins

Curt Hawkins gets buried. Tye Dillinger was getting 10 chants, and I think he’s great. But he didn’t finish he business he had with NXT’s Sanity. Oh well. Hawkins can’t be buried, since he’s already past dead. Oh well.

Baron Corbin defeated Dean Ambrose in a street fight

I thought this was a match for the Intercontinental Title, it wasn’t. Even in this match, Dean Ambrose was phoning it in. He wrestles the same matches every single time I see him in the ring. This was another cookie cutter match, and Corbin won, only there wasn’t the title on the line, so this is a stupid match concept for nothing. Ambrose loses, is still champion, and that’s it. Good match, but predictable.

Randy Orton and Luke Harper defeated Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan

Another boring match, that I gave up on in the middle of the whole thing. It was so lackluster, you can’t possibly of liked this again. I was bored. I gave up, and the winners were telegraphed.

Mauro Renallo is done. You heard it here first. Renallo is getting replaced by Jim Ross. That’s just my two cents.

WWE Wrestlemania 33 Results and Review 7 Hours and The End of The Undertaker

The Undertaker Retires After Wrestlemania - src wwe.com
WWE Wrestlemania 33 has come and gone. The show was insane, because it was 7 hours long. Not since the WWE did 14 hours of Mania in 1998, have I sat around and watched so much WWE. I started this thing at 5 PM and held on past midnight. I also woke up at 3 AM because I can’t sleep. Not because of WWE, but because I just have a hard time sleeping.

With that all in mind, let’s discuss the event and how it all went down, because I wasn’t all wrong about what would happen.

WWE Wrestlemania 33 Results

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville def. Austin Aries
Mojo Rawley won the 4th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose def. Baron Corbin
AJ Styles def. Shane McMahon
Kevin Owens def. United States Champion Chris Jericho
Raw Women’s Champion Bayley def. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax (Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match)
The Hardy Boyz won a Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match to win the Raw Tag Team Championship
John Cena and Nikki Bella def. Miz and Maryse
Cena asks Nikki to marry him
Seth Rollins def. Triple H (Non-Sanctioned Match)
Randy Orton def. Bray Wyatt to win the WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar def. Goldberg to win the Universal Champion
Naomi def. Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Mickie James to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Roman Reigns def. The Undertaker

WWE Wrestlemania 33 Review

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville def. Austin Aries

Neville and Aries put on a very good match. I said this would happen, and this time around everyone was in their seats. I’m always surprised by how over Aries is. He had the crowd with him, until the end. The match started to get into a strong style of fighting, and it looked like Aries was going to win this one, until Neville raked his eyes and basically caused him to let go of a sure thing submission. Neville then hit his final spots and won this. Aries did not win, like I said, and it was an incredible opener.

Mojo Rawley won the 4th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Not one person called this. Not one person. Gronk from the Patriots was ringside, and got involved with this match, but it was Mojo Rawley that won after the dust was settled. Not one person that I know called Mojo winning, so good for him.

Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose def. Baron Corbin

The pre-show concluded with the intercontinental title match, and for the most part this was Baron Corbin putting on a show. Dean Ambrose wrestled the same match we’ve seen him wrestle 900 times. I guess that’s ok. He was moments away from losing, but managed his Dirty Deeds DDT and got the clean pin, that’s that. The first time Dean defends his title in like 80 days, and he wins clean. Corbin will most likely get the win down the line.

AJ Styles def. Shane McMahon

I still do not agree with how long this match went. Styles went through a LONG match with Shane. Shane should not be able to hang with the former champion, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re the boss’s son. You can hang with the champions like you have a fighting chance. Shane eventually missed a bunch of big spots, leading Styles to get the win.

Kevin Owens def. United States Champion Chris Jericho

A predictable, entertaining match that was highlighted by a giant list of Jericho. Other than that, this wasn’t that good at all. It was workable, but I didn’t care for it. Now that Owens is the champion, maybe he’ll get some great defenses.

Raw Women’s Champion Bayley def. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax (Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match)

This match was interesting for a moment, but logically didn’t make sense to me. Why would Charlotte team up with the others to get Nia out? Flair should’ve let Sasha and Bayley do all the work while she waited. Ric would’ve let them battle, like he would do in Lethal Lotteries, but that’s ok. This match eventually broke down to Charlotte and Bayley, with Bayley winning. This wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad.

The Hardy Boyz won a Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match to win the Raw Tag Team Championship

The Hardy Boyz showed up and 70,000 plus people were chanting “DELETE, DELETE, DELETE” and it was surreal. The guys came down and did some great spots, but it wasn’t all them. Everyone involved put on a show, including Big Cass, and Enzo. It was a fun romp with a lot of great moments, but in the end it was Broken Matt Hardy that got the win, and a HUGE ovation from the crowd.

John Cena and Nikki Bella def. Miz and Maryse

I hated this. Miz and Maryse were completely buried. Ok, they weren’t completely. Miz did most of the heavy lifting, hitting Cena with a lot of offense before he eventually was buried by Super John Cena. John Cena then proposed to Nikki, and that was that.

Seth Rollins def. Triple H (Non-Sanctioned Match)

A slow moving, very illogical street fight ensued. Triple H had an incredible entrance. Stephanie McMahon looked amazing, and wow, what a beautiful woman she was tonight. Seth Rollins put on a show of everything but the kitchen sink. However, the dude had a knee injury, but was forgetting to sell it most of the time. Triple H accidentally pushed Stephanie through a table, and Rollins would get the win.

Randy Orton def. Bray Wyatt to win the WWE Championship

Orton and Wyatt, wow, what a terrible match. Orton wins, in a very strange, and boring affair. The ring had maggots and worms projected on it after a few spots, and well, an RKO out of nowhere and it was done. What a lousy match.

Brock Lesnar def. Goldberg to win the Universal Champion

Not like I thought it would be, Lesnar buried Goldberg. Under 5 minutes, and Lesnar, the 12 million dollar part timer, and drug cheater won the Universal title. B.S. and that’s the end.

Naomi def. Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Mickie James to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship

This match was absolutely rushed, and it was Naomi with the win. I love her, she deserves it, but the match was so rushed that it was just kind of boring.

Roman Reigns def. The Undertaker

Wow. What a terrible way to end the show. The Undertaker looked so old, so tired. He didn’t have much left in the tank, and it showed. Roman Reigns took a beating, no doubt, but The Undertaker couldn’t do a lot. He didn’t walk the ropes, and couldn’t lift Roman for the Last Ride. Roman couldn’t lift Undertaker for a tombstone, and it was painful to watch this match. It was lumbering, it was tired, and Roman Reigns eventually won and left the ring.

The Undertaker stayed in the ring, then left his gloves, coat, and hat in the middle. That was it. The show ended with Taker going up the ramp, and then going away. Undertaker has retired, and that was that.

Wrestlemania 33 Final Thoughts

I do not like the 7 hour show format. I do not like the throwaway of some of the talent. There were no cruiserweights other than the opening pre-show matches. The Smackdown Tag titles weren’t defended, the women’s matches were short. I just didn’t think this Wrestlemania was that good. Not only that, there is no way they could fit 75,000 people in that stadium, it only holds 65,000.

At the end of the night, this was a longwinded, overblown schlock fest. Takeover was more fun, if you ask me. I will think about going next year, because I really liked the idea of sitting at the show, but then again, 7 hours? I don’t know if I want to sit for 7 hours to watch wrestling, when I can do that at home. This was not a terrible Wrestlemania, but the booking didn’t make sense at times, and the matches were lacked chemistry in others. Other than that, it’s a forgettable Wrestlemania for me. It is not going to live on like the first 17 did, I’m sorry.

What are your thoughts on Wrestlemania? Drop me a line, share this, and I’ll see you for Raw sooner than later.

Brock Lesnar Makes More As A Part Timer Than Every Other Wrestler In The World

This Idiot Makes More Money Than All of the Top Stars in WWE, Part Time
The wrestling business is a weird one. It’s a place where you can make a lot of money. But it’s also a place where you can drown in obscurity, make little to no money, and that’s it. Recently, news broke that Brock Lesnar and John Cena are the WWE’s highest paid. There’s no doubt in my mind that John Cena has earned his keep, and is well worth the $8 million dollars that he is given.

But how much does Brock Lesnar make?

When I read this figured, I nearly spit out my coffee.

Let’s not forget that this is the guy that has failed drug tests, openly said he didn’t care for or liked the Wrestling business, and that he doesn’t give two flying F’s what Stephanie McMahon thinks.

He’s also the guy that bloodied Randy Orton the hard way, inciting Chris Jericho and others to nearly fight him in the back.

It’s also the guy that told Vince to keep writing checks, and big ones if he wants him to stay, otherwise he doesn’t need wrestling.

This is the guy that got buried by Goldberg, mind you.

Suffice to say, that for part time work, doing drugs, getting caught, retiring UFC, and all of the b.s. that Lesnar has said and done, he made $12 million dollars.

Let that sink in.

He made 12 effin MILLION DOLLARS in 2016.

That’s part time work, for more pay than even JOHN CENA.

So when Lesnar gets buried, I sure as hell hope it’s one last time, because this is just a damn joke.

Bork Lazer gets 12 million dollars. Highest paid wrestler, and doesn’t give two cents about you the fan, or wrestling. He said it himself. Holy hell.

Don’t believe me? Read the Forbes article yourself. Part timers get PAID!

WWE NXT Takeover April 2, 2017 Results and Review Greatest Tag Match Ever

This morning I woke up at 3 am. I don’t get more than 5 hours of sleep a day. I have a hard time sleeping, and it’s wearing on me. I did get to watch NXT Takeover, and it made me wish I went to Orlando. Maybe next year, I will be able to do that. Whatever the case is, here is how this all went down.

WWE NXT Takeover April 2, 2017 Review

The first thing that I noticed is that there were 14,000 some odd people at the Amway center. Like I said, I really felt jealous for not going. I am not usually a jealous person, but this show really made me envious of everyone there.

Sanity defeated Tye Dillinger, Kassius Ohno, Ruby Riot, and Roderick Strong

This was a very cool option. Sanity is really fun to watch. Ohno, Dillinger, Riot, and Strong threw out a lot of action. This is a great match with a lot of action. Sanity is like Bray Wyatt’s group, only more interesting to me. They put the boots to the good guys, and at the end, Killian Dame got the pin. This was awesome, just a really good match. Kassius Ohno replaced No Way Jose, and he was great, he put on a show in this one, but Sanity got the win.

Aleister Black defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas

Aleister Black reminds me of Dharma Punx, a book about Zen. It gave me an idea about writing a new book about Zen Buddhism and skateboarding. Black is cool, Almas looks like he is miserable, but he’s doing his job. Black won with a kick called the Black Mass, and that’s it. I like Black’s style, but this isn’t that grand, just yet.

NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defeated DIY and The Revival

I wasn’t expecting much out of this match, and then things started to pick up. Holy crap this is a 5 star classic if you ask me. The tag team champions took on 4 guys basically, because they teamed up at times. There was so much to this, so many spots, so many great moments. The Authors of Pain looked strong as they won this match. They were able to eliminate DIY and The Revival, but not without taking some serious damage, going through a table, and so much more. This was amazing, just amazing, wow. Favorite spot was the superplex off the top rope into 4 of the team members. Just wow.

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka defeated Ember Moon

This started with a frenetic pace. Ember Moon can hang with Asuka. Asuka was able to throw down a lot, don’t get me wrong, she was putting the boots to Moon, but Moon was able to throw out so many pieces of offense, it was amazing. I loved it. I loved how well she worked, but alas, she did not win. Asuka won, but only after one hell of a battle. This was a great match.

NXT Champion Bobby Roode defeated Shinsuke Nakamura

What a boring match. Shinsuke Nakamura is not a good match for Roode. Roode was boring. He won this match and it was fun. Nakamura lost this one, and he threw out some of the same old push. I didn’t like this match, and that was that.
