WWE Smackdown April 11, 2017 Results and Review The B Show

WWE Smackdown Featured A Nonsensical Burial - src wwe.com
If you think that Smackdown is anything but the B show, you’re absolutely delusional. With this latest shake up, the brand is absolutely dumbfounding. It’s perhaps the worst roster I’ve seen in a while, and that’s not hyperbole. I’ll get to that in the review, but wow, what a lackluster show.

WWE Smackdown April 11, 2017 Review

“There will always be a spot for you on Raw Sami” – Kurt Angle

The opening of the show had Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens show up as part of the shake up. This comes 24 hours after Kurt Angle told Sami Zayn that there was a spot for him on Raw. Kevin Owens shows up in a suit and tie, without his trademark pubic hair beard. Scott Steiner commented on this, “He’s Fat!”.

Randy Orton vs. Erick Rowan (No Contest)

What a waste of a match. Erick Rowan was buried last week, and he was on his way to the burial plot this week. Bray Wyatt came on the screen and said that he was going to take the title from Orton at the House of Whores match. Oh, it’s not whores? I’m being told that it’s HORRORS. Oh well.

The Usos defeated American Alpha (Title Match)

No one cared about this. I didn’t, and neither did the guys in the match, as they were phoning it in. The same moves you’ve seen 100 times before, and the Usos pretend that they are important on a brand that didn’t even put them on the Wrestlemania card. This was ok at best. Fun little match, American Alpha are floundering on Smackdown.

Post-match the Puerto Ricans showed up and showed off that they were the dominant team now. I guess they aren’t inviting people to the Shining Stars resort anymore?

Mojo Rawley defeated Jinder Mahal

Jinder My Balls, just 24 hours after injuring Finn Balor gets a chance to wrestle Mojo Rawley and get buried. Jinder My Balls, according to many sources, is set to get a huge push, and I don’t know why, honestly.

Charlotte Flair and Tamina are Now In The Women’s Division

It was announced that Charlotte Flair and Tamina are now in the women’s division on Smackdown. There are only 6 women on this show, what a revolution, right?

Tye Dillinger defeated Aiden English

Tye Dillinger buried Aiden English. He’s a 7 at best in this match.

Shinsuke Nakamura still cannot speak English

Shinsuke Nakamura interrupted Dolph Ziggler, and could barely speak. He couldn’t even say his full name without making R’s L’s and that’s not a good sign for ESL.

The New Day Is Announced

The New Day is now coming to Smackdown, and I don’t care.

Aj Styles defeated Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn for a U.S. Title Shot

The main event should have been huge, but it wasn’t that grand. In fact, it was kind of boring. Aj Styles is always fun to watch, and Corbin with Zayn was good. However, why would Styles want the United States Title? Honestly, why? There’s no reason why he should be chasing a secondary title. He wins this one, mind you. A decent match, no doubt.

Wait.

What if Randy Orton loses to Bray Wyatt. That means that the WWE Title would go to Raw, and Smackdown’s highest title will be the United States title! Holy crap! You read it here first.
