WWE 205 April 11, 2017 Review

Mustafa Ali defeated The Brian Kendrick

The opening match was stellar. Mustafa Ali is one of the greatest wrestlers I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen him wrestle, you’re not a fan of wrestling. Ali impresses me every time he steps into the ring. He has logic on his side, he puts on a show, and in this match he pulled out all the stops to fight Kendrick’s mat based offense. Kendrick was fun to watch here too, countering some of Ali’s offense, but the inverted 450 was too much.

Give the assist to Akira Tozawa, he run the bell prematurely, and that let Ali get the win. Great stuff here.

Rich Swann defeated Johnny Ocean

Rich Swann beat a jobber.

Post-match Alicia Fox came out and confronted Swann. Then a gift came to the ring and Noam Dar came out to claim it was from him. It exploded in Alicia Fox’s face, and that was that. Swann gets the last laugh.

TJ Perkins defeated Jack Gallagher

Not my favorite match. This seemed forced at times. Perkins can go, and Gallagher does great stuff, but sometimes it comes across a bit slow and forced. The pace picked up and Gallagher outsmarted Perkins at times, but it was TJ that got the big win at the end, thanks to Gallagher knocking himself out with a ring post dive.

Afterwards, Neville and Perkins celebrated together. A good overall 205 Live, but I’m getting tired of Tom Phillips calling all the cation on 4 hours of WWE programming.
