Akira Tozawa defeated Tony Nese
Tony Nese is the most underrated wrestler on the 205 roster. He’s stellar in ring, and Tozawa made him look great too. Tozawa is over with his yelling, and you know what, I’m growing to like the guy. This was a hard style match with Tozawa getting the big win overall. Great opener.
Rich Swann defended Cedric Alexander’s honor
This was nonsense. Alicia Foxx is hot though.
Ariya Daivari defeated Mustafa Ali
Ali is the most incredible of wrestlers. He put on a highlight reel again. I am hoping the best for Mustafa Ali, and if they make a shirt for him, I’m buying it. He is the best wrestler on 205 Live that is just going out and performing 5 star classics. Gulak came out protesting high flying, and that let Ariya Daivari get the win. Daivari’s character is starting to get more rounded out, which is a good thing. This was a great match folks, I loved it, you should love it too.
Austin Aries defeated Tj Perkins
Austin Aries put on an ok show with Tj Perkins. Perkins as a heel is ok, but he needs better talent to work with. I would say to put him on NXT and let him wrestle other guys. This was not a great match. The two didn’t have the chemistry that I thought they would have. Also, I’m not sold on Aries, I don’t see the big deal yet. Oh well. This was a good match, not great, but it was ok. Lots of great back and forth, and good overall maneuvers. Aries wins, getting that burial back from last week or two weeks ago.
Post match, Neville came down and beat up Aries, and that was the end of the night. I’ll have an NXT review tomorrow, and then a review of the first ever Monday Night Raw.
