King of The Ring 2015 Winner

The WWE Network was host for the 2015 King of The Ring, but you already knew that. The show showcased 4 contenders vying for the prize. I was impressed with some of the moments, especially how the new guys were showcased. Here are my thoughts on this event of historic proportions.

Neville defeated Sheamus

I’m not a big Sheamus fan. I still call his move the “BRO” kick. I don’t care. Neville’s stature definitely proves that Sheamus is not a little guy. I thought the match was good, a bit short for my tastes, but it worked for the most part. Neville was able to overcome here, and I’m absolutely impressed with this athleticism. He is so fluid, it’s seems so simple how he moves with so much weight on him. He may very well be the best pure athlete to come around in a long time. Neville’s win came as Sheamus got distracted by Dolph Ziggler. Neville’s going to definitely go far if he stays injury free, unlike that chump Daniel Bryan.

Sheamus and Ziggler brawl was cool. Sheamus got busted open the hard way, which definitely added a good amount of flavor to the match. I liked that touch. Not sure if it was planned however.

Bad News Barrett defeated R Truth

I almost though that R Truth was going to win this one. He had some good offense overall, but it was Bad News that got the win with his finisher, the Bull Hammer. I liked it enough. It wasn’t great, but it had some good moments. It was enough for me to at least not get too bored. Truth can still go, I’m impressed. Bad News is my pick to win this thing as I write this.

Wade Barrett defeated Neville

In a rushed match, Wade Barrett gets the predictable pin here. I think Neville’s great, really, but his offense doesn’t make sense to me. There is no “psychology” to some of the stuff he’s doing. However, it’s refreshing none the less.

This year’s King of the Ring winner Wade Barrett. Good stuff, not great, but hey, it is what it is.

Ambrose Brings The Noise But Still Loses – Raw 1/5/2015 Review

photo src WWE.com
Last night’s Raw was terrible according to most of the podcasts that review the ongoing wrestling elements. I found most of it to be boring, but there were a few highlights, which is what I’ll discuss here. It’s too easy to hate on the show, so I will just talk about what I liked and leave it at that.

Bad News Barrett wins the Intercontinental Championship

I’m not sure why they decided to take the belt of Ziggler. I’m a bit jealous of Ziggler for getting to score with Amy Schumer, but that’s just a personal note. As for this match, it was a nice brawl up front, but it turned out to be a 2 out of 3 falls match when Kane came out to shake things up a bit. I found the whole thing contrived, but the two were able to put on a good match, and that’s what I liked. Ziggler has been on my radar for a long time, and I’ve said he’s been able to steal the show many, many times. I hope they give him a main event push, but then again, this is WWE after all. Good overall match, nice to get Barrett the belt for now, but I’m sure we’ll have some BAD NEWS coming down the line.

Stephanie McMahon’s Body

Did you see the terrible dress that Stephanie McMahon was wearing? I did, but man she has a body. Congrats Trips, as if he needs me to congratulate him. She has definitely a booming body, but she works for it. I can’t keep up with the Triple H or Stephanie work outs, that’s for sure.

Bray Wyatt defeats Dean Ambrose in An Ambulance Match

Out of the other things that I liked, this match was definitely top on my list. Ambrose off the top of the ambulance had me cheering in my house. I loved that spot, and loved the tables painted with the Red Cross logos. Going off the ambulance and hitting that elbow drop should’ve won Dean the match, but nope, Wyatt got away with a win and that’s the end of that. This should’ve closed the show, but alas, it didn’t.

Oh, they announced Seth Rollins vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at the Rumble for the title. What the hell is the briefcase for? Rollins to cash in after he loses the match? Whatever.

The rest of Raw on HULU wasn’t grand. John Cena looks tired. The firing of the 3 idiots was ok I guess. I couldn’t stop staring at Stephanie, I’m sorry. Onto Smackdown, I’m sure. In the meantime, visit Amazon and pick something up, or I don’t know, comment, and say what’s up to your old pal Sir Jorge.

WWE Extreme Rules 2014 Results and Review

WWE Extreme Rules 2014 Results

Torito defeated Hornswoggle

Paige defeated Tamina Snuka

Quality match, Paige is far better than any other diva, and Tamina is a good overall foe. I liked the match and find Paige sexy.

Bray Wyatt defeated John Cena

Lackluster cage match, nothing really worth mentioning. Yes, there was a creepy kid, but who cares...the match sucked.

The Shield defeated Evolution

High quality match with Seth Rollins going "new jack" on Evolution diving off the balcony. Loved that. Batista losing and getting beaten was good. Overall high quality match, hopefully that's the end of Evolution for a long time.

Bad News Barrett defeated Big E

Bad News is the new champ, this was a boring match.

Cesaro defeated RVD and Jack Swagger

Ok matchup, decent pace, RVD is way over, but lost in the shuffle here.

Alexander Ruseve defeated R Truth and Xavier Woods

Boring match, lame gimmick, hot Russian blonde though.
Daniel Bryan defeated Kane

The worst match on PPV I've seen in a long time. WWE has followed up Wrestlemania with the worst match I've seen. Not since Mankind vs The Rock has a match been so blatantly boring and stupid. I'm referring to the match during Superbowl halftime years ago. Daniel Bryan picks up the win, but Kane was stupid throughout. The table fire spot was poorly executed, and no one cares for this match, but whatever.

Overall, this is the worst ppv of 2014 thus far. WWE really knows how to bore people that's for sure.
