WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/27/09 Results

The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme
Matt Hardy defeated CM Punk via disqualification
Batista defeated Kane in a #1 Contender’s Match via countout
John Morrison defeated Escobar
Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/27/09 Review

I’m sick. The holidays really took a lot out of me. Well, just my idiot brother in law and his mouthing off. I ran away on a skateboard in 30 degree weather. But I’m back in action here on my special wwe site. I still have no job, no one buys anything from the links below, and no one wants to hire me….lame.

The show started with Chris Jericho talking smack. He was irate about not getting a title shot. He would get a shot at none other than, the Undertaker later tonight. It would be a non title match. Jericho is gold on the mic.

The Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Tyme

This match was actually not half bad. I’ve seen it so many other times before, but this time it seemed faster, well oiled, and good overall. It might have been the coffee I was drinking, but I was hoping for another Cyme Tyme win. The Hart Dynasty was pushing forward and really put on a good show for the crowd, and millions at home. DH Smith looks a lot more comfortable in ring than he has in the past, and the team might have a bright future, if they continue to get more competition. However, we’ll have to wait and see.

Backstage John Morrison and Escobar had a little meeting with Teddy Long and Vicky. It was a good interchange, but it was Morrison that shown through. Escobar and Vicky makes me sick…seriously sick.

CM Punk came out with a new bodyguard, and he started on the mic talking smack about purity and what not. He would wrestle Matt Hardy tonight, or should I say Fat Hardy. Oh by the way, Luke Gallows (the bodyguard) is Festus! Yep.

Matt Hardy defeated CM Punk via disqualification

This match wasn’t half bad. Hardy was actually pushing the match a little more than usual, and Punk was taking some major offense. However, after the commercial, it was the new guy Luke Gallows that would cost Punk the match. Gallows hit Hardy and then began pummeling him, costing Punk the match.

Cm Punk and Gallows continued to mess up Hardy after the match.

We had a few promo’s happen here, and a few different commercials, but we’re back in action.

Batista defeated Kane in a #1 Contender’s Match via countout

This was a longer match than I thought it would be. Batista was definitely getting worked in this match, but Kane seemed tired at times and was relying on heavy moves to try and make an impact against Batista. Batista wasn’t winning this one easily, as he was getting hit hard at times. Kane played up a knee injury, and Batista spent most of the time trying to gain one step ahead. It finally came when Kane missed a top rope move, and Batista hit the spear. Kane wasn’t going to just go down without a fight, and he was still in this. The match started getting good with lots of cool near falls, and neither man getting the upper hand. Batista out smarted Kane in this match by getting Kane counted out. Not a terrible match, but I would like to see someone get pinned. The wwe has been doing a lot of countouts, and disqualifications lately, not sure why, but it works to get the right foot forward, I guess.

John Morrison defeated Escobar

Escobar didn’t even put up much of a fight against the stellar champion, John Morrison. Morrison took out Escobar without barely busting a sweat. Morrison needs more competition, and it’s not guys like Escobar.

Post match Vickie yelled at Escobar and said she was done with him.

The WWE couldn’t resist giving the American fans a rematch of their over seas main event, and here we saw it again, Jericho and The Undertaker fighting again.

Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification

Jericho had to with stand The Undertaker’s initial onslaught, before the commercial, to get through the match and it was insane. Undertaker seemed to want to put this match away within minutes of the bell ringing, and he had a good overall control. Batista was at ringside, supposed to be doing commentary, and at one point got punked out by Undertaker. However, Jericho jumped ahead and started fighting Jericho with the distraction caused by Batista. Jericho looked like a man possessed, trying his hardest to fight off the dead man at every turn, and it looked good. Jericho almost seemed like he could top the champion. However, Undertaker started turning things around again but was interrupted by Batista, getting Jericho disqualified. Jericho took a cheap shot and hit the Codebreaker, and Batista came in with a chair and started to mop up taker overall.

Post match, Batista kept hitting Taker with a chair. And the commentary was stupid, they kept saying, “I’ve never seen the undertaker dismantled like this”. Really? Man, the announcers have such short memories.
Smackdown wasn’t half bad, I liked it for the most part. It had it’s moments.

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Results and Review Thanksgiving Impact

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Results

Lashley defeated Abyss
Desmond Wolfe defeated Suicide
Kurt Angle defeated The Black Pope
Robert Roode defeated Homicide
Tara won a knockouts battle royal
Bobby Lashley defeated Desmond Wolfe via disqualification
Robert Roode defeated Kurt Angle via countout
Bobby Lashley defeated Robert Roode

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Review

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, I had a good one until my brother in-law decided to be a jerk and I decided to walk home. Now I have a chest/head cold. I woke up this morning and there was no signs of an apology, so I guess I have to be the bigger man, and just not worry about it.

Just like WWE, TNA had a tournament for the #1 contender

Lashley defeated Abyss

TNA apparently was trying to desperately get ratings, because these matches were thrown together. At least WCW had the knowledge to create “Battle Bowl” for these unique match ups to be paid for by the fans on ppv. Lashley seemed frantic, trying to prove to everyone that he could wrestle, and therefore was hitting a lot of power moves, clotheslines, and constantly moving forward. Meanwhile, Abyss was taking punishment, and fighting forward, with both men not getting totally in control. Even after Lashley hitting some big moves, Abyss wasn’t just jobbing out. Lashley hit a spear and a dragon sleeper, and this thing was over. Seriously? A dragon sleeper? Ultimo Dragon should be back…remember when he slipped on his cape in WWE?

Desmond Wolfe defeated Suicide

This was the most predictable match I’ve ever seen. Desmond Wolfe tried to make it interesting by having Suicide counter some moments and fighting back, however, it wasn’t all that great. Wolfe seemed out of place, and Suicide just didn’t seem to have it all together. Desmond Wolfe eventually got the pin after The Tower of London, but man, was he green out there. Oh well, it cuold’ve been worse. Desmond Wolfe will face Lashley later.

Kurt Angle defeated The Black Pope

The Black Pope was in full control of this match, despite Kurt Angle’s superior wrestling prowess. The pope got a lot of good overall offense in, and he was looking really strong against Angle. However, despite all the hot spots, Angle simply reversed the offense and momentum and won the match without really doing much work at all. This match was interesting, but Angle’s quick win was out of left field. I didn’t hate this match, and Angle will go on in the tournament.

Robert Roode defeated Homicide

This was actually kind of cool. Finally a tag team singles match goes the way of the tag team. Now, I don’t want Roode going solo, but it was cool to see that a tag team contender could actually do well against another opponent. I know, this happens often, but after Homicide’s embarrassing appearance on ODB’s show, this was definitely something I liked to see. Homicide has gone down hill in a lot of ways…ever since joining the World Elite.

Tara won a knockouts battle royal

Traci Brooks, The Beautiful People, Sarita, Taylor Wilde, Tara, Hamada, and Daffney Knockouts Battle Royal
W/ referee ODB

This match was a battle royal of sorts. It was actually not wrestled quite well and with the commercial breaks this match seemed too rushed. Tara eventually won, and this thing was over, it wasn’t that great. The knockouts could do way better. No Awesome Kong or Raisha Saeed…at least not a big impact. Oh well…

Bobby Lashley defeated Desmond Wolfe via disqualification

This match was basically a fierce Wolfe squash. Lashley didn’t get much in and Desmond Wolfe really pushed his luck, getting disqualified and losing the match. I didn’t really like it, but I liked where the tournament was going.

Robert Roode defeated Kurt Angle via countout

This match was surprising. Robert Roode hung in there with Angle for a good portion of the match. Move for move Roode and Angle were going back and forth, with no one getting a real edge on this match up. It was a shame when Desmond Wolfe came down to distract Angle because the match was over. Angle was counted out for fighting against Wofle on the ramp…and Roode advances.

Aj Styles and Christopher Daniels had a little scuffle in ring, at least verbally. It was boring, and I didn’t care. I wish the Fallen Angle persona would come back and he wouldn’t be on the mic.

Bobby Lashley defeated Robert Roode

This match was a slow, and Lashley obviously was confused at parts of this match up, with a lot of referee stoppages, and moments where it just seemed that Lashley was lost. Roode was obviously tired, and this match started slowly. I didn’t really think that Roode would end up winning, as I’ve heard that Lashley doesn’t want to be a major player in professional wrestling for too long. The match ended up going well towards the end, with a lot of near falls, and huge hits from Lashley. Roode hung in there though, and after even hitting a nice Fisherman’s Suplex, I thought this one was in the books. However, nope, Lashley hit some hard power moves and it was all over.

ECW on ScyFy 11/24/09 Results and Review

ECW on ScyFy 11/24/09 Results

Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder
Vance Archer defeated Jobber (Alex something…I forget)
Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal

ECW on ScyFy 11/24/09 Review

Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder

I know I should be interested in ECW a little more than other shows, since it’s concise, to the point and features a lot of wrestling. However, I just fail to get into Shelton Benjamin these days. Zack Ryder, if pushed like Ziggler, could end up being a good overall wrestler. But to me, Benjamin’s boat has already sailed. But in this match, he seemed to be fighting for his life, as he was trying to get out of the clutches of Ryder, who tried to prove to his lady friend that he was quite good without help. This match had some good back and forth, but it seemed painfully obvious that Benjamin might have been pre-occupied, as he missed a few spots, and Ryder had to try and “carry” the match at points. Overall, not a bad match though. Benjamin was the one that ended up on top, and maybe, rightfully so.

Post match, I find out that Benjamin is the number one contender to the ECW title, and that might be a good feud. It probably won’t be a feud, it’s going to be one major match. Shelton Benjamin and Christian in a ladder match for the ECW title!

Vance Archer defeated Jobber (Alex something…I forget)

This was another squash match. I’m not sure how long the WWE will have these squash matches, but they are getting old fast, that’s for sure.

Fat Matt Hardy was on the Abraham Washington Show. I’m still not sure what Abraham offers to the WWE, but whatever.

Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal

This was a faster match than I anticipated, and while Tatsu was getting hit hard for the most part of this match up, he managed to get one over on Regal. Despite some interference from Kozlov, Regal just couldn’t kick out of that big roundhouse kick.

Post match, Ezekiel Jackson basically quit the Regal team by hitting both Kozlov and Regal with his finishing move? I don’t know. He’s on his own now.

Monday Night Raw 11/23/09 Results and Review 3 Hours and Jesse Ventura

Monday Night Raw 11/23/09 Results

Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler
Sheamus defeated Finlay
John Cena defeated CM Punk
R Truth, MVP, and Mark Henry defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jack Swagger, and Chris Masters
Randy Orton defeated Evan Bourne
Mickie James, Melina, and Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool, Layla, and Jillian
Special guest time keeper: The Gobbly Gooker
Dx defeated The Hart Dynasty
Sheamus won a #1 Contender Battle Royal

Monday Night Raw 11/23/09 Review

The show was supposed to start with Jesse Ventura, but instead it was Randy Orton that we got. Randy Orton started whining about how he needs to get a title shot against John Cena. Again? I hope this never happens.

Jesse the Body Ventura finally made his way own to the ring, and started to call out Orton. Jesse Ventura said that a revolution will take place, and that the next wwe title contender will get a title shot, the only catch? They can only be someone that has never been a world championship!

There will be qualifying matches through the night, the winners will got to a battle royal, and the winner will get a title shot.

Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler and Kofi? I had some high hopes, all things considered. Ziggler started the aggressor, and Kofi had to battle back, but was up to the task. The match had some great spots, with dead on timing. Kofi hit his line up of moves, and Ziggler was step by step avoiding Kingston’s more prominent moves, until he made one quick mistake and Kingston finally made him pay.

Sheamus defeated Finlay

Now this is something, Finlay and Sheamus! Wow, this should be interesting. Finlay started this match by hitting Sheamus hard, as if he was going to win this one. But it was Sheamus that seemed to be in control and after hitting what looked like a Razor’s Edge, he pinned Finlay. Man, Finlay is on a major losing streak.

Post match, Sheamus beat up Finlay some more. Finlay needs back up, big time.

CM Punk gave a heel promo before his match, the usual.

John Cena defeated CM Punk

CM Punk and John Cena? Free? Man, WWE is giving the matches away tonight. It started with Punk in control and Cena powering through some of his moves. Punk fought Cena’s onslaught of power moves, and Cena reversed the initial GTS attempts. Eventually Punk was hit with the STF and it looked like Punk was going to tap, but managed to get out, and knock Cena hard with a huge boot to the head. Both men couldn’t one up each other enough for a win, and it was interesting to note that while I knew where this match was going, they didn’t make it a squash match. Cena took Punk to the top rope and hit a huge Attitude Adjustment, winning a hard fought match. Despite Punk’s loss, it was still a good match up.

R Truth, MVP, and Mark Henry defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jack Swagger, and Chris Masters

This was such a fast match, that I didn’t even have time to enjoy it. It was all the red team, and that’s about it. They won with ease.

Dx had a funny bit, and we find out that they are being sued by Hornswoggle.

Evan Bourne vs Primo (no contest)

Primo was supposed to be in this match, but he got beat up by Randy Orton on his way down to the ring.

I can’t believe that Primo is still employed.

Randy Orton defeated Evan Bourne

Randy Orton would be allowed to fight and see if he could get into the battle royal later on, but he would have to beat Evan Bourne. Man, if Orton wins, I’m going to be really upset folks…I can not ever get behind an Orton vs Cena match, ever again. Why does the WWE even employ Bourne? Bourne loses again, in not so dramatic fashion. Orton wins…I hate wwe right now.

Mickie James, Melina, and Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool, Layla, and Jillian
Special guest time keeper: The Gobbly Gooker

This match sucked. Besides the outfits, there was nothing to see here. This match was so stupid…I hate the divas.

Inside the outfit, guess who? Maryse!

Dx defeated The Hart Dynasty

No surprise here. The match did seem to swing into the favor of The Hart Dynasty early on, but it was short lived. Micheals and Triple H couldn’t let anyone on the roster get glory tonight, since they did job for Cena at the ppv. So they win, in not so dramatic fashion.

Batista came out to ringside to cut a promo.

Kane came out and punked out Batista! That’s right, Kane Punked out Batista!

Legacy defeated Cryme Tyme

Wow, this was a lackluster match with little to no merit. I thought it was going to get good, but it turned out to be terrible.

Sheamus won a #1 Contender Battle Royal
Featuring commentary from Vince McMahon and Jesse The Body Ventura

The participants were all the winners from tonight.

This was a slow moving match up with not a whole lot of merit. The final three was interesting. Sheamus, Kofi, and Orton were the final three and Orton and Kofi were killing each other. Orton hit a nice neckbreaker on Sheamus, basically burying him and his "tough guy" persona.

Kofi threw out Randy Orton!

Sheamus threw out Kofi Kingston!

Yep...Sheamus is the #! contender to the WWE championship!

WTF! That's all I can say about this night in wrestling.

They had a contract signing between John Cena and Sheamus and Cena went through a table. The WWE Championship will get defended in a tables match!

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/21/09 Results and Review The Brothers of Destruction

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/21/09 Results

Batista defeated Matt Hardy
Drew McIntyre defeated Finlay
John Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler best two out of three falls for the intercontinental championships
Mickie James defeated Layla
Rey Mysterio vs Tyson Kidd (dq? No contest? I don’t know…Batista interfered)
The Brothers of Destruction vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/21/09 Review

The show immediately opened up with the reason why I still watch wwe…wrestling.

Batista defeated Matt Hardy

This was a cool match, at least in the on set. Matt Hardy didn’t just roll over and let Batista beat him up, he put in some offense, and was working on staying in there as long as possible. Even while Batista was setting up Hardy in rest holds, Hardy managed to get offense in. This was a good thing, making Batista work for his win, and not just squashing Hardy as a jobber. Hardy even countered the Batista Bomb! This match, although shorter than usual, managed to be quite impressive. Hardy countered the spear too! This was not a squash job, which made me cheer for once. Batista ended up winning the match, but Hardy was there step by step fighting back.

Drew McIntyre defeated Finlay

Finlay came out and brawled with Drew. However, in a stupid turn of events Drew hit Finlay with an eye gauge his ddt finisher and won with ease. What the heck? Finlay gets one eye rake and it’s over? The same Finlay that fought in a junkyard with the rest of the hardcore title guys in WCW? WWE took a misstep in this match. It was like a reverse squash…if that exists.

CM Punk cut the longest promo I’ve seen in a long time. He cut a straightedge promo with three major examples, visuals, trash cans, just boredom. Then R Truth came out to settle the mood, and finally change things up a little. In one of the best feud starters in a long time, R Truth knocked Punk nearly unconscious with a trash can full of cigarettes! Yep. That’s right, he beat the crap out of Punk then dumped a trashcan of cigarettes over him! There will be blood! Right?

John Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler best two out of three falls for the intercontinental championship

This match started of fast, with good movement. Morrison even went for Starship Pain early, but was thwarted by Ziggler, who put a knee up. Morrison then quickly rolled up Ziggler for the first pinfall!

The second fall was a good overall match. Ziggler controlled most of this match up, and it looked like he could gain a foothold in this match. He was focusing on Morrison’s back and really putting a good amount of offense in. This was not a squash match by any stretch of the imagination. Ziggler got the pinfall, and it was 1 to 1.

The third fall was key, as it really showed that Ziggler is so close to getting a belt. However, Morrison just was one step ahead, and really is the future of the WWE if he continues to put on displays like he did in the third fall. Ziggler and Morrison put on a hefty match up and it showed. Morrison scored the third fall after hitting Starship Pain and man…he got an ovation.

Mickie James defeated Layla

Layla was fighting Mickie James, if you can call it fighting. Mickie James easily defated the Smackdown Diva, and it was not much of a challeng. I was a little bored. Mickie James needs more wrestling competition, simply put.

Post match, Mickie James got made fun of by Michelle McCool with a hilarious promo that was supposed to make fun of Mickie James, but instead just seemed so cheesy. I didn’t care for it, but it apparently made Mickie James cry. Whatever…she’s been getting fat lately.

Rey Mysterio vs Tyson Kidd (dq? No contest? I don’t know…Batista interfered)

Tyson Kidd looked like a man possessed out there. He was taking it to Rey in a way I haven’t seen Kidd wrestle. He was fighting fast, and had been one step ahead of Mysterio throughout the first part of this match. Kidd was definitely stepping up his game for this and was really showcasing that he’s quite good. Mysterio of course would make him pay for a subtle mistake, gaining an edge over Kidd with some high spots, including going to the top rope….but it was Batista that caused this match’s finale.

Batista interfered, pushed Kidd away and Mysterio pounced on Batista, humiliating him for the second straight week. It was fast, and it was rad. This was a good set up for their match, even if it did come at the price of Tyson Kidd’s stellar performance against Mysterio.

Kane & The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show (no contest?)

These guys make for quite the match up. The match started with Kane and Jericho getting into it, and it wasn’t half bad. Kane, for once, started looking like the Kane of old, methodical yet fast. Hitting Jericho with a slew of offense that we don’t get out of the Big Slow Machine anymore. The Undertaker got a tag and he too was working fast, and Jericho seemed outmatched by the big guys, until he tagged in The Big Show! The Brothers of Destruction were definitely in control of this match in the early goings, until the second commercial break.

Remember when The Brothers of Destruction took on DDP & Christian in a cage match? Remember DDP getting squashed for stalking “Sarah”? It was great, DDP never recovered from that angle….sad huh? Whatever…DDP vs Goldberg at Halloween Havoc 98 is all I need from DDP; that and when he wrestled Macho Man…twice.

Back to the match:

Undertaker went “old school” which is rad, because this time it wasn’t “vintage”. The big guys were in complete control of the tag champions. Jericho wasn’t getting much of a chance to shine, and Big Show was trying to get a few shots in, and while he was getting in there good, he wasn’t able to put away the big guys alone. Jericho eventually was able to get some offense on Kane, but only after Big Show softened him up a little. You might remember that Jericho fought Kane in a Last Man Standing match when Jericho was still Y2J, and Jericho fought him hard back then, and still managed to get some offense in now…several years later. However, Kane was able to turn things around with a counter to the Lionsault. Jericho eventually was in there with Undertaker and was in the midst of getting the Walls of Jericho on Taker, but Taker was putting on the hells gate choke, only to get leg dropped by The Big Show! This match was getting really interesting, and the action spilled out to the floor and this thing turned into a brawl…which reminds me, why was there no standing 10 count outside the ring? Oh well. The Brothers of Destruction isolated Chris Jericho in the ring, and this was the end of Jericho. Jericho was hit with a huge chokeslam from Kane, a big boot from Undertaker, only to get Big Show back in to equalize the situation.

However, Jericho hit the Codebreaker on Big Show then stole the world championship belt and ran off! Big Show and Undertaker were left in the ring, and the ref was confused, as was I.

The show was good, the main event was good too, although confusing. I’m not sure what he point is of having these no ending matches…I would appreciate someone winning or losing…geez.

TNA Impact 11/19/09 Results and Review A New Era

TNA Impact 11/19/09 Results

Amazing Red defeated Scott Steiner via dq
The Motor City Machine Guns & Beer Money Inc. defeated The World Elite
Hamada defeated Taylor Wilde
Abyss defeated Raven & Stevie Richards via disqualification
Sarita defeated Alissa Flash
Team 3D & Rhino defeated The Black Pope, Hernandez, and Matt Morgan
Christopher Daniels & Desmond Wolfe defeated Aj Styles & Kurt Angle

TNA Impact 11/19/09 Review

The show started with Abyss and Mick Foley coming down to the ring. There was some random frustrations talked about but that prompted Raven to come out with Doctor Stevie and of course more random yelling and what not. They set up a match, I am not interested; and after the break we get an interview with Styles and Angle arguing over the world title.

Amazing Red defeated Scott Steiner via dq

This match makes no major sense to me at all. Scott Steiner and Amazing Red is more than an obvious mis-match, and a potential to get Amazing Red hurt by Steiner’s sloppy wrestling. Steiner killed Red through the whole match, Red had no major offense, and when Steiner got tired he grabbed a lead pipe and cost himself the match.

Post match, Bobby Lashley ran down to save the day. This was a boring match, and pointless to me. Steiner doesn’t need to prove himself, it’s Lashley that needs to prove himself, after losing to Steiner at the ppv.

Kevin Nash and Erik Young had an interview…I’m sick of interviews on TNA….man this company needs to stop this B.S I’m sick of TNA.

The Motor City Machine Guns & Beer Money Inc. defeated The World Elite

Despite there being too many people in this match, and too many agendas to sift through, the guys in this match tried to make it more than a spot fest. It was hard to follow some of the action because there just is too much going on, and I hate the six sided ring. The World Elite lost control of this one several times, and eventually lost the match when Big Rob’s interference back fired. This match was too short, but had too many factions working and while one team one, it made no sense to me why it was moving the way it was. If you like spots, there were a lot here, but no where near a good match, it was just thrown together.

Hamada defeated Taylor Wilde

I’m a big fan of the TNA Knockouts for various reasons. This was quite a good match up, but it was pure Hamada. Hamada really brought her strong style Japanese wrestling style and took it to Taylor Wilde, proving yet again that you can be a good wrestler and not necessarily be a “diva”. Too bad WWE doesn’t care or watch this type of talent.

Abyss defeated Raven & Stevie Richards via disqualification

Mick Foley was supposed to be partners with Abyss, but at the start of this match, there was no Foley. Abyss started the match and was getting a good amount of offense in against these former ECW superstars. (can I call them superstars?) Anyways, this match featured a classic ECW throwback, and started out as a handicap match in a lot of ways. Mike Tenay saying “goozle” was just stupid. Abyss was doing an ok job facing both dudes, but it was obvious that Foley needed to be there to help out. Raven was trying to hit a fireball but it never worked out…the ref found the crap and disqualified Raven and Steven Richards, and this match went to the toilet. Tna sucks.

Post match Raven and Richards beat up Abyss, I got to stare at daffney and once again we hit commercial time….this is past the one hour mark, and yet no good wrestling outside of the knockouts.

Homicide was the guest on the ODB show. I hated this segment…man…TNA sucks.

Sarita defeated Alissa Flash

These two TNA knockouts are semi-new and I’ve seen them wrestle each other several times. They weren’t that good this time around. I’ve seen them do some great things in ring, but they just seemed tired in this match and it wasn’t that great. Sure they were better than any divas match I’ve seen this year, but it wasn’t up to snuff.

Post match Traci Brooks attacked Flash…I was bored.

Backstage Foley got choked out again by Doctor Stevie and Raven; once again Daffney was the best part for me.

Team 3D & Rhino defeated The Black Pope, Hernandez, and Matt Morgan

This match started out with a brawl, and then settled down a little with Bubba Ray and Hernandez getting this match going. The match immediately went into a spotfest with Hernandez flying through the air onto the outside. The Pope started throwing in a ton of plunder into the ring, and this thing was about to get interesting. This match wore thin fast, and the younger guys were taking control through the extreme rules match, but couldn’t muster up enough experience to miss going through tables, getting hit with 3D and more. The former Naval officer Jesse Neal showed up and helped get the win for the ECW alumni, in this wild extreme match up. Matt Morgan looked legit hurt after taking a bump where he leg dropped a blank table. It looked bad.

Christopher Daniels & Desmond Wolfe defeated Aj Styles & Kurt Angle

The main event this time around was interesting to say the least. It wasn’t much of a match, but it had enough gusto to keep me entertained. The match ups were distinct, each member wanting a shot at a particular wrestler. Styles seemed a bit over confident at times, and Angle just wanted a shot at Wolfe and it cost him. Wolfe was impressive in there, barely getting through Style’s attempts at winning, which would have worked on any other wrestler. Daniels helped get Wolfe out of trouble and ended up getting the pin after the Best Moonsault Ever. Overall, I didn’t hate this match, and it had enough to make it through the main event status, considering it was shorter than most main events in wrestling history.

TNA tries to entertain, but it still sucks. If Hogan is really going to make a difference, I hope he changes the six sided ring, and hopefully we get more wrestling instead of just random interviews and segments…Tna’s product is just subpar right now.

Ecw on ScyFy 11/17/09 Results and Review Punk Returns to ECW

Ecw on ScyFy 11/17/09 Results

Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill
Vance Archer defeated Johnny Andrews
CM Punk & William Regal defeated R Truth & Christian

Ecw on ScyFy 11/17/09 Review

Alright, we are back in black of sorts, CM Punk shows up to his old show and promises a good time. This is ECW from Philadelphia!

Zack Ryder in ring talks about Rosa and then out came Shelton Benjamin. Nothing too extreme happened, unless you count Shelton Benjamin on the mic…now that’s extreme. Nothing happened other than a match will probably take place between them, yet again, at a later time.

Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill

Hurricane cme to wrestle, and it showed, he was all over Burchill, throwing out all his offense early on and proving that he’s still as high flying as he was in previous yeas. Just “different” now, and fat, right? That being said, this match had a lot of back and forth action, with Burchill getting some great moves in, but it was Hurrricane that impressed with a huge top rope neck breaker to win this thing and now guess what? Paul Burchill’s career is over! Fire that fool..this was mask vs career.

Vance Archer defeated Johnny Andrews

Vance Archer beat up another jobber, this match wasn’t worth much, unless you like squash matches.

CM Punk & William Regal defeated R Truth & Christian

This match seemed to have started late in the show, but even with that, they seemed to put together a good overall match up. Christian and Truth were definitely doing their fast paced offense, while Regal and Punk were slowing things down towards the middle of the match. They isolated R Truth and focused on his knee, and it looked like the beginning of the end for him. Despite getting the hot tag, and getting into the match late, Christian wasn’t able to overcome the odds and after a huge GTS was out cold. CM Punk got the pinfall, and won this match for his team.

Overall a rushed ECW, but hey, it wasn’t terrible. No Abraham Washington.

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/16/09 Results and Review Piper in NYC

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/16/09 Results

The Miz defeated MVP to retain the U.S Title
Santino defeated Chavo Guerrero
Jack Swagger defeated Evan Bourne
Melina defeated Alicia Fox in a lumberjill (jack) match
Randy Orton vs Hot Rod Roddy Piper (no contest)
John Cena & The Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho & Big Show and Dx

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/16/09 Review

Roddy Piper showed up backstage with Luiz Guzman and the Iron Shiek and it was hilarious. I liked it. Bobby Flay was suppose to come out, but instead we got the Iron Shiek instead of the Iron Chef! Hahah, I laughed.

The Miz came out and cut a great heel promo.

The Miz defeated MVP

MVP gets a title shot? What the hell? We must be in an alternate universe….what the hell? MVP’s arms are exposed? I’m dreaming right?

The Miz started this match off fast and MVP had to come back from it. MVP had this thing sewed up at times, but Miz was proving that he’s no paper champion. I’m impressed with how much The Miz has improved and love how MVP was also getting some good offense in, overall an alright match up, given it’s the first match of the night. The Playmaker looked to be inevitable, but was reversed into a big boot from MVP and this thing was going all MVP. The Skull Crushhing Finale was hit out of nowhere, and this thing was in the records book. A somewhat impressive win for The Miz, and you know what? He’s improved a lot more than I’d have given Miz credit for.

Santino defeated Chavo Guerrero

Santino came out with four New York Team jerseys on!

Chavo started this match immediately with the three amigos, and then followed that up with an attempt for the Frog Splash, but it was too far away, so he switched sides. Santino was smart enough to roll away from the corners, forcing Chavo to switch sides again, and this was a nice comedy routine.

Hornswoggle came out in DX gear and distracted Chavo, Santino rolled him up and Santino won a match, in a NY Yankees Jersey! Chavo once again gets embarrassed!

Immediately after the match, out came none other than DX to an extreme ovation. EXXXXTREME! Hahah, I’m in good spirits…despite a long night of no sleep.

DX cut a promo about how they are a unit and what not, then they dealt with Hornswoggle. It was lame. They called out the little guy and promised that he would be a part of DX only to pedigree him into oblivion! That was stupid….man, that’s messed up son.

Melina defeated Alicia Fox in a lumberjill (jack) match

Alicia Fox sucks. This match was too fast, and didn’t develop into much of anything. In fact, this match was over before I could even look up…it was dumb.

The post match was great though, all the Divas jumped in and they were fighting back and forth. Of course Team Mickie James stood in ring together, united, but it was Judah (30 Rock) who got in good with some dancing and what not.

Roddy Piper came out to the ring and ran his mouth, made some jokes, and then dropped what seemed like a bad idea. He called out Vince McMahon and challenged him to a match!

Sheamus came out, challenged anyone to come out and defeat him (shades of Honky Tonk Man) and instead beat up the ring announcer, then attacked King Jerry Lawler. All in all, a stupid way to get Sheamus over, I don’t care about him, and I don’t think anyone should. Unless King gets revenge.

Jack Swagger defeated Evan Bourne

We get this match, yet again, and this time Swagger was in control throughout the whole match. He was like a man possessed, he was not about to be embarrassed again, and he proved it. He treated Evan Bourne like a jobber, and he literally annihilated Bourne…Bourne never had a chance…ouch.

Randy Orton vs Hot Rod Roddy Piper (no contest)

Randy Orton came out instead of McMahon and fought Piper. Orton basically killed Piper, with ease, and that’s unfortunate. Kofi Kington ran down for the save and started to take out Randy Orton, with Piper there coaching Kingston! The fight spilled out to the floor, into the crowd and Orton and Kingston were just fighting it out, old school. This was rad. The melee ended with Kofi Kingston jumping off a railing onto Orton through a table! It was a cool move and a major throwback to simpler times.

John Cena & The Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho & Big Show and Dx

Overall the main event had a good sense of action, and urgency. Each guy got his move set in as fast as he could, and it worked well. This kept my attention and was quite good. I couldn’t believe that even though this match started after the 2nd hour was over, it still was given this much room to breathe. While it did seem a bit sped up, it still didn’t feel completely terrible to watch. Everyone hit their finisher, and it was John Cena and Triple H left in ring and guess what?

John Cena gets the pin!

Postmatch, Undertaker hits Cena with a huge tombstone and the night is over.

Overall, not a terrible night of wrestling, although there was a lot of talking, it was still alright. There was some obvious filler, and some not so great moments, but overall, come on, it wasn’t half bad; one week before Survivor’s Series.

I won’t be getting the ppv, I can’t afford it, but I’m sure someone will watch it.

WWE Smackdown 11/13/09 Results and Review The Undertaker Jericho

WWE Smackdown 11/13/09 Results

C.M. Punk defeated R Truth
Natalya defeated Mickie James
Drew McIntyre vs Finlay no contest/double dq
John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler double countout
Beth Phoenix defeated Lisa Taylor
The Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho

WWE Smackdown 11/14/09 Review

So here we are again, in England and Cm Punk comes out and does his sermon as usual. He talks about how he’s better than everyone there, and that straightedge is a great thing, and he’s perfect, basically the same promo he’s been doing for a long time now.

C.M. Punk defeated R Truth

Cm Punk and R Truth are both amidst a depush in a lot of ways, and it’s interesting to see how WWE is letting the ropes go in regards to these two performers. The match was fast paced, which definitely favored Truth, and as we went to the first commercial break, Truth had Punk on the floor and reeling. The rest of the match was definitely back and forth between the two, but at one point Truth’s knee started to fail him and Punk capitalized. This made it a more event fight as Truth couldn’t use his speed to get the upper hand. Punk was in the lead, and after a quick roll up attempt and a hand full of ropes, Punk finished off Truth, although not clean.

Natalya defeated Mickie James

Mickie James finally had some good competition, and it showed that she wasn’t just a hack, although she still looks a bit heavy. The match was back and forth, with Natalya getting the upper hand after Michelle McCool and Layla were ripping up Mickie James’ clothing on the outside. Natalya won with a sharpshooter and the match was over. This match wasn’t that good, but it was better than the Raw side of the divas, that’s for sure.

Drew McIntyre vs Finlay no contest/double dq

Well we finally get a good match, or at least on paper a good match, with Drew McIntyre as he fights the guy that claims he loves to fight. This match was getting good, but the two just kept fighting each other outside the ring and then inside the ring to the point that the referee just threw the match out. McIntyre is getting a good build, I hope they keep it up. Finlay and Drew McIntyre need a no holds barred match, or something hat spills to the outside, ala Triple H vs Mankind, leading to an old school cage match. Remember? Summerslam 97? Come on…they stole the show…although Undertaker and Bret Hart was a great classic match too.

Batista and Rey Mysterio had a contract signing. Of course, in contract signing fashion, Mysterio threw the table over Batista and embarrassed him. NO contract signing goes smoothly, does it? I hate contract signings.

John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler double countout

I still say that Mysterio vs Ziggler (the first time) was the best match of 2009 and proof that Ziggler has some major skills. In this match he was proving once again that he was a might good wrestler. Seriously, I couldn’t believe how good this guy is and wonder why WWE can’t get more guys with the same intensity. This match was getting really good, and these guys were definitely giving top notch performances, but both men fell off the top rope and got counted out. Morrison looked to have the worse of it though.

Beth Phoenix defeated Lisa Taylor

Beth Phoenix once again defeats a jobber in ring. This match was nothing more than a classic jobber vs up and comer type match up. Seriously, it was just your standard job. I was bored.

The Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho

This ppv caliber match, on paper, started with Undertaker in control and Jericho reeling as the phenom was definitely on top of his game. The match had a back and forth feel, with the Undertaker actually looking human. Jericho kept on pushing and eventually hit the Code Breaker! Without being able to pin the Undertaker Jericho went for the Tombstone Piledriver but it was reversed and eventually the Walls of Jericho were slapped on! However, Undertaker reversed that into the Hells Gate Submission and Jericho tapped like a school girl. Overall a good outing, but limited to television time restraints. They’ll meet again on ppv, and it should be an instant classic.

Tna Impact 11/12/09 Results and Review They Never Learn

Tna Impact 11/12/09 Results

Abyss defeated Dr. Stevie
Alissa Flash defeatedTraci Brooks
Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart defeated Black Machismo
The Beautiful People and Awesome Kong defeated ODB, Sarita, Taylor Wilde and Tara
Amazing Red & The Motor City Machine Guns defeated The World Elite
Beer Money Inc. defeated The British Invasion
Samoa Joe defeated Aj Styles

Tna Impact 11/12/09 Review

The show immediately opens with Hulk Hogan’s signing to TNA wrestling. Then we get a recap of the meeting that was shown last week. I’m already bored with the storyline. However, I did mark out for Super Dave! As the show goes right back into Mick Foley’s office.

Abyss defeated Dr. Stevie

I feel like we’ve had this match occur before, so I wasn’t exactly too thrilled to see it. Abyss started this match hard and fast. Stevie Reichards looked great in ring, a far cry from his BWO days. So this match was all Abyss until the lights went out. Yes, the lights went out. Both men were out cold, and Stevie managed to roll an arm over Abyss and wins the match. Daffney’s hot…fyi. A chair was thrown into the ring but Foley ran in to save the day.

The Lights went out yet again, and this time we see Raven! Raven throws a fireball into Foley’s face and then hits the Evenflow DDT! Raven is back! My favorite wrestlers from yesteryear!

Alissa Flash defeated Traci Brooks

Alissa Flash took it to Traci Brooks and really did a good job. I thought it was interesting to see how intense she was, as she was really going after Brooks. Mike Tenay, mid match announced that Traci Brooks’ arm was crippled since birth and Flash just kept attacking it. Alissa Flash one via submission, and to cement the storyline, Brooks attacked her after the match.

Flash is good in my view, but she needs better competition. Traci Brooks sucks. A bad arm? That’s the excuse for her lackluster in ring work? She’s not Paul Orndorf, so I’m not buying the excuse. But then again, what do I know?

Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart defeated Black Machismo

This is a bad idea. Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart looks out of shape, really out of shape. This match was back and forth, albeit, short. The match went forward and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart hit a huge powerslam to pin, and won. Yes, he defeated Black Machismo! So much for that story line huh? What a joke.

The Beautiful People and Awesome Kong defeated ODB, Sarita, Taylor Wilde and Tara

These ladies really put ona good show. They didn’t do anything super crazy, but they had enough moments to make it interesting. While it was just a spot fest when you boil things down, it still had a bunch of good shots. Of course, Awesome Kong won with her implant buster, and it’s picture perfect.

There was a hotel room beatdown with Lashley beating up a rapist-like Scott Steiner. Sadly, this was insane.

Kurt Angle was in ring in a suit, talking about Desmond Wolfe. A video showed Desmond at a different location and he showed up and attacked Angle, however, Angle fought back and started to make good on his promise to fight back. However, Desmond got the better of him and hit a nice DDT and then hit a chair shot. Meanwhile the video kept looping, which made for a terrible promo.

Amazing Red & The Motor City Machine Guns defeated The World Elite

This match was suppose to be high risk and great overall. Instead it was half speed and featured some botch’s that no one really commented on. The Machine Guns and Red were pushing a great amount of offense and if there is a great part of this match up it was the spots done by Amazing Red. The World Elite just didn’t seem to have it and really lost it. Oh and Homicide got ransacked by security for trying to introduce a barbed wire bat to the match.

Beer Money Inc. defeated The British Invasion

This match is a good example of what WWE is missing. They are missing real tag teams. Not just hot spotted tag teams thrown together at the last minute, but legit tag teams that don’t necessarily wrestle singles matches often. That being said, this match was great in terms of tag team action. It’s not the most amazing, technical match, but it had double teams, hot tags, high spots and good overall rhythm. That’s what the tag team division should aspire to in wwe, but doesn’t. Beer Money had this match swinging their way but it seemed that the British Invasion had one step ahead each time this thing looked over. But the british invasion couldn’t get the final pinfall and lost to Beer Money.

Samoa Joe defeated Aj Styles

This was a fast match, and really wasn’t all that great. Towards the middle of the match, Christopher Daniels came down to ringside to interfere, and that cost Aj Styles the match. Samoa Joe choked out Aj Styles, in a somewhat lackluster match.

Ecw on ScyFy 11/10/09 Results and Review Christian and Regal

ECW on ScyFy 11/10/09 Results

Goldust defeated Paul Burchill
Vance Archer defeated Jason Blackwell
Christian defeated William Regal

ECW on ScyFy 11/10/09 Review

The night started with the Abraham Washington show, to a warm chorus of boos. Washington’s guest was none other than Yoshi Tatsu! He got somewhat of a good pop from the English crowd. The show was ok at best.

Goldust defeated Paul Burchill

Goldust was getting worked throughout the match up, and it seemed like Purchill was going to get an easy win. He was hitting hard, and hitting some big power moves. However, Goldust got an assist from The Hurricane, and hit the Final Cut to get the win. The match itself was nothing to really write home about, but I’m glad to see Goldust get a victory. They could definitely use him a lot better, but we’ll see if this is a momentary push, or a long term plan.

Vance Archer defeated Jason Blackwell

There’s not much to say about this match. Another squash match, a normal thing for the WWE in these modern times. I wasn’t impressed, just like I wasn’t impressed when Kozlov was doing the same thing, and look where he is now? A random sidekick.

Christian defeated William Regal

Regal has definitely lost a step or two, because Christian had this thing going far away from him at times, and it seemed like Regal was struggling to keep up. The match was slowed down by the hometown hero, pushing submission style wrestling instead of hitting power moves, to wind down the champion, and score a submission rather than a clean pinfall. Christian kept fighting back, even though it didn’t seem to be working to his advantage, as Regal kept pushing to wear down Christian. Regal did have some near falls, but it seemed like he was just trying to tire out Christian, and nothing more. This match was getting good for sure, as Christian wasn’t able to put away Regal with ease, and Regal kept fighting. Despite the match’s length I started to really enjoy how it was working out. Regal hit his knee to the head, and I thought this thing was over, but nope. Christian managed to pull out a good victory, a hard fought title defense, proving again that he’s not a transitional champion.

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/9/09 Results and Review Ricky Hatton Guest Host

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/9/09 Results

Alicia Fox defeated Kelly Kelly
Shaemus defeated random jobber
Evan Bourne defeated Jack Swagger
Randy Orton defeated Mark Henry
Ricky Hatton defeated Chavo Guerrero
Degeneration X defeated The Big Show & Chris Jericho

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/9/09 Review

Ricky Hatton, the Raw guest host, was introduced first and he made his way to the ring, to open up another edition of Monday Night raw. Of course, the guest host was interrupted during his speech by Y2J and the Big Show, a tradition that is now seen on Raw.

Of course after some words were exchanged, Dx came out. This part of the show was ok at best, just another cookie cutter opening, that’s all I could think about that.

Alicia Fox defeated Kelly Kelly

This was a flop of a match. This match featured two women that can’t really wrestle that well, trying to put on a singles match, and it really didn’t work for me personally, it just seemed lame in a lot of different ways.

Shaemus defeated random jobber

Shaemus beat up some random dude, I’m sick of this. On one hand it’s really 1980’s to do this, which is a classic era, on the other hand, we’re in modern times, give me something different, something worth watching…not this.

Evan Bourne defeated Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger was basically having his way with Evan Bourne, for a good portion of this match up. It just seemed to easy in my view, as Swagger didn’t even break a sweat in the early goings, as he was killing Bourne. Bourne did not get a lot of offense in, but he did manage to impress with some quick reversals and even hitting the 450 splash out of nowhere to win the match up! This of course after The Miz came down to watch the ongoing match up. Swagger loses, clean…there goes his streak.

The VIP Lounge was set up with MVP and Mark Henry taking hosting roles. Randy Orton and his cronies interrupted, while Kofi Kingston and the guys were getting familiar with themselves or whatever. It was boring to me. It should’ve bored you too. Kofi and Orton could end up being an interesting feud indeed.

Randy Orton defeated Mark Henry

Mark Henry was beating the hell out of Randy Orton for a good part of this match. The Former champion was having trouble with dealing with the size of Mark Henry during this match up. However, it was Orton that got the final laugh as he hit the RKO and won the match, despite the fact that Mark Henry was in control for most of this match up.

Ricky Hatton defeated Chavo Guerrero Ricky Hatton defeated Chavo Guerrero

Chavo Guerrero got thrown into a boxer vs wrestler match and it looked evenly matched. But of course, Hatton was getting way more offense than I gave him credit for initially. I guess since I’m not a big boxing fan, I wouldn’t know what was up with Hatton’s past, but he managed to knock out Chavo with ease.

Degeneration X defeated The Big Show & Chris Jericho

This match took some time to build, therefore it wasn’t that bad. At least not in the ways some of the other tag matches I’ve seen these guys put together do. They might have been putting on a good show for their over seas fans, which was nice. That meant a longer match with good timing, and of course Chris Jericho didn’t hurt things either. The match was back and forth, until they isolated Triple H and eventually prompted HBK to get the hot tag. Big Show ran in and accidentally knocked out Chris Jericho! HBK covered for the win, and got it clean! I liked this match and it was the highlight of Raw.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/6/09 Results and Review Batista and Undertaker

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/6/09 Results

Dolph Ziggler & The Hart Dynasty defeated John Morrison & Cryme Tyme
Beth Phoenix defeated Brittany Carter
Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Wang Yang
Rey Mysterio defeated Mike Knox
R Truth defeated Cm Punk
Matt Hardy defeated Batista via disqualification

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/6/09 Review

The Undertaker started the show with a “dead man” speech. I’m sick of the Undertaker already. I liked it better when he didn’t say a whole lot. The Undertaker states the obvious and he just isn’t as scary.

Chris Jericho came out to talk smack at the Undertaker and cut that random “I’m not scared” promo.

Dolph Ziggler & The Hart Dynasty defeated John Morrison & Cryme Tyme

This match was actually not half bad. Seriously, this match had a lot of things going for it. It mainly had the fast paced feel that a six man tag should have, and it had a lot of quick tags, fast moves, and good overall timing. Ziggler and Morrison aren’t the only ones that can really go in the ring. The Hart Dynasty and Cryme Tyme added a good amount of “flavor” to the match, giving an overall good time. The finish came when Ziggler tagged in blindly and got the pinfall victory. Ziggler is one upping John Morrison, maybe he’s next in line for an intercontinental title reign, and in my view, a little over due.

Rey Mysterio gave some weak interview, it bored me.

Beth Phoenix defeated Brittany Carter

Beth Phoenix squashed another no name woman jobber. I’m not sure why the WWE feels they need to reestablish Beth Phoenix as an unstoppable monster in the women’s division. It just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. She beat the jobber, and that was that. Maybe Brittany Carter will go to tna now.

Drew McIntyre defeated Jimmy Wang Yang

What the heck? Jimmy Wang Yang is still employed too? First Jamie Noble and now Jimmy Wang Yang? What the heck! Jimmy Wang Yang got very little offense in, and it was all over. Drew wins again and Jimmy Wang Yang is on his way out, he just has to be.

Rey Mysterio defeated Mike Knox

Mike Knox beat up Rey Mysterio for most of this match. Seriously, he really pushed the limits on what kind of a beating he could get. It’s an interesting thing overall, because Mike Knox looked like he was winning this thing clean, with the heaviest handed offense I’ve seen in a long time…then it all collapsed. It collapsed and I was frustrated. It’s one thing to have John Cena be superman, but Rey Mysterio is still this super little man? So lame. So lame. This bored me, sorry, I’ve seen way too much Rey Mysterio for one life time.

R Truth defeated Cm Punk

This match really reminded me how slow Cm Punk’s offense has gotten. He has some explosive flurries, but he’s really put on this slow motion, methodical offensive style instead of his fast paced indie style that he used to have while champion and while on ecw. Truth was getting worked for a good part of this match, and Punk really did try to wear him down, but Truth kept pushing and eventually got most of his fast paced moves. Punk started yelling at the referee again, and Truth rolled up Punk for the fast count and the win.

Matt Hardy defeated Batista via disqualification

You know that WWE is odd when the main event features a fat Matt Hardy. Come on, he’s not in his prime right now, and I’m not sure why I can’t get behind a super “tights” wearing Matt Hardy. It was one thing to see him annihilate Edge for screwing Lita…even if it was a work, but this is ridiculous. He’s just not someone I can et behind, even if he’s fighting a very mad Batista. That all being said, Matt Hardy did put up a fight and didn’t just let Batista get the fast win. Hardy put up a lot of defense, and went through some hard hits. Hardy’s short leg drop to Batista’s knee was the highlight for me, he should’ve started the match with that, ala Bret Hart. Hardy’s weight definitely showed when he went or the failed Moonsault…but he managed to hit the Twist of Fate! I liked this match, it was really getting good towards the end, or maybe I was just waking up.

Batista snapped nd got himself disqualified by beating Hardy to within an inch of his life. Oh well.

Smackdown was ok, I’m not really too keen on anything going on right now on either major wwe show. I just don’t care right now. I’m going through the motions, it’s true, it just seems too old to me. I’ll get back into a groove, I’m sure.

TNA Impact 11/5/09 Results and Review The Hogan Era Week 2

TNA Impact 11/5/09 Results

Beer Money Inc. defeated The British Invasion
Desmond Wolfe defeated Cody Deaner
Christopher Daniels vs Aj Styles no contest
Tara defeated Hamada
Bobby Lashley defeated Homicide
Taylor Wilde defeated Madison Rayne
Aj Styles defeated Daniels
Matt Morgan & Hernandez defeated Team 3-D via disqualification

TNA Impact 11/5/09 Review

The show opened up with a meeting that took place earlier with Dixie Carter and the whole TNA roster. She basically was giving that “I’m the boss” speech to all the guys, and it was now airing for the public. I’m not sure if it was a work or a shoot, but it sounded ok…I’m not sure what’s going on, nor do I really care.

Aj Styles opened up the real show, and Styles wanted answers to who is beating him up. Daniels came down…and he started to confront Aj Styles.

Beer Money Inc. defeated The British Invasion

This sloppy match really disappointed me. Both teams didn’t have any major offense, it was just half speed to the end. I hated this match. Beer Money won but who cares? The ref is an idiot. Erik Young introduced a world title and the ref literally put his arms up and said “uh oh!” and looked like an idiot. This match sucked.

Post match there was a melee, and on the ramp out came The Motor City Machine Guns, and security stopped things. This crap didn’t work in WCW, it’s not working now.

We now get twenty to thirty minutes of just backstage stuff. ODB gets beat up, Black Machismo gives an interview, Foley talks smack about Abyss, and that’s about it.

Desmond Wolfe defeated Cody Deaner

Desmond wins with a clothesline…that’s it. I hate this type of wrestling, and was bored. This is dumb.

Christopher Daniels vs Aj Styles no contest

Daniels was set to wrestle Styles with Samoa Joe as special guest referee, but backstage Aj Styles was attacked, meanwhile in ring Daniels got attacked by Joe. The match didn’t really happen.

Tara defeated Hamada

Tara was not getting a whole lot of offense in this match up. Hamada was really impressive in this match, and was quite good overall. However, Tara winning was a bit of an understatement of her abilities. The Widows Peak looked good, but that’s about it. Hamada looked to have injured her knee after a sick moonsault miss, but the match was somewhat short and really not that great.

Post match Awesome Kong came down to mop up Tara, but Tara leaped off the top rope in a sick swan dive into Kong and a body of security guards. You know something is wrong when your best spot in a match is after it’s over! Tara and Kong in the six sides of steel should be interesting…someone’s gotta blade though.

Mick Foley wasted about 20 minutes of time with talking to Abyss, and Scott Steiner was backstage talking about Hogan….I’m bored.

Bobby Lashley defeated Homicide

Homicide basically got pwned by Bobby Lashley. Lashley took a few hits from Homicide but then got worked and beaten fast. Lashley sucks.

Backstage Steiner was hitting on Lashley’s wife, he ran back there and there was a backstage brawl…man, who’s writing this bs?

Homicide attacked a ref and Amazing red came out to beat up Homicide.

This night of TNA was sucking big time…lame.

Taylor Wilde defeated Madison Rayne

This match was so short that when I got up to get coffee the whole match concluded. Post match The Beautiful people attacked, and a melee broke. It’s funny that although there is a big beatdown there’s no security…meanwhile earlier in the show there was a swarm of security for Awesome Kong and Tara’s melee….this sucks.

Aj Styles defeated Daniels

Even after the beatdown earlier, Styles and Daniels put a match together. This match was not given enough time to develop at all. This match was half speed, and eventually Styles was able to win. However, this match was just a trash match to say the least. Samoa Joe choked out Daniels.

Matt Morgan & Hernandez defeated Team 3-D via disqualification

Bubba Ray Dudley is getting fat again, he’s already large, but he’s putting on pounds. Hernandez was definitely getting the best of 3-d in this match up, as he had some great offense against the big time tag team. It wasn’t like Team 3-D was lying down, but man, they weren’t as intense as I’ve seen them in the past. This match turned out to be a dq with some lethal chairs, and a little help from Rhino. This match was building up quite well, then poop….I guess that’s TNA for you.

This night of wrestling sucked. Hogan wasn’t even on the show! What the heck? TNA sucks…screw it.

Ecw on ScyFy 11/3/09 Results and Review Christian Turmoil

Ecw on ScyFy 11/3/09 Results

William Regal defeated Goldust
Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder
Vance Archer defeated Logan Jones
Yoshi Tatsu & Christian defeated Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

Ecw on ScyFy 11/3/09 Review

Christian was in ring and talking about Regal. He was calling out William Regal and Regal came out to oblige. However, the general manager wasn’t really having it, and she was trying to stop the two from colliding. William Regal is offered a title shot and turned it down, saying that he’s in control not Christian. Regal eventually folds and will get a title shot when the WWE goes to England. I was bored, and didn’t care.

Post interview, Christian dropkicked Regal and we cut to commercial break.

William Regal defeated Goldust

Goldust put on a great match in this one. He was in control for the most part. He had Regal’s number for the whole match, and I for one actually started seeing that old Goldust, the one that was an Intercontinental championship contender. However, all that was put on hold, and buried, because Regal hit his running knee and knocked out the golden one with ease and won the match cleanly.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Zack Ryder

I definitely felt that I’ve seen this match before many times. However, I couldn’t remember off the top of my head when. Zack Ryder was distracted by Eve, and it cost him However, before that, Benjamin was putting on a demo reel of his footage because he had this match well in time and tuned up to showcase his natural wrestling talents. Shelton Benjamin, if he could get better on the mic, should definitely be chasing a title, he’s that good in ring. Ryder? Well, he’s distracted by Rosa? I already forgot which diva it was…cause I’m lame.

Paul Burchill yelled at The Hurricane about being a fraud, and I noticed again that Hurricane is getting fat. Maybe I’m getting fat too? Man…I need a job.

Vance Archer defeated Logan Jones

Lance Archer (I think he was previously Lance Hoyt) made his debut. Logan Jones got some cheers, which is interesting to see. Archer was just intense, an intensity that you don’t see with new comer wrestlers. He hit four moves and it was over, it was a classic debut, I liked it. He is just calm, and he executes perfectly, wow, that’s interesting. He might be a good addition, but I’d have to see him wrestle someone other than a jobber.

Yoshi Tatsu & Christian defeated Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

Yoshi Tatsu and Christian put on a good enough match to defeat the cronies that hang out with Regal. However, the match really didn’t have a lot of time to develop and seemed a bit rushed. While Regal’s team lost, Tatsu and Christian managed to compel the match to go their way with a series of moves.

After the match, Regal and his team of idiots beat up Christian, trying to hurt him before the title match next week.

Overall, ECW was ok. Regal’s mean streak is interesting to see. The intensity of the new guy was cool too, and the rest? It was alright. I liked how compact the show was, that’s for sure. A good overall ECW, nothing too harsh to say about it, that’s for sure.

WWE Monday NIght Raw 11/2/09 Results and Review Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne Host

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/2/09 Results

The Miz defeated Evan Bourne in the United States Championship Match
Jamie Noble defeated Sheamus via disqualification
Mark Henry, MVP, and Kofi Kingston defeated Randy Orton & Legacy
Alicia Fox won a Divas Battle Royal
Chris Jericho defeated John Cena and The Big Show in a triple threat match

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/2/09 Review

The show immediately began with Sharon and Ozzie Osbourne in ring, getting quite an ovation. Then out came the Miz and he had some complaints about his countout loss, but he was interrupted by Legacy, and they wanted retribution for their gift to Orton. However, they were interrupted by The Big Show, who also had some gripes; but that of course wasn’t the end all. The Big Show was interrupted by Degeneration X and Triple H was plugging Ozzie’s new book and Dx’s new book as well.

Ozzie Osbourne called Evan Bourne “Evan Brawn” which was laughable to me…once again they screw things over.

The Miz defeated Evan Bourne in the United States Championship Match

The title was on the line in this match up and I thought it was about time we started seeing title defenses on Raw. The Miz started this match with a lot of hard offense, trying to prove that he’s no joke in the ring, and that he is in fact “Awesome”. However, Evan Bourne wasn’t going to just lay down and he started to reverse things and hit some awesome spots right away, and this thing took a turn I didn’t see coming. In fact, The Miz was reeling for a good portion of this match, and Evan Bourne just kept hitting all his high spots, even when The Miz would reverse things. Bourne went for the Shooting Star Press, and that’s when things finally curtailed, The Crushing Finale of sorts (Miz’s finisher) was hit and Bourne’s title shot was done. The Miz edges out another victory.

Jamie Noble defeated Sheamus via disqualification

Once again, Jamie Noble was back on Raw, for what seemed like another burial. I still can’t believe Jamie Noble is still employed, seriously, I said that last week, but come on, you know this is true right? Noble is just punching bag at this point, and had no major offense to speak of. He’s in a lower class of jobbers at this point and will most likely be released in the near future. Sheamus keeps beating Jamie Noble and gets disqualified for his efforts….this is no way to make a villain, sorry.

Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston

Wow, they’re giving this match away? I thought for sure this would build into a ppv caliber match or a set up for the next ppv, at least that’s how the WWE used to do things. Now they’re just like the old wcw, giving the good stuff away, and getting less and less ppv buys. Kofi took this match into his own hands and started off like a house on fire, just continually pummeling Orton in the early goings of this match. Legacy ran down to help Orton, but Kofi launched himself like a missile straight at his enemies, and this forced the match to change…into a six man tag!

Mark Henry & MVP joined the match to help even the odds!

Mark Henry, MVP, and Kofi Kingston defeated Randy Orton & Legacy

After the break this match took off into a classic six man tag team match up. It wasn’t that boring, and it didn’t play like the normal six man tags in main events. The match broke down into lots of spots, with good crowd reaction, and more importantly entertaining moments. Rhodes trying to take on Mark Henry was classic, and it cost him. Henry nearly broke Cody Rhodes in half with the World’s Strongest Slam, and won the match up for his team. Up to this point I was bored, but this match made me wake up a little. I liked it.

At this point we had a talent show of sorts, beginning with none other than Santino…trying to sing Bark at the Moon…but he changed it up. He then tried to bite the head off of a Bat….BATMAN toy! It was classic Santino, and well…the highlight of the talent show! Until Hornswoggle came out dressed as Jack Osbourne! Hilarious to say the least…yeah what a lame talent show…waste of time!

Alicia Fox won a Divas Battle Royal

At this point there was a divas battle royal match and the participants were…everyone? The wwe kind of threw this one together and it showed, because the divas were either in a corner biding their time or hitting very lightly to make the time pass a little bit, meanwhile this thing was boring the crowd too. Jack Swagger came down to ringside, distracting some random chick. Alicia Fox and Kelly Kelly were the last two left, which was a real shame! Alicia Fox however, somehow won this match…and is now the #1 contender to the divas title! Seriously, this is just sad.

Chris Jericho defeated The Big Show & John Cena in a triple threat match

Once again the WWE pushes the envelope of “Superman” is John Cena by having John Cena wrestle two men. Dx on commentary was good, however, Triple H kept trying to crack jokes about the business and break the fourth wall and really make lame attempts at being funny, it wasn’t working 90% of the time, but hey…that’s Triple H for ya. The Big Show and Jericho were just working John Cena throughout this match up with ease. There apparently were no rules either, because this thing was looking terrible for Cena. The match started to get really interesting when Big Show and Jericho could no longer coexist and made for quite the match up, leaving Cena to fight Big Show on his own. Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment but failed to execute, causing the Big Show to nearly take out Cena just by his weight alone! Cena got a second wind, what a surprise, and started to get the crowd going. After a five knuckle shuffle, this thing looked like it was on rails, predictable as ever. He got Jericho up for the Attitude Adjustment and got near the ropes, but that’s where Big Show came in with a huge right hand to Cena! Cena dropped like a fly and Jericho fell on top of him for the pinfall victory.

Post match Jericho and Big Show beat up Cena some more. Then Dx jumped in for the save, and that was the end of that. Meaning that Jericho and Big Show beat up Dx.

Raw wasn’t half bad tonight, seriously, I liked it more than I should have.
