Stone Cold Is Coming To Smackdown

This friday, JBL will try to interview the Animal and the deadman, but bigger than that, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in the house to give out some cans of you know what.

Will he Stun JBL? Or Will he end up stunning Michael Cole?

That's about all i have for the Smackdown preview. Check out the links on the left for more news and tidbits.

Wrestlemania is this weekend!

Hardy vs. Hardy ECW 3/27/07 Notes

Rob Van Dam def. Elijah Burke

This is a no brainer. I still believe that Mr. Burke is still trying to play the Low-Ki card and isn't that great. I liked Orlando Jordan's look a lot better. RVD picks up the win with the standard moves, and it looks like he's not even happy where he is at.

This guy is a main eventer, he shouldn't be wrestling some random jobber.

Snitsky def. Balls Mahoney

Balls Mahoney is still on the roster? Wow. He's jobbing to the worst addition to ECW. I would rather watch an Al Snow vs. Test match.

Mr. Kennedy, King Booker, Finlay & Randy Orton def. CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & Edge

YES! The Heels win big on this one, but not without a little ending to showcase what may occur this Sunday! The Hardy's are going to tear each other apart if need be, but the heels are so good in this match. I don't like Randy Orton, but the others are class acts and are going to put on a show to rival any other ladder match ever! That's a bold statement, but I believe it could happen.

This show packed a lot into one hour, which is a nice change of pace, but still, it lacked the high caliber that ECW should have.

John Cena gets Superkick & Austin 3:16 Lives On Raw 3/27/07

Torrie Wilson & Candice Michelle & Ashley def. Women's Champion Melina & Victoria & Jillian

I didn’t pay any attention to the divas as usual. I don’t believe that this set of divas know how to wrestle, with the exception of Victoria. So I didn’t even watch it. Instead I was looking for a job in my new city.

CM Punk def. Kenny Dykstra

CM Punk was getting some major cheers in his hometown of Detroit last night. The crowd was immense in regards to cheering for Punk. However, I don’t feel that he’s ready for WWE. He just doesn’t fit in. Don’t get me started on Kenny, who is nothing more than a lost cause at this point. A jobber in purple…or is it blue? Without the spirit squad behind him, I can’t see him going very far.

Mr. McMahon def. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley (No Disqualification Match)

I expected more from McMahon, but then when the gauntlet of lower class jobbers started pouring out, I knew what was ahead. I liked it overall, although I don’t believe that two Samoan Spikes would defeat such a monster. I’m sorry, I don’t like Lashley nd I don’t like Umaga. This match was good filler though.

Mr. Kennedy & Randy Orton def. The Hardys

Mr. Kennedy was on Raw and was great. Orton and Kennedy made quick work of the Hardy Boys in a really good back and forth match that was a highlight on Raw. Kennedy is in his element in the ring, and I haven’t seen such talent in a long time.

The Great Khali def. Ric Flair (DQ)

The Great Khali match was interrupted by Carlito, which got me excited, until Khali trashed Carlito. He demolished him, and it made me think that maybe a job at WWE is not all it’s cracked up to be, especially if your told you have to go get thrown around by Khali every night. Flair got saved, his chops weren’t chopping down the mighty Khali. This guy is huge.

Kane came out to settle the score, and Khali wisely left, leaving the crowd churning for a Wrestlemania bout. It should be interesting to see if Kane can math up to Khali in wrestling. The Undertaker couldn’t.

World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker def. World Tag Team Champions Shawn Michaels & John Cena

In a No Way Out rematch the odds were stacked against each team as they entered to face each other in a tag-match. This was very well paced and executed with out flaws. These guys know what they are doing, and I was even impressed with Batista.

Did I call it or did I call it?

The match ended when HBK swerved on Cena, knocking him out for a 3 count!

Overall Raw was good this time around. I loved Austin’s involvement, and the sneak peak of his movie made me want to watch that film even more. I’m going to look forward to a good action film, featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In other wrestling news:

Wrestling Society X Lost one of their major players, as Vampiro has left the company. I've repeatedly vouched for a Vampiro WWE run, but Jim Ross has stated over and over that he's not sure on the guy's overall style because it's too high risk.

Vampiro will be back in CMLL for a while, and of course independents across the nation.

The show will most likely go on...just not with Vampiro, which is one of the main reasons I even watched the stupid thing.

Vampiro also has a documentary coming out, and I'll have to inform you of that later.

For up to the minute news just check the left hand widget with lots of info coming through rss, or just wait for me to comment on the new developments.

WWE Raw & Sidenotes

Tonight, one week before Wrestlemania, we're going to have a slobber knocker of a main event.

No Way Out proved that you can not trust the Animal, and tonight the Undertaker and Batista must team up again and face Shawn Michaels and John Cena. But will they be able to co-exist? So far I haven't seen enough interaction between HBK and Cena, so I'm going to make a predication and say that tonight we see a swerve between Cena and Hbk. The match won't even go the distance.

Secondly, Lashley, if serious, is going to destroy Vinnie Mac, and I'll pay to see that anyday.

Sidenote* Sorry I haven't been posting, I have recently moved to Seattle and my hotel's wi-fi was down all weekend.

I'm back in the saddle, and for once, I get to watch wwe raw tonight! More raw notes tomorrow as I call the matches after they happen.

Smackdown Preview

The Road to Wrestlemania is coming to a head this Friday night when there is a tag team of epic proportions.

We're talking about KING BOOKER & FINLAY vs. The Undertaker & BATISTA but can the champion co-exist with the dead-man?

We'll have to wait and see.

Also for the card, Benoit will confront MVP and you know Matt Hardy and Mr. Kennedy have unfinished business. We'll see what ends up happening this friday night on the Road to Wrestlemania.

The Hardcore Diaries by Mick Foley

I read the last two books from Mick Foley in very interesting stages of my life. This time it hits right in another transition.

The first book I read in my senior year of High school and no one would listen to me about the book.

The second book I read from foley i was on an 8 hour wait from St. Louis to Los Angeles on a connecting flight to get home from Illinois, and it was a great read.

This time around I'm going to be reading the book on the 17 hour ride to Seattle. I'll be doing some driving too, but we'll see how it works out at first.

The book details the most recent of WWE decisions on screen and off. It's not as big as the original, but it looks good none the less.

I'll be reporting more on the wwe books as I settle into my new life.

ECW Results 3/21/07

Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu

I liked Monty Brown in TNA he was wild and fast, and dominated the competition. Then he moved to WWE, they changed his name gimmick and now he's just another wrestler in the WWE that I don't really like. Kevin Thorn is interesting, but I don't like him as much as I liked Gangrel or Vampiro. Sorry. This match was alright, but RVD is the only ECW older guy that can still go well. Sabu is tired, and he looks like he's in pain.

Snitsky def. Local

This is a waste of time. I don't think Snitsky should get a contract at all.

CM Punk def. Hardcore Holly

CM Punk is coming into his own, and now with a win over Hardcore Jobber, things maybe getting a little better for the straightedge kid from the midwest. The match itself was a little tame, and overall didn't appeal to me.

Elijah Burke def. Tommy Dreamer

Another throwaway match. Dreamer can't play off of Burke, he needs Justin Credible! Or better yet bring in Terry Funk or Jake the Snake to force Dreamer to wrestle better.

ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters (Non-Title)

Why is this non title? You know Lashley is going to kill Masters, why not let him put the title on the line so that at least Masters gets the idea that he's got a shot at some real gold instead of having to be jobbed out to the flavor of the week. Once again a good overall match up for what it is, but it's just a glorified squash as Lashley once again wins over his opponent.

The show as a whole had more wrestling packed into one hour than usual, but it still needs more to appeal to the diehard ECW fans out there. So far this brand is failing on all levels. Then again, I do have an ECW shirt in my closet, so maybe it's not too bad at this point. I liked this show the best of the two shows that WWE had this week. That's saying something.

Steroids and WWE and Raw Review 3/19/07

ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters (Master Lock Challenge)

This was lame. They spent how many useless jobbers and random wrestlers in this Master Lock thing only to have Bobby Lashley defeat Masters? Masters is horrible, and I don't like Lashley so this was just horrible to me. Someone save the wwe please!

Edge wins a Battle Royal for a Money in the Bank WrestleMania spot

Edge is a great competitor. He somehow edges out a few good folks to get into the Money in the Bank match, however, that means the rest of the Wrestlemania Card will be without Rated RKO as they are both in the same match! I don't believe that the WWE is going to let these guys get in all the offense needed to make this match successful. It's just too many people at the same exact time.

Intercontinental Champion Umaga def. Eugene (Non-Title)

This is another squash. It's sad that Eugene gets the worst treatment in wwe history.

Women's Champion Melina def. Candice Michelle (Bra and Panties Match)

This was a waste of time.

Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton (DQ)

This could have been huge, but alas it was another waste of time. I like the chemistry, but even Hardy can't save this suckfest.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Chris Benoit (Non-Title)

I can't believe how Benoit went over on this match. He tapped to the STFU! What? The same guy that nearly killed Kevin Sullivan is seen here doing the job for CENA! This is so bad it hurts.

JBL never wrestled HBK.

This raw was another nail in the coffin for me. Why do I even bother?

Onto the Steroids:

Sports Illustrated Online has named these names:

Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr. , Randy Orton, Gregory Helms, and EDGE! in the ongoing steroids crackdown. This makes a lot of sense in many ways, and I believe this could be the end of the beginning for a lot of young superstars. We'll see how far the WWE will go to protect their top names.

Vince Russo Should Get Fired

If you aren't sure who Vince Russo is, you're missing out. He's the creative guy that brought all the great matches and ideas to WWF in the 90's. He was a great charismatic intelligent booker, and then he left.

He came back to a falling WCW and he tried to work his magic, and it didn't work, as attendance continually dropped, and the momentum of beating Raw for 80 some odd weeks was gone too.

Nothing could save the company, and what ended up happening? They are no longer with us.

Is this what is happening to NWA-TNA? I sure hear the fans chanting for it.

Smackdown Review 3/16/07

Matt Hardy def. Mr. Kennedy

I didn't see Hardy winning this match at all. Kennedy was killer, he was attacking the limbs of hardy and taking out his high flying arsenal. It was amazing, it was incredible, it looked as if Kennedy was channeling Bret Hart, he kept going to the injured leg and arm, and right when it was going to end, Hardy pulled a Twist of Fate from a fireman's carry for the win. While Kennedy shined through the match, Hardy finally gets a major win. The NJ fans were going nuts for Hardy, and the heat was on for Kennedy, this was a very enjoyable match.

MVP def. El Grande Latte

This was a major squash. This was insulting.

Benoit vs. MVP for the U.S title was announced for Wrestlemania. I hate these squash matches. I was hoping Mistico was going to come out, but no chance.

MNM def. WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick & Ashley

This was sort of lame. I don't like MNM and I think the champions deserve more fan fair than they receive. They do things that no other tag team on the roster can do. What happened to Duece and Domino? Where did they go? That's all I'm saying about that.

Kane vs. Daivari (No Contest)

Daivari took a major beating. That is all.

King Booker vs. Undertaker (No Contest)

This went wild. No clear winner, Finlay got tossed into the announcers table, Undertaker stared down Batista, the main event at Wrestlemania is going to be intense. Booker could've won, but this was declared a no contest.

Smackdown was once again great, I love this. Raw should take note, because Smackdown is taking over the ratings and viewers in all major demographics. Especially with that opening bout. Wow...KENNNEDY!

WWE Stupidly Letting Mistico Go

First they ruin the careers of Psichosis and Super Crazy, and now they are passing up a Rey Mysterio in his prime!

That's right. Rey Mysterio has called the WWE offices and has stated interest in teaching Mistico the WWE style and that it would a grand thing to have Mistico in the WWE. Don't know who Mistico is? Imagine a faster, lighter, Rey Mysterio.

Apparently the WWE wants to take his mask off and repackage him as something different. I hope they don't. I really hope they don't.

So you want to see what he can do? Watch this:

Ignore the 80's music:

ECW Results

Tommy Dreamer won a New Breed-ECW Originals Battle Royal

Maybe that letter to Vince McMahon finally got its way into the main office. It turns out that Vinnie Mac let the originals win one for a change. That's not to say that the winning streak will continue.I don't see this going on much longer.

Snitsky def. Michael Deek & Danny Jaxx

Snitsky is a horrible wrestler. Why is he still even on the roster? I don't know why the WWE doesn't sign better guys.

ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Randy Orton

Orton gets trashed on his way to money in the bank and further proves that in order to make a champion look stronger he needs to roll through guys left and right. This is the same thing that happened in the 90's with the Ultimate Warrior. I don't see how this helps Lashley's case nor do I see how it doesn't make RAW and Randy Orton.

Ecw on sci-fi was lackluster to say the least.

Ecw Preview 3/13/07

Tonight on ECW, there's going to be a brawl. A battle royal between the two rival factions on ECW and it's unfair. That's right, it's unfair for guys that are way past their prime to be wrestling guys that are brand new and fresh in the industry. Learning aside, nothing good can come of this, and I'm reluctant to call a winner, but I think the new breed might edge out a victory, just barely.

How do you end this one well? Orton can be made to look horrible if he loses to Lashley, and he could look strong if he wins. But what if Edge spears Orton on the way to a victory? It happened at ECW's One Night Stand. So why can't Edge screw orton of the victory? Simply put: ECW needs Lashley to look strong on the way to Wrestlemania. Can he beat Umaga? Well what if Umaga comes out to mess up the match? I don't know, but this is a match that might be worthwhile to note.

Ecw on Sci-Fi comes to your television tonight (Tuesday) at 10 pm.

Raw Review 3/13/07

Randy Orton def. Ric Flair and Carlito (Triple Threat Elimination Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)

This match was really not what I expected. These guys just don't have a lot of chemistry together, so the match seemed really forced to me. Carlito turning on flair was great, but Orton winning was just dumb to me.

Chris Masters def. Super Crazy (Master Lock Challenge)

The WWE must hate mexican wrestling stars. Super crazy is getting buried yet again. They should move him to ECW and call it a day. At least the old ECW would feature lucha libre straight up.

World Tag Team Champions John Cena & Shawn Michaels def. World's Greatest Tag Team, Cade & Murdoch and MNM (Gauntlet Match)

This was great. I liked how there was a Cage match on raw, but this really is sad when the Tag Teams in the WWE can't even beat the main eventers. This of course makes you realize that the teams suck. I remember growing up, this would never go down.

The Great Khali vs. Jeff Hardy (No Conntest)

Khali got interrupted by none other than KANE! The two will probably start feuding now that King Booker and Kane are over.

Women's Champion Melina def. Torrie Wilson (Non Title Match)

Both of these women can't wrestle. So this match was horrible.

Monday, March 12, 2007

WWE Backlash 2004 (dvd review)

Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair

The opening match for this night wasn't the greatest technical endeavor, and it actually looked as though Flair was older than he is now! He did well with Benjamin, but Benjamin wasn't exactly over with the crowd, and the match was stagnant in the middle.

Jonathan Coachman vs. Tajiri

This match was horrible.

Handicap Match
Chris Jericho vs. Christian & Trish Stratus

Continuing the heat from Wrestlemania XX this match was quite interesting to say the least. It featured an on screen romance, but Y2J got the last laugh in this feud. The match was passable, with nothing that great to mention. Christian is lost in TNA, that's all I can say.

Women's Championship Match
Victoria vs. Lita

I like both opponents here, but I don't like women's matches. It was ok, but I miss the woman's hardcore match, now that was a good one.

Intercontinental Championship Match (hardcore rules)
Randy Orton (c) vs. Cactus Jack

This match wasn't a fast paced marvel, and it really showed how green Randy Orton was back in the day. This was the year that he won the world championship at Summerslam and turned face, although the crowd didn't really like that. The match was good, but only because Orton took a lot of punishment. The ending didn't make a whole lot of sense, and I didn't enjoy it greatly. The match could have been a lot better.

The Hurricane & Rosey vs. La Resistance

This match was, well, boring. The crowd wasn't into it, and guess what? I wasn't either. At this point the Hurricane wasn't getting the fan fair that he received back around Wrestlemania X8

Edge vs. Kane

This match was over so quickly that I didn't have a chance to remember what happened. Edge had a cast, that's all I recall.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
HHH vs. Chris Benoit vs. HBK Shawn Michaels

Lightning strikes twice in a near replica of the Wrestlemania affair. This match was good, but not the best of 2004, and it actually got a little boring after it all. I still liked it.

Overall this PPV was not as good as Wrestlemania, and it showed. The prowess of having both raw and smackdown rosters at one show wasn't capitalized correctly.

Saturday, March 10, 2007

WWE Smackdown 3/10/07

World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Kane

Batista vs. Kane was actually a better match than I would have imagined. Kane was controlling most of the match, and then came the finish which saw a batista bomb on kane in the late rounds. The match was actually well booked and the finish made sense.

Undertaker def. Finlay

Finlay was great. He is not scared of the taker and it showed. He is a top notch heel and although he's not getting super heat, he's getting really good in the ring, as he's always been. I remember even in WCW he was a great wrestler, he shines here amidst a late flurry of attacks. Finlay wasn't a match in the end, but with one weeks notice, you can't blame him.

King Booker def. Matt Hardy

All HAIL KING BOOKER! I love this character and this match had so many near misses and near collisions that it held my attention as a solid opener. King Booker has so much heat on him, and Hardy has so much cheers that this match was a great opener! The match saw Booker winning with an assist from the Queen, which made sense, and was quite the win for KING BOOKER!

Mr. Kennedy def. CM Punk

I didn't expect a CM PUnk match, and I was kicking myself because I missed the SABU vs. Mr Kennedy match on ECW. This match was solid too, although CM Punk's offense is questionable to me. Mr. Kennedy looks like a sly veteran as he wins this one with a great comeback. No cheating needed, and CM PUNK jobs to the veteran.

Overall this was a great show. I didn't like the constant Wrestlemania promo's because as a wrestling fan I already know the show is going to happen, and don't need a constant reminder while I'm watching wwe programming.

This show was better than Raw, and way better than ECW.

This weekend there's a TNA ppv, but I won't have a review for that in a long time.

That's it for now.

WWE ROYAL RUMBLE 2007 DVD Review (revisited)

Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship
John Cena Vs. Umaga (with Armando Estrada)

I didn’t see Cena walking out of this match alive. But somehow the guy did it, he managed to take a fury of onslaught and punishment. This was the best last man standing match that I’ve ever seen. Umaga threw everything except the kitchen sink at Cena, and demolished him wth a flurry of lefts and rights and the Samoan Spike as well as all sorts of moves, to try and get Cena to stay down, but failed. Late in the match Cena managed to slap on the STFU and with a rope for leverage made Umaga go to sleep for the win. This match was brutal, and I enjoyed it far more than any other Cena match that I’ve seen in a long time. Cena deserves the belt after going toe to toe in this match.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Batista Vs. Mr. Kennedy

Mr. KENNEDY!!!!! I love that enterance, and Batista was pumped in this match. He actually impressed me with some good selling on the knee injury. Kennedy was fighting to the very bitter end to try and win the match, and after dismantling the giant, he fell short to the Batista bomb. It was a great match, and Kennedy deserves the title at this point. He would make a great heel Champion, or even if he turns face, it would be a great thing to see MR KENNEDY as champion. Batista barely escapes this one, but Kennedy had the match nearly won on many occasions.

ECW Championship Match
Bobby Lashley Vs. Test

This match bore me to death. This match is a television match and not a ppv caliber match up. I’m still not completely sold on Bobby Lashley, I’m sorry. He has no mic skills and he just is another Brock Lesnar, except Lesnar had a ton of moves, and this guy has like 5. I hope he gets better, because as it is, he’s not very intense to me. I can’t beat him up, but I know a few dudes that probably could. Test included. Test loses of course.

The Royal Rumble Match

This match was great. I love the Rumble match as a stand alone match, and it lived up to the reputation. It saw some feuds begin, and saw some new comers get in there and duke it out with the veterans. I wasn’t completely sold on the ending, where Undertaker threw out HBK in his home state! But then again, who can blame him? With Undertaker declared the winner, we see the beginnings of Wrestlemania 23 shaping up.

Over all this was a great day in professional wrestling. The match was great, and the Undertaker is going to have to do a lot more than Kennedy did to defeat Batista. I hope he wins, and then takes on KENNEDY!

ECW Report 3/6

ECW on Sci-Fi couldn't have been any worse.

Hardcore Holly def. Balls Mahoney

Balls Mahoney has no major ties with the new ECW, but the old ECW was only good with Axl Rotten, so the tag-team pulled together a high applaud. The fans were going nuts for the chair shots that those two took together.

Rob Van Dam def. Elijah Burke

Rob Van Dam finally wins a match and it's against the nobody on the roster. It's Elijah Burke, who just looks like another Orlando Jordan or Low-Ki. Simply because he's been elevated quickly on the roster, and is going to be thrown down fast and furious.

It's odd.

New Match For Next Raw

WWE Raw next week is going to be stacked with a new match.

Randy Orton vs. Ric Flair vs. Carlito

This match will be for the last spot in the stacked money in the bank ladder match. It's going to be impressive, but it's going to be crazy.

I personally feel that Great Khali is going to get involved yet again.

What better way to get to Wrestlemania than to have to move Khali?

I think I am fore-sighting the future.

Tna is Hush Hush

"TNA has declined to comment on accusations of Kurt Angle receiving steroids from Florida's Palm Beach Rejuvenation Center. As we reported earlier, Angle received these steroids while he was under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Both The Associated Press and ESPN have mentioned Angle noting his Olympic gold medal."

Why be quiet? Just tell them that Kurt Angle isn't on the steroids now. Or something.

Then again they have Big Poppa Pump.

The rumor has it, that while WWE tried to make Scott Steiner take a Steroid's test before continuing to perform with them. Steiner replied simply, make HHH take one at the same time.

The WWE dropped the idea.

So instead of just offering some solace to the situation, it was all taken care of and Steiner was released after a few matches with HHH.

Remember that when Steiner joined, they immediately threw him to the main event.

Do steroids help?

It seems to be likely.

More on this news at it develops.

Bad News Brown Found Not Living

Bad News Brown first caught my attention at Wrestlemania II. During the twenty man battle royal he turned on Bret Hart and cost him the win. Hart came back and broke the trophy that was given to the winner, and it was a great time to be a wrestling fan.

He retired shortly into the 90's and just wasn't up to the continuous stress that involved being in the same industry for those years.

I can't speak on the personal life of Bad News Brown, but it is a sad day in professional wrestling, that's about it.

Former Olympic judo bronze medalist Allen Coage -- better known to wrestling fans as Bad News Allen and Bad News Brown -- has died suddenly. He was 63.

Coage died early Tuesday morning in Calgary at Rockyview Hospital, having been rushed to the hospital, complaining of chest pains.

Sad notes.

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

Kurt Angle vs. Steroids

"Kurt Angle, a 1996 Olympic gold-medal-winning freestyle wrestler and now a star professional wrestler, received two prescriptions for trenbolone and one for nandrolone between October 2004 and February '05. (Angle did not return messages left with his spokesman.)"

According to Sports Illustrated this guy was doing quite a bit more than just merely wrestling. And they wonder why he gets so mad so fast? It appears that he's taking more than aspirin, and I for one am not surprised.

This guy is world champion and at the same time Test gets fired for the same thing? Or well...gets out for steroids.

I'm not a big fan of test, but as you can see I'm not going to favor Angle at all. He's got the charisma of a stale fish, but if they hook him up with the World's greatest tag team, I may come around again. Until then, Too bad Kurt. You should have said your prayers and taken your look at the bad publicity?

All this courtesy of sports illustrated online. Wow, a source that's not just my ranting about wrestling!

That's right.

Raw 3/5/07

World Tag Team Champion Shawn Michaels def. Randy Orton

This is old. This reminds me of the times when The Rock vs HHH was every main event on ppv and otherwise for about 6 months! Or what about HHH vs. Shawn Michaels all the time? I'm tired of seeing these guys wrestle each other. Although the match wasn't too bad, it's just already been done so many times to me. At least it feels that way.

Intercontinental Champion Umaga def. Jeff Hardy

Umaga is not half bad to me. I think he's got chops, and Jeff Hardy is in line for a world title shot, and we'll see what happens in the Ladder Match at Wrestlemania. Umaga wins again, what a surprise. They have to make him look strong going into mania since Lashley is looking better right now.

Chris Masters def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Master Lock Challenge)

This is stupid. I hate how the legends gt no respect.

WWE Women's Champion Melina def. Mickie James (Falls Count Anywhere)

This is when I went to the bathroom.

Ric Flair vs. Carlito (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match; No Contest)

Ric Flair is so old that this match didn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. Carlito has been on a de-push for a long time. He's so talented yet WWE is burying him, and unless he gets a shot at UMAGA this match is lame.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Johnny Nitro (Disqualification)

This is boring to me. Cena doesn't need to wrestle Nitro who's been on a losing streak. He should wrestle Umaga, but that would defeat my previous notions.

This weeks edition of raw was lacking majorly. I'm not going to give this a passing grade, I'm going to yawn and just go back to listening to my cd's or soemthing.

Kurt Angle Likes To Talk Smack

Kurt Angle hasn't been in WWE for a while now, and although he's an untouchable in the world of Amateur Wrestling, when it comes to professional wrestling he doesn't have a lot to back up his recent claims.

Granted he's a good pro-wrestler and his background helps him greatly, however he's been taking shots at a few guys that he can't really hold a candle to right this moment.

Batista is the main guy that he's talking about in a recent interview with a men's fitness magazine. Apparently Angle doesn't like Batista's wrestling style and says he can't wrestle bigger guys. That's true, I believe that, but Batista is so over with the crowd at this point that He can get away with murder. Just like John Cena, who has a limited arsenal of moves, but is so over with the kids that he makes money and doesn't need to be a Dean Malenko or Chris Benoit out there.

Angle also took shots at UFC Champ Chuck Liddell and that's wrong. I don't want to see Angle in MMA and it's going to be interesting to see if those comments cause a major sway in the UFC movement, or if they are just outlandish comments by a former WWE superstar.

WWE Smackdown 3/2/07

Last night Smackdown aired on television and guess who finally got to see it live..well as it aired, instead of trying to download it. That's right, me! I bought some fuzzy bunny ears and went to town trying to get reception, and after a lot of work, I finally got it done. So while there was major fuzz, I still got to see the show clearly enough to watch the matches completely! Woohoo!

Matt Hardy def. Joey Mercury - Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

This match was actually better than I thought it would be. The psychology worked well. Mercury continued to work on Matt's shoulder throughout the match and as the tide turned Matt started using his offense with just one arm! That meant clotheslines, bulldogs, and eve a twist of fate without the use of one arm! After some frustrating near falls, Matt took Mercury's nose guard off and delivered a top rope facebuster of sorts and got the one two three emphasizing that the Hardy's will be in the Money in the Bank match! This match set up a great tempo for the show, and on television you could finally hear the roar of the crowd. This guy got some major cheers!

Jimmy Wang Yang, Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon Moore def. Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms & Daivari

This was a fast paced match. Very fast paced, and it worked well for the Cruiserweights, which is something that I want to see more often. In WCW the cruiserweights were king of the hill in the midcard and you couldn't deny the power that they had over the audience. That being said, if WWE continues to offer this type of match-up, you'll see a better fan base in the realm of the light heavyweights.

I also wanted to note that in this match there was a lot of high flying action, involving two or more guys, so that the ending came when Jimmy Wang Yang was alone with one other person. The match must not have been as good as I thought, Since I cannot remember who was pinned.

Ashley def. Jillian

These two can't wrestle. I don't care who is in playboy or not, I wanted to pull my hair out at this point. This is bad.

Finlay def. MVP and United States Champion Chris Benoit - Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

This match was definitely better than I thought it was going to be. The chemistry between the three guys shown greatly, because the moves were being done flawlessly and worked overall in telling a story in this match. Chris Benoit looked like a house of pain as he was delivering shot after shot. The finish came with an excellent Sharpshooter & Crippler Crossface on the two other men, but the foreign object came into play when Finlay got an assist from the little bastard under the ring. Overall a great match, with a lot of mat wrestling, quick covers, and the Sharpshooter which made the crowd go nuts!

ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Mr. Kennedy

In a move that is creating a lot of buzz online, Mr. Kennedy wrestles Bobby "No Mic" Lashley in an ECW Championship match. The stipulations were that if Kennedy cheated he was not to be disqualified and if Lashley cheated he would be dq'd immediately. So the rules were sketchy and favored Kennedy's heal like mannerisms. The match was great, with Kennedy carrying the big man for most of the match and delivering all the offense until the closing moments which made this my favorite televised match in a long time. The finish came when Mr. Kennedy went for a chop block, but Lashley calculated the exact moments when Kennedy was going to hit the mat as he Jumped vertically and missed Kennedy's arm connecting by a fraction of a second, creating a momentum of cheering from the Crowd and grabbing my attention immediately. After this, he turned things around with a running powerslam and finished off Kennedy for the 1-2-3 and the win. This last sequence alone was so well plotted, so well executed that this match is my first pick for best match on Smackdown thus far.

Other notes: There was some segments involving Undertaker,Batista,McMahon, and others, but I don't pay much attention to those for review purposes. I like wrestling most, and the segments are only secondary to building the product, so while I watch them, I don't really have a lot of commentary for those.

I Don't Want Wrestling On MTV

I never liked the idea of MTV trying to get wrestling on to their network, and apparently neither did MTV as they have cancelled the show after 4 episodes. According to the ratings, the Wrestling show is not the least watched program on MTV, and I'm sure they can easily pawn off a show that is not produced by themselves, than to admit that they might have made a mistake by allowing a weekly show on their network.

According to recent developments, it appears that Wrestling Society X retains all the rights to the show, but then again, why would MTV want to associate themselves with a failed show? Point is: They Don't.

Remember the animation shows on MTV that were getting a lot of promotion and now are nowhere to be mentioned. Including Aeon Flux, 3rd South, That stupid High School show with the president etc, and of course that failed Spiderman show!

MTV should play music videos again, and forget all about their stupid need for programming. I don't want to see some Football idiots in the midwest, I want to see some Metal and some mayhem! Then again, I like Football.

I just wish more music was played on the network.

Wrestling Society X may show up on dvd soon, and that's where it will die. WWE is still number one in the wrestling world, with TNA a very distant second, and WSX a failed promotion.

Stone Cold Gets Geered? Ignored Is More Like It

Steve Austin recently appeared at Wizard World in Los Angeles to promote his upcoming film The Condemned. During Tuesday’s ECW/SmackDown tapings the trailer for the movie was shown; however the crowd gave little reaction to Austin. The opposite should be the case when he is announced on RAW that he will be the special referee for the Lashley vs. Umaga match at WrestleMania.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is a huge, larger than life character. However, this is not 1999 or 2001, and he doesn't have the pull or weight that He once had. I believe that this guy can go a long way, but by hanging onto the coat tails of the wwe, he's not going to be labeled as serious.

His new movie the Condemned is currently being promoted. The trailer can be seen below:

Apparently, the Comic Book geeks aren't watching professional wrestling these days. Further proving that maybe Hulk Hogan is still a bigger and badder commodity than even Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Konnan Still Needs a Kidney

Konnan, international superstar, still needs a Kidney.

Konnan was the #1 box office draw in Mexico's Lucha Libre circuit. He also wreslted in WCW, and was a member of the NWO and even had his own stable at one point with Rey Mysterio Jr. and now what? Did he blow all his money? Did he squander his friendships?

I heard that some fans actually want to donate their kidney's to this guy. This is ridiculous. If you're working for TNA wake up! The company doesn't have the money to pay for a top star to get medical attention, then they should just stop trying to produce such a lousy project. What company, banks on the talents of their employees and doesn't offer some sort of medical help? Even my piece of crap video store job offers me some help with medical bills.

Ok, so instead of being harder on the guy, I'm going to just say that this is a dissapointing endeavor. I feel bad for the guy, because when he was in Los ANgeles, he did his best to perform in front of a mexican audience and myself in the front.

I'm rambling because it bugs me that this guy doesn't have a new kidney yet. Maybe I should see if I'm compatable.

Jim Ross Is An Idiot

J.R or Jim Ross, depending on what you would personally like to call him is an idiot. That’s right, an idiot. He goes on his little blog and talks about different things and tries to dispel rumors and about wrestlers that he reads online.

I don’t believe for one second that rumors get to him, or that he honestly cares about the wwe watchers.

In a recent post he talks about how Randy Savage isn’t going to be in the Hall of Fame this year. This is funny to me, mainly because Jim Ross at one point was the Vice President of WWE Talent Relations! A Vice President in a multi-billion dollar company doesn’t know what’s going on with his own company? This seems to be a little much. Not only that, he doesn’t have the pull to put in Savage?

I’m not a big conspiracy guy, but this sounds too fish to be true. I don’t believe that if Jim Ross recommended Savage that anyone would disagree on the timing or levels that are considered in this decision.

I do however believe that McMahon must have had a falling out with Savage somewhere, and this is causing some major internet rumors.

Or I could be the idiot.
