WWF Coliseum Video Presents Hulkamania

Coliseum Video released this classic tape that featured some of the best wrestling from the early years, with their second release. Right now, you may not be a big fan of Hulk Hogan, but he wasn’t always a comedy or parody of a wrestling. That’s not what you get with Hulkamania, you get him at his absolute best. Hogan follows through some great matches and interviews with several major players from 1984.

Sure, this is mostly a fluff and edited piece, but it still provides you with a bit of history from the past. If you’re trying to complete a collection from Coliseum video, you absolutely need to get this. Not only is it entertaining, it shows the Hulkster in a whole new light. Most of you will not remember how amazing the guy was, and this proves it.

For those that are looking for a good copy of Hulkamania, you will be delighted by the fact that you can find it for relatively cheap. When I first bought it back in the 1990s, I had to purchase it from a video store that was closing down.

The matches that are found on this VHS tape from Coliseum video includes:

08/04/84 Hulk Hogan vs. Greg Valentine
12/10/84 Hulk Hogan vs. John Studd
08/21/84 TNT Show: Hulk Hogan makes protein shakes
06/17/84 Hulk Hogan vs. David Schultz
04/06/84 Hulk Hogan vs. John Studd (steel cage match)
1980s Hulk Hogan interview
01/23/84 Hulk Hogan vs. The Iron Sheik (Hogan wins WWF World Title)

I’m recommending that you check this out, it’s well worth it, if I do say so myself. Click here to read more about it, or even buy it for cheap.

WWF Coliseum Video Presents Wrestlings Bloopers Bleeps and Bodyslams Review

Wrestling's Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams is one of those releases from the WWF that you absolutely want to have. Why? It’s the first one released by the company and one example of how wrestling shouldn’t be taken so seriously. This tape features some moments that are 100% unedited, uncensored, and completely hilarious.

Even though it’s only 84 minutes long, it packs in a lot of features that you’re going to face palm. Many of the clips are from 1984, a time when wrestling was set to seriously get bigger. This is not attitude era, obviously, but it has some serious history for those that are looking to collection and get their hands on all WWF Coliseum video releases.

Wrestling's Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams has some classic names and features including segments with, Freddie Blassie, Mike Sharpe, Lou Albano, Iron Sheik, Wild Samoans, Hulk Hogan, Johnny Valiant, Adrian Adonis, Dick Murdoch, Andre the Giant, and Rowdy Roddy Piper, just to name a few. There are a few matches thrown in to level out the funny moments, and should definitely be worth your time.

Finding a good copy of Wrestling's Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams is simple. You can click here, and get it for under fifty bucks. If you book mark the link, you may find it cheaper. Overall, the quality is good, and if you’re going to amass a collection like me, then you’re going to want to buy this one. I highly recommend it.

Click the image below if you want to buy this:

The segments are as follows:

1984 TNT Show: Freddie Blassie gives love advice
1980s Mike Sharpe vs. Steve Grey (Grey loses his toupee)

Fashion Trends 101 - Live Person Stephanie

Liveperson.com is an intriguing conceptual website in which you get real world help from people that are experts in their given fields. Recently, I ran into one option that was quite good and helpful for interior design. I found Fashion Trends 101, and spoke with Stephanie, a very bright and gregarious person that intrigued me. She has 10 years of fashion industry experience, and focuses on beauty, wellness, fashion, and even interior design. Her design sense is amazing, and when you speak to her via email, chat, or over the phone you really get a sense for her knowledge.

Because Liveperson.com is about connecting real experts with people, you will not feel as though you’re getting pushed into buying something or get someone that is jaded about their job, instead, you get a friendly, warm, and I presume smiling person that is more than happy to speak with you about a wide range of topics. Stephanie is just one of the many people on the site, and it’s growing.

If you’re in need of any sort of fashion tips, trends, ideas, décor solutions, or you just want a little friendly advice, you owe it to yourself to engage her in conversation. If you can’t talk on the phone, drop her a quick email, or chat with her when she’s online.

You can visit her profile via liveperson.com here, and you can see why she’s definitely worth speaking to about a wide range of matters. Test the waters, see what she can help you with today, and you’ll be fascinated by just how the internet is evolving and changing the way we communicate, yet again.

Once again, if you need fashion, beauty, interior design, or advice from a real person, not a call center bot, than talk to Stephanie, and expert in Fashion Trends and more, here.

WWE Payback 2013 Thoughts and Review

copyright WWE.com
WWE Payback 2013 hit the Chicago area last night and while I don’t often venture forward to watch any pay per views, this time around I was intrigued by some of the card. I don’t remember everything that happened, but you might remember a few things more than I did, which is fine. The following things I wanted to comment on, even though more things happened. You can get full images, video and beyond by visiting the official wwe website, otherwise join me in ranting on a few things I noticed about the show.

WWE Payback Results

Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow
Curtis Axel defeated Wade Barrett and the Miz for the Intercontinental Title
Aj Lee defeated Kaitlyn for the divas championship
Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler for the World Heavyweight Championship
Cm Punk defeated Chris Jericho
The Shield defeated Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan
John Cena defeated Ryback in 3 Stages of Hell

I didn’t see the Sheamus match, so I can’t say much about that. I do however want to say that the show should have included that match up during the main ppv, instead of some of the filler that was on the line up.

Curtis Axel aka Mr. Perfect Lite

The triple threat match was actually really well done, and I absolutely loved the ending. Axel getting the pin on Barrett and capturing the IC title would have made his father proud. The only thing that I can’t get over is the fact that Axel has the personality and charisma of a wet paper bag. He needs to really work on that or else I will inevitably hate him. I loved the perfectplex pin which would’ve blown the roof off the arena, but oh well, new IC champion.

The divas did ok. That is all.

Alberto Del Rio bad guy?

I guess Del Rio is a heel again? I don’t know, he kept kicking Ziggler in the head and the whole storyline was about concussions, and didn’t bode well for me. I didn’t like the match and do not support the lame attempt at making Del Rio hated, he doesn’t need that, he can just cheat, like natural heels do.

Cm Punk returns to mediocrity.

The building was definitely loud for the big return, but Jericho is right, he is not the best in the world. Sure he beat Jericho clean and the two threw out a really good match, but was it the best? An instant classic? No! The crowd made the match though and Punk’s new shirt is awesome. Punk is definitely one of the more important aspects of wrestling right now, and I’m glad he’s back.

Super Cena wins again.

I had a shred of doubt as to the winner, but nope, Superman aka John Cena wins again. I am ultimately sick of Cena destroying ALL the heels. He can’t lose can he? I hate the guy, you hate the guy, he needs to turn heel now!

There you have it, all my thoughts on Payback 2013. If you want to support this blog and help me get cable to watch more shows away from my computer, than please support by buying stuff via amazon online. Thanks!

Rybak and Daniel Bryan Steal the Show

Out of all the things that were boring on Raw, one thing captured my attention and was well worth noting. Daniel Bryan, the once scourge of the WWE, put Rybak to one of his best matches ever. He was able to thwart the onslaught of Bryan’s attack at each helm, but didn’t get a super man victory of sorts. He had to earn the final win, but it wasn’t to be. Instead, he lost via disqualification, but not without what seemed to be the most heroic match of Bryan’s career. I thought it was an excellent display, and while Rybak still sucks, he managed to put on a good amount of entertainment for those of us that aren’t quite sold on him.

This time around he seemed to evoke Rhyno at every turn. I found his offense and the whole bout with Bryan to be something straight out of the old guy’s playbook. If there was a gore/spear than this thing would have been emulated long ago. The match is a highlight of what was otherwise a boring show, so you can definitely now go back to whatever it was you were doing, as I get back to work as well.

The Hypocrisy of Vince McMahon

Vinnie Mac was on Raw this week talking about how the WWE is family entertainment and isn’t a blood sport. He was referring to the fact that fans wanted Rybak to destroy Kofi Kingston on a previous edition of the WWE’s programs, and the crowd reacted with a great deal of chanting. Sure, McMahon is playing a role here, but what about the utter hypocrisy of the WWE at this point.

How are they hypocritical, and more importantly, how is McMahon’s words coming back to prove that the company doesn’t know how to entertain their older audience of, dare I say, smart wrestling fans? Well, he once again was pushing that “family” business, entertainment button, but the big main event that is coming up at Payback is that of John Cena battling Rybak (aka Bully Ray 2.0) in a 3 stages of hell match. Obviously there will be no blood, but the match will definitely call for some risky moves from both guys. Of course Superman, I mean John Cena will win out, but it’s this type of hypocritical thinking that is getting me back into wrestling.

I know, this all sounds stupid, and it’s not well written at all, but then again, since when is Sir Jorge’s WWE blog ever well written?

The point is that the family entertainment moniker that Vince was playing on during his speech on Raw doesn’t bode well for the present or future. I for one miss the blood days, and wish the crimson mask token wasn’t only spoken about Kane.

With that in mind, I’ll continue to ponder the notion of the hypocrisy of Vinnie Mac, since the “blood sport” that isn’t his business, sure seemed that way throughout Raw. With one major exception, the Divas boring match up. What a load of nonsense. Did you hear how quiet the announcers got, and how quiet the crowd was? It was definitely some of the worst aspects of Raw.

I’ll have more thoughts on Raw, and blog updates as I move forward with posting things on this site.

Curt Henning Spotted on WWE

One of the biggest debates that wrestling fans have online and most undoubtedly at home is the fact that Curt Hennig in the history books is also Curt Henning, or rather that the HENNING name was used in WWF/WWE for a long time, and only know are they starting to NOT use that at all.

This all causes confusion, but today I was on wwe.com and found out that they sure did use HENNING instead of the other name, and well, I guess that's a good victory for myself.

I saw some of Raw, and will most likely start updating this website sooner than later.

WWE Raw February 25 2013 Review

Blu Ray Royal Rumble 2013 sale
Buy the Royal Rumble Blu Ray
I finally stopped listening to other people’s opinion on wrestling and instead decided to just watch it for myself, without reading any new or anything else. My favorite moments from this week’s raw are probably not going to be what you liked, but hey, we’re all different. If you want results, read them somewhere else.

Here are my favorite Raw moments from February 25, 2013.

Triple H fighting Brock Lesnar was awesome, and the two can really brawl. I absolutely loved the way it all worked out and the blood that Lesnar had was also impressive. If you missed it, than you missed something great. Paul Heyman and Mr McMahon fought a little but the end result was rad.

CM Punk calling himself god was awesome. I loved it.

Dolph Ziggler and Ryback definitely put on one of my favorite matches in 2013. I loved the way things worked and Ziggler is ready to be the main event, the big time. Someone give him a title shot. Seriously, give him a title shot already!

John Cena and Cm Punk put on a classic wrestling match. I absolutely was thrilled with the way the pacing worked, the shots that were made, and the great Cena moves that were definitely showstoppers. Punk fought hard and he didn’t win, but wow, Cena earned this one in impressive fashion. I truly believe that John Cena is truly deserving the of the WrestleMania spot after this. However, I did not agree that Punk should’ve lost. I wanted him to go to the final third round at Mania, but oh well. I hope Punk gets a shot at Taker’s streak or something important.

WWE Raw was completely sold out this week in Texas and was impressive to say the least. I loved it, you probably liked it, enjoy it.

The Rock Sucks

3 Reasons Why I Hate The Rock’s Return

I have been a little quiet lately because I haven’t had a lot of time to update this blog. I write 30 articles a day for a variety of clients and at the end of my 8-hour shifts, I don’t have time to watch any wrestling, even though I wanted to. I wasn’t too upset that CM Punk dropped the belt to the Rock at the Royal Rumble, it was a fun match and it really had me entertained. It was the first pay per view that I had ordered in years and was glad that I could pay for it out right. However, I did notice that there are several things that I didn’t like about the return of the Crock….er I mean the Rock.

3 Things I Hate About The Rock

  • He Doesn’t Wrestle That Much – First and foremost, you will have to look at Chris Jericho. Jericho returned to a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble match and nearly won it all. The next night on Raw he wrestled, than he wrestled throughout the week and even though this week, which is more than Rock has done since his 1 match. He’s had more matches back than the WWE champion CROCK! He doesn’t just go out and talk he goes into the ring and puts on entertaining matches. One might argue that Punk didn’t wrestle that much, but before his injury he was wrestling every week, putting on instant classics, and even in the new year he wrestled Ryback in an awesome ladder match. Simply put, Rock doesn’t wrestle for free, he jokes around and looks like a horses ass.
  • He’s Yesterday’s News – Cena was right, Rock doesn’t care about the people nor does he care about the wrestling world. He left, he even didn’t want to be called “THE ROCK” at first, and now he all of a sudden wants to come back? Not only that, he topples Cena at WrestleMania, and now he’s the champion, that makes no sense. What a crock. He hasn’t shown that he cares at all and it is exhibited in the way he puts on boring segments that are NOT wrestling on a wrestling show.
  • The Rock is overrated – There, I said it. Much like I have said many times that The Undertaker’s streak is overrated, the Rock is overrated. He hasn’t had a quality match in ages and in fact, I don’t remember one solitary entertaining match that the rock had without Steve Austin in the main event. That’s right.

Maybe I’m being a little too harsh on the guy, but I have yet to be entertained by him in his latest run. If you like him, awesome, I don’t. I believe that Punk should get his revenge, Rock should get fed to Taker and Taker should walk away happy. Good riddance.

Well, until next time, drop me a line, what are your thoughts, I am often times wrong you know. I must admit, I probably would buy The Royal Rumble 2013 Blu Ray here.

WWE Raw 1/7/13 Review

Instead of posting the results, which you already know, this blog will be an ongoing free form discussion on what I remember from Raw last night, and will not be discussing things I didn’t remember or enjoyed.

Team Hell No vs. Team Rhodes Scholars

I love how Cody Rhodes is younger than me and more successful. It’s an odd thing to realize but man, I’m old. The match was good, and it shows that the WWE can in fact still have a good overall tag team division, but with only a handful of teams being pushed constantly, I don’t think that there needs to be tag titles any longer. They need to introduce way more tag teams or else this is all for not.

Ziggler vs. John Cena

John Cena is a beast, and he sure can wrestle. When he is put in the ring with someone good like Ziggler, Cena shines. He brings a better game than he brought against the Rock last year and it’s evidenced by this great overall Raw match. I didn’t like the ending, as I do not believe Cena needs the win here. Ziggler needed the win with his new bodyguard to further cement that he is going to get a title run with the help of the bodyguard, who then turns on him at the moment he wants to go for the title himself.

Cm Punk vs Rybak in a TLC Match

Anyone who isn’t sold on Rybak needs to reexamine why they love professional wrestling. This match was balls out awesome, and everything that the two competitors did I was cheering for. I was split between the two guys, and I was cheering for Punk’s loss, but could see why Rybak wasn’t going to get the belt. I haven’t seen a stiff competitor for the crown like this in a while so I’m glad this match happened.

I could see Rybak forcing the pin fall at Rumble to go to the Rock or even the Shield screwing Rock over, but for all intents and purposes CM Punk vs Rybak stole the show for me.

Punk and Rock talking a lot

This bored me. I don’t care. This reminded me of the south park parody about wrestling where they just talk and barely wrestled. Lame. The Rock was never my favorite, and I still stand by my prediction, Taker vs Rock main event…right? Right? Anyone?

What are your thoughts? What did I miss? Drop me a line, comment, and PLEASE try the fish…I mean go to Amazon.com and buy something. Writing is my only job and this is part of it. I get paid very little so please help support in any way you can!

The Rock to Wrestle Undertaker

This is being posted hours before Raw goes live and I’m calling it right now. Forget Cm Punk, forget everyone else. There is one person that The Rock has yet to defeat at WrestleMania and the Undertaker has yet to take on one man that has eluded him until now and that’s THE ROCK!

The Rock doesn’t need the title, he doesn’t need to wrestle John Cena, and he doesn’t need to feud with CM Punk, he needs the Undertaker, or rather The Undertaker needs him! Imagine the dead man versus the Rock at Mania?

That’s the way that Undertaker can solidify his overblown and over rated streak.

That’s right, I said it’s overrated.

I have no basis for this, but I would much rather see Undertaker wrestle The Rock than anyone else, except for STING!

If I am write, make sure you tell all the smart wrestling fans, all the smarks, and everyone podcasting that I, sir Jorge stated this first!

If I'm wrong, oh well.

Oh yeah, and I'M BACK!

Another End or Hiatus

At the moment, I do not make any money from this site.

No one clicked links, no one bought stuff from amazon.

So I will not be posting anything for a while.

I am 100% freelance and a writer and cannot maintain the schedule that this site needs. I don't have cable and rely on hulu and youtube, and just don't want to spend my life on this site without getting any compensation.

I might return, later....just not right now.

It's been fun, I'll see you guys around if I get a new job or paid more.

WWE Main Event 1/3/13 Review

Wade Barrett continued to look strong even though he lost the final match up in this gauntlet. It looks as though he will still feud with Kofi Kingston for the intercontinental championship, which is a good thing. I'd like to see more variety in the WWE so maybe this will help. The gauntlet was fine, but it was the first match that stole the show.

Great Khali is not known for great matches, he's known for being slow and large. However, int this one he looked like a million bucks and it wasn't all Cesaro it was the both of them putting together a decent match. The ending was fabulous, and if ou missed it, well you definitely missed something special. Cesaro lifted Khali for his finisher and boom, once again retains the title.

Now that's wrestling folks.

WWE Monday Night Raw 12/31/12 Results and Review Last Time in 2012

WWE Monday Night Raw 12/31/12 Review

The last Raw of 2012 was shown last night and it was quite interesting to say the least. There were some rough spots, but there were some great moments if you managed to see the whole thing.

The first thing that fans were treated to was MIZTV with John Cena only to get interrupted by Team Rhodes Scholars and that set up the night of wrestling. It was an interesting start and Miz is starting to possibly pull the fans a little.

The talking points were not that great, and I didn't like a lot of it. Mae Young showed up, some throwback moments were mentioned and well amidst a New Year's party the matches were set and random things happened.

CM Punk vs Rock Set Up Begins

Vince McMahon came out and stopped Punk's talking, and while Punk got to verbally berate the CEO or whatever his position is now, and it was nice to set up. The move would create an interesting match for the night and next week. Ryback will fight Cm Punk in a TLC match next week which is going to be an amazing night of wrestling. That's the big thing, especially since the Rock is going to be on the show.

Will the Rock interfere in the match? I think we might see something interesting develop. Or will the Shield attack Rock? That's for next week.

Match Commentary

Antonio Cesaro put a serious hurting on Sgt. Slaughter which was cool to see, even though Cesaro is wavering with the fans at this point.

Cena and Miz in a tag team was actually over which was nice. I didn't think the match was that great, but I was impressed with Cena. He has more moves than the last time I seriously watched him wrestle.

The tag title match was not half bad with 3MB getting a shot at the dysfunctional team. The match was ok, and I like the way 3MB is booked to be hated.

Sheamus was a great opponent for Dolph Ziggler and it showed. I thought the match was a great example of how Ziggler and Sheamus are defintielty theh future of the company in many ways. I'm interest in seeing here Big E. Langston is going to do in the future. The Shield stop the finish, and they still seem cool to me, like the NWO.

Big Slow bored me.

Wade Barrett Intercontinental Championship

The Match of the NIGHT!

Wade Barrett and Kofi put on a great showcase of wrestling. The two fought a good overall match and Barrett finally showed me something great. His losing streak in the latter of 2012 was done, and Kofi looked to bring out the best in the brawler, but it was Barrett's night with a good overall match up. Barrett is the NEW Intercontinental Champion!

What are your thoughts? Did you like Raw?
