Bobby Roode Wins Against Rusev - SRC WWE dot com |
WWE Smackdown Live February 6, 2018 Results and Review
The opening of Smackdown features the Daniel Bryan top 10 list which featured the people that you’d expect, without Rusev. Rusev gets the most attention and fan fare, and yet the WWE doesn’t seem to listen.
Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan open the show together and they are talking about random BS and how Daniel Bryan is living vicariously through Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Bryan denies it, and we start the show.
Charlotte Flair defeated Liv Morgan
This was an easy match for Flair. Morgan was able to gain the upper hand a few times, but it wasn’t that great. Charlotte Flair fought and won, within a short span. I love Flair, and would love to hang out with her and interview her for this blog. Liv Morgan needs a lot more time to develop, but Flair is grand here.
The Bludgeon Brothers defeated JOBBERS
The Brothers win. Ok.
The Usos Cut A Promo
The USOS are good on the mic, and well, they need more challengers.
Bobby Roode defeated Rusev
It was RUSEV DAY and yet Bobby Roode didn’t care. This was a good back and forth match, with Rusev throwing down some great points, but it was Roode that would get the final win with his Glorious DDT. This was a good television match, mind you, not great, but it had my attention, and Rusev loses clean in the US Title Match.
Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable defeated The Ascension
Not a bad match, but not a great one either. The Ascension did throw in some great overall offense, and found the overall fight to be good, but Gable and Benjamin would not be stopped and they get the win. I like that team and think they should get more chances to get the titles, I would watch them in nearly any type of match. They should get a street fight in with the Usos.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ended in a No Contest
This match was a brawl from start to finish. Zayn and Owens put each other through many of their classic moves, and it wasn’t half bad. Owens would end up on the losing end at one point and out came Aj Styles to fight Zayn and Owens, and that was that. At the end of the match, it was thrown out and Bryan threw out that the guys would play in Fastlane.
This night wasn’t that good. It was ok. I liked it a little, but it seemed far too short and missed a lot of different people on the roster.
