Laringitis Sucks Raw Smells Like Poop

For those of you that caught Monday Night Raw tonight, you noticed something that noticed, and that was the highly terrible opening with none other than what I refer to as Laringitis. The general manager position is not only a hated one right now, it's down right making it a misery to watch Monday night's offering from the WWE. Aside from the horrible plot to have him beat up John Cena at Over The Limit the injection of CM Punk is wasted entertainment. Punk does what he can to make it interesting, but it's just not.

Other than that, we get roughly 30 - 40 minutes of wrestling, and that's being very generous. None of the wrestling managed to make me want to write a full review and no one cared. Sure, the live crowd is always going to be relatively hot, because you're in the building and watching a LIVE event go down, but for the millions of people watching, this edition of Raw is just not that great.

With one exception:

FUNKASAURUS!

Brodus Clay has proven to be one of the most entertaining wrestlers to come up in recent times and his match with The Miz might not have been a technical masterpiece, but it was definitely a throwback to a much better time in professional wrestling. Outside of Brodus, there is nothing redeeming about the show tonight, and I believe that many people will agree with me.

Oh, one last thing, Heyman saying that Brock Lesnar quits only adds fuel to the fire. It's an interesting angle and I can only assume it's that. I mean, word on the street is that Lesnar threw a fit backstage at WWE already, so he's in the doghouse, and well, WWE does not need Lesnar. Lesnard needs WWE, and that's the truf, or truth or whatever.

Big Poker

Did you know that the world of wrestling and online poker go hand in hand? That’s right, if you’re not aware of this great thing, you should check out the latest and greatest options that are available today. You can even play real superstars if you are savvy enough to discover where they are hanging out from time to time. The game of skill that is taking the nation by storm is not something that most people discover until they are older. I for one, didn’t start playing the game until I was in my late 20’s and now I absolutely love the game and play whenever I can.

When you’re deciding where to play, make sure that you check out poker rooms that will help you progress with the skills necessary to move forward. You will need to learn when to hold your cards back and when to go all in. The two distinctions are difficult to manage if you’re a novice, but if you play enough hands, you will find which card pairs are worth investing money into. Poker is a beautiful game full of wins and losses, and you’ll find out that the winnings associated with the game can rise through six figures and help you live your dreams. It’s a game of skill, don’t ever forget that, and you’ll make it far with the cards.

WWE Monday NIght Raw 1/30/12 Review and What not

Alright, I finally got my shot at watching wrestling, and it's been a long time coming. I'm not going to write longwinded reviews like I used to, as I do not have enough time to get that all working and done. Consider this to be a new beginning on this wrestling site. I will need a news guy, so if you're reading this and want to send me news to post (once daily) email me at sir jorge at gmail dot com, the position doesn't pay anything (i don't make any money yet) but it would be nice to have posts daily.

Standout moments on Raw were few and far between, there were 3 reasons why you want to go back and watch this crap again.

1. Daniel Bryan vs. Cm Punk - Champion versus champion on raw? This was a great match that was booked to make both men strong. The match was a string of moves that were not at all forced, and just seemed natural. These two really are the best at what they are doing, and the crowd seemed to enjoy the show. The ending was perfect, protecting both champions and setting up what will be a good Wrestlemania moment.

2. Undertaker - I still say the streak is over rated, but amidst Triple H firing someone, out came the Undertaker. The Undertaker essentially set up a rematch with Triple H for Wrestlemania, and you know what? I don't care, you didn't care, but we will all mark out anyway as the dead man retires after 20-0 at the big event. I would've much rather seen someone else, like even Sting go out there and take on the dead man.

3. Kane, Cena, and Eve - Eve is hot, have you seen her eyes? I love her. Beth Phoenix made it easy to beat her, but out came Kane followed by Cena and it was awesome. I'm starting to go with whatever WWE sends out, simply because there is no #2 company that can compete.

So there you have it, 3 things that makes you want to check out Raw if you missed it. I enjoyed the show, although truncated in some ways. You can see more of the show, pictures, and more via wwe online.

WWE Royal Rumble 2012 Review

Woa! A New post?!?!

I was fortunate enough to go see the Royal Rumble with a friend, and it was awesome. It's nice to make new friends, and get to know other wrestling fans around the city.

The show is still fresh in my memory, and here is what I liked the most.

Funkasaurus

Brodus Clay is hilarious, can dance, reminds me of Akeem The African Dream, but can he hack it? We will have to wait to see whether or not he can wrestle when he gets some serious opponents. Right now they are just building him up with squash matches etc.

CM Punk vs Ziggler

This match had a wonky ending, but the two put on a very fast paced, well played out match with a lot of intricate moments that if you blinked you missed. Ziggler reversing the GTS into a fameasser was clever, the back and forth "I'm smarter" wrestling style of Punk is something I haven't seen in WWE for a long time. The match seemed short but they did everything they could to stand out, and I loved it.

Divas

The divas were ok

Cena and Kane

Cena isn't half bad here, and Kane didn't go slow or tire me. The match was actually kind of cool, and Cena did his best to make this more than just his standard match up. I maybe starting to become a Cena fan.

The Royal Rumble Match

The best rumble match I've seen in years! I loved last years event, but this one had a lot of highlights. Kofi Kingston's hand stand and walking outside to get back into the ring was an instant classic. Cody Rhodes nearly winning, The Miz lasting nearly to the end, Socko vs The Cobra, Booker T, Michael Cole, King, and so much more happened that made the event amazing. OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?!?! Now that's an a great thing.

I for once enjoyed a ppv so much that I have no complaints. Smart Wrestling fans are stupid, hating on this, but me? I loved it. Great Rumble, Great show, I might post more from now on.

You Do It

I've been getting comments and messages about continuing with this site, and well, I can't.

I don't have cable, and I'm not going to sit for hours piecing together the shows from youtube. I listen to a few podcasts and from what I hear, I'm not missing much.

I can't afford to get cable, and like I said, I'm not going to struggle to get the shows or download them.

If you are interested in continuing to write, I'll post your comments and what not. Otherwise, this site is on permanent hiatus.
