WWE No Mercy 2017 Results and Review

WWE No Mercy 2017 - SRC WWE dot com
WWE No Mercy 2017 was in Los Angeles this past Sunday, and I was watching it live on the WWE Network. I wanted to be in Los Angeles for this, but I blew my proverbial load on going to Las Vegas and Spokane earlier this year. That was a fun trip, and I loved the experience, but here I was stuck without being able to fly out. It doesn’t matter, though. WWE No Mercy came through with some epic matches, but honestly, it wasn’t that grand overall. But there were a few notes to consider.

WWE No Mercy 2017 Results and Review

Elias defeated Apollo Crews

This match started the show, and it wasn’t that bad. Elias is a big guy, and Apollo is so athletic, that these guys put on a good match. Elias definitely has something going for himself. Apollo is a classic character, but he’s floundering with a lackluster crowd out there. Elias gets the win here, and I will walk with Elias any time!

The Miz defeated Jason Jordan

The Los Angeles crowd loved The Miz. The Miz really gave Jason Jordan a good match, and the two were definitely grand overall. It was a fun overall match with Jordan throwing a lot of weight around. The Miz was able to get the win with outside interference, and I liked that a lot. Miz winning garnered a huge pop from the crowd.

Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt

Balor had the worst outfit on. I couldn’t stop laughing at it. Wyatt eats another pin. Are you surprised? This match wasn’t that bad, but it also wasn’t that good. Wyatt threw down some great offense, but Balor wins again, and now I hope he can move on to something else. He should be challenging for the title he never lost.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro and Sheamus

Another classic match from these guys. Cesaro was able to throw in a great deal of offense, and spots that looked amazing. Cesaro knocked out two teeth at one point, and Ambrose looked to have messed up his shoulder at one point. The match was fun, fast paced, hard hitting, and just made sense a lot. There was a lot of story telling here, and I loved it. This was the best match of the night if you ask me. Great back and forth, and lots of fans going nuts.

Alexa Bliss defeated Sasha Banks, Bayley, Nia Jax, and Emma

Alexa Bliss wins! I’m a fan, and while the rest of the girls put on a good show, they didn’t get the win here. Bliss won with her DDT, and the women really teamed up to take out Nia Jax. Bayley and Sasha worked together for a while, then split up for a moment, and Emma was just getting beat up a lot. Nia Jax took some incredible bumps in this match, and it was awesome.

Roman Reigns defeated John Cena

Wow. Just wow. Cena threw every single thing at Roman Reigns. 4 Attitude Adjustments, Reigns took everything and he still kicked out. Roman Reigns hit the super man punch and a spear, and it was over. Roman Reigns gets credit here for taking everything and the kitchen sink from Cena. Also, for almost breaking his neck spearing Cena through a table. This was great, and the two worked well together. Roman Reigns won clean, in the middle, and that was that. Cena looked to be retiring much like he did in May, but that was the end of this match.

Enzo Amore defeated Neville to Win The WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Neville beat the hell out of Enzo. This match was swift, and after some time, a kick to the nuts garnered Enzo the big win and the title. I kid you not. I’m not sure what’s going on with the Cruiserweights, but this should make for an interesting 205 Live this week, right? Neville deserves better.

Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman

This was not a great match, it was slow and lumbering. But I will give Brock credit for taking a lot of offense. Braun Strowman gave him a decent offering, and Lesnar seemed to be in trouble several times, before Braun Strowman hit many powerslams, but they weren’t enough. Lesnar hit an F5 and then pinned him, and that was it. He cleanly won, and The Monster was defeated. Sigh. Lesnar phones it in. I’m so sick of this guy. A part timer is the champion? Ugh. So boring.

WrestleMania 32 Results and Review The Rise of The Roman Empire

WrestleMania 32 live from Dallas Texas. I wanted to be there live, but couldn’t make it. I have no friends. Next year, however, I may buy a ticket and fly into Orlando and enjoy it. I may even start a podcast. Oh, and if you’re reading this, drop me a line sirjorge AT gmail, if you’re interested in writing for this blog. IMAGE SRC WWE.COM

The general consensus that I saw on Twitter was definitely interesting. A LOT of so called podcasters and websites trashed the show. In fact, a big middle finger to Joey Numbas of Wrestling Soup, Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Nodq.com and others that completely trashed the show. Big F-U!

If you do not like WWE or didn’t like it, TURN IT OFF! No one is forcing you to watch, or comment. You make money off of WWE, by writing, commenting, podcasting, and more. Shut up about it. Don’t like the show? Get a job with WWE and change things from the inside. Idiots. GD idiots.

Now, on to the results and review from me, after watching it all!

Kaliso defeated Ryback in a US Championship Match

This was not a terrible match. Kalisto is really cool sometimes, and the overall match psychology worked. The finish was great, with Ryback hitting the exposed metal turnbuckle and getting rolled up. I liked it. It was a good match.

Team Total Divas defeated Team Bad and Blonde

This was an ok match. Lana was extremely stiff, and the star for me was Naomi. Wow. This was beautiful, she’s such an amazing athlete. Wow, totally impressed by her. As for Total Divas? Meh.

The Usos defeated The Dudley Boyz

The Usos aren’t grand. The Dudley Boys lose. It was cool to see the Usos going through tables onto The Dudleys. That was the best part of the match, great spots in my opinion.

Zack Ryder won the Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match that featured 7 total competitors

This was awesome. I had a lot of fun watching this. Every guy took some insane bumps. Stardust pulling out a polka-dot ladder was great. I loved that. The Miz was close to winning but Zack Ryder jumped through. Not only that, the finish, wow. Kevin Owens head was placed inside a ladder and left for dead! Ryder wins, and I loved it, great finish, no one saw it coming.

Chris Jericho defeated AJ Styles

These two wrestlers put on a clinic of wrestling. 5 stars in my view. Aj Styles is absolutely amazing, absolutely the best competitor that should have been in WWE a long time ago. The level of competition in TNA and other areas just doesn’t match up, this was beautiful. Chris Jericho is absolutely great here, and winning was definitely great.

The League of Nations defeated The New Day

Well, this didn’t go well for The New Day. The New Day was great as usual, but they lost to the “Bro” kick. This ended in a dance off with Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and Steve Austin getting the crowd completely going. Other than that, this was a forgettable match. Oh, and how can I not mention the giant box of BOOTY O’s cereal that the New Day came out of.

Brock Lesnar defeated Dean Ambrose in a street fight

This was great. Great overall, Lesnar won. I don’t like the guy, after he was interviewed and said he basically didn’t care about the business nor did he care about the fans. He just wants to make money, and Vince McMahon pays big checks for him, and he cashes them. F this guy. Lesnar wins after an F5 onto a stack of chairs. Ambrose is done, finished, give the guy a week off.

Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks for the Women’s Championship

The new women’s belt was debuted on the show. Charlotte won a stellar match. Throw out psychology and just sit back and enjoy some of the best women’s wrestling of all time. I called the finish, and loved the way the booking went to Charlotte, being a strong champion.

The Undertaker defeated Shane McMahon in a hell in a cell match

This was slow, slow match. I didn’t really care for it, until my heart was going insane when Shane climbed the cell then jumped off! He missed. He absolutely missed. He was dead. Shane was taken out on a stretcher. Undertaker wins, and well, that’s the end of that. Shane’s jump was absolutely insane, that’s all I can say.

Baron Corbin won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Now this was interesting. DDP came out, Tatanka came out, Baron Corbin was there, and SHAQ came out too. It was fun. This was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the finish. However, Corbin just lost to Austin Airies at NXT Takeover, so this booking decision seemed odd to me. I still had a lot of fun with this.

The Rock and Cena defeated The Wyatts

I hated this. I don’t care for The Rock, I don’t care about Cena, and the Wyatts again get buried. Oh well.

Roman Reigns defeated Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship

This was a slow moving match and the finish, wow. Reigns spears Stephani, wins the title and there was a lot of boos. This was insane. Reigns is the champion; no one threw trash in the ring.

I loved this year’s Wrestlemania. I loved it. I thought it was a fun show, and enjoyed it a great deal. I had a couple of beers, a pizza, and it just was fun. I loved it. If you didn’t like it, then perhaps you shouldn’t watch wrestling any longer.

WWE NXT Takeover Dallas 4/1/2016 Results and Review

Here we go, WrestleMania weekend is here yet again and I’m back in action. First up I am going to talk about WWE NXT Takeover Dallas. I did not see this live, I had to watch it this morning before work. Last night I was doing anything else, since it was on a little too late for me on the East Coast. Now, in regards to this night of action, there’s a lot to say and some of it you may not like.

First and foremost, this was live from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center which holds some 10,000 some odd individuals. I wanted to go, but I decided against it since I have no friends to meet up with, and well, that’s just my damn luck, right?

WWE NXT Takeover Dallas Results

WWE NXT Takeover Dallas Review

American Alpha defeated The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championship

This was a good overall match. I kept thinking that Kurt Angle should’ve come out to make American Alpha the new Team Angle, but that obviously didn’t happen. The Revival should get a call up to the main roster, I hope. They are crisp, even though there was one botch. This match was an energetic match with a lot of good spots, great tags, and excellent wrestling.

Austin Aires defeated Baron Corbin

I never liked Austin Aires. I think he’s a poor man’s CM Punk, and it showed here. Corbin is bland. This match ended in a roll up, and I didn’t even have a buzz yet. Not a good match. I don’t care about Aires, his attire sucks, and he needs something more to establish him.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Sami Zayn

Nakamura is a huge star in Japan. I don’t get it. Sure, he has a few cool points, but I think that Shinsuke Nakamura is OVER RATED. That’s right, he’s overrated. I don’t see the big deal. He had some nice counters but overall Zayn and his match is over rated, even if it did go 20 minutes. It’s a solid match, no doubt, but is it deserving of so much praise I’m hearing? Nope.

Asuka defeated Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship

Asuka is really good, but this match seemed forced towards the end. Bayley passing out? Really? That’s it? This match was 15 minutes in length, and Asuka made Bayley fall asleep. This should set up a submission match for the title. I loved the dynamics in this match, but I don’t see these two women getting a shot at the main roster, as you may see that the main roster only books hotter women, just saying.

Finn Balor defeated Samoa Joe

The referees kept stopping the match for blood, that took away from the overall action. Samoa Joe is lean, and at his absolute best in NXT. He’s amazing now, compared to “fat” joe in TNA. This match was good, and Balor is a good overall wrestler, but his win shocked me. The match was good overall, and Joe really did a good job putting on the bad ass element. Overall, good match up, with some great spots.

Final Thoughts

Ok, Nakamura is still overrated. Sorry. I don’t see the appeal, especially since I’ve been watching wrestling since 1986 and have seen nearly every single Japanese wrestler come through WWF and WWE and even WCW and guess what? They don’t last. Maybe WWE will do well with him, but then again, remember Suzuki? There’s so many examples of misuse of Asian wrestlers, that I’m not sure WWE will make me care about Nakamura just yet. He’s ok, overrated at this point though.

The rest of the card was good. Good overall wrestling, and I didn’t care about story lines. If you’re a fan of pure wrestling, then of course this is a good show. Was it as stellar as Brooklyn? Maybe not. But it’s a good showing, and it really made me sad not to have friends and family that would go to WrestleMania. I feel even more alone in this world when I see 10,000 fans in a building, and yet I’m here in my living room alone and without friends. Sigh.

WWE Night of Champions 2015 Results and Review

I had debated whether or not I wanted to watch this. All day I didn’t want to spend the 9.99 to get this. Then at the last minute my wife had to go to work and I decided to bite the bullet and see if I could watch the WWE once again screw me over. Night of Champions 2015 was live from Houston and I’m glad I didn’t have to pay the high costs of PPV from back in the day, aren’t you?

WWE Night of Champions 2015 Results and Review

Stardust and The Ascension defeated Neville and The Lucha Dragons

I think this is what went down. I have no idea how I missed what was going on. I don’t really like these guys, but at least they got a pay day right? I just can’t get over the fact that The Ascension were already buried by the legends, specifically JBL on Raw. Just sayin. Oh and Neville is the man creative forgot, so there’s that.

Kevin Owens defeated Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship

SRC wwe.com

This was an ok match. Owens did his best here, but I hated the finish. The finish made this match suck for me. A distraction roll up is what I call it. That’s all it takes to beat Ryback? A scrape to the eyes and a roll up? What is this 1985? No thanks.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Rusev

No thanks. Without Lana’s little dance from when she was approached by Fandango, this didn’t hold much water. These two are ok but this feud makes no sense and is boring. Ziggler is wasted here.

The Dudley Boyz defeated The New Day via DQ

This match was very fun. The guys in New Day sure know how to create an entertaining match up. I loved it, and the crowd was way into what they were doing. The Dudleyz can still go, and that’s great. Bubba is a great performer at his age, and Devon, come on, DEVON TESTIFY! This was a fun showing, especially with Xavier and the Trombone! Overall a decent match with a terrible ending. I loved the table spot at the end, but alas, no title change. New Day Rocks, New Day Rocks….it’s hard to make it sound cool via text.

Charlotte defeated Nikki Bella

This was the best Nikki Bella match I’ve ever seen. Why? Because it told a psychological story. Charlotte had to overcome the onslaught of attack on her leg. She had to overcome the constant pressure of the champion, and dig in and win. Nikki is not a great wrestler, but here, it made sense. Attack a limb, and just keep working on it, but alas, she made a mistake. This is a good way to end the title reign she’s had.

The Wyatt Family defeated Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho

The announcement of Y2J was cool, but he doesn’t fit this feud in my view. Why didn’t they go with Samoa Joe? Or why didn’t they go for someone bigger? Kane would’ve worked here, and I hate Kane. Chris Jericho still has some go, and it was nice to see this go down. When he lost the match though, it seemed awkward. He didn’t give any apologies, he just shoulder pushed his way through Ambrose and Reigns and that was that.

John Cena defeated Seth Rollins

This was a good match, but not nearly as good as their Summerslam match up. Given limited time, they put together a good enough moment. Rollins lost clean here, and Super Cena will return to his Raw showcases I’m sure.

Seth Rollins defeated Sting

Word on the street is Sting got injured. I was impressed by what he did. He came off the top rope in crazy fashion, took a table bump, and went for it against Rollins. However, Sting got injured and it seemed as though he was showing his age. That being said, it wasn’t worthwhile. It was ok. But Sting is NOT in his prime, while Rollins definitely is. Rollins escapes with the title.

SRC wwe.com

Sheamus cashed in, or tried. But Kane came out and beat up Rollins. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE KANE OR THE BIG SHOW IN WWE EVER AGAIN!!! I threw a can at my television after seeing them.

Overall, Night of Champions 2015 gets a C rating. It’s passable. But it wasn’t a great show at all. I was bored throughout, with few exceptions. Oh well.
