WWE Smackdown Live October 16, 2018 Results and Review Smackdown 1000

Rey Mysterio Is Back in 2018 - Source WWE
We open up a show with the McMahon’s on Truth Tv, just in case you forgot the real stars of WWE. This went forward with antics as you’d expect, with lots of cheers, boos, and random interruptions, and more. The full McMahon family, with the exception of Linda come out for Truth TV. I won’t go play by play, but it’s just the McMahon doing their characters overall, nothing crazy I guess. I had to put on headphones and listen to music instead.

The Usos defeated Daniel Bryan and Aj Styles

The obvious finish here, but otherwise a good match with a lot of back and forth between the two teams. You can’t expect the champion and challenger to be a good team against two brothers. Plus, they are pushing the Styles versus Bryan title match that is coming up. So in that regard, this was a good match, with some nice back and forth, that’s for certain.

Evolution Segment

No, not the women’s show, it was the original guys of Evolution cutting promos about themselves and the future. I guess it was ok. They all talked, and Batista teased a match with Triple H for mania, although it isn’t set in stone of course.

The Miz defeated Rusev

This was a short match, and it ended with a distraction roll up. Notice how little wrestling was on this show folks. Afterwards Rusev beat up Aiden English, since he caused the distraction as he confronted Lana.

The Cutting Edge Segment

Meh. Edge is overrated. This was ok at best.

The Bar defeated The New Day for the WWE Smackdown Tag Titles

This was a good match as per usual, but then out came The Big Show and threw Kofi through a table, and helped The Bar win the titles. I guess this is a heel turn now? Great. Not a terrible match until The Big Slow came out.

Rey Misterio defeated Shinsuke Nakamura

Now this, this is a dream match, and we finally got Rey coming back to the WWE, which I think is amazing. The match started with Nakamura going strong style against the smaller opponent, hitting hard knees, trying to unbalance Rey, and working over the body and knees of Mysterio. However, Mysterio bounced back with hard strikes as well, and he was not going to down with a strong battle, and it was a good fight through. Rey Misterio would get the win after a 619 and a Frog Splash from the top, and that was that. Nakamura didn’t put much of a challenge in this one, that’s for sure. Good match overall, with Nakamura getting busted open at one point, and well that was that.

Smackdown 1,000 was not great.

Oh yeah, I forgot, The Undertaker showed up at the end, and did a promo, which was ok at best. I’m tired of seeing him. I hope he retires soon.

WWE Smackdown Live September 18, 2018 Results and Review Still The B Show Today

Rusev Day is Done - Source WWE
The show begins with talking. The Miz starts with MIz TV and ugh, so tired of talking on WWE shows.

The Miz called out Daniel Bryan and that forced Bryan to run down and beat up the MIz, only to have him hit Miz and drive him into Maryse. This thing just became a blood feud, which is an interesting element overall. This little focus was interesting, and Bryan seemed to be saddened by how this worked out. This thing got emotional, and Maryse did a stretcher job….nope, she was playing possum and The Miz attacked only to knock Maryse off the apron, and then Bryan knocking Miz out of the ring to the crowd going all out.

Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston

A great back and forth match, with a lot of action, and good overall flow, we got Cesaro showing off just how good of a wrestler he can be. Kofi is great too, and he threw down some great moments, as he got the L on this one. This could very well be the best match in the WWE this week, so I had fun watching it go down. Cesaro is a beast, yo, a true beast.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Rusev

A distraction roll up ends a match that was actually pretty good. But since it ended with a distraction roll up and this is the end of RUSEV day, I give up. I’m just going to throw papers in the air and give up. Aiden English after the fact just starts beating up Rusev, why? I don’t get it. This is stupid. Meh. Meh!

Aj Styles defeated Andrade Cien Almas

Almas should have won this match. He was fresh, he didn’t have a match Sunday, and he was just a better wrestler here, as Aj Styles sold his injuries from the match he had on Sunday. While he did a great deal of selling, Almas didn’t get run over, but the match didn’t go the way I would’ve booked it. Almas did put on a great deal of offense, so it wasn’t like this match sucked, but it definitely seemed to be telegraphed to get Aj Styles a strong win again. Styles did great here, and Almas gave him a good match too, but it should’ve gone the way of Almas.

After the match, Samoa Joe attacked and beat up Styles and that was that, well, not really, the two would brawl.

Asuka defeated One of the Iconics

I should learn their name. But when you give me a minute or 2 minute match, you don’t give me much time to learn or care about any team. Asuka wins, in a joke of a match.

Becky Lynch Coronation

This ended in a brawl between Flair and Lynch. It was ok. It’s lame that the only story lines that the WWE can come up with is friends turning on one another out of jealousy etc.

Smackdown left A LOT of talent off the show, and well, that makes it the B show yet again. No R Truth, no Sanity, no Tye Dillinger, and no lots of people on the roster.

WWE Smackdown Live September 11, 2018 Results and Review The B Show Proves Why They SUck

Miz Gonna Get It - Source WWE dot com
We begin the show with a 10 Bell Salute, which was really cool to see. Then instead of talking, we got wrestling! Yay!

I kid, first Jeff Hardy did a lot of talking, again. Meh. That was before the start of the match with Shinksuke Nakamura.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy Ended In A DQ

The match was going well for Hardy, and the normal back and forth you’d expect was going through, then out of the blue comes Randy Orton to beat up Hardy, and that was that. The match was thrown out and Orton beat up Hardy ahead of this match this weekend in a cage.

Aj Styles talked in an empty arena. Meh.

Charlotte Flair defeated Sonya Deville

You knew this was going to happen, right? I did. It was another ok match at best.

After the match, Becky Lynch showed up front he crowd and beat up Charlotte, which was kind of cool.

Samoa Joe talks. Ugh. This show has a ton of talking.

Rusev Day defeated The Bar

Well, that’s the end of the Bar isn’t it. Yep. The Bar goes down to Rusev Day and that means our title match his set for the weekend. This wasn’t much of a match, it was mid-speed, and telegraphed at many different levels. It wasn’t that bad. It was ok at best.

Andrade Cien Almas defeated R Truth

A distraction roll up ending to a very short match, ended with Cien Almas getting a win. This was stupid, if you ask me. Short match, boring. And just filler on a show that should be better, but isn’t.

Brie Bella defeated Maryse

Ugh. This is the end of Smackdown? I try to like the shows, but with so much talking, and lackluster moments, I find the the biggest issue with Smackdown is lack of wrestling, and just problematic story telling. Sure the ending featured Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, but meh, there’s so many other wrestlers on this roster, and yet we don’t get to see them at all. I guess that’s that, I don’t know what else to say about it.

WWE Smackdown Live August 14, 2018 Results and Review The Go Home B Show

Jeff Hardy Hits The Swanton on Nakamura - Source WWE
Before we get into the review, I’d like to share with you an opportunity to learn self defense. If you’re interested in self defense, would like to learn how to street fight, or are even curious about it, click HERE and see what WWE and Self Defense could have in common. It helps the blog.

The show opened up with talking. Carmella, Charlotte, and Becky were in ring, all in gear, and just talked. I hate this.

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

This was an interesting little match, and it ended up going a bit longer than I thought. This was a good match in theory, with Rose and Deville throwing down some good moves here and there, but alas, it was the team of Flair and Lynch that would get the win. That was the end of that. It’s sad to see no Asuka, and these two getting beat yet again. A tap out victory, and that was that. Oh, and Carmella on commentary was horrendous. She should’ve cost the duo the match somehow, instead, she just watched them.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated The Triple Threat

Meh

The New Day defeated Sanity

If you thought Sanity was going to get a fair shake on the main roster, you were wrong. That’s right, they once again end up having a serious problem, even though they put up a good fight. There was some great overall moves from the Sanity group, but it was New Day that was going to win this one and well, that was that. A good match, with some fun, and pancakes.

Throughout the night they showed stories of The Miz and Daniel Bryan, which weren’t bad.

Andrade Cien Almas defeated Aiden English

Well, Aiden English lost this one, and it was fairly one sided. Cien Almas won and that’s that. Meh. It was a match. Zelina Vega is hot though. I love her.

Jeff Hardy defeated Shelton Benjamin

Remember when Shelton Benjamin was a big deal coming back? Not any longer. He lost here in a short match against Hardy, and that was that. Nakamura tried to come in and fight, but he got a Swanton for his trouble, and that was that. This was a fast moving element, and well, it was fun to watch none the less.

AJ Styles Talks To The Crowd

This is how you end a wrestling show? With more talking? South Park parody yet again. Samoa Joe came out and read a letter from Wendy Styles, and I yawned, and blinked, and the show was over.

This was the end result of the show? Really? Come on!

WWE Smackdown Live August 7, 2018 Results and Review The B Show Shows It Is Still A B

Big E Punches Hard - Source WWE
Smackdown opened up with wrestling. I kid, no it didn’t, it opened with Randy Orton talking, for about 7 minutes. I didn’t care for this, and I don’t know anyone that wants more talking with their wrestling. That led to the Bar backstage talking about their match upcoming, and then showed off Becky Lynch and Charlotte backstage.

Charlotte and Becky Lynch defeated The Iconics

Well, that’s the end of the Iconics if you ask me. Lynch and Charlotte proved to be the superior team here, and if you watch closely, you can see that Becky Lynch is on another level compared to the other women, even Flair. She’s fast, and she is crisp, and throws down like she’s been wrestling forever, which is great. She’s got great timing, and looks amazing in ring, which made this match fun to watch. Charlotte would get the win with her Figure 8.

After the women’s match we got a promo from Aj Styles, and no more wrestling.

Zelina Vega defeated Lana

There was two major plot points during this lackluster women’s match. There was a story brewing between Rusev and Cien Almas as they were fighting on the outside. But then there was Aiden English, who ran in to help Rusev take out Cien Almas, but caused the defeat of Lana by Vega. This is going to split up English and Rusev, which is a stupid thing, but that’s how things progress. This wasn’t a great match, although Zelina Vega is gorgeous.

After this match, guess what? More talking! It was Byron Saxon interviewing The Miz. Sigh.

The highlight with the Miz interview was Daniel Bryan showing up on the set of Miz’s show, and beating him down, only to get hit in the head with a glass flower vase. Yeah, let’s hit the guy that has multiple concussions with a hard object, shattering it. Good job. This was a good segment, but blood would’ve made it better.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated R Truth

Truth made this match score big with me. He’s so good at his age, and he’s just stellar in ring. He put on a great deal of offense, for a short match, but Nakamura would eventually put the armbar in place, causing a great deal of slow down from the frenetic pace that Nakamura wanted. After the rope break, Nakamura started to drop some bombs.

The New Day defeated The Bar

Well, the Bar is done. A good match, don’t get me wrong. The two teams were able to put on a great match together, but that led to The New Day winning again. That’s good for them, as they will have another shot at the tag belts, when they face off against the Bludgeon Brothers. However, the New Day will end up losing out if you ask me. The Bar is done, now, aren’t they?

That was Smackdown. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. There was a lot more talking than I would like, but hey, that’s what happens a lot of the time.

WWE Smackdown Live July 10, 2018 Results and Review The B Show Featuring Hell No

Ellsworth Escapes - SRC WWE dot com
Smackdown Live was in my school's arena, and I wasn't able to go. But hey, there was a good night of wrestling planned, too bad it didn't turn out the way it was advertised, at least not at first. I'll get to all of that.

WWE Smackdown Live July 11, 2018 Results and Review

The show opened up with MIZTV, and of course it would, why not? The Miz brought out Team Hell No, and the crowd was in an uproar. I'm personally tired of this already, but I guess nostalgia is what it is sometimes. The new Hell No team shirt is stupid. Can't Kane just go be mayor now?

Daniel Bryan wanted to beat up Miz, but Kane stopped him, and then we saw some back and forth about Kane and what not. Then Miz got nearly choked out by Kane, before the Bludgeon Brothers came out and Sanity stormed the ring. They started to beat down Kane and Bryan, and the show began with a brawl featuring all the bad guys against Kane and Daniel Bryan. It was just a beat down until The New Day ran down to make the save.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Aj Styles were ready to battle, but after they made their introductions, out came Rusev and Aiden English.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Aj Styles ended in a no contest

This wasn't that bad of a match at all, and it really just had a lot of back and forth. It was a good option, but things got a bit difficult when Aiden English got involved. Aj Styles hit him hard, then Rusev jumped Aj, and that led Nakamura to team up with the bad guys to beat up AJ. But that's when Jeff hardy ran out and tried to mop things up. Hardy beat up Rusev and Nakamura, and then Paige came out and said that we are going to have a straight up tag match! Just like Teddy Long would create! I kid you not.

Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Jeff Hardy and Aj Styles

This was a short match, it was not that great. But it served to get the bad guys a win before the big PPV this weekend. It was a good little match, for what it was, and it had a few back and forth elements. I didn't mind the loss for the good guys, but I doubt that either one is going to win this weekend. Well, maybe Nakamura will get gold, but other than that, I don't know what's going to go on at the PPV. As for this match, it was fine, an ok television match, so there's that.

Asuka defeated James Ellsworth in a Lumberjack Match

Well, this was shorter than I thought, and it ended like I thought it would end. Asuka made Ellsworth tap out, and that was that. Nothing big here. Afterwards Carmella attacked Asuka.

Andrade Cien Almas defeated Sin Cara

This was a fast paced, short match. Sin Cara had a few moments, but it was mostly the showcase of Andrade Cien ALmas, and that's it. He won with his finisher and that was the end. Nothing fancy, a big win, and that's it.

Team Hell No and The New Day defeated Sanity and The Bludgeon Brothers

This wasn't a great match, but it worked out like nearly all 10 man tag team matches that I have seen. The good guys were all over the bad guys, and of course the Fan Favorites needed to look strong going into the PPV, so they won. Everyone hit their finishers, Team Hell No and The New Day were getting a lot of praise, and that was that. Nothing major here, just a lot of fast paced finishing moves, and the Yes Chants. A fun, fast paced match, no doubt, but honestly, it just left me with the feeling of, meh.

The B show is all that Smackdown is to me. Almas finally got a match, which was great. No sign of Tye Dillinger, though, and others that were drafted. The women's revolution is back to full circle, beating up a random stooge, and that's that. Oh well.

WWE The Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review - SRC wwe
The opening of the show was definitely interesting, with a kick off panel of all men, and then we got into the crowd filing in, and I was absolutely stunned. This is a huge stadium, and there’s a ton of people in the crowd, and it truly was epic to see Saudi Arabia’s support for the WWE. WE started with the national anthems of both Saudi Arabia and The United States before the event took place. No singers, just the sound, and that was it. We went live at noon, and well, I don’t usually do this, but this review is being written as I watch the show! That’s right, going back to the old school.

WWE The Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

The crowd was electric to start, and the WWE spent a lot of money on pyro. This felt far more like Wrestlemania than anything else. The crowd was going nuts, and I loved it, this was a great crowd, and truly something interesting to see.

John Cena defeated Triple H

I wasn’t sure who was going to go over on this one, but it was interesting to see the two work a different style. They started a little slower than usual, and the crowd was all over this one. After some methodically placed fighting, Triple H couldn’t get Cena down for the 3 count, and eventually lost to three Attitude Adjustments across several points in the match. This was a fun little match, with Cena winning and that’s it. The crowd was all Cena at times, and Triple H had fans too, it was fun. The crowd was all in with this, and I was too. Fun match, and it was definitely a good opener.

Cedric Alexander defeated Kalisto in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match

This was a great back and forth match with Kalisto throwing out everything he had. The two went back and forth with relative ease, and there was a lot of attention to the speed and frequency of the match. Alexander was able to retain, but not without a heavy duty fight with Kalisto hitting some of his greatest hits, including a variation of the Spanish Fly that I haven’t seen in WWE, with a spring board effect. That was quite good. The Lumbar Check was hit, and Kalisto would lose to the champ, and that was it. This had a good flow to it, but they weren’t as over as the previous guys, obviously. A good match none the less.

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy defeated The Bar in the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match

Wow, well, that was something else. The guys were working in half-speed if you ask me. The Bar was able to throw in a lot of attacks, but Wyatt and Hardy were quick to counter the fight left and right, and it was interesting to see them work together. Hardy and Wyatt worked very well here, while The Bar was missing their offense and getting things reversed at times. It’s interesting to see how many of the moves were reversed or missed, and of course that led to Wyatt and Hardy getting the big win, and that’s that. Not my favorite match, but not a terrible one either. It was a good television match at best.

Jeff Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal in the United States Championship Match

This was an interesting match with a lot of upside to it. Hardy was able to get the upper hand after Jinder Mahal was throwing lefts and rights, and even a distraction from one of the Singh brothers. While this was a decent match, it wasn’t great, and the fans were way into Hardy over Mahal. While I didn’t think it was stellar, there was enough here to make it worth checking out. Hardy is always fun to watch, and Jinder has finally been hindered. Hardy wins, Mahal goes down, it’s that simple.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated The Usos in the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match

Well, I didn’t expect the ending that we got here. The Usos didn’t go down without a big fight, though, although the match wasn’t that long. The Usos were just not powerful enough to get the win here, and the bigger men took everything that the Usos had and still couldn’t get the job done. The Bludgeon Brothers took them down with high power, and constant moves forward, which was a nice touch. The big guys win, the Usos go down, and that’s that. An ok match, but nothing too stellar, and now it’s time for a bathroom break if you ask me.

Seth Rollins defeated Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and The Miz

Well, well, this was a hard hitting match with a lot of bruises being left on the guys. Finn was busted wide open, Rollins had his ribs nearly smashed in, Joe had his head smacked hard on the ladders, the Miz took some major shots on the back and face, and it was a hard hitting affair. This was back and forth, with lots of great overall flurries, and in the end, it was Seth Rollins that got the big win with cat like reflexes, and that was fun. Rollins got a huge reaction too, and it was fun to see him win this one.

The WWE introduced 4 new athletes from Saudi Arabia, and they were getting cheered. But out came the Daivari Brothers to immense heat!

The recruits bonded together and beat up the Daivari brothers to a lot of cheers and great reaction. This was a cool little segment, and the Saudi Arabian new recruits got a lot of praise from the crowd, and it was fun to see.

Aj Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura ended in a double countout in the WWE Championship Match

I don’t know what is wrong with these two, but they lack the chemistry that they did in NJPW. This match wasn’t that great, and I was actually kind of bored through the match. I didn’t really have a lot of reason to like this, as the two seemed to be working at half speed at times, and the logic was thrown out the window at times. It was slow, and methodical, but without any real passion for me. I ended up nearly falling to sleep, but out of the blue a low blow, and some fighting outside caused a double count out and the match was over. I guess that’s a good thing. Overall, not a terrible match, but definitely far from great, and a double countout? Ok, I’ll take it.

The Undertaker defeated Rusev with Aiden English in a Casket Match

Well, well, The Undertaker got a huge ovation, but he was looking old, and tired. The Undertaker allowed for a little more of a match than Wrestlemania, but it was obvious that he isn’t the same guy, as the past. He was able to take on Rusev and drop Aiden English and Rusev into the casket and that was that. A slow moving match with the ending that featured the end of English and Rusev. This was not a fun match, it was slow, but it featured a good performance overall from Taker, given his limitations, and well, it made the crowd feel happy, and that’s ok with me. I hope he retires.

Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns in a steel cage match for the WWE Universal Championship

The match was overall the same as you’d expect with other matches that these guys have had. I didn’t expect the final moments, and that was shocking overall. Over the course of the match, there were a lot of F5’s a lot of Spears and Superman punches and it was insane, Roman took a serious beating. But here’s the thing, the match ended when Roman speared Lesnar through the cage and onto the floor! It was a stellar bump, no doubt, and Lesnar got hit hard, and it looked like it hurt overall, including Lesnar looking like he got the wind knocked out of him or at least knocked out, with Roman looking like he pulled his shoulder too, and that was that. Lesnar hit the ground first, which meant that Lesnar is still the champion. I don’t like the finish, I don’t like Lesnar, but wow, that was a brutal finish.

Braun Strowman Won The Greatest Battle Royal

What was one of the longest Royal Rumble Matches, we got to see a huge event pull through 50 guys, and some missing of course. There was fire works, there were 50 super stars and so much more. This was an interesting match for sure, and lots of stories could have been told, but the biggest ones were with Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, Elias, and others. Daniel Bryan was nearly at the end, he was in the final 3, and it was all over when Braun Strowman took out Big Cass, right after Cass eliminated Daniel Bryan. Bryan’s chest was blistered and just awful, which was interesting overall. Shane got through threw a table, and well, the whole night was fun, but of course Braun Strowman would win big here.

At the end of the day, I had a good time with this, but probably because I was working at the same time. It was a fun romp, but nothing that I would want to do annually. Some may think it was a glorified house show. I thought it was fun, and well worth the hype. I would give it a B rating, just because it was fun, and that’s it. There were some dry spots, no doubt, but overall, this is a lot of action and a lot of WWE overall. I didn’t hate it, I want to express that clearly. It wasn’t as good as Mania, but hey, it was a fun romp none the less.

WWE Smackdown Live April 24, 2018 Results and Review Heel Foreigner Reigns

Knee To Face Deux - SRC WWE
I didn’t realize that WWE Smackdown was live in Louisville! That’s near where I live, and had I known, I would have gone down there. Sadly, I was not there, I was at home watching this overall. Anyways, here we go, smackdown Live was going on, but guess what? There’s not many of my favorites, including your favorites, such as Tye Dillinger. Anyway, here we go, Smackdown Live where the foreign heels get big time shots at the gold.

WWE Smackdown Live April 24, 2018 Results and Review

Miz TV started the show, and I figured Daniel Bryan was going to come down, but instead it was Big Cass. He cut a promo and sized up Miz, then sized up Daniel Bryan, and we go forward with the show. Not a great opening, and what happens in the back is interesting, as Bryan is laid out and holding his shoulder. Already injured? Lame.

The Iiconics defeated Asuka and Becky Lynch

I know that it’s not “woke” to talk about the body’s of women performers, but The Iiconics have breast implants and it’s painfully obvious that they have been enhanced. I think they are beautiful regardless. Either way, you’ll find that the match was serviceable, and had a good back and forth feel. It was fast paced, had some nice pushes, and you’ll find that Asuka is not the unbeatable woman any longer, as she once again loses on television. The Iiconics work very well together, and outsmarted the duo of Lynch and Asuka, which I appreciated overall.

Jimmy Uso defeated Rowan

This was a short, fast match. The Uso’s were able to use Naomi to help distract, and a superkick to the side of the head claimed a serious blow to the Bludgeon Brothers and we ended up seeing Rowan drop a match to Jimmy Uso. Not a bad match, not a great one either.

Carmella and Charlotte Flair Signed a Contract for WWE Backlash

This was boring. I was bored with it.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Randy Orton

This was a fast paced, good overall match, and it was great to see Orton go beyond just “work mode” and do well with Shelton. Shelton is a pure athlete and can go very well with just about any worker if you ask me. In this match the two were able to put together a fast paced, good match, even though one of the Singh brothers interfered with a mask on! Classic! Jeff Hardy was watching on the sidelines. Good match for what it was worth.

Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, and Aiden English defeated Aj Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows

This was a good match with a lot of back and forth between the players. I didn’t dislike anything here, although it was a little short. Aiden English and Rusev felt like jobbers, and Nakamura was the star here. Anderson, Gallows, and Styles worked well together, but eventually succumb to the chaos of the ring and would get a loss due to Nakamura.

After the match, Nakamura got jumped, but recovered, and was going to take out Styles but Ken Anderson got in the way, and he got killed with two knees to the head. That was the end of the show, and we got the finish for Smackdown.

Overall, a good show, but there was a lot missing. There was so much missing that I wonder why this show isn’t 3 hours. I’m serious, there’s a lot of missing talent for this show, and the matches were cut short etc.

WWE Wrestlemania 34 Results and Review

Ronda Rousey at WM 34 - src wwe
Welcome to New Orleans and the latest edition of WWE Wrestlemania, this time there were 78,133 people in the building and the card was stacked from top to bottom. This seemed to go 9 or 10 hours, but it was only around 7 hours. If you saw it, then you may wonder what my thoughts are and if you didn’t see it, you may want to know what my thoughts are anyways because you read this diatribe of mine.

WWE Wrestlemania 34 Results and Review

Matt Hardy won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

This was a cluster of a match but it ended well enough. There were some highlights, including Mojo getting Zack Ryder out, and lots of eliminations, until it was Matt Hardy that won the match. He would win thanks to the lights going out and Bray Wyatt showing up to befriend him. The two are now WOKEN together!

Cedric Alexander defeated Mustafa Ali for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

I love these two, but I feel that I’ve seen this match happen many times before. It was good, but in 12 minutes, there’s not much that could be told about it, so I guess it was ok at best. I have seen these two do this match before, many times it seems.

Naomi won the Women’s Battle Royal

This was under 10 minutes and was somewhat boring. Naomi was great at the end after Bayley eliminated Sasha Banks, and would become the big winner here. It was not bad, but it was far from good either. Under 10 minutes, that’s the revolution folks.

Seth Rollins defeated The Miz and Finn Balor in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship

A good back and forth match with some impressive moments from The Miz. The Miz wasn’t a slouch here, he had some great momentum to disrupt the better wrestlers. I was impressed by his work here, and of course Balor and Rollins were great as usual. Lots of broken pinfall attempts, lots of counters and lots of fun to see in this match.

Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka

In only 13 minutes, Asuka’s streak was broken by Charlotte Flair. The two wrestled a good match, but it was painfully obvious that they were getting rushed. It was a hard hitting affair, with Asuka’s chest turning bright red and blistered after some heavy chops from Charlotte. Asuka worked on the arm of charlotte, but it wasn’t enough, she put on the Figure 8 and made it Asuka tap out. Hell of a match for only being 13 minutes.

Jinder Mahal defeated Rusev, Bobby Roode, and Randy Orton for the United States Championship

Wow, in just 8 minutes and some change Jinder Mahal was able to capture the United States Championship, and well, the modern day Maharaja continues to win, and it baffles many. This was a fast match, and it featured a lot of quick moments, with distractions and Jinder Mahal getting the pinfall victory.

Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

This was by far the most entertaining 20 some odd minutes of professional wrestling that I’ve seen a rookie put on ever. Ronda Rousey is amazing, and she put on a show, and it was great to see her work. I am so proud of her, and love her. She is truly an amazing woman, and was able to get the wrestling thing down well, and made Stephanie McMahon tap out with relative ease. I loved it. I cannot say enough about how great this match was.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated The Usos and The New Day in the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match

The teams only had about 5 minutes to work, so the match didn’t get too hot, and it was dead when the Bludgeon Brothers won. Oh well.

The Undertaker defeated John Cena

In 3 Minutes, John Cena was buried. But first out came Elias and got a beat down for his troubles. The Undertaker looks old, I don’t want to see him wrestle anymore.

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This was better than I thought and no one turned on each other. The match was 15 minutes long and it was a fun back and forth match with Daniel Bryan eventually getting the hot tag and making Zayn tap out. The match was fun, and I loved seeing Daniel Bryan back in action.

Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Championship

Holy crap, Nia Jax put the boots to Alexa Bliss. Bliss did a great deal of offense, however, but this time around it was Nia Jax’s night and she was able to get the pinfall after some great offense overall.

Aj Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the WWE Championship Match

A 20 minute boring and methodical match ensued here. This was not nearly as good as their New Japan fight, and it sufficed in many ways to be a slow moving, well plotted match for what it was. However, after the match Nakamura low blowed Styles and became a bad guy. Ok. The match was not great.

Braun Strowman and Nicholas defeated Cesaro and Sheamus for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

In 4 minutes, Braun Strowman did quick work of the BAR. He picked a kid from the audience to be his partner, and that was that.

Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns in the WWE Universal Championship match

What a load of crap. Lesnar was blown up, he looked tired and like he didn’t care. Roman carried Broke many times, and even got the brunt of Lesnar being too tired to work, and made him look great. However, at one point Lesnar busted open Reigns the hard way with his elbow, and then threw down another F5, 6 in total, and pinned Reigns to win the match. I’m so sick of Lesnar. He wins, oh well.

Overall, Wrestlemania was a fun show to watch, even if it was a little long. The Rousey match was my favorite and I loved her even more for getting out there and being great. Other than that, Flair and Asuka was good, and so was the Nia Jax match. Other than that, this was a mediocre showcase, and I’m glad I didn’t go to New Orleans. But I will be in Chicago twice this year for WWE and All In shows.

WWE Smackdown Live March 27, 2018 Results and Review The B Show of All B Shows

Nakamura Flies - SRC wwe dot com
If ever there was a way to prove that Smackdown was the B show, it definitely proved itself to be the case here with this show. I couldn’t care about this show and I get paid to watch! Whatever the case may be, you’ll find that this show wasn’t grand, and yet it had a lot going on for such a short show. Let’s get into the action here.

WWE Smackdown Live March 27, 2018 Results and Review

Jinder Mahal and Rusev defeated Randy Orton and Bobby Roode

Since Roode and Orton beat down the only healthy Singh brother he couldn’t compete. So what he did instead was got Rusev to be his partner on this very special Rusev day! The two worked very well together, and while Roode and Orton couldn’t get along, Rusev took advantage with a solid Machka Kick and boom, Mahal and Rusev would get the pinfall victory here. A short tag match, but it would be good for Rusev, because he will now be in a fatal fourway for the United States championship.

Becky Lynch defeated Ruby Riott

Becky Lynch was wearing a very unflattering ring leotard, and Ruby Riott proved yet again why she is so good in the ring. She is fast, she knows her stuff, and is well timed against Lynch. Lynch would get a quick roll up victory but Riott held her own throughout, and really did a great job with Lynch throwing down some great moves here and there. After the match the Riott squad would get beat up a little and that was that.

Daniel Bryan Will be At Wrestlemania

There’s not much to say about this one.

The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

This wasn’t great at all, as it ended in chaos. The Bludgeon Brothers and the Usos clashed outside, and the New Day clashed, and it was a big melee. Nothing to see here.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze

Dolph Ziggler buried Tyler Breeze in a short match, which was really just boring to me. I don’t know why they keep putting these terrible matches on. Breeze loses, Fandango gets caught up outside with a superkick, and that’s that.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Shelton Benjamin

AJ Styles was outside for this one and was protecting Nakamura in a lot of ways. He would help get Gable away from the ringside area, and let Nakamura get a fair shot against Benjamin. Shelton Benjamin is a great performer, and Nakamura is good in many ways, but this match wasn’t that great at all. It suffices to be an ok encounter with a predictable finish where Nakamura wins.

After the match Styles got into the ring and was getting beat down by Benjamin and Gable then Nakamura came in and cleared house but didn’t beat up Styles, though he could have, and that was that.

Smackdown overall was the B show in every way possible. It didn’t feel like Raw, and after the NJPW show I saw this past weekend, I don’t know if Smackdown is going to live up to the hype on its weekly showcase. It’s a bit short, and boring.

WWE Smackdown Live March 20, 2018 Results and Review Daniel Bryan Returns To Ring

Daniel Bryan Catches Beef - Src WWE dot com
You knew this was going to happen, I knew it was going to happen, and it certainly occurred, Daniel Bryan returned to the ring, and it wasn’t without a lot of fanfare.

WWE Smackdown Live March 20, 2018 Results and Review

The show started with Daniel Bryan giving a great in-ring speech and saying that he was cleared for competition. Everyone shed a tear, and was in with Bryan here. I loved it.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Rusev

The artist beat Rusev. Despite the many Rusev Day chants, Nakamura was able to garner a great deal of success here with his moves, and fast paced style. He would eventually get a big win here and Rusev would go down. After the match he got double teamed and fended off both Rusev and Aiden English, and was left standing. He then got on a mic and said that he didn’t need Aj Styles to save him.

Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger

The perfect 10 was buried, and it saddened me.

Natalya defeated Charlotte Flair

This wasn’t half bad, a good match with some great back and forth. As Natalya looked like she was going to win, Charlotte Flair was out and in came Natalya with her briefcase. However, she got knocked out before she could get the final go to cash in, and Natalya pins Flair thanks to the distraction. Not a bad women’s match nor ending, but I wonder when Carmella is going to get a shot at winning the belt with her briefcase, geez.

Harper defeated Jimmy Uso

This was a boring match for me, but it had Jimmy Uso fighting for his life against Harper. The two worked well together, but at the end of the day is was Harper that was able to get the big win here.

Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode were arguing when Randy Orton showed up and then got into a scuffle.

This scuffle had one of the Signh Brothers getting beat down, and that’s about it. Mahal ran out of the ring after pushing Singh into Orton and Roode. They both beat down the little guy, and then nearly fought one another.

Becky Lynch and Naomi defeated Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan

This was an ok match, but I’m growing tired of seeing tag team matches with the same people very week. Becky Lynch got the submission after a short match, and that was all that happened here. Not terrible, but definitely not that great.

Daniel Bryan Fired Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Daniel Bryan called out Owens and Zayn and eventually fired both of them. They got mad, and tried to beat him up, but he fought back. Bryan fought hard, and it was awesome to see him fight back, but the numbers games were starting to rise and that wasn’t fun. Eventually Bryan got beat down and that was the end.

Not a terrible night of wrestling, and obviously going to get a lot of praise for seeing Bryan back in the ring. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either, so I’m somewhere in between.

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

Asuka Royal Rumble 2018 Winner - Source WWE dot com
After what seemed like 9 hours of programming, the WWE Royal Rumble is in the books. I was tempted not to talk about it, but I had an opening for a few minutes, and so I decided to talk about it today. It’s something that you no doubt want to hear me talk about, or not, I don’t know. What do I know? Anyways, here is 2018 Royal Rumble results and review, featuring 9 matches, and a lot of action.

WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Results and Review

Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado defeated TJP, Jack Gallagher, and Drew Gulak

This opener was in front of 200 people in the building, and it was fun to watch. The guys really threw themselves into the Lucha Style, and it was back and forth throughout. I knew that the lucha guys were going to win, especially with how their reception was. I liked the match, and it ran around 13 minutes, which was definitely grand.

The Revival defeated The Club Sandwich Boys

The Club Sandwich guys are the worst team in the WWE. They get no love, and end up getting buried each week. This time around, in about 10 minutes, they end up getting done over, and that’s that. The Revival was buried at RAW 25, and now it was the Club Sandwich boys that are getting buried.

Bobby Roode defeated Mojo Rawley

Rawley ran down and threw out Roode immediately. He was in control during most of this match, but it was Roode that was able to turn things around and hit a sloppy DDT for the win. It was a sloppy 8 minute match, and it was terrible. This is a waste of Bobby Roode’s talent.

Aj Styles defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This was a sixteen minute slow burning, terrible match. Owens and Zayn would end up losing. Styles was able to get through the action and do his spots, but the two friends were just not getting any love. Owens is reportedly injured, so it was Zayn that took over most of this match.

The Usos defeated Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

This was a 14 minute match and it wasn’t that bad. The Usos were fast here, and they used every tactic to their advantage, and were able to win in two consecutive falls. This was a short match with a lot of fast moves, and it wasn’t half bad.

Shinsuke Nakamura won the Royal Rumble Match

In over an hour, this match was a good fit for the bigger Royal Rumble match. Nakamura was able to gain the upper hand towards the end. Nakamura was in there for a long time, but not as long as Finn Balor, and others. I loved the match, and it had a great winner, who then said he would take on Aj Styles at Mania.

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan

The tag team title match was boring. It was so boring, that they made up a story. Jordan has a legit injury, and he was thrown into a post and he started to cry at ringside. That left Sheamus and Cesaro to win. Rollins won big here, and it was amazing to see things work through for The Bar. They win the titles, and Jordan just sulks.

Brock Lesnar defeated Kane and Braun Strowman

Perhaps the worst title match in Royal Rumble history. So much that the crowd was chanting BS the whole time. It was stupid. Lesnar wins, and that’s that.

Asuka won the Women’s Royal Rumble

In almost an hour, Auska was able to outlast a lot of the women, and once again proved that no one is ready for Asuka! This was a great win, and I loved it. Lots of women showed up, including the Bella Twins, and many women from the attitude era.

After the match, out came Ronda Rousey and that was that. End of the Rumble.

This was a good overall night of wrestling, and I give this a great grade, because it was fun and had a lot of great momentum. I’d go back and watch, but I have a lot more to write about.

WWE Smackdown Live January 9, 2018 Results and Review

Kevin Owens Hits Randy Orton with a chair - Source WWE dot com
I know I’m late, so I’m going to go ahead and talk about this, and then talk about something bigger after. Here we go, the Smackdown show that was better than Raw.

WWE Smackdown January 9, 2018 Results and Review

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were having tension yet again. Boring.

Becky Lynch defeated Ruby Riott

Once again, the invading team gets beaten, so why are they so tough? When the NWO invaded WCW, they didn’t just show up and start mounting losses. They were dominant. That’s how you build a feud, not by losing every week. Riott did ok here, but Lynch was able to get the win with her submission, and that’s the end.

The Bludgeon Brothers defeated The Ascension

The Ascension got buried.

Mojo Rawley defeated Zack Ryder

Another burial folks, Rawley had most of the offense here. Not a great match.

Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable demanded Justice, and got a 2 out of 3 falls match for Ruble instead

Ok. Sure.

Breezango defeated Rusev and Aiden English

This was a fast moving match, and English got pinned. This was not half bad. I didn’t like it, but hey it happens.

Aj Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This match kept getting restarted. Once for count out, and once for disqualification, and each time Shane McMahon came out and stopped things, then restarted them. It’s hilariously bad, and well they lose.

At the end of the day, all of this is awful. Smackdown should have better matches, but they kept having random talking segments, and boredom. Oh well.

WWE Smackdown October 31, 2017 Results and Review The Revolution Is Over

Killer Shot of Owens vs Nakamura - SRC wwe dot com
Well, if we are in the women’s revolution, you wouldn’t know it because Smackdown had NO women’s matches on it. But hey, that’s what the WWE wants you to see, no women on the product except for a petty backstage argument that you’re supposed to believe. GTFO!

WWE Smackdown October 31, 2017 Results and Review

So here we go, the Halloween edition of the B show and it was definitely a B show from top to bottom.

Shane McMahon came out to talk about the big pay per view and he was saying that he is going to be the captain of his team! This has to lead to a Shane McMahon versus Kurt Angle wrestlemania match, right?

Bobby Roode defeated Dolph Ziggler in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match

This wasn’t good at all. The editing was awful, and they had a fall in the commercial break! What the hell guys? The match was not great, and Ziggler was in “mechanical” mode. He claims he’s the best but he is boring, and Roode is terrible as a face. Although he’s got some good moves. Ziggler loses here, and that’s all that matters. The Glorious DDT is awesome, and I’m glad more DDT options are getting pinfall victories honestly.

Baron Corbin defeated Sin Cara via Disqualification

Boring. Just absolutely boring.

Aj Styles defeated Samir Singh

Styles buries the second Singh brother. Wow.

Rusev defeated Big E

This was funny as Big E was dressed up as Akeem The African Dream. Also, the New Day were in full costume, and while this match wasn’t great, it had some funny moments with the costumes. Rusev would get the win after Aiden English distracted Big E and got the big win. Not a terrible match, but far from a classic.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Kevin Owens

This was an ok television match, but it was far from great. These two could do a lot better, but they did put on a decent showing. Kevin would lose even though Sami Zayn was trying to help him get the victory. Randy Orton showed up and dumped Zayn onto the announcer’s table and then Owens got pinned by Nakamura. That’s the end of the show!

So there was NO women’s match, so forget the women’s revolution, it’s over, because they don’t matter apparently. Not a great show, and not a terrible one either. I id like the opening match a little, and despite the fact that Jinder Mahal sucks, I like that there’s a brown guy on my tv being at the top. Since I of course am brown.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Results and Review The Big Leap From Shane

Shane Is Better Than Most of The Roster - Src wwe dot com
WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Results came through Detroit, Michigan and there was not a lot of fanfare from me at first, but as the night wore on, I really got into the event and was hoping for great things. There were some dry spots, but overall, there were some good moments to discuss, so let’s go forward with the review of last night’s epic pay per view.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Results and Review

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin defeated The Hype Bros

Well this is the end of the Hype Bros. Gable and Benjamin work like well oiled machines. The Hype Bros were just not in sync and it showed, and they ended up giving up some mistakes and losing this match. Gable and Benjamin are quite good, and it’ll be interesting to see how far they go, before they break up of course.

The Usos defeated The New Day in a Hell in the Cell Tag Title Match

Well, you’re not going to get a better match in the WWE than these guys beating the holy hell out of each other. This was brutal, on all levels. The four guys threw together a great match, and they kept beating the crap out of each other until The Usos took out hand cuffs and beat down Big E and Xavier. They landed stereo USO splashes with a chair on top of a New Day member and boom, they are the new champions. This was a great match, no complaints at all.

Randy Orton defeated Rusev

The burial of Rusev continues. Nothing to see here, kind of a boring match.

Baron Corbin defeated Aj Styles and Tye Dillinger

This was a 5 star match in my view. Dillinger put on a show and really made this match great. Styles was being thrown around a lot, but he threw down some great offense in his defeat, but it was Corbin that was able to get the win after knocking out Styles from the ring, and scooping up Tye Dillinger for his first major title.

Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya VIA DQ

This was bad. Flair ended up getting injured at one point, and it was bad. It was just awful, I can’t attest to this match being anything but boring, and a way to write off Flair from the show.

The Fashion Files

The fashion files are boring, sorry. This was lame.

Jinder Mahal defeated Nakamura

Well, the WWE Champion, the modern day MAJARAJA once again beat Nakamura in this title match. He did it clean too, as the Singh brothers were thrown out of the ringside area, and Jinder threw down his finisher for Nakamura to get buried. So much for sticks and stones eh?

Bobby Roode defeated Dolph Ziggler

A roll up. That’s it, a freakin roll up finish. Ugh.

Kevin Owens defeated Shane McMahon In A Hell In The Cell Match

This was nearly 40 minutes long and it was insane. This was a war. McMahon threw everything but the kitchen sink at Owens, and McMahon even jumped off the cage. The big story here was that Sami Zayn helped save Owens from his doom, as he pulled Owens from getting hit by McMahon. That was that, the end. This was one hell of a match, no pun intended.

WWE Smackdown Live October 3, 2017 Results and Review This Is The B Show

How Can Kevin Owens Still Be Fat? - SRC wwe dot com
Live from Denver, Colorado the B show has finally begun to be that lack luster. I kid you not. This thing was a heaping pile of dog…never mind. This is probably one of the worst shows that WWE has thrown together in a while, and there’s a lot of reasons why, but let’s talk about what went down.

WWE Smackdown Live October 3, 2017 Results and Review

Jinder mahal beat up Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura is horrendous on the mic. He doesn’t speak English well, and it’s forcing him to push out an element he doesn’t need. Give him a mouth piece, or have him stay quiet like Muta. If you don’t know who Muta is, then you’re too young for this site, I think. Jinder Mahal showed up and beat up Nakamura, but Nakamura fought the Singh Brothers etc, but the numbers game was too much. I liked this, and I hope Jinder Mahal keeps the title. I like his shirt.

Natalya and Carmella defeated Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch

The divas revolution? Eh? This was a short match that only served to further the heels getting wins. Flair and Lynch are wasted talents in this match, and are nothing but punching bags for the champion and the money in the bank briefcase holder. It’s cool that James Ellsworth still has a job though, what a way to make a living.

Bobby Roode defeated Mike Kanellis

Well, well, Roode buries the new guy. Not bad. Not good, but rather, Terrible. Dolph Ziggler came out to bother Roode, but meh, this was dumb.

The Usos Cut A Promo

I like The Usos but they are going to lose this weekend. The New Day has numbers, and that’s it.

Tye Dillinger defeated Baron Corbin

This was a boring match and a waste of Tye Dillinger’s talent. He wins with a distraction roll up and that’s it. He walks away, and that’s the end. Corbin has an Aj Styles promo cut on him, and all I can think of is the sound byte where he says, “Gay People?”.

Cancer Survivors Partnership

I won’t talk bad about this.

Randy Orton defeated Aiden English

Another burial folks, there’s nothing to this, just burying people for the sake of it. Oh well. RKO and the win.

Kevin Owens Beat Up Shane McMahon

Kevin Owens beat up Shane McMahon in the lobby of the arena, throwing him threw a table. Then when Shane came back down to the ring, Kevin Owens beat him up some more. That’s it. End of show.

This was an abysmal show of burials, and lackluster matches. This felt like it was 3 hours long, but honestly, it wasn’t. It’s a lackluster show and definitely the B squad of the WWE right now. This was bad. Just all around bad.

WWE Smackdown Live September 5, 2017 Results and Review The Longest 2 Hours Ever

Dolph Ziggler Was Lame On Smackdown - SRC WWE DOT COM
I had a lot of work to do before I could watch this show. I did manage to get my work done, and I sat through what seemed like the longest 2 hours of wrestling. I wanted to bang my head against the wall, and the highlight for me was simple, my other half asked me, “Shane McMahon looks roided out, and he’s getting botox too”, and that’s that. Hilarious.

WWE Smackdown Live September 5, 2017 Results and Review

Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens Fought Each Other.

The opening was supposed to be the women’s match, but instead, Owens came out and started to talk on the mic about Shane McMahon. Well, before that, he said he would be the special guest referee. But that didn’t happen. McMahon and Owens jabbed on the mic, and then the two started brawling. McMahon vs. Owens will occur, and I’m not happy about it. What a waste of talent.

Natalya defeated Carmella

A roll up. That’s what happened after James Ellsworth distracted things by dropping the Money In The Bank Briefcase. That led Carmella to get on the mic and yell at him, and said they were finish. He was left crying. Natalya is good, but in this match, she wasn’t that great. A roll up? Really? Sigh.

Aiden English defeated Sami Zayn

Oh man, another roll up! What a waste of both talents. I loved the Vaudevillains, and when I saw them at NXT Takeover, I thought for sure they would get a big push in the main event, but alas, nope.

Shane McMahon was suspended indefinitely.

This was dumb. McMahon is suspended, oh well. Vince McMahon will be on Smackdown next week, in Las Vegas!

Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger

This was a lousy match. Tye Dillinger didn’t come out with his full entrance. Not only that, Corbin was loose and sloppy with his moves. Aj Styles was on commentary, and I think that Corbin is supposed to be next fighting him for the title, but of course, he is not going to get that match until Dilllinger gets a shot next week. This was a boring match, and the Corbin train is done for me.

Carmella Kissed James Ellsworth

Ellsworth must’ve loved this. I would have killed to be in that position, and that’s rad. Oh and he got slapped. But he also got one hell of a kiss, which is what I wish I could get from Carmella. Just saying.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Randy Orton

Throughout the night we had vignettes from the two, and they were awkward and terrible. This match wasn’t half bad, but it also wasn’t great. Jinder was watching on, and he cut a promo backstage. Nakamura is great, but only when he’s with good talent, and Orton was up to par. Orton was phoning it in as usual, and after some back and forth, it was Nakamura that got the big win.

The end, right? Yeah, this was a lousy show. Oh! Oh!

Dolph ZIggler Came Out

He was supposed to be doing a new gimmick. Instead he cut a heel promo and then walked away. It’s time for him to get fired. This was a waste.

In this 2 hour show, we had 2 roll ups, a lousy finish with Dillinger, and Nakamura beating Orton to go on to face Jinder Mahal again. Sigh. Just Sigh, this was a terrible night of wrestling, if you can call it that. At least Raw had some good wrestling. Tonight, it wasn’t grand, it just wasn’t grand at all.

WWE Smackdown Live August 1, 2017 Results and Review The Dream Match Killer

This Was Your Finish, But It Was Boring - src wwe.com
This week’s edition of Smackdown was live from Cleveland, Ohio. Just a stone’s throw away from where I live, and I didn’t want to go. Why would I? The quality of Smackdown’s shows has been dropping like crazy, so I didn’t want to jump into this one live, but I needed to write up a review, and so here I am, talking about Smackdown again. This is a night that should’ve been great, but instead, it felt a little flat, and we’re going to discuss it and what not below.

WWE Smackdown Live August 1, 2017 Results and Review

Aj Styles defeated Kevin Owens

This match was probably the worst thing I’ve seen these guys in. They keep putting on matches that are absolutely cringe worthy. They just seem to be working at half speed or something. They don’t seem to be into it, and the ending was goofy as ever. Owens went to swing at Aj Styles and supposedly hit the ref, and the ref didn’t see when Owens’ shoulder was up, getting counted pinned in 3, which would lead to him throwing a tantrum. He yelled at Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, leading to them announcing that Aj Styles would face Kevin Owens yet again, only this time, it’s going to be with guest referee Shane McMahon! Oh joy, oh boy, another match with these guys? They don’t have a lot of chemistry, folks.

Aiden English defeated Sami Zayn

Burials happen a lot, and we saw the burial of Sami Zayn once again occur on Smackdown. The WWE must not like Zayn, because he once again loses, and this time it’s to Aiden English, the singing dude. I don’t like English’s gimmick. I preferred the raucous noise that he was getting as part of the Vaudevillains, which worked. Oh well. This match was fast, and Zayn lost via roll up. Where’s Tye Dillinger, by the way? He was the perfect 10, after all.

Naomi and Becky Lynch defeated Carmella and Natalya

What a waste here. Sure, it was a little entertaining, but it was not great. The women got a few minutes to showcase their work, but it was really rushed, and in the end, the good guys win, and the bad guys lose. I mean girls.

Rusev defeated Chad Gable

Gable put on a good fight against Rusev, but Rusev is a wasted talent. He’s already lost to John Cena multiple times, and he’s scheduled to either get beaten down by Randy Orton or get a quick win, and then move onto I don’t know, nothing? Rusev sucks now, and while Gable had some nice highlights, he’s done now too.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated John Cena

This was a surprise. Shinsuke won this match clean. But John Cena was obviously going half speed and there was miscommunication in the ring. Nakamura got a lot of his spots in, but Cena wasn’t selling that well, and it became painfully obvious that Nakamura was going over. When Cena is not going to win, he doesn’t sell as well, trying to make the other guy look dominant, and it doesn’t bode well for the match. This could’ve been great, but unfortunately, it’s going to be remembered for the fact that Nakamura dropped Cena on his neck, and that’s it.

Post match, exclusively, on WWE.com Baron Corbin showed up and beat up Nakamura. He then got thrown through a table by John Cena.

Smackdown is not good, this was boring at times. It’s just a rushed, boring show that doesn’t utilize all of the talent that they have. Oh, but they did have the Usos mocking The New Day, so that was cool. Day One Ish and all that jazz.

WWE Battleground 2017 Results and Review I Am Way Late Peeps

Holy Crap! - SRC WWE.com

SRC WWE.com - Singh Brothers Worked Their Ass Off Folks
I have to apologize for being so late this week in reviewing the PPV from the weekend. I had a few days off from watching wrestling after the show because it really made me question why I even watch any longer. It’s really that bad. This event was possibly one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen, but you already know that. I am not supposed to be drinking these days, as I’m on depression medication, but I had to get a New Castle to get through this one. Let’s discuss this showcase of well, entertainment, if you can call it that.

Aiden English defeated Tye Dillinger

I love Tye Dilllinger, but you’ll find he’s getting buried all the time. Remember the pop he got at the Royal Rumble? Well that’s gone. Aiden English won this match, and it was a hard hitting one. I was making a pizza when this started, but it wasn’t half bad. I liked it. English finally gets a win, but I miss the pop that Gotch and English got with Blue Pants in Nxt.

The New Day defeated The Usos

Perhaps the best match of the night, with a lot of fighting, kickouts, and great reversals. However, the New Day’s schtick is tired to me. This was a fun match, no doubt, and it’s the best match of the night.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Baron Corbin

Another boring match. These guys didn’t have chemistry together. It was really bad. Corbin loses with a low blow, done and done.

Natalya won a 5 way dance

This was a fast moving, elimination match. It was tired, and I didn’t understand the pacing or the results. It’s a terrible showing for the women, with the exception of Natalya and Becky Lynch.

Kevin Owens defeated Aj Styles

This was a boring match. I was shocked at how bored I was, and the failed finish was terrible.

Breezango gets beat down.

Um, ok.

John Cena defeated Rusev (Flag Match)

This was fun, but John Cena winning was so obvious. Rusev worked his ass off here, and I loved his intensity and look. But you knew that Cena was going to win.

Sami Zayn defeated Mike Kanellis

This was boring. I couldn’t believe it.

Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison Match

The Singh brothers were amazing here. I loved them, and hope one day to meet them. They took on some serious bumps. Much props to Orton too, he looked legitimately injured at one point. I also loved how he was giving it to Jinder at some points. Great Khali came out and wow, I popped huge, and then he helped Jinder, winning the match. Terrible match, but nice surprise at the end. Props to the Singh brothers, wow.

Overall, Battleground was bad. Really bad. But there were a few bright spots that make this not as terrible as some of the things I’ve sat through in my life as a wrestling fan.

WWE Smackdown Live May 9, 2017 Results and Review Garbage In and Garbage Out

Jinder Mahal Wins Big Again, Steroids Work Folks, Take Em!
There are a lot of pundits that will tell you that Smackdown Live is a much better show than Raw. They are wrong. The recent booking of Raw has been horrendous, but the Smackdown crew hasn’t exactly done much to win me over. There’s so many holes in the booking and the things that they feature, that you will no doubt agree that this is a B level show yet again, if not a C level show.

WWE Smackdown Live May 9, 2017 Results

Natalya defeated Becky Lynch
Rick Rowan defeated Luke Harper
Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura played legos.
Breezango defeated The Ascension
Jinder My Balls, Kevin Steen, and Baron Corbin’s Receding Hairline defeated Randy “Bored As Hell” Orton, Aj “Gay Fanbase” Styles, and Sami “Woody Allen” Zayn

The opening of the show had a bored ass Randy Orton cut a promo. Now, let me remind you that this is the same Randy that was never going to be the same after the House of Whores match. Instead, he said he conquered the Bray and would have won the match if it wasn’t for Jinder My Balls. He’s not wrong, but wow, the Eater of Pins really gets buried here. This would lead to Jinder coming down, Kevin Owens coming down, and Sami Zayn running down for a beat down on Baron Corbin’s receding hairline. I hate opening segments that talk for 20 minutes, I don’t want to see this, but yet that’s how every show opens, it’s so boring. I’d rather get Teddy Long come out and give us a “straight up” tag team match…oh, what the hell?

Natalya defeated Becky Lynch

I know that Natalya has a legacy of great training, and she can really put on a show sometimes, but she hasn’t in a long time. She was going half-speed here, and it was showing. Lynch is great, at full speed, but she was compensating for Natalya’s in ring work. It was sloppy to say the least, and of course, a distraction roll up is what we got here. I’m not a fan of the feud with the women. Oh and of course, this began with 20 minutes of talking and entrances.

Erick Rowan defeated Luke Harper

YES. This Happened.

Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura played legos.

This is stupid.

Breezango had another Law and Order segment, which was kind of funny.

Breezango defeated The Ascension

The commentary team kept saying that The Ascension were some of the heaviest hitters on the roster. You mean the same guys that JBL buried with a clothesline from hell? Yeah, those guys.

The Usos came out to cut a promo in which they barked about 12 days, and I didn’t care.

Jinder My Balls, Kevin Steen, and Baron Corbin’s Receding Hairline defeated Randy “Bored As Hell” Orton, Aj “Gay Fanbase” Styles, and Sami “Woody Allen” Zayn

Teddy Long could have set this match up to an incredible pop. Instead, we get this boring match that put Brian Zane of Wrestling With Wregret to sleep. I was bored right away. I knew the outcome from just watching how the entrances were and how the match progressed. Jinder My Balls won with his finisher, but not before everyone else hit their finishers.

Smackdown felt like it was 4 hours a long. It was a boring show with a lot of boring moments. Mojo was backstage showing kids his trophy, there was Mauro commentary elements, there was a lot of stupid stuff on this show, and it just didn’t mesh well. Where was American Alpha? An afterthought? Why was Charlotte playing Heel and Face? Why is this show so benign?
