WWE 205 Live August 21, 2018 Results and Review A ReHash Again

Lucha House Party Flies - Source WWE
We start with straight forward wrestling.

Noam Dar defeated TJP

This was a good opener, with a good amount of back and forth. Noam Dar was able to get the big win after isolating TJP’s legs, and offense that was countered here and there, only to get the big win after some time. It was a good match, with Noam Dar showing off a leaner build, and a faster counter attack. TJP loses again, and well, he’s not doing so hot since he lost that title.

Akira Tozawa defeated Colin Delaney

Hey, Colin is back! Only to get jobbed out again, sad. The match didn’t get started, Gulak and his goons stopped it.

The Lucha House Party defeated Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese

One hell of a match, with a lot of high flying elements, and a great deal of back and forth, but what ended up happening was a win from the Lucha Guys again. I just wished that we got new people wrestling, I feel like I’ve seen these guys wrestle a million times. Anyways, good fun, no complaints, another good showcase from 205 Live, only 49 minutes out of the hour, so I guess that’s a complaint. Good stuff, watch this. Main event.

WWE 205 Live July 10, 2018 Results and Review

Itami vs Alexander (2018) - Src WWE
The show started with talking, and honestly I don't know, I didn't have the sound on, so I'm just going to review the show's wrestling because I can't stand the commentary and talking on these shows. If you like that, cool, I'm not a big fan.

Kalisto vs. Tony Nese Ended in A Double Count Out

I'm assuming it was a double count out, because I didn't see anything turn out in the middle of the ring.

Lio Rush defeated Colin Delaney

This match was what you'd expect it to be. Rush wins.

Cedric Alexander defeated Hideo Itami

This was a hard hitting back and forth match, and it was a great example of what 205 Live can showcase, it's just sad that not a lot of people watch it. Itami put up a good battle, but in the end, Alexander was the one that would get the upper hand, and hit The Lumbar Check. Good match, great show, if you like pure wrestling, and lots of commercials for the network shows and the PPV, sigh.

WWE 205 Live December 19, 2017 Results and Review Itami Sucks

Hideo Itami vs. Colin Delaney - SRC WWE DOT COM
Here we go, the hour of television that is supposed to be filled with the most action, and yet it’s boring at times, and other times it’s not even worth turning on. Well what about this night? Was this weeks’ 205 Live worth it? Let’s find out.

WWE 205 Live December 19, 2017 Results and Review

The first thing that you should know is that there were only 3 matches on this show, and little to no story line progression. There was a little, but if you missed it, you didn’t miss a whole lot.

Gran Metalik and Kalisto defeated The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher via disqualification

They have turned Jack Gallagher into a nobody, and The Brian Kendrick into another moron. This match wasn’t half bad because Metalik and Kalisto are great at what they do, but the other guys kept grounding them, and trying to focus on mat wrestling. I guess that’s what the cruisewerights are known for, right? They are known for their ground, mat wrestling? These aren’t all Dean Malenko, folks. The end of the match came with a DQ and the bad guys tried to break Metalik’s leg with the metal stair case and that’s really it. Not a great match, but hey, it was something while it lasted.

Hideo Itami defeated Colin Delaney

Alright, Colin Delaney gets another paycheck. I’ll applaud that any day. However, this match was horrendous. Hideo Itami kept asking for the crowd to respect him, and I just wanted to boo him more. He did the Go To Sleep and then went to social media and asked for respect of his move, and not Punk. Whatever, the guy is bland and he sucks, beating up a jobber on 205 live is not a way to introduce this guy, I’m sorry. Yes, I know who Kenta is, and yes, he’s got more charisma as Kenta than he does as this new guy for WWE. (they are the same person)

Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak

Well, this was a hard hitting match, but Gulak wasn’t to win. He got distracted by getting on the top rope and then was thrown off. That’s it. The end of the match, and nothing major to see here. If you missed this, it wasn’t anything that good. Gulak is good in ring, but he is being throw into a tired feud with Alexander, and I already miss Rich Swann.

Overall, 205 Live was not a great show. It was ok at best, and while the WWE is trying here, they are going to end up eliminating this show, I can feel it. I don’t think anyone cares that much, and honestly, the same few guys every week makes this as bad as Ras and Smackdown. The Cruiserweight Classic was great because it had a lot of different characters and wrestlers, this doesn’t. This has the same old BS that other WWE programming has, and it’s starting to wear thin.

ECW 8/12/2008 Review Pre-Summerslam Extreme

Colin Delaney vs. Tommy Dreamer

Delaney and Dreamer again in an extreme rules match up. Delaney can bump, he is bumping like crazy, but he’s not doing so hot. He gets beat down like crazy, and Dreamer looks like a champ, instead of a chump. Dreamer is still employed? I’m not sure why Delaney is not winning any matches, and he loses this one in no major surprise to me. Dreamer does the usual plunder spots, and eventually wins with a ddt.

Miz and Morrison Interview Segment:

These two are great together, but they need some sort of team uniformity. They can go far with this gimmick, but something tells me that they will put into singles wrestling sooner than later. They are great on the mic, that’s for sure. This was just a recap from last week and the two mouthing off about not having to be champions to get over, which is splendid if you ask me.

Evan Bourne defeated Bam

I’m not sure why they are doing this, but I’m tired of seeing this crap. Did anyone really think this match would go any other way that it went? Evan Bourne is a great wrestler, he’s doing a lot of great things in the WWE right now, and they are letting him really do his move set, which is well timed and great to see on ECW. Evan Bourne would have been amazing in the WCW days, where they even had a cruiserweight tag team division! Bam puts on a good fight, but he just wrestles the average big man match up with heavy clotheslines and random power moves, nothing too crazy. Evan Bourne wins a surprisingly easy match, and that’s about it.

Armando Estrada Segment:

Armando finally gets a contract with ECW and Teddy Long, and then gets put into a match against Finlay. Nothing major about this, except some random blonde chick is in the back.

Finlay defeated Armando Estrada

Finlay puts the boots to Estrada and for 75% of this match up Finlay was beating Estrada to a pulp. Then Mike Knox came out to the ring, distracted Finlay and Estrada started to take control of this match up. This match was boring. There were a lot of rest holds, and just overall slow movements, and it was really hard to get into. Like I’ve said many times before, if this is what Extreme is, I don’t want to watch it. It’s really stupid, and the match is overall slower than I could have ever anticipated. Estrada looks good, I do admit that, and he has some moves, when he’s not putting Finlay in head locks and sleeper holds. Knox looked menacing, but no one cares about that idiot. Finlay wins this match up and then requests for Knox to come to the ring. Nothing happens, the match is over, and we get another Finlay win. This match turned around towards the end, but it was really hard to watch, as it was slow and had no build up or importance other than to screw over Estrada and his new contract.

Ricky Ortiz Segment:

Ricky Ortiz is back stage talking to Long, and is placed into a match with a new superstar to Ecw next week. Who knows who it is?

Matt Hardy & Mark Henry vs. Miz & Morrison

This match couldn’t possibly be good, right? I admit, Matt Hardy is way over with this crowd and really is the biggest face on ECW right now. Everyone else doesn’t get a whole lot of cheers or attention. Henry and Hardy teaming up is just another stupid move by the WWE. It’s almost like they are repeating the storylines from Raw to ECW with different characters. Why is it that on ECW, we get tag matches for the main events? Is that Extreme at all? I don’t recall ECW back at Viking Hall having this stupid matches.

The match wasn’t too crazy, standard tag team match up. Hardy looked great, but the former tag team champs were looking like a well oiled machine, proving my point that a real tag team shouldn’t just get squashed into oblivion by whomever is chasing the title at the time. Mark Henry didn’t do a whole lot in this match, and it was nice for him huh? He worked like ten minutes and makes his paycheck. Matt Hardy took this match to the limits at times with Morrison, and these two are probably going to feud again in the near future. Hardy pins Morrison and wins! This seemed like a botched ending, because Morrison kicked out and Mark Henry was upset that he didn’t get the tag, this looked really bad. Morrison was really surprised, and the referee didn’t break character. This match was just the Hardy show, Henry didn’t really do anything, and the announcers really sold that surprise ending. I wonder if it was a work or a shoot? Who really knows?

Henry and Hardy celebrate the victory, and then gets knocked out for his troubles. Henry drops Hardy and laughs, and we get the fade out and it’s over. Matt Hardy will face Mark Henry this weekend at Summerslam for the ECW championship. It will be an interesting match up, indeed.

ECW Quick Results 8/11/2008

Tommy Dreamer def. Colin Delaney
Evan Bourne def. Bam Neely
Finlay def. Armando Estrada
ECW Champion Mark Henry & Matt Hardy def. John Morrison & The Miz

The first match of the night was cool. I like ECW going back to the extreme thing. I didn't like the ending, nor the repetitive nature of this show as a whole. Best match so far was the opener.

ECW Episode 101 5/13/2008

ECW returned to Sci-Fi for their 101 episode last night and it wasn’t all that great. It had a few moments, but it seems like they keep pushing the tag champions as singles wrestlers, and will most likely hot shot the tag titles at the ppv…if anything.

mizbattlespunk

Miz has showed some improvement, which is a little odd, considering I liked to rail on him for not being a “real” wrestler. Punk carried the match, but Miz held his own.

thedivasonecw

The divas on ECW bore me. The divas in general bore me…they need to just give up on the women’s division.

Mike Knox defeated Colin Delaney in a match to soften up Colin for round two of Armando Estrada’s vendetta. Colin got two losses, and proves that he’s only good to bump, and not to gain momentum in the ECW show.

morrisonkaneecw

John Morrison fought Kane, and then Miz joined in for a beatdown.

Once again, they are pushing the two as singles wrestlers only to hot shot the titles for Punk and Kane…Ecw is a shadow of its former self.
