WWE Smackdown 3/6/09 More Hardy Crap

Smackdown opened up with The Undertaker. He accepts Shawn Michaels challenge for Wrestlemania. Do you recall the last few times Taker wrestled HBK? The most memorable for me is Hell in the Cell where HBK beat the Undertaker! But a month before that at In Your House Ground Zero, Undertaker and Michaels squared off in one hell of a match to a dq finish. I think Undertaker was getting the best of that exchange, truth be told. Undertaker leaves the ring, and we are treated to a ton of commercials.

MVP defeated Matt Hardy in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

In this Money in the Bank qualifier, we saw an interesting combination. These two have wrestled a bunch of times in the past, and I wasn’t sure which would win. I thought both wrestlers had good shots at getting into the match up, so the WWE threw me a wild card. Matt Hardy has this match in full control. MVP was not doing so well, even though he’s wrestled Hardy many times in the past. Hardy hasn’t changed his style very much, even though he has a vendetta of a heel turn going on right now. Matt Hardy had this thing sewn up easily but he hesitated and MVP rolled him up fast for a quick count pinfall win and MVP is going to Wrestlemania!

Maryse defeated Eve Torres

This was a standard divas squash match up. Nothing too crazy here; Eve got a few hits in before Maryse squashed her. The wwe divas are the worst thing in professional wrestling right now.

Even though John Cena crashed the contract signing for Big Show & Edge, I hate contract signings. They are pointless and always get ruined. Edge took a great bump when Cena through a folding table at him full force! That was rad, other than that, it was lame; Cena is trying to get in on the title match at Wrestlemania, I smell another Triple Threat match.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Jeff Hardy via dq in a Money in the Bank Qualifier

Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin were making a great overall attempt to get a good match in. The match was going great, Jeff Hardy was going over huge in this match, meanwhile Shelton Benjamin was throwing up everything he could possible muster to stay in this match up. Then Matt Hardy an down and struck Benjamin, causing Jeff Hardy to get disqualified! So Shelton Benjamin is going to wrestlemania!

Triple H vs. Umaga No Contest

The main event this week on Smackdown was none other than Umaga against Triple H. HHH started this match fast and furious, but Umaga fought back and had the champion reeling. I remember when facing Umaga meant something and when Umaga was such a monster that ppv’s were built around him challenging someone for the belt. Now he’s nothing more than another character for Triple H to hold down on the WWE Roster. That’s what I got from this match, even though Umaga hit Triple H several times with major shots. I did also notice that Umaga has lost a considerable amount of weight, and has gained some quickness in the process. I had no doubt that Triple H would pull this one out, but Umaga wasn’t going down without getting some major shots in. Umaga wasn’t the aggressor all the time. Umaga was thrown out of the ring and it appeared that he had legitimately injured his knee while hitting the floor hard.

At this point Legacy came out from the crowd! Triple H fought them off for a second but was getting worked by the younger talent. The fight spilled out to the outside and the numbers game was just way too much for The Game. The fight got knocked into the announce table, and things were not looking good. This melee of an ending was good, but come on, seriously? Is this TNA? The match was thrown out and it looked like Umaga was messed up, so this was good. I’m assuming the match is a no contest.

Where’s Kendrick. Where’s the rest of the roster? The WWE has a TON of talent that is not featured at all. Bring some of them back!

  2. Sir Jorge, Smackdown is not a bad show but you know what they are missing? You got it my man, they are missing me. Thats right they are nothing without The Perfect Body and the WWE don't have enough dinaro to have The Perfect Body. Why is that, some may ask. Because The Perfect Body is the supreme being and the best wrestler ever. Bet on it and collect interest.

    The Pleasure is all yours,

    The Perfect Body
