ECW is usually the best show that WWE puts out, they make it concise, to the point and have a lot of wrestling in a short amount of time.
Shelton Benjamin & Mark Henry defeated Christian & MVP
Why even have the U.S Championship still in possession of Benjamin? No one cares about that title, at all. Seriously, no one seems to care about that, and only now does anyone care about the intercontinental champion, due to JBL winning it from Punk. Christian was the most impressive in this math, as he really made MVP step a little during the match up too! He even hit Tony Atlas really hard off the apron, but it was Shelton Benjamin with the Pay Dirt getting the pinfall on Christian! Looks like Christian’s comeback is officially over, huh?
Evan Bourne defeated Jamie Noble
If I were booker, I’d have Noble defeat Evan Bourne, spinning him into a losing streak, then defeating Tyson Kidd later down the road. However, I’m not booker. Evan Bourne isn’t missing a step, and the best part about this match is actually Jamie Noble’s pitbull like attack on grounding the high flyer. Evan Bourne won with a perfect shooting star press, and it might be arguable that it was better than when Billy Kidman used to do it in WCW.
Finlay defeated Paul Burchill
Finlay and Burchill put on a good heavy handed match up. Finlay was hitting hard in this match and was in full control for the most part. Finlay hit his finisher and Burchill was out cold! Finlay wins again, creating another good overall match for ECW. The Celtic Cross was hit and it was all over.
The show ended with the dirt sheet, which was kind of dumb. It must be nice to be a hot girl, because you can get a job in wwe and stand there looking dumb. The dirt sheet was funny, that’ for sure. But I was too tired to care. The best thing about the ending of this show was the announcement that there will be a unified tag team championship. That of course at Wrestlemania.
