DDP vs. Goldberg Halloween Havoc 98

In 1998, my favorite Goldberg match happened. It happened at Halloween Havoc 1998, and it was the main event. The way the match flowed, the near falls, the Diamond Cutter, I thought for sure it was the end of the streak. I had no idea if Goldberg's streak was to end that month, or not, because the match was so convincing.

DDP vs. Goldberg is by far one of the best Bill Goldberg matches ever. He didn't just plow through DDP in a few seconds, he actually worked and DDP's style meshed so well that this match is one of my favorites of all time.

  1. See we are alike in so many ways. However, this is where we differ. I never cared for Goldberg. I liked the streak and thought it was a great idea, but I just couldn't connect with him. They also shouldn't have had him plow through opposition. As for DDP, I liked his mic skills and his ability, but again, never cared for him too much as a main eventer. Despite his stupid arm-wrestling gimmicks I like him better as a mid-carder, and when he feuded with Raven.

I'll have to see this match, as I don't remember it, and I miss WCW so dearly.

I've spent a lot of time on youtube watching wrestling as of late, especially ROH and OVW matches.

Oh, by the way, I DESPISE this angle with Edge and Vickie, and I don't even watch Smackdown much.

  2. This match was great.

I wasn't a big goldberg fan either, but this match was definitely his finest match.

DDP vs. Raven was stellar, too bad things were never the same.
