WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Results

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger
Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show via countout
Drew McIntyre defeated MVP
Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool
Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Review

The show started with the most boring man in professional wrestling, Kane. He cut a promo on Edge, and what not...I didn't care, you shouldn't care, the crowd wasn't really into it either. Edge came out and what not, and I didn't care...something about Kane getting on his knees...it was stupid. Kane vs Edge sucks, the beginning of this show was just terrible.

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger

Swagger and Kofi went into a back and forth battle for the King of the Ring qualification. This match was quite good, it had a lot of action, I thought there were some serious spots, and after Swagger hit his shoulder on the ring post, this thing was over. I didn't really care for the finish, but it was actually kind of good. Kofi moves onto the King of the Ring tournament.

Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show via countout

Del Rio couldn't get the big man down, and couldn't win the matchup by force, so he had his ring announcer get involved and that forced Big Show to lose via countout. That's right, a countout win for Del Rio and he moves on to. Not a great match, but it will have to do.

Drew McIntyre defeated MVP

This match was ok, MVP had a hurt arm or something and Drew wins. Drew sucks, but somehow, someway, this match was semi-interesting. I don't think Drew McIntyre will win this match, but we'll see. MVP continues to be hit or miss, and well, he's a far cry from his "MVP" gimmick that was good a few years back.

Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool

This was a fluke roll up win, and nothing too special to mention. The match was ok enough, but Laycool got beat up by Beth Phoenix after the match. Phoenix had a knee brace, and she still managed to hit her finisher on Michelled McCool.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

This match was ok enough, it wasn't exactly a thrilling match up. It had a few good moments, and Mysterio works really well with a much lighter Cody Rhodes, then he would with larger men. Mysterio hit his spots nicely, and showed no sign of injury at all. Del Rio helped Cody Rhodes at one point, and Mysterio dove into Del Rio on the outside. That woke up an otherwise tired crowd, and the match went on to be a wortwhile main event for Smackdown. A ref bump caused this match to really kick into high gear, in which Del Rio took advantage and helped Dashing Cody Rhodes defeat the higher flyer with Cross Rhodes.

Judging purely by wrestling and the matches they had on this show, it was a great one. I actually liked a lot of the wrestling, and the finish of the main event was really done well. Dashing Cody Rhodes, Del Rio, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre will be in the King of the Ring tournament, creating quite an appealing 3 hour show. I'm excited to see how it will all turn out, and of course, The Miz's first night on Raw as the WWE champion should be good too. Wrestling is actually good for a change, too bad TNA can't take note, and too bad KANE sucks. I liked the show...now back to sleep I go.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Edge ran over a fake Paul Bearer with a car. That's how the show ended...worst feud ever.

WWE Superstars 10/21/10 Results and Review

WWE Superstars 10/21/10 Results

Santino & Kozlov defeated The Usos
William Regal defeated Darren Young
Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated MVP & Chris Masters

WWE Superstars 10/21/10 Review

Without a major tuesday night show, I feel like I go a long time between wrestling programming. But then Friday morning rolls around and it's time to talk wrestling again to a blog only 2 people read, but that's ok, I like to do it for the fun...Lord knows it's not for the money...geez.

Santino & Kozlov defeated The Usos

Santino has gone from a complete comedy angle, to a comedy angle that can actually move and wrestle in ring. I like how they are making him more of a threat, but feel that it will be short lived. On the other hand, The Usos got mopped up fast with The Scorpion! I don't like these non-meaningful tag matches, at the expense of a "real" tag team. The USOS went from tag team title contenders to jobbers, and that can't be good for the tag team industry as a whole.

William Regal defeated Darren Young

Darren Young is impressive, but not so impressive that he beats William REgal. That's not to say that Darren Young was jobbed out, he put on one hell of a fight against the veteran. I'm assuming the WWE is still teaching Young, because he keeps showing up on Superstars and putting on valiant efforts, only to lose. That's ok with me, I don't mind Darren Young.

The Nexus gave everyone a recap of Monday Night, nothing too cool.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated MVP & Chris Masters

This match wasn't half bad, it featured some good back and forth action. MVP and Cody Rhodes made this match quite good, and in the end? Rhodes hit his finisher and MVP landed awkwardly, but the champs win, as is expected. Chris Masters at least got some good overall offense too, but you can tell that this was just a "throw away" match for the most part.

Chris Masters got a black eye and it looked bad, to show that this match was in fact more than just a jobber squash, which is always a good signt. WWE Superstars is definitely a cool show to watch, it's mostly wrestling, longer matches, and little to no talking. I enjoyed it, even though it had really nothing to do with the other WWE plot points or stories, but then again, that's why we all watch wrestling...not soap operas...nevermind.

WWE Smackdown 10/8/10 Results and Review

WWE Smackdown 10/8/10 Results

Edge defeated Jack Swagger
Layla defeated Kelly Kelly
Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Kofi Kingston & Kaval
Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio
Dolph Ziggler defeated MVP

WWE Smackdown 10/8/10 Review

Smackdown has the worst intro music...but I was looking forward to seeing Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio so I can't complain too much about the lackluster sell out move of Greenday.

Edge defeated Jack Swagger

I always pop for Edge's music, but the guy hasn't been relevant for a long time. Jack Swagger's Eagle is funny. Edge had some cool moments here, and I didn't hate it, but I felt like I already saw this. The Eagle took a Spear, Swagger went for the Ankle Lock but Edge eventually hit his Spear and won. This match wasn't all that great, but hey...at least Edge is being used.

Layla defeated Kelly Kelly

This match was terrible. Did you expect anything else? The divas are lookers, but they aren't great wrestlers. There were a few quality moments in this match, but overall? This match was just filler, and I didn't find it all that great.

The Big Show was talking about setting up Team Smackdown for Bragging Rights, and that prompted The Dudebusters to come out and ask to be on team Smackdown.

Big Show double chokeslammed The Dudebusters and that was that. Team Smackdown is going to bore me, and so is Bragging Rights, I can feel it.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Kofi Kingston & Kaval

Once again, Kaval loses. This match wasn't all that great, and it's another reason why I hate hot shot tag team pairings. The match was ok enough, but I didn't really care about any one of the participants, which is not the way you want to present things, but I guess that's just what happens. The hot shot team wins...and that's that.

Kane delivered a message to Undertaker...and I HATE the feud. I hope they both retire.

Dolph Ziggler defeated MVP

This match wasn't that great, and while I appreciate the efforts of one Dolph Ziggler, I can't stand MVP right now. Ziggler wins this match thanks to the actions of an NXT participant, much to the dismay of Vickie. MVP did have some nice suplexes, throws, and offense. I think MVP is highly talented, just not utilized properly.

My 2 cents? I think MVP should be paired with Shad & JTG and they should do a "Konnan" like thing. Just a thought.

Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio

This match wasn't exactly a four star classic. It was your standard Rey Match. Del Rio had a bunch of great moments, but overall it was Mysterio that got the most offense in, and won the match despite attempts by Del Rio to cheat. Mysterio hit his moves and won this match.

I don't understand the logic in having Del Rio losing here, but then again, I don't understand a lot of the logic in the WWE or TNA for that matter. Mysterio comes back, wins, sends the crowd home happy and that was that. This feud should be done, since Mysterio won.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/24/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/24/10 Results

Kane defeated Chris Masters
Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty
Chavo Guerrero defeated Kaval
The Big Show defeated Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer
CM Punk defeated Luke Gallows
MVP defeated Dolph Ziggler via countout

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/24/10 Review

This was supposedly the last Smackdown on My Network.

Kane defeated Chris Masters

Chris Masters was completely buried in this match. Remember when Chris Masters was in the main event of ppv's? Yeah, neither do I. Kane wins...I hate kane, you don't care, and most of the WWE universe doesn't care.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty

Once again, the Hart Dynasty looks like idiots. They lose to a hot shot tag team and that was that. I wasn't impressed, you didn't care, and no one really cared. The bad guys win an easy match, the crowd wasn't even into it. The tag division is so sad these days.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Kaval

The crowd didn't care, but I might have cared a little bit. Chavo beat down Kaval and won. Kaval buried again. Chavo hasn't been relevant in a long time, and I do believe he's only kept on as a legacy.

Alberto Del Rio cut a promo and beat up Christian. Christian is having surgery, he's out. Del Rio continues to thrive.

Backstage, Undertaker looked like a beaten old man. I'm tired of him, he should retire soon.

The Big Show defeated Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer

Big Show wins again. No surprise here. The tag division is a big joke in wwe.

CM Punk defeated Luke Gallows

Luke Gallows and the straightedge society are done. At least that's what I think. Luke Gallows barely put up a fight against PUnk. Punk's stable could've been massive, instead, it's over. I'm sick of bad wrestling.

MVP defeated Dolph Ziggler via countout

Ziggler moves onto a new feud after facing Kofi 20 billion times. MVP was semi-over with the crowd and he was able to get in a lot of offense, but the champion was quite smart, as he eventually just left the ring with his title and let himself get counted out for the cheap win.

Kane came out to cut a promo, it was stupid. Undertaker had a casket rolled out to the ring and inside the casket...Paul Bearer...yep. That's it. Paul Bearer...yep. He'sback and he's scary...I don't care, you shouldn't care either.

I'm so sick...literally, I can't care about bad wrestling today. I'll be back later with more crap. I'm going to go lay down.

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/20/10 Results

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Kozlov & Santino
John Morrison defeated Chris Jericho
Edge defeated Daniel Bryan (non title match)
Daniel Bryan defeated Edge (via DQ) REversed by General Manager
Layla defeated Melina
R Truth & Eve defeated Ted Dibiase & Maryse
John Cena defeated Heath Slater
John Cena defeated Michael Tarver
John Cena defeated David Otunga
John Cena defeated Justin Gabriel via dq

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/20/10 Review

One night after NIght of Champions we get the latest and some say greatest edition of Raw. My shift key is working again, my wife is back from her 10 day trip to Alaska, and I'm still without a job, without any money, and somehow managing to stay alive and off the streets...barely.

This economy has me eating lunch meat and ramen daily...but the WWE is making bazillions of dollars off of me...or are they?

Randy Orton opened upt he show to screaming ovations, and I don't care. I like Orton chasing, not winning in fluke matches.

RANDY ORTON SUCKS ON THE MIC.

SHeamus came out....ugh...I'm already tired.

The general manager chimed in, and I remember why I hate raw...the damn anonymous general manager...I'm sick of them.

They booked the Hell in a Cell, at least the WWE Championship side, as Orton will face Sheamus in a Hell in a Cell. Boring ass Hell in the Cell is what I"m saying.

Orton got the better of the exchange, and like i said, I don't care. Having him chasing is far better than what it is now...a cocky heel-face champion.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Kozlov & Santino

Michael Cole sucks. I HATE HIS COMMENTARY AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY HE SHOULD BE MAKING FUN OF THE FORMER TAG CHAMPIONS!

This match sucked, and MICHAEL COLE MADE ME HATE IT MORE! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR COLE TO ACT THE WAY HE IS. MICHAEL COLE SUCKS!

John Morrison defeated Chris Jericho

Is it just me or is John Morrison on the rise and Jericho getting buried. Starship Pain landed yet again and Jericho looked legit injured. He took the brunt of the move on his steel-plated arm. Jericho's loss record is getting epic, is he ever going to get back? Meanwhile, Morrison is spot on accurate these days, and I hope he's getting a major push. I'm hoping he's getting better on the mic too.

Post match, Jericho was crying again. I don't know if I like whining Jericho, especially since the crowd is so behind him witht he Y2J chants.

The Miz came out and said he had a torn MCL and that's why he lost the U.S Championship. I love the miz on the mic.

The Miz was on commentary and boy can he talk in character.

MICHAEL SUCKS! COLE SUCKS! I HATE COLE!

Edge defeated Daniel Bryan (non title match)

This match wasn't a 4 star classic, but it was the only match up to the mid-point of Raw that had my full attention. I was loving the way the match was going, and I like how Alex Riley and Miz helped Edge win this one. Bryan is still great, and I hope he gets continually pushed. Riley interfering made it possible for Edge to win.

An email came through and gave Bryan the win via dq. Edge continues to get buried, and he got on the mic and basically yelled at nothing and no one...he's getting frustrated. Jericho is frustrated. I hope there is a huge payoff.

Post match, Miz and Riley beat down Daniel Bryan. I like where this feud is going. It's elevating Alex Riley and making Miz that much more of a heel, getting major heat. Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan is getting elevated into a major champion by having to get beat by 2 men. I love this angle, and hope the WWE learns from this, because they can make some serious television for a change. I'm hoping Miz and Bryan have a major match in the future, on ppv, epic...the feud is getting epic.

Layla defeated Melina

I hated this match. The divas title sucks. I'm so sick of bad women's wrestling. Layla wins. I hate Melina, so maybe Layla winning is cool.

R Truth & Eve defeated Ted Dibiase & Maryse

Eve's neck breaker was the highlight of this match for me. COuld we be seeing the early signs of a real wrestler? That'd be impressive. This match was filler and it was just an excuse to get Dibiase on the show. I didn't really think it was too good, but it was entertaining, at least the end. Truth's dive outside was nice too, but Dibiase looked to have been knocked silly again. I'm not sure where this feud is going, but I guess it was ok.

John Cena defeated Heath Slater
John Cena defeated Michael Tarver
John Cena defeated David Otunga
John Cena defeated Justin Gabriel via dq

SUPER MAN JOHN CENA went through each member of Nexus, and it was stupid. Standard Cena crap here, burying Nexus for no apparent reason. Once again, this proves my point that SUPER JOHN CENA and NEXUS is going nowhere fast. CENA is beyond super human here. I DO NOT like this....Cena vs all of Nexus and he was able to take them all on? I loved the DUNGEON OF DOOM vs HOGAN & SAVAGE, I bought that, but in 2010 I can not buy into SUPER JOHN CENA vs EVERYONE! I'm sick of this crap. CENA is left standing...I hate John Cena.

Wade Barrett was suppose to fight Cena, but it just didn't happen.

Wade Barrett put Cena into a match where if Cena loses he will join Nexus, at Hell in a Cell. If John Cena wins Nexus is done. I don't know where it's going, but putting CENA in a hell stable? I like it. We'll see what happens, I'm not that excited, I'm sick of SUPER CENA...so I'm banking on him losing...however, with a weakened Nexus already, it's going to be quite interesting to see what the WWE has up their sleeve for this one.

Overall not a great Raw. I liked parts of it, as many of you most likely did, but I felt it was lacking in a variety of ways. I'm not that invested into the product as I was earlier on in my ventures through watching pro-wrestling, but the WWE knows how to get me, if they ever decide to pull the trigger.

WWE Night of Champions 2010 Results

WWE Night of Champions 2010 Results

There won't be a review of the show, because for once, I saw it live, woo. I wasn't in the arena, but saw it on ppv. here are the results:

Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston
The Big Show defeated CM Punk
Daniel Bryan defeated The Miz for the us title
Michelle McCool defeated Melina for the unifited divas title
Kane defeated The Undertaker
Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre won tag team turmoil to win the tag titles
Randy Orton defeated Sheamus in the finals of a six pack challenge and is the new champion

that's all folks...wooo!!

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/17/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/17/10 Results

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty
Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger
Laycool defeated Rosa & Random Diva
CM Punk defeated Christian

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/17/10 Review

Christian had a Peep Show with Alberto Del Rio and you know what happened, shenanigans ensued. Whatever...Christian is cool, hopefully they fight in a feud and that's that. Christian will eat the pole, and lose, right? yep.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty

Another hot shot tag team. The new guys win this non title match in a good overall match up. I liked it, the two work well as a team, but it's odd to see the tag division treated in such a stupid manner. whataver...it was entertaining.

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger was looking amazing in this match up, and didn't look rattled at all. He had this thing in the bag, it was ridiculous, to see how much punishment Kofi took in this match. He was not winning easily here. Even though Kofi was getting completely dominated for the majority of this match up, he was able to hit Trouble in Paradise to get the win. Swagger just can't win.

Laycool defeated Rosa & Random Diva

This was stupid. Laycool wins, and whatever...I didn't care. You didn't care.

CM Punk defeated Christian

This match wasn't a 4 star classic but it was interesting none the less. Christian loses yet again, and punk is missing his ses.

Del Rio distracted Christian...and that's that.

Post match, Del Rio attacked Christian and Big Show came out, but fought PUnk...and that was that.

The show ended with Kane and Taker brawling, that's it. Lame.

Smackdown was barely watchable...I can't take much more abuse, that's for sure.

WWE Monday Night Raw 8/30/10 Results

Alex Riley & The Miz defeated Kaval & Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston & Michael McGullicutty in a triple threat tag team match
Melina & Eve defeated Laycool
John Morrison & R Truth vs Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes (no contest)
The Undertaker vs Bret Hart vs Wade Barrett (no contest)
Jack Swagger defeated Evan Bourne
NEXUS defeated Chris Jericho, John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Edge in an Elimination Match

WWE Monday Night Raw 8/30/10 Review

I'm tired. I'm really tired. But the 900th episode of Raw awaited me, so after a cup of coffee and a cup of tea, I'm ready to watch and review this piece of trash!

I'm tired.

900 EPISODES! WOOO!

Bret Hart started the show in ring talking...Kane came out and started talking and what not...who cares? This was more like the south park parody.

Kane attacked Bret, but out came Tyson Kid and the lights went out! Undertaker showed up to stop him, while Bret got out of the way. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT EITHER KANE OR THE UNDERTAKER! I DO NOT CARE WHATSOEVER! THIS FEUD IS SO TIRED AND STUPID! GET THEM OFF MY TV PLEASE!

THe GM made a match, with Bret Hart facing the Undertaker later tonight. I can't possibly see this go down....we'll see.

Alex Riley & The Miz defeated Kaval & Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston & Michael McGullicutty in a triple threat tag team match

I'm not sure why this match was booked, as it really didn't showcase all the guys that well. If nothing else it was interesting to see Daniel Bryan mixing it up in there, as he realy does have a lot of wrestling talent. The match was ok, but I can't stand Michael Cole's new heel role. THis match didn't really go far, and the crowd wasn't all for it, as I wasn't. THe match had a few good spots towards the end, mainly with Kaval looking to get the win, but it was The MIz that got the win after Kaval hit his finisher. The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale, and Kavel was out. Cole was marking out like a school girl....I'm sick of hearing COle...someone fire him PLEASE!

Post match, Daniel Bryan was hit with the briefcase and knocked out by Miz. This feud brewing could be the best thing WWE does in a long time.

Melina & Eve defeated Laycool

I think it was eve...I don't remember all the divas. Melina won this one, and it was fine by me. Melina sucks...I hate the divas, and you should too. There are NO good women's prowrestlers on mainstream wrestling right now.

Laycool challenged Melina...I was tired.

John Morrison & R Truth vs Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes (no contest)

This match didn't happen. There was a brawl and that was that. NO Contest? Whatever.

The Undertaker vs Bret Hart vs Wade Barrett (no contest)

Bret Hart came out to wrestle Undertaker, and before the match could start out came Wade Barrett. He said that he wanted to be in the match...so he jumped into this one and made it a triple threat. Oh boy....

Barrett got beat up, then was sent to the outside, and out of the blue came Kane when the lights went out and came on...Undertaker and Kane brawled....I guess the match is over?

I'm sick of these no finishes.

After Kane ran away from another light switch problem, Nexus surrounded the ring and were ready to Attack the Undertaker. Taker held his own but the Numbers seemed to be getting the best of him as the lights went out and guess what?!? Barrett Had Undertaker in his finisher and that was that.

Kane was on the stage looking on....terrible terrible booking.

Jack Swagger defeated Evan Bourne

Evan Bourne was buried here. NO, do not argue with me, he got buried by Jack Swagger. Who cares.

Alberto Del Rio got on the mic and cut a promo on Rey? But why? He then got into the ring and beat up Evan Bourne. Yep. That was that. Mark Henry came out and saved him...oh man, this was bad too.

CM Punk came out and cut a promo on how people have ruined Raw with reckless behavior and what not...they showed clips.

Stone Cold's music hit...but he didn't show.

I'm tired. THis is just filler...CM Punk is ok, but when not wrestling or in a feud with anyone but the Big Show, I don't care.

Big Show came out and cut a counter promo. He then beat up Luke Gallows and that was that.

NEXUS defeated Chris Jericho, John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Edge in an Elimination Match

Remember when someone high up in the WWE said that the Survivor Series concept was over? Yeah, well, it apparently seemed to work for Summerslam and now on Raw.

Jericho quit the match, he just walked away and got counted out. Edge got himself disqualified by pushing the ref. John Cena came in and did his super cena thing....YAWN.

SUPER Orton singlehandedly survived until he had to face Wade Barrett.

Wade Barrett won though...and Nexus won. Yep.

I do not get this booking. Cena defeated Nexus at Summerslam after taking a DDT to the FLOOR! Here he loses to Gabriel's finisher? Orton, on the other hand, RKO's everyone but can't get out of Barrett's finisher?

Is Orton not as good as Super Cena?

Is Super Cena not as good as he was at Summerslam?

This was 5 vs 5 and the odds were somehow better for Cena?

I'm lost. I hated this Raw.

Sorry, this 900th episode sucked. Face it.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 8/13/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 8/13/10 Results

Kane defeated Kofi Kingston
Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Christian
The Big Show defeated Three Jobbers
Drew McIntyre defeated Fat Ass Matt Hardy
Jack Swagger defeated MVP
Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 8/13/10 Review

The last Smackdown before what looks to be one o the worst Summerslams in recent history, had to be good right? I don't know, I'm so tired of wrestling, yet I can't help myself from watching it.

No ROH review this week, because I couldn't find a source to watch it. That's about it.

Dolph Ziggler was out with Vickie Guerrero and she was the mic piece for Ziggler. It was boring, and Teddy Long said that Ziggler would face kofi at the ppv for the Intercontinental Title.

Then we got a promo for Rey Mysterio and Kane, spliced with the Undertaker.

Then we got a glorified squash match.

Kane defeated Kofi Kingston

Kane beat down Kofi left and right in this match. The big red machine was ALL over Kofi, and Kingston just got beat at all levels. Kane eventually hit the Tombstone and that was that. Goodbye Kofi.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Christian

Christian worked Cody at every angle here, and was getting the majority of the offense...and you'll never guess how this match ended...yep! Cody threw Christian into the ring post and then hit Cross Rhodes and won the match. Christian is the Denzel Washington of Wrestling.

What?

Well Denzel always plays cops/detectives...and Christian? He always gets thrown into the post and loses.

Ok, a terrible comparison.

The Big Show defeated Three Jobbers

The Big Show beat three jobbers. This was stupid.

Drew McIntyre defeated Fat Ass Matt Hardy

I've seen this match before, and it was better. This match was slow, and featured some minor botches. I didn't care about this match, you didn't care either, and it was over before I could even really understand why Fat Ass Matt Hardy keeps showing up on Smackdown. Drew still sucks. Matt is terrible. Ok, so there were some nice hits, but after Drew stomped Hardy's leg in the ring steps this match really hit a new low. Hardy lost to Drew McIntyre, hopefully they fire him.

Jack Swagger defeated MVP

MVP hasn't been good in a long time, and somehow, by some miracle he was able to beat Jack Swagger. Swagger looked strong throughout the match, MVP wasn't on his top game, and after some standard offense from Swagger, MVP rolled him up out of nowhere and that was that. Another throwaway match.

Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler

I've seen these guys put on a 5 star match last year, so I was expecting way more out of this one. This match was NOT as good as their Intercontinental battle from last year (the first one). I think it was at Night of Champions. Rey Mysterio won this match after getting beat up throughout the match. Rey would eventually win in standard fashion with a roll up. I don't understand why they would bury Ziggler's title with a win from Mysterio.

Post match, Kane jumped out of a casket and tried to beat up Mysterio, and that was that.

Mysterio hit Kane and he fell into a casket.

Whatever....who cares.

Terrible night of wrestling, terrible week of wrestling, maybe Summerslam will be good....maybe.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/23/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/23/10 Results

Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre defeated Christian & Matt Hardy
Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston
Big Show defeated Joey Mercury
Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/23/10 Review

Another week, another set of reviews about to be finished, this is what I thought of Smackdown and what happened.

Kane started the show as the new champion, and I couldn't care less. I don't care about the Undertaker being dead, or Kane as champion, I just don't care. The Big Slow machine sucks, there I said it.

Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre defeated Christian & Matt Hardy

This match was slow moving, and while it was given time, I didn't care. These guys suck. The only person that is remotely interesting is Dashing Cody Rhodes. The match was your standard tag team fare, with both teams getting good overall offense, and the match ending with Hardy hitting Christian on accident and losing the match for his team.

Post match both Hardy and Christian shook hands and that was that.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston

Two up and coming WWE main eventers, here, well...that's a stretch. This match was your standard back and forth match up, and it felt like I've already seen this match countless time before. Kofi's style worked well with Zigglers bumps and offense. I liked the match with Ziggler going over after taking a lot of punishment from Kingston in the late stages of this match. Is it just me or are there a lot of “clotheslines” in Kingston's offense? Vickie Guerrero helped distract Kofi and Ziggler hit the Zig-Zag and won this one. I didn't hate the match, and Ziggler continues to move up the WWE ladder.

Big Show defeated Joey Mercury

Joey Mercury wrestled the Big Show and actually got some offense in on the giant. However, the Big Show won this one with relative ease. The mask was taken off the masked man in the Straightedge Society and this match was easily over. Show wins again, and the Straightedge Society looks to be dying before our eyes.

Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger

This was just part 2 of their ppv match, and once again Jack Swagger couldn't beat Rey Mysterio. Sure, there were some hard shots by Swagger on Mysterio, but overall, this match was just another match for these two. Swagger couldn't win here, and I knew he wouldn't, and Mysterio will go on to Summerslam. So far, this night of smackdown was boring me. This was a 2 out of 3 falls match and was just boring to me. I don't care that much about smackdown these days.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/16/10 Review

The last WWE show before their big ppv this weekend should be good, right? Right? Anybody? I was going to review this last night, but instead I was out to dinner with Mrs. Sir Jorge, so I missed it live. But I was able to watch it and here we go, my thoughts on Smackdown.

The first thing I noticed was the recap of Swagger beating up Big Show, looking strong, only to be made to look like a crying little wimp by Kane. Kane is behind it, huh?

Dashing Cody Rhodes vs. Kofi Kingston (no contest)

I'm quite interested in the new “Dashing” Cody Rhodes character, and it was nice to see him improve in ring against Kofi Kingston. Kofi had his spots, but Dashing Cody Rhodes seemed to have a lot of counters to the high spots of Kofi, until he fell backwards off the top rope and was hit with a nice crossbody!

Kane's pyro hit and out came Kane to stop the match, and once again, I hate WWE for not ending a match, I guess this match gets thrown out since Kane hit both Cody Rhodes and Kofi with chokeslams. I'm sick of Kane.

Drew McIntyre defeated Christian

This match was back and forth with some good overall action. Christian was definitely playing a sympathetic role to Drew's cheating ways. Drew got a nice upper hand to win the match after poking Christian in the eye and then hitting his Future Shock DDT. Not a terrible match, but nothing I'd remember in a few weeks. Drew McIntyre is still as exciting as a mayonaise sandwich on white bread.

CM Punk was trying to cut a promo but was interrupted by Big Show talking about the Ladder match. This promo was stupid, and having Big Show trying to climb a ladder wasted a lot of time for no apparent reason. The Straightedge Society was watching on, as the Big Show couldn't climb a ladder. Since the Big Show couldn't find a ladder that was his size, he got a super industrial ladder to support his weight!

The Straightedge Society attacked and climbed the Big Show's ladder and this got good. I liked the way this waste of time played out, and the ladder was awesome with Big Show eventually getting CM Punk to the top of the Ladder and then PULLING CM PUNK'S MASK COMPLETELY OFF!!!!!!!!!

Best line of the night, “CM PUNK LOOKS LIKE BIG SHOW JR!” it was awesome, if you missed it, you missed it.

Kelly Kelly & Chris Masters defeated Layla & one of the dudebusters

This match was stupid, the whole thing was just a waste of time. After Layla was focusing on Kelly for the most part, this match turned around when Rosa came out jumping rope. This match got Kelly Kelly to win and that was that. I hate this piece of crap division....Layla is hot, just sayin.

Fat Ass Matt Hardy cut a promo, it was boring.

More vignettes shown for the new guy...and I liked it. Hopefully the dude can wrestle.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy, despite being fat, still can go in the ring, at least for a few moments. I credit Dolph Ziggler with a lot here though. Ziggler is quite good, and he can really compliment any major wrestler, as he was fast, poignant, and just impressive against a fatter opponent. I liked the way this match was playing out, especially the counters from Hardy on Ziggler. Despite hitting most of his offense, Matt Hardy couldn't put this one away and therefore lost with Ziggler getting a very good victory.

I for one love Ziggler's character and think he's ready for the big time. Ziggler vs Mysterio #1 was the best match of 2009 I my view, and he continues to improve. Vickie Guerrero as his manager is a nice touch, and this match up was good, I liked it a lot.

Jack Swagger brought out his father to the ring and said he was hanging out with him and couldn't have beaten up the Undertaker. This was stupid, as Swagger said he was in a Chicken Wing eating contest.

Kane came out, and was ready to mop up Swagger. Swagger then went after Kane's leg and his dad was cheering him on, which was funny. Kane then chokeslammed Jack Swagger's dad! Rey Mysterio came out and helped Kane get the upper hand.

The show ended with Kane's pyro and he was “scary”...FML.

Oh and Kane tombstoned Swagger's dad.

***Since no one commented, and my "wrestling wrap up" post last week got little to no fan fare, I'm not doing one this week. Too bad suckers....I kid....PPV review will go up Monday before Raw airs...just in case you're wondering.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Results

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chavo Guerrero and MVP in a triple threat match
Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins defeated Matt Hardy & Christian
Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston
Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated JTG
The Big Show vs Jack Swagger (Double Countout)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Review

Drew McIntyre was in ring and out came Teddy Long with a mic...another boring promo featuring the world's most boring wrestler ever. Drew McIntyre was calling Teddy, Mr. Long, and he was sucking up to the general manager big time. I was on the brink of falling asleep during this opening promo, as McIntyre has NO charisma and is as bland as a mayonaise sandwich on white bread...just sayin.

Teddy Long wanted Drew McIntyre to drop to his knees and ask for forgiveness. Drew did so and asked to get into the Money In The Bank Ladder match. Teddy Long made a match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston and if he wins, he's in. This promo took a good portion of the beginning of the show and was terribly dry and boring.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chavo Guerrero and MVP in a triple threat match

This match was interesting, because Ziggler and Chavo were supposed to be working together with Vickie. Vickie wanted Dolph to win but the WWE was trying to get the fans behind Chavo as the sympathetic wrestler by having him turn on Vickie in this match up. The crowd response wasn't that extreme, and it was hard to look over the fact that MVP was the obvious favorite in this match up. The match had some good spots, and broke down to the regular formula of Triple Threat Matches with 1 person getting thrown out of the ring only to leave two guys in ring. MVP was ready to win this one, but Vickie pulled the ref out when MVP had this thing completely won. Dolph Ziggler jumped MVP and lights out, Ziggler won and got into the Money in the Bank match up.

I liked the dynamic of Vickie being a good manager that is helping Dolph get into the match up. Guerrero's sympathetic heel/face turn was subtle at times and I'm not sure if the fans wanted that at all. The crowd reaction was nice throughout the high points and low points of this match. The worst part of the match was not the actual match, but rather the announce team. The Smackdown announce team is the WORST team in broadcasting wrestling. It seriously is the worst, and most boring commentary to listen to.

Backstage Rey Mysterio was told that he had a ligament tear in his Ankle. Dolph Ziggler jumped in and put Rey into the Ankle Lock, and no one was helping. This could be a good way of getting Rey to drop the title, and get written off the show as Swagger carryied the Ankle Lock and dragged Mysterio through the backstage area. He's done, Swagger is looking more and more ruthless, and Mysterio is out, he's completely out folks, and I guess I'm buying into it...man I'm a sucker.

Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins defeated Matt Hardy & Christian

Matt Hardy is fat. Christian is lacking in the Charisma department lately. Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins suck, and just don't have “it”, in my view. This was a fast match, and while there was a small amount of offense, it ended after Christian turned on Matt Hardy. He dragged Matt Hardy over the top rope by dragging his arm, and Vance Archer capitalized. Hawkins and Archer basically beat Matt Hardy as Christian turns heel on Matt Hardy.

Remember when the Intercontinental Champion automatically received a World Title Shot? They would always bill the matches as “Champion vs Champion” and make it a big deal? Those were the days.

Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston

Drew McIntyre couldn't beat Kofi in title matches, but to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match he can. This match wasn't all that good, and I didn't particularly find it very entertaining. Sure there were some of the usual spots, and after getting thrown into the ring post Drew hit the Future Shock DDT to win the match. Kofi is always good, but while wrestling a bland Drew McIntyre, he just couldn't carry him, in my opinion.

The Straightedge Society was airing their dirty laundry. I think Serena is hot. Punk forgave his fallen chick, and that was that. Man, that Southpark parody is so true in many ways. It's all drama...arg.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated JTG

Dashing Cody Rhodes is really making a name for himself beating up has been tag team wrestlers. Remember when it was big Shad's “TIME”, well it seems that JTG is getting more matches than the bigger man that was getting the solo push. JTG is ok, but he needs more than just the “Cryme Tyme” gimmick to go solo. I was impressed with the fast paced offense of JTG, I just don't see the WWE pushing him any time soon. Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, was making a major impact and he's gotten a lot better since being in Legacy, and it's nice to see him develop. He hit CrossRhodes and that was that, the clean win.

The Big Show vs Jack Swagger (Double Countout)

This match wasn't that great, but one thing I can always count on is seeing Big Show manhandle an opponent. I wouldn't want to work with Big Show, he seems to hit very hard. He was inflicting some major pain on Swagger and if the sound is any resemblance of the pain involved with getting hit by a tree trunk of a fist, then working with Big Show is no fun. Big Show forgot that his ankle was injured cause he turned the injury on and off throughout the match. This thing was even handed, and eventually had the two fighting on the ramp before Swagger kicked Show in the leg and left him in pain.

Backstage Kane grabbed Swagger and was blaming him for the Undertaker's vegetative state. Swagger was then put in a red room and Kane looked like he was going to molest the guy.

I'm sick of the Kane gimmick, this show had some lackluster matches, and just made me once again hate watching Smackdown. Good riddance when they are off of “Mytv” or whatever. I'm sick of this crap...I need a drink.

Swagger said he would prove that he didn't beat up Taker or whatever. WHO CARES!? Kane probably did it, and will face the Undertaker in a Hell in the Cell match or a buried alive match or something like that. I'm sick of this angle, I'm glad the week in wrestling is now over.

Stay tuned for my weekly recap and commentary including answering your comments and questions.

WWE NXT 7/6/10 Results and Review

WWE NXT 7/6/10 Results

Michael McGillicutty defeated Percy Watson
The Miz defeated Kaval
Dashing Cody Rhodes & Husky Harris defeated Mark Henry & Lucky Cannon

WWE NXT 7/6/10 Review

A recap was shown of the NXT season 2 first cut from last week. I haven't paid a whole lot of attentino to these guys, but so far there are only a few guys that I'm impressed with. Kaval should win, Percy looks funny, the rest? I don't know, I don't really care that much. Do you?

Matt Stryker called out the WWE Pro's.

The pros took a few moments to talk about their rookies and what not. Well, some of them anyways...I'm already bored. The NXT rookies came out. Riley looks classic, with his Letterman jacket.

The NXT announcer sucks now, just sayin.

Michael McGillicutty defeated Percy Watson

Michael McGullicutty sucks. His look is terrible. Seriously, what a bland, mayonaise looking son of a...nevermind. Watson looks interesting, his fake glasses are good, but his botched dropkick didn't impress me. Although, he took it in stride, and moved forward. MVP yelling at his rookie was interesting, meanwhile Kofi just clapping and mourning the Ghana World Cup loss was a nice contrast. I took a sip of my coffee and McGillicutty won, so that was that.

The Mizv defeated Kaval

Kaval is already a veteran, in my view, and facing The Miz proved that he can go, despite his small stature. Remember when Daniel Bryan beat up the Miz and spit on John cena? Could Kaval be that guy for season 2? He's got the size, and the hot chicks yelling at him. I'd like to be part of Laycool, except for when the Undertaker beats me up for looking at McCool, just sayin. Kaval at one point went for a sunset flip and turned into a face stomp! I loved it, and thought Miz was on his way to losing. Kaval The Miz won, but man, Kaval put on one heck of a fight, this was not a squash, I loved it. Best match of NXT season 1 and season 2.

Eli Cottonwood sucks, yeah, I said it.

John Cena killed Black John Cena. Hahah....he's dead.

Oh and if Cena wins on Monday, I riot!

Husky Harris is impressive, I admit that, but can he win this thing? I don't know. What do I know? He reminds me of a young, very young, Dusty Rhodes.

On a sidenote, Dashing Cody Rhodes looks like this idiot I went to school with. At the time all the girls in my class were all over him and thought he was so hot. I didn't think so, but whatever, he looks like Cody Rhodes.....so maybe he is dashing? I don't know.

Dashing Cody Rhodes & Husky Harris defeated Mark Henry & Lucky Cannon

Lucky Cannon reminds me of Chris Cannon (pornstar), not that I watch a lot of it, but the name, just the name. Then again, he also reminds me of professional skateboard Colt Cannon. Lucky looks like a young Paul Roma, in his style. Harris is fast, wow, I can't believe how fast he can move in the ring. Mark Henry nearly took Husky's head off with a huge clubbing clothesline. Lucky is fast too, and this match surprised me. The two rookies are far more advanced than ½ the guys in the Nexus, whichi s a positive for the WWE. Maybe Nexus will fight NXT season 2 guys? The CrossRhodes was hit and Lucky Cannon was out cold.

That was that. NXT actually had a lot of wrestling in it, I for one was surprised at how good the rookies are. I'm impressed with them, far more than anyone on the Nexus right now.

What did you think? Leave me a comment, and I'll make sure to reply in my new "this week in wwe comments" section after the Smackdown review. Just keep the comments rolling, and if we get this thing moving, maybe I'll start giving away dvd's, posters, t-shirts and much more.
