WCW Sin 2001 Review

WCW Sin 2001 PPV
Live From Indianapolis Indiana, where I am writing this today, we are going to look into the biggest events of WCW for 2001, since they were on their way out, and well, I wanted to review things overall. Let’s get into the action, and see how it all went down. WCW 2001, with all sorts of talent.

Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Shane Helms in the WCW Cruiserweight Championship Match

This was a good opening match, featuring Chavo doing a lot more fast action, high flying work than he would do in WWE. Shane Helms was great here too, and as part of 3-Count, he really did well with fighting through a lot of different focused hits. There was some good back and forth here of course.

Reno defeated Big Vito

This was a good big man match. Lots of power moves, lots of back and forth, and in the end Reno go the win. It wasn’t a terrible match, but it was definitely one that was mostly a matter of big men, throwing big shots, and power moves. Fun for what it was.

The Jung Dragons defeated Evan Karagias and Jamie Noble

Man, this was fast, and quite fun to watch as well. It featured the young cruiserweight from the WCW call ups and it was fun to watch them go back and forth throughout the match. This was under 10 minutes, but it was fun to watch and the two threw out a lot of high spots, and classic small guy moves.

Team Canada defeated The Filthy Animals in a Penalty Box Match with Jim Duggan as a Ref

This was so much fun to watch, and I loved the concept of the Penalty Box, with Duggan calling it all down the middle. The guys really proved to be good workers, and I was even impressed with Konnan’s work here. Kidman and Mysterio were flying around the ring with Storm and Skipper, and Mike Awesome is a gem with this team. Major Gunns looked good, and I’m sure she’s as cold as ever since I recall hugging her in an XPW show.

Meng defeated Crowbar and Terry Funk in the WCW Hardcore Championship Match

This went immediately to the back and there was a lot of back and forth action here. It was a good match, with some great momentum here and there. I didn’t hate it, mind you, I thought that the guys put on an ok match with Funk throwing down some great shots against Meng and Crowbar for that matter. Meng would get the win, and took a lot of chair shots to the head, which were cringe worthy.

Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire defeated The Insiders in the WWE tag Team Match

This was a hard hitting match and was impressive if you ask me. Palumbo and O’Haire were good here and DDP was fighting like he had something to prove. Page and Nash worked well together, and the crowd was incredibly hot for this. The crowd was going nuts for each iteration of this match. I must also say that Tony Schiavone was great here with some great calls. When Kevin Nash got the hot tag, he took out both competitors, but out of the blue came out Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger, which prompted the new guys to win the tag team titles. Buff came in dressed up and had a pipe! This got a lot of heat, and it was a great match even if it ended with cheating. The crowd went nuts booing.

Shane Douglas defeated General E Rection for the US Championship in a Chain Match

This was a hard hitting, crazy match with Shane Douglas getting beat up a lot, but eventually would get a helping hand in knocking out E Section with a chain. This was a first blood chain match, and it ended with Douglas cheating and getting the win, which was one hell of a brawl overall. Good stuff here, and I enjoyed it. Hard hitting, the crowd was into it, and that’s always nice.

Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell defeated Goldberg and Sarge

This was one hell of a match folks. It had Goldberg getting a lot of attention first, then things started to go downhill as Luger and Bagwell would cheat to get the win. They would isolate Sarge then after a fan interaction that seemed to spray Goldberg with something, he got beat down from Buff and Luger and that was that. Good fight, nice work, and honestly, the crowd was into it, until Luger and Buff would get the win.

Scott Steiner defeated Sid Vicious, Jeff Jarrett, and a Mystery Opponent

The story of this match was that Ric Flair had a mystery man that was going to come down and beat up Scott Steiner. However, the bigger story was that Jeff Jarrett and Steiner were working together against Sid Vicious. Sid would break his leg in this match, and the WWE Network doesn’t show it, so make sure you look for the official release if you want to see the unedited version. The Mystery Opponent showed up and it was none other than Roadwarrior Animal! It was not half bad, but the match was rushed, and left the crowd a bit dead. It ended quickly, the credits rolled, and Steiner kept his title yet again.

Overall, I would give this a C rating for the overall matches and crowd. It wasn’t bad, or as terrible as people think, but it wasn’t amazing either. It had some good matches in the undercard, and lots of shenanigans, with a hot crowd. I didn’t hate it.

WWE Superstars 1/20/11 Results and Review

No one really reads this site anyways, and no one buys anything from the links, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that I totally forgot about this blog until this morning when I realized I didn't review anything for the second half of the week. I guess I am losing my interest in professional wrestling, at least doing this site, but somehow I managed to watch it for you idiots that still visit this site. I hate going to the library to watch wrestling, it's so lame, but when you don't have a job or any money, this is what happens.

Here are my thoughts on WWE Superstars from Thursday 1/20 I think it was the 19th....and I'm shaking things up....you'll have to read through the review to get the results...no more holding your hands...jerks.

The first match was Chavo Guerrero and JTG squaring off against each other. How long will the WWE employ Chavo? I'm tired of seeing that dude, sorry. He needs to reinvent himself as something new. The match up was ok at best, it was actually kind of tired, until JTG started to hit a second wind and really put the boots (literally) to Chavo. JTG hit the MUG SHOT and then a nice spinning neck move and CHavo was out cold. JTG wins again.

JTG defeated Chavo Guerrero

I'm hoping they fire Chavo soon, or repackage him.

Chris Masters came out next, and I haven't liked the guy since he turned on Carlito inside the Elimination Chamber all those years ago. Masters came flying off the top rope to lose his face as he got serious rug burn on the mat, and Hawkins capitalized by....using a head lock. Hawkins really made this match boring, while Masters won...but don't get it twisted, this was a terribly boring match.

Chris Masters defeated Curt Hawkins

I'm hoping they fire Curt Hawkins soon.

Nxt sucks

Up next they put Zack Ryder and Primo together? This just seemed weird. They should hire Robbie E to team up with Zack Ryder for the ultimate Jersey Shore reference. I've never seen the show, just to let you guys know. In case you didn't know, I don't own a tv, nor cable, and there's NO affiliate channels in my area so I get no free channels. Oh and the other team was DH Smith and Black John Cena. Darren Young has improved greatly, if you ask me, and he's looking great against the likes of Primo. Darren Young cleared house at the end of the match, but it was too little too late, because the Rough Ryder was hit and that was that, Young knocked out cold, and we get Zack Ryder a win.

Zack Ryder & Primo defeated Darren Young & DH Smith

Up next was Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd. These two smaller wrestlers are great mat technicians, but they are just wrestlers and not exactly the Superstar level that is required by the WWE. I mean, they are ok at best, but I wouldn't miss them if they were to leave the WWE. The match was ok, it had a few good spots, lots of fast paced mat wrestling and top rope misses and hits, and in the end, Kidd loses after a roll up, and that's that.

Yoshi Tatsu defeated Tyson Kidd

Superstars was quick, only about 39 minutes of content to fill the full hour. I didn't really like it, even though I was able to sit through all of it. There were a few good spots, but nothing that I can truly say anyone missed. Superstars needs to have a better influx of top stars for me and the rest of the WWE Universe to care, and it's just not happening yet.

WWE Superstars 1/13/10 Results and Review

WWE Superstars 1/13/10 REsults

Chris Masters & JTG defeated Chavo Guerrero & Curt Hawkins
Gail Kim defeated Alicia Fox
Primo, Darren Young, DH Smith, and Yoshi Tatsu defeated The Usos, William Regal, and Zack Ryder

WWE Superstars 1/13/10 Review

Chris Masters & JTG defeated Chavo Guerrero & Curt Hawkins

If I saw this match live, I would mark out huge, but on tv? This is not a great match to watch. IT had a lot of slow downs and not too much action. JTG was able to liven up the mood, and Hawkins can bump, but Masters and Chavo made this one slower than I'd like it to be. The match would eventually end with realitive ease from Masters.

Gail Kim defeated Alicia Fox

This was the most exciting divas match I've seen in a long time. There were a few major hits, but it was all Gail Kim in this one. I loved it. Her missile drop kick is picture perfect and I'm amazed that the divas don't get more quality matches like this. Gail Kim wins, and that's the end of that.

Primo, Darren Young, DH Smith, and Yoshi Tatsu defeated The Usos, William Regal, and Zack Ryder

This match wasn't half bad, it had a lot of back and forth action, a lot of quick tags, and quality moments to watch. The match went for a good amount of time, and it was interesting to see this unfold. After a good amount of time, the ring cleared and left Zack Ryder and Yoshi Tatsu alone in the ring, which would end in predictable fashion...Tatsu knocks out Ryder and that is the end of that.

WWE Smackdown 12/21/10 Results and Review

WWE Smackdown 12/21/10 Results

Randy Orton defeated The Miz via DQ
Santino defeated Chavo Guerrero
Drew McIntyre defeated Kaval
Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston defeated Alberto Del Rio & Jack Swagger
John Cena defeated Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero

WWE Smackdown 12/21/10 Review

A special Tuesday night smackdown would be the start of something good, until I heard the worst Greenday track ever recorded. I hate the post "Warning" greenday sound, they went soft and sold out. I liked when they were punk...now they are? I don't know, pop.

Randy Orton defeated The Miz via DQ

The first match was The Miz facing off against Randy Orton in rematch from the ppv, although this was not a tables match. The Miz was running from Orton, and Orton was hitting Miz with heavy shots, and this thing looked like a burial job, if it weren't for The Miz constantly running out of the ring, scared.

Once Orton made a slight judgment error, The Miz started to mount a nice comeback with some rights and lefts, a suplex, some counters to Orton's signature turns, but Orton kept at it, and would eventually get the upper hand yet again. I'm not a big Orton fan, but he works really well with the Miz, and the two have a good timing, that really gets the crowd involved in their matches. I liked the pace the of this one. Alex Riley would help Miz regain the upper hand again, and this made Orton look all the more vulnerable, and Miz smarter for having Alex Riley helping him out.

Stryker stated that Orton was favoring his shoulder and neck, and the two other commentators disagreed, and after the men argued, Orton did exactly what Stryker said, he took a back drop and he favored his neck and looked injured. He would come back though, and hit a nice series of movies then his inside out DDT and was ready to deliver the RKO but Alex Riley interfered, only stopping the Viper the RKO was hit, giving Randy Orton the win via Disqualification after Riley ran in yet again! Yep. Riley saves the Miz.

Post match Randy Orton was all set to hit the punt but instead delivered a HUGE RKO to Alex Riley as Miz crawled his way out of the ring. Orton looked strong for once, and I like him 100 times better in this role than I did as the champion. This match was a quality encounter, even if there was a DQ finish, and I can only say that Miz has shocked me yet again, he's not a one trick pony, he has a lot of gusto and he proved it once again with a great match up here.

The Big Show once again was giving out cool stuff backstage as Santa Claus. Hornswoggle was also ther to give out presents. Eve joined them, and it looked interesting enough, but I knew what was coming. Dashing Cody Rhodes ran down and messed up the ring, beat up Hornswoggle, and made The Big Show very upset.

Edge cut a promo, and then Kane came out...I don't remember much of this encounter cause I was getting some more coffee.

Drew McIntyre defeated Kaval

Kaval was completely squashed here. Drew kicked him in the face which looked really sick, then hit the Future Shock DDT and this thing was over. Drew wins, Kaval gets buried, he needs to go back to TNA.

Santino defeated Chavo Guerrero

Despite Chavo's continual play up of his "Latino" heat gimmick, or rather the late Great Eddie Guerrero's gimmick, he just can't manage to get away from jobber status. Santino got a beating throughout this match but was able to deliver The Cobra to pin Chavo yet again. Chavo needs to just quit and join TNA or something, he hasn't been over in such a long time.

Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston defeated Alberto Del Rio & Jack Swagger

This match was a good fast paced match with lots of room to breathe. I'm surprised Del Rio was in this match as much as he was, while Swagger took most of the bumps here. Kofi and Rey are a good fast paced team and never let up on the offense. They hit all your crowd pleasing spots, and then with the 619 and Trouble In Paradise knocking out the bad guys, Kofi and Rey won. The two did a nice double High Cross body off the top rope, and boy, the 12 year old inside of me was going completely nuts for this match. This match was nothing more than a crowd pleaser, and a quality match up after the squash match before it.

John Cena defeated Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero

John Cena started this match up fast and I liked it. John was completely in control and Ziggler was bumping great like he was on Raw. Eventually Ziggler was able to capitalize on a Cena quick overlook and would work him over, and at one point Vickie Guerrero got in and got a couple of shots in against Cena. This once again is a testament to how good Ziggler is in ring, as he is one of the most competant workers that the WWE has. I can see Ziggler getting a world title run or at least getting over enough to get title shots because he was looking great against a much more experienced John Cena.

One of the best points of the match was a nice reversal on an Irish Whip from Ziggler in which he sent Cena into the ropes and Cena went for the shoulder block only to miss by a split second when Ziggler dropped and let Cena roll through the ropes onto the floor. It was such a well timed spot that I was marking out alongside the San Antonio crowd. I was going nuts, becuase this match, once again, was one of the best matches I've seen all year, and that's saying a lot.

Vickie Guerrero tagged in towards the end of the match and completely fell on her face as she tried to deliver a splash on Cena. Ziggler would eventually get back in and started to lose his cool as Cena was hitting his five moves of doom, and despite my hatred for him all year, I was marking out huge for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle! Ziggler countered the Attitude Adjustment and hit the Leg Drop (I forget what it's called) but wasn't able to win the match. Cena hit the STF and Vickie came in to argue with Cena and break up the submission attempt. CENA then kissed Vickie Guerrero and then hit the Attitude Adjustment on Ziggler and pinned the Intercontinental Champion two nights in a row!

This match was incredible fun and the kiss on Cena was awesome to see. Better yet was the attempt at an Attitude Adjustment on Vickie Guerrero! He was stopped by none other than CM PUNK! That's right CM PUNK jumped in with a chair and full wrestling gear and knocked out John Cena with a CHAIR!

A CM PUNK JOHN CENA FEUD?!?!?! I'm all in folks, I'm all freakin in if this is how they are going to build to that feud. Oh man, I love it. Smackdown, for once, was a great show, no filler all killer, I liked it a lot, and you should've liked it too. What a great couple of nights of wrestling.

Whether you hate John Cena or Love John Cena, you're going to probably want to check out The John Cena Experience 3 DISC DVD set or the BLU RAY High Definition John Cena Experience. The set contains 16 matches from all over Cena's career but most importantly goes behind the scenes of his life to show you just how much effort he puts into working for the WWE. The commercial was quite interesting and the set looks like something you'd want to pick up. If you're interested in the John Cena Experience click here to purchase it for cheap, it helps this blog continue and hopefully gets me an internet connection at home, because right now I'm using the old library in my town.

Thanks for reading! Leave comments, send emails my way, and subscribe to the RSS FEED right here, as we head into another great year of wrestling.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Results

Kofi Kingston & Kaval defeated Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Masters
The Miz defeated Rey Mysterio
Santino & Kozlov defeated Tyler Reks & Chavo Guerrero
The Miz & Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge & Rey Mysterio (no contest)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Review

Edge started the show to a huge ovation. I absolutely love Edge's music and his entrance. I really like Edge when he's not involved in hokie story lines and looking like an idiot. Edge started talking on the mic, and it was boring, but his entrance and music was awesome. A video recap of the last 4 weeks was shown and how stupid it really was. I don't know anyone that liked it at all, and hopefully their feud ends at TLC.

Backstage, Teddy Long set up a four way TLC match at the ppv. Well, let's be honest, he set up a triple threat match if Kane didn't show up, but of course I heard a spoiler on some random podcast, and knew that the stipulation would be made after all. So, Teddy Long set up a four way TLC match...which sounds a lot better to me, than the standard one. I hope it is great.

Kofi Kingston & Kaval defeated Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger

It's funny to see Kofi Kingston in the opening match, considering that just a few months back he was in the main event picture with Randy Orton. Remember that? Neither does Kofi.

There's this guy that works at the Jewelry store in the mall where I live and he looks exactly like Jack Swagger. I like the new Jack Swagger shirt, by the way, but the guy at the mall is named Zack, so I've been calling him "Zack" Swagger. For all I know, Jack Swagger is actually working at the mall, when he's not jobbing out on Smackdown.

Kofi Kingston will face Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger in a Ladder Match for the intercontinental championship. I for one am glad to see that on paper. Too bad Kaval is wasted on this night.

The match was your standard tag match, with Kaval taking a lot of damage up front. Kofi and Kaval both used a lot of fast paced maneuvers to try and thwart the harder, slower pace of Swagger and Ziggler. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise at the end of the match to pin Ziggler with relative ease, and this match helps get Kaval in the winners circle for once. I doubt Kingston will get the belt, but Swagger as Intercontinental Champion? I can see that. Kofi has some sick height on his jumps, I'm hoping he dives off the top of a ladder on Sunday, we'll have to wait and see. At this point though, I think I miss Shelton Benjamin.

Post match, Jack Swagger decked Dolph Ziggler.

The Miz is on Smackdown, with Alex Riley. The Miz is one of the most media champion we've had in a very long time, and that's one of the coolest things about the Miz's title reign. No other champion has had the media blitz that The Miz has gotten, and he truly deserves it, since he worked amazingly hard to get to that spot. No one can take that away from him.

JTG got a full new promo! Str8 outta Brooklyn with JTG! He's acting the fool, which is funny and could actually work. He can talk, and getting him on the midcard could be positive.

Drew McIntyre was hitting on some random diva...oh man, cheating on Tiffany already? Oh that's Kelly Kelly! I heard she's a ring rat, and it's confirmed by a lot of wrestlers in shoot interviews.

Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Masters

I recall Chris Masters being a knockoff of Lex Luger's old gimmick, but lately, he's nothing more than a glorified jobber and this match proved once again that he's nothing more than that. This fast match really was one sided, with Cody Rhodes eventually hitting Cross Rhodes to get the victory. I like his finisher, I just wish he had a more prominent feud or title chase or something. Chris Masters can go to TNA and help Rob Terry or something.

The Miz defeated Rey Mysterio

I want to point out that no other WWE Champion in recent months has done as much as champion as the Miz. Randy Orton, Sheamus, and even Triple H were NEVEr on smackdown in the same capacity that Miz has been in his short weeks as champion. Rey Mysterio also was booked as a weak champion, and this is further proof that some of the "higher" champions don't wrestle on the "B" show, but Miz will do anything, and that's a great testament for him.

The Miz showed in this match that he's not just a random champion, he put on a great deal of offense. He countered some of Mysterio's moves, he fought hard and Mysterio was not quick enough to put the miz over, and beat him. THe Miz actually put on a great show and I loved it. Mysterio went for his splash but Miz put up his knees and Mysterio lost this one. This was definitely a high contender for match of the week.

Post match, Edge ran down after Alberto Del Rio beat up Rey, and The Miz started fighting Edge, and this prompted a match to be made with the four of them wrestling in a tag match. Miz is doing double duty tonight, which is another testament to how hard working he is for a new champion.

Layla and Michelle McCool came out and protested their tables match on the ppv, which was funny to hear. They got real heat, but I'm sure they'll go straight through tables this weekend, or so I hope. Beth Phoenix and Natlya came out with a painted Table, and they set it up in the middle of the ring, which was actually really cool to see. THe table was pink and completely altered. Phoenix and Natalya nearly put Layla through the table, but McCool saved her. This weekend will definitely be interesting to see.

Santino & Kozlov defeated Tyler Reks & Chavo Guerrero

This week, Chavo Guerrero got a much better partner to face the tag team champions. Have I mentioned already that I love the new Santino shirt? If I had money, I'd buy it, but I'm broke still. This match started relatively slow with Tyler Reks facing Kozlov. Guerrero got a tag in and eventually the match picked up pace with the cruiserweight in the ring. Santino got the tag and showed that he knew more wrestling than just his comedy pieces, and that was nice to see, although he's far from being a credible champion. I'm surprised that Chavo can't get over, no matter what WWE does. He should go back to his "White" gimmick. Kozlov was impressive in this match, and that's probably because he was facing opponents that complimented his style. Santino hit the Cobra and the crowd went nuts, and the tag team champions roll through yet another tag team of random opponents. Hey, it wasn't a classic, but it will have to do, I liked it enough.

Edge & Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio & The Miz

Not a terrible match, it had a lot of action. The Miz and Edge could probably put together a great deal of momentum in a feud. Edge managed to get the best of Miz here, especially by countering the Skull Crushing Finale with the Impaler DDT. Mysterio hit the 619 on Miz, and Edge hit the spear, but Kane hit the ring, and this match was another none finish.

There's nothing worse in wrestling than a stupid non finish to what's supposed to be a good match. This match was decent and managed to have a good deal of action, fast pacing, and interesting match ups. Kane beat up Edge, but out ran the Smackdown locker room to stop it?! I don't know why they would care. Meanwhile on the outside, it looked like Husky Harris and Rey Mysterio were fighting. The locker room split the two men, to try and get some sort of "order" but once again, I don't understand the logic behind them trying to keep the two apart.

That was Smackdown. Not exactly a great night in wrestling, but the show seemed to fly by, and I liked it enough, despite the mediocre points.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/10/10 Results

Jack Swagger defeated Kaval
Hornswoggle defeated The Soaring Eagle
Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler via disqualification
Chris Masters won a masterlock challenge against Dashing Cody Rhodes.
Santino & Kozlov defeated Chavo Guerrero and Drew McIntyre
Natalya defeated Layla
Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/10/10 Review

Sometimes you just don't feel like talking about wrestling or doing anything. Right now, I feel like crap, I haven't had a job in 16 months now, and Congress hasn't pushed through unemployment insurance extensions, and ugh...I'm tired of Smackdown, tired of having no money. Oh well...here's the review:

Boring ass Kane came out and started cutting a promo. Edge came through on the titan tron and well...the stupid story line continued....I'm so tired.

Jack Swagger defeated Kaval

Kaval is legit injured, and Swagger completely killed Kaval. Kaval put up a good fight and there were a few good kicks, rolling moves, and even top rope options, but Swagger was way too much for the rookie. Kaval lost via submission and Swagger is looking more jacked then ever. I hope Swagger gets some better feuds, cause right now he's just Kurt Angle jr.

Hornswoggle defeated The Soaring Eagle

About as bad as you could imagine.

Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler via disqualification

This match was a nice back and forth, ppv caliber match up. Ziggler was giving out punishment, but it looked like Kofi had his number, especially towards the end of this match. Kofi nearly won the match but out came Swagger to stop the three count, costing the match for Ziggler but more importantly, setting up a road block for Kingston as he tries to get the Intercontinental Championship. I liked the match up, but the ending blew it for me.

The edge and kane feud sucks.

Chris Masters won a masterlock challenge against Dashing Cody Rhodes.

Santino & Kozlov defeated Chavo Guerrero and Drew McIntyre

The Cobra strikes again, and Chavo is on the losing end. Drew has to be getting fired soon, he sucks. The match was your average comedic match with some nice action in between.

Post match, Drew McIntyre beat up Chavo, and that was that.

Natalya defeated Layla

Not much to see here, Natalya loses and that's that.

Rey Mysterio & Edge defeated Alberto Del Rio & Kane

This match was your average hot shot tag match. It had some excitement, it had some nice moments. It was basically Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio with the other two participants too busy with random backstage segments. I don't really care for this. Rey wins, and he'll probably lose at the ppv.

This week's Smackdown was terrible. That's all I can say. Oh and Paul Bearer might be dead, who cares.

WWE Superstars 11/18/10 Results

Chavo defeated JTG
Trent Barretta defeated CUrt Hawkins
Yoshi defeated Primo Colon
Melina & Gail Kim defeated Alicia Fox & Maryse

WWE Superstars 11/18/10 Review

Chavo defeated JTG

JTG needs big Shad to make his gimmick work, because a solo "gangsta" just seems odd. In fact, WWE should call up New Jack and have him manage the team of JTG and Shad as the "Gangstas" but that's just a quick idea, it probably won't go anywhere. Chavo and JTG put on an ok job, but not necessarily a great one. There were a few good spots, but overall, it wasn't exactly an all star classic.

Trent Barretta defeated CUrt Hawkins

This match was a quick paced, high offense match up. Trent was flying through spots, while Hawkins tried to slow down the pace. This match was just plain, nothing too exciting. It had enough nice spots, but overall, it just seem tired to me.

Yoshi defeated Primo Colon

Primo and Yoshi put together a halfway decent match up, and it was cool to hear the new commentator with CM Punk on color commentary. The match eventually ended with Yoshi picking up the win.

Melina & Gail Kim defeated Alicia Fox & Maryse

A longer divas match than in recent months, but that doesn't make it that much better. There were a few good spots, but nothing to really write home about. I enjoyed it enough, and the good girls get the win. Gail Kim and Melina get the win.

This show was definitely the "C" show, as it wasn't all that great, but it did offer some good spots here and there. All eyes are on Survivor Series and whether or not John Cena will turn heel.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/24/10 Results

Kane defeated Chris Masters
Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty
Chavo Guerrero defeated Kaval
The Big Show defeated Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer
CM Punk defeated Luke Gallows
MVP defeated Dolph Ziggler via countout

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/24/10 Review

This was supposedly the last Smackdown on My Network.

Kane defeated Chris Masters

Chris Masters was completely buried in this match. Remember when Chris Masters was in the main event of ppv's? Yeah, neither do I. Kane wins...I hate kane, you don't care, and most of the WWE universe doesn't care.

Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty

Once again, the Hart Dynasty looks like idiots. They lose to a hot shot tag team and that was that. I wasn't impressed, you didn't care, and no one really cared. The bad guys win an easy match, the crowd wasn't even into it. The tag division is so sad these days.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Kaval

The crowd didn't care, but I might have cared a little bit. Chavo beat down Kaval and won. Kaval buried again. Chavo hasn't been relevant in a long time, and I do believe he's only kept on as a legacy.

Alberto Del Rio cut a promo and beat up Christian. Christian is having surgery, he's out. Del Rio continues to thrive.

Backstage, Undertaker looked like a beaten old man. I'm tired of him, he should retire soon.

The Big Show defeated Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer

Big Show wins again. No surprise here. The tag division is a big joke in wwe.

CM Punk defeated Luke Gallows

Luke Gallows and the straightedge society are done. At least that's what I think. Luke Gallows barely put up a fight against PUnk. Punk's stable could've been massive, instead, it's over. I'm sick of bad wrestling.

MVP defeated Dolph Ziggler via countout

Ziggler moves onto a new feud after facing Kofi 20 billion times. MVP was semi-over with the crowd and he was able to get in a lot of offense, but the champion was quite smart, as he eventually just left the ring with his title and let himself get counted out for the cheap win.

Kane came out to cut a promo, it was stupid. Undertaker had a casket rolled out to the ring and inside the casket...Paul Bearer...yep. That's it. Paul Bearer...yep. He'sback and he's scary...I don't care, you shouldn't care either.

I'm so sick...literally, I can't care about bad wrestling today. I'll be back later with more crap. I'm going to go lay down.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/10/10 Results

Jack Swagger defeated MVP
Alberto Del Rio defeated Matt Hardy
Drew McIntyre defeated Kaval
Kofi Kingston & Chris Masters defeated Dolph Ziggler & Chavo Guerrero
The Undertaker defeated CM Punk

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/10/10 Review

Undertaker cut a stupid promo, CM Punk came out, they'll have a match later...Undertaker sucks these days.

Jack Swagger defeated MVP

MPV continues his road to being a sucka. Where's Booker T when you need him? Swagger was all over MVP's left ankle and he was hitting on all cylinders in this match up. MVP and Swagger fought on the outside and after a dropkick to the stairs that hit MVP's knees, this match was over. Swagger wins...but does anyone care? Speaking of Swagger, there's this dude at my local mall that works at the Jewelry Store that has me convinced he is Jack Swagger. Just saying.

Laycool made fun of Kaval...it was funny. I love Laycool....not as wrestlers as comedy agents on a terrible smackdown show.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Matt Hardy

Matt hardy is fat. I hope they fire him soon. He's losing his hair, he's not as fast in ring, and it showed against ALberto Del Rio. This match had a logical conclusion with Del Rio hurting Matt Hardy's left arm and then throwing him into the post and winning with his submission hold. I liked it. Del Rio's probably the best new character that WWE has created in a very long time. I loved it! He's my new favorite heel!

Drew McIntyre defeated Kaval

Kaval and McIntyre were on point, they worked well and they had a lot of counters. Kaval didn't just roll over Drew, and Drew didn't just roll over Kaval. The two fought to a nice match, one that most probably did not fast forward. Kaval hit a sick kick off the top rope and got the crowd going nuts when McIntyre kicked out! Kaval went for the Warior's Way and then jumped on McIntyre for but was completely Powerbombed out of his boots! Kaval took some damage in this match, and the crowd was oooohing and awwwing. McIntyre hit his DDT finisher and put away Kaval. This was NO easy task, and both men took some major hits. Kaval beat him clean...wow.

Kofi Kingston & Chris Masters defeated Dolph Ziggler & Chavo Guerrero

This match was a nice tag team, with some decent offense and back and forth action. I didn't hate it, and it didn't really do much for me. While I do enjoy them continuing the story lines from Superstars here, I didn't think that this did much for the stories other than elevating Masters and Chavo into the Smackdown fray. I liked it fair enough. Kofi won with Trouble in Paradise, not bad.

The Undertaker defeated CM Punk

This main event was definitely something cool to see live, since it had the PPV match up feel, at least on paper. This slow moving match took a while to set up anything good for either man, and while it wasn't an epic clash, there was enough action to make it a main event on Smackdown. The ending was great, with Undertaker catching Punk off the top rope into a huge chokeslam, with punk kicking out! Afterwards, Punk hit the GTS out of a Tombstone reversal, but didn't pin right away and that cost him. Punk was placed into the Hells Gate Triangle Choke and that was that. Undertaker wins a very tough match against punk.

I'll admit, I didn't have strong feelings for Smackdown on paper, but this was a good overall show. I actually enjoyed watching this night of wrestling. There were some good matches, a nice main event, a little comedy, and overall a quality show. Despite the stupidity with promo's and histories and constant commercials for Cena's new movie, that no one is going to see.

WWE Superstars 9/2/10 Results

Ted Dibiase defeated Goldust
Santino defeated 1 of the USOS
Kofi Kingston defeated Chavo Guerrero

WWE Superstars 9/2/10 Review

I'm dead tired this week, worst than any time before. I'm not sure why I even watch some of this stuff, but I can't resist....must move forward.

Ted Dibiase defeated Goldust

Not a terrible match, but it was slow. I'm under the impression that Goldust is trying to teach the youngster and this match was another lesson. Maryse was out there looking hot, and she made me want to go look at her playboy pictures again, but I fought the urge and kept with this match, which was actually long. Goldust would not be able to put away Dibiase, and the end came with his Dreamstreet finisher. I didn't hate the match, but I don't think it rung true with a lot of the casual fans.

Santino defeated 1 of the USOS

The burial of the USOS continues yet again. Santino won this match without too much of a problem. I don't care, you didn't care, and I'm sick of not having a real tag division.

Kofi Kingston defeated Chavo Guerrero

THis match wasn't bad, and Chavo can still put on ok matches. I'm surprised that he doesn't get much of a better push or story line. Kofi hit his spots well enough, and eventually knocked out Chavo with a nice kick off the top, and that was that.

This week's Superstars wasn't terrible, and was pur wrestling, but from wrestlers I didn't really care about. On a side note, it looked like Chavo was injured, but maybe it wasn't that serious.

WWE Superstars 8/12/10 Results

Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly
Chavo Guerrero defeated Chris Masters
The Usos defeated Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu

WWE Superstars 8/12/10 Review

I'm dead tired this week. I still don't have a job, but wrestling is a nice escape from time to time.

The Usos defeated Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu

This match was dumb. Sure, it had a bunch of great spots...er...just spots. Goldust should be given a better run, a title run, and his old gimmick back with lots of vignettes and homophobia inducing manuevers. Remember when he cost Razor the title? That was awesome! Remember the Golden Casket match? oh man! Goldust can still go, someone give him a shot! The Usos are lame, fire them already.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Chris Masters

I don't care. You don't care. Guerrero is ok, but he needs to go to TNA or something. Sorry, Eddie carried the little guy, and yet he actually was interesting in WCW.

Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly

The divas had a better match than I expected. McCool can wrestle, if given time and what not. I think Kelly Kelly needs to just go, her botches are becoming epic, and well...I'm tired of her. MCCool wins with her AJ Styles finisher, and that was that.

Superstars is the best pure wrestling show that the WWE pushes out, but that isn't necessarily a great thing, just sayin.

WWE Superstars 7/29/10 Results and Review

WWE Superstars 7/29/10 Results

Croft defeated Chris Masters
Kozlov & Santino defeated William Regal & Primo Colon
MVP defeated Chavo Guerrero

WWE Superstars 7/29/10 Review

Another week another round up of reviews and results, and here it is, the latest and greatest from the show that is called WWE SUPERSTARS.

Kozlov & Santino defeated William Regal & Primo Colon

The wwe keeps showcasing this match, and I swear I've seen it a few times alerady. Regal keeps getting shoved into joke tag matches, and Santino and Kozlov apparently are a force to be reckon with. Maybe they'll get the tag titles, I don't know. This match was ok at best, Primo is still got some quality moves, if only they would showcase him more.

Croft defeated Chris Masters

The dudebusters are the worst tag team in wrestling today. Chris Masters looked like he was having an easy time with Croft and it just looked too easy at times. After a few near falls, it looked like Masters hurt himself and lost this match, and that was that. I don't care, you don't care, this match sucked.

MVP defeated Chavo Guerrero

I was surprised to see the WWE give Chavo such a long match against MVP. MVP was in control for a good portion of this match, with Chavo getting a little offense in here and there. Chavo has new shorter trunks, which is similar to his WCW career. MVP got the win in the end and for what it was, the match wasn't terrible.

This night of Superstars was nothing too incredible, but not a complete waste of time. There are no major plot points, and the end match was at least entertaining.

WWE Superstars 7/22/10 Results

MVP and Chris Masters defeated The Dudebusters
Chavo Guerrero defeated JTG
Primo defeated Yoshi Tatsu
The Hart Dynasty defeated The USOS

WWE Superstars 7/22/10 Review

Here we go, another episode of Superstars.

MVP and Chris Masters defeated The Dudebusters

This match wasn't much to talk about. The Dudebusters are working well together, but it's too bad they aren't on a bigger show. Mvp & Masters was just a random hot shot team and they actually did well working this match up to their advantage. The match sounded like the WWE funneled in cheering, but that was just me. Masters got the Masterlock in and then threw his opponent out of the ring and let MVP hit the Playmaker and that was that. This match was fast, easy to watch, and executed perfectly.

Chavo Guerrero defeated JTG

I feel like we've already seen this match many times over. JTG had a few moments in this match, but it was all Chavo here. Chavo eventually set up the former Cryme Tyme dude with a Frogsplash and won. The crowd was semi-into the match up and he actually got a small response. Maybe that's what they are doing with Chavo here, getting a few fans behind him. JTG continues to fall, and he'll be future endeavored soon.

Primo defeated Yoshi Tatsu

I didn't think this match was all that good, but Primo is improving a lot. He's got a new attitude, and he put on a show for the crowd. Yoshi had some nice kicks in and some good offense, but it was Primo that was able to get Yoshi into a Backcracker off the top rope, which isn't as cool as it sounds, was able to win the match up.

The Hart Dynasty defeated The USOS

Once again, the Hart Dynasty beat the USOS. Is the WWE purposely burying their only other legitimate tag team? The Hart Dynasty continues to win in glorified jobber matches and I'm not sure why. The tag division is a big joke, that's for sure.

This match sucked, this night of wrestling sucked. Superstars needs to go away.

WWE Superstars 7/15/10 Results

Chavo Guerrero defeated JTG
Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer defeated Jobbers
The Bella Twins defeated Jillian & Maryse
Chris Jericho defeated Yoshi Tatsu

WWE Superstars 7/15/10 Review

I remember wanting to get up early on weekends to watch cartoons then eat sugary cereal and then watch WWF Challenge or WWF Superstars at noon on regular television. The latest incarnation of Superstars really is somewhat like that, only in that it shares the name and style. The show is just wrestling, and not a whole lot of storyline, which isn't too bad, but it lacks the enthusiasm that the other shows had. I for one, am not as enthused each Thursday to watch and review 3 hours of wrestling, but I somehow continue to do so, and sometimes, I wonder why. Here are my thoughts on Superstars for this week.

Chavo Guerrero defeated JTG

JTG is way over in comparison to Shad Gaspar. Remember, it was Shad's time? Yeah, well JTG seemed to have the gimmick and the legs to continue being featured on WWE tv. This match seemed odd, two lower card guys opening television? I guess. I like Chavo, but no one else seems to like him, and he's still pushing that “Chavito Heat” type of gimmick. It only worked because of his Uncle Eddie, and he needs an update. JTG and Chavo exchanged momentum in this match up, and both men had unique points of interest, and I wasn't sure who'd actually win this one. I could make arguments for each man winning, but after some botches and some obvious “light hits” it seemed obvious to me that Chavo had the upper hand. Chavo ended up winning with the Frog Splash and that was that.

Not exactly a great match, but I guess it's nice to see Chavo getting a win, even if the fan fare was chimed in during post production.

Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer defeated Jobbers

This was stupid, and while I loved the classic jobbers from yesteryear in WCW and WWF, I don't care for them anymore. The jobbers got beat up and that was that. Hawkins and Archer is the worst team in WWE right now, and this match made me care even less about them. Your typical jobber match, that's about it.

The Bella Twins defeated Jillian & Maryse

This match sucked. The divas are the worst example of women's wrestling ever. The match had a lot of Blonde action, with both Maryse and Jillian taking control of the Bellas at different points in this match up. The Twins switched places during the match, a roll up worked and the Bellas win another match up. This was boring, and really only further proves that the divas suck. A funny moment in the match was when Jillian and Maryse tried to do the switch.

Chris Jericho defeated Yoshi Tatsu

Yoshi gave Chris Jericho a good fight, and the contrast of styles was definitely working towards making this match a great main event for Superstars. The match had Tatsu looking strong throughout and when he almost got to the ropes during the Walls of Jericho, I thought for sure this match would have Jericho once again losing. Tatsu kept in there and looking like he was going to win this one, but nope, the veteran managed to get the submission win and that was that. Jericho wins a very competitive and dare I say, entertaining main event match.

Superstars was actually good this week. No, not great, but the main event and opening matches were well enough that I actually was entertained.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Results

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chavo Guerrero and MVP in a triple threat match
Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins defeated Matt Hardy & Christian
Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston
Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated JTG
The Big Show vs Jack Swagger (Double Countout)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/9/10 Review

Drew McIntyre was in ring and out came Teddy Long with a mic...another boring promo featuring the world's most boring wrestler ever. Drew McIntyre was calling Teddy, Mr. Long, and he was sucking up to the general manager big time. I was on the brink of falling asleep during this opening promo, as McIntyre has NO charisma and is as bland as a mayonaise sandwich on white bread...just sayin.

Teddy Long wanted Drew McIntyre to drop to his knees and ask for forgiveness. Drew did so and asked to get into the Money In The Bank Ladder match. Teddy Long made a match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston and if he wins, he's in. This promo took a good portion of the beginning of the show and was terribly dry and boring.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chavo Guerrero and MVP in a triple threat match

This match was interesting, because Ziggler and Chavo were supposed to be working together with Vickie. Vickie wanted Dolph to win but the WWE was trying to get the fans behind Chavo as the sympathetic wrestler by having him turn on Vickie in this match up. The crowd response wasn't that extreme, and it was hard to look over the fact that MVP was the obvious favorite in this match up. The match had some good spots, and broke down to the regular formula of Triple Threat Matches with 1 person getting thrown out of the ring only to leave two guys in ring. MVP was ready to win this one, but Vickie pulled the ref out when MVP had this thing completely won. Dolph Ziggler jumped MVP and lights out, Ziggler won and got into the Money in the Bank match up.

I liked the dynamic of Vickie being a good manager that is helping Dolph get into the match up. Guerrero's sympathetic heel/face turn was subtle at times and I'm not sure if the fans wanted that at all. The crowd reaction was nice throughout the high points and low points of this match. The worst part of the match was not the actual match, but rather the announce team. The Smackdown announce team is the WORST team in broadcasting wrestling. It seriously is the worst, and most boring commentary to listen to.

Backstage Rey Mysterio was told that he had a ligament tear in his Ankle. Dolph Ziggler jumped in and put Rey into the Ankle Lock, and no one was helping. This could be a good way of getting Rey to drop the title, and get written off the show as Swagger carryied the Ankle Lock and dragged Mysterio through the backstage area. He's done, Swagger is looking more and more ruthless, and Mysterio is out, he's completely out folks, and I guess I'm buying into it...man I'm a sucker.

Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins defeated Matt Hardy & Christian

Matt Hardy is fat. Christian is lacking in the Charisma department lately. Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins suck, and just don't have “it”, in my view. This was a fast match, and while there was a small amount of offense, it ended after Christian turned on Matt Hardy. He dragged Matt Hardy over the top rope by dragging his arm, and Vance Archer capitalized. Hawkins and Archer basically beat Matt Hardy as Christian turns heel on Matt Hardy.

Remember when the Intercontinental Champion automatically received a World Title Shot? They would always bill the matches as “Champion vs Champion” and make it a big deal? Those were the days.

Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston

Drew McIntyre couldn't beat Kofi in title matches, but to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match he can. This match wasn't all that good, and I didn't particularly find it very entertaining. Sure there were some of the usual spots, and after getting thrown into the ring post Drew hit the Future Shock DDT to win the match. Kofi is always good, but while wrestling a bland Drew McIntyre, he just couldn't carry him, in my opinion.

The Straightedge Society was airing their dirty laundry. I think Serena is hot. Punk forgave his fallen chick, and that was that. Man, that Southpark parody is so true in many ways. It's all drama...arg.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated JTG

Dashing Cody Rhodes is really making a name for himself beating up has been tag team wrestlers. Remember when it was big Shad's “TIME”, well it seems that JTG is getting more matches than the bigger man that was getting the solo push. JTG is ok, but he needs more than just the “Cryme Tyme” gimmick to go solo. I was impressed with the fast paced offense of JTG, I just don't see the WWE pushing him any time soon. Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, was making a major impact and he's gotten a lot better since being in Legacy, and it's nice to see him develop. He hit CrossRhodes and that was that, the clean win.

The Big Show vs Jack Swagger (Double Countout)

This match wasn't that great, but one thing I can always count on is seeing Big Show manhandle an opponent. I wouldn't want to work with Big Show, he seems to hit very hard. He was inflicting some major pain on Swagger and if the sound is any resemblance of the pain involved with getting hit by a tree trunk of a fist, then working with Big Show is no fun. Big Show forgot that his ankle was injured cause he turned the injury on and off throughout the match. This thing was even handed, and eventually had the two fighting on the ramp before Swagger kicked Show in the leg and left him in pain.

Backstage Kane grabbed Swagger and was blaming him for the Undertaker's vegetative state. Swagger was then put in a red room and Kane looked like he was going to molest the guy.

I'm sick of the Kane gimmick, this show had some lackluster matches, and just made me once again hate watching Smackdown. Good riddance when they are off of “Mytv” or whatever. I'm sick of this crap...I need a drink.

Swagger said he would prove that he didn't beat up Taker or whatever. WHO CARES!? Kane probably did it, and will face the Undertaker in a Hell in the Cell match or a buried alive match or something like that. I'm sick of this angle, I'm glad the week in wrestling is now over.

Stay tuned for my weekly recap and commentary including answering your comments and questions.

Rey Mysterio & Big Show defeated Jack Swagger & Cody Rhodes via DQ

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 7/2/10 Review

First and foremost, happy 4th of July to all 3 of you readers in the United States. To the rest of you, um...I don't know.

Anyone watching the World Cup? All my teams are out. Mexico, Argentina, England, United States, Paraguay, and Portugal are all out. Now I'm stuck cheering for any Spanish speaking country, but I have a sinking feeling that the Netherland will face off against Germany in the finals.

The Smackdown show started with a recap of CM Punk getting beat up from last week. Word on the street is that Punk is injured, Kane is getting a push, and I'm still looking for a guest blogger. That's right, before I continue, I need to make a call out to anyone that wants to help me with this site. I need someone to watch and review nxt and superstars, write a review of their thoughts, and collaborate with me to find more reasons to post. You won't get paid too much, but if the site starts making legit money, you're in for 50% of the revenue! I have a variety of methods to make money on the site, but none of them seem to be working right now, however, you might be able to help me generate more interest, comments, chats, and much more. Email me sirjorge AT gmail dot com if you're interested in writing wrestling commentary for a few bucks, or for free.

Jack Swagger opened up the show, and he reminds me of a guy that works at a jewelry store here in Moscow, Idaho. Swagger sucks, without a title, I don't care about his character, or his lisp. Big Show came out to interrupt Swaggers rant about how he can beat up Big Show. Big Show limped down to the ring and was ambushed by Dashing Cody Rhodes and Swagger in a two on one beat down. I like this new, more violent, Cody Rhodes.

Rey Mysterio ran down for the save on Big show, and show and Rey cleared the ring together.

Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler

Last year, Dolph Ziggler fought Rey Mysterio in a 5 star classic, now he's jobbing out to Kofi Kingston? Ok, he's not jobbing, but he's not exactly the same wrestler. This match wasn't half bad, it featured a good overall amount of action, which was interesting to note. Kofi's fast paced offense was quite good and stunned Ziggler keeping him out of the ring for a few parts of this match. The match picked up pace, and this thing was headed for a quality finish, I hoped, and it sure was. There were some great spots towards the end, and the crowd got into it. Kofi threw some nice high flying moments, and Ziggler's counters weren't half bad, but it was Kofi that got the upper hand and won the match. Kofi's been on another roll as of late, hopefully it continues. Isn't he from Ghana? Too bad about that Ghana team eh? That striker for Ghana is the new Gordon Bombay, eh? Eh? SOS! Kofi wins.

Christian's Peep Show was in ring with ladders all around. Fat Ass Matt Hardy was his guest and the two talked about the Money In The Bank Ladder match and ppv that is coming up. The two argued a little bit and started to brawl, or rather Christian attacked but was taken out by Hardy. I'm not sure why this match turned out this way, who's the good guy here? Hardy came across as a jerk, and he's fat, fatter than Mickie James, and yet they didn't fire Hardy yet.

A new segment for Del Rio, Alberto? A new wrestler that is coming to Smackdown? I haven't seen this type of introduction in a while, not since Kizarni! I don't know, if the guy can work, maybe it will be a good one.

Kane defeated Luke Gallows via DQ

I think this match ended in a disqualification. Luke Gallows did not get much offense until towards the end of the match. Kane was dominant for the most part, but I didn't care. Kane is no longer the big red machine to me, he's the big SLOW machine. Although I did pop for his “goozle”, I hate that word, and apparently chokeslams are PG. The secret member of the Straightedge Society interfered and that prompted CM Punk to get involved, if only to nearly get pummeled by Kane. The leading lady of the Straightedge society came in ring and saved Punk from getting mopped up.

Sarena got on the apron with a microphone, and she said that Punk was saving her, but Kane didn't believe, which prompted a video of Punk saving Sarena from what appears to be a bar? This was pretty lame, I haven't seen something so stupid in a while. Punk then cast out Sarena? I don't know, they are breaking up or something? Who cares, do you?

MVP is still employed? What the heck? He hasn't been relevant in a long time.

MVP defeated Chavo Guerrero

Wait, Chavo Guerrero is still employed? He got squashed by MVP in a quick match up. So sad to see Chavito Heat getting killed. Remember when he had quality matches in WCW against...oh right...Eddie Guerrero (RIP). This match sucked, just filler.

That Ricky Steamboat DVD set looks good. Maybe some of you might buy it via amazon lnks on this site. (please)

Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool still manages to be part of the women's championship, and it's boring to me. She hasn't been relevant to me in a while. She started out by beating up Tiffany on the outside of the ring. Layla is beautiful in person, I can attest to that, but I don't watch wrestling for the women, I watch it for “wrestling”. Remember when the divas had good wrestling? Remember when the knockout division was the best thing on TNA? Well that's just a memory, as this isn't very good. There were a few moments of aggression, which were interesting to note, but overall, this match wasn't nearly as good as anyone would expect. I'm pretty sure McCool could probably beat me up. Like anyone cares. Kelly Kelly won in a surprise of sorts, and that was that.

Another promo for Alberto Del Rio, and I like the guys promo, but if he can't wrestle, then I don't care.

Rey Mysterio & Big Show defeated Jack Swagger & Cody Rhodes via DQ

I'm tired of tag match main events from hot shot tag teams and feuds. Although, it was nice to see Dashing Cody Rhodes in the main event. The match was your standard tag team fare, and it featured a lot of action. Rey Mysterio was isolated, of course, as the weak champion that they always book him as. Swagger and Cody Rhodes were like a well oiled machine in ring, and that was nice to see. They fully had control over Mysterio in this match, and it looked like Mysterio was in for a loss, if you didn't know anything about wrestling. Jack Swagger refused to release the ankle lock on Mysterio and the match was over via DQ...I'm so tired of non-finishes in wrestling.

This week of wrestling wasn't thrilling, and I was more excited about the World Cup. The NXT angle needs to spill over to Smackdown, instead of just Raw, just like the New World Order did in WCW. Other than that, if you missed Smackdown, you didn't miss a whole lot. Once again, I'm sick of these non-finishes.

Smackdown ended with Big Show crying and apologizing about not being there for Mysterio, and Mysterio looked like he was injured.

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/28/10 Results

Christian & Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler
Luke Gallows defeated MVP
The Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre & Jack Swagger
CM Punk defeated Kane
The Undertaker defeated Rey Mysterio

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/28/10 Review

Teddy Long came out to the ring and started to dance. He came out to ringside and started to talk about the upcoming fatal four way ppv.

Drew McIntyre came out and pulled out yet another letter, and this sucked. The letter stated that Matt Hardy is suspended for interfering in Drew’s match.

Christian & Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler

The team of Dolph Ziggler and Chavo were getting completely out wrestled by Hornswoggle and Christian, well, mainly Christian. The little guy was getting thrown around like crazy. Christian hit a Killswitch and this thing was over fast. Christian worked his butt off in this match, despite the lackluster pairing.

Post match Dolph Ziggler was like a man possess, attacking Christian with a stick Sleeper Hold and putting Captain Charisma to sleep.

Luke Gallows defeated MVP

MVP put on his usual antics, but it was Luke Gallows and help from a hooded member of the Straightedge Society that won the match. Not exactly a technical classic, but what are ya gonna do?

The Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre & Jack Swagger

This match was actually entertaining. McIntyre and Swagger worked quite well together and were pushing the limits of Kofi. Big Show finally got a hot tag and cleared the ring, prompting the crowd to go nuts. Show was dominant, and he was plowing through the two youngsters. Drew McIntyre receives a huge right hand and it was over, Big Show pinned Drew and stared down Jack Swagger.

CM Punk, despite having his head shaved, showed up with none other than…a mask. Yes, a mask. He had a full mask that covered his head and eyes. It was scary to say the least.

CM Punk defeated Kane

CM Punk managed to survive a great deal of punishment from Kane, and without much interference, well…he still had some, he managed to pin the big red machine. Kane has been relegated to jobber status if you ask me. It’s funny to see him losing, especially since in past times, he was so good. Oh well, I guess that’s what happens when you get older in wrestling, you start to lose. Hopefully Kane can bounce back and he’ll get one more championship run? Maybe not.

The Undertaker defeated Rey Mysterio

This match was actually one of the highlights of smackdown. I was surprised that the two actually put on such an entertaining match. Rey took shot after shot at Undertaker and it was frustrating the big man for sure. After some blows, the dead man nearly killed Rey with counters, but Mysterio kept moving forward with his offensive fury. It was interesting to see how fast Undertaker was adapting to the offense of Rey Mysterio. I’m not sure who the fans wanted to cheer, as it was definitely split. The Undertaker managed to lose this one, but not without a valiant effort and the dead man busted open the hard way. Mysterio was dropped on his head and this thing was over, sadly. It was a three out of 5 star or at least 4 out of 5 star match up. I enjoyed it greatly.

ECW on ScyFy 1/5/10 Results and Review More Homecoming

ECW is a boring show for me. This week especially since I had to review 2 shows yesterday.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Kozlov
Cm Punk defeated Mark Henry

ECW on ScyFy 1/5/10 Review

Christian came out and cut a promo, Cm Punk interrupted him and cut another nice heel promo. It wasn’t half bad, and I liked the banter.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Chavo Guerrero

Did Benjamin just get a good match in with Chavo? Somewhat. Chavo Guerrero is one of the most under appreciated cruiserweights that WWE has. Benjamin dragged him through a good match, and I didn’t hate this one, but it wasn’t four stars by any stretch of the imagination, that’s for sure.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Kozlov

Yet again, we have a reset of this feud. I’m personally tired of it, just in case you weren’t. These two guys have no charisma against each other in the ring and it’s somewhat tiring to see. I am not a big fan of tough guy matches with little to no excitement in ring. This match was slow and boring, there’s no two ways about it. If you liked this match, you must really be pining for the 60’s era pro-wrestling days.

Cm Punk defeated Mark Henry

I don’t know what the WWE is doing with Mark Henry but he’s constantly losing. Once again he loses, but this time because of an assist from Luke Gallows. Punk wins another match, and he continues to win despite being one of the most hated wrestlers on Smackdown. Punk wrestled a good overall match with Henry, and the two were given a little time to develop something interesting. It ended swiftly and that was the show.

This show was alright, it was compact and fast. ECW is getting somewhat tiring for me though.
