WWE Smackdown August 9, 2016 Same Old BS Again

When the WWE announced the brand split, and they said that they would do things differently, I truly expected something different. What we got was the same old stuff, and if you saw Raw you saw it absolutely in front of your face. Smackdown was always the B show, and guess what? It’s the B show again. It was the same formulaic show that was boring at all ends, including the absolutely predictable ending. What should have been easy booking, was absolutely anything but. I’m absolutely bored by SMackdown Live, and here is a review of it.

WWE Smackdown August 9, 2016 Results

Chaos erupts between Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and The Wyatts
American Alpha def. local competitors
Becky Lynch vs. Eva Marie resulted in a No Contest; Alexa Bliss def. Becky Lynch
Randy Orton def. Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification
Rhyno def. Heath Slater to deny The One Man Band a SmackDown Live contract
Carmella def. Natalya
Baron Corbin attacked Kalisto backstage
Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler def. Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan

WWE Smackdown August 9, 2016 Review

As you already know, I’m not going to run down the show in the same way that I used to do. I don’t want to be comprehensive because the show is not worth comprehensive analysis. Plus, there are a lot of shows that already do that, and I’m not one of those people that is going to go deep into this. So with that in mind, here are the things that stuck out for me.

A New Era!

Straight Up Tag Team Match - Teddy Long Segment

I hate the openings of shows that have talking. Why? It’s like Southpark once again is making fun of the show, but this is supposed to be a new era. All that was missing from the opening melee was Teddy Long. I was hoping he’d come out and announce that we were getting a Straight Up Tag Team Match. You knew this was going to happen, and well we get it as the main event. Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose against The Wyatts, whom never win a damn match!

American Alpha is overrated.

The Women's Division Sucks

The women’s division is a joke. Alexa Bliss comes in and wins. Eva Marie is a joke. Becky Lynch gets buried, and all of this happened within 10 minutes of the show. This was stupid. The whole women’s division in the WWE is starting to look a lot like the Divas division. The same stuff you remember from when Michelle McCool’s diva’s championship reign is exactly how they’re booking the women’s division right now. .

Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification

I’m supposed to believe that Randy Orton can stop a roided out Brock Lesnar? Nope. Not if he’s having match after match on Smackdown and he’s having a hard time pulling through. He should be winning with ease, and showing that he’s dominant on Smackdown. Instead, he’s going back and forth with Alberto Del Rio. Much respect to Alberto Del Rio, but man, they are underusing him completely. I guess that paycheck is nice though.

Carmella defeated Natalya

This match was a stinker. Carmella and Natalya just don’t mesh well, and Carmella is trying really hard to be the female Enzo Amore and she isn’t. It was very forced and unnatural. I didn’t like it. The debut was ok, but again, a short match, with a fast ending. I didn’t care for it.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

Rhyno def. Heath Slater to deny The One Man Band a SmackDown Live contract

I like Heath Slater’s comedy here. He lost though, but the skits he was in trying to get a contract were great. I don’t know if the WWE is going to let him stick around, but he may be the last active wrestler from the Nexus. It’s sad that out of all those dudes, only Heath Slater is left. But you know what, he’s a one man rock band! I am cheering for the guy, but he’s not going far, I don’t think. Maybe Cody Rhodes will wrestle him when he gets booted. I mean, not EVERYONE is meant to be champion, not even the RHODES brothers.

Match Rating: 1 out of 5

These Two Idiots are Facing Each Other At Summerslam, Who Gives a Flying FU@!

Dean Ambrose &  Dolph Ziggler def. Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan

This was so predictable, that I didn’t finish watching it. I’m all for wrestling, and I’m still writing about it here, but come on. I can’t even suspend disbelief when you telegraph the ending so hard. You knew this wasn’t going to be a Wyatt victory, and it wasn’t. What a lackluster showcase.

WWE Smackdown 6/23/2016 Results and Review The Feminists Will Hate This Show

WWE Smackdown came to Tucson, Arizona, home of the biggest cult I’ve ever been involved with The Potter’s House. Anyways, they have some of the best food down there. On this night of wrestling, however, the B show didn’t seem low, as there were some great matches, and moments. Here we go a review break down of sorts.

Seth Rollins opened the show, got interrupted by Sami Zayn to set up a match later, only to get interrupted by Dean Ambrose for the Ambrose Asylum show. We were also introduced to David Otunga on the commentary team, so that’s something.

Cesaro defeated Alberto Del Rio

I like Del Rio. I love that he calls everyone perro, great guy. This match was good, short, but sweet. Cesaro put Del Rio through the ringer, and picked up a sick victory. This may be match of the night, but we’re just getting started folks. What a cool little match. You should check this one out no doubt.

Sheamus defeated Apollo Crews by Countout

This match wasn’t much of a match, Sheamus got the win via count out, enough said.

Aj Styles defeated Jimmy Uso

Aj Styles is a beast. However, I don’t get why they booked him to allow Jimmy to have so much offense. They didn’t do that courtesy for John Cena and Karl Anderson. Did you see Anderson get buried on Monday? Odd.

The New Day defeated The Vaudevillains

I wasn’t paying that close attention to this match, but what I can tell you is that The New Day basically buried The Vaudevillains, simple as that.

The Wyatt’s had a promo. I’m sure they are the next champions, done and done.

Dana Brooks defeated Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch lost in this fast match. Is this what the Divas Revolution was all about/ If this is the booking that the WWE is going to put through, I’m not really a fan. Sasha Banks showed up. Have you noticed that the WWE pushes good looking women? That really upsets the feminists out there. But hey, that’s just me. Maybe some feminazis from Twitter can start their own blog and post 1300 posts, and then say something. Oh wait, they won’t. They can’t. They will just talk on Twitter and assume I’m an idiot. This was boring. I’m not a Sasha Banks fan, she’s injury prone.

Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn

In one hell of a match Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn. This was match of the week, no doubt, and it was absolutely good to see it happen. Rollins was incredible here, and Zayn was able to really turn things around several times. I loved it. You have to check this one out, it will no doubt be on a top 10 list sooner than later.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 10

While there was a good main event, and a nice opener, this was a boring show otherwise. There just wasn’t enough clout to get this one into the books. Zayn and Rollins, what a showcase. Low point, the women’s division.

WWE Smackdown 6/17/2016 Results and Review Same Old BS

WWE Smackdown 6/17/2016 Results and Review

Here we go, the ever so popular B show continues, and boy does it smell like yesterday’s news. It’s honestly one of the worst shows that WWE produces, and it’s no wonder that guys like Solomonster don’t review it at all. Is anyone watching? Does anyone like the fake cheers and jeers that are piped in? I don’t know, I personally don’t.

The Highlight Reel returned and the guest, sigh, Dean Ambrose. This turned into a brawl after someone spilled coffee on Jericho’s new rug. Whatever, I’m tired of these stupid idiots.

Kofi Kingston won a fatal four way match

Members of each team from this weekend’s tag team title match were featured in this match, and it was Kofi Kingston that won after a lot of back and forth action. Enzo was on commentary with Xavier, and it worked out well on that end. Good fun match, but it was Kofi with the win, heading into the Money In The Bank event this weekend. Great commentary, more than the in ring work.

Baron Corbin defeated Zack Ryder

Ryder got buried, simple. Ziggler was on commentary and the two nearly went to blows.

Rusev defeated Kalisto

Rusev beat down Kalisto, and won. That’s it. A burial right? Fun.

Aj Styles defeated Xavier Woods

Ever wonder why Aj Styles, despite a bad back, continues to wrestle on EVERY show that the WWE pushes out? John Cena doesn’t. Roman Reigns doesn’t. Lame. Anyways, Styles wins this one, in a back and forth match with Xavier Woods. This just makes Styles look weak in my book. If Woods can go toe to toe against Styles, what does that mean for the match against Cena? Think about that for a moment. Styles can’t even put away Woods with ease. He won, but not looking too strong in defeat, just saying.

Cesaro, Sami Zayn, and Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho

I feel like I’ve already seen this match 100 times before. Therefore this was fun, but nothing new. You can already picture what this match was like, no doubt. It was a fun, fast paced match, and definitely worth checking out, if you have nothing else to watch. I liked it enough, that’s for sure.

WWE Monday Night Raw 6/13/2016 Results and Review The Revolution Is Here

What is the definition of Revolution?

An instance of revolving. Synonyms include turn, single turn, rotation, circle, spin, and 180 degrees.

That is what Raw is wright now. It’s fully spun around to the same old BS that everyone hates, and this is a prime example of how far we have come to a terrible resolution of wrestling. But hey, it’s Raw, it’s the flagship show, let’s see what happened on the HULU edition no less.

WWE Monday Night Raw 6/13/2016 Results

The New Day showed up to star the show after a moment of silence for Orlando. They made fun of the new Steph Curry shoe, then got interrupted by Enzo and Cass. You know, let’s start Raw with 30 minutes of talking, instead of wrestling.

“Kofi are you serious with those Jerry Seinfeld joints you have on there?”

Quote of the Night!!!!

The Vaudevillains and The Club Sandwich Boys defeated The New Day and Enzo and Cass

This was a good opening match, lots of great back and forth, with no one looking to dominant. Of course the New Day would take the fall here, making them look vulnerable heading into Money in The Bank. Not a bad match by any means, but I have a feeling that New Day may in fact get away with this one yet again.

The Ambrose Asylum sucked. The Shield is ok, I never bought into their hype. Plus, as I recall, CM PUNK beat them 3 on 1! These guys suck, Ambrose is supposed to be the lunatic fringe and yet he’s here doing nothing but watching two idiots talking to each other. SAME OLD SHI….you know. Waste of time.

Paige defeated Charlotte (non title)

Anyone that thought that there would be a Divas Revolution should shut their big fat faces. I called it! Less than 5 minutes for this match, and it’s all the same, same old BS treatment of the women’s division. Who gives a flying you know what? Not me.

Sami Zayn defeated Cesaro

I’m not sure if this match was longer for the broadcast, but the HULU version was fast, condensed, and well, lacked anything that I would call an epic. It short, fast, and Zayn won. I don’t know much else, but it was not as great as people on Twitter were talking about.

Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens defeated The Lucha Dragons

This match was the best one on Raw. There was a major story told between Del Rio and Owens, in which they couldn’t get along. Earlier in the show Owens snitched on Del Rio being late. It was fun. The whole match and segments with Owens is good, and the story moves along. He’s quite the story teller.

Dean Ambrose defeated Chris Jericho

The rest of the Money In The Bank guys were at ringside doing various jobs, making this watchable. Dean Ambrose finally won, but at this point, who cares? The guys in the MITB match came in and started doing their finishers, and that’s that.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 10

This was not a good show. I wouldn’t watch this again. While the ending was good, and the story of Owens and Del Rio was good, the rest was a lot of wasted time to me. I know that Cena is going to bury, Stephanie and Shane will argue, and I just don’t care right now. This show was half garbage, so it gets 5 out of 10 suckers. Oh and no I didn't mark out for Corporate Kane coming back.

WWE Smackdown 6/9/2016 Results and Review The B Show Continues

Smackdown is the B show. You know it, I know it. Solomonster from the Solomonster Sounds Off podcast knows it, and yet here we are reviewing it yet again. Before the jump to Tuesday nights, and live, here is a breakdown of the show from last night, and not a moment too soon, I’m sure. Next week it’s Money In The Bank in Vegas. I wish I could go, I wanted to, and hit up my homies at 100proof Las Vegas, but I just don’t have any money. It sucks to be broke.

WWE Smackdown 6/9/2016 Results

Aj Styles and the Club Sandwich boys came out and cut a promo about how they want to dominate, and how they were able to win, whatever. I wish I had a real club sandwich.

Enzo and Cass came out, and their reception was lower than I had expected. So much so that you could hear the piped in cheers, which is just off putting.

Enzo and Cass versus The Club Sandwich Boys

This match was back and forth, and eventually broke down into a brawl with The New Day and vaudevillains showing up to mess things up. Nothing great here. DQ finish

Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn and Cesaro

We’ve seen this so many times, that this almost doesn’t matter at all. This became a single’s match for a moment as Zayn and Owens left the match. The match broke down a few times due to Owens and Del Rio not getting along, but overall, not a terrible match. There was a lot of action, but you’ve already saw this many times before. The bad guys win in this one.

Becky Lynch defeated Dana Brooke

Not a bad match, but not exactly an epic one either. It was ok, Lynch wins.

Baron Corbin defeated Kalisto

Remember when Kalisto was relevant? This wasn’t it, short match, Corbin wins again.

Chris Jericho defeated Dean Ambrose

Jericho buries Dean, enough said. BURIED!

Overall Rating: 2 out of 10

Terrible Smackdown Show, you can miss it.

WWE Smackdown 6/2/2016 Results and Review One Good Match

Another Smackdown came and went, and well, my stomach hurt. So I saw this, but didn’t pay as close of attention as I usually would, so this review comes with a side of intestinal distress.

WWE Smackdown 6/2/2016 Results and Review

The New Day showed up to start the show, and I hate talking openings. They get interrupted by The Club Sandwich guys. Then set up a match for later between Kofi Kingston and Aj Styles.

Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte via DQ

Becky Lynch came out, and I couldn’t help but notice that the WWE is piping in cheers for her, because the crowd wasn’t big on this. In fact, the more you listen to the Smackdown audio, the more you hear post production cheers when they would normally not get heard. It’s a sad state. The sound guys are getting whipped backstage, no doubt. Charlotte lost due to Dana Brook interference.

Natalya showed up and ran away the champ and her new buddy. That was that. I’m still waiting for this diva’s revolution because all I see is the same stale booking that made the “divas” division so boring.

The Dudley Boyz defeated The Golden Truth

Not a terrible match, not a good match, the match! I kid. This wasn’t terrible, but you knew what was going down. The Dudleys win, finally.

Google Sniper Teaches How To Make Money Online

Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio

I never understand the WWE’s latest crop of stars constantly doing suicide dives through the middle ropes. It’s dangerous, and everyone does it, so why it is special? This match was as good as you’d expect from these guys, and definitely a fun thing to watch. What bugged me about the show is the post production audio that is like watching a sitcom. It’s terrible. Other than that, good work, great back and forth, and a classic story of whether or not these teams can coexist, considering they are going to be wrestling one another at Money In The Bank. Of course, they couldn’t, and Del Rio knocked out Owens, before Zayn won after the HELLUVA kick on Del Rio.

After the match Kevin Owens was going to pull down the Money In The Bank briefcase but Cesaro came down and did it for him, after a really cool mid-rope twisting European Uppercut, in a SUIT no less. Cool spot.

Rusev defeated Jack Swagger

Swagger is still employed? Rusev wins, Swagger got some fight in, but it was Rusev that won yet again. I’m sure his feud with one half of the prime time players will come through and make him worth watching. Whatever. I don’t like Rusev. Boring match.

Aj Styles defeated Kofi Kingston

Good main event, P good even. Aj Styles picks up the win, but The New Day made The Club Sandwich guys look like a chump outside as they were beat up. Other than that, Kofi and Styles put together a good overall match, worth tracking down.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 10

The main event saved this one. Like most Smackdown shows, the main event was the only thing worth investing into, the rest, dull as usual. Maybe the brand split will bring new hype, but until then, this is kind of boring.

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/30/2016 John Cena To Bury Aj Styles Next

Well, well, Monday Night Raw time again, and again I am watching it via HULU. I just completed a class for my master’s degree in Humanities and have just one left. We’ll see how it all goes. So let’s consider the showcase of Raw on Memorial Day, for no apparent reason.

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/30/2016 Results and Review

Moment of silence and bell salute for Memorial Day started off the show. Classy WWE, classy.

The show started with the McMahon siblings showing up and talking about the draft. They were interrupted by none other than The New Day, and they wanted to know who gets to go where and what not. The New Day wanted a dance contest to figure out who would be in charge of Raw or Smackdown. Stephanie was going to dance, but out came the Vaudevillains.

The New Day defeated The Vaudevillains via disqualification

This match wasn’t half bad, a good back and forth match with lots of momentum going for the New Day. However, mid-match out came the Club sandwich guys, and they beat up The New Day. That led to a DQ finish. No finish is what I call it. The Club took out the tag champs, so I guess they are going to be booked to possibly get the titles, then lose them to the Usos because of course, Roman Reigns buried these guys already. Oh well.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns Wasted Everyone’s Time

These idiots didn’t do much, say much and wasted all your time. Rollins kept running to the ring and stopping, and Reigns was in the middle of the ring. Ugh, what a load of garbage.

Michael Cole said, and I quote: “Rollins is going to need to fight Roman Reign” No S! What the hell!

Rusev defeated Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder got buried again. I wish I could get paid to lose. I’d lose daily. Not much of a match.

Titus O’neil showed up to challenge Rusev, this is the next feud. Sigh.

Enzo and Cass defeated The Dudley Boyz

The crowd was a bit tired in this match. The match was fine, back and forth, with The Dudleys doing the job for the young guys. It’s too predictable if you ask me. Competitive, sure, but you knew that Enzo and Cass wasn’t winning, simple as that.

John Cena cut a patriotic promo. Yep. Oh well. Tired.

Aj Styles came out, and turned heel, but let’s admit it here, AJ STYLES WILL BE BURIED BY JOHN CENA. Done and done. Styles beat up Cena, and I’m meh about all of this.

Chris Jericho, Alberto Del Rio, and Kevin Owens defeatedSami Zayn, Cesaro, and Dean Ambrose

I got déjà vu in this match. Do all Raw’s have to end with a six man? Or is it the Smackdown formula coming through again. Whatever the case is, this was fun to watch, but I just felt like I’ve seen it 100 times before. The good guys win, enough said. Boring to me, since I’ve seen it a million times before.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 10

This was not my favorite show. It had a little wrestling, but mind you, I’m watching the HULU version. I can’t afford cable. There was a few moments that were interesting, but overall, this match needed something more, not sure what, something a bit more helpful in creating a better overall wrestling feel. Then again, maybe they should hire the acrobats from NJPW since they are getting a lot of fanfare right now.

WWE Smackdown 5/26/2016 Results and Review The End of Mixed Branding

I am delayed in reviewing, as I’m doing some routine marketing things to try and boost traffic for the site, and well I didn’t catch Smackdown until now. The opening alone made me not want to watch, Michael Cole interviewed Dean Ambrose about Money in The Bank ppv. I’m already bored.

WWE Smackdown 5/26/2016 Results and Review

Dean Ambrose mouthed off about how he is the most extreme, etc. This is the lunatic? No thanks. Somewhere, Brian Pillman is wishing he had another chance to come back to wrestling. Kevin Owens showed up to talk randomly about crap, then Sami Zayn comes out and talks about Wrestlemania and what not. 20 minutes of B.S. if you ask me.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Zack Ryder

Well, this was the end for Ryder. Alberto Del Rio picked up the win, even though Ryder in no way was completely buried outright. Ryder put some offense in, but it wasn’t meant to be, as Ryder got beat yet again. No one was surprised by this, no one.

Enzo and Cass challenged The Dudleys, but it won’t happen until Raw. Boring waste of time if you ask me.

Rusev defeated Kalisto

The end of the line for Kalisto, this was his rematch for the United States championship, and well, it was all over before it could get going. Ok match, but nothing grand, that’s all. Competitive match, none the less, Kalisto got beat.

After the match Titus O’neil showed up and challenged Rusev, which was fine, but eh, nothing special. I guess he’s next.

Natalya versus Dana Brooks

This match didn’t go very long. Charlotte interfered and caused a no-finish. Charlotte beats up Natalya, and that’s that? I guess that’s the end of the feud? I don’t know, don’t care, this diva’s revolution is nothing short of boring, sorry.

There are so many flashbacks to Raw that this show just drags on. I don’t like it.

Aj Styles interviewed, and well, he looked defeated, this is the end of the burial of Aj Styles if you ask me.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango defeated R Truth and Goldust (Golden Truth)

Minor match, nothing big. Boring if you ask me. Smackdown is not a great show, just saying.

Seth Rollins showed up, cut a limited promo and then left. Nothing big here.

The Miz defeated Cesaro

A great overall main event for Smackdown, as these two work well together. Cesaro's shoulder was worked on, and in the end, The Miz took him out thanks to a turnbuckle that was removed by Maryse. Overall, this was the best match of the night, and possibly of the week! Great fun, great match, nice to see this type of wrestling for the intercontinental championship. Soak it in, you won't see this in the brand split, I can't believe they are doing that.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 10

Good matches, nope, good entertainment? Not really. This was a lousy show with a good main event, that's it.

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/16/2016 Results and Review What A Terrible Show

Image SRC WWE (Styles Belly Fat)

The WWE keeps saying that this is a new Era, but honestly, it’s just the same old crap recycled over and over again. How do I know this? Well, because Aj Styles cut a long promo about how he’s going to beat Reigns, and then Reigns said he was going to win, and this took up most of the beginning. This of course is the HULU edition I’m talking about as per usual.

Ok, so that wasn’t half bad, but we are led into a match that turns into an intercontinental tag team match.

WWE Monday Night Raw 5/16/2016 Results and Review
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Miz and Cesaro

These guys are always fun to watch, and this was definitely cool to watch for the most part. The match was fast paced, and showcased the best of these 4, only cut short. The match ended when The Miz got pinned. Fair enough.

Dean Ambrose decided to challenge Chris Jericho to a Bowery Death Match, I mean A steel cage match with weapons, they are calling it an Asylum Match. Raven already did this, and way better!

The New Day showed up with a time machine and went back in time, which was boring. The Vaudevillains showed up and beat them up.

The Usos Buried The Club

So why am I supposed to believe that the Club are any good? They just got buried on Raw. This is how you put over talent? By having them buried outright on Raw? The Club is nothing more than a bunch of chumps, simple as that.

Afterwards The Club attacked Roman Reigns, and Aj Styles got involved. Then things went into chaos, and the best of this was that Styles hit Roman Reigns with the STYLES CLASH on a CHAIR! YES! This was a cool spot, but as we all know, it’s all about making Roman Reigns look strong so he’ll no doubt bounce back and win at Extreme Rules.
Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto

Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto

Alberto Del Rio was beating up Kalisto, and it wasn’t half bad of a match. But things got sinister when Rusev beat up Sin Cara backstage and forced Sin Cara to watch on the big screen. Meanwhile, this was a match going on. Alberto Del Rio won with the back stabber, and that was that. Champs are chumps. Rusev continued to beat up Sin Cara at ring side, and that was that. I’m tired of the champions aside from Roman Reigns looking weak.

Charlotte and Natalya had a contract signing. I hate these. I absolutely hate these. This just sucks up a lot of time for no reason. Oh and WHERE IS SASHA BANKS? So much for being THE BOSS. So much for the divas revolution. Do you know what revolution means? It’s cyclical. Stephanie is a face now? She slaps Ric Flair, and Charlotte attacks only to get hit with a sharpshooter. I’m so tired, this is dragging on, what a lousy way to waste time on Raw. This is the HULU version and it’s just so lame.

Overall Rating: 0 out of 10

This is by far one of the worst nights for Raw. This is the new era? Bullshit. This is the worst Raw I’ve seen in a long time. Ugh.

WWE Monday Night Raw 4/26/2016 Results and Review Shane Still Runs The Show

Again, yes again, Shane McMahon is in charge. Why even have the Hell In A Cell match? This logic thing is stupid, but hey, that’s what you get right? Out comes Shane, and here we go, another week of Raw, and I’m pumped. I just got back from Spokane, Washington to hang out with a dear friend of mine, and play some poker. Now I’m back in Indianapolis, hanging out, making buttons, and enjoying a little bit of the high life. So here is the break down of the Monday Night Raw HULU edition, since I don’t have cable. Images via WWE.COM

WWE Monday Night Raw 4/26/2016 Results and Review

Stephanie McMahon showed up to interrupt Shane, and the two talked about how this was the last night for Shane. Stephanie than dropped the bomb shell that this Sunday, Vince McMahon would detail who would be in charge of the WWE. Security came down and escorted Stephanie McMahon out, to uproarious cheers. BY the way, I’d like to just say that Stephanie is absolutely beautiful. Just saying. Stunning. For a mother of several children, she has such a great body, and well, that’s awesome. According to the Triple H dvd, she works out daily, and of course, she has the resources to get it done. This was a really cool segment with Stephanie getting carted out by Security, aka Indie Wrestlers.

Aj Styles defeated Sheamus

In the first time ever meeting, this match really showcased a good match. The two went for it, but it was Sheamus that was getting the upper hand for the most part. However, Styles, picked up the win with a little psychology. Missing the Brogue kick, Sheamus fell backwards and boom the Phenomenal Forearm knocked his ass out, letting Styles pick up the win before Gallows and Anderson came to the ramp to see what’s up. Styles has been on fire since coming into the WWE, even though Jericho buried him.

The WWE Tag Team tournament continued a bit, with promos getting cut by The New Day, The Vaudevillains and Enzo and Cass. It was ok, nothing too exciting. No action.

Gallows and Anderson's New Gear Is Like Nasty Boys 2.0

Gallows and Anderson defeated The Usos

Why did the team of Gallows and Anderson look like The Nasty Boys? Just saying. Nasty Boys 2.0, you heard it here first. This was an ok match, not what I expected, but hey, not everything can be a technical masterpiece, right? Overall, good flow, and of course The Bullet Club wins.

Roman Reigns easily took care of the Bullet Club after the match, in my view, burying them. Ok, maybe not, but come on. It would’ve looked way better of the Bullet Club beat down Reigns, but you know he’s the new Superman.

Sami Zayn defeated Rusev

Rusev controlled most of this match, and it was entertaining. However, Zayn wins with a random roll up ala 1992 WCW. I didn’t like the finish, but the rest of the match had some good points.

Ambrose came out to cut a promo on Jericho. Jericho came out and ranted, as usual. Another boring segment. I hate these. Jericho got the best of Ambrose, and gave him the Walls of Jericho on the announcer’s table. Yep. Nothing to see here folks.

As much as I liked the Chyna video tribute. Let’s not forget that the WWE, and Triple H specifically buried her many times in interviews and even in podcasts. This type of hypocrisy by the WWE is stupid, and disingenuous to the fact that Chyna was not well loved in the WWE before she died. I’m sorry, I can’t get behind this. WWE’s revisionist history is insane. RIP Chyna, sorry for the disingenuous attitudes. I wish people showed you love before you died, perhaps it would’ve helped more.

Aj Styles Getting Blasted While The Nasty Boys 2.0 Look On

Roman Reigns defeated Alberto Del Rio

So Roman buries Alberto Del Rio, oh well. The match was boring, the crowd wasn’t into it. Aj Styles comes out after Gallows and Anderson come down to fight Roman Reigns, only to get Superman Punched for his help. The question is, like the classic WCW world, is Aj Styles in collusion with The bullet Club? Well, A Phenomenal Forearm knocked out Reigns, so maybe he is in cahoots? I don’t know? Collusion? I don’t know. We’ll see at Payback, right?

Overall Rating: 5 out of 10

The Hulu edition of Raw had a lot more talking and promos than they had wrestling. I would prefer more wrestling, but hey, that’s me. It’s nice to see new matches, and Payback should be interesting, although Roman is going over. Simple as that.

WWE Smackdown 4/14/2016 Results and Reviews First Time Matches For Once

WWE Smackdown has come and gone, and it was live from San Diego, California! The opening showed Maryse bringing out The MIz for MIZ TV. The Miz sucks, but I guess that means he’ll get heat. Maryse is hot as hell. Enough said. IMG SRC wwe.com

Baron Corbin defeated Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder showed up and wanted a match, but instead he had to battle Baron Corbin, and well, that didn’t end well. The match wasn’t half bad, albeit short. Corbin got the win, and it was cool to see the End of Days finisher yet again. Ryder’s on a downward spiral, but at least he got a Wrestlemania moment, right?

Emma defeated Paige

Not a terrible match. Paige is getting buried lately. Not sure why. Maybe it’s because she was a “diva” for so long.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass defeated The Ascension

The Ascension is done, simple as that. They have been buried and buried. This was a fast paced match, good action, and it was Enzo and Cass that got the win to move on in the tag title tournament. I liked it a lot, great action, fun stuff here.

Aj Styles defeated Alberto Del Rio

This was one hell of a match. Del Rio and Styles work well together, and each moment towards the end was definitely a war. Styles and Del Rio are so crisp here, holy crap. This is the type of hard hitting, fast paced wrestling that should be featured all the time with WWE. With wrestling like this, podcasters that only review 1 show will absolutely need to start looking into what the WWE is doing. This was an outstanding match up in my view, with Del Rio showcasing how much he’s improved. If you are going to watch one match this week, check this one out for the inverted superplex, holy crap!

The Vaudevillains defeated Fandango and Goldust

This was a short match, and didn’t really do much for the tournament. It was fast, not a burial, but not great. Fandango can wrestle, Goldust still has it, but hey, it’s time to put over the new guys, right? That’s all this was. The Vaudevillains move on in the tournament.

Sami Zayn defeated Chris Jericho by Disqualification

This was a good overall match, with lots of back and forth. However, Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens broke things up and the match was over. Overall a nice match up, ruined by Kevin Owens breaking into the match to beat up Zayn. Good thing Ambrose was on commentary, and that’s that.

WWE TLC 2015 Results and Review Stone Cold Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns Lost, But Beat The Hell Out of Sheamus - SRC WWE.Com
WWE TLC ran through PPV and the WWE Network last night, and I haven’t been so excited to see a show in a long time. Albeit, I wasn’t too thrilled before the show, but when it came time for the lights to dim and the curtains to open on the showcase, I was ready with a large pizza and a bottle of whiskey to wash it down. I can truly say that this was the best PPV of 2015 in my opinion. You may not get that from several podcasts that recapped the show. Especially the shows like Wrestling Soup, which took a dump on a lot of the shows main pieces. Why even watch or do a podcast if you don’t even like what you’re watching? Whatever, lots of negativity out there, but I remain positive, because I loved the show, and that’s that. Here’s a few of my thoughts coming out of the show.

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/2/2015 Results and Review

WWE New Day - SRC WWE.COM
The opening of the show from Denver, Colorado featured Roman Reigns on the MIC. He sucks on the MIC, don’t give him a MIC! Then Rollins came out and the two jarred, before the authority established the main event. Oh well, boredom. Remember, this review is only highlights of what I liked or remember, not an in depth discussion, since some of the stuff is too boring to talk about.

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/2/2015 Results

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler
Cesaro defeated The Miz
The Lucha Dragons defeated King Barrett and Sheamus
Alberto Del Rio defeated R Truth
Paige defeated Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Brie Bella in a fatal 4 way
The Usos, Dean Ambrose, Ryback and Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins, The New Day, and Kevin Owens in a traditional Survivor’s Series Match

WWE Monday Night Raw 11/2/2015 Review

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler

The match was good, Owens does very well when he wrestles someone that can bump. Dolph is always a great wrestler, and I’ve said that since 2009. Owens gets a win thanks to Tyler Breeze’s distraction, which should pan out to a Ziggler match and possibly a shot at the Intercontinental Title eventually. Gotta love the fall away slam into the barricade, that’s a nice twist. Tyler Breeze and Dolph fought a bit after, setting up what will no doubt be the next feud that the two will have. Owens is left with finding new opponents for that IC title.

Cesaro defeated The Miz

The Miz is still employed? Good For him. Cesaro won an ok match, nothing to write about here. Miz loses, and that’s it.

Bray Wyatt sucks. Great promo for a guy that loses EVERY match that matters. I don’t get it. Oh well.

Paige defeated Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Brie Bella in a fatal 4 way

By far one of the best women’s wrestling match I’ve seen on Raw. I thought it was grand. There were a lot of great moments here. Paige is ok, but I didn’t want her to win, obviously. Paige did manage to eek out a win here, and will go on to fight Charlotte at the next ppv. I can’t say enough about how great this match was. It was lengthy, there were a lot of good points, even though the start seemed to be at half-speed. Once it got started, though, things picked up and the women really put on a show. Brie took a serious knee to the face, Banks and Lynch really took some bumps, and well, Paige wins, and that’s that.

The Usos, Dean Ambrose, Ryback and Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins, The New Day, and Kevin Owens in a traditional Survivor’s Series Match

Not a terrible main event at all. However, I’m tired of seeing Rollins looking so much like a coward. When will we have a “strong” champion booked? I still don’t like Reigns. Where’s Lesnar, anyways? Shouldn’t he be in the title picture? Logic gets thrown out the window. As far as the match, it was a good one.

Raw is too long. I’ll say that much. Even recorded on my DVR, I had to dedicate quite a lot to watch this thing. It’s just too much, and just not as grand. That’s the end of my review of sorts, I’ll see if I can watch Smackdown as I try to resurrect this site from the undead.

WWE Monday Night Raw Review

I've been working really hard lately, and for those 2 readers out there that still follow this blog I'm sorry to let you down. I am a freelance writer so if I don't write for others I don't get to pay my rent. I finally had time to settle down and write a review about wrestling.

The night saw a lot of great things, well only a few great things and a lot of garbage.

Ric Flair returned and got into a scuffle with CM Punk which prompted a great deal of fan reaction, the Shield came out to beat him up, and I was wondering why JBL didn't jump in and help. Flair has to come back and beat the crap out of the Shield, I'd pay money to see that, but something tells me that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Tommy Dreamer showed up and his team up with The Miz and Alberto Del Rio mopped up 3MB which was awesome! I loved seeing that mess.

The rest of the night was ok, and the story lines continue to be the same old rubbish.

Sorry to cut this short, I have to get back to work.

WWE Monday Night Raw 12/3/12 Review

img src wwe.com

I was finally able to sit down and watch some Raw while I ate a quesadilla for breakfast. That’s a step up from my usual breakfast of 3 cups of coffee and nothing else. The show is now on HULU for those of you that don’t have cable, which is awesome.

The show was ok, there were some highlights, and if you ask me, it wasn’t a terrible show. However, I did find out that CM PUNK is having emergency knee surgery and could be dropping the title as a result! Yep.

I’m not a news guy, so I won’t bug you with those details.

Best Match

The Fatal Fourway for the United States championship blew me away. For a television match, they really did put on a good show, and you would truly believe that each competitor had a good shot of winning the matchup. I especially liked the finish, even though most people aren’t liking Cesaro that much.

Worst Match

Divas. Word on the street is that there will be no more “divas” division once Triple H takes over completely.

Weird Moment

The Miz came out and turned face in a very awkward moment. Punk and Heyman surely did their best to make it more poignant, and the crowd even started chanting Walrus at one point.

I’ve read that Miz and Punk do NOT like each other in the backstage area, so it will see if this matchup of two guys will mesh. As for Punk, his surgery might keep him out, who knows.

The rest of the show was solid, I have no major complaints this week. I was able to enjoy it, and that’s what matters most about wrestling. The day I don’t enjoy anything, I’ll stop doing this site completely.

One last thing, if you are going to shop on amazon.com, click HERE and bookmark and shop. It’ll help me continue to write, and pay for HULU to get the shows. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

WWE Raw Review 11/26/2012

Once again Raw was live and for those of us without Cable we had to wait 24 hours for it to appear on Hulu Plus. It's awesome! Anyways, the show went off with some moments of cool and a lot of filler even if the shortened 90 minute version left out some things.

I for one can't believe how bad things are getting in the WWE. The matches are ok at best, but they are wasting a lot of talent and are moving slowly across several levels.

My favorite things throughout the night were definitely The Shield helping Punk and then saying that they aren't working for punk, only to be on his side later in the night.

Outside of some cool matches between Ryback and Titus O'Neil, Mysterio and Bryan and some highlight spots here and there, the show just seemed tired.

The utter most bad stuff is the Aj and Cena stuff, what a waste of time.

Punk vs Ryback for the title is going to be awesome at the TLC ppv, but I do not have the money to buy it...sigh.

Raw was ok at best, if you liked it, let me know why. As for me, the show just seemed to slowly wind down to boredom. I'll admit though, there were some good matches, not great, but good, maybe because I got to see them without having to pay Time Warner $200! Yeah BOY!

WWE Raw 11/12/12 Review

I don't have much of a review. I didn't get to see all of raw because my dvr was acting up. What I did see was the same repetitive, stupid and boring wrestling.

There is nothing worth noting on this night, it's the same old bs. THe same matches, the same results, ugh...I'm so sick of the same match ups over and over and over again.

If you liked it, let me know, I don't know, I'm really getting jaded.

WWE Raw Review of Sorts 5/5/12

img src wwe.com

Raw was not at all what I thought it would be. It was filled with story lines and boring matches that really didn't do anything but fuel my disdain for the current product. I thought for a while, a few weeks ago, that the WWE could possibly be exciting one more time, but it seems to be a boring world of sorts. There's so many wrestlers and so many convoluted story lines that I'm not sure which ones I should truly care about and which ones I should let go.

The Worst of RAW

There is so much that sucked on Raw that I don't know what I should call the worst. I'll call out 1/2 the show if not 3/4 of the show for being absolutely dog crap. I didn't find anything at all compelling with the exception of the main event.

The Best of Raw

The tag team match and Ryback pinning Punk is something that is definitely worth noting. Furthermore there are a few wild cards that the WWE can play going into Survivor's Series.

I for on am excited to see whether or not John Cena will turn heel, or Ryback will turn Heel and beat up Cena. Either way, at one point during the big main event at Survivor's Series Cena and Ryback are going to have to fight or argue and that's where Punk can either win, or lose. We'll see how that turns out.

That's it for my thoughts on Raw, I hated most of it, but then again, I'm sure you did too.

WWE Monday Night Raw Thoughts

I didn't see the full show because my DVR messed up. I received a new one this morning. However, I did read and watch some of the show. I don't think the WWE is going to be very popular in the next few weeks. The main event at Hell in a Cell left millions upset, and the show last night was boring with a lot of recycled matches that were tired and boring.

If you missed this show, you didn't miss much.

The main event for the Survivor Series is now set, and it's awful, to say the least.

Oh well.

I'll have more later this week.

WWE Monday Night Raw 10/15/12 Review

When it comes to the “A” show, the WWE surely know how to do it right. I found this night to be another mixed night of quality wrestling, boring backstage stuff, and wanting to boink the general manager. You know you’d want to as well!

Best Matches of the Night

My favorite matches of the night this time around are the Big Show beating Daniel Bryan. This match had a lot to offer, even for me. Bryan really hit everything he could on Show, but it was Show in the end that had the winning formula, choke slamming Bryan within an inch of his life.

Ryback defeating two main eventers, well not really, was a surprise. Ryback continued to plow through competitors, this time it was David Otunga and Ziggler that got completely blown away by the monster.

Kofi Kingston and the Miz! This match was ok, then it got into an insane ending where The Miz was clocked in the face by Kofi in what seemed like the hardest kick to the head I’ve ever seen. MIz, I thought was completely knocked out clean, but apparently he did not receive a concussion. I thought for sure he was gone.

My favorite of all the matches, had to go to the Antonio Cesaro match in which Justin Gabriel put on a highlight reel of his talent, only to get blown out of mid air with a European uppercut. I kid you not, the timing here was perfect and Gabriel was blown out of his boots by a huge uppercut that no one saw coming. Loved the match, loved the ending, great quality overall.

Bad Matches

The tag team division received no time, as they went through a spot fest that bored me.

The women still are tired and boring.

The backstage elements weren’t that great, and the first punk segment as well as the Miz’s highlight reel knockoff was stupid.

Overall all the talking was too much, and the action suffered, but then again, the ending was awesome.

Overall Show

Ryback and Punk will meet inside a Hell in the Cell match at the ppv, and while I’m not going to buy it, I know a lot of people will. The match up is an interesting one, as the two will face each other one on one for the first time.

If you’re not a fan of Ryback’s push, at least know that both John Cena and CM Punk have voted for him backstage to take this main event spot right now. Will Ryback win?

Well, I don’t know, but I will put money on Punk retaining through antics and maybe help from someone breaking into the cage. If he retains, look for Dolph Ziggler to steal the title.

The overall show was good, I liked it. The matches were brief, but some of them were definitely bright spots overall. The 3 Man Rock Band gimmick is funny, I’ll buy into it, that’s for sure. I want to play air guitar already!
