TNA Impact 12/30/10 Results

Robert Roode defeated Chris Sabin
Rob Van Dam defeated Robbie E
Sarita defeated Velvet Sky in a Leather Strap Match
Jeff Jarrett vs Amazing Red's Brother
Aj Styles & Rob Terry defeated Magnus & Douglas Williams
Matt Morgan & Devon defeated Ken Anderson & Bubba Ray

TNA Impact 12/30/10 Review

The last impact of 2010, and I was very tired this morning. I haven't made any sales on this site from amazon, I still have no job, and earlier this morning the only video of Superstars had an AWA track on it, so that's why there's no review for Superstars this week.

Here are my thoughts of TNA.

TNA had Foley chants piped in with this entrance music, it sounded so fake.

Mick Foley and Anderson got in the ring and started talking, I didn't care. Matt Morgan came out and he got involved too. The whole point of this was to further set up the match between Anderson and Matt Morgan. Of course, Anderson's concussion.

Robert Roode defeated Chris Sabin

This match wasn't half bad. It featured a lot of back and forth wrestling, and lots of spots where Sabin looked far better than Roode. I couldn't believe how good Roode reacted to a great deal of the offense from Sabin. Sabin tried to go to the top too many times, because Roode was able to catch him and deliver a nice spine buster and picked up the win. This was probably the best match I've seen on TNA in a long time.

The backstage segments with Orlando Jordan and Erik Young sucks. Shark boy showed up and it was funny.

Rob Van Dam defeated Robbie E

Not a good match here, and Rob Van dam looked winded early. Robbie E was buried here. It wasn't a very good match. You could imagine what happened here, RVD's move set isn't very big and Robbie E is just hanging on by a thread since losing the x-division title.

Post match, Jeff Hardy got on the screen and said RVD had to pass a test at Genesis. They didn't reveal who the opponent was, but if RVD won, he'd get a shot at Jeff Hardy.

Sarita defeated Velvet Sky in a Leather Strap Match

This was just weird. This leather strap match had some interesting points, but it wasn't a great wrestling match up. A lot of points looked like it legit hurt. This match had very little wrestling, it was just a brawl until Sarita won by hitting the 4th corner. The concept is ok, but in action it was just boring.

Jeff Jarrett vs Amazing Red's Brother

Amazin Red's supposed brother came out for the Double J challenge. It ended with Amazing Red smashing a guitar. This was stupid...I hate Jarrett, so maybe he's doing his job well.

Aj Styles & Rob Terry defeated Magnus & Douglas Williams

This match was boring to me. However, the ending was awesome. Aj Styles put Magnus through the Rolling Chaos Theory finisher and I was marking out huge. That was the best part of this match up. HOpefullly Aj loses at Genesis, cause i can't stand his gimmick.

Madison Rayne came to the ring in an evening gown. Mickie James came down and beat her up than stripped her of her dress. Yep. Hardcore Country! I don't care about these women.

Matt Morgan & Devon defeated Ken Anderson & Bubba Ray

This match wasn't that great either. There was some nice back and forth action. Ray and Bubba didn't fight much as Bubba kept running from Devon. Anderson and Morgan work well together. The ending was interesting, Matt Morgan tried to clobber Devon, I think, I don't know, but he ended up hitting Anderson in the back of the head, nearly knocking out Anderson.

Matt Morgan apparently had a heel swerve here? I don't know, it seemed weird. We'll see what will happen sooner than later.

The show was convoluted, there were a lot of things pushed forward here, but no sign of the x-division, and not a lot of great wrestling. It was better than most weeks of Impact, but not nearly as good as WWE's Raw this week.

TNA Impact 6/3/10 Results and Review

TNA Impact 6/3/10 Results

Roxxi defeated Rosey Lotta
Jay Lethal defeated Aj Styles and Kaz in a triple threat match
Jeff Hardy defeated James Storm
Robert Roode defeated Mr Anderson
Abyss & Rob Terry defeated Desmond Wolfe & Orlando Jordan
Samoa Joe & Rob Van Dam defeated Matt Morgan & Sting

TNA Impact 6/3/10 Review

Sting Showed up, and I was already bored, I hate this crap…sting sucks, he hasn’tbeen good since 1994, and even that is reaching far.

Samoa Joe and Sting were supposedly ready to have a battle, but instead it ended with Joe winning most of the match up, but then Matt Morgan came out, and again we get a cluster of a finish, if you can call it that.

Hogan came out when Bischoff couldn’t change a main event or something, I don’t know, this whole thing was so convoluted.

Roxxi defeated Rosey Lotta

I’m so tired of the women of TNA wrestling for less than 2 minutes. It’s interesting to see things develop into crap, right? I’m so sick of the divas and sick of the knockouts….this match sucked. I hate this crap.

This sucks so bad, I can’t believe I have to watch this…well…I guess I don’t have to watch it.

Jay Lethal defeated Aj Styles and Kaz in a triple threat match

This match wasn’t that great, in fact, I thought it sucked. I liked Lethal’s old parody gimmick, and don’t really care for his new gimmick. Sure he can wrestle, but so can a lot of guys, but that doesn’t mean I want to watch them. Styles sucks as a heel and Kaz just sucks. These idiots put on a passable match, but once again, it was short and full of fuzzy spots. Jay Lethal wins, and that’s that.

Post match, Kurt Angle came out and exchanged words with Flair and Kaz, and after a few moments, had a little moment with Flair. After holding down the ropes for Flair, he attacked him, only to get attacked by Kaz. I guess “no talent” on the mic Kaz will face Kurt Angle? Who cares! Gagh!

In ring Christy Hemme’s forehead was shining when Anderson came down and got on the mic. He announced that himself and Jeff hardy will face Beer Money at Slammiversary. I’m not 100% but I smell a swerve coming.

Hardy and Anderson were on the mic, and they talked about how they could beat up Beer Money and what not. Beer Money came out and started talking about random crap.

Anderson then berated Beer Money with some observations and got a few chuckles. I don’t mind promos, but these exchanges take up a lot of time during shows that should be dedicated to pro-wrestling. I’m just saying.

Beer Money beat up the good guys, and that was that. The two fought until security ran in and broke it up.

Jeff Hardy defeated James Storm

Hardy is getting fat, and I’m not the only one that has noticed, am I? He’s a little slower, he’s not trying as hard, and maybe it was James Storm that is to blame for this “slug fest” rather than a wrestling match. Sure, Hardy had a few moments, but it was painfully obvious that this wasn’t an instant classic. Storm introduced a chair and Hardy used it to his advantage, as a springboard. Despite putting up a quality effort from James Storm, Hard won this match with relative ease at the end. I saw it coming, I’m sure you did too. Hardy sucks, he needs better competition and a reason to actually do well, instead he’s lackluster and looking to be gaining weight like his fat ass brother Matt.

Robert Roode defeated Mr Anderson

This match sucked. Anderson barely had any offense, and in the end another roll up ending. I’m so sick of seeing such crappy wrestling, and this was another terrible match. This match was just bad, seriously bad, don’t watch it, if you haven’t seen it.

Abyss & Rob Terry defeated Desmond Wolfe & Orlando Jordan

Rob Terry is acting injured or legit injured, meanwhile Abyss is no longer under the power of the “ring”, is he? I don’t know. He sucks, let’s face it. Despite Desmond Wolfe getting a TON of the TNA voting, he is in this mash up of a piece of crap tag team match. Can you even call this a match? This was fast, and wasn’t even a good match, it just sucked. After some weird interactions between Jordan and Chelsea, this match was over, and Rob Terry got the pin.

So far TNA Impact this week is a complete waste of time.

A huge piece of time was taken for an interview with Jay Lethal…at least that’s what I was watching (stream).

Backstage Jesse Neal was knocked out cold with an Ace on him. That was it. I’m sure that was Orlando Jordan’s card, but I don’t know.

Samoa Joe & Rob Van Dam defeated Matt Morgan & Sting

This match was back and forth, but really managed to highlight Matt Morgan’s strengths more than anyone elses. Matt Morgan seemed to have full control until he saw someone that looked like Super Mex in the crowd, and that’s when Samoa Joe hit the Muscle Buster on Morgan, but couldn’t capitlize. Matt Morgan was on the floor, and Rob Van Dam flew down with a Five Star Frog Splash to get the win.

Post match RVD and Samoa Joe stared each other down.

And that’s the end of the show for me, I guess.

Tna Impact 4/12/10 Results and Review

Tna Impact 4/13/10 Results

The Band defeated Jesse Neal & Team 3D In A New York City Street Fight
Kazarian vs Shannon Moore time limit draw
Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love
Jeff Hardy defeated Robert Roode
Desmond Wolfe & Aj Styles vs The Pope no contest

Tna Impact 4/12/10 Review

The show opened up with Jeff Jarrett tracking down and beating up Sting. The lights went out and Sting got a bat to lay out Double J, and out ran out Hogan’s friends for the save.

Backstage Flair was going nuts. I like his promo cutting skills, even after all these years.

The Band defeated Jesse Neal & Team 3D In A New York City Street Fight

This match was all Team 3D for the most part, but it was not meant to be. Despite the match being falls count anywhere, they never left ringside. Team 3D lost with a little help from Bubba the Love Sponge. This was one of the worst street fights I’ve ever seen in my life. What a waste of time.

Kazarian vs Shannon Moore time limit draw

This match got a time limit draw. It was ok at best. Nothing too special to look at, at least I don’t remember.

Post match, Doug Williams got on the mic and ridiculed his future opponents.

Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love

This was a weird segment. Angelina Love got handcuffed and beaten up by Velvet Sky, which was ok I guess. I didn’t really care about this. Tna has completely ruined the Knockouts division.

Abyss was hit by a car…they found him dead on the ground….well not dead.

Matt Morgan introduced his new tag team partner, Amazing red!

Matt Morgan & Amazing Red defeated The Motor City Machine Guns

Morgan was taking the Machine Guns out by himself at one point, but after they started to double team him, they were able to get things done in this match up. Morgan tagged in Amazing Red, and the Machine Guns were getting worked over, after a Code Red Morgan and Red won. However, Morgan was upset that he didn’t get the pin. After the match, Morgan beat up Amazing Red.

TNA showed the worst looking grainy sped up footage of Abyss getting run over. To me it looked like Desmond Wolfe was driving or Scott Steiner, you never know, it might have been Rikishi, as he was doing it for The Rock!

Jeff Hardy defeated Robert Roode

I admit, Hardy hasn’t been as good as he was in WWE, but Robert Roode brought in some good moments. This wasn’t a complete spot fest, as Roode was able to slow down the pace at times, and made it look like he already knew what Hardy was going to do next.

This match ended with Hardy getting the pin fall win, even after James Storm interfered.

Post match Hardy was hit in the face with a fireball…I haven’t seen one of those in a long time, and it wasn’t all that great on camera. Rumor has it he really got injured, but I don’t care. Hardy is a dead pan in TNA, he needs WWE’s marketing power and opponents to make him worth while. TNA is dropping the ball with him right now.

Desmond Wolfe & Aj Styles vs The Pope no contest

This match sucked. Pope was suppose to team with Black Machismo, but was knocked out backstage by Beer Money. The Pope then got a beat down for his troubles. This was a load of crap.

The Pope, Flair, and Beer Money whipped The Pope with a belt, and that was about it. A boring end to a boring Impact, and I still have to watch this crap.

TNA IMPACT once again sucks it up, and doesn’t make me want to watch the ppv. I can’t even afford it…man I hate this crap.

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Results and Review Thanksgiving Impact

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Results

Lashley defeated Abyss
Desmond Wolfe defeated Suicide
Kurt Angle defeated The Black Pope
Robert Roode defeated Homicide
Tara won a knockouts battle royal
Bobby Lashley defeated Desmond Wolfe via disqualification
Robert Roode defeated Kurt Angle via countout
Bobby Lashley defeated Robert Roode

Tna Impact 11/26/09 Review

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, I had a good one until my brother in-law decided to be a jerk and I decided to walk home. Now I have a chest/head cold. I woke up this morning and there was no signs of an apology, so I guess I have to be the bigger man, and just not worry about it.

Just like WWE, TNA had a tournament for the #1 contender

Lashley defeated Abyss

TNA apparently was trying to desperately get ratings, because these matches were thrown together. At least WCW had the knowledge to create “Battle Bowl” for these unique match ups to be paid for by the fans on ppv. Lashley seemed frantic, trying to prove to everyone that he could wrestle, and therefore was hitting a lot of power moves, clotheslines, and constantly moving forward. Meanwhile, Abyss was taking punishment, and fighting forward, with both men not getting totally in control. Even after Lashley hitting some big moves, Abyss wasn’t just jobbing out. Lashley hit a spear and a dragon sleeper, and this thing was over. Seriously? A dragon sleeper? Ultimo Dragon should be back…remember when he slipped on his cape in WWE?

Desmond Wolfe defeated Suicide

This was the most predictable match I’ve ever seen. Desmond Wolfe tried to make it interesting by having Suicide counter some moments and fighting back, however, it wasn’t all that great. Wolfe seemed out of place, and Suicide just didn’t seem to have it all together. Desmond Wolfe eventually got the pin after The Tower of London, but man, was he green out there. Oh well, it cuold’ve been worse. Desmond Wolfe will face Lashley later.

Kurt Angle defeated The Black Pope

The Black Pope was in full control of this match, despite Kurt Angle’s superior wrestling prowess. The pope got a lot of good overall offense in, and he was looking really strong against Angle. However, despite all the hot spots, Angle simply reversed the offense and momentum and won the match without really doing much work at all. This match was interesting, but Angle’s quick win was out of left field. I didn’t hate this match, and Angle will go on in the tournament.

Robert Roode defeated Homicide

This was actually kind of cool. Finally a tag team singles match goes the way of the tag team. Now, I don’t want Roode going solo, but it was cool to see that a tag team contender could actually do well against another opponent. I know, this happens often, but after Homicide’s embarrassing appearance on ODB’s show, this was definitely something I liked to see. Homicide has gone down hill in a lot of ways…ever since joining the World Elite.

Tara won a knockouts battle royal

Traci Brooks, The Beautiful People, Sarita, Taylor Wilde, Tara, Hamada, and Daffney Knockouts Battle Royal
W/ referee ODB

This match was a battle royal of sorts. It was actually not wrestled quite well and with the commercial breaks this match seemed too rushed. Tara eventually won, and this thing was over, it wasn’t that great. The knockouts could do way better. No Awesome Kong or Raisha Saeed…at least not a big impact. Oh well…

Bobby Lashley defeated Desmond Wolfe via disqualification

This match was basically a fierce Wolfe squash. Lashley didn’t get much in and Desmond Wolfe really pushed his luck, getting disqualified and losing the match. I didn’t really like it, but I liked where the tournament was going.

Robert Roode defeated Kurt Angle via countout

This match was surprising. Robert Roode hung in there with Angle for a good portion of the match. Move for move Roode and Angle were going back and forth, with no one getting a real edge on this match up. It was a shame when Desmond Wolfe came down to distract Angle because the match was over. Angle was counted out for fighting against Wofle on the ramp…and Roode advances.

Aj Styles and Christopher Daniels had a little scuffle in ring, at least verbally. It was boring, and I didn’t care. I wish the Fallen Angle persona would come back and he wouldn’t be on the mic.

Bobby Lashley defeated Robert Roode

This match was a slow, and Lashley obviously was confused at parts of this match up, with a lot of referee stoppages, and moments where it just seemed that Lashley was lost. Roode was obviously tired, and this match started slowly. I didn’t really think that Roode would end up winning, as I’ve heard that Lashley doesn’t want to be a major player in professional wrestling for too long. The match ended up going well towards the end, with a lot of near falls, and huge hits from Lashley. Roode hung in there though, and after even hitting a nice Fisherman’s Suplex, I thought this one was in the books. However, nope, Lashley hit some hard power moves and it was all over.

TNA Impact 6/25/09 Results and Review More Random Crap

TNA Impact 6/25/09 Results

Kevin Nash defeated Abyss
Taylor Wilde defeated Daffney in a 10,000 tack match
Scott Steiner defeated Robert Roode
James Storm defeated Booker T via disqualification

TNA Impact 6/25/09 Review

Brutus Magnus came down for a match was attacked by Bubba Ray Dudley, and it all spilled out into the crowd. Then things spilled back into the ring and out came all of the foreign wrestlers in TNA. They started stomping Bubba Ray Dudley, but in came Devon to save his partner, and it all ended with a 3-D through a table on Kiyoshi!

The Main Event Mafia came out and started to talk random crap. Kurt Angle looks great with a beard and such, he looks more sinister.

Foley came down to the ring and started talking crap as well.

Kevin Nash defeated Abyss

Kevin Nash was doing quite well. He was doing the normal Kevin Nash offense, hitting Abyss in the mid section with knees. Abyss turned things around and was fighting his way to a comeback. A steel chair was introduced to the match and Abyss put it in the corner, but the ref didn’t want to allow it. Stevie Richards was in the ring and he tazed the crap out of Abyss! That’s right a tazer! Kevin Nash then went for the pin, and it was all over. Kevin Nash defeated Abyss thanks to Stevie Richards.

Beer Money was in the ring and talking about their big win at the ppv. Scott Steiner and Booker T came down to ringside. They demanded a title shot, Team 3-D came down and made fun of everyone in the ring…nothing was resolved and we went to commercial break.

Taylor Wilde defeated Daffney in a 10,000 tack match

The first thing I thought about when watching this match up was that the women were working a little stiff and a little sloppy. There were obvious timing issues between the two knockouts, but that was made ok with the speed of the competitors. The match was over quick with Taylor Wilde dropping Daffney on the 10,000 tacks and it was over.

Scott Steiner defeated Robert Roode

This match was somewhat awkward. Neither man really had an upper hand and neither one was pushing the other to have a good match up. The match eventually broke down and Scott Steiner pulled of the victory. Overall this one was a terrible match up, and these two obviously aren’t gelling together. Steiner pulls one out, for a change, and Roode looked shocked.

James Storm defeated Booker T via disqualification

This match started slow, with Booker T looking way better. However, James Storm turned it around nicely and was definitely looking like he could stay in there with the sly veteran. The match ended when Booker T smashed a beer bottle on top of James Storm’s head! It was pretty cool, but it was a prop bottle indeed. Storm wins via dq…I think?

Aj Styles called out Samoa Joe and then started swinging! As Aj was getting the upper hand out ran Matt Morgan to assist Joe, then out came out Christopher Daniels to settle things up. Then out ran the Main Event Mafia, and things were getting worse.

Sting came out to the ring and starts talking about mutiny. This was a stupid night of TNA. This isn't much of a wrestling show as it truly is a soap opera. It ended terribly...what a lame night of wrestling...seriously. Sting name drops The Wolfpack! Kevin Nash talked about how they are all about money...lame. In the end Sting gave Nash a bat, and it came back to haunt him when Joe grabbed a bat and dropped Sting! Then the rest of the Main Event Mafia beat down Sting. He's now out of the mafia? I guess.

I like stables, but this one isn't working all that well...but then again, maybe I started to like it..sting was getting pummeled.
