ECW Results 3/21/07

Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu

I liked Monty Brown in TNA he was wild and fast, and dominated the competition. Then he moved to WWE, they changed his name gimmick and now he's just another wrestler in the WWE that I don't really like. Kevin Thorn is interesting, but I don't like him as much as I liked Gangrel or Vampiro. Sorry. This match was alright, but RVD is the only ECW older guy that can still go well. Sabu is tired, and he looks like he's in pain.

Snitsky def. Local

This is a waste of time. I don't think Snitsky should get a contract at all.

CM Punk def. Hardcore Holly

CM Punk is coming into his own, and now with a win over Hardcore Jobber, things maybe getting a little better for the straightedge kid from the midwest. The match itself was a little tame, and overall didn't appeal to me.

Elijah Burke def. Tommy Dreamer

Another throwaway match. Dreamer can't play off of Burke, he needs Justin Credible! Or better yet bring in Terry Funk or Jake the Snake to force Dreamer to wrestle better.

ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters (Non-Title)

Why is this non title? You know Lashley is going to kill Masters, why not let him put the title on the line so that at least Masters gets the idea that he's got a shot at some real gold instead of having to be jobbed out to the flavor of the week. Once again a good overall match up for what it is, but it's just a glorified squash as Lashley once again wins over his opponent.

The show as a whole had more wrestling packed into one hour than usual, but it still needs more to appeal to the diehard ECW fans out there. So far this brand is failing on all levels. Then again, I do have an ECW shirt in my closet, so maybe it's not too bad at this point. I liked this show the best of the two shows that WWE had this week. That's saying something.
