WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/3/10 Review
Rey Mysterio came out to the ring to cut a random promo against Alberto Del Rio and what not. The two verbally sparred. Rey challened the crafty heel to a one on one match, and the two will face off at TLC in a very reckless and hardcore match up. The two brawled, and that was kind of cool, but nothing too crazy here.
Oh, I forgot to mention, Mysterio hit a leg drop on Del Rio through a TABLE!
Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler defeated Kaval & MVP
Not a bad match, with some nice action from all members. Kaval took the brunt of the punishment towards the end of the match, as expected, and eventually would lose the match for his team. Kaval then took a tombstone from Kane as the match finished up and cleared out.
Word on the street is that MVp is done with the WWE, and this was his last match, another loss.
Kane got on the mic and just started ranting against Edge, and no one cared.
Throughout the show they kept teasing Paul Bearer being there and what not, but it wasn't.
Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger
Not exactly a four star classic, but a good amount of offense. Kofi took some major hits in this one, and although he took some mean bumps, it was Swagger that lost the match in the end. The two really put together a good overall match up, which was interesting to watch for sure, but it just seemed to have set up another match between Kofi and Ziggler that probably won't be that good.
Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Masters
Cross Rhodes was hit and that was that. Chris Masters is still employed? Stupid match, not a whole lot to mention here, just more random losses. Cody keeps winning on Smackdown, and the match was nothing much to mention, that's for sure.
Layla defeated Rosa Mendes
A short short match which was worst than then knockouts match up. I hated it.
Hornswoggle and the Soaring Eagle were involved in a brawl. Beth Phoenix came out and beat up laycool.
Edge defeated Kane
This was quite possibly the most boring point of all of wrestling this week. Edge won, and got to choose the stipulation for the match at the ppv. However, despite the two throwing together a match, it was boring and the feud is stupid. I'm sick of this crap...but eh...it's better than nothing I guess.
Edge wants a tlc match...that's about it. Smackdown has been terrible as of late.
