From The Mailbag 2/4/10 Edition

We're back after another seven days from the last time. I've been lucky enough to sign up for satellite television for a lower rate, to get the ball rolling on this site, and well, I'm still broke. I have no job, and am struggling...and yet no one buys anything.

Whatever...let's talk wrestling! Or should I say WRASTLING like the classic briscoe brothers would have said.

MC said in regards to this week's Monday Night Raw:

The things that caught my attention in Shawn Michaels post-match meltdown was he was tearing the DX stuff off his body.

Looks like Michaels vs. Hunter redux may be coming sooner rather than later.

If HBK fights HHH I'm going to be mad. I don't want to see them fight ever again. Shawn's break down was good and tearing DX apart means Hornswoggle's out of a job. We'll have to wait and see where it goes.

dag8ownar said in regards to this week's Monday Night Raw:

Hopefully we won't be getting a Shawn vs Hunter feud again. Please no ...

I marked out loud during the last segment. That's how every feud should start. I'm tired of watching weak angles. Heel wrestlers look terribly weak nowadays and that's why i liked what Batista and Vince did to Bret last night.

I'm also looking forward for an Edge vs Jericho feud. Chris is badass as a heel and Edge is sick in his own awesome way. They would do great, i'm sure. And what's so freaking good about Sheamus (or whatever is spelled)?. Last time i checked he was squashing jobbers on ECW, i simply don't get it ...

I'm with you, I hate the idea of HHH vs HBK. The last segment, yes, I marked out huge too, I thought McMahon got hit hard. Vince got a black eye after the segment, and I swear Hart took a hard shot on his face. That being said, Batista also gave Hart a hard shot in the shoulder and jaw. It might have been bad enough to not warrant a Batista bomb.

Edge vs Jericho? I hope so. However, let me let you guys in on an interesting note:

For the house show coming near me they are advertising Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio in a match for the #1 contender shot at Wrestlemania.

So I'm not so sure Jericho will even be champion. We'll see.

Anonymous said in regards to last week's TNA Impact:

What the hell happened to jeff hardy? Are they seriously just dropping that or is he taking a break or what?

The whole TNA universe is asking the same thing. What the hell? I don't know. No one's talking about him so I guess that's the end of that.

I want to thank each and everyone of you that commented, thank you very much. Keep the comments coming, email me, chat with me on aim and let's keep on talking wrestling. I'll have my first ever Superstars review up tomorrow, Smackdown review this weekend and so on and so forth.

If you have any money please donate or buy something. I could use the help.

From The Mailbag 1/28/10 Edition

Another seven or so days has gone by and here are the latest comments and notes from the world of wrestling:

Ken has left a comment on the post "TNA Impact 1/21/10 Results and Review No Change in...":

This show as atrociously bad as Hogan's idea of "change" is apparently rehashing shit from 1996 and 1997. Moreover, after TNA just asked the audience not to chant bullshit before the show, what does Kurt Angle do? Say "this is bullshit!" at the end of the show.

He's right, it WAS bullshit. It sucked.

Yes, it was completely terrible. I am not sure where they are going or how much actual planning they did, but it came across as amateur at best. I agree. Let's hope tonight's show is good.

Shane has left a comment on your post "WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/22/10 Results and Rev...":

This was definitely not a good Smackdown. Honestly, I do beleive that, on average, it is better than Raw but that's probably just because they have more of my favorite characters. Well, as I've said before I am a big Kane fan even though I know he won't win the Rumble (unless my wishes of another Wrestlemania match between Kane and Taker come true [I always mark out huge for those, except 23. Their match at Wrestlemania 23 sucked.]) So even though I know he won't win I am looking for a big Kane push at the Rumble.

Personally, I think the final four of the Rumble will be Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Batista, and John Cena. My prediction, Triple H wins.

Back onto the subject of the show, this one sucked. Jericho is a good and entertaining speaker as a heel, but I always liked his 'Lionheart' gimmick better. As for Kahli, I don't know if they're going back to his whole Punjabi Playboy thing but I'm really not a fan. I only liked him in one match (a triple threat with kane and batista, at the Bash i think). Taker is better as a heel. And personally, I think all the people Punk are saving are plants. Well, maybe not all but definitely the woman. There was just alot wrong with this show and not many good things. Looking forward to DX's breakup on Raw. Michaels and Triple H are better as single wrestlers.

On point, you're exactly right. Maybe we'll see some more thought in the show this week. Rumors are flying about all sorts of things, and that's good for interest. However, it didn't excuse a terrible show.

dag8ownar said said in regards to last week's Smackdown post:

This one was a sucky filler episode of Smackdown. Nothing really happened and the matches were just plain stupid. But the first tag team match was pretty good.

I hope they give John Morrison another push. He only needs to work a little on his mic skills, because in the ring he's untouchable.

Well, back on the show ... that final segment was just weak and stupid. Taker doesn't look that badass nor evil anymore like back in time. He needs to turn heel once more! I think he's been looking like an idiot on his more recent promos, but maybe it's just me. And will we get Shawn vs Taker againat WM? I hope we won't. And yes, i think Batista is on the juice and he's been since ... always? Well, he still sucks.

Yeah, the show sucked. I'm sure Morrison will come back at it again. Shawn and Taker would be terrible, let's hope it doesn't happen. Oh yeah, Batista is on the juice bad, let's hope he doesn't tear anything anytime soon.

Well that's it for the comments. I had to rush em this week because I'm trying to come up with the cable bill.

Sir Jorge's Pro Wrestling Mail Bag 1/21/2010

I promised you guys a new segment that featured your comments, and here it is. I have been toying with this idea for quite some time and finally got around to doing it.

I really suggest that you guys comment, even if it's to trash my writing. I could use the conversation, as I have nothing better to do. You can always email your comments if you have to.

Also, if you have a few cents donate or buy something from amazon online.

Before we get started, isn't it funny that they fired that broke ass scott hall wanna be Escobar? Hahaha!

here are your comments and my 2 cents:

Anonymous said in regards to my post for ECW 1/5/10:

I am reading this blog from Serbia.Good rewievs.
Sory for may bad english,I am bad in writing the words, but understend all perfect.

Just to you to now that somebody read this blog outside USA :)

Hello SERBIA! I'm glad that you're enjoying my comments on wrestling and such, makes sure you keep reading, and writing. Thanks for your comment.

Shane said in regards to my post for ECW 1/5/10:

It's killing me what the WWE is doing with Mark Henry, and especially Kane. They've become the equivalent of professionally paid jobbers. I remember Kane's debut. Soon after it, he got both the Hardys in a double chokeslam and ko'd them both. Now...a loss to Ziggler (even worse, a clean loss). As for Mark Henry, basically the same principle. The company is very stupid with their talent sometimes.

Shane, you're absolutely right. I remember the Big Red Machine was a dominant force. I recall feuds with Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin where he was in there gaining a foothold in the mainstream wrestling. He even had good feuds with "fake kane"...ok so it wasn't that great, but it's funny to see WWE drop the ball on him. Could it be that Kane is just not that into his role anymore? Maybe it's not all wwe. I'm not sure.

As for Mark Henry, I've never been a fan. I've absolutely never been a huge fan of Mark Henry, but he did start to get a decent push and some crowd reaction. Now? He's stuck in midcard hell again. At least he's not impregnating Mae Young or anything.

Shane also said in regards to my wwe monday night raw review from 1/4/10:

I was impressed with this episode of RAW. Jericho was great and I'm gonna miss him. Guess I'll have to start watching Smackdown more. The tag match was great. I enjoyed the conversations between Michaels/Vince and Bret. RAW beat TNA fair and square tonight and I don't see TNA becoming "number one" anytime soon.

You're right. The tag match at the 1 hour main event mark was some of the best tag team wrestling I've seen out of WWE on Raw in a long time. He'll pop up, I'm sure, if wwe can make money with Jericho they'll put him back on Raw, and through his comedic efforts he'll get back in. Remember, though, this is not new Jericho. WCW Jericho did the same thing with the Cruiserweight title and finding loopholes to hold onto it, even after losing to Rey Mysterio and others. So it's just vintage Jericho, and that's fine by me. He'll be back, that's my two cents.

TNA was terrible by comparison. Hart and McMahon finally getting something going is long overdue. I liked it. I was definitely excited for this Raw and they somewhat delivered.

shane also said in regards to TNA 1/4/10:

I watched RAW instead. All I saw was the Steel cage and hardy's return. sounds like i didnt miss much though.

Hardy's return was one of the worst returns in wrestling history. That cage match was one of the worst cage matches in history too. Overall TNA talked change, but they didn't change much. On a sidenote, I might be the only fan left of the Nasty Boys.

Thanks for the comments.

dag8ownar said in regards to my WWE Monday Night Raw 1/18/10 review:

This show bored me, but it didn't suck that much it had its moments. Taker promos are getting stale, i think he should turn heel again. There were a lot of squash matches, and that's what i really hate about Raw. The divas actually did a better job this time.

And i'm sorry about you being unemployed. I really want to help but got fired from my job too. I watched Raw on a stream.

Cheers from Chile.

HELLLLO CHILE! Or should I say Hola! Do they call people from Chile chilango's? I know Mexican's are sometimes called that (I would know), but none the less, thank you for reading and commenting!

The show was boring, you're right. Taker is definitely not as good as "heel" taker. He need to be more demonic, in my view. Remember when he kidnapped Stephanie? He also crucified Steve Austin! He was more dominant with a stable, now he's just not that great.

The divas did indeed improve, but their finish was boring.

As for me and my job, I guess I might end up working at McDonalds...which is tough for me to admit. I'm a college graduate with a lot of experience as a manager. Oh well.

Finally, want to see a great comeback? Unlike Hardy's comeback?

At ECW's Guilty as Charged ppv they had a surprise return and it was Pscyho Sid, he came down to the ring and just chokeslammed Kronus to hell...here is the video:

Keep the comments coming, I could sure use the opinions, and I'll comment back via these mail bag posts. Thanks again to all that commented in the past week or so, your thoughts are important to the future of this site.

Reader Feedback Sundays 7/20/08

This section of the site is dedicated to reader feedback! You leave comments, send me email and I replay directly every Sunday! Yay! I’m trying to get a podcast started too, if you’d like to help me out, or would appreciate listening to it, let me know. Let’s start the great feedback:

S.I.A has left a new comment on your post "WWE Raw Review 7/14/2008 WTF Show?":

I agree with you about the ending! If by some miracle John Cena did manage to somehow survive a crash like that there wouldn't be a hope in hell that he'd be fit to do anything, much less wrestle a match in less than a weeks time!

WWE crossed the invisable reality line with that one!

Santino Marella for president! :)

The crash, wow, what a horrible piece of crap this segment was. Seriously, the wwe stresses that they’re entertainment, but this is beyond the line of believability. I’m not sure what the WWE is thinking, but yeah, it’s so lame. It made me upset.

Now as far as Santino Marella for president, I think he has a good chance. I mean, the country is praising the mic skills of Obama, so why not? Marella is smart on the mic, not so good at wrestling, and well…maybe he has a future in Politics.

I agree, Santino for congress!

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "WWE Smackdown Review 7/18/2008 The Wedding":

i agree, i wonder where they are going with mr.kennedy. the fans love now,and their are still quite a few wwe wrestlers who are juicers and still wrestling which i dont understand. and whats up with the undertaker? othere wrestlers like john cena and randy orton and rey mysterio said how long they would be gone and why but its irritating all the mystery they are putting behind the undertakers disappearance.

Kennedy was on the high rise to a title shot, and was supposed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match this year, but instead CM Punk got the rub and now he’s the champion. Kennedy sure is lighter and faster now, which is probably why the WWE is waiting to push him harder. They want to make sure he can stay healthy without the juice.

As for the other juicers, I’m sure they are trying hard to hide it. I know that Chavo looks a lot bigger than he did in WCW…and to prove that here’s a clip of Chavo in WCW.

There’s no denying he’s on the juice.

Undertaker is probably what Kane is talking about. Why he is gone? I heard he was injured and was just tired of the road. They’ll bring him back to Raw, most likely. From what the rumor mills are saying, Triple H and the Undertaker don’t like each other and will not be on the same show, so maybe that’s something to look into.

Undertaker should return, and it would be nice if he became Heel, because the WWE is running short on heels. I’m not sure why they are trying to infuse his old scary taker gimmick. Remember when he kidnapped Stephanie? That was classic.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Bret Hart Hates WWE":

There is no wrestler on earth like Bret Hart

He is The Best There was. The Best There Is. And The Best There Ever Will Be !!!!

It’s true. Bret Hart is the best, and will always be. Too bad he won’t work a Raw or PPV surprise match. It’d be nice.

Final Note:

Where are the PPV Reviews?

I’m sorry that I haven’t been reviewing as many pay per views this year. It’s due to finances. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to afford getting the main events from WWE or TNA. I have set up a small plan to get some income and that’s done through some paid ads on this site, and amazon links. If you would like to help me out, then please check out those links, and for amazon, it doesn’t cost you more to buy from them, and they hook me up with a few cents per order. Don’t worry, I don’t see your information, and amazon doesn’t sell it or give me anything but a few cents.

If I can save up enough for a PPV in one month, I’ll make sure to get the next one, and a full review will happen! Seriously.

Contact Me!

Let me know what you’re thinking about wrestling. Seriously, what’s up with wrestling? You can email me anytime sirjorge AT gmail.com or if you use aol instant messenger, talk to me on there, my screen name is: thecorporatehero

I’m online a ton, so I’ll make sure to talk to you about wrestling any time I’m online.

If you don’t want to do those things, leave me a comment and I’ll make sure to put it up here on my new COMMENT SUNDAYS!

And for you old school fans…here’s a Randy Macho Man Savage match to hold you over!

Remember, COMMENT! Comments are always welcome!

Expect more wrestling reviews starting next week!

Sir Jorge's WWE Mail Bag Vol. 1

I get comments on this site every now and again, and sometimes I never go back to them. But to somehow encourage more comments, I’m going to start replying to them, in post.

Pandora’s chest writes:

“Hiya Jorge!

I agree with you on tag teams and cruiserweights as well. Any idea where Psicosis went? Super Crazy's around jobbing, but his partner's gone too. London and Kendrick are both a blast to watch but without the synergy of a tag team it's tough going for guys their size.

I don't get it--some of the most fun matches I've ever seen have been tag matches, cruiserweights and luchadors back in the WCW days when they were bringing up guys like Super Calo (aka Super Crazy? I'm never sure that's him because Calo was masked), Psicosis, Juvi, Los Villanos... I could go all night listing awesome wrestlers that today don't get a second look, like Vampiro Canadiense, but you've heard me babble on that before so I'll quit hijacking your comments and just say, "awesome post".”

First of all, thank you for all the comments in the past, I appreciate you reading this blog of mine, and it’s great to see other people that like professional wrestling, and who know a lot about pro-wrestling past, present and future.

Psichosis is in Mexico, enjoying some nice paydays. Psichosis and Juventud Guerrera were let go by the WWE because they just don’t like their styles.

From what I know, the WWE hates high-spots and Lucha Libre style moves. They feel that it endangers their wrestlers far beyond normal, and when Juventud deliberately disobeyed WWE’s policy in regards to what can be performed in ring, he was immediately fired. Same goes with Psichosis.

Luchadors are crippled by the standards of WWE’s in ring policies.

Super Calo was not Psichosis. If you recall, Psichosis had a great run in WCW feuding with the cruiserweight champions a bunch. Calo is seen every now and again in Mexico, and enjoys a long running jobber role. He’s older, so he’s not exactly getting as much coverage. Some of his WCW matches are legendary, although no one seems to remember them.

Vampiro is really old, and tired. He couldn’t hack it right now, in my opinion. He’s got a documentary coming out sooner than later. Last I heard he was in Mexico, fighting crime.

Keep the comments coming, I appreciate the readers.

I’ll keep posting of course. I love pro-wrestling.

Just for your awesome comments, here's a match from 1998 featuring Super Calo:
