Sheamus Gets Customized Side Plates For WWE Title – Champion For A While

Sheamus officially got some new side plates for the WWE World Title this past week. If you didn’t see the video on WWE.com, they were kind enough to post it on Youtube. Below you will see the video of Sheamus getting his custom WWE belt plates, and they are pretty cool.

For those of you that are wondering, chances are that this is a signal as to how long Sheamus will end up with the title. Don’t be surprised if he carries it through Mania. These plates get installed, and are really cool, if you ask me. Anyways, check out the video below to see how happy Sheamus was and how cool the customized WWE title looks right now.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 4/2/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 4/2/10 Results

Jack Swagger defeated Chris Jericho for the world heavyweight championship
Drew McIntyre defeated Matt Hardy
R Truth & John Morrison defeated Cryme Tyme
Dolph Ziggler defeated The Great Khali
KANE defeated Everyone on NXT via disqualification

WWE Friday Night Smackdon 4/2/10 Review

Jericho came out verbally swinging, talking about how he won at Wrestlemania and he’s the best, same old stuff, but it was great stuff.

Edge came down the ramp to interrupt Jericho, and they’re still talking about how he wont he Royal Rumble this year. Edge took out Chris Jericho, beating him up and hitting the Edge-acution. He then got up and hit a huge spear and the crowd was going nuts. Jericho was completely out, ribs taped and everything, he was definitely having a rough opening.

Jack Swagger ran in and cashed in the Money in the Bank Briefcase!

SWAGGER CASHED IN ON JERICHO!

SWAGGER hit a huge Gut Wrench Powerbomb and pinned JERICHO! WE HAVE A NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! JACK FREAKIN SWAGGER NO JOKE JACK FREAKIN SWAGGER IS THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!!!

R Truth & John Morrison defeated Cryme Tyme

The guys couldn’t get the win at Mania, but they sure got the win here tonight. The match didn’t even have JTG getting into the match up, and they slightly teased a Cryme Tyme break up. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but yeah, it’s the end of Cryme Tyme.

Well, Big Shad did kick JTG and continued to beat him up. I hate this sort of crap. I hate when tag teams, that haven’t even won a title get thrown into a singles thing…yeah, it worked for Shawn Michaels but it hasn’t worked for every team they split up. Lame. There’s no good tag-team wrestling in the WWE.

Drew McIntyre defeated Matt Hardy

Lame match. Worse than Squashing the guy.

Dolph Ziggler defeated The Great Khali

This match wasn’t that great, and Ziggler was getting beat most of it. But he hit Khali with a huge sleeper hold, and won…yes…he won with a sleeper hold.

Khali said he’s going to India.

Beth Phoenix & Tiffany defeated Layla & Michelle McCool

This match was your standard tag team fare, nothing too crazy went down at all, and I was almost bored to tears. Whatever….Smackdown tonight hasn’t been all that good.

KANE defeated Everyone on NXT via disqualification

Kane had to fight all the NXT guys. This match had Kane hitting everyone with his offense. Eventually the match broke down and Kane get jumped by 8 people! All the nxt guys jumped Kane and beat him up, to a chorus of boo’s.

Jack Swagger gave a state of the World Championship Address….lisping all the way.

Chris Jericho came out and wanted his title back, and cut a good promo against the new Champion.

Edge interrupted Chris Jericho's hissy fit.

Teddy Long came out and fixed things....

Next week on Smackdown will face EDGE and the winner will get to wrestle JACK SWAGGER!

Now the ending was alright, overall though, this night of smackdown was lackluster.

I didn't review NXT cause I got too tired...looking for a job sucks...it's been 9 months.

Swagger got last laugh with a gut wrench on Edge and Jericho.

WWE Smackdown Review 7/25/08 Post Wedding Mayhem

To start off the show we get a recap of last week’s Smackdown ending, and you know what? It’s a lot better condensed.

In Ring Segment 1:

Jeff Hardy enters the VIP Lounge and he’s great on the mic. He says that he’s the odds on favorite to win the battle royal to face Triple H.

Jeff Hardy says he hasn’t seen MVP win a match since he had the U.S Championship.

MVP talks smack about Jeff Hardy’s WWE Magazine cover. MVP starts talking bad about Jeff Hardy, reminding him of his suspension and his house that burned down. Jeff tries to keep up, but MVP is just too good and keeps firing away as the HEEL.

Hardy then looks fed up, and here we go!

Hardy pushes MVP and the fans start to turn, but quickly go to a Hardy chant, MVP quickly gets out of the ring, and looks upset. He walks away, leaving the ring to Jeff Hardy.

I think that MVP looked great in the ring, and Hardy looked genuinely pissed that he was out spoken by MVP, which is a great thing. They generated a lot of heat in a matter of moments, and while I am not a big fan of in ring segments, I did enjoy MVP pushing buttons and it reminded me a lot of what Santino can do on the mic.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Jimmy Wang Yang

As soon as the music hit, I knew this was going to be a throw away match. Yang hasn’t gotten a decent shake in a long time, and Benjamin has just won the title. Benjamin goes relatively unharmed in this glorified squash match. Benjamin has improved a lot, in what seems like overnight, and he totally drops Yang with his finisher The Pay Dirt for the win. Yang never had a chance.

Backstage Segment 1:

The Edgekins are backstage with Edge. Edge apologizes for last week. The Edgekins says that they don’t need an explanation, and then they run off.

Festus defeated Curt Hawkins

This was a stupid squash match and served no purpose. Festus beat Hawkins fast, and then after the bell, gets beatdown for no apparent reason. Jesse gets dumped out, and this is how we are going to build to Festus and Jesse winning the tag titles. The crowd was not into the ending, what a load of crap. I hate when WWE squashes guys like this for no apparent reason.

Backstage Segment 2:

Edge is talking to his wedding planner backstage, when Bam shows up to ease drop.

Vladimir Koslov defeated Stevie Richards

As soon as I saw Stevie Richards, I knew there was going to be a squash coming up. Koslov comes in there and Foley is correct, Koslov is NOT tested in the ring and much like Matt Morgan on TNA he’s just squashing guys for no particular reason. He’s NOT Goldberg, so I don’t know why they keep pushing his streak.

Richards throws in more moves than most, but still manages to lose this one, as is standard when building up a monster heel.

Koslov squashes Richards in a no surprise match up, and this wrestling fan is getting tired of this stupid continuation. Koslov takes a lot of punishment, I give it that, but eventually just floors Richards with a head butt. One of the worst moves in WWE history.

The Great Khali defeated Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, Jeff Hardy, Big Show, and MVP

The last three participants made this really interesting for me. Jeff Hardy, Khali and Big Show were left. Hardy got a major push cause he pushed out Big Show somehow, and he had to try and wrestle Khali, but it looked grim for a minute there. Hardy kept fighting off Khali, but Khali kept pushing his weight around. Khali nearly crushed Hardy with a HUGE chop to the head, and then threw him out. Khali looked genuinely annoyed for some reason, and he looked somewhat stunned by Hardy’s offense. I can’t believe how this all turned out.

Khali will face Triple H for the world title at Summerslam. Hardy put on a great show, everyone did really, and the last two didn’t really make sense to me, but we’re going to get Triple H vs. Khali, that’s going to be great! Remember when Big Show was The Giant in WCW? He rolled through the main event talent like crazy ppv after ppv, no one could beat him, well maybe WWE is taking a cue from WCW of old. Maybe Khali will be unstoppable, until the Undertaker comes back to defeat him in a casket match or something.

Post Match:

Triple H comes to ringside, and stares up the Great Khali. Triple H looks ridiculously small compared the giant Khali. Nothing happens here, as they just stare each other into leaving.

R-Truh (K QWIK, Ron The Truth Killings) promo is shown. He’s looking good, that’s for sure.

Michelle McCool defeated Maryese

McCool somehow pulled of this victory, but it was a boring match. Maryese isn’t yet ready to go for a full match, and this one just seemed forced to me. The match wasn’t too long, and really didn’t have a whole lot of high spots. The ending came with some sort of leg lock looking thing, although it isolated the heel of some kind. I don’t know, this match sucked.

Backstage Segment 3:

Vickie Guerrero finally arrives, and Bam shows up. Bam tries to tell Chavo what Edge was up to earlier, but he is interrupted, and we get to commercial.

Backstage Segment 4:

Edge says he’s going to apologize, Bam runs to go tell Vickie.

Pre-Match

Kendrick talks on the mic, J.R says that Kendrick is like the late Brian Pillman…I don’t know about all that.

Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel defeated Shannon Moore

Everytime I see Shannon Moore, I can’t help but wonder how in the world he manages to stay on the payroll. Not so much cause he sucks, but because I could have sworn he was on ECW and/or TNA in recent memory. Oh well. Moore, basically got squashed by Kendrick, and while I think Shannon Moore is good, the WWE didn’t give him a chance to win this match up. Kendrick is good, but not great yet, he needs a challenge to prove himself. This was a standard cruiserweight match up, nothing too crazy, some missed spots here and there, but overall a standard affair with no crowd participation. Brian Kendrick wins with his move, but I’m not sure what it’s called…oh well. It’s sliced bread number 2 no? J.R said that it’s now something else, but I wasn’t paying too much attention.

Backstage Segment 5:

Vickie and Chavo are talking backstage, when Bam interrupts. Bam mixes up Edge’s message and says that Edge will be in the ring to apologize or something. Vickie shakes her head no, and we fade to commercial.

Final In Ring Segment:

Edge is out in the ring alone, ready to call out Vickie Guerrero. The fans boo the crap out of him. I'm surprised that they don't say more "what?". Undertaker chants try to start up, but the crowd quiets down a little. He then asks for Vickie to come out.

Vickie comes out to ring side. The boo's start pouring in as Edge and her are in the ring. This is ridiculous if you ask me.

Edge tries to apologize. He blames the wedding planner for the mistakes, and he claims that the video didn't show that he was taken advantage of.

Vickie reinstates the Undertaker, and announces a Hell in the Cell match up for Summerslam with Undertaker and Edge! The show fades with Edge looking really scared of the Undertaker.

This edition of Smackdown was somewhat upsetting at the end. Seriously, why did the WWE go with this story line as the main event? I was really upset that they didn't have solid wrestling at the end. Wasn't the WWE going to plan less stunts and drama? Oh wait...less wrestling and more drama equals a PG rating? I don't know. The end of Smackdown really made this show sink, regardless of that great match up early on in the show.

The tag division looks weak again, but I'm sure they are setting up something for later. I can't stand the Festus in ring scenarios, but I guess I have to just deal with them.

Koslov's streak is lame.

MVP on the mic was great, and only Santino can probably match his wits.

I thought for sure Hardy was going to get a major push, but instead Khali was great, and I want to see that match up at Summerslam. I don't know if Triple H can pull off a clean win over Khali. I'm not sure what's going to go down, but it's going to set up something great, I'm sure.

Shelton Benjamin is looking great. I am glad to see that he's getting a push, even if it is minor.

Squashing the cruiserweights on WWE television is stupid to me. I really wish that they would bring back the cruiserweight title and that they would really allow the smaller guys to get a chance. WCW did so great back in the day, TNA is allowing more small guys to get a shot, and overall WWE could definitely do something great. However, it's not happening anytime soon, as the WWE continues to make bus loads of cash on the existing product. Why change things up if you're making so much money right?

The reinstatement of the Undertaker on Smackdown was a bit odd to me. I kept reading that HHH didn't like Undertaker and they couldn't be on the same show because of their past dealings. I do recall Undertaker beating Triple H at Wrestlemana X7. The Undertaker will most likely be dominant until it sets up the inevitable Triple H vs. Undertaker match where Undertaker finally loses. Edge and Undertaker at Summerslam is going to be interesting, and Hell in the Cell? All I know is that someone better fall off the top of that cage, otherwise it's going to be lackluster. Foley made that match famous, and even Shawn Michaels took a nice fall.

The divas belt looks cheesy, and the divas are not improving. Give me the KNOCKOUTS any day in comparison to the stupid looking, cookie cutter divas.

This week Smackdown was stronger than last week, but it's not that great. Tna, to me, was better, and ECW is looking stronger than all the shows.

Raw 6/24/2008 Results: Vince McMahon Dead

Complete Raw 3 Hour Draft Special Restuls

WWE Champion Triple H def. Mark Henry. Rey Mysterio was drafted to Raw from SmackDown.
Finlay & Hornswoggle def. Santino Marella & Carlito. Jeff Hardy was drafted from Raw to SmackDown.

What a waste of a match. Seriously, what a waste. Mark Henry never had a chance.

Jeff Hardy going to Smackdown is going to be awesome. That will definitely be good for their demographic of Lucha Libre fans, and hopefully we can see some movement in the world title hunt.

World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes def. Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely. CM Punk was drafted from ECW to Raw.

Ted Dibiase on commentary was good. He seems to know what's up, and the new Million Dollar Man book looks awesome. Although that book is only the second book he's done, because he previously released a biography. This one will be fuller, i'm sure.

As for the CM PUNK trade, that's good, but what about the Money in the Bank Suitcase? I guess eventually he could go wherever he wants, so the Draft isn't that big of a deal.

WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz def. United States Champion Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy was drafted from SmackDown to ECW.
WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James & Melina and the team of Victoria & Natalya were in a tag team match that ended as a double disqualification. Jim Ross was drafted to SmackDown and Michael Cole was drafted to Raw.

Melina took a major bump, and messed up her ankle, causing the match to just go into a double DQ. Either way, Michael Cole and Jim Ross traded places, and both looked very sad about it. The King and Foley also looked appalled and had to really try to suck it up and continue the match up.

J.R. Almost Quit over the news, so they say....

John Cena def. World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Batista was drafted to Raw from SmackDown.

Cena of course defeats Edge, although by count out. Batista is drafted, and this story only makes sense if Edge already knew the outcome, because now he's rejoicing. But Batista still gets a shot at the title.

MVP def. Tommy Dreamer with Colin Delaney. Umaga was drafted to SmackDown from Raw.

The jobbing Machine lost badly. Delaney got tore up! Umaga goign to Smackdown is somewhat interesting, but he's not much a monster to me.

I think Jamie Noble is going to be fed to him to prove that he still can wrestle.

JBL def. Kofi Kingston. ECW Champion Kane was drafted to Raw from ECW.

Kane is going to Raw? What about the ECW title? This makes no sense; I guess Big Show is going to take the title? I don't know. The match was cool though, KOFI is seriously good, if he can get some help in the ring and JBL did alright, even though he's fat.

Edge won a Tri-Branded 15-Man Battle Royal. WWE Champion Triple H and Mr. Kennedy were drafted to SmackDown from Raw.

Batista getting busted wide open was insane. I can't believe that there was no blading in this one. He ran head first into Edge's head and he got busted open the hard way. He was a mess, and Cena was trying to give him some time by mopping up anyone who got in front of the big man. Batista held on a while until he got thrown out by Big Show.

The match was good, but the ending...wow....Triple H and Kennedy gone to Smackdown.

Overall this weeks Raw was really good. I liked it a lot. I hope that they continue to level this all out.

My favorite spot was Y2J coming out and HBK attacking him. Now that's what I call a feud!

Vince McMahon Dying was lame. He's not dead, he's not hurt, that angle is so stupid.

What do you think?

WWE One Night Stand PPV Predictions

This sunday, tomorrow, WWE is going to go live on PPV and have an slew of extreme matchups that are going to be awesome, or fail at grasping our attention.

So here are my productions...like you care...huh? I kid...I kid.

Edge vs Undertaker (TLC Match for World Heavyweight Championship)

Edge and Undertaker, it's a tough one, but with the last speech on Smackdown, things are going to be very good for The Undertaker! That's right, Undertaker is going to win this one, simply because he can't get fired...or can he? I'm a little doubtful that Edge can polish off the deadman in this match, and I do expect Vickie,Chavo and the edgekins to get beat downs too.

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton (Last Man Standing Match)

There is no chance in hell that Triple H is walking out of this match without the world title. Look for Triple H to win this match up, as Orton is just not that good; at least not this time around.

John Cena vs. JBL (First Blood Match)

JBL lost an "I Quit" match against Cena before he retired for a little while. I highly doubt that CENA is going to lose this one. In fact, even if he gets booed out of the building, he'll still win this one. He's on his way back to the Title; but I hope he does a heel turn sooner than later.

Shawn Michaels vs. Batista (Stretcher Match)

Shawn Michaels is going to pull this one off, but not without interferance by Y2J! WWE would be stupid not to allow Y2J to make sure that HBK goes over, so that Y2J can get a piece of HBK....or...have MVP come in and get retribution for Batista smashing his set!

Whatever the case is...Batista is not winning this one.

Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (Falls Count Anywhere)

Umaga is losing this one. That's all I have to say about this.

Big Show vs. John Morrison vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk
(Singapore Cane Match
)

CM Punk for the win...it's about time that the briefcase holder gets a win.

Melina vs. Beth Phoenix ("I Quit" Match)

I don't really care about this one, but I'm sure The Glamazon is going to make Melina pay for being prettier than her.

Cena Better Than Savage

It was announced today that John Cena has held onto the gold longer than Randy Savage.

I must admit, Cena has had the title a lot longer than anyone else, and it's no wonder, he's putting butts in the seats. I don't know why...I just don't know why.

Savage of course hasn't been around wrestling for a long time, and it's interesting to note that he's looking at reality television soon. Which is just another revenue stream for ex-wwf/wwe stars to get into.

Mark Henry To Be Crowned Champion

I sure hope this does not happen, but with Edge scheduled to make a huge announcement that will have him DROPPING the World Championship Title, rumors are swarming as to who is going to be taking the helm. Edge injured a pectoral muscle. (look above)

Names include Batista,,Matt Hardy,Rey Mysterio Jr, and dare I say...MIZARK HENRY! (I didn't misspell that)

GASP!

I know MARK HENRY! MARK "I GET INJURED EVERY YEAR" HENRY is in the runnings for a world title run in WWE! This is the worst idea. I hope it's a complete lie. At least one source has listed him in the runnings.

I sure hope not. This is the worst idea that McMahon could ever follow through.

Mark Henry is slow, big, slow, and slow! He has 2 moves, maybe 3 tops. This is bad guys...and gals...(all 3 of you out there) this is really bad.

HHH wants Orton To Win Title

Randy Orton is loved by HHH so much that when HHH returns he wants to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

What does this mean?

This means a couple of things for WWE fans.

1) John Cena must lose the title to Randy Orton. Cena has beaten all comers so he would have to lose thanks to cheating, or something drastic like interference because if he loses cleanly to Orton, that means Orton is somehow better than all other comers that Cena has toppled, including Khali.

2) HHH really loves Orton or he KNOWS that Orton will do the job without complaints. HHH winning the world title upon his return can only mean that we'll see a lot of cowardly moves and no major wrestling for the guy as he'll most likely favor his recently surgically repaired leg.

This is going to be an outstanding summer if the H gets what he wants, and when you're the son in law of McMahon, you probably will get what you want.

Edge Not A Transitional Champion

Edge is NOT going to be another transitional champion this time around. The cards maybe in his favor as reports from WWE are citing that he will be a long term reigning champion.

I sure hope so, I like to see a younger, faster champion than the big guys always winning the belt. Furthermore expect Kennedy to turn face when wrestling a heel Edge. Edge may very well be on the Stone Cold Route, meaning that he might face Edge as a heel and turn midway through the match like Austin at Wrestlemania 13.

Hope to see a good lengthy reign for Edge.
