Tna Impact 2/11/10 Review
Man this show was so lame to start. I heard there were no matches set for the ppv this weekend, and people just talking bad about TNA, rightfully so, the show opened up with Hulk Hogan going to the ring. Erik Young came down to interrupt Hogan, and said he wanted a shot at the “band”. Hogan said to find them outside, and what not…it was a boring promo.
The eight card stud tournament qualifier match was next to come through.
The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated Orlando Jordan
This match wasn’t a classic masterpiece, but it had some good moments. The fans completely hate Jordan, that’s right. It’s a good thing, and I think that’s important for Jordan. He’s getting so much heat it’s great. The Pope, is a solid wrestler and put on a show, although a little light tonight. Orlando Jordan didn’t stink up the arena and did play it up against the Pope, the finale was ok, this match was good enough to keep me looking, that’s for sure.
Double J got the shaft with Bishoff, looks like he’s getting totally screwed on television.
Matt Morgan defeated Suicide
Looks like the Suicide angle is all over. He got killed in this match. Morgan looked strong and just blew through all Suicide’s attempts at offense. Morgan moves on in the tournament. This was a glorified jobber match to say the least.
Backstage Angle and Anderson, were interviewed by the biggest forehead in wrestling right now, and it wasn’t anything too special. A random microphone came down and Anderson said ANDERSON!
Brutus Magnus defeated The Amazing Red
The Amazing Red did almost everything possible to fight off Brutus, but just couldn’t put him away. Magnus won with a nice northern lights suplex. Red did some great counters, and hit fast and hard, but it wasn’t meant to be.
The Beautiful People defeated Tara & Angelina Love
This match wasn’t all that great, it had a lot of moments where the Beautiful People were just not that good at wrestling. They seemed scared, and were playing up the “divas” type of wrestling and maybe that’s what they were going for, but it made for terrible wrestling matches. This match was a cluster at the end, but The Beautiful People got the win, again. Not terrible, but not good. Lame.
Kennedy & Kurt Angle defeated Desmond Wolfe & Hernandez
Kurt Angle was trying his best to win this match basically all alone. He was taking control of this match until out of a mistake Desmond Wolfe was able to reverse things. Angle was getting worked over, and refused to tag Anderson. Anderson got a tag then threw Angle out of the ring, and won the match for the team! Angle looked pissed and Anderson basically looked strong! I hope Anderson wins this weekend.
Samoa Joe cut a promo and Aj Styles came down with Nature Boy. Samoa Joe unloaded against Aj Styles, and with the help of Ric Flair the two took out Joe.
The Band beat up Kurt Angle with Brass Knuckles. Hogan came out to the ring after the band beat up Kurt, and got inside the ring!
Hulk laid out Sixx and Scott Hall with Brass Knuckles.
Final Thoughts
Tna sucks.
I hate it.
There’s no change.

Undertaker Injures Kennedy and Gets Him Fired
Mr. Kennedy updated his official site and in it he talks about two instances that are really close to what may (or may not) have happened to him in the WWE that caused his injuries.
What do I think?
It sounds like THE UNDERTAKER injured Kennedy overseas or at a house show with an arm lock. What do you think?
Read Kennedy's blog post below:
"If I take a sledgehammer and SMASH you in the side of the head and you get hurt very badly, does that make you "injury prone"?
If I cut off your arm with a samurai sword, and you have to have it reattached (causing you to miss several months of work) are you also then to be considered..."injury prone"?
Well let's say that you're in a match in Italy standing on the apron during a ten man tag match, and a guy is supposed to come over and give you a little forearm which will cause you to drop to the floor, but INSTEAD, he decides to drop kick your ass into the 20th row, he virtually leg presses you off the apron, and you have a "Matrix" like moment in your head where you see yourself flying backwards through the air. You clear the mats that line the floor outside the ring and because you're trying to protect your head from smashing into the guardrail, you stretch your right arm over your head. At the moment you make IMPACT with the concrete floor, your arm stretched out over your head and the sudden stop causes the tendon in your latissimus dorsi (or that big back muscle that you see on bodybuilders, ya know the ones that look like wings...) to SNAP in two and it coils up down your side to the point that's in line with your belly button. Let's say.....hypothetically.......that this happened to you. Would you call yourself...."injury prone"?
Let's throw another "hypothetical situation" out there. Let's say that you're having a match with a guy who's just supposed to give you a lil' old schoolboy to end the match. Just a nice and easy rollup for the finish. In fact the night before he hit you with his finish and the crowd didn't really react as strongly as you would have liked it to, so the agent (or producer) who's in charge of your match that night has told your opponent specifically NOT to hit his finish. Now keep in mind that having said this, your opponent's finisher is probably the furthest thing from your mind. So as you're waiting for this nice little easy rollup for the finish, the guy leaps into the air, hooks your head tight, causing your right arm to get caught between your two bodies, and drives you chest first into the mat. You go from standing to laying on your stomach with your arm stretched across your chest and your shoulder pops out of it's socket, tearing that muscle about 60% away from the bone. Now again, would an event such as this make you......"injury prone"?
Now if something like this HAD ever happened to me (again, these are strictly hypothetical situations), I probably wouldn't say anything about it to anyone. I for one would never want to bury another talent, whine or cry about it, I'd probably just chalk it up to poor judgment, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time, rather than accusing someone of being a stiff in the ring. Let's face it, accidents happen in the wrestling business which is why there are countless videos of "wrestling screw-ups" on YouTube. Every once in awhile if you're in the wrestling business, you're gonna get a BOO-BOO."

Over Analyzing Wrestling: Injuries and More
Kennedy got into the news again, and guess what? He’s injured! That’s right, Kennedy seems to be having bad luck with staying healthy, and since getting suspended for the Juice, he’s once again on the injured list. This is the second time in recent years that he’s had an injury. He won’t be out too much longer, just a few weeks from what I’m hearing, but this can’t fair well for his stagnant push towards the midcard hell that Benjamin used to be in. Kennedy seems to just be having a string of bad luck, and this isn’t going to be a main seller for his potential, and most likely will slow down his non existent push. He’ll be back and be fed to Koslov most likely. Kennedy needs to stay healthy for long periods of time, and if the shoulder is going to be a problem, maybe he needs to get that thing worked on. Look at Randy Orton and his shoulder!
Mick Foley wants to quit. That’s right, he wants to quit because his boss Vince McMahon keeps yelling at him. I hear ya Foley, I wouldn’t want anyone yelling into my headset for hours on end, but then again, the paycheck man! I read that Foley is in a good financial state and doesn’t HAVE to work! What the heck? Foley! I hope you read what I say somehow, get a yellow pad of paper and start writing! That’s right! You’re a New York Times best selling Author, so get back to it! Forget the WWE and talking, and getting beat up for no reason! Just walk away, and start writing again and listening to Christmas music in August! I would quit if I were Foley, but I don’t know how Foley really is, so I guess I’m just talking out of ignorance. I know one thing’s for sure, if my job had a boss that screamed at me, and I didn’t have to work here, I wouldn’t.
Ric Flair is done with the WWE. Didn’t HE RETIRE? WHAT THE HECK? How is this news? This bugs me greatly! Who cares! He’s retired now! No more talk about Ric Flair! We don’t talk about Kevin Sullivan, Steamboat, and other retired wrestlers do we? Dangit!
Triple H sucks. That’s right, He sucks. Why? He just had a kid, he has the title, and he’s non existent on Smackdown, yet he has a match with Khali coming up at Summerslam? What the heck? Someone strip Triple H of the title for inactivity, please! CM Punk is turning into a workhorse over on Raw and Triple H is just living it up. Nice, way to show the other guys that being champion means a lot of work. If he’s going to take time off, at least get the title on someone who’s going to be defending it, or better yet, all titles need to get the same defense schedule as Punk. That guy is wrestling single’s matches each Monday Night. I demand more out of the champions if Punk is going to be used this way.
No sign of Mysterio. Maybe he’ll just get fired with the rest of the cruiserweights.
TNA news? I don’t know if anything that comes out of TNA is real or fake. I mean didn’t Kaz quit? Not really, just in the show. Apparently Tomko quit? Maybe. Team 3 D wan’ts more money? I don’t know. TNA sucks at promoting themselves sometimes, and they are a LONG way from being a true alternative to WWE like WCW was.
That does it for what I had to talk about. Wrestling so far this week hasn’t been great, Raw was good though, but not great. Maybe Impact and Smackdown will rescue things a bit.

WWE Smackdown Review 7/18/2008 The Wedding

WWE Smackdown was not exactly looking so good from the start, but then again, things were funny, and why not? I’ll go with it.
The show opens with the big wedding between Edge and Vickie, and no one interrupts. Odd huh? Usually people jump in and tear things apart. This is a pre-recorded wedding, then we get to go to the reception, and we are on the stage with Edge and Vickie, the Edgekins, and Chavo Guerrero.
In Ring Segment 1:
Edge and Vickie come out to a lot of heat, the fans hate this, and they sit down for a reception dinner/table looking thing. Chavo Guerrero says a little something about the couple, and says that Edge is a perfect fit into the family.
Chavo introduces something that was made for Edge, and it’s Edge on the Cover of WWE magazine holding the World title, and declaring him winner at The Great American Bash.
Edge gets the mic.
Finlay and Hornswoggle come out to the ring.
Edge says that Hawkins and Ryder are too smart to fall for their cheating ways, and that HE is going to be the special guest referee in the match up between them and Hawkins and Ryder.
Hawkins & Ryder vs. Finlay and Hornswoggle
Edge served as special guest referee
I didn’t expect much from this match, and you know what? There wasn’t a whole lot. Edge kept interfering with everything that Finlay did, which was really annoying to me. On the other hand, he was getting a TON of heat, so maybe that was the point of his involvement. Although, I’m not sure why Finlay has to basically job for the Edgekins, as if that proves anything.
The match starts off slow, standard match up. Finlay takes a lot of punishment.
Hornswoggle comes in and helps Finlay clear house, but Edge tries to grab him. Edge then gets caught in the Celtic Cross, but ends up getting out and spearing Finlay, and Ryder and Hawkins capitalize for the win.
A glorified squash match here. This was a waste of talent and time. The groom and his men go back to the stage and are greeted by Bam & Chavo.
In Ring Segment 2:
Edge and Vickie have their first dance, and some lame singers start a duet. This is complete cheese, seriously, this is so cheese, I hate this.
The Big Show comes out and cults in for a dance with Vickie. Edge gets upset, and says that he better get his butt in the ring and face his opponents.
Big Show vs. Shelton Benjamin , Vladimir Koslov, MVP & Great Khali
No Contest
Big Show didn’t do a whole lot, he blew right through the smaller guys, but when Khali came in and he clotheslined the big guy, the other three teamed up and beat him up. Khali tries to give Show the Khali Bomb, and drops Show on his back hard.
The four guys then beat down Show and we cut to commercial.
This was a horrible match, and it just made me upset to see Show get squashed like crazy.
In Ring Segment 3:
Vickie is ready to throw her bouquet into the crowd, and is getting major heat. She yells, Excuse me! And the crowd really lets her have it.
The Divas are out waiting to catch the bouquet, but a brawl ensues between Michelle McCool and Natalya. McCool is thrown out the running. Cherry catches the bouquet and Vickie says that she never knew Cherry could ever get married. She then says that Cherry must wrestle her! That’s right, Vickie vs. Cherry for later on tonight!
But first, she has to go through Natalya.
Natalya defeated. Cherry
Cherry didn’t have a chance. She gets mauled by Natalya, and taps out fast to the Sharpshooter.
Vickie defeated Cherry
Cherry is out cold, and Vickie jumps in for the cover and quickly wins this match.
This is horrible, I hate how the WWE doesn’t respect the athleticism that these women might have. They end up just squashing the women, and making a mockery of women’s wrestling on Smackdown. Who cares right?
The TNA knockouts are one BILLION times better than this piece of garbage segment that they are running into the ground.
Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel defeated Jimmy Wang Yang
This match saw Brian Kendrick as a solo wrestler with a new gimmick and a new bodyguard. The match had some quick reversals to get things started, and ended up getting into a more fast paced cruiserweight style, and really was impressive. Wang Yang is really solid, and although he didn’t pull this match off, he really is interesting to watch. The bodyguard angle is interesting, and the name is my father’s name (Ezekiel) so that’s kind of cool. The match took a turn towards boring, as the WWE doesn’t allow all their cruiserweights to take the air, but right when this thing was headed for some great moments, the ending collapsed forcing another boredom movement from the WWE’s cruiserweight division.
Sliced Bread Number 2 for the three count, an assist from Kendrick’s bodyguard Ezekiel and we have a new singles wrestler with a goofy looking motorcycle jacket. This guy’s new gimmick sucks! They compared him (the commentators) to a young “attitude era” Shawn Michaels.
No way! This kid is NOTHING like Shawn Michaels. Give me a break!
I wish the WWE would take the smaller wrestlers more serious. WCW did, and they beat Raw a TON of times in a row. I’m jonesing for some good lucha libre, too bad Seattle doesn’t have it on regular programming. I guess that’s one down side to living out here in the great Northwest.
Backstage Segment 1:
Edge is given a box of Slim Jim. He says that he’ll get to his spicy side later. He then runs off.
Umaga defeated Kennedy
Back and forth match up came through in this match. At first anyways, then it was all Umaga! Umaga had a nerve hold on Kennedy for a good portion of this match up, Kennedy started to mount a comeback and was ready for the Mic Check, but it was blocked and Umaga hit the Samoan spike for the win! Umaga takes out Kennedy clean!
*Interesting note, Edge is in a Slim Jim commercial with his “spicy” side causing chaos at the DMV
Biscuits & Gravy vs. The Miz and Morrison (Champions)
I feel like I’ve already seen this match a million times before, Jesse is isolated for the grand majority of the match up, Festus gets tagged in and he cleans up house for a good moment. He’s really athletic, and is surprising to me that he’s given such a stupid gimmick. He flows really quickly, and like a freight train hits everything clean. Jesse nearly wins the match up with a tag back in, and then Festus takes a mean hit to the ring post.
The Miz then isolates Jesse, lands the reality check and gets the 1-2-3 with ease.
This match was fast, and easily executed. Festus turns into Jello at the end, and this was lame. This match was really horrible. Miz and Morrison are horrible champions, but then again, what are you going to do? The tag team division in the WWE is a big joke to me. At least TNA keeps it somewhat consistent!
Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
No Contest
The Hardy boys know each other so well. This match was interesting to see, and the two put on a great show. It started off a little slow, but it picked up as these sort of matches do.
The wedding party crashes the match, and that’s too bad, the match was getting really good. Edge and the crew beat down the Hardy’s and leave them in the center of the ring rolling around.
In Ring Segment 4:
One of the worst segments in history; Edge, Vickie and the familia were all in the ring talking about random crap. Triple H hits the ramp and shows a video of Edge and the wedding planner. This segment was really boring and really made me upset to have to sit through this.
After three false alarms, we finally see Edge kissing the wedding planner and this of course upsets Vickie and she starts screaming and yelling. The yelling goes straight through the end of the show.
This is the worst ending to a wrestling show in a very long time; I hate this WWE product.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy (No Contest)
The show felt really long. I didn’t like the whole reception angle thing, and I can’t believe it took so long in the show for anyone to mess things up. The cake getting thrown on Chavo was funny, but it was over due. The majority of the matches were pointless and just seemed thrown together. I wonder why WWE is doing this, and if it knows how to even throw wrestling shows any longer? I know for a fact that the live shows are awesome, but watching this Smackdown was just not as fun. The main Event was really cool, as I am a huge fan of both wrestlers, and although they weren’t killing each other out there, it was one of the highlights of the week in wrestling.
Why did they waste Umaga vs. Kennedy on television? Furthermore, why did the heel win clean? Usually bad guys do not win clean on television, and we usually get a rematch on ppv for a great victory from the good guys. Regardless, Kennedy looked weak against the Samoan Bulldozer, and one must wonder where exactly they are going with Kennedy. I’m sure a feud will develop between the two, but it’s sad to see that Kennedy isn’t getting that epic push that he was getting before he got suspended for being on the juice. If nothing else, that Kennedy and Umaga match up was definitely a highlight for me, and it could be match of the week. Hands down, one of the better match ups this week had to offer in wrestling.
Then the ending, what a piece of crap ending; this is suppose to create heat between Triple H and Edge? WTF WWE? Seriously, this has been one of the worst weeks in wrestling for WWE. This is sad. Seriously, sadness abounds for wrestling fans that watched the ending to Raw and Smackdown. Ecw was the best show this week, and a close second was TNA.
What’s next for the guys at WWE? Not really sure.

WWE Smackdown 7/4/2008 Fatal Fourway Time

MVP opened up the show, and you know what? The guy has some mic skills, to offset his wrestling skills.
HHH is his guest, and one has to wonder if MVP is going to get a title shot sooner than later.
HHH is hilarious, and even cites some older references for those “smart” wrestling fans. Vickie comes out to major heat, and MVP and HHH bond a little in making fun of Edge.
Vickie announces Edge vs. HHH for the WWE Title at The Great American Bash.
The New WWE Divas title was shown…it looks different than the women’s title. It has a HUGE purple butterfly on it. Lame.

Michelle McCool defeated. Victoria , Cherry , Maryse and Kelly Kelly (Golden Star Match)
This match wasn’t that good. After seeing TNA’s Knockouts the WWE divas are horrible. This match was a free for all, the first person to grab a star that was on a pole, would get a shot at facing Natalya for the diva’s title. Michelle McCool came out of nowhere to bring the star down from the pole and win the match. A boring affair to say the least.
The divas title is a Smackdown only woman’s championship.
Jesse & Festus defeated Hawkins & Ryder
What a piece of crap match. These two teams had a fairly decent match up, but it wasn’t all that great. There were a lot of moments that I just was bored. Your standard face in peril match up, Festus comes in and clears house, then the two win the match up. I don’t like either teams, and this match was just standard, and I felt like I’ve already seen it one hundred times before.
Afterwards, Edge came down and beat the living hell out of Festus out of frustration. Jesse was restrained while Festus was getting a beat down from the former champion. Edge then dropped a chair shot to the face of Festus, knocking the big man out.

Jeff Hardy defeated John Morrison
Want to know how to bury the WWE Tag Champions? By having them defeated by the latest new comer to your show. Jeff Hardy is awesome, he’s fast, he can move and has some great matches, but to defeat one half of the tag team champions really makes the title holders look really weak.
Morrison is good, and worked on the shoulder of Hardy throughout the match. He is a lot better than when he first showed up in WWE and what a match up this was. While I don’t agree that Hardy should have won, it was still a really impressive singles match up, and had all the great Hardy spots, alongside some great reversals. If you missed it, you missed one of the cleanest power bombs in recent years. Hardy wins with the swanton bomb.

Umaga defeated Funaki
Why is Funaki still employed? Seriously, this was just bad. Things can’t get worse for Funaki. Umaga demolishes Funaki in a fury, landing all his moves and then knocking him out with the Samoan spike. This was a throwaway match, but somewhat cool to watch. Funaki though, man, he has been a jobber for too long.

Matt Hardy defeated Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, and Chavo Guerrero (Fatal Fourway) U.S Title Match
I had this confused with a four corners match up. All wrestlers were in the ring at the same time, and everyone got some moves in. There was some tandem spots, and this was almost a ppv quality match up. It usually wound up with two people facing off against each other, rather than just a melee. Kennedy looked strong early on, and I was surprised at Chavo & Benjamin’s involvement. Hardy squeaks out a victory in this one, and closes out Smackdown with another victory.
Overall Smackdown wasn’t half bad. I thought that there was a lot of talking back stage, and there was a lot of random developments between Edge and Vickie that no one really cares about. I thought I saw Lita backstage, but it wasn’t her. Overall, not the greatest Smackdown I’ve seen, and not as good as Raw, but enough wrestling to make for a great night. I was surprised by the amount of wrestling on this show, as the main event had about 30 minutes to develop into a great one. Almost an instant classic, but definitely not as good as PPV, but dangit, it was awesome to see a good match on television for a change.

Raw Is War 5/26/2008
Raw was actually worthwhile this time, in some ways.
I didn’t care for the initial talking segment. They should have ripped each other to shreds, and forgotten the mic skills. To quote the joker, why so serious?

The women are working hard on their short comings, and this match proved it. This is a moment of progress, but overall, not the greatest match ever, but good enough to provide this amazing bridge, submission.

The tag titles defended? YES! This was definitely a good thing, but the match was a little short, and I knew there was not going to be a title change.

The best thing that came out of this match was that Ted Dibiase Jr. came out, and looks to be another Randy Orton, but can he work? Time will tell. Who will be his tag team partner?

The tag match had the crowd really into it. The crowd was really hot for this match, and the ending, well, the ending had the heels over, but man…what a crowd reaction to the entire match.
Carlito Jobs for Kennedy, and Kennedy gets a major beat down from The pirate…or whatever his new gimmick is.

I thought for sure we were going to see a Y2J turn, and we should have, but instead he shows mercy on his opponent, although the match was shorter than expected.
Raw wasn’t half bad, I liked it a lot in many ways, but I would have liked to see more action, that’s for sure.
There was a lot of commercials for One Night Stand, they ran through the card a few times through the show, and had a segment with Roddy Piper training Cousin Sal for a match with Santino.
I was also tired of the Rambo commercials, that's for sure.

Raw Before Backlash 5/12/2008
Alright, Raw’s last hope before the big event this weekend really did a good job shaking things up, and kept me interested with a few sore spots to work out.
First and foremost, the women’s match was lame. I’m tired of seeing the same match ups and the same old botched moves. Someone please shoe WWE a TNA’s women’s division tape.
Hot Rod coming out to a nice ovation was awesome, I enjoyed seeing good ol’ Piper out there. The tag team title match had me glad, but the execution of the match was really poor. The match quality was low and it didn’t do a lot of things to move forward the tag division. Although, it does look like WWE is hearing critics that said a title defense hasn’t been had in a long time. Moreover, the match was a quick one and while the interference by Roddy Piper was interesting on one point, the match itself was really short, considering how long these two teams have been wrestling each other. I could have done without this match, and I’m sure a rematch will probably happen at the ppv.
Mr. Kennedy came out and squashed Snitsky. Remember when Snitsky was a monster heel and was defeating people left and right. Well, in true WWE form, they squashed him fast. How long before he gets fired?

Jeff Hardy returns and didn’t miss a step. He went over on Umaga, who also used to be a hard opponent for most of the roster. Looks like Umaga might get fired soon too…good riddance.
Cryme Tyme’s match looked really cool until after the match Lance Cade turned on Murdoch. Once again the WWE screws up their tag team division by inciting a split between two members that form one of the only tag team championship caliber teams.

What next? Will they split up Cryme Tyme Too?

Randy Orton vs. John Cena with Y2J as the special guest referee was near PPV quality and had a lot of action, which surprised me. The length could’ve been longer, but I was genuinely enjoying this one, and while the outcome wasn’t what I thought should’ve happened, it did a great job building up the ppv. Although, I would have appreciated more HBK in the ending, but what happened instead was a cage lowered and Orton and HHH had their last minute feud fight before the big cage match.
Orton looked weak in the end, and will most likely lose this Sunday.

Overall Raw was ok, but not nearly as incredible as some of the late 90’s Austin era Raw’s. However, it did pick up the action, and involved a lot of intertwining feuds. The ppv should be interesting, and ECW tonight should do slightly better than most weeks past.

Raw Report 4.28.2008

Quick Raw Results for April 28th 2008
Women's Champion Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Cherry, Maria & Ashley def. Beth Phoenix, Layla, Victoria, Natalya, Melina & Jillian
JBL def. Robbie
Paul London & Brian Kendrick def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
Paul & Katie Lea Burchill def. Super Crazy (Handicap Match)
World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes def. Santino Marella
WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton (No Contest)
WWE RAW came through with a post Backlash event that really didn't do a whole lot to push the lower guys, and really got stale towards the middle.
First and foremost, why is there no love for Super Crazy? Why is Super Crazy still working for WWE? He should be in Mexico feuding with the top names in Lucha Libre, because getting buried every other week on Raw is just a waste of talent. Not only that Paul Burchill is back, and no he's not a pirate any more, and totally squashes Super Crazy.
The rest of raw really bored me. I didn't like Cade and Murdoch facing the same opponents for another televised event. I understand if they are wrestling Kendrick and London (they need a team name) on non-televised events and house shows, but televised events should not showcase such repetition.
Cody Rhodes wrestled Santino...again? It's getting ridiculous. I hate when WWE sets up tag division matches in this way. This build up makes me tired.
The Divas match was ok, they are improving, although not as good as the TNA girls yet.
JBL is on the show?
Hbk and Y2j are on the show too?
Boredom movements, that's for sure.
The main event looked promising....
Kennedy and Regal? Really? Is this really what they are leading up to? I sure hope not.
The main event was blacked out, Regal pulled the plug and we get the following for Judgment Day! Which means Orton and HHH will have a lighter television schedule leading up to what should be a brutal match at Judgment Day.

Hardy Wins No Kennedy Wins

Look what I found!
Last night Kennedy Lost to Jeff Hardy...but according to wwe.com as of 6:11 AM
Matches
* Candice Michelle, Mickie James & Maria def. Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, Melina & Jillian Hall
* Snitsky def. Val Venis
* Triple H def. Randy Orton & Umaga (disqualification)
* The Highlanders def. Paul London & Brian Kendrick
* Mr. Kennedy def. Jeff Hardy
Do you see what it states? It says Mr. Kennedy defeated Jeff hardy.
This definitely begs to question whether or not the programmers and wwe.com even watched RAW last night or if the whole match up was a mistake. Did Hardy accidentally pin Kennedy for the 3 count?
What happened?
Or did the wwe.com team just get fired for making a mistake like this on their site?
It's funny to catch these things from a billion dollar company.

Summerslam Afterthoughts

After a long absence from PPV I finally broke down and ordered one. WWE Summerslam was better than I had originally expected. I knew HHH was going to win over Booker, I knew Rey Mysterio was going to win, and the rest of the night had some good spots too.
John Cena and that leg drop, man oh man, that was cooler than I had anticipated.Randy Orton put up a great fight and I thought for sure he was going to win it. He of course fell short, but man, what a close match. The crowd was way into both men, and were heard cheering loudly through all aspects of the match. Even a rest hold from Orton got cheers.
Umaga and the triple threat match had me thinking Kennedy was going to take it. Instead...it proved otherwise. Oh well.
Rey Mysterio in silver paint was really weird. He's a lot slower and seems fatter now.
HHH looked lean and up to the challenge. The missed Harlem Hangover had me screaming out loud! I haven't seen that move in a while.
Cm Punk getting screwed was lame.
No Jackass on the show...how funny is that?
That's about it. The show was kind of cool, and well worth the price. I liked it.

A Raw For Jobbers
Last nights Raw had more stupid moments than most recent broadcasts.
They offered a lot of crap with no substance....lets look back at some of the worst of last night.

WOW! That is the world's worst move ever! The legends of wrestling are really easy to defeat with moves like this. WOW! A boot...well more like the other side of the boot seems to paralyze opponents. This is the worst.
How does beating an aging old timer make Orton look stronger?
Have Orton win a heated battle with Kennedy or Umaga or anyone else, then prove his strength, not get Slaughter to JOB again! This makes him look stupid.

See that? That is exactly why Booker DID NOT WANT to go to RAW. He's now wrestling an old time has been in Lawler. Sure Lawler was great, but he's a commentator, NOT a relevant wrestler at this point. Booker loses major credibility here and proves that Raw didn't need BOOKER and his King gimmick. I feel bad for the guy, he's trapped in the lower mid-card hell area with this bout of old time losses.

I am not even going to say that obvious. Apparently there are no other number one contenders to the Intercontinental championship.

The tag team division melted long ago and they just threw more trash on top of it. Two jobbers on raw? What happened to competition amongst tag teams....oh right...they aren't seen as important any longer. Why must I see this crap? Is it Saturday morning and 1990? Is Superstars on? Is this the main event? Why? Why WWE?

What's this? A Carlito Win? This makes no sense from a writing stand point. What now? Will Carlito get a title shot? Only to lose? Or will Orton interfere, costing Carlito the victory and propelling him into a feud or dare I say...Triangle Match! The winner of Orton vs. Carlito will face Cena later in the night! Nope. We'll probably see this one end fast and early since Carlito is hated by the WWE. What happened to him last week? How is he in the main event now?
Bad stuff huh?
What about the good you say?
Here are the best parts of last nights raw:

Kennedy vs. Lashley...good stuff.

Cody's got some major game. His 1st win was impressive, too bad Daivari isn't really relevant anymore.

WWE Hates Carlito Now....Tag Teams Suck...Cena is a god
Raw was just bad last night. With a moment of amazing detail.....but first things first...

Does the WWE hate Carlito? Remember when Carlito first joined WWE? He won the U.S title straight out, defeating JOHN CENA the unbeatable god of Raw. Even Carlito's mini feud with Cena was good, and introduced a new character that supposedly stabbed Cena! That was kind of cool. Now fast forward through midcard hell to not even a blirb to wrestling with Ric "I'm Old" Flair and now where is he? Sure he beat the Sandman and his team beat down a cancer survivor in Jim Duggan, but then what happens? He gets demolished by Lashley for spitting in his face. While I thought the segment was funny, the WWE blew a potentially good feud by having Lashley trash him within seconds. Regal's expression was worth while though.

I caught Cade yelling out "We're the Tag Team Champions!"..wow...really? I didn't know that you were one of the champs, considering you were introduced as the champions, and you're holding the belts high in the air. I thought you were faking it...obviously you're a champion...in a match called "match of champions". I knew from the start that Candice was going to run away and leave SUPER Cena to take the match to new heights. Hardy's run in, proved that Cena can defeat the tag-champs by himself! I hate this fact. I want to know that the tag-team champions together...as a unit can defeat the WORLD CHAMPION! The World Champion should easily beat the TAG Champs like that...it's lame. That means the tag-titles are not even worth defending or featuring, because they are weak. 2 wrestlers, who are champions can not beat 1? This is Hogan syndrome in 2007! That was lame.

Jeff Hardy vs. Kennedy was the highlight of the night for me. I didn't even mind the count out loss, the match had some great spots and Kennedy reacted so well and fought off Hardy's offense, until he was counted out. It was a cool match. I enjoyed it. The highlight of raw.
That and Santino tripping two divas! Now that was great!

Cena got an RKO! Wow...that really was a highlight. Who has Randy Orton defeated to get a title shot? Oh right..the new guy twice, and Dusty Rhodes. The cowbell match wasn't even that good...think about it...a shot to the head with the bell and it's over? Real great booking on that one. Randy Orton doesn't suck as bad as he used to, but he's definitely NOT deserving of a title shot at this point. What ever happened to the Intercontinental Champion's right to a title shot? I'd rather see Umaga face Cena again then to see another Randy Orton rest hold fest. Orton beats the legends, then he gets a title shot?
Heck..let me wrestle moolah, duggan, and the geriatrics and then strap the belt on me.
Raw stunk like I did yesterday. I showered...but Raw still smelled.
Also on Raw...Cody Rhodes loses again...if he costs Orton the title at Summerslam..a good feud can be made out of the rematch and ultimately a cage match or something to end the feud. But alas...WWE isn't that smart. There was a battle of the kings...divas match...commercials...and other random boredom.

Dead Diva, Dead Mexican,Dead Sandman,Dead Raw
As my title suggests, I found some major dead spots on raw last night. I couldn't believe it, but some of the best action and best moments were received with little to no fan reaction.

First and foremost, Super Crazy got worked by Kennedy. That reverse Suplex was insane. Super Crazy is just that, and Kennedy proves he's a master technician by not hurting the other guy in this very dangerous move.
The Divas match was highlighted by a sick move by Melina. A guillotine like leg drop from a standing position into the splits into a cover! I was impressed by that one, but the match was a little stiff for my tastes. But that wasn't the major thing I noticed, the main focus for me was when the Women's Champion Candice Michelle came out, the crowd was dead. Maybe one or two claps, mainly from Jerry Lawler. Why would the WWE put in a diva that no one likes? Heck, Melina gets more attention and she's not even a Face! WWE needs to get the belt onto a diva that gets crowd reaction as a champion. Candice can't even wrestle! I think the divas look good at times, but can't wrestle. Well, Victoria can, and I'd love to get some Victoria lovin...but I'm a fat mexican in Seattle and well...I hear she doesn't like fat mexican stalkers, so I stay away.

Cody Rhodes had the most impressive altitude in his Missile Dropkick, that even my wife noticed that he wasn't the average wrestler. First off, he's not built like a truck, he's not 7 feet tall, and yet he's allowed to perform such a "high risk" maneuver. Amazing! This photo tells it all, and wow, I was so impressed that I was actually cheering for the guy. Randy Orton ruined it for me, but it was nice to see a change of pace for a change. I hope Dusty Rhodes knocks the snot out of Orton at the Bash. If Dusty goes down, I'm going to be very upset.

In another post where I say someone is too old. (except Flair) The Sandman is Old. Too Old! Look how he flails around like a drunk....nevermind. Carlito seemed to be taking some liberties, and some of the shots and moves seemed very forced and shoot style. Sandman was really getting a beating, then Regal came in and showed he still had fight left in him because he was unloading on Sandman as if he just insulted his mother! Hacksaw Jim Duggan saves the day with his 2 x 4 which is probably going to prompt a match at the Great American Bash. I told my wife that I thought the match should be a 2 x 4 & Kendo Stick on a pole match. Or a sticks vs. brass knuckles match up. Carlito could spit apples, Regal could knock someone out, the kendo stick and 2 x 4 could be weapons, and it would probably be more extreme than tuesday nights.
Face vs. Face time again, and John Cena is going to get my vote of confidence. However, I could see that being derailed by a DQ finish setting up Summerslam's no dq, fatal fourway, or some gimmick match to end the summer. We'll have to wait and see.
A dead crowd...raw wasn't too great, but had some nice spots. I enjoyed it.

Kennedy Shoots On Mero?

In a great response to the recent coverage of the Benoit tragedy Ken Kennedy & Eric Bischoff had some great exchange of words on the internet. Not aimed at each other, but along the lines of what I was thinking about.
The Hitman also said something in the CNN interview that was amazing.
First and foremost: Kennedy talks about how all these wrestlers from yesteryear are coming out on television as "experts" but yet they haven't been in the WWE since they instituted the new drug testing policies after the death of Eddie Guerrero.
Johnny B. Badd is NOT an expert! Neither is Steve Blackman at this point, and neither are a lot of other guys that are talking on national news channels. It's stupid.
They are just seeking another 10 minutes of mention on television.
It's stupid.
Hitman answered, "I don't know, ask John Cena on that one", after Larry King asked Hart if the WWE did drug testing.
Now that's smart. Hart wasn't in WWE for the last few years so he forwarded the question to the WWE Champion John Cena!
That's smart.
Mero and others, just aren't.

A Better Raw

I was moderately impressed by how the Raw show went last night.
Lashley made me a believer, alongside Jeff Hardy! Wow! The match was great, and it was definitely because Kennedy and Booker T. were amazing and the timing of the four of them wrestled one heck of an entertaining match.

Santino impressed me too, he put in a lot of offense in his rematch with Umaga, and although I heavily dislike Umaga, this match had me cheering for Santino.

Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Orton has a great potential, BUT only if Rhodes DOES NOT DO THE JOB FOR RANDY! I do not want to see Orton bury Dusty, or even beat him. Randy Orton should get beaten so badly, because he needs to respect a little more. The Great American Bash seems stacked right now.
Lastly. Did anyone notice Booker T. Looking at the monitors during the HHH return segment with the song "King of Kings" playing? I think there is more to this than meets the eye if you were lucky enough to catch it.

Kennedy Would've Been Champ

"All indications were that Mr. Kennedy was supposed to win the World Title from the Undertaker until he was injured. After his injury, the decision to place the title on Edge was the replacement plan."
I called it! But then again, so did a lot of other people out there. Wouldn't it have been great too? Kennedy with the world title would have an endless supply of middle weight guys to defend against. The Undertaker losing to Kennedy would have been great.
Now we have Edge vs. Batista times 3! That's a lot of bad news for me. I want to see more Edge vs. anyone but Matt Hardy & Batista.
No one listens to this guy though.

Edge Not A Transitional Champion

Edge is NOT going to be another transitional champion this time around. The cards maybe in his favor as reports from WWE are citing that he will be a long term reigning champion.
I sure hope so, I like to see a younger, faster champion than the big guys always winning the belt. Furthermore expect Kennedy to turn face when wrestling a heel Edge. Edge may very well be on the Stone Cold Route, meaning that he might face Edge as a heel and turn midway through the match like Austin at Wrestlemania 13.
Hope to see a good lengthy reign for Edge.
