Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal
Regal was wrestling completely strong style, hitting only heavy impact moves. It was interesting to see what was going down here, as Tatsu was getting worked hard for a change. After getting beat up most of this match, Yoshi managed to pin William Regal out of the blue, and while Regal looked great, Yosh gets the win. I don’t get it, he’s ok, but the fans need to get behind him or boo him before he is fired.
Ezekiel Jackson defeated Jobber #928
Ezekiel Jackson won a squash match. This was dumb, I hated it. Jackson killed a jobber, oh well. Nothing see here.
Kozlov came out and confronted Jackson, the two are headed for a collision course. Kozlov beat up the jobber, for no apparent reason.
Shelton Benjamin defeated Goldust
Goldust finally gets a legit match up to really showcase that he’s still got it. However, Shelton Benjamin is the one getting the push here, obviously, but you would have forgotten that because Goldust was getting a good portion of the offense in. In fact, Goldust hasn’t been this good in a long time, he was following up everything with a certain focus and was actually trying harder than any other time I’ve seen in him in recent comebacks. Shelton Benjamin hit Paydirt and this match was over.
Tyler Rex Paul defeated Burchill
This match was boring, and even though both competitors were trying really hard, it just wasn’t merging that well. Tyler Rex was the obvious faster man, and I noticed that Paul was gaining some weight, so maybe he’s on his way out. Tyler Rex’s springboard dropkick was impressive, he seemed to float in the air, a great display. Tyler Rex squeaks one out of this match as he surprised Burchill with a quick pin.
The Abraham Washington Show was next. It sucked. Christian and Tommy Dreamer were the guests, and they just listented as the dead audience passed out. This sucked, Washington still has no charisma, although it was new….even for the wwe, can Washington wrestle though? We’ll have to wait and see.
