ECW on SyFy 2/16/10 Review

The Big Show & The Miz defeated Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu

Yoshi was getting great offense in on the Miz, but Big Show was too much for Yoshi. Once Miz tagged in the big man, things were getting really bad. Yoshi was getting worked over huge. Goldust got into the match and was hitting big on The Miz, but Big Show punched him in the stomach and dropped him, and this match was done fast.

The Abraham Washington show sucked….it was just dumb. A lot of people came through, but no one cared.

Ezekiel defeated Christian to win the ECW Championship

This match was a tribute to the classic ECW brand. The two men beat the hell out of each other with plunder and more. Zack Ryder interfered and William Regal interfered all to no avail. It was a good overall match up, for what it was.

In the end Regal helped Ezekiel win the last championship.

That’s all folks…what a stupid way to end things. Next week’s reality based show looks stupid…I can’t believe I’ll have to watch it.

ECW on ScyFy 1/5/10 Results and Review More Homecoming

ECW is a boring show for me. This week especially since I had to review 2 shows yesterday.

ECW on ScyFy 1/5/10 Results

Shelton Benjamin defeated Chavo Guerrero
Ezekiel Jackson defeated Kozlov
Cm Punk defeated Mark Henry

ECW on ScyFy 1/5/10 Review

Christian came out and cut a promo, Cm Punk interrupted him and cut another nice heel promo. It wasn’t half bad, and I liked the banter.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Chavo Guerrero

Did Benjamin just get a good match in with Chavo? Somewhat. Chavo Guerrero is one of the most under appreciated cruiserweights that WWE has. Benjamin dragged him through a good match, and I didn’t hate this one, but it wasn’t four stars by any stretch of the imagination, that’s for sure.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Kozlov

Yet again, we have a reset of this feud. I’m personally tired of it, just in case you weren’t. These two guys have no charisma against each other in the ring and it’s somewhat tiring to see. I am not a big fan of tough guy matches with little to no excitement in ring. This match was slow and boring, there’s no two ways about it. If you liked this match, you must really be pining for the 60’s era pro-wrestling days.

Cm Punk defeated Mark Henry

I don’t know what the WWE is doing with Mark Henry but he’s constantly losing. Once again he loses, but this time because of an assist from Luke Gallows. Punk wins another match, and he continues to win despite being one of the most hated wrestlers on Smackdown. Punk wrestled a good overall match with Henry, and the two were given a little time to develop something interesting. It ended swiftly and that was the show.

This show was alright, it was compact and fast. ECW is getting somewhat tiring for me though.

ECW on ScyFy 7/28/09 Results The Christian Era Begins

ECW on ScyFy 7/28/09 Results

Tyler Reks defeated Paul Burchill
Kozlov defeated a jobber
Shamus defeated Goldust
Christian defeated Zack Ryder

ECW on ScyFy 7/28/09 Review

Tyler Reks defeated Paul Burchill

Paul Burchill is the new Brooklyn Brawler, for wrestlers today. Meaning that you have to wrestle Paul to see if you’re ready for a full time gig with WWE. That’s how they would measure you in the old days. Anyways, this match was interesting at times. Paul is gaining weight and is slowing down, it showed with Tyler Reks hitting fast moves for a big man. For a big guy he’s fast, really fast. He also uses the high flying stuff to his advantage, going for High Body Blocks off the top, and of course his finisher the Springboard Missile Dropkick. This time around he nearly messed up his own finisher, but he still hit it hard, dude can go, Tyler Reks is not half bad. Paul Burchill? He hit a few nice suplexes, but it wasn’t enough. Tyler Reks wins in his second match against Paul Burchill.

Kozlov defeated a jobber

Kozlov defeated a jobber. Yep, not much to say about that. I hate jobber matches, we’re a far cry away from WWF Wrestling Challenge on Sunday mornings. Kozlov wins with an easy match.

Shamus defeated Goldust

Shamus is extremely white, I’m not sure how he can maintain that on the road, but so far he has. Goldust was using his weight as an advantage, pushing Shamus around and forcing the match to focus on a harder style, but Shamus kept pacing himself, hitting basic moves to get the advantage on the veteran wrestler. Shamus somehow pulled this match off, and actually was quite impressive towards the end, beating Goldust with relative ease.

Christian defeated Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder wrestled Christian in the main event, and was actually putting on a half way decent match. This was made better due in large part that Ryder can go full speed, unlike Dreamer. Christian of course was putting the Boots to Ryder, with his standard set up of fast paced wrestling arsenal. Ryder was kicking out of a lot of heavier artillery from Christian, and it was interesting to note how this match was going, considering the champion wasn’t winning this one as easily as I’d have thought. Christian eventually hit the Killswitch and it was over. Christian wins a hard fought won.

ECW wasn't that great, but that last match was half way decent. Next week Christian and Dreamer Extreme Rules for the ECW Championship Belt!

ECW on ScyFY 7/21/09 Results and Review The Abraham Washington Disaster

Ecw on ScyFy 7/21/09 Results

Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal
Shelton Benjamin defeated Goldust
Ezekiel Jackson defeated Jobber #928
Tyler Rex defeated Paul Burchill

Ecw on ScyFy 7/21/09 Review

Yoshi Tatsu defeated William Regal

Regal was wrestling completely strong style, hitting only heavy impact moves. It was interesting to see what was going down here, as Tatsu was getting worked hard for a change. After getting beat up most of this match, Yoshi managed to pin William Regal out of the blue, and while Regal looked great, Yosh gets the win. I don’t get it, he’s ok, but the fans need to get behind him or boo him before he is fired.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Jobber #928

Ezekiel Jackson won a squash match. This was dumb, I hated it. Jackson killed a jobber, oh well. Nothing see here.

Kozlov came out and confronted Jackson, the two are headed for a collision course. Kozlov beat up the jobber, for no apparent reason.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Goldust

Goldust finally gets a legit match up to really showcase that he’s still got it. However, Shelton Benjamin is the one getting the push here, obviously, but you would have forgotten that because Goldust was getting a good portion of the offense in. In fact, Goldust hasn’t been this good in a long time, he was following up everything with a certain focus and was actually trying harder than any other time I’ve seen in him in recent comebacks. Shelton Benjamin hit Paydirt and this match was over.

Tyler Rex Paul defeated Burchill

This match was boring, and even though both competitors were trying really hard, it just wasn’t merging that well. Tyler Rex was the obvious faster man, and I noticed that Paul was gaining some weight, so maybe he’s on his way out. Tyler Rex’s springboard dropkick was impressive, he seemed to float in the air, a great display. Tyler Rex squeaks one out of this match as he surprised Burchill with a quick pin.

The Abraham Washington Show was next. It sucked. Christian and Tommy Dreamer were the guests, and they just listented as the dead audience passed out. This sucked, Washington still has no charisma, although it was new….even for the wwe, can Washington wrestle though? We’ll have to wait and see.

ECW 1/27/09 Results and Review Matt Hardy Released

Theodore Long came out to inform everyone on ECW that Matt Hardy is now officially off the ECW roster and is now on Smackdown permanently. That’s fine with me. Jack Swagger came out and wanted to celebrate his new reign, and announced that this night would feature the celebration for the new ECW champion, and you know what? It’s about time that we had an undefeated champion on WWE programming.

The Boogeyman came out from under the ring and scared Jack Swagger away!

The Boogeyman defeated Ricky Ortiz via countout

I’m not sure what happened here. Ricky Ortiz was thrown out of the ring by The Boogeyman just stayed in the ring and looked scary; what a sorry excuse for a match. This was the dumbest match or attempt at a match ever.

Finlay defeated Paul Burchill

This match was a hard hitting brawl style match up. It featured a lot of hard shots between Burchill and Finlay, but didn’t really prove to be all that great overall. Horswoggle distracted Katie Lea for a short break in the action, and after that it was all Finlay. Too bad they never went anywhere with that whole Pirate Paul gimmick. Finlay hit his finisher, and Paul lost yet another match up. Nothing too great here, just another match up for Paul to lose; How long before Paul gets fired? I think it’s going to be sooner than later.

Mark Henry defeated Tommy Dreamer

This was a hard hitting match in which Tommy Dreamer proved yet again that he needs to retire. I’ve been rooting for Tommy Dreamer to retire for a long time now, and for whatever reasons the WWE still finds it in their heart to keep him employed. However, they make him lose these hard fought battles with nothing more than whimper to end it all. This match was heavily one sided, Dreamer gave everything he had, but Mark Henry caught Tommy Dreamer in mid air and dropped him with the world’s strongest slam and pinned Tommy Dreamer yet again! That’s right, Mark Henry defeats a dead fish called Tommy Dreamer.

Ecw on sci-fi 1/27/09 Results and Review

The Boogeyman defeated Ricky Ortiz via countout
Finlay defeated Paul Burchill
Mark Henry defeated Tommy Dreamer

Jack Swagger losing his belt was boring to me. I like Swagger, but he needs to stop with the lisp. Someone get the kid a speech coach and get a professional linguist to help him out a little bit. Overall, not the worse night in wrestling, but also not the best night in wrestling; ECW on sci-fi still has a lot in an hour show, which is a good thing in a bloated wwe marketplace.

Ecw on Sci Fi 11/11/08 Review and Results

I woke up way too tired for this crap, but I managed to watch it anyway. Here is how the Veteran’s day episode of ECW went down:

John Morrison,The Miz & Jack Swagger defeated Cryme Tyme & Tommy Dreamer

Swagger avoided Dreamer early on, then asked for him to get tagged in, but it didn’t happen as Swagger wanted him in as he was losing to JTG’s offense. The crowd was into this one, and heavily favored the good guys. The arena was definitely into this match up and they were much louder than recent American crowds for Ecw. Morrison was on the receiving end of a lot of punishment, and I can’t believe that Tommy Dreamer was getting so much in, as he was looking like a champion rather than a jobber. Overall a good match up, featuring Dreamer nearly winning this match with his flurry of offense close to the end. Swagger seemed to have gotten the push and the crowd was firmly behind him! However, a Dreamer ddt looked to derail his push, but Morrison reversed the ddt into the Moonlight Drive and once again Dreamer jobs. Dreamer sucks

Mark Henry defeated some dude named Oliver

This was lame. Henry kills some local guy and there’s nothing more to it.

Matt Hardy defeated Finlay

This was a great back and forth match up and was given more than half of the show to play out. Finlay was the aggressor early on and was definitely poised to win this one, if only by the crowd’s reaction to his moves. Finlay, from Ireland, was definitely over with the UK crowd, and Hardy was having a hard time kicking out of a lot of Finlay’s latter offense. Finlay hit the Celtic Cross and I thought it was over, but Hardy kicked out at nearly 2 ½ and things were not looking good for Hardy at all. Finlay looked great out there and I liked this match it was definitely the best overall wrestling match up I’ve seen in a long time. These two put on a clinic of ECW wrestling, and while I don’t like these two on the mic, they can wrestle their butts off in the ring. Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate out of nowhere for the successful title defense! Great stuff. I liked this match a lot.

ECW Results 8/26/08 and Review The Clone

Teddy Long Segment:

Teddy Long said that the ECW championship will be on the line in a championship scramble match and tonight we will have matches to see who qualifies for the Unforgiven event.

Why is the ECW brand following the other two brands? It just doesn’t make sense to me to make a clone out of the brand, but whatever, Matt Hardy came out so I stopped thinking.

Matt Hardy defeated John Morrison

Hardy is way over, and it’s amazing. I can’t believe how many people are behind Matt Hardy. The crowd just goes nuts for him, even though he lacks in the mic skills department. That’s alright, his in ring work is tried and true and for whatever reasons he’s not killing himself out there, like his brother is. This match was a standard match up, John Morrison getting a lot of damage given to him by Hardy, only to bounce back and start working on Hardy. The crowd was red hot for Hardy, breaking out in Hardy chants throughout this match up. Great opening match up, Morrison and Hardy work really well together and the back and forth action was fast and furious at times. There wasn’t a lot of rest holding or random clotheslines, this match had a great amount of wrestling, both technical and high impact or high flying. I got distracted by the similar patterns on the wrestlers pants, then Hardy hit the Twist of Fate for the win. I did notice one thing though, the announcers gave Hardy the victory before the three count occurred ,which seemed a little odd, but oh well. Hardy goes on to the scramble by beating Morrison clean.

Mark Henry Backstage Segment:

Mark Henry tries to act, but it’s a train wreck. He says that it’s a personal thing between him and Teddy Long because the scramble doesn’t favor the champion at all. Teddy Long reassures him that it’s not personal, and it’s all over. Henry walks away sad, and I am saddened by this horrible performance.

The Miz defeated Evan Bourne

The Miz really grounded Evan Bourne in this match, even though Bourne did get in a few moves in the onset of this match up. It might have been lack of experience on The Miz’s part or it might have been done for time, but it seemed that Evan Bourne did not just roll through this match up like he has been in previous weeks. That being said, this match was actually not half bad, and for once, The Miz is showing some major in ring improvements and maybe he doesn’t suck as bad as I had previously noted. He’s actually doing quite well in there, and it showed during this match. This could also be in large part to Evan Bourne’s talent, but I’ll give credit where it’s due, this match was actually quite good, and even the rest hold in the middle of the match didn’t bug me. I can’t believe how it all turned out, The Miz hit the Reality Check and won this match clean over Evan Bourne. Evan’s winning streak comes to an end at the hands of The Miz. Yeah, I just said that, and you just read that…can you believe this? The Miz gets a title shot? This just doesn’t seem right somehow. Not half bad, the match was good, Evan Bourne made The Miz look really good, and The Miz put up a good match for a change as well. I liked this match a lot.

Chavo Guerrero defeated Tommy Dreamer

I ask this every time I see Tommy Dreamer in the ring; Tommy Dreamer is still employed? Apparently, Dreamer has managed to shake off that “ecw” thing? I’m not sure why Tommy Dreamer still has a job, but I’ll go with it, if I have to. I can’t believe this is going down, but Tommy Dreamer tried his best against Chavo Guerrero. The crowd was half asleep for the majority of this match, and I don’t believe that Tommy should still be wrestling. He gets in a good amount of offense, and Chavo really looked bad in this match up, getting pummeled through a lot of this match, and of course getting no help from Bam. Bam gets involved in the match, Chavo hits the frog splash and beats Tommy Dreamer. At least Tommy got a win over Colin Delaney before he got fired. Because he could at least say that he’s gotten a win this year, because it might be his last. Chavo joins the rest of the crew in the ECW main event.

Finlay defeated Mike Knox

Why the WWE would give this match up for free is beyond me. This match was building quite well, but it just didn’t come to a lot of fruition, unless the feud will continue after this match. Lots of power moves, lots of rest holds, and Finlay was getting beat up for most of this match. Knox is huge, and Finlay really had a hard time in the second part of this match. Initially, Finlay seemed to have this match in control, but with one power lariat, Knox had control. Knox is huge, and Finlay looked tired for a good part of this match up. Finlay cheats to win as is customary for him, and beats Mike Knox by knocking him out. Finlay defeats Mike Knox and goes on to the Unforgiven ECW title match.

ECW Results 8/26/08

They stuffed a lot of wrestling into this show, and it was interesting to see things go down. I liked this show, and it is most likely going to be the best show of the week.

ECW Review 8/19/2008 The Hardy Show Continues

I almost didn’t review ECW, I was so tired that I wanted to just sleep. However, I made a pot of coffee, burned the midnight oil and wrote this review for all 2 readers of you out there that actually read this blog, and sometimes comment. This one is for you!

John Morrison & The Miz and Chavo defeated Evan Bourne, Super Crazy and Tommy Dreamer

They fired Colin Delaney, but they kept the jobber Tommy Dreamer? I don’t understand this reasoning. Not only that, Super Crazy is still on the roster too? I don’t understand what the WWE is doing, but than again, I never know what is going on with the WWE. I just watch it, and I enjoy it. Maybe a little too much since I’m so tired, or maybe I’m just tired of wwe.

The match was quite good and the six men really put on a great opening bout. We saw the usual high flying spots, and it was a rather quick match up. It was really meant to put the faces over, and more importantly Evan Bourne. However, even with all the momentum going their way, the team of Dreamer, Crazy and Bourne lost thanks to the Miz. The Miz got the pin and the bad guys take one from the good guys. A good opener, and an interesting amount of action for an opening match up, it was nice to hear an E-C-W chant from the crowd.

Ricky Ortiz defeated Gavin Spears

Who in the blue hell is Gavin Spears? All I know is that Spears really put the boots to Ortiz, seriously. For a jobber, they really allowed Spears to work some great offense into this match up. We even saw a cobra clutch in the match up, which I haven’t seen in a long time. Ortiz takes a lot of punishment for what should be nothing more than a squash match. At one point in the match up, the fans were rallying behind Ortiz, but in low bursts. Spears eventually lost to what is just a big splash, seriously, nothing major, just a big splash. Ortiz reminds me of a guy from Final Fight….what says you?

Finlay in Ring Segment:

Finlay comes out and does a random promo. He calls out Mike Knox and calls him a coward. Knox comes out, and the two brawl it out and what appears to be security comes out to stop them. This is good work, maybe they could have more brawls to set up feuds instead of other angles. More fights! Remember when fights broke out all the time backstage and on the ramp, then the feuds really meant something? Those were the days.

Mark Henry defeated Matt Hardy (Ecw Championship Match)

We finally get Hardy vs. Henry and I wasn’t really looking forward to this. Summerslam was a waste of money if you were paying for this match, and I didn’t like how necessarily turned out, however tonight we get a full match up from these two. Hardy is incredibly over with the Ecw crowd. The crowd was way into this match and only for Hardy’s sake. No matter how much offense Hardy got in at the end, Atlas made sure that Henry walked out with the title belt, and he pulled it off.

Hats off to Hardy for putting on a great show. He really looked convincing, and he can be a major contender for a bigger push in the WWE if he continues on this path. He made Mark Henry have a great match, and I used to hate mizark henry, but not anymore, this Hardy program is great.

ECW Review 7/23/2008 The Hardy Show

In Ring Segment 1

There is a new Ecw Title shown.

The title is all silvered out, and is all new. Tony Atlas starts raving about it. Teddy Long just stands there like an idiot.

Collin Delaney comes out. He has turned heel, and talks about how he has turned on Tommy Dreamer.

**remember when Terry Funk turned on Tommy Dreamer? Or was it Dreamer turning on Funk? I just remember a trashcan shot to the head at a ppv back in the old ECW days.

Delaney says that he’s all for Mark Henry, instead of a washed up loser.

Teddy Long interrupts, and he says that there’s some business to take care of. He claims that Tommy Dreamer is going to wrestle Tommy Dreamer tonight, and when Atlas tries to save the night, Teddy Long jumps in and says that Philly is Extreme and the match is going to start right now!

Tommy Dreamer defeated Collin Delaney

Since when is a DDT that devastating? Not since Raven and Jake the Snake have I seen one so devastating. Not that it hurts, but man, Dreamer beat Delaney in a quick match. No surprise here.

Backstage Segment 1

Morrison and Miz talk about winning the four way tonight on ECW and trade puns and stupid ideologies.

Evan Bourne defeated James Curtis

This match was a squash. This new guy had no entrance, no music, no pyro, and this is just hilarious to me. Evan Bourne shows off some more of his in ring ability, besides his abilities in the air.

Backstage Segment 2

Finlay talks to Hornswoggle backstage, and says he doesn’t need luck.

Backstage Segment 3

Ricky Ortiz is backstage talking to some random chick. Ricky Ortiz says he can be the Latin Assassin, and Teddy stops him and says he’s only had 1 match in 3 weeks. Teddy states that next week he’s going to be in action next week.

Backstage Segment 4

Matt Hardy talks about losing his U.S title, and he says he’s going to kick the door open and is going to Summerslam.

Matt Hardy defeated Finlay, Miz, and Morrison in a 4 Way Match

Matt Hardy might have lost his U.S Title, but he’s bouncing back quite nicely. He’s going to face Mark Henry for the ECW Title at Summerslam!

But what about the match?

The match started off slow, and turned into a huge spot fest at the end. Lots of near falls, lots of excitement. I thought for sure Finlay had it with a TON of great opportunities to get the win, but he kept getting interrupted by others, and eventually Hardy made it with a twist of fate out of nowhere, and he gets the title shot.

ECW Quick Results 7/23/2008

Tommy Dreamer def. Colin Delaney
Evan Bourne def. James Curtis
Fatal Four Way: Matt Hardy def. Finlay, The Miz and John Morrison

The ECW show seemed a lot faster to me than usual. There was a lot of setting up for weeks to come, and only three matches. I'm glad to see that Matt hardy could be getting a main event spot on ECW, but is that really worth it? I'm not sure. Maybe Hardy can really move things on ECW and he can move towards a bigger main event spot on Smackdown or Raw. I doubt it though.

The new ECW belt is looking really lame. It's too Silver, and honestly, it looks like a B level title instead of what it should be. IF ECW is the minor leagues, then this title is a great thing.

Evan Bourne continued to use a lot of offense, and the no name guy was hilarious to see squashed. I wonder if ECW is going to continue to squash guys, or test them out constantly. Whatever the case is, Evan Bourne might be the highlight of the week so far.

Tommy Dreamer needs to get fired. I'm tired of seeing him on ECW. He is way better fit for a smaller promotion, like TNA.

ECW Review 7/15/2008 Hardy Boyz Win

In Ring Segment:

Tony Atlas and Mark Henry are in the ring talking about how great it is to be champion and associated with the world’s strongest man. They call a fan from the audience to try and bend a frying pan, and he couldn’t do it.

Mark Henry bends a frying pan with his bare hands. He then is praised for strength, and then calls out Tommy Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer couldn’t bend a frying pan so he hits Mark Henry in the head with it and runs off.

Tommy Dreamer yells, “ECW” and then goes backstage.

Backstage Segment:

Tommy Dreamer is yelled at by Teddy Long, and then kicked out of the building.

Mike Knox defeated Shannon Moore

I didn’t know that Shannon Moore was still employed by wwe! What a waste of time. What a waste of talent. Shannon Moore does get in some great offense, and it was nice to see that they trusted him to get off the ground, but in the end, Mike Knox knocked the kid out and won the match. Knox doesn’t look all that great to me, he’s big, but if he keeps squashing cruiserweights, there’s no point. Knox over with his finisher, and that’s that.

Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero

Chavo is on his way out. Evan Bourne, the new comer is allowed to do so much in these matches. I was amazed that the WWE allowed Evan to fly off the top ropes like he does. He reminds me a lot of AJ Styles, he just has so much height on his moves. This was a good match, just high spots, but worth my 5 AM viewing of ECW. Match of the night, in fact, match of the week so far.

Backstage Segment:

Mark Henry and Tony Atlas talks to Collin Delaney saying that he has nothing to worry about. Then Mark Henry puts him in a bear hug and throws him into a production cart. But he’s consoled by some hot chick, so it’s all good.

The Hardy Boys vs. Miz & Morrison

This match was the standard Hardy Boys vs. Miz & Morrison match up. We’ve already seen this match three or four times. They should just give the hardy boys the tag team titles and get this over with. The only thing worth mentioning about this match is that it went long, Sci-fi allowed it, and the guys put on a great entertaining match up. However, it is nothing new, and we’ve already seen this so many times on ECW and on Raw as well as Smackdown and even pay per view. The Hardy Boys are untouchable as a tag team, that’s for sure.

ECW Quick Results 7/15/2008:

Mike Knox def. Shannon Moore
Evan Bourne def. Chavo Guerrero
United States Champion Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy def. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz (non-title)

I gotta give it to WWE, they are trying to give you a lot of wrestling in one hour. There was more wrestling on this show than most other WWE programming. Adamle is still horrible, I can't stand how he's still making a trillion more dollars than me. I work 9 to 5 and barely crack 1/3 of what he makes. Plus no one that visits this site donates or anything...oh well. Ecw this week was ok, but it's getting old fast.

ECW Review 7/1/2008 The Mark Henry Show

Mark Henry on the mic? He was kind of ok, I guess. Tommy Dreamer came out and challenged Mark Henry.

Tommy Dreamer where’s spandex now?

Collin Delaney gets an ECW title shot!

Matt Hardy, Finlay & Hornswoggle defeated. Chavo Guerrero, The Miz, & Morrison

This was a standard six man tag. They isolated Matt Hardy early on, and worked him over until he got the hot tag and Finlay came in and cleaned house, then Hornswoggle came through with the tadpole splash and the win for the team. Chavo once again gets embarrassed.

Atlus Ortiz defeated Armando Estrada

This match kind of sucked. The crowd was dead for the most part, and eventually started to get into it towards the finale. The match was just full of Estrada doing rest holds and trying to build offense against this random new guy. The new guy pulled a back slide out of nowhere, and it was over.

Atlus looks goods, but reminds me too much of Final Fight for the SNES (Arcade) and doesn’t really have too many moves yet.

Marky Henry (Champion) vs. Collin Delaney
Non Title Match

Mark Henry basically beat the crap out of Collin Delaney. Delaney got in about 2 punches and then just got beat to oblivion. This is two steps below a jobber match, and only proved that Mark Henry can beat down smaller guys.

At the beginning of the show, they made it seem that this was a title match, but it wasn’t. It didn’t matter though. Delaney didn’t have a chance.

This whole show wasn’t all that great. It seemed a little short and boring to me. At least there is a new character and Teddy Long promised new superstars coming to ECW so maybe he’ll have some more people.

ECW Poop Results 5/27/2008

ECW came through with yet another show of stupidity and bad commentary, but it couldn’t help itself…it’s just how it is, right?

Tommy Dreamer lost to Big Show. A jobber is all the original ECW wrestler really is.

Mike Knox is still on ECW? Kofi Kingston bounces back from last weeks loss, and actually makes ECW kind of worth watching.

Chavo defeats C.M. Punk! What? Punk is definitely not doing so well lately, especially since losing the ECW championship, and I’m not sure how Chavo got the rub on this one, considering he also has done the jobber role this year, also since losing the ECW championship.

Why does the WWE continue to bury the tag champions? I’m not sure. Kane didn’t win this match, but come on, seriously, come on!

Mike Adamle’s commentary is almost bearable, but still is a line below horrible. I remember when Michael Cole started, I hated him too, but he was never as bade as Adamle.

Rumors are swirling that ECW may not exist in a few months, and in fact, with ratings so low, ECW might merge with Raw on Monday nights. We’ll see what happens.

We also saw a glimpse of what may be to come, Kane vs. Big Show? It could happen.

ECW May 27,2008 Quick Results
Big Show def. Tommy Dreamer
Kofi Kingston def. Mike Knox
Chavo Guerrero def. CM Punk
ECW Champion Kane vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison (No Contest)

Smackdown Review 5/23/2008

This week's smackdown almost put me to sleep..but here is my review of sorts...it's not picture heavy, as I'm not really feeling good, but maybe next time...eh?

Deuce, Domino & Maryse def. Jesse, Festus & Cherry

This match was awesome! Cherry took some big bumps, then took a kick to the face that she wasn't even ready for, and BOOOM! Knocked out! What a great ending.

Other than that, I didn't care for this match.

Finlay def. Chuck Palumbo

Finlay is really getting over, I guess he's turning face now. Palumbo is still Undertaker light, but what can I do?

Batista def. MVP

Batista and Mvp was set up thanks to the MVP show getting interrupted. My wife and I were laughing due to the fact that batista was making a joke out it. He was making Bruce Lee motions and everything, if you missed it, you really missed out.

The match was ok, but WWE is totally burying MVP now.

Vladimir Kozlov def. Nunzio

This was a throwaway match up. I don't care about the Russian guy, I don't care about the Italian guy...who cares.

United States Champion Matt Hardy & Kofi Kingston def. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke

This wasn't half bad, but I feel that the U.S Title needs a lot more emphasis and putting the champion in a tag team match doesn't help out the overall perception of the title. This match was good though, probably best in the night.

Undertaker def. Chavo Guerrero

There was no chance in Hell that Chavo was going to walk out the winner in this one. I also noticed that Chavo is looking a little light, maybe he's off the juice!

Remember him in WCW? He wasn't that jacked, and in fact was really small.

Here's a classic for you, part 2 of Chavo Guerrero vs. Ultimo Dragon at WCW's Spring Stampede.

Notice how small Chavo is...seriously, he's not that big...

Whatever the case is, Undertaker squashed Chavo. Chavo's clout has gone down a lot since losing the ECW title, and I'm not sure if he can ever recover.

ECW's 100th Episode Cashes In 5/6/2008

ECW steamed through their 100th episode and I was quite surprised at how much show was actually packed into a one hour episode. The show featured some good match ups, but ultimately let me down in the end.

Tommy Dreamer Trash Can Delivery

ECW actually had an extreme match for once! Tommy Dreamer was in his own element last night wrestling Mike Knox and I was really rooting for him, but it was to no avail, he lost miserably.

Tommy Dream is a jobber

Tommy Dreamer is nothing more than a jobber at this point. He’s the new school Barry Horowitz.

Matt Striker wrestles? Apparently so, and to build up Kofi Kingston a bit more, they are pushing him through the ECW roster in order to get to the title, or jump ship to another show. Kingston has got some movies, but overall…he’s no Shelton Benjamin!

Kofi Kingston beatdown

Benjamin and Kingston will most likely continue to feud as Benjamin’s beat down on Kingston last night had shades of old school professional wrestling; which makes me happy for a change.

Who knew Armando Estrada could wrestle? Who knew that WWE would actually sign an independent talent? Who knew they would allow him to win over the general manager of Ecw?

Not I, that’s for sure.

Delaney somehow managed to mop up Estrada, pick up the contract and join the superstars of wrestling; and the countdown begins to when they will bury Delaney and his hopes of joining the elite crew in the main event scene.

One thing’s for sure, the kid can bump like Foley.

Delaney Bump

The main event wasn’t all that great, but it was enough to keep me interested. The thing that disturbed me most, was not that the match was just a beatdown on Chavo, or that the new guy is getting pushed into the ECW main event scene; it was the parting shots of ECW as it went off the air.

The WWE is foreshadowing a match between Kane & Punk vs. The Tag Team Champions The Miz and Morrison. This of course is going to mean that the titles will once again get hot shotted to a temporary, non “tag team” partnership.

Morrison and Miz vs Cm Punk and Kane

I’m already hating ECW…although they managed to not screw up their much anticipated and publicized 100th episode.

Quick Results for ECW 5/6/2008

Mike Knox def. Tommy Dreamer
Kofi Kingston def. Matt Striker
Colin Delaney def. Armando Estrada
ECW Champion Kane & CM Punk def. Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely

ECW Lacks Extreme Factors

Even without Joey Styles, ECW could've moved forward with a taste of the extreme, but instead it just proves to be more of the WWE's C show rather than providing an alternative to jaded wrestling fans.

The name ECW shouldn't even be used in conjunction with the show that the WWE is producing for SCI-FI channel's late night slot.

Seriously, there is nothing extreme about ECW and there was nothing extreme that happened on last nights horrible show...with the exception of the moment of EXTREME featuring two divas...

WWE Divas Dropkick ECW

If that is the most extreme thing that happened on ECW, you can rest assured that it's no longer worthwhile to stay up late to see ECW. You can view the whole show on WWE.COM where at least one guy is extreme: JOEY STYLES!

The new announcer sucks too, Tazz has no help in the booth, and the WWE is promptly going to pull the rug under the show, sooner than later.

What we were treated to over on ECW's show was the continuation of the ECW feud with Chavo Guerrero, featuring Edge. Not exactly the brightest moment for either superstar, and completely boring if you ask me.

Maybe there is hope down the road...it is not found with the stale ECW product, that's for sure.

Mark Henry's Massive Push

Am I the only one worried about Mark Henry? Seriously, Mark Henry is getting a serious push heading into WWE's Wrestlemania this weekend, and I'm starting to get worried. Recently on Smackdown, Mark Henry beat down Kane & Great Khali on the road to winning a special over the top rope battle royal preview match.

This is horrible!

After the major beatdown, Mizark Henry followed up by beating down Chavo Guerrero.

I'm not sure if this is the WWE's way of setting up Mark Henry for the fall, but I for one do NOT under any circumstances want to see Mark Henry get any kind of push.

Don't you remember just a few weeks ago, he was jobbing to every major wrestler? He was losing in under five minutes!

Now he's the dominate force on Smackdown, and is headed for an ECW championship reign?

I sure hope not.

Watch out for Mark Henry, he looks like the next ECW champion...hopefully something gets in his way.

Wrestlemania is this weekend, get it, or be left out. I'm ordering it, that's for sure.

Chavo Is A Dead Man

The WWE announced today that Chavo Guerrero will square off against the Dead Man, The Undertaker, this Friday night on Smackdown. I for one am fearing for Chavo's life (figuratively). There is no way out for Chavo.

Or is there?

Chavo Guerrero is aligned with Edge and Vickie, so will the match turn into a handicap match with Edge getting involved? Or will Chavo pick up a win thanks to interference?

I'm not sure, but I do know one thing: Chavo Guerrero is going to have his hands full this friday night on Smackdown!
