Here we go, I didn’t think I would make it, but here we go. The big event tonight is live from a near sold out Texas stadium. I heard on a podcast that this show is not sold out and that there are 25,000 tickets unsold as of Thursday. However, last minute ticket discounts, giveaways and more probably filled the stadium. I’m sure live notes will change things up a little. We’ll have to see what happens, with that. I’m glad I made it back in time to check this mess out, so that I can review it for you. If you’re out there and reading this, please buy something via amazon.com so that I can pay for this ppv, it was 20 dollars more than the average ppv, and really is breaking my bank. So yeah…chip in for your old pay sirjorge via the amazon links on the site, I get like 4% of what you buy, which isn’t much, but man, this isn’t cheap for me.

It has a good opening segment, asking what the best wrestlemania moment ever was…but who cares? I liked it wrestlemania 6 Hogan vs Warrior, I nearly cried when Hogan lost that match. Seriously, that was a tough one. Some random chick from the Pussycat Dollas was doing “American the Beautiful” lame. The best opening I’ve ever seen was Willie Nelson at Wrestlemania 7 in Los Angeles, when my dad took me. It was the L.A Sports Arena and Willie Nelson had a Wwe Heavyweight title around his waste, which was awesome. I marked out huge for Willie, even though I don’t own any of his albums. Wrestlemania 7 was awesome.

And away we go…Wrestlemania 25

**NOTE**

Apparently I didn’t get the Colon’s Tag Team title match, but they won the match up and are the Unified Tag Team Champions. Just so you know.

First match was Money in the Bank

The Participants:

C.M Punk
Finlay
MVP
Kane
Mark henry
Christian
Shelton Benjamin
Kofi Kingston

C.M. Punk won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match

First for the highlight reel was Kofi Kingston jumping over a mid waist high ladder and delivering a dropkick immediately afterwards! He may have hurt his knee though. Jim Ross claims that Reliant Stadium is sold out! Kane and Henry were first to go after the case but were melee’d by the rest of the guys out there. Kane was afraid to bump, that was apparent. Shelton Benjamin took a huge dive into all other competitors off a 25 ladder! Afterwards, Mark Henry was at the top rope ready to launch, but he didn’t make it. Hornswoggle brought in a baby ladder and was climbing to the top trying to reach the belts! Hornswoggle took a major dive off the top rope onto all the competitors. Kofi Jumped through a ladder ala Jackie Chan! That was insane, if you missed it man….wow…Kofi also caught a nut shot via Finlay’s baby ladder. I thought for sure Christian had this thing with a clever way to save himself from falling, but C.M Punk was there to stop him, then Kane was there to win it, but Punk once again clutched a hold of the briefcase and wins! C.M Punk gets it! CM PUNK WINS!

Kid Rock did a performance at this point. Not really my thing, but whatever.

The Divas started to march out at this point, for their match up, I lost track of who was out there cause I got distracted.

My ppv channel froze on me at this point. Seriously, this sucked, but while trying to call Comcast, the video came back on and I stopped calling them.

I’m not sure how many people from the past were in here.

Santino (a) won a divas 25 women battle royal

Victoria, Mickey James, Gail Kim, Jillian, Sunny, Maryse, Katie Lea, Beth Phoenix, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Santino (dressed as a girl) , Michelle McCool, Melina

There might have been others though, I couldn’t really see because Comcast trashed my feed halfway through the match up. This match was standard women’s battle royal and it ended up with Santino, dressed up as a girl winning the match up! SANTINO! That’s right, Santino dressed as a woman eliminated everyone!

Chris Jericho defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Rowdy Roddy Piper

Another hiccup had me missing the first part of this match up. I can’t believe this crap from Comcast…this thing is costing me a fortune and they keep messing it up! I join the match midway through and Jericho is getting worked. Piper got hit with elimination first or second, I don’t know, Snuka was out by the time I realized what was going on. Jericho was doing well, and Ricky Steamboat came back in with a house of fire worth of chops to Jericho. There was a lot of near falls with this match up and I thought Steamboat would get the victory but Jericho hit the Codebreaker and won the match up! That’s right, Jericho hit the Codebreaker on Steamboat for the win! Ric Flair got into the ring and the two exchanged blows like crazy, but it was too little too late.

Post match, Jericho called out Mickey Rourke, and he obliged by coming out into the ring! That’s right, he came out and entered the middle of the ring! Mickey Rourke knocked out Jericho with one punch and it was over.

Matt hardy defeated Jeff Hardy

Here we go, the war of the brothers. These guys took this match to extremes, but it wasn’t crazy. It wasn’t too much, it was just right for these two. The highlight for me was when Jeff Set up a table then put Matt on it, then put another table on top of him! I haven’t seen this since Bash at the Beach 1998 when Saturn set this up against Raven! Jeff Dove superman style through the top layer, to Matt and broke the bottom layer right in half! Jeff tried to jump a 20 foot ladder onto Matt, but that was a no go, Jeff might of knocked himself out after this one. He jumped like 20 feet, no joke, he was moving, but slowly, he is going to feel that later. Matt Hardy put this one to rest with a chair shot, and it was all over.

Rey Mysterio defeated JBL for the Intercontinental Championship

Rey Mysterio came out dressed as The Joker, with his mask completely covered, which was awesome. Rey Mysterio won this match up fast and easy, hit the 619 and it was all over. JBL got squashed.

Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels

Alright, this has to be match of the night! Yeah, this match was insane right here, it started off average and it had a few moments of boredom, but then things started to pick up and then we started to see some great stuff. Michaels missing the Moonsault was great, then if that wasn’t enough, Undertaker jumped over the top rope, Michaels pushed a camera guy in the way, and Taker landed on his head! This wasn’t a botch, but man did it look scary! Seriously, Undertaker may have knocked himself out completely with this one, and the Camera guy was dead, it was harsh. You heard a huge crack, which was insane too. Undertaker nearly got counted out because of this huge fall, but it was bad. HBK jumped back in and then hit one of the hardest Chokeslam’s I’ve ever seen in wrestling. He got a HUGE one, and it nearly killed HBK, at least it looked that way. Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music and the streak was definitely going and gone in this one, I thought it was going to be over, and Undertaker barely kicked out. The Last Ride was hit, but HBK kicked out of that too! THE LAST RIDE was hit and it sounded huge! HBK managed to kick out, and one must have really considered that HBK might in fact have ETERNAL LIFE! So the dead man might be outwitted by HBK, I know I was a believer at this point. Michaels got caught up in the ropes trying to get back into the ring like he did at the Royal Rumble, and Undertaker hit the biggest Tombstone piledriver I’ve ever seen in my life, seriously, the biggest one ever hit. This thing was so huge, and it wasn’t enough. Comcast shut me down again, but only for a moment, but the time it came back HBK hit Sweet Chin Music again! He hit it again, and it wasn’t enough to put away The Undertaker! It wasn’t enough and both guys were just completely stuck at this point. Michaels tried for one more moonsault but was caught by The Undertaker and dropped HBK on his head. One more Tombstone and it was all over. It was all over.

John Cena defeated The Big Show and Edge for the WWE Championship

John Cena had a TON of John Cena clones come down the ramp for him, and it was a cool site to see, this was a really cool intro. I don’t like John Cena but the million Cena clones was a sight to see in this match up, which is incredible. You gotta admit that was kind of cool, there were so many Cena clones, it was cool.
This match was ok at best. It had a lot of different outcomes were teased during this match up and it had edge looking the strongest. However, Chavo Guerrero got involved, and then it was mopped up. Big Show got caught up in the ropes a lot of times in this match up, as a way to isolate him, which was smart. Vickie got speared at one point too. In much predictable fashion, John Cena defeated Edge and the Big show to win this one.

Wrestlemania is announced to being in Arizona March 28th 2010.

Austin ran down and drank beer with Jim Ross and just had fun. The crowd went nuts.

Triple H defeated Randy Orton.

So now, we finish this thing, we finally get the big rematch. The last time I remember reviewing these two, Triple H broke Randy Orton’s collar bone and won the match up. This time it’s supposed to be personal, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one turns out…so I thought. Triple H hit the Pedigree early in the match up, but couldn’t pin Orton, and this match took another slow turn, as these two work slowly. The match took your standard moments with Triple H getting thrown over the side of the stage into the audience, but he made it back before the ten count. The match took a turn for the macabre when Triple H started to try and dismantle Orton outside, but was thwarted by the Ref’s warning that he would be disqualified if he were to continue. This was ludicrous, because he then got on top of a table with Orton! This led into the backdrop onto a table. The Ref took a bump, and boy did he sell it, like it was the worst thing that ever happened to him. Orton brought out the sledgehammer, and this thing was looking to end here. Triple H punted the crap out of Orton! Triple H ran and hit Orton with his own punt as Orton was trying to get back in the ring! Triple H then hit Orton, while he was down with right hands to an obscene point and nearly got himself disqualified. Triple H then hit the Pedigree for the win. Triple H defeated Randy Orton!

This was probably one of the worst Wrestlemania's I've ever seen. I didn't really like it, except for the HBK Taker match. This was lame.
