Tna Impact 3/10/09 Review

I’m back, all the family has gone home and I’m back in action, writing crap.

The opening had the main event mafia out and they get Jeff Jarrett out there. For a guy that didn’t want to get into the fray, he sure is in the middle of all these storylines. The Motor City Machine guns came out and said they are for hire and have a vendetta against Foley. They get a match against Foley. It’s going to be lame. I can feel it.

Suicide defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

Suicide did his thing here. I’m still not impressed by this random wrestling character. He has a few good moves, but overall, I don’t really think he’s worth the TNA’s time. No Limit was at ringside, fighting off Suicide whenever he was outside of the ring. Bashir was definitely a bit more proactive in this match as an x-division member, and really had some good fast paced moves, but Suicide seemed to not compliment the style very well. Kiyoshi hit Suicide with a huge kick, and Bashir hit a ddt on Suicide with the Belt underneath him! Suicide wins against Suicide.

We’re nearly over an hour into this program and barely have any wrestling. A lot of backstage stuff, Foley in ring rambling, stupid crap, no one likes this, I’m sure.

Samoa Joe defeated Booker T

What a terrible match. This was such a convoluted match, with little to no charisma between the two wrestlers involved. The highlight of this match was when Kurt Angle tried to interfere in the match and had AJ Styles come down and beat him up, allowing Samoa Joe to hit a powerslam and win! Yeah, that’s right, Booker T, loses to a simple Power Slam! This had to be the biggest powerslam in history, huh? It was lame.

James Storm defeated Scott Steiner via Disqualification

Scott Steiner fought James Storm in this match up. Usually confined to Beer Money as a member, Storm had his hands full with Scott Steiner in this match up. Steiner was in full control of this match up and it was apparent that Storm wasn’t meant to win this one, at least that’s how the match was going. Storm did mount a comeback, but it didn’t seem to rock the big man, the way he wanted to. Kevin Nash threw in a lead pipe and this match was thrown out.

Awesome Kong defeated Angelina Love

I usually rave about these matches but this Knockouts match wasn’t very good at all. This match was really short and Awesome Kong won with a reversal pin! This was a dumb match and afterwards, the Beautiful People tried to cut Awesome Kong’s hair.

The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Mick Foley in a First Blood Match

This was a dismantling of the young tag team. This was supposed to be an easy win for the Motor City Machine guns, and Foley made it a first blood match, creating an interesting little match up, but overall it wasn’t that good at all. Foley gave the Mandible Claw and afterwards his sock had a little blood on it, so the Ref was going to call the match up, but Foley intimidated him and continued to wrestle. Foley brought in a barbed wire bat into this match up, and was ready to strike but Foley was hit in the head with a Chair by Sting and was busted wide open, losing the match.

This TNA was terrible, and almost made me not want to watch TNA any more.
