TNA Impact 3/29/10 Review
I’m dreading reviewing this night of wrestling, how can they top WWE, HBK’s Farewell Speech and Wrestlemania? Simply put, they couldn’t do it.
Hogan talks to Jarrett and gives him a chance at Aj to get to the #1 contender spot.
Black Machismo showed up and he was talking like Macho and doing his thing, apparently he’s still in TNA.
Bubba The Love Sponge came out with The Band or whatever, and he is now the official interviewer? It’s funny, it sucks, I hate it. They called out Erik Young and offered him a spot in the Band, and didn’t go for it. Erik fought but got out numbered fast, before being saved by RVD and Jeff Hardy. Either way, this sucked…I’m alreadyhating on TNA, it’s only been a few minutes. This start smells like WCW.
Shannon Moore & Kaz defeated Doug Williams & Brian Kendrick
This match was ok at best, it was fast paced and didn’t offer a whole lot. Kendrick got beat up then post match was painted with lipstick by Shannon Moore. This match was lame…sorry.
The Pope cuts a great promo, and it wasn’t half bad. Chelsea came down and distracted him for a while, but before Desmond Wolfe could attack, Pope fought him off. The Pope is solid, a shining light in TNA. Too bad he won’t get the title any time soon.
Orlando Jordan came down from the rafters wrapped in Cross the Line tape, and was just…well….gay.
Tara defeated Daffney
These two women fought in a first Blood Match, and it was interesting to me. Daffney’s hot, I like her. Tara, well…she’s had better matches.
Aj Styles defeated Jeff Jarrett
This match was ok, it lasted a lot longer than I thought, but it wasn’t necessarily that great. Aj cut his hand open, oddly enough, delivering a low blow against Jarrett, who had a guitar in his arms. Bischoff interrupted the match and brought in a guitar. Aj Styles got beat, but the ref was out and out came the interference. I didn’t like it. It was kind of boring, and Jarrett is back down.
Black Machismo defeated Beer Money
Somehow someway Jay Lethal won this match up. It was a terrible match, but I guess Lethal getting a win is not half bad.
Desmond Wolfe defeated The Pope
This match was actually going quite good, and while it did have a few moments it ended up turning into another match ending with a foreign object. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t the most thrilling of matches.
Kurt Angle cut a promo on Anderson.
Erik Young, Jeff Hardy, and Rob Van Dam defeated The Band in a Steel Cage Match
This was a very crowded steel cage match up, and it was interesting at times, but not really. Erik Young was targeted early on and was outside of the match for a good portion of the match up. However, Erik Young climbed to the cage and dropped a huge elbow, which wasn’t half bad. He basically killed Pac, I liked it overall!
Abyss announced that his first tag team partner for Lockdown will be,
Anderson and Angle will wrestle in a ladder match next week.
This night’s impact was ok at best.

Tna Impact 11/12/09 Review
The show immediately opens with Hulk Hogan’s signing to TNA wrestling. Then we get a recap of the meeting that was shown last week. I’m already bored with the storyline. However, I did mark out for Super Dave! As the show goes right back into Mick Foley’s office.
Abyss defeated Dr. Stevie
I feel like we’ve had this match occur before, so I wasn’t exactly too thrilled to see it. Abyss started this match hard and fast. Stevie Reichards looked great in ring, a far cry from his BWO days. So this match was all Abyss until the lights went out. Yes, the lights went out. Both men were out cold, and Stevie managed to roll an arm over Abyss and wins the match. Daffney’s hot…fyi. A chair was thrown into the ring but Foley ran in to save the day.
The Lights went out yet again, and this time we see Raven! Raven throws a fireball into Foley’s face and then hits the Evenflow DDT! Raven is back! My favorite wrestlers from yesteryear!
Alissa Flash defeated Traci Brooks
Alissa Flash took it to Traci Brooks and really did a good job. I thought it was interesting to see how intense she was, as she was really going after Brooks. Mike Tenay, mid match announced that Traci Brooks’ arm was crippled since birth and Flash just kept attacking it. Alissa Flash one via submission, and to cement the storyline, Brooks attacked her after the match.
Flash is good in my view, but she needs better competition. Traci Brooks sucks. A bad arm? That’s the excuse for her lackluster in ring work? She’s not Paul Orndorf, so I’m not buying the excuse. But then again, what do I know?
Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart defeated Black Machismo
This is a bad idea. Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart looks out of shape, really out of shape. This match was back and forth, albeit, short. The match went forward and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart hit a huge powerslam to pin, and won. Yes, he defeated Black Machismo! So much for that story line huh? What a joke.
The Beautiful People and Awesome Kong defeated ODB, Sarita, Taylor Wilde and Tara
These ladies really put ona good show. They didn’t do anything super crazy, but they had enough moments to make it interesting. While it was just a spot fest when you boil things down, it still had a bunch of good shots. Of course, Awesome Kong won with her implant buster, and it’s picture perfect.
There was a hotel room beatdown with Lashley beating up a rapist-like Scott Steiner. Sadly, this was insane.
Kurt Angle was in ring in a suit, talking about Desmond Wolfe. A video showed Desmond at a different location and he showed up and attacked Angle, however, Angle fought back and started to make good on his promise to fight back. However, Desmond got the better of him and hit a nice DDT and then hit a chair shot. Meanwhile the video kept looping, which made for a terrible promo.
Amazing Red & The Motor City Machine Guns defeated The World Elite
This match was suppose to be high risk and great overall. Instead it was half speed and featured some botch’s that no one really commented on. The Machine Guns and Red were pushing a great amount of offense and if there is a great part of this match up it was the spots done by Amazing Red. The World Elite just didn’t seem to have it and really lost it. Oh and Homicide got ransacked by security for trying to introduce a barbed wire bat to the match.
Beer Money Inc. defeated The British Invasion
This match is a good example of what WWE is missing. They are missing real tag teams. Not just hot spotted tag teams thrown together at the last minute, but legit tag teams that don’t necessarily wrestle singles matches often. That being said, this match was great in terms of tag team action. It’s not the most amazing, technical match, but it had double teams, hot tags, high spots and good overall rhythm. That’s what the tag team division should aspire to in wwe, but doesn’t. Beer Money had this match swinging their way but it seemed that the British Invasion had one step ahead each time this thing looked over. But the british invasion couldn’t get the final pinfall and lost to Beer Money.
Samoa Joe defeated Aj Styles
This was a fast match, and really wasn’t all that great. Towards the middle of the match, Christopher Daniels came down to ringside to interfere, and that cost Aj Styles the match. Samoa Joe choked out Aj Styles, in a somewhat lackluster match.

TNA Impact 6/11/09 Results
Alex Shelley and Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal defeated Team 3-D
Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner in a first blood match
Samoa Joe defeated Booker T in a first blood match
Shane Douglas defeated Aj Styles
Tara defeated Madison Rayne
Kurt Angle defeated Sting in a King of the Mountain Qualifier
TNA Impact 6/11/09 Review
The show opens up with Foley, talking on the mic, boring me and the rest of the bloggers that review wrestling to death. Foley is good on the mic, but he doesn’t need to be champ and he doesn’t need to be on the mic so much when there’s so many opportunities that can be created. Double J came out to the ring, and then after some words were exchanged got beat up by Foley’s security guards.
Alex Shelley Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal defeated Team 3-D
Team 3-D has lost more than a step as they have aged here. They seem to be getting too old to fight off the average onslaught of guys that they are in the ring with. Lethal used to mimic Macho Man’s style way more, now he’s just slow, and really not as good. Shelley and Lethal worked together for a good amount of time, but this match just seemed very forced from Team 3-D almost as if they were just going through slow motions to get through this match up. Giving it all they had wasn’t enough as Team 3-D still managed to fight off all 4 people in the various teams, and they even knocked off the British Invasion for a few moments. Doug Williams hit Bubba Ray Dudley with a steel case and made Team 3-D lose the match. Lame match, slow and just forced.
It was around 9:44 and this match started….there’s not much wrestling on TNA these days in the first hour.
Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner in a first blood match
This match was supposed to be a first blood match, and it started with simply Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner. There were a lot of head shots in this match as this was in fact a First Blood Match. Word on the street said that Samoa Joe is injured too. Steiner was busted wide open after Samoa Joe put a trash can on top of him then went to town with a lead pipe! That was kind of cool…a little extreme.
Samoa Joe defeated Booker T in a first blood match
This match was a complete piece of junk. Seriously, who writes these things? This match was terrible. First off Joe was way tired and second Booker T didn’t get busted open significantly. It so happened that a lead pipe to the stomach caused Booker T to start bleeding and therefore he lost the match. He was “coughing” up blood! What the heck? This was one of the worst insults to my intelligence as a wrestling fan in a long time, this is a travesty; and I guess Samoa Joe continues his victories, although I still hear he’s injured.
Shane Douglas defeated Aj Styles
Shane Douglas hasn’t been in the sun in a long time and it showed. He also was fatter than usual. Douglas looked like someone’s fat, out of shape stepfather. However, he hit really hard against Styles, and although Styles was carrying he momentum in the match, Shane Douglas managed to fight his way through a bunch of different pieces to make a better match than all of his xpw exploits. Out of the blue Aj Styles hit an arm bar and submitted Shane Douglas. This match sucked, Douglas is cool when he’s not fat.
Post match Christopher Daniels ran down to help Aj Styles, only to get beat down by Shane Douglas. This prompted Samoa Joe down to the ring for the save…and Shane Douglas runs away. This segment sucked…just so you know.
Tara defeated Madison Rayne
Tara is just Victoria, and she is already sporting knee brace…awesome. Seeing Tara in TNA is really impressive, she works really well in ring and proves yet again that she wasn’t really a diva, she was a wrestler trapped in Vince McMahon’s pony show. Speaking of wrestling, Madison Rayne can also wrestle. The two of these women put on a show that didn’t get me aroused, it got me interested in women’s wrestling yet again! Tara won this match after a sweet standing moonsault and the Widow’s Peak! Great match, best thing on TNA this week, hands down.
Kurt Angle defeated Sting in a King of the Mountain Qualifier
I give it to TNA they did put on a main event caliber main event. The two icons in TNA right now put on a decent match up considering that they’ve already given this match on ppv many times over. The two kept going at it in a lot of rest holds and random classic wrestling reversals, but still managed to get in a few great power moves. The ending was great, with some sweet reversals, and some great technical know how, these two put on quite the psychologically driven twist at the end. However, it looked like it Sting who got the best of Angle, after a nice powerbomb. Matt Morgan came down to ringside to distract Sting for a moment and allow Kurt Angle to get the upper hand, and boom..the Angle Slam and it was all over.

Tna Lockdown 2009 Review
That’s right folks, we get another TNA ppv, and I don’t know how I do it, but I get to review it because Comcast lets me every now and again. So here we go, the tna review, or however it is you want me to call this thing.
Eric Young defeated Danny Bonaduce
Eric Young is so much bigger than Danny. That’s the first thing that I saw in this match up. Eric Young was laying into Danny and it looked great, but Danny got a few shots in, nothing too insane, but he was trying more than the average jobber. Eric Young defeated Danny after a few minutes, and this was a throwaway match up.
Post match Danny attacked young from behind, but Rhino ran down to ringside and speared the crap out of Danny, and this segment finally ended.
What a terrible thing to give away in the pre-show, but it was free…well…free for those that ordered it.
Suicide defeated Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal, Kiyoshi, Consequences Creed, and Sheik Abdul Bashir
I was under the assumption that there were teams in this match up, it all confused me; Specifically because this match up was just left and right action. Everyone was just free for all, with the exception of Lethal and Creed, who were teaming together to make things a little different.
Kiyoshi was eliminated first.
Creed and Machismo together were doing good as a team. I liked how they were cleaning house and trying to make this match more than just high spots. It wasn’t meant to be though, Sheik hit the DDT of Mass Destruction and eliminates Creed.
Consequences Creed was eliminated next.
Suicide’s running lariat eighteen minutes into the match up was nice. He turned Lethal inside out!
Black Machismo got eliminated somewhere, when I went to a bathroom break and my wife was reading her twitter instead of watching the wrestling. Lame.
I came back to see Suicide and Bashir getting into the match up hook line and sinker. At this point I wanted Suicide to lose cause he’s lame. I don’t really like Bashir, but at this point, he’s better than Suicide. Kiyoshi ran down to ringside and tried to stop Suicide from getting out of the cage. He jumped off of the top onto a pile of people to win this match up. This was a terrible match, in 23 minutes, the x-division was suppose to be good.
ODB defeated Madison Rayne, Sojourner Bolt, and Daffney
I’m assuming this too was an elimination match. These things confuse me, I want to say that TNA is NOT all gimmicky crap, but this is just another nail in their coffin. I hate this crap.
ODB won this match. I guess it wasn’t an elimination match up. It was a queen of the cage! This was an ok match, but it was just boring to me. There were a few high spots, but not really something that was going to gain more fans. They really wasted their time with this match up.
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated LAX, and No Limit in a WGP Jr. Tag Championship match up
When WCW had those great N64 games I would make matches like this. Seriously, I made these types of matches. That’s also how slow this match was. The middle of the ring was opened up for the most part. The edges were filled with people hitting right hands, elbows, and the middle had Hernandez hitting power moves. Seriously, I hate this crappy wrestling. TNA STOP MAKING Six Sided Cage matches with 20 people inside! Ok, not 20, but if you saw this match, you know what I’m talking about. There just wasn’t enough room in this match to make something good. There were too much competitors in a small ring, and it just came across as stupid to me. Maybe the Chocolate Stout was talking at this point, but I really didn’t think this match was all that good at all. This match was one fall and The Motor City Machine Guns won. I didn’t like it.
Matt “The Blueprint” Morgan defeated Abyss
This match stared with Abyss driving himself into Matt Morgan, shoving his weight around, trying to throw Morgan through the cage as he was just opening up like a house on fire against Matt Morgan. Matt Morgan knocked out Abyss with a kick to the face with a chair, and busted him wide open, creating the first major casualty on the ppv as far as blood is concerned. Morgan then started to lay into the forehead of Abyss. Matt Morgan introduced something I haven’t seen in a very long time. He brought out a bag full of shards of glass! Yea, that was a little weird, and I guess it was part of the match. It couldn’t have been real glass because Morgan was grasping the pieces with his bare hands, and you know that’s not possible without cutting your hand. The Ref got taken out with a Matt Morgan cross body block and business really started to pick up here. Stevie Richards came down to ringside to stop Abyss from using a chair on Matt Morgan! That’s right, Stevie Richards ran down to ringside to stop Abyss! I guess the big revelation was that Doctor Stevie is none other than Stevie Richards. Richards got into the ring to stop Abyss, verbally assaulting him, then slapping him, trying to stop him from using tacks. Morgan than hit a huge slam on Abyss onto thumbtacks and glass; he won after pinning Abyss.
I admit, the match started of great, but it really slowed down to nothing more than a parody of a Mick Foley, mid 90’s match. Abyss has a lot of talent, and he’s just taking pointless risks at this point. Matt Morgan shouldn’t be involved in this feud, but oh well. Stevie Richards return? That was kind of cool, I have to admit that.
Angelina Love defeated Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde in a triple threat Knockout championship match
A triple threat match isn’t exactly what I wanted at this point. Honestly, an hour into this thing and I personally no longer cared about this ppv, it just seemed overkill as it always does to have every match in a steel cage. It never worked for WWE and it doesn’t work for TNA right now. At least not for me, I didn’t really like it. This match had some great spots from Awesome Kong. Kong missed a top rope dive, she also had to fight of Taylr Wilde. The ending of this match up came with Angelina Love playing possum. She had her tag team partner outside tie up Kong’s hair to the cage and so she was stuck. Taylor Wilde then was surprised by Love playing possum, a roll up happened and we got the pinfall win and NEW Knockout champion Angelina Love! Not a great match, not a memorable title change, but it happens.
Team 3-D defeated Beer Money in a IWGP Tag Team Titles & TNA Tag Team Titles Match
With so much hype over those New Japan belts in this match, I had it in mind to root for Team 3-D because they are in need of another championship. This match started with Team 3-D cleaning house, literary, throwing Beer Money out of the ring, then following them out to trash them. The fight went into the audience, then we got the good ol’ fashioned split screen. Things came towards the ring, and a table was set up! Beer Money double suplexed Devon through a table at ringside, then threw Bubba Ray Dudley into the cage, his face completely busted open. The third rope Bubba Bomb onto Robert Roode was definitely a highlight for me that was incredible. Towards the end of this match up, Team 3-D really got into a groove and looked great. They seemed to be having fun for a change, and things were going quite well for them. Devon was getting a table, Bubba was setting up, Beer Money was down and reeling from the onslaught of offense. But then Beer Money got a leg up, and started to use their skills to strike like the champs that they are. Throwing Team 3-D into the cage, setting up the Last Call, and just trying everything they could to win this match up. Beer Money miscalculated the cage door bump to the head, and Team 3-D hit 3D to win this match up! They are the new TNA Champions!
Chris Daniels, Aj Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett defeated Kurt Angle, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash
Kurt Angle and Chris Daniels started this first period, and they were just mat wrestling. Nothing too crazy was happening in this match up, then Booker T came down and him and Kurt Angle were having their way with Daniels. (I know that sounds gross, but it was true man, what can I say). Scott Steiner jumped into the match and it had some nice belly to belly suplexes off the top rope on Styles and Daniels! Samoa Joe was scheduled to come out but for some reason he wasn’t coming out. He just stayed behind, and then came out with a few seconds later. He immediately hit Steiner, then went back and forth with the Main Event Mafia, hitting every suplex in the book, reminding me of Tazz’s old wrestling style. Kevin Nash came out, but was immediately kicked in the face by Joe, hitting the fence immediately. Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe exchanged blows outside, but then he forced himself into the ring and was just dominating early on. With so many bodies in the ring, this thing started to really slow down. Then came down Jeff Jarrett and things were starting to pick up in an all new way. This match was fairly gimmick free, until the roof of the cage lowered down with all sorts of weapons hanging from the top of it! Oh man, this is the biggest gimmick match of all, and what a load of crap. This was worse than the old Raven’s funhouse matches. They switched to a six way camera view of the action and I had no idea what to watch, this was like a weird video game of some kind. Aj Styles and Kurt Angle were fighting on top of the cage. This looked very dangerous, a lot more dangerous than the Hell in the Cell bump. Aj jumped off the top into the middle of the ring, and it looked like Steiner just got his knee blown out! Not a lot of people caught him it was bad, it was really bad, and it was a great match pivot point at this time. There were just too many people in the ring, which made things really bad. There was just too much going on for the camera’s to follow. In fact this reminded me of the old wrestling games on Genesis or SNES, just a lot of crap going on in the ring, the occasional nice finisher, but nothing really going good. Jarrett hit Booker T with a guitar shot, AJ pinned him and this train wreck of a match completely blew up and it was over. This match sucked, I’m sorry, it was just too jumbled.
Post match, the lights went out. Then out came none other than Bobby Lashley! That’s right, Bobby Lashley came out! BOBBY LASHLEY came out and pointed his finger at the cage!
Cactus Jack defeated Sting to win the TNA Championship
I saw Beyond the Mat this weekend and boy was that a nice lead into this match up, which featured a much older Mick Foley in a cage match against Sting for the Tna heavyweight title. Lame. Immediately, this match turned macabre with Cactus Jack getting his face grated open through the side of the cage. This match was a good attempt at trying to entertain jaded wrestling fans, and it told a good story. Sting’s overtly better wrestling skills and stamina shown through, as Cactus Jack was trying to give it another go at it. This match had a silent crowd for the most part, until Cactus put on the Scorpion Death Lock, but didn’t get a submission out of it. This was a really slow moving match up, and Cactus started to act like a madman. At one point he slid into the cage on purpose in order to hit the camera man, and then he tried to get out of the cage through a hole made for the camera guy. Sting turned on the Scorpion Death Lock, it looked like it was going to be over somehow. Meanwhile, Foley got the barbed wire bat into the ring, and was ready to use it on Sting! Cactus Jack hit Sting in the crotch with the barbed wire bat, it looked terrible; a drop toe hold got Foley down, and Sting got the bat and was ready for revenge. Mr. Socko comes out! Sting finally gets busted open, but not really crazy. Foley took the barbed wire bat and hit Sting in the face with it. Foley and Sting started to climb out of the cage, and FOLEY drops out of the cage first, to WIN the TNA World Title! That’s right, MICK FOLEY defeats STING to win the TNA TITLE! MICK FOLEY IS THE NEW TNA CHAMPION!

TNA Impact 10/23/08 Review and Results
Live from Las Vegas, NV Tna Impact finally gets it done like WWE…meaning the live part, not so sure about the show, but we’ll see won’t we?
Christy Hemme defeated Velvet Sky
This first match up was a little more than I expected out of Velvet Sky. However it was not her night as Chrisy Hemme really put the boots on her and eventually dropped a single leg guillotine leg drop off the top onto Sky for the victory! This match was somewhat short, but it was interesting enough to get my attention.
Backstage Kurt Angle & Booker T said that he would have an announcement that would change wrestling forever. He announces that there is a new faction in TNA Wrestling and the new faction consists of Kevin Nash, Booker T, Kurt Angle and……STING! They call themselves The Main Event Mafia!
Booker T’s briefcase contains, a NEW TNA championship belt. It’s red, it looks like a world boxing championship! It is called the TNA legends championship! That’s right, the LEGENDS CHAMPIONSHIP! Booker T follows up the announcement by claiming that he’s the sole Legends Champion, and the crowd goes into a Booker T chant.
Let’s rewind a little bit. Remember when Ted Dibiase couldn’t hold the WWF championship and after many bribes, futile attempts and story lines where Hogan would end up with the championship belt, he bought one? Remember? That’s right, well we are living in 2008 and we’re doing another similar story with Booker T. He went out and bought his own belt, then declared himself champion. The best thing about the Million Dollar Belt was that it helped bring in a young, fresh and hungry kid named The Ring Master…and he went on to be The King of The Ring 1996. That man is none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. I’m just saying.
Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal
The TNA x-division title was on the line in this match up, and Lethal had gotten this shot by winning the terror dome styled match at Bound for Glory. This match started out fast paced, and really was a great thing to see, as Lethal was doing everything in his power to make this match look good. He was jumping around, doing flips, and flying out of the ring into Abdul Bashir. He was making Sheik look really bad, and I thought for sure this was over when Lethal went to the top rope for the big elbow drop, but Abdul Bashir moved out of the way, and followed that up with a ddt to Lethal and it’s all over. Sheik Abdul Bashir defeats Lethal with the Weapon of Mass Destruction DDT.
Beer Money defeated Team 3-D, LAX, and Matt Morgan & Abyss
The tag team gauntlet was actually not half bad. The audience at home was suppose to text in what weapon should be legal in this match, and that didn’t come into play until later on. The match was like “War Games” where one member of another team would be introduced. So for a few minutes the freshest guy was doing every single move in his repertoire until someone realizes that they are in a match up. The best entrance was definitely Hernandez, who came in and really cleared house, but was thwarted by the teamwork of Team 3-D who set up the doomsday device, and that cooled the big man’s streak. Matt Morgan looks a lot better this week, as the arena is a little smaller, and the camera’s weren’t in their usual locations, so this guy really looked good. He came in and started throwing people over the top, left and right. He took out the majority of in ring participants, and it was down to one member of Beer Money and one member of 3D when Abyss came out, or at least it looked like that, but things changed. Morgan was immediately eliminated while the rest of the eliminated team members ganged up on Abyss on the outside of the ring. At this point they announced that Tables were legal in this match up. The crowd went nuts when Team 3-D brought in a table into the ring, and things weren’t looking good for Abyss as Devon and Bubba Ray had something special for him. They brought out the lighter fluid, and poured it all over the table, and this was really scary, considering that Abyss was legit injured at the ppv during this spot. Abyss jumps in and cleans house, only to get scared of the table, but he picks up a lighter, but gets beat by Devon. Beer Money jumps in and starts taking it to Team 3-D, Robert Roode ends up going through the table, although not on fire, and then things start to pick up. Team 3-D was set to win, but the ref was pulled, and that opened up James Storm to come in, spray beer into Team 3-D’s eyes, and Boom….Beer Money wins the tag team gauntlet via pinfall.
Awesome Kong defeated Taylor Wilde
This match was definitely a good idea, as I like seeing Taylor Wilde out there wrestling. She was sporting a knee brace, and it looks like she is going to really take a toll, as she is a smaller girl. Kong looked dominant, if only for a moment, but Wilde was really going to work on Kong. However, that was very short lived as she got caught with a huge Kong clothesline in mid air! The rest of the match was definitely back and forth, with Awesome Kong looking dominant as ever. Then after a distraction, Awesome Kong capitalized with the Awesome bomb and got the pinfall, winning the Knockouts Championship again.
Sting & Kevin Nash defeated Aj Styles & Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe and Sting started this match up, and Joe looked amazing against Sting. I’ve seen Sting’s matches since 1986 and you know what? He’s lost a few steps, he’s good, but he’s definitely not as fast as he once was. He is most likely off the juice, and a lot older. I thought Nash was dumb, he’s not as good as his “Big Sexy” days in WCW and definitely not as good as when he was wrestling Bret Hart. We then cut to break, and we see Aj Styles getting manhandled by Styles. Styles really looks great against anyone, and he really adapted his style to fit Sting. Nash got back in and Joe tagged in and Joe looked amazing again. Nash took a lot of bumps, which was odd, and I almost had to eat my words. Nash brings in the World Title, hits Samoa Joe with it, and wins this match via pinfall! That’s right, Nash and Sting defeat Samoa Joe!
Post match, The Main Event Mafia jumps Samoa Joe and Aj Styles! This was awesome and I finally get my wish. We finally have a new “stable” of sorts, and it’s almost like the old WCW days.
Mick Foley's big announcement is that he's the new Boss! That's right, he's the new general manager type? I don't know.

Tna Impact Results 9/18/08 and Review The Return of Double J
I admit, I didn’t want to watch TNA, I dreaded what was coming on, and I knew it wasn’t going to be good. I just hoped I was wrong, and with a whiny Samoa Joe starting things off, I fastened my seatbelt and waited for wrestling to show up on TNA Impact…I had my fingers crossed, and here’s how the wrestling went down.
Does anybody else get annoyed at how much whining Samoa Joe does? I liked him better when he was dominating the x-division and putting on 4 star matches with the likes of The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels. Now he’s just whining about how Sting isn’t always there to sacrifice. Lame, if you ask me.
Christian Cage & Aj Styles defeated The Motor City Machine Guns
I’m not sure why TNA puts two of their main event caliber wrestlers opening up the show with a couple of jobbers. The Machine Guns are good, but they haven’t proven themselves at all, and are usually put into these hot shot tag team matches only to lose. If you had money on The Machine Guns, you were sadly disappointed with yet another loss for the young guns of TNA. The good guys win this one easily, and it does nothing to forward their individual paths in TNA. Post match one of the Machine Guns flips Christian the bird, and the announcers go nuts about how Sting was right.
Please fire Mike Tenay and Don West! Worst announcers ever.
Johnny Devine, Petey Williams, and Jimmy Rave The Prince Justice Brotherhood
We had six man tag team action with the superheroes of TNA and three other jobbers. I kid, those guys aren’t jobbers, they are part of the Rock and Roll infection and the former x-division champion and current Scott Steiner clone Petey Williams. This match was quick, and really didn’t have time to develop at all. The best parts of the match featured Petey Williams, as he is very talented, despite his looks. The Justice Brotherhood won this one easily, and that was that, they left the ring fast.
Post match though, things got really exciting. The Rock and Roll Infection triple teamed Petey Willaims and during the melee, Lance Hoyt pushed the ref, but the ref got angry and started to fight back! Williams and the ref both started to clean house, and beat down the bad guys, and things get really good, Earl Hebner comes out to calm the ref down, and we’re most likely going to get the ref wrestling someone in the near future. Overall the best part of Impact so far was this post match melee, because the actual wrestling was too short and didn’t feature anything worthwhile.
Booker T defeated Jay Lethal
I’m not sure why I was so interested in this match up. But it was probably the best thing in wrestling this week. Black Machismo used to be more Macho Man-esque, but now he’s not really doing as much to resonate with Randy Savage fans. If you remember, Randy Savage did a lot of rest holds, alongside fast clotheslines, and top rope double axe handle smashes. Savage was fast, and he had a certain move set, but he had a charisma that Lethal doesn’t really have, even though Booker T is a great opponent to try and unleash more Randy Savage mannerisms. Lethal put in a lot of work into this matchup, and Booker T looked as though he wasn’t going to win this one, but right when I was thinking this thought, Booker T hit the scissors kick and BOOM, Lethal was out for the count and Booker T defeats Black Machismo clean with the scissors kick. Not half bad, I enjoyed it greatly.
Rhino & Taylor Wilde defeated Kip James & Velvet Sky
This match sucked. Kip James is huge, that’s what I realized when watching this match. He’s a huge guy, and he’s not being used in any capacity as a wrestler other than to act gay just like he was acting way back when. Rhino is ok, but I can’t rally behind him unless he’s goring people through tables. This match was really slow and boring, and while I should’ve cared a bit more, I just couldn’t stand to see these four wasting their talent on such a lackluster match. There was a lot of stalling, and a lot of misses that just seemed too obvious to be good. For example, Rhino is in the corner, Kip stalls, and then runs at him, and goes for a splash, but everything seemed to be in slow motion so Rhino moves out of the way, meanwhile Kip holds the ropes to let himself down onto the turnbuckle slowly, and reacts as though that move knocked the wind out of him. Taylor Wilde ducks a shot with pipe of sorts, then gets the win out of nowhere, and this match is finally over. This is the lowest point in the TNA Impact show, and the worst match I’ve seen in a long time. I’d rather see a WWE Jobbers match than watch this one ever again. I couldn’t even focus on the women to distract me, this match sucked, and it really made me want to go back to sleep.
The Double J Return
Double J Returned tonight, and boy did he have a lot to say. He basically told Sting that he was no better than the veterans of WCW and that the guys in the back are just waiting for him and Angle alongside Booker T to just step aside. I was impressed with this segment, and it was incredible to hear someone say that the veterans need to move out of the way and make the younger guys stars, BUT, this isn’t going to happen, you know it isn’t going to happen. Double J is stellar, and I’m happy to see him back in the business.
The best part of this promo at the end of Impact was Kurt Angle’s response to Double J. He called the fans assholes, he said that He alone carried the company for 2 years, single handedly! He then said that Double J is a has been and that if Jeff wants to come out and talk than he better be ready to get socked out. Kurt Angle then tells Double J to get the hell out of the ring, and that HE’S Not a wrestler and doesn’t have anything left.
What happens next is something that could’ve been great, but instead just simply makes me hate TNA. Mick Foley shows up on screen and cuts a Cactus Jack Promo, Mick Foley is now officially in TNA!

TNA Impact Review 8/14/2008 Different Approach
This week, I had a bad Friday morning, and couldn’t get the review done in the same fashion that I usually do it. However, I did manage to watch the show, so I’m writing this kind of by memory, so it’s not going to be as extensive as usual, so hang in there with me…I’m trying.
Christian Cage and Rhino defeated The Rock N’ Rave Infection
I don’t believe that a tag team that is not a real team, should defeat an established, regular tag team. So this match really made me upset as a wrestling fan. As a purist that is, but as a casual fan of TNA (considering that I’m not the greatest fan of their product) this match up was not bad. A lot of good in and out tags, Cage and Rhino were great, and almost seemed like a seasoned tag team. Rock N’ Roll Infection is all flash and not a whole lot more. Christy Hemme looked good for once, and she was covering up her forehead, so it wasn’t glaring off the lights. It was a good overall match, and a nice change of pace from the usual horrible matches that I’ve been watching this week.
Team 3D defeated Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash
This match bored me. It was basically the Samoa Joe show, as Nash didn’t do a whole lot in this one. Joe snapped after the match, and the win, by hitting Devon with a chair several times and this was interesting. Joe was going nuts! Earl Hebner reversed the decision after the fact and Team 3D picks up the win. I’m not sure what kind of implications this makes for the future, but Team 3D loses again.
The Blueprint Matt Morgan defeated Johnny Devine
This match sucked. Matt Morgan sucked. His matches are devoid of any charisma, and while he’s a big guy, he doesn’t execute that monster charisma that is needed to get over. He sucks, I’m sorry. After the match up Abyss and Morgan seem to team up…boring me some more.
I wish that Abyss took Morgan out, and just beat the living hell out of him. Then Morgan can get over as a guy that came back from the beat down to conquer the Abyss…but nope. The booking team at TNA have their heads in their butts.
Karen’s Angle sucked. Let’s never see this again. Watching Mr. Ass come out as gay…stupid, I bet he’s banging the beautiful people, seriously, I’d bang em….sorry, I’ll get back to pg rating.
Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jay Lethal
This was a boring match to me. I’m tired of seeing Jay Lethal trying to be Macho Man. He’s just not that damn good. Macho Man had charisma, Lethal is just a parody of a good wrestler. I hate it. Sheik Abdul is being touted as the “Arabian Nightmare” and I am not sure if that is a wise idea. We’ll see how tna works this all out.
Sonjay Dutt came out and beat down Lethal, and apparently their feud is not over. Great way to sell that match up from the ppv? Huh.
Taylor Wilde defeated Christy Hemme (Traci Brooks was the ref)
This match was good. It was quick and had a lot of good and solid wrestling. It is always a treat to see the TNA Knockouts. I would never want to fight them or even date them, they’d probably kill me fast. But man, would it be a nice way to go out, huh? The match was good, and Taylor Wilde wins again. Christy Hemme is not just a playboy cover girl, she can work really well in the ring and put on a good match up.
Afterwards Awesome Kong hit the ring, and tore up the women. Gail Kim ran down and helped out. This seems to be the standard in TNA, they just keep going to the same savior angle with Kim. They need to just book Kong vs. Kim in a specialty match, like a steel cage and let’s see them fight!
Hernandez defeated James Storm
The LAX feud continued again with some horrible singles match. Hernandez is cool and Storm is ok, but this match was boring. They need their tag partners to make this worth while.
Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle
This was a wrestling match! No, not a pro-wrestling match up, they took the ropes down and they did a traditional wrestling match. It was so horrible. I hate this type of crap. The ending was interesting though, they had the lights go out, Angle had a bat, and then the lights went out again and this time AJ had a guitar and smashed it into Kurt Angles head, and once again Angle was busted open the hard way! This is ridiculous!

Hernandez defeated James Storm
Taylor Wilde defeated Christy Hemme (Traci Brooks was the ref)
Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jay Lethal
The Blueprint Matt Morgan defeated Johnny Devine
Team 3D defeated Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash
Christian Cage and Rhino defeated The Rock N’ Rave Infection
This show wasn’t all that great. Sure, they stuffed the show with a lot more wrestling than WWE, but the execution of these matches weren’t that great. I didn’t think that they did pro-wrestling right. WCW at least made some very memorable moments, meanwhile TNA tries to rest on their laurels. There wasn’t as many interview segments and a lot of backstage stuff, although they did take place. This show seemed to have a lot more wrestling than I usually am used to with TNA. The crowd seemed into it at times too, so maybe this was a good show for the fans in attendance.
I can’t stand the announce team though. Seriously, the announce team sucks. They need Tony Shiavone back in there with Tenay!
I also don’t like TNA is a strong number 2.

Kurt Angle Has Lost His Touch
Kurt Angle lost last night to none other than Black Machismo. That's right, KURT ANGLE!
Kurt Angle used to be great, but now he's jobbing to a character that's based on another character...no not based....IS ANOTHER CHARACTER! Jay Lethal is mocking the Macho Man and is getting over?
How stupid are fans of TNA?
I'm glad I didn't pay to see that piece of crap.
