Impact Wrestling Redemption 2018 Results and Review

Impact Redemption 2018 Poster
As a wrestling fan, you know I watch a lot more wrestling than the average person. That’s the case for this week again, as I was able to catch the Impact Wrestling Redemption show. Well, here are my thoughts on the PPV that featured talent from Impact Wrestling, and Lucha Underground, oh and AAA as well. If you missed it, you may want to check it out. This show happened in Orlando Florida on April 22, 2018.

Impact Wrestling Redemption 2018 Results and Review

Aerostar defeated Drago

This was a singles match that was on half speed. The two are obviously good, but it seemed like they were miscommunicating in the ring, and it was a bit slow. Aerostar would win, but it was obvious that the two weren’t working their best match. It was a decent lucha opener with the normal spots you’d expect.

Eli Drake and Scott Steiner defeated LAX for the Impact World Tag Team Championship Titles

This was a fun match that featured a lot of Drake flying around the ring with Lax. Lax is good here, and I miss the older version of the group, but this one was good overall. When Steiner got tagged in he threw in a lot of suplexes, but got blown up fast. He was breathing heavy, but he managed to climb up to the top rope and hit a top rope Frankensteiner that blew me away, and eventually would get the big win with the help of Eli Drake. The two are now world tag team champions! A good overall match, but Steiner is looking lighter, and out of shape, or rather ring shape. Still good though, better than me on a lot of levels, so maybe I should give the guy a break.

Taya Valkyrie defeated Kiera Hogan

Kiera Hogan looks like Ember Moon, and I was stunned by her look and the Hogan name. Taya Valkyrie is hot, and I love her. I’d love to interview her. Valkyrie won, and took the boots to Hogan, really worked well and the two put on a decent back and forth match. It’s hard not to like Taya Valkyrie, she’s a good wrestler, and just appeals to me as a very attractive woman.

Matt Sydal defeated Petey Williams in the X Division Championship Match

This was an interesting back and forth match for the cruiserweight guys, and it was not too unlike what you’d expect from 205 Live. Sydal is Evan Bourne, mind you. Petey was able to throw down a lot of different offense including a Canadian Destroyer, but Bourne had the last laugh with a win here. They did well here, but it wasn’t their best work. A funny note before the match, Petey Williams was throwing down some Steiner math, when Steiner showed up and said that it’s Canadian math and it’s different. I marked out huge.

OVE defeated Eddie Edwards, Moose, and Tommy Dreamer in a House of Hardcore Match

This was your standard hardcore match with a lot of back and forth, hard hits, tables, chairs, and trash cans. OVE would win this round, but after the match Eddie Edwards snapped and tied Sami Callihan to the ropes and beat the crap out of him with a kendo stick. Callihan bladed on camera after a while, which was a dumb production move, as they didn’t cut away from it. Edwards eventually hit a woman with the kendo stick and that was the end of this. This was a cluster of a match, with lots of back and forth and some decent moves including Moose throwing himself across various plateaus and even a table with a cutter mid-way, lots of a fun.

Allie defeated Su Yung in the Impact Knockouts Championship Match

Wow, Su Yung’s character is amazing. I love her. I love the look, and love the style. She should be Sister Abigail, I’m calling it now. Allie is the cookie cuter American blonde champion, and she’s good. She reminds me a little of Madusa. After some decent back and forth, Allie would get the win, but barely escaping from Su Yung’s offense. I love her, did I mention that? Great back and forth and style from Su Yung and Allie did well too, throwing in some clever action for a decent victory.

Pentagon Jr. defeated Austin Aries, and Fenix for the Impact World Championship

This was not a great match, mind you. It was a lot like the match that they had in New Orleans during Mania weekend, but it was a good one to watch none the less. I did like Pentagon Jr and Fenix throwing down some great action against Aries, and was impressed with Aries as usual. Pentagon, however, wow, he’s ready for the top spot in nearly any company and WWE is stupid for not pushing him and the Demon, as the two would be killers together. Obviously, he’s not in that fed, but this was fun to watch, and the win cements him as a big time player, it was great to see overall. I loved it.

Overall, Impact Wrestling’s Redemption PPV was a good watch. I had fun, I didn’t hate any of it, and I’m curious to see how they follow this up. I won’t be watching Impact on a weekly basis, or maybe I will, I don’t know, but this was a great night of wrestling for them. I want to see how they can continue this momentum.

Tna Impact 3/12/09 Review and Results Final Destination for Main Event Mafia

Kurt Angle started this piece of crap review to much dismay. He is always out there trying to build heat, but he sucks at it now. He tries to call out Jeff Jarrett, and I can’t believe I’m reviewing this. Double J comes down but is stopped by Foley, and Foley came to the ring and told Angle to knock him out. This was another lame attempt at trying to get heat. Angle backed away, and didn’t knock out Foley. Also, no Don West at this point.

Rhino defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

Sheik Abdul Bashir came out and wrestled the war machine Rhino. This wasn’t a good match at all. It really bored me, as it was slow moving and proved nothing. Rhino won with a weak roll up, and that was that. After the match Sheik Abdul Bashir does a weird prayer thing, which is weird to say the least. This match sucked, terrible match, this match was nothing more than a jobbing.

Matt Morgan and Beer Money defeated Abyss and Team 3-D

This match was an elimination match. Apparently if Team 3-D didn’t win, they would be fired. I think that’s what Tenay was getting at. This was a boring match to me. Matt Morgan was left to fight of Abyss as Team 3-D was eliminated. This was obviously made to preview the ppv match up that is going to happen on Sunday. This, unfortunately, was the best part of this match up. I’m always surprised at how fast Abyss can be at times. Abyss was going to use the tacks, but it didn’t happen, as Matt Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint and it was over. This match sucked. 10:03 pm and only two matches have happened…what a load of crap. Team 3-D is still in action…I think they’ll have a title shot on Sunday.

Don West was leaving before the commercial break. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Don West showed up at one point during this telecast. Folley showed up to take his place for the second half of this show.

Taylor Wilde defeated Madison Rayne

This was cut short. It wasn’t a very good match. This was so bad that if you blinked, you missed the action. The Governor parody is dumb. This match ended in a melee or something. This match sucked, this edition of TNA is totally wrecked at this point.

After the commercial break, Scott Steiner knocked out Mick Foley with a lead pipe. Booker T was distracting him and Steiner ran out with a lead pipe and BOOM, knocked him out. Awesome, huh? Another lame story line for TNA; and maybe I’m just too tired for this, but this is the worst thing I’ve seen in wrestling in a long time. Why does anyone still watch TNA? I do it cause there is no real #2 in professional wrestling today, and it’s sad. Maybe someone will get a real shot at competing with WWE, but it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. If TNA is the alternative, man, we’re all doomed; all wrestling fans are forced to settle for a terrible, terrible product.

Lethal Consequences & Lax defeated The Motor City Machines Guns and Members of the Main Event Mafia

Quite honestly, this match was terrible. TNA has a way of wasting their program with terrible wrestling. This was it, this is terrible; the good guys win, and that’s the end of that.

Eric Young defeated Rocco

Talk about a terrible piece of crap. This main event had some fat dude named Rocco as Kurt Angle’s pick to wrestle Sting’s pick of Eric Young. I kid you not when I say that this was the worst idea I’ve ever seen. The fat dude, Rocco, is just some fat dude…seriously, just some random fat dude. Eric Young wins, by delivering a huge death valley driver on the big man, and it was over.

Rocco was just some random fat guy. NO, not like Earthquake, when Dino Bravo discovered him. This fat dude is just a fat dude, and he was backed by Kurt Angle; I wanted to fire al the TNA writers because of this.

Foley ran down to fight with Angle. Double J showed up with a chair and hit anything that moved. He then almost knocked out Steiner, but STING protected the idiots. No one in their right mind liked TNA, I know I didn't. TNA SUCKS!

TNA Impact 3/5/09 Results and Review Angle Suspended

TNA opens with a message from Jeff Jarrett. He states that Angle has been suspended without pay for beating up Foley and himself. Then we get into the night of wrestling…oh boy.

The show continued to having Sting out at ringside and getting a pep talk from Kevin Nash. It was boring. The same thing that was going on for a while now, nothing to even mention; TNA is doing it wrong, that’s for sure, another terrible opening from Tna, thanks.

Alex Shelley defeated Kiyoshi

The small guys throw together an ok match up. Kiyoshi is an interesting wrestler and has a definitive Great Muta vibe going. I still think Alex Shelley has the worst music in professional wrestling. I haven’t heard such lame music for a champion in a long time. The match seemed a half step too slow, and I wonder if Kiyoshi has a language barrier in this match up. He put up a great match but the champion seemed to know what to do, and how to react to Kiyoshi’s strong style of wrestling. Overall, this match was way too slow. I think that TNA needs to allow more time for these x-division match ups to develop.

Post match, Suicide came down to the ring and beat up The Motor City Machine Guns. This masked wrestler is the worst idea for TNA. Whomever is under the mask, sucks.

The Beautiful People defeated Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed and Sojourner Bolt & Rhaka Khan, and Roxxi & Taylor Wilde

The knockouts are ok. At least in this match, there’s just too much going on in this match. A lot of fast moves, a lot of quick tags, and not a whole lot of in ring action. This match was way too fast, and it finished quickly, with interference from Madison Rayne. I’m not sure why TNA doesn’t let their matches develop stories, they just go out there and have clusters of explosive action. It’s funny to me that they have Governor Palin in there, she’s dropping bombs with the Thrilla from Wasilla! It’s funny to me because my wife is from Alaska, and I’ve been to that city, it’s nothing crazy. Alright, the match was ok at best.

Samoa Joe brings out a knife and nearly cuts Scott Steiner with it. Also, Aj Styles stole the Legends Title, only to get arrested for it. Then Don West and Mike Tenay argued over some random crap, all of this and no wrestling action.

Matt Morgan defeated Shane Sewell

This match was a squashing of Shane Sewell. Matt Morgan sucks, and doesn’t really showcase a lot of charisma to me. Matt Morgan wins, easy, and that’s it.

Oh, the running gag on the show was that Double J gave Kurt Angle’s salary to the x-division guys. They all bought suits and looked sharp on Angle’s dime. So every other interview had Kurt Angle beating them up for it. It was lame, but it’s the running gag.

LAX defeated Beer Money via disqualification

Once again, the best part of TNA this week has to be these tag team title matches. Beer Money has some great chemistry together and reminds me a lot of the old Brain Busters team at times. LAX looked like they were on the way to another title reign, but Beer Money deliberately were disqualified so that they wouldn’t loose the belts! LAX wins, but doesn’t get the titles. Team 3-D runs down to help LAX and Beer Money make their exits.

At the start of Impact Double J clearly said he wasn’t a wrestler and that Sting would handle Kurt Angle. At the end of the show Double J and Kurt Angle were fighting each other. This was basically a street fight, and Double J was desperately trying to get over with the TNA impact crowd. He was basically fighting Kurt Angle tooth & nail. Jeff Jarrett threw Kurt Angle out of the building, with a little help from Team 3-D and Mick Foley, and the crowd went nuts for this ending of Impact.

You know what? Not bad Tna, you guys made something crappy turn out kind of cool at the end. Good job for once.

Tna Impact 2/19/09 Results and Review More Angle Less Sting

The last time I heard of an empty arena match it was for the Super Bowl half time and featured Mick Foley and the Rock. It was one of the worst pieces of crap that wrestling has ever thrown at us.

The Motor City Machine defeated Guns Lethal Consequences

These two teams really fought each other, and it was basically a TLC match up. There were a lot of hard spots, including ladders and chairs. This match was a classic spot fest, and was almost like ECW had a small child, because this is what it used to be like back on ECW tv. The Motor City Machine Guns took over and won this match up, and their lame theme song played. I hate their entrance music, it’s so soft; this was an ok match at best.

Shane Sewell and LAX defeated Brutus Magnus, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Matt Morgan

I guess Matt Morgan is heel now. Whatever, this match started off slow, and picked up a little, as most matches of this magnitude tend to do. Overall, not a terrible match up, but I’m not sure why this match happened. It seemed like they basically smashed six guys together because they needed to get some air time, that’s about it. Hernandez hit the Border Toss on Bashir and Shane Sewell got tagged in for the quick top rope move and it was over!

Taylor Wilde defeated Angelina Love

This match was good. Pretty standard Knockouts match up. I am always surprised with these women and I’m never not interesting in their matches; that being said, this match was a little short and I wanted more to it, but I guess they need to clear some room, good overall.

Beer Money defeated Team Canada (Eric Young & Petey Williams)

Apparently this match was for the careers or the belts. Weird. The former Team Canada members were working perfectly together, making this an entertaining early match up. Beer Money did get the upper hand after a while, but it wasn’t as impressive as the younger guys, who were like a house on fire in this match up, throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Beer Money. Storm hit the Last Call on Petey Williams and it’s all over! Petey Williams is supposedly fired….I don’t know.

Sting vs. Kurt Angle (no contest)

I hate empty arena matches. Terry Funk fought Jerry Lawler in an empty arena match that was kind of cool, but these things usually suck. This match had both men outside of the ring, out to the floor and through the bleacher sections. Kurt Angle did a lot of taunting, which made the match stupid for me, because I don’t need to hear him talking. Sting was ready to knockout Kurt Angle with a chair, and Angle was crying and begging for Sting not to hit him, prompting Nash to come out and begging for it. Angle then asked to hit him, then Nash and Steiner stopped the match. So much for a clear cut winner…this sucked.

TNA Impact 1/15/09 Review and Results When Icons Collide

Kurt Angle came out to run his mouth. It was a long winded diatribe about how the Main Event Mafia is going to end the war. It wasn’t all that great. Hernandez came out and cashed in his world championship title shot! That’s right, he is going to face STING later tonight

Hernandez defeated Sting via disqualification

Sting came out strong against Hernandez. However, it took some time, as Hernandez really try to make a name for himself early on, but the veteran made sure to pace himself, turning the tables around and forcing Hernandez to wake up. The main event mafia was at ringside, so I didn’t think that Hernandez had much of a shot to win this one. Right after I typed that, the mafia jumped into the ring and forced the disqualification. Homicide ran down to help him out, but the Mafia’s numbers were just too much for him, and they eventually got the upper hand. Aj Styles ran down to help, but he too couldn’t overcome the numbers game and the Mafia was looking like the N.W.O of old! Brother Ray came back and things were looking all new as he was taking out everyone in the mafia!

Roxxi , Taylor Wilde, and Roxxi defeated The Kongtourage

The women of TNA once again come out and put on a show for those of you that saw it. I admit, I’m getting tired of seeing six man tag matches between these women. (More like six women tag matches, right?) This match overall was your standard match between these women, as they are no strangers to each other. The action spilled to the outside of the ring, an things were getting bad, but eventually ODB and Sojourner Bolt ended up in the middle of the ring and it didn’t look good for ODB as she was getting dominated in this match up, towards the close. I really liked Roxxi in this match up, she was really showing off as she was dropping bombs and haymakers on Kong’s team. Rhaka Khan was set to Chokeslam Roxxi but Roxxi turned it into the Voodoo Drop for the pinfall! That movie looks so good! Great match, I love the women of TNA, screw the divas, TNA has the best women wrestlers!

Lethal Consequences defeated Abyss & Matt Morgan

Once again Matt Morgan teamsup with Abyss, which was kind of weird considering what went down at the ppv on Sunday. This was the Matt Morgan show, as Matt Morgan would not tag in Abyss for the early moments of this job. He was dominating this match up with ease. Abyss got hit in the face immediately with a big boot, and the former tag champs were in sync to getting Abyss pinned and Morgan rocked! A double suicide dive took out Matt Morgan on the outside of the ring, Abyss was back inside getting assaultd via all sorts of offensive fury, and this was looking like a dream match. Matt Morgan dropped Creed with a fallaway slam ala Scott Hall, but Abyss dropped Jay Lethal with a powerbomb right on top of Matt Morgan! Lethal pinned Morgan getting the pinfall victory!

Post match, Matt Morgan fights Abyss, but out comes security! Where was security when the Main Event Mafia was killing people in the opening parts of tonight’s Impact? This is lame. Speaking of security, remember when Bam Bam Bigelow invaded WCW, to attack Bill Goldberg? That was awesome.

Aj Styles defeated Scott Steiner w/ Mick Foley as special Enforcer

The main event was supposed to be Kurt Angle and Aj Styles, but because Angle got beat down and thrown through a table at the beginning of this show, Aj Styles was out there fighting Scott Steiner. Steiner and Aj put on a mediocre match. Styles tried to carry the match, but Steiner isn’t that good, he hasn’t been good since the early 90’s when him and Rick Steiner put on shows left and right in WCW. Mick Foley was at ringside positioning himself as the enforcer. This match bored me after a while. Steiner’s power moves really limit Aj Styles from doing anything too great. There was a great bridge suplex towards the closing moments of this match, but it wasn’t the end all. Aj pounced on the ref, and Foley was forced into getting involved with the match. Steiner hit Foley in the back of the head with a lead pipe, knocking out Mick Foley. Then Steiner used the lead pipe to knock out Aj Styles but couldn’t get the pinfall! Steiner cinched in the Steiner Recliner and it did not look good for Aj Styles at this point. Petey Williams ran out to ringside and delivered a Missile Dropkick on Steiner, Aj got up and took advantage and won this match up via pinfall!

Overall this night of Impact sucked. I liked a couple of things, but it just seemed like the TNA people don't want to put on a good wrestling show. They spent the first hour with only one match, and the second hour rushing through spots to get to the main event. I'm not fascinated by the wrestling of TNA. They should switch back to the four sided ring, and stick to simple wrestling formulas. Not this NWO crap they are mirroring right now.

TNA Genesis 2009 ppv Results and Review

Here we go folks, the first ppv for the TNA wrestling brand, and it should be a slobber knocker right? Who knows…one thing is for sure, it’s been brewing for a while, this one.

Lax & Eric Young defeated Sonjay Dutt, Jimmy Rave, and Tanahashi

*note, my sound was messed up and TNA didn’t put up the names of those involved in this opening match, so I had to just guess what was going on.

The match started fast paced, and stayed that way overall. The guys in this match are all veterans of the x-division and tag team openers on ppv. Homicide looked great and with Hernandez, just looked so crisp overall, they re so great as a team, I can’t imagine them not being a team forever. Things change though, we’ll see how it all pans out. The first half of the match was all LAX those dudes had this match in complete control. Eric Young once again looks so good, I can’t believe they wasted him in the prince justice brotherhood for so long. This match was mostly x-division style. If you’re a fan of high spot matches, you’d enjoy this match greatly, it was mostly high spots and fast paced action. Midway through the match up I realized that this was an elimination style tag team match. Thanks Comcast for the sound sucking on the ppv. The ending of this match was basically all Hernandez, as he put away three guys in a row.

Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin

This match opened up with a stalemate, with each skater reversing the others slow motion tests of strength. Then things started to open up, as is the case with all x-division match ups. Sabin looked stronger to me in this match up, Shelley seemed to be desperate to keep up, but that caused mistakes and things were just one sided mid match up. Then it really opened up and things were just changing. Alex Shelley was my early on favorite in this match up, but it seemed that Sabin was getting little comebacks left and right. I thought for sure Alex Shelley was going to win with a picture perfect frog splash, but sabin fought back and was hitting some major power moves to get closer and closer to winning this match up. Alex Shelley managed to pick up the win on this match, and somewhat surprising to Sabin, and is the NEW x-division champion! Shelley played injured, then rolled up Sabin for the win. They hugged afterwards, showing no major hurt feelings.

Shane Sewell defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

This match up was brewing for a long time, and it’s about tiem we got this thing to happen. Sheik has to be one of the most hated wrestlers in professional wrestling today. Shane started this match like a man possessed, immediately fighting Bashir tooth and nail, not letting any rest happen in this match. Bashir was getting worked over like a jobber early on. It’s actually exciting to see a match of this capacity, due to the build up that was created from the weeks of set up. Sheik Bashir had a few moments of action, and was looking to be set to win this one, but Shane kept turning things around and it just looked like he was headed for an easy win. The crowd was getting behind him too, and this could be the birth of an all new good professional wrestling talent for a change! As soon as the figure four leg lock was applied, the crowd went crazy with whole sections going, “Wooo!”. Bashir got out and then started to punish the former ref within near disqualification realms. At this point Bashir got frustrated with Earl Hebner, shoved him, and Hebner swung at Bashir! The chase was on, and Shane got back in with a surprise sunset flip for the pinfall victory! The referees came out to ringside and won this match, that’s right, Shane defeats Sheik Abdul Bashir!

Beer Money Inc. defeated Matt Morgan & Abyss and Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed

Due to the impact match, this three way dance was for the TNA tag team titles, and why not? A very exciting match up we had here, but it was slow to move forward. As the match progressed, each team kept trying to one up one another and score the pinfall, but then Abyss came in and just killed! Ok, maybe not kill, but him and Matt Morgan really proved to be the guys to watch in this match. Beer Money though, proved that hey are the best team a they were really trying to stay focused and prove their thing. Matt Morgan was starting to look weak, s Beer Money finally was getting owned. Abyss grabbed one of the belts, and then accidentally knocked out Matt Morgan! Robert Roode has this thing sewn up, but then Machismo hit the big elbow, before getting a super kick to the face! Robert Roode once again rolled over onto Matt Morgan and scored the victory! That’s right, Beer Money inc win again!

Post match, Matt Morgan seemed really frustrated with Abyss and really swerved the crowd. Ok, we saw it coming, but still. Matt Morgan got really mad at Abyss and started yelling at him. The camera cut to backstage, and that was that.

ODB, Roxxi, and Taylor Wilde defeated Raisha Saeed, Rhaka Khan, and Sojourner Bolt

This six man tag might have been a replacement for the women’s title match, or just another match on the card. I’m not sure. I didn’t really hear what was going on as my sound kept cutting out. I love the knockouts of tna, they prove time and time again that they are the best thing going as far as female professional wrestling. Forget the wwe divas, they suck compared to this. Awesome kong’s team lost this one. It prompted Awesome Kong to come out and push ODB the fight was on! The rest of the matches participants started fighting, and Kong stood over Odb before delivering a huge choke slam!

Kurt Angle defeated Jeff Jarrett

I haven’t seen a match with this much force in a long time. Not since probably an old Bret Hart, Mr Perfect match up. Jarrett came in ther working stiff and Angle was meeting him right there. Jarrett hasn’t looked this great in years. Seriously, he was out there like a house of fire, it was awesome. Kurt Angle took a nasty spill outside and then Jarrett followed him by nearly beheading himself on the floor outside, as dove over the top! Seriously, it looked scary, and he just face planted the floor. Kurt Angle looked to be too far away to catch him. Jeff Jarrett was busted open, and Angle pounced yet again! There was another nasty spot as Kurt Angle dropped Jarrett through a table off the TNA Genesis stage, and it looked sick, seriously, this looked so sick. I thought Jarrett was broken in half, as the table slipped on the floor and broke in half, but it just looked sick. If you saw it, you know what I’m talking about. This match was getting really good, and double J introduced the guitar! Angle managed to avoid the initial set up of the guitar and looked to be the aggressor at this point. Angle nearly behead Jarrett with a steel chair, then planted him back into near submission with the Ankle Lock submission! This thing looked to be over as Double J was in serious looking pain, and right in the center of the ring! Double J escaped, and managed to reverse the Angle slam into a ddt, then when for the guitar, but cut the neck off, only to reach for the Steel Chair that Angle used previously. Double J hit Angle square in the face with the steel chair and I thought for sure this thing was over. Kurt Angle was covered, but rolled Jarrett into a pinning situation, and this thing looked to be in his favor as it stunned Double J long enough to lose this match up. That’s right, Kurt Angle defeats Jeff Jarrett with a surprise roll up from a pinning position. A lateral press into a pin and it was all over.

Post match up, Kurt Angle beat up Double J and then stomped his ankle into a steel chair. Things looked bad, and then he left the ring.

Sting defeated Rhino

The whole night they have been saying that Rhino was missing and that no one could find him. So when things went downhill and he showed up bleeding and hurt, I wasn’t surprised at all. This match was a standard methodical Sting match. Rhino did get in some great offense up front, but he was no match for sting, as he easily wins this one. Someone give Sting some competition, because this is just not that great for me. Sorry.

Kevin Nash was not in our main event. So the Main Event Mafia gets a new person to come in and that person is Kip James!

Brother Devon, Aj Styles, and Mick Foley defeated Booker T, Kip James and Scott Steiner

What can I say? These six man tag matches aren’t that great to me. I don’t like them all that much because it seems like I’ve already seen every single combination of tag team turmoil that I can possibly see in these modern times. This was a normal tag match, then it got really bad, and Jim Cornette declared it a HARDCORE match. That’s right, texas tornado no rules match and things go nuts. Foley goes through a table Aj goes through a table, socko comes into play right into Booker T’s mouth. A trash can shot happens somewhere in here, and THE PLUNDER ALERT siren is going off, as Foley gets his butt kicked by the mafia. Mick Foley gets the pinfall here, and it was lame. FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS!

Overall an Ok ppv. I didn’t expect too much from TNA. They aren’t known for their super cards at all. This isn’t going to top the Royal Rumble this year, but I think that it’s going to be better, personally. The best match here for me was the referee killing the Sheik, and of course the knockouts, wow, good stuff yet again from the women of TNA. If you missed this one, you didn’t miss much, in my humble opinion.

Tna Impact 12/11/08 Angle Gets Jarrett Review and Results

I’m tired again and I don’t want to watch Tna, but I somehow make it through.

The opening of the show is just the Main Event Mafia and the TNA Originals arguing about random crap. They also announce an x-division tournament to determine a new –division champion, since they have once again stripped Eric Young of the title.

Eric Young defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

The first round of the tournament started with the same match we saw the last two ppv’s. The two put together a decent, although very short match. The match had no major highlights except for the Eric Young suplex roll up pinfall victory. No new ref dealings, but it was all good. Quick match, worthy of wwe velocity or something, nothing too special, and if you missed it, it wasn’t all that great. They don’t let the x-division shine on free television, where they should.

Alex Shelley defeated Black Machismo Jay Lethal

This match should have been way better, considering what went down at the ppv, but for whatever reasons, it just didn’t happen the way I expected. Once again a short, quick spot match up. The best part was definitely Jay Lethal jumping out of the ring with a suicide dive on Sabin! Sabin wasn’t even paying too much attention and it looked surprising. Shelley won a rather simple and easy match up to move on in the tournament.

James Storm defeated Abyss in a beer on a pole match

This was the worst gimmick on a pole match I’ve seen in a long time. They finally made things idiotic, a beer on a pole match? Seriously? What the heck guys? FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS! Seriously, FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS! This match was lame, Abyss hit the Black Hole Slam but didn’t go for the pin. Matt Morgan ran down to help, but Bobby Roode nearly knocked out Abyss with a chair, and James Storm wins this very stupid gimmick match up.

They opened up the stupid gimmick cases.

Hernandez case #4 got him: World Title shot!
Curry Man case #3 got him: Fired!
Homicide case #1 got him: X-Division Title Shot!

I knew they were going to fire Curry man. So now Christopher Daniels can be Suicide right? I don’t know.

Christy Hemme defeated Sojourner Bolt

I wasn’t surprised by this. Sojourner Bolt gave a good challenge, then the heel turn happened. Not bad. Awesome Kong might have a new ally here. Hemme freaked out after the match and attacked her opponent. This match wasn’t too memorable at all, at least I didn’t think so.

Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Kurt Angle fought to a no contest

This match was stupid to. Bubba Ray hasn’t been a relevant singles wrestler since his lonely run in WWE where he lost a lot of weight. This turned into an ECW reminder with Bubba Ray cut wide open and the two wrestlers fighting in the back stage area. This was definitely a throwback for me, because this used to happen all the time on ECW tv. Scott Steiner hit Bubba Ray Dudley with a pipe and the rest of the mafia beat him down. Lame.

TNA Impact 11/6/08 Review and Results Hitman For The Mafia

The show opens with the Main Event Mafia and an introduction to Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner. He’s the “hitman” for the Mafia.

Booker T & Beer Money defeated Christian & The Motor City Machine Guns

Here we have a six man tag, and I’m not really sure why. I though only WWE perpetually gave us six man tag matches for no apparent reason, and I guess TNA is doing this now too. I know they’ve done it all along but this is the first time I realized it. This match wasn’t too bad, but the ending was kind of stupid to me, a little too much really. The Machine Gun were outside the ring fighting Beer Money while Christian seemed to have things sewn up against Booker T, only to get distracted and then get hit in the head with the TNA Legends belt, and that was that. Booker T pinned Chrisitan Cage.

Matt Morgan & Abyss defeated Tanahashi & Volador, Team 3-D, and Lax

A four way ladder match for a shot at the TNA title, and this was just a huge spot fest. This contest was done Texas Tornado style and each team was in the ring at the same time, as it should be. However, throughout this whole match you didn’t see more than 4 people in the ring at the same time. The best spot was definitely Hernandez jumping out of the ring and getting a face full of ladder as he was 10 feet short of a 12 foot jump. This match seemed to be going fast, but there was a lot of time in between spots spent just setting up the next spot. The whole ring was laid out, and I thought for sure this thing was going to favor Team 3-D somehow, but instead, Abyss climbed to the top of the ladder and pulled down the contract and now they get a shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles!

Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed defeated Taylor Wilde & Rhaka Khan

I wasn’t too sure about this match up, simply because we’ve already seen two tag team matches on the show, even if they were for different reasons. I’m tired of seeing tag matches, honestly, but this wasn’t so bad. Taylor Wilde was the one taking most of the punishment, as Awesome Kong was putting on a wrestling clinic with her, showing her power and prowess. Taylor Wilde was getting worked immediately, and this was most likely because Rhaka Khan can’t really wrestle all that well. Rhaka gets the tag, and she comes in only to chokeslam Taylor Wilde and allow Awesome Kong to deliver the implant buster and Taylor Wilde gets worked in this match up. This is how you do a turn and squash match! Awesome, Taylor Wilde is a true competitor as she takes one heck of a beating in this match up. This is how you do women’s wrestling!

Sting & Kurt Angle defeated Eric Young, Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal

This had squash all over it, seriously, there was no way that these guys were going over on Nash, Sting, and Kurt Angle. OH and thanks TNA ANOTHER six man tag match on the show? Another tag match? Please stop throwing tag matches at me. This was a really quick match and there was not a whole lot to it. I don’t know why I expected more out of TNA because they really screwed me over on this one. Kurt Angle delivered the Angle Slam for the victory as Sting and Nash took care of Lethal and Young on the outside of the ring. This was quick and easy, and a waste of time for anyone watching Tna Impact this week.

Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner defeated Samoa Joe

Finally, a singles match up on TNA Wrestling. Scott Steiner hasn’t been relevant for a long time, but here he’s not half bad. He seems to have lost a considerable amount of weight, and while he still looks large, he doesn’t look as huge as he was in his last WWE run or even his last moments in WCW. He’s still somewhat larger than he was in the early 90’s. Samoa Joe put some great moments in this match even if it was a television match up. I was impressed that Scott Steiner had no problem lifting Joe and throwing him around with some great suplexes, and I was beginning to turn my opinion a little in the early goings of this match up. Best part of this match up was when Joe was running the ropes he missed Scott Steiner only to jump out of the ring with a suicide dive into Kevin Nash who was standing outside of the ring! On returning into the ring though, Scott Steiner knocked him out with a pair of Brass Knuckles, and it was all over!

TNA Impact 10/23/08 Review and Results

Live from Las Vegas, NV Tna Impact finally gets it done like WWE…meaning the live part, not so sure about the show, but we’ll see won’t we?

Christy Hemme defeated Velvet Sky

This first match up was a little more than I expected out of Velvet Sky. However it was not her night as Chrisy Hemme really put the boots on her and eventually dropped a single leg guillotine leg drop off the top onto Sky for the victory! This match was somewhat short, but it was interesting enough to get my attention.

Backstage Kurt Angle & Booker T said that he would have an announcement that would change wrestling forever. He announces that there is a new faction in TNA Wrestling and the new faction consists of Kevin Nash, Booker T, Kurt Angle and……STING! They call themselves The Main Event Mafia!

Booker T’s briefcase contains, a NEW TNA championship belt. It’s red, it looks like a world boxing championship! It is called the TNA legends championship! That’s right, the LEGENDS CHAMPIONSHIP! Booker T follows up the announcement by claiming that he’s the sole Legends Champion, and the crowd goes into a Booker T chant.

Let’s rewind a little bit. Remember when Ted Dibiase couldn’t hold the WWF championship and after many bribes, futile attempts and story lines where Hogan would end up with the championship belt, he bought one? Remember? That’s right, well we are living in 2008 and we’re doing another similar story with Booker T. He went out and bought his own belt, then declared himself champion. The best thing about the Million Dollar Belt was that it helped bring in a young, fresh and hungry kid named The Ring Master…and he went on to be The King of The Ring 1996. That man is none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. I’m just saying.

Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal

The TNA x-division title was on the line in this match up, and Lethal had gotten this shot by winning the terror dome styled match at Bound for Glory. This match started out fast paced, and really was a great thing to see, as Lethal was doing everything in his power to make this match look good. He was jumping around, doing flips, and flying out of the ring into Abdul Bashir. He was making Sheik look really bad, and I thought for sure this was over when Lethal went to the top rope for the big elbow drop, but Abdul Bashir moved out of the way, and followed that up with a ddt to Lethal and it’s all over. Sheik Abdul Bashir defeats Lethal with the Weapon of Mass Destruction DDT.

Beer Money defeated Team 3-D, LAX, and Matt Morgan & Abyss

The tag team gauntlet was actually not half bad. The audience at home was suppose to text in what weapon should be legal in this match, and that didn’t come into play until later on. The match was like “War Games” where one member of another team would be introduced. So for a few minutes the freshest guy was doing every single move in his repertoire until someone realizes that they are in a match up. The best entrance was definitely Hernandez, who came in and really cleared house, but was thwarted by the teamwork of Team 3-D who set up the doomsday device, and that cooled the big man’s streak. Matt Morgan looks a lot better this week, as the arena is a little smaller, and the camera’s weren’t in their usual locations, so this guy really looked good. He came in and started throwing people over the top, left and right. He took out the majority of in ring participants, and it was down to one member of Beer Money and one member of 3D when Abyss came out, or at least it looked like that, but things changed. Morgan was immediately eliminated while the rest of the eliminated team members ganged up on Abyss on the outside of the ring. At this point they announced that Tables were legal in this match up. The crowd went nuts when Team 3-D brought in a table into the ring, and things weren’t looking good for Abyss as Devon and Bubba Ray had something special for him. They brought out the lighter fluid, and poured it all over the table, and this was really scary, considering that Abyss was legit injured at the ppv during this spot. Abyss jumps in and cleans house, only to get scared of the table, but he picks up a lighter, but gets beat by Devon. Beer Money jumps in and starts taking it to Team 3-D, Robert Roode ends up going through the table, although not on fire, and then things start to pick up. Team 3-D was set to win, but the ref was pulled, and that opened up James Storm to come in, spray beer into Team 3-D’s eyes, and Boom….Beer Money wins the tag team gauntlet via pinfall.

Awesome Kong defeated Taylor Wilde

This match was definitely a good idea, as I like seeing Taylor Wilde out there wrestling. She was sporting a knee brace, and it looks like she is going to really take a toll, as she is a smaller girl. Kong looked dominant, if only for a moment, but Wilde was really going to work on Kong. However, that was very short lived as she got caught with a huge Kong clothesline in mid air! The rest of the match was definitely back and forth, with Awesome Kong looking dominant as ever. Then after a distraction, Awesome Kong capitalized with the Awesome bomb and got the pinfall, winning the Knockouts Championship again.

Sting & Kevin Nash defeated Aj Styles & Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe and Sting started this match up, and Joe looked amazing against Sting. I’ve seen Sting’s matches since 1986 and you know what? He’s lost a few steps, he’s good, but he’s definitely not as fast as he once was. He is most likely off the juice, and a lot older. I thought Nash was dumb, he’s not as good as his “Big Sexy” days in WCW and definitely not as good as when he was wrestling Bret Hart. We then cut to break, and we see Aj Styles getting manhandled by Styles. Styles really looks great against anyone, and he really adapted his style to fit Sting. Nash got back in and Joe tagged in and Joe looked amazing again. Nash took a lot of bumps, which was odd, and I almost had to eat my words. Nash brings in the World Title, hits Samoa Joe with it, and wins this match via pinfall! That’s right, Nash and Sting defeat Samoa Joe!

Post match, The Main Event Mafia jumps Samoa Joe and Aj Styles! This was awesome and I finally get my wish. We finally have a new “stable” of sorts, and it’s almost like the old WCW days.

Mick Foley's big announcement is that he's the new Boss! That's right, he's the new general manager type? I don't know.

Not that great. TNA Impact was better than usual, but still has a long way to go. I hope that they do more live events rather than pre-recording crap. I'm not sure how this will all turn out, but I'm sure there is greatness to be had.

TNA Impact 10/2/08 Results and Review

I was looking forward to see TNA Impact, and I admit it was all because of Mick Foley arriving into the TNA. It was lackluster to say the least.

Angelina Love defeated ODB

WE get the Knockouts up front and in the center of the ring. ODB is gross to me, she’s really gross, she just looks weird to me, I’m sorry. The match was ok at best, it tried to be a lot, but it didn’t really pan out like I thought it would. The end came with Angelina Love getting the pin, thanks to interference, and it was all over.

It’s interesting to note that immediately after the match, Jeff Jarrett came out to the ring to discuss Kurt Angle’s comments. If you didn’t hear about the comments, here they are:

"...We call ourselves Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. We say: TNA – we are wrestling. No we’re not. We’re f***ing gimmick matches. Then there are the run-ins. At the last PPV, No Surrender, we had a triple threat main event between me, Christian Cage and Samoa Joe. We had a great match, but Samoa Joe won because Jeff Jarrett came in and hit me with a guitar. I would have won if Jeff didn’t do that."

There you have it. There you have it indeed. Kurt Angle is either swerving us all and this is a work, or this is a legit shoot and Jeff Jarrett is going to come out and talk legitimately. It’s funny that there is a storyline going on right now where Kurt Angle is wrestling Jeff Jarrett and this story comes out and is now a part of the storyline. I’m not sure what to believe from TNA, and maybe that’s the kind of push they need to gain interest into this feud.

The Jarrett Promo is a little weird. But he looks serious, I’m not sure if this is all a work or not, and you know what, I like that. I like not knowing, it’s about time someone does something a little different.

LAX defeated The Motor City Machine Guns

I like LAX and I had a vision as they were coming to the ring. What if WWE signed them, then signed Lil Cholo from the independent circuit, and then signed Hector Guerrero, brought in Chavo, and Super Crazy and we had a huge latino faction in the WWE? I know they tried before but that was more of a parody, not a legit faction. I think it could work.

This match was ok, it had a lot of spots, and it was fast paced. LAX are just as good as the Dudleys used to be. These guys are well fitted as a tag team and could go really far if they ever made it to the WWE, if the WWE really focused on the tag team division again. I can’t help but notice that the Machine Guns were allowed a lot of offense this week, considering that they have been on a losing streak for quite sometime. They really worked as a tag team in this one, with tandem moves, great reversals and lots of high flying, fast offense. Hernandez catching Sabin off the top rope and dropping him on the back of his head ended this match, and it was awesome to see how quick Hernandez reacted to Sabin flying off the top rope. This was like second nature, great ending, to a not so great match. It was ok, it wasn’t all that great, but it had enough spots to make things alright.

Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Eric Young and Jimmy Rave

We go from getting the x-division champion getting squashed last week, to him dominating this match up. Well, I wouldn’t call it total domination, but he definitely didn’t look as weak as he did when he was wrestling Samoa Joe, which is good for the division, but lacks consistency if you ask me. This match was your standard three way match up, with lots of fast reversals, great interim spots, and overall good stuff. This match was quite entertaining, as it was moving with great speed, and almost flawless. I like these types of matches because I can turn my brain off for a little bit, and just let the little guys go out there and put on a real show.

Team 3D & Booker T defeated Jay Lethal, Christian, Aj Styles

Here’s your standard six man tag. It was ok, but the Dudleys looked tired near the middle of this match. Bubba Ray is not as in shape as he was on his singles push in the WWE, and I know that’s not saying a whole lot, but I really can’t believe how much weight he’s gained while working in TNA. This match had a lot of fast tags, and a lot of times where the teams were brawling outside of the ring. I have to give great credit to Jay Lethal and Booker T for opening this match with an allstar set of counters and moves. Booker T is so fast and so is Lethal, these two in a big profile singles match could bring the house down, because their timing is dead on accurate. I haven’t seen that kind of timing in a long time, and for such a young wrestler in Jay Lethal. He doesn’t need the Macho Man gimmick, he can be a stand alone star if TNA lets him. Christian nearly wins the match with a roll up, but the referee was distracted. Aj Styles jumped off the top rope, Bubba Ray moved out of the way and nailed Christian, causing him to lose the match with Booker T rolling him up and giving another loss to Christian.

ODB & Rhaka Khan defeated The Beautiful People

Since ODB lost via distraction earlier on in the match, she really wanted to get a match for later on in the match, so we get this tag team match up. I haven’t seen Rhaka Khan in a long time, and she didn’t seem to have ring rust initially, but she’s not that good, she’s really not that good. I’m serious, she doesn’t look to be up to par with the rest of the knockouts. You know what? I”ve seen this match before too. What the heck? I had the feeling of déjà vu the whole time, as I do recall this exact match happening before, but I don’t remember when. The match was a little boring to me, and there wasn’t enough of a push for spots that I would’ve expected from the knockouts division. Rhaka Khan and ODB wins this matchup, but I swear, she’s not ready for the big time, she’s just not that good right now. She seems really “green” and just not ready for this prime time position. She really made this match suck.

Mick Foley arrives at TNA impact. I’m serious, and Foley tried to get a cheap pop and it failed. I have never seen Foley off, but he just wasn’t that charismatic, and he looked a little out of place in TNA’s six sided ring. I wasn’t buying anything Foley was saying. This was a really sappy gimmick, and Foley wasn’t doing anything good. Mid sentence, Kurt Angle came down to the ring, and interrupted Foley. Kurt Angle throws up a bunch of protests, and tries to insinuate a beat down from Foley, and these two on the mic are great.

We find out that Mick Foley will be the Enforcer for Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle at the PPV.

I'm tired. TNA made me really tired. It wasn't that great.

Tna Wrestling 9/25/2008 More With Double J

Double J started the show. It was not exactly the greatest thing ever, but it had to start, right? I wish it started with wrestling. I’m so sick of these in ring promos, and these random talks with Kurt Angle and stupid Jeff Jarrett. I wish I could just go back to sleep rather than staying up for this thing. But whatever, it happens, and even if Kurt thinks that things are getting complicated, it’s still better than being in the arena. (ZIIIING) I don’t care about this opening, it’s boring, and it just lacks the charisma that the 80’s stars had. These guys just seem to be trying to recite lines from a script, an old wcw script at that.

The big thing that comes out of this promo at the beginning of impact is that Jeff Jarrett will wrestle Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory. I guess Foley isn’t wrestling? But he probably will be a special guest referee.

Matt Morgan & Abyss defeated The Rock & Rave Infection

I do not like Matt Morgan at all. I don’t know why TNA is investing in such a vapid character, but I guess they need new guys. Abyss is great, if he wasn’t such a wuss now. Actually, I think he’s always been a wuss, if you go back through TNA history he always looks crazy until they get to the ppv where he loses or takes a TON of punishment. Abyss is like the Mankind of TNA. This match was for all intents and purposes a squash match. The Infection didn’t really do a whole lot, other than making Christy Hemme’s forehead show up on television and block my view of the action. The match was good for what it was, but it wasn’t anything that I’ll remember as fantastic. Morgan is athletic, but I’m not completely sold on the guy, and while Abyss does a great job of clearing the ring, it just seems stupid to give these guys the unstoppable gimmick of killing everyone. How long before they face each other? You know it’s going to happen right? The match ended with Matt Morgan dropping Rave and pinning him. Don West states, “Rave joins Matt Morgan’s Mile High Club” and makes me want to vomit.

Awesome Kong defeated Mercedes Steele

Mercedes Steele looks like a poor man’s Gail Kim. She’s a smaller woman, and she got rocked hard by Awesome Kong, and I was surprised that TNA would sign this woman. Mercedes was screaming a whole lot, and I was wondering what was going on, because this seemed a little weird. I got tired of hearing Steele moan and scream like a porn star, and I had to just pretend I didn’t hear her screaming and moaning. Awesome Kong basically killed Steele’s hopes of being a great TNA Knockout, and I guess all divisions need jobbers and TNA now has found women jobbers to feed to Awesome Kong. Oh well. Post match, what I knew from the moment I saw her, Raisha Saeed was really Roxi and Roxi attacks Kong dressed up as Saeed! It looked obvious and I wasn’t swerved at all. TNA telegraphed this one, so if you didn’t catch it, you didn’t miss much.
d
Karen's Angle is one of the worst segments ever. However, Karen was dressed so provocatively, that I almost had to take a break, cause her cleavage was insane, and she was showing off A LOT for this type of segment. She’s showing way too much to me, that’s for sure. Maybe I’m alone in thinking this, but Karen Angle is busting out of her dress.

Beer Money defeated LAX

LAX fought Beer Money in a PPV quality match up. I love these type of matches. LAX is a real tag team and not just a couple of guys that are thrown together. They work as a team and they are completely team oriented in their offense. Beer Money is also a good team, however, they didn’t look as strong as LAX in this match up and it looked like LAX was positioned to win the tag team titles again because they were doing everything in their power to win this one. Beer Money steal another match up with a distraction, and knocking Hernandez out with a beer helmet. Beer Money wins again, and now Hector Guerrero must leave LAX!!

Again we get a Sting lecture about respect, I went to eat breakfast in the kitchen.

Samoa Joe defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir

This match was back and forth. Well, it was within reason, Samoa Joe didn’t look completely bad, but this was good for a few moments. It was a glorified squash match, as Samoa Joe was NOT going to lose to Sheik. So, if you’ve seen a bad Samoa Joe match, then you’ve seen this one, cause well, it was over fast. Samoa Joe put the boots to Bashir and won easily. It was an above par match, and there was a few good moments, but overall, not the best match that you could see.

Booker T defeated Aj Styles

No surprise to me here, this match was going quite well until the interference of Booker’s wife which prompted Christian Cage to enter the ring and prevent it initially. The interference helped as Booker T defeated Aj Styles in this match and the saga of respect continues. What side is Christian on? That’s the question that people are talking about. The match itself, back and forth, good match up. The two work great together, and I was really looking forward to this one, but the interference, the ref bump and stupid booking made this match boring in the end and we get another convoluted TNA impact ending.

Tna Impact Results and Review 8/21/2008 AJ Medals

Kurt Angle Segment:

Kurt Angle shows up and says he knows who’s behind the guitars showing up, and that we are in planet Angle!

Hernandez defeated Robert Roode

Hernandez and Roode put on a good match. Hernandez does a lot of power moves, and Roode just gets beat down for the majority of this match. This match is not half bad considering these two are bigger guys. Lots of near falls to carry the match to a good high point, the fans were definitely behind LAX in this one. Jackie came in but Salinas went after her, but Hernandez didn’t miss a beat. Storm came out and ended up distracting Roode, Hernandez then dropped Roode for the win.

AJ Styles Segment:

Aj Styles challenges Kurt Angle in a Ladder Match for the Gold Medal! Aj isn’t all that good on the mic, but it’s not a train wreck, that’s for sure.

Eric Young & Bg James defeated The Motor City Machine Guns

The Motor City Machine Guns must be the jobber tag team of TNA, because I have yet to see them win a match! They never win! They are an established tag team and they lose to a couple of guys that were teaming up for the first time ever! This is bad booking, no matter how you slice it, it’s just a stupid thing to do. The match was relatively good, and better than I had previously anticipated. I didn’t know it was going to go down this way, and the match had a lot of back and forth action between the two teams. It wasn’t a technical classic, but it was worth checking out, the two teams did a great job getting in offense and there were a few near falls and definitely showed some great action, however it was all over with Eric Young picking up the pin.

Post match, The Machine Guns act like sore losers, and hopefully they turn heel enough to win a match.

Kurt Angle Booker T Segment:

Booker forces Angle and JB to take off their shoes, and to show him some respect. Booker talks in a weird accent. Angle asks for Booker to be on his side to watch out for the guitar shows up. Booker then asks for Angle’s help to protect him against Rhino later on in the night.

This segment was boring. Booker T is acting like King Booker, only it’s not working as well. I don’t know if like the whole Royal T angle, it just doesn’t seem the same as before. Maybe if there was a comedic element to it, or if someone could play off his lack of being British or anything. I don’t know. It just doesn’t fit for me.

Karen’s Angle Segment:

This is stupid. I hate this segment. So Cal Val has to decide between Jay and Sonjay, and Sonjay shows up. He asks Val to pick him, and Jay shows up to beat down Sonjay, and then there’s a lot of screaming. Jay accidentally knocks out Val, and we get screams! The announcers say that she suffered a concussion and facial bruising. I want my time back this is stupid.

Rough Cut Consequences Creed:

I don’t want to hear this, Creed is good, but he’s NOT a superstar just yet! I’m tired.

Matt Morgan defeated Jobber Capone

This is was stupid. Matt Morgan is jacking everyone’s moves! Seriously, he’s doing Undertaker’s moves, he’s doing Albert’s Bicycle kick, and he’s trying to act like Goldberg at the same time. This is stupid, Matt Morgan sucks, Matt Morgan’s finishing move looked really weak. This is just a stupid squash match and Morgan looks just is horrible.

Post match Bubba Ray comes out and takes major shots at Matt Morgan. Bubba Ray challenges Morgan, and Devon comes out and beats down Morgan. He’s not so tough when Team 3-D comes out is he? Abyss comes out for the save, and takes out Team 3-D. I’m sure this will set up a tag team match up where Abyss and Matt Morgan will somehow be the best tag team ever. Too bad I don’t give a crap.

A bunch of interviews happened, and I wasn’t paying attention. I was going for another Rolling Rock, and well, missed some people yelling. So I’m just not going to talk about every segment, I’m too tired, and TNA is throwing too much talking at me. So I just missed some random segments that had nothing to do with anything.

Booker T defeated Rhino

Booker T beat Rhino, which is no surprise at all. Booker really looks solid, and I’m honestly surprised that WWE would let such a talent go. He’s so good. I haven’t seen this Booker T since WCW and his Chris Benoit best of 7 series that was going on. He’s good, and he should get more of a shot at the main events in TNA, and he will. We’ll most likely see Booker T as champion facing Double J sooner than later.

Consequences Creed defeated Petey Williams via DQ

Consequences Creed is one of my favorite new guys, granted he’s not well established in TNA just yet, but he’s impressive for a rookie. This is his second shot at the x-division title and he puts up a great shot against Petey Williams. I don’t like the whole “Big Petey Pump” angle that Williams is doing, because Scott Steiner really hasn’t been relevant in nearly a decade. He just looks like Steiner, not necessarily the move sets. Creed looks like he’s on his way to winning this one, but Shiek Bashir comes out to interfere with the match up. Creed’s flip dive is amazing, you have to see this, full front flip over the top rope with no assistance and onto his feet with ease! Creed looks to be on his way to winning this match up, reversing most of Petey William’s move set. Sheik Bashir jumps in to save Wiliiams and he takes out Creed. He just goes nuts, but Creed gets his composure and rolls out of the ring.

Post Match Petey Williams and Sheik yell at each other.

Awesome Kong defeated Gail Kim in a Street Fight

Everyone was saying that this was Gail Kim’s last match in TNA. If this is her last match, then she really let it all out, because this street fight was awesome. I’m so glad that TNA is allowing the women’s division to get matches like this. I really somehow cared about this match up, as it wasn’t just some random tag match with no name divas like the WWE does on a weekly basis. This was awesome, and these two put themselves into some dangerous positions. The fight went into the crowd, and things were going back and forth. There was a lot of stiff shots in this match up, and Kim was really impressive, giving Kong some major shots to the face. Kong plays the monster role so well, and it’s not just her size, although that helps a lot.

Raisha Saeed got involved but was quickly thrown out of the ring, and Kim continued to beat down Kong until a few near falls occurred. Kim then got into trouble and was hit with a heavy handed Implant Buster and things went south, Kim lost this one after a massive Implant Buster on Kim, it was bad news.

Post match, Kong wanted to drop Kim onto a chair, and wasn’t able to succeed due to the ref’s getting knocked out. Kim’s sister jumped the rail and entered the ring, ODB and Roxxi came out for the save.

Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle in a Ladder Match

This match was an instant classic. Which is interested, Christian wasn’t on this show. But this match really wasn’t half bad. I’m surprised that Angle is competing so much, as I heard rumors that he had a hurt neck, he’s definitely doing something right. Booker T and Samoa Joe were both at ringside watching this one. The match saw Aj Styles dropping Angle on his neck a lot, lots of back breakers, and high spots. Angle on the other hand did a lot of rest holds and chockes.

One thing that I noticed about this match was, there are not a lot of bumps that involve falls or ladder spots. There are a few times where the ladder comes into play, however not in the same respect as a WWE ladder match. The ladder also looked a little different, and didn’t look like the standard Werner ladder or an a-frame ladder that is standard in construction. Which reminds me, when I was doing construction, I had to carry ladders on the time, and they aren’t that heavy and don’t hurt that much. The real heavy and hard hitting ladders are made of wood or stainless or aluminum steel. That’s just a sidenote, sorry, but this ladder didn’t seem all that heavy, and if you saw the match you’ll know what I mean.

Samoa Joe and Booker T start fighting outside! Booker T hits Samoa Joe with a baseball bat, knocking him out. Aj and Kurt Angle are on the ladder fighting when the lights go out, when the lights come back on, AJ is on the ladder with a guitar and he knocks out Kurt Angle with it, and Angle falls to his near death. (I’m joking) Of course, no one knows where the guitar is coming from, but they are all convinced that they know who it is. I know one thing, I’m bored with this stupid lights out thing.

Admittedly this edition of TNA impact wasn’t my favorite. However, if you look at the sheer number of matches, you’ll notice that there is a lot of wrestling in theory. There is a lot more wrestling than you would see in WWE, however these matches aren’t extremely long. There are a few matches that stand out this time around though, including the TNA knockouts street fight and the ladder match. These two were definitely above par in comparison to the other nights in wrestling so far.

I do not enjoy the TNA backstage and interview segments as I feel that there is a lot of wasted time spent in nonsense backstage segments and random interviews. I am so bored and uninterested in some of these, that I grew tired of watching the whole show. I even stopped taking notes about them mid way through this review.

Tna is doing good, but I think they could do more in the wrestling department, and less backstage antics and talking.
