ODB defeated Daffney via dq
Kazarian defeated Brian Kendrick
Big Rob defeated Mr. Anderson
Abyss defeated Desmond Wolfe
TNA Impact 2/26/10 Review
The opening of Impact was all about Abyss. Aj Styles opened the show and cut a boring promo. Ric Flair cut a lame promo against Hogan and Abyss. Abyss came down and got verbally yelled at by Flair, and looked stupid, wearing the hall of fame ring. Aj just stood there looking like a chump. I didn’t like this segment and I hoped for a better TNA impact, this wasn’t good…it got tiring. Abyss started to talk randomly, and then started to get serious.
Hogan came down to the ring before anything major broke out, and Hogan just started to cut a promo against Flair and Aj Styles. This, I suppose is setting up the Monday night Impact tag team match up for a couple of weeks.
Team 3D defeated The Nasty Boys in a tables Match
I don’t hate the nasty Boys. I don’t hate Team 3D. I have seen many better matches from the two of these, and this wasn’t one of the better ones. It wasn’t as bad as many people think, and the match at least had the tables element to break up the street fight action. This match broke down with Jesse Neal coming to help Team 3D and the Nasty Boys losing by getting tossed through a table. This match wasn’t that great, but I’ve seen worse from TNA in the past.
ODB defeated Daffney via dq
I like Daffney. I think she’s hot. But she can’t put together a good wrestling match as this one broke down with ODB getting beaten up with a broom etc. Daffney goes nuts again. It sucked.
Beer Money cut a promo, then Hernandez came out and said they’d give them a title shot. I didn’t care.
Bischoff talked to Double J, who stormed into the office. The two will talk about stuff in the ring later in the show.
So far this show was a waste of time.
Kazarian defeated Brian Kendrick
This match was just a burial of Brian Kendrick. A short match, that didn’t feature a whole lot of action, and it looks like Kazarian is on the fast track to winning to x-division title.
Big Rob defeated Mr. Anderson
Big Rob pinned a lifeless Mr. Anderson. Anderson was hit with a chair before the match begun by Kurt Angle.
Abyss defeated Desmond Wolfe
Abyss beat Desmond in a fast match. There wasn’t much to it.
Post match Abyss was getting beat up by Flair and Styles, and Abyss was handcuffed to the ring ropes. Hogan came down for the safe but was busted open by Flair and Aj. The Ring gave Abyss powers and he eventually busted open the cuffs and saved Hulk.
This is THE WORST TNA IMPACT ENDING EVER! TNA SUCKS!

Tna Impact 1/4/10 Results and Review Hogan Shows Up and More
TNA Impact was a huge talked about show. Hogan and his idiots showed up and a lot of things were to be shaken up. There was a lot of talk about this show, and how it ran up against raw, like Nitro used to. Did it deliver?
Maybe.

Tna Impact 1/4/10 Review
“Time for a change” is the title card we get, like this was an old television show, and that right off the bat sucks, I hate that. The main song “rap core” style is still there, and we go straight to the event! The ring wasn’t shown right away, but everyone was talking about whether or not the ring would change shape, and well?
Bubba The Love Sponge got a job, he’s the new broadcast helper, and the show immediately turned straight to pre-taped segments from earlier of fans dogging WWE. Bubba The Love Sponge talking to all sorts of idiots, and it’s seriously terrible. These fans aren’t smarks that’s for sure, but who cares right? I don’t.
The ring is NOT four sides, it’s still six sides.
Motor City Machine Guns, Homicide, Kiyoshi, Black Machismo, Consequences Creed, Suicide, and Amazing Red fought in a steel asylum match, to a no contest
The rules of a Steel Asylum match really aren’t crazy. You can only win by leaving the six sided, red colored cage. There’s an opening at the top, and well, it isn’t one of Tna’s strong suit.
The action in this match was hard to follow, as Tazz said. The camera angles kept changing on me, and it was hard to see who was hitting who and what spot was getting hit next, but I did notice something major. For this match to go on, and for the wrestlers to get in some action, 6 of the competitors had to just lay down and do nothing or simply wait in the corner and watch. That allowed for two wrestlers to fight in the center, which makes for a somewhat boring match. It’s supposed to be a free for all, yet it has no major likeness to a traditional free for all, if that makes sense. It’s almost like the Royal Rumble, when it gets towards the end, where people take their time and get out of the way to let the center take stage.
That’s not to say there weren’t some cool spots, especially off the cage, but this thing wasn’t always action packed. Homicide had a police baton and struck his own partner and others. The bell started to ring, and this is why TNA sucks.
Inside of a STEEL CAGE, Homicide got disqualified. That’s right, disqualified inside a six sided cage with a top on it! The fans were chanting “This is Bull Shit” and it’s true, TNA shoots itself in the foot on their “epic” show, and the fans were letting him know, and it was getting bleeped out.
Post match Homicide had a hard time getting out of the cage, and to cover the rest of the guys in the match started to climb the ring and he had to get back down. As they all started to fight Homicide, someone’s music hit and guess who came out? JEFF HARDY! Jeff Hardy came through the crowd, over the rails, and was immediately attacked by Homicide. I KID YOU NOT! Homicide and Jeff Hardy, and Jeff hits Homicide with an unprotected CHAIR SHOT! JEFF HARDY comes back to TNA and this definitely is a shocker because rumors had it that Jeff and Punk were headed for a match at Wrestlemania, but apparently Hardy is back on TNA! How weird is that? Anyways, Jeff Hardy is in TNA, Homicide got knocked the hell out, and TNA tries to swerve the internet, but to no avail.
Shannon Moore was also shown on television backstage greeting Hardy after his major debut in TNA. So apparently they are both in TNA now? Whatever. Hogan was not at the show from the beginning, the camera’s cut to a limo and claimed that it was Hulk Hogan coming to the impact zone, and he had two police motorcycle cruisers.
Christy Hemme interviewed Kevin Nash backstage and it her forehead was gleaming like usual along side her face, and skin tight body suit. Wow, how can Big Sexy resist? He wasn’t in “Nash mode” he was just randomly rambling about how great Hulk Hogan was and how great it is to have him in the show. He then talked about how Hogan is going to be making him a lot more money, so he was excited…though not showing much emotion.
ODB defeated TARA in a TNA Knockout’s Championship match
This match started out like it would be an instant classic, with Tara using her martial arts background to get some hits in on ODB and I was interested to see how far this match would go in regards to women’s wrestling. However, it wasn’t that good as within a few minutes this match was over with ODB rolling up Tara and holding the tights to get a win. I can not stress the fact enough, this match was really short. The knockouts are turning into the divas before our eyes. TNA is really making a mistake with this division, if they continue to allow short lived matches like this to progress, especially since they have more talent than the divas…or had more talent.
Post match, ODB got hit with the Widow’s Peak and Tara put her Tarantula on ODB and then we cut to the backstage area.
Backstage out of a limousine, came none other than NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR! No, not a cut out, but seriously, RIC FLAIR on camera!
The show comes back to footage of earlier, and it’s Mick Foley getting barred from the Impact zone. Hemme was out there in a skin tight suit…in broad day light. He was not allowed interest into the Impact Zone, and that was it.
Bobby Lashley came out with his wife, and it was weird. His wife cut a huge heel promo, and started to pull the “Vickie Guerrero” card. The crowd immediately turned, and was booing the crap out of Lashley and his wife. She said that he wants his release from TNA and that this was the last time we will see Lashley in TNA.
Backstage, The Beautiful People were in some closet somewhere playing poker. They then started to attempt at the most unsexy strip poker bit, and it was boring…then we finally get thrown a bone, no pun intended, we cut to commercial. Wow, the Beautiful people sucked (once again no pun intended) the life out of me and what little interest I had in the show up to this point.
Backstage, Waltman and Scott Hall were trying to get in. Security wasn’t letting them in so they started fighting the security guards and it was broken up. Looks like the Outsiders can’t come in easily.
After another series of commercial breaks, out came Waltman and Scott Hall. Then we get another set of commercials! I definitely was annoyed at the amount of commercials they cut into this lame show.
Then we get back to TNA Impact and it’s Hall and Waltman again in the crowd, then we get another set of commercials! It was definitely the most annoying thing in a long time.
After the set of commercials, and one hour into the show only 2 matches in, out came Hulk Hogan! This is what they wanted, and the crowd? It wasn’t anti-hogan but it wasn’t roaring, that’s for sure. It still was a good pop, but nothing like I’ve heard in my youth while cheering him on from the rafters. The Hogan change shirt looked cool though.
Hogan got on the mic and started to talk about how TNA is going to be #1. Mid way through his speech out came Hall and Waltman and security tried to stop them. But Hogan let them through, and they did the N.W.O signal and got mics. “HEY YO” got a nice pop, and I marked out huge…for a second. Hall seems to be ok with keeping his accent like Razor Ramon. Hall and Waltman wanted to party and get big paychecks, and this whole segment just seemed so forced. I didn’t really like it, but eh, what are you gonna do? Remember the last time “The Kings of Wrestling” came out? It was terrible. This time was headed down that road, and I wasn’t sure if they were going to recover, then some random music hit, and guess who it was?
Kevin Nash came down to ringside, and he was not looking too excited. This show was starting to resemble the South Park parody episode of wrestling, and seriously, I was having a hard time getting into it. I kept thinking about how WCW died with these four in control, and WWE threw them out. Hogan kept trying to saying, “we need to change things for the better” and stuff like, “we can’t be like we were once, we need to grow up”, which got some crowd response, but eh, so what. Some more random music hit…oh man…
Out came Eric Bischoff, and the crowd went nuts. I’m so tired of this show already! Bischoff was in the ring with a mic on Hogan’s side and they started talking about how old times changed wrestling forever and what not. Nash, Waltman, and Hall left the ring after Bischoff said that everyone had to earn their place in TNA and that was that, I guess. The live crowd ate it up, but not me. They kept saying that it was time for a Change but nothing was changing, and then we revisit the old storyline with Sting in the rafters and the announcers going nuts about how he’s been missing for months. I didn’t like the angle in WCW that much, except for when Sting would show up and mop up, leading up to Starrcade 97’ and the no-end finish with Hogan and Piper and everyone involved. Wait, that might have been, no it was 1997 Starrcade.
Awesome Kong & Hamada defeated Taylor Wilde & Sarita in a tna knockouts tag team championship match
This match started slow, but picked up into a good opening with Sarita and Wilde trying to do serious double team maneuvers, but Kong was too much for the two of them, at least initially. Backstage the Motor City Machine Guns were knocked out, and the announcers went wild for that, taking us out of the match for a moment. The match continued and there was a double Suicide Dive by Sarita and a huge cross body block by Taylor Wilde onto their opponents outside, and I was definitely impressed as usual by the knockouts. However, we go to yet another commercial break, right when the action was getting really good. After the break, Awesome Kong was in full control, and it was obvious that the tag champs were going to have a hard time with Kong, but Sarita hit a nice springboard second rope dropkick and Kong showed signs that she was indeed human in a nice bump, I couldn’t believe how fluid Kong was in this match up, and that bump proved it greatly for me. Hamada knocked out Taylor Wilde on the outside, and Kong lifted up Sarita into the Awesome Bomb position, as Hamada hit her with a huge Missile Dropkick! What’s this? A TAG TEAM FINISHER? YES YES YES! I marked out huge for this match, as it really made me a fan of wrestling again. These women get match of the night up to this point, wow…finally some legit wrestling on the show!
We cut backstage to Val Venis! That’s right, Val Venis joins the Beautiful People in a game of strip poker. So Val Venis is in TNA now? Wow.
Guess who else showed up? It’s Mick Foley and none other than The Nasty Boys! Yes, THE NASTY BOYS, BOTH OF THEM! Sags and Knobs, the Nasty Boys were both backstage and trying to get in. They didn’t get in, and were thrown out.
Now for the rewind to 1995 here was Raven & Doctor Stevie. They would face Matt Morgan and Hernandez, and the only thing I personally liked was Daffney, she’s my type….the kind that I have no chance with…ziiiing!
Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated Doctor Stevie & Raven
This match was a non issue, it was possibly one of the shortest matches I’ve seen in a long time. The match had Richards getting a Carbon Blueprint and pinned. That’s it. Seriously, that’s it. What a stupid waste of time.
Backstage The Pope was with Hemme and a random interview. I don’t hate it, but I don’t necessarily like it, especially after the terrible match that just happened. Orlando Jordan showed up, I think…maybe? I’m not 100% sure if it was him or not, but it was interesting. Elijah Burke has some competition now, in an interesting segment that went from the bottom to the top, I started to get interested, then we cut to the ring, and it fell apart again.
D’Angelo Dinero defeated Desmond Wolfe
It started raining money, well, fake stuff like the old JBL bucks. I wish I had some of those, that’s for sure. (The Jbl Bucks) This match started with what are usually called rest holds. Dinero was in rough shape against Wolfe early on, but Dinero got some interesting offense in before this match got too one sided. Wolfe went for the Tower of London but got reversed into an escape and Dinero then confused Wolfe into a small package, and this match was over. This wasn’t a great match, but Dinero had some quick counters, which made it a little more interesting than I’ve would’ve thought possible from these two. I’m still not convinced that Desmond Wolfe is worth his position in TNA as I’ve yet to see him do anything major in ring. Sure he can attack backstage and what not, but in ring? I’m not convinced.
Rhino backstage was laid out too.
Jeff Jarrett was backstage too.
Aj Styles was doing an interview, and Eric Bischoff interrupted and made Aj Styles vs Kurt Angle for the main event, for the world title, which was supposed to be the Genesis main event, but we’ll see what happens.
Jeff Jarrett came down to ringside, mic in hand, and you know we were going to hear from him…again. He basically was bragging about how TNA has come a long way and that they are going to the number one spot. They keep telling me that there was going to be change, but I have yet to see it. This show is boring me now, I’m tired of hearing about change and seeing nothing, just like Obama.
Hulk Hogan interrupted Jarrett. The crowd was chanting Bullshit for the second time tonight, and it’s interesting. Hogan started to talk about how the young guys were going to get the push now, and that Jarrett sucks. Hogan’s act is already tired, I’m tired, I couldn’t wait to see what Raw had for tonight because this sucks now. I’m sick of hearing Hogan’s voice and his random “change” speeches that keep popping up throughout this show.
Daniels was having an interview and JB rushed in and got in the way, the interview ended and Mick Foley busted in and JB let him…kind of.
Shannon Moore and Jeff Hardy were backstage painting a picture…I kid you not, and they had a “meeting” with the big man, whatever that means.
Samoa Joe defeated Abyss
Joe started this match street-fight style, with a lot of punches and kicks, and this match slowly escalated into a more wrestling-oriented match up. Abyss couldn’t get his bearings up front, and Joe was relentless in his high impact offense. Eventually Abyss started to get more offense in, with a strongside slam, big splashes into the corner and charges, dropping Joe several times. Abyss hit a nice chokeslam, catching Joe off the top rope, and things weren’t looking good for the submission master Joe. Abyss took a sick head shot with a chair, and afterwards got hit with Joe’s finisher, he kept reaching for the ropes and it looked like he was going to make it, but he tapped out. Overall this match was definitely a physical one, but it didn’t top that women’s tag title’s match up, which was way more solid by comparison.
Bischoff backstage had to deal with Lashley’s wife. It was a stupid segment.
Bubba the Love Sponge was backstage and Beer Money was laid out cold.
The Nasty Boys finally got into the arena, with help from Bubba.
Backstage Jeff Hardy kissed some tweens and gave them a painting. Then himself and Shannon Moore left in a Lamborghini, each had envelopes…and that was that.
The Nasty Boys tore up the Dudley’s dressing room, and spray painted the walls with “Nasty”. This was definitely interesting, but aren’t the Nasty Boys really old? I thought so.
Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle in a TNA World Heavyweight Title Match
This match started fast and it seemed somewhat old to me. I felt like I’ve already seen this match many times. A masked man came in and knocked out AJ and the Ref, Kurt started to fight him and he fell outside the ring. I heard the Masked man is Tyson Tomko. The match restarted and the two started to fight each other. FYI the masked man angle has been done many times before. Remember Sting and the Black Scorpion? Remember DDP in WWE? Yeah, it’s a tired gimmick.
I gotta give TNA credit this match wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t short, and it had a lot of wrestling for a free television match up for the title. Angle looked hurt towards the end of this match up, Styles was having a hard time putting the Olympic Gold Medalist away. Styles hit the Styles Clash, and after a near fall Angle was set up for another one but Angle reversed it into an Ankle Lock. It was a no go, and Ric Flair came out to the ramp to watch this match first hand. Styles hit the sweetest 450 splash I’ve seen in a LONG time! The match continued with some great counters by both men, and a lot of near falls. I’m not into the big near falls, as I think it kind of ruins finishers for people, but whatever. Styles hit a nice springboard splash and Angle was done, Styles retains the title in what would’ve been match of the night for me, if the Knockouts didn’t floor me with their tag title match earlier on.
After the match Hogan came out to talk on the mic but was interrupted, and backstage was Mick Foley looking for Hogan. Hogan ran away from the ramp to head backstage. Foley ran into Bischoff and was basically fired, well, almost. The outsiders beat up Mick Foley backstage. Hogan was left standing there looking like an idiot.
TNA’s January 4 impact wasn’t that great. It had two major matches that I liked, a lot of and I do mean a lot of filler. Lots of talk of change, with no major change. I liked the show, but it wasn’t worth all that hype I had to sift through the last couple of weeks. We’ll see if TNA does in fact change things up ahead, if not, then oh well.
Maybe.

TNA Impact 12/17/09 Review
The show opened up with Mick Foley attacking Kevin Nash in an empty arena. That was it, he literally just fought him and it was broken up by security.
Roxxi defeated ODB
This match sucked. Roxxi put on a good bit of offense but I HATE ODB right now. She just isn’t that good. Roxxi gets the win with a roll up, and it’s just not fun to watch for me.
Post match, Tara came down after ODB was beating up Roxxi. Tara is looking old. I’m tired of the knockouts, they are turning into the divas division before my very eyes, and it’s not something I ever wanted to admit.
Just a quick FYI at this point of my review we’re about 40 minutes into the show. TNA has only had 1 match, it was terrible, and I’m seriously getting bored with the product, and you should be too.
Bubba Ray Dudley defeated Matt Morgan in a lumberjack match
Matt Morgan went for the big boot and embarrassed himself. He missed, obviously, but between Bubba moving and Morgan actually doing the move, there seemed like an eternity. That being said, Morgan and Dudley were half-speed for a good portion of the match. The Lumberjack’s got involved, and it was really only the team members that will meet this weekened at the ppv. Seriously, this match was terrible…man…the night was getting tough to review. The Dudley’s cheated their win to a victory, in one of the most obvious endings and slow paced pieces of crap I’ve seen in a while. Morgan isn’t ready yet, sorry.
Another note, we’re about 1 hour into the show, and we’re getting match #3, and that’s only after 4 or 5 commercials! I’m so tired of this show.
Hamada & Awesome Kong defeated The Beautiful People andTaylor Wilde & Sarita
If there’s a stand out in the knockout’s division, it’s Hamada and Awesome Kong. Those two can actually not only wrestle, they can put on a good overall show. This match was interesting, it had some good spots, it was fast, and it was Kong who got the win in a great ending for me. She basically squashed, I mean she sat on someone, a member of the beautiful people to win this match up.
Tatanka defeated Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal
Tatanka is back! Well, he’s back enough to wrestle Jay Lethal, which wasn’t half bad. Tatanka has made several appearances in the WWE before and each time he wanted back in full time and WWE has passed. Well he gets a shot at Lethal, and he’s not in terrible shape. Tatanka won this match with somewhat ease, Lethal is getting squashed and you know what? If this were WWE he’d be on his way out. I’m not sure where TNA has him, but it’s getting strange to see him off television for a while then get beaten yet again.
Desmond Wolfe vs Christopher Daniels 10 minute draw
Christopher Daniels was definitely proving to be troublesome for Wolfe. I’m not sure why Wolfe is supposed to be so menacing and hard to beat? He was getting worked for 75% of this match up against Christopher Daniels. The two wrestled to a ten minute time limit, and they both had each other in roll up cradles, which was interesting to see, but the timer really made for a terrible finish.
Kurt Angle and Aj Styles defeated The British Invasion
This match really lost me. I know Lashley and Steiner were involved, but they were non factors as they fought to the backstage area. Abyss also was in a scuffle with Raven and Stevie. TNA has moved their cluster endings to the backstage area...I hate this. With time running out, Styles gets tagged in, he rolls someone up, and it's over. That's it...TNA is over!

Tna Impact 10/15/09 Review
I’m not sure what happened in the past few weeks with TNA, but this edition of TNA Impact was supposed to be a Super Impact Show! The show was titled “Angle’s Revenge” and really frustrated me from the get go, because I think the how shouldn’t have titles and crap like that, but that’s life. So here we go, TNA Super Impact, 3 hours of wrestling…wow….I’m going to need a nap after this review.
The show opened up with Kurt Angle and the main event mafia in the ring. Angle was in wrestling gear and said he wanted to do things different tonight, and he wanted to make sure he was ready for Aj Styles tonight. Angle started rambling to the rest of the members of his mafia, and it was random, and well…boring. Aj Styles came out with Matt Morgan and the rest of the good guys that will face the mafia at bound for glory. They then ran down and started fighting the Main Event Mafia, and things were going nuts. Once again, this was just like the old Nitro days with the New World Order, making me wish I didn’t review TNA…but I can’t help it I guess. Security ran down and got things back to normal, somewhat, but this was just stupid to me, I haven’t seen TNA in a while, but I know that the last time I did, this sort of crap was all over the show.
The Beautiful People defeated Tara, Awesome Kong, and ODB
Awesome Kong and Tara were fighting outside of the ring, meanwhile ODB was fighting The Beautiful People alone. Awesome Kong then started to walk away up the ramp, leaving her two partners to fend for themselves, and it was somewhat brutal. Well, as brutal as the current state of the knockouts division could be. The Beautiful People are a half step slower than ODB and Tara and this was painfully obvious. This made me not like the match too much, even though it was watchable. It’s still better than the divas match up. Even Tara’s superkick was terrible, but whatever. Tara had a disagreement with ODB, superkicked her, and the Beautiful People got the pinfall.
The Pope gimmick sucks. Seriously, the worst gimmick I’ve seen TNA come up with in a long time. Whatever…this sucks.
Amazing Red vs Suicide No Contest
The Amazing Red, always impressive, is now the X Division champion and was facing the stupid wrestler Suicide. Both wrestlers were going for the exact same moves, and it was a stalemate in the early goings of this match up. Red hit a sweet corkscrew plancha to the floor by Red, and it was just impressive to see Red’s timing. Suicide had a strength advantage, carrying Red and catching Red at times, but it was mostly Amazing Red and his flurry of high spots. Suicide’s rolling slam to guillotine leg drop from the apron was impressive, and it was nice to see the x division getting a good thing going. Suicide was attacked by The Pope and the match was thrown out. Oh well…
Erik Young joined the broadcast team for a little color commentary.
Hernandez defeated The British Invasion in a gauntlet match
Hernandez had to wrestle the whole British Invasion in a gauntlet style match up. Initially he started off with Doug Williams and was doing quite well initially. However, it was Williams that proved impressive, turning around the power moves of Hernandez into a more stable match up. Hernandez turned this thing around and won this one clean.
Brutus Magnus ran down as the second opponent for Hernandez, and was taking advantage of the winded Mexican, getting some pinfall attempts in within a few moments of his match starting. Hernandez put away Magnus with the Border Toss and it was quite well.
The third man of the British Invasion came in, and man, he’s got to be on the roids. Big Rob is massive, and he took it to Hernandez from the get go. He was hitting hard and was wearing out his opponent, with what seemed like ease. While Big Rob was gloating a little, Hernandez hit with a huge powerbomb out of the corner and won this match with ease.
Post match, Erik Young ran down with a Kendo stick and started to mop him up. The British Invasion than hit their finisher, and left the big man laying in the middle of the ring writhing in pain.
Backstage there was a four way interview and that led to the cameras cutting to Lashley and Joe and other fighting backstage. We then got a commercial, then an interview with Kurt Angle, then another commercial, then an interview with Aj Styles. All in all a lot of time wasting by TNA, which bored me and I’m sure bored you too.
Daniels defeated The Pope
Christopher Daniels hasn’t been the same since he gave up his Fallen Angel gimmick. I don’t think he’s that effective as a wrestler any longer. The Pope is interesting, he’s fast and he’s got some skills. He’s another WWE reject, and by the looks of his timing in ring, you wouldn’t know that. In fact, he is like a lighter R Truth in this match as he was taking it to Daniels early on in the match up. Daniels couldn’t really get his offense going, and was actually having problems with The Pope’s constant follow up. Daniels looked like he was done, and it was interesting to see how daniels would fix this, and eventually he made it work, after hitting The Angel’s Wings, Daniels won this match up.
Post match, out came Suicide, so we thought, but it was none other than Homicide dressed up as Suicide, to complicate things further. The match was standard, with the only cool parts being Daniels hitting his finisher, that’s always impressive, at least to me.
Mick Foley came down to ringside to talk about random crap. He sat down on a lazy boy of sorts, had some popcorn and was talking about Abyss. Abyss came out and attacked Foley. Foley then turned on the screen to show Steven Richards look creepy behind a blonde haired woman…most likely Abyss’s girlfriend or something. This segment was just another time waster.
Abyss ran down backstage. We got back to commercial break.
Hamada defeated Alicia Flash in a falls count anywhere match
Alicia Flash and Hamada are two women’s wrestlers that impressed me previously. I think that these two women could really get some good action going, and it’s interesting to see that TNA wanted to make this a falls count anywhere match, which seems odd to me. This was like the old ECW days for sure, this match was interesting, with both women hitting some high risk moves, high spots, and making the most out of the opportunity to have this falls count anywhere match up. It really was impressive to see two women put a match on like this, considering no one really does this type of wrestling anymore. It wasn’t just a plunder filled match up, it was a well balanced wrestling match with the stipulation allowing for a little extra. Hamada hit a nice a jumping ddt on the apron, and went to the skies for the finisher! She hit a picture perfect moonsault off the top rope through a table and Alicia Flash, winning this match, wow, this match was rad. I loved it.
Lashley defeated Rhino in a stretcher match
Lashley is being called, “The Boss”, and he seemed somewhat hurt with his ribs wrapped up. Rhino was attacking Lashley mercilessly throughout the ongoing of this match up. This was also given the stipulation of being a stretcher match, and Rhino was taking advantage of the fact. He was ruthless and showing off greatness against the former WWE star. The match turned around and Lashley seemed to have forgotten about his ribs and was hitting Rhino with some hard shots. Lashley was the only one really moving the stretcher, taking control of Rhino for a good portion of the match up and eventually moving to the back of the arena. Lashley hit a huge slam on Rhino onto a Guard Rail, and I thought this was over, and it most certainly was, Lashley threw Rhino stretcher and all into an Ambulance and this match was done. This was a terrible match up…terrible.
Backstage Mick Foley had fun beating up Abyss with the help of Stevie Richards and Daffney. It was somewhat boring, but oh well, what are you going to do? We then get yet another commercial break, and it was kind of tiring to note. TNA also teased the main event…Styles and Angle, after the break. This show is way too long, and I wanted to give up on the review, but I’ve come so far….
On a sidenote, Shane McMahon just resigned from the WWE…just a quick FYI.
Kurt Angle vs Aj Styles Time Limit Draw
This match was touted as the main event, and it was started at the end of the second hour. I figured this match was going to go at least an hour, but that didn’t make a lot of sense considering that these two have a match his weekend…then I remembered; TNA Impact is taped two weeks prior to air time, so this match happened a while ago. Anyways, this match started out quite good, Angle kept trying to keep the match on the mat while Styles kept getting away from Angle and hitting some sick moves. A nice dropkick from Styles made Angle second guess his strategy, and the two went back to work with counters and simple moves to try and isolate each other. Styles seemed to get the edge early on, forcing Angle to go outside of the ring and rest, rethinking his next move before things get out of hand for him. Angle finally got the upper hand by sidestepping one of Aj Style’s over the top rope moves, and the pain was on. Angle isolated Styles with a lot of rest holds and submission attempts, and Aj styles looked out. However, Styles was able to turn things around for a moment or two, but it wasn’t enough to put away Angle. Angle kept on the pressure, turning from rest holds to high impact moves like the release German Suplex and reversing the Styles Clash as well. There were several near falls and I thought this thing was going to favor Angle, but Styles kept kicking out at around two and a half. Angle started to appear frustrated, especially after a top rope belly to belly suplex didn’t put away Styles. Styles managed to even hit the Styles Clash, but it didn’t put away Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle barely kicked out of the Styles Clash. Angle was able to hit his patented Angle Slam and Styles kicked out. This match was headed into a stale mate fast. Angle went for the top rope moonsault, but Styles moved out of the way, and was out cold. Styles hit an impressive 450 splash off a springboard, and wasn’t able to get the win, as Angle managed to muster up enough strength for a kick out. Angle put on the Ankle Lock and the bell started to ring! Angle thought he won, but nope. The time ran out That’s right, there was a time limit, and the time ran out! The referee ruled this a time limit draw! What a load of crap. I can’t believe I sat through this for nothing. This isn’t the 1980’s there shouldn’t be a time limit draw!
The rest of TNA was just build up for the ppv that’s coming up. Nothing major, no more matches and I was finally ready to call it a day, that’s for sure.

Tna Lockdown 2009 Review
That’s right folks, we get another TNA ppv, and I don’t know how I do it, but I get to review it because Comcast lets me every now and again. So here we go, the tna review, or however it is you want me to call this thing.
Eric Young defeated Danny Bonaduce
Eric Young is so much bigger than Danny. That’s the first thing that I saw in this match up. Eric Young was laying into Danny and it looked great, but Danny got a few shots in, nothing too insane, but he was trying more than the average jobber. Eric Young defeated Danny after a few minutes, and this was a throwaway match up.
Post match Danny attacked young from behind, but Rhino ran down to ringside and speared the crap out of Danny, and this segment finally ended.
What a terrible thing to give away in the pre-show, but it was free…well…free for those that ordered it.
Suicide defeated Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal, Kiyoshi, Consequences Creed, and Sheik Abdul Bashir
I was under the assumption that there were teams in this match up, it all confused me; Specifically because this match up was just left and right action. Everyone was just free for all, with the exception of Lethal and Creed, who were teaming together to make things a little different.
Kiyoshi was eliminated first.
Creed and Machismo together were doing good as a team. I liked how they were cleaning house and trying to make this match more than just high spots. It wasn’t meant to be though, Sheik hit the DDT of Mass Destruction and eliminates Creed.
Consequences Creed was eliminated next.
Suicide’s running lariat eighteen minutes into the match up was nice. He turned Lethal inside out!
Black Machismo got eliminated somewhere, when I went to a bathroom break and my wife was reading her twitter instead of watching the wrestling. Lame.
I came back to see Suicide and Bashir getting into the match up hook line and sinker. At this point I wanted Suicide to lose cause he’s lame. I don’t really like Bashir, but at this point, he’s better than Suicide. Kiyoshi ran down to ringside and tried to stop Suicide from getting out of the cage. He jumped off of the top onto a pile of people to win this match up. This was a terrible match, in 23 minutes, the x-division was suppose to be good.
ODB defeated Madison Rayne, Sojourner Bolt, and Daffney
I’m assuming this too was an elimination match. These things confuse me, I want to say that TNA is NOT all gimmicky crap, but this is just another nail in their coffin. I hate this crap.
ODB won this match. I guess it wasn’t an elimination match up. It was a queen of the cage! This was an ok match, but it was just boring to me. There were a few high spots, but not really something that was going to gain more fans. They really wasted their time with this match up.
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated LAX, and No Limit in a WGP Jr. Tag Championship match up
When WCW had those great N64 games I would make matches like this. Seriously, I made these types of matches. That’s also how slow this match was. The middle of the ring was opened up for the most part. The edges were filled with people hitting right hands, elbows, and the middle had Hernandez hitting power moves. Seriously, I hate this crappy wrestling. TNA STOP MAKING Six Sided Cage matches with 20 people inside! Ok, not 20, but if you saw this match, you know what I’m talking about. There just wasn’t enough room in this match to make something good. There were too much competitors in a small ring, and it just came across as stupid to me. Maybe the Chocolate Stout was talking at this point, but I really didn’t think this match was all that good at all. This match was one fall and The Motor City Machine Guns won. I didn’t like it.
Matt “The Blueprint” Morgan defeated Abyss
This match stared with Abyss driving himself into Matt Morgan, shoving his weight around, trying to throw Morgan through the cage as he was just opening up like a house on fire against Matt Morgan. Matt Morgan knocked out Abyss with a kick to the face with a chair, and busted him wide open, creating the first major casualty on the ppv as far as blood is concerned. Morgan then started to lay into the forehead of Abyss. Matt Morgan introduced something I haven’t seen in a very long time. He brought out a bag full of shards of glass! Yea, that was a little weird, and I guess it was part of the match. It couldn’t have been real glass because Morgan was grasping the pieces with his bare hands, and you know that’s not possible without cutting your hand. The Ref got taken out with a Matt Morgan cross body block and business really started to pick up here. Stevie Richards came down to ringside to stop Abyss from using a chair on Matt Morgan! That’s right, Stevie Richards ran down to ringside to stop Abyss! I guess the big revelation was that Doctor Stevie is none other than Stevie Richards. Richards got into the ring to stop Abyss, verbally assaulting him, then slapping him, trying to stop him from using tacks. Morgan than hit a huge slam on Abyss onto thumbtacks and glass; he won after pinning Abyss.
I admit, the match started of great, but it really slowed down to nothing more than a parody of a Mick Foley, mid 90’s match. Abyss has a lot of talent, and he’s just taking pointless risks at this point. Matt Morgan shouldn’t be involved in this feud, but oh well. Stevie Richards return? That was kind of cool, I have to admit that.
Angelina Love defeated Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde in a triple threat Knockout championship match
A triple threat match isn’t exactly what I wanted at this point. Honestly, an hour into this thing and I personally no longer cared about this ppv, it just seemed overkill as it always does to have every match in a steel cage. It never worked for WWE and it doesn’t work for TNA right now. At least not for me, I didn’t really like it. This match had some great spots from Awesome Kong. Kong missed a top rope dive, she also had to fight of Taylr Wilde. The ending of this match up came with Angelina Love playing possum. She had her tag team partner outside tie up Kong’s hair to the cage and so she was stuck. Taylor Wilde then was surprised by Love playing possum, a roll up happened and we got the pinfall win and NEW Knockout champion Angelina Love! Not a great match, not a memorable title change, but it happens.
Team 3-D defeated Beer Money in a IWGP Tag Team Titles & TNA Tag Team Titles Match
With so much hype over those New Japan belts in this match, I had it in mind to root for Team 3-D because they are in need of another championship. This match started with Team 3-D cleaning house, literary, throwing Beer Money out of the ring, then following them out to trash them. The fight went into the audience, then we got the good ol’ fashioned split screen. Things came towards the ring, and a table was set up! Beer Money double suplexed Devon through a table at ringside, then threw Bubba Ray Dudley into the cage, his face completely busted open. The third rope Bubba Bomb onto Robert Roode was definitely a highlight for me that was incredible. Towards the end of this match up, Team 3-D really got into a groove and looked great. They seemed to be having fun for a change, and things were going quite well for them. Devon was getting a table, Bubba was setting up, Beer Money was down and reeling from the onslaught of offense. But then Beer Money got a leg up, and started to use their skills to strike like the champs that they are. Throwing Team 3-D into the cage, setting up the Last Call, and just trying everything they could to win this match up. Beer Money miscalculated the cage door bump to the head, and Team 3-D hit 3D to win this match up! They are the new TNA Champions!
Chris Daniels, Aj Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett defeated Kurt Angle, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash
Kurt Angle and Chris Daniels started this first period, and they were just mat wrestling. Nothing too crazy was happening in this match up, then Booker T came down and him and Kurt Angle were having their way with Daniels. (I know that sounds gross, but it was true man, what can I say). Scott Steiner jumped into the match and it had some nice belly to belly suplexes off the top rope on Styles and Daniels! Samoa Joe was scheduled to come out but for some reason he wasn’t coming out. He just stayed behind, and then came out with a few seconds later. He immediately hit Steiner, then went back and forth with the Main Event Mafia, hitting every suplex in the book, reminding me of Tazz’s old wrestling style. Kevin Nash came out, but was immediately kicked in the face by Joe, hitting the fence immediately. Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe exchanged blows outside, but then he forced himself into the ring and was just dominating early on. With so many bodies in the ring, this thing started to really slow down. Then came down Jeff Jarrett and things were starting to pick up in an all new way. This match was fairly gimmick free, until the roof of the cage lowered down with all sorts of weapons hanging from the top of it! Oh man, this is the biggest gimmick match of all, and what a load of crap. This was worse than the old Raven’s funhouse matches. They switched to a six way camera view of the action and I had no idea what to watch, this was like a weird video game of some kind. Aj Styles and Kurt Angle were fighting on top of the cage. This looked very dangerous, a lot more dangerous than the Hell in the Cell bump. Aj jumped off the top into the middle of the ring, and it looked like Steiner just got his knee blown out! Not a lot of people caught him it was bad, it was really bad, and it was a great match pivot point at this time. There were just too many people in the ring, which made things really bad. There was just too much going on for the camera’s to follow. In fact this reminded me of the old wrestling games on Genesis or SNES, just a lot of crap going on in the ring, the occasional nice finisher, but nothing really going good. Jarrett hit Booker T with a guitar shot, AJ pinned him and this train wreck of a match completely blew up and it was over. This match sucked, I’m sorry, it was just too jumbled.
Post match, the lights went out. Then out came none other than Bobby Lashley! That’s right, Bobby Lashley came out! BOBBY LASHLEY came out and pointed his finger at the cage!
Cactus Jack defeated Sting to win the TNA Championship
I saw Beyond the Mat this weekend and boy was that a nice lead into this match up, which featured a much older Mick Foley in a cage match against Sting for the Tna heavyweight title. Lame. Immediately, this match turned macabre with Cactus Jack getting his face grated open through the side of the cage. This match was a good attempt at trying to entertain jaded wrestling fans, and it told a good story. Sting’s overtly better wrestling skills and stamina shown through, as Cactus Jack was trying to give it another go at it. This match had a silent crowd for the most part, until Cactus put on the Scorpion Death Lock, but didn’t get a submission out of it. This was a really slow moving match up, and Cactus started to act like a madman. At one point he slid into the cage on purpose in order to hit the camera man, and then he tried to get out of the cage through a hole made for the camera guy. Sting turned on the Scorpion Death Lock, it looked like it was going to be over somehow. Meanwhile, Foley got the barbed wire bat into the ring, and was ready to use it on Sting! Cactus Jack hit Sting in the crotch with the barbed wire bat, it looked terrible; a drop toe hold got Foley down, and Sting got the bat and was ready for revenge. Mr. Socko comes out! Sting finally gets busted open, but not really crazy. Foley took the barbed wire bat and hit Sting in the face with it. Foley and Sting started to climb out of the cage, and FOLEY drops out of the cage first, to WIN the TNA World Title! That’s right, MICK FOLEY defeats STING to win the TNA TITLE! MICK FOLEY IS THE NEW TNA CHAMPION!

Tna Impact 4/16/09 Results and Review Crossing to Lock Down
Tna Impact 4/16/09 Results

Abyss & Daffney defeated ODB & Cody Deaner
Christopher Daniels defeated Kurt Angle
Tna Impact 4/16/09 Review
Like every good or bad wrestling show, this show started with people talking inside the ring. It was lame. It was just “Do you trust me” crap.
Homicide defeated Chris Sabin and Naito in a triple threat match
This was a triple threat match. It seemed that Sabin and Naito were working together but that ended fast when Sabin hopped up out of delivering a Chin Lock to hit a nice lariat. This was fast paced and good to look at. It was high spot after high spots, but a lot of interesting fluid wrestling. This match was like watching someone play the N64 Wrestling games, because it seemed that this was choreographed by some gamer with a bit of nostalgia. Naito had some very picture perfect wrestling moves, including flyinig lariats and a beautiful bridge suplex. Sabin’s tornado ddt with a Insaguri combination was a highlight of this match up. The 187 off the middle rope ended this one, and it was picture perfect!
There was an interview with double J…lame. ODB had a backstage segment, lame. The Main Event mafia were interviewed.
Taylor Wilde, Awesome Kong, and Raisha Saeed defeated The Beautiful People
This match didn’t even get started. I mean, it did start, but it was too short to make a good match up. The knockout division usually is good, but the last few impact shows it’s been really a slow build. This was a terrible match up, and it ended with Kong’s Implant Buster.
Post match they wanted to cut more hair, and took out Taylor Wilde and Raisha Saeed by sending them face first into the woman’s title. The Beautiful People also sprayed something into Kong’s eye and then knocked her out with the Title Belt and they went ahead and cut her hair! This had to be the ultimate humiliation.
Abyss & Daffney defeated ODB & Cody Deaner
I haven’t seen Daffney in a while, and I like her. She is pretty cool. I mean, she looks cool, I like her better than ODB that’s for sure. They kept playing up that Cody Deaner isn’t a wrestler, but he got in there with Abyss at one point and was basically getting trashed. Abyss gets the win in another short match.
Post match Matt Morgan ran down and beat Abyss up.
Mick Foley tried to give himself, Cactus Jack an Interview. Then Sting came out. It was stupid. This whole thing is dumb. Foley then beat up sting. This feud sucks.
Balls Mahoney showed up! Spike Dudley was there too1 The two former ECW standby’s were getting worked over by Beer Money with chairs and were just getting messed up. They definitely took a page out of ECW’s old playbook. It was pretty cool.
Jeff Jarrett introduced the Fallen Angle Christopher Daniels! That’s right, Christopher Daniels is back! That’s going to be awesome! Christopher Daniels! I marked out huge because he’s one of my favorite wrestlers in recent years.
Christopher Daniels defeated Kurt Angle
This was good match up. Christopher Daniels didn’t really show a whole lot of ring rust in this match up. Kurt Angle was keeping up with a much faster and lighter Christopher Daniels and it was cool over all. The missed Asahi Moonsault from Daniels was impressive, as he landed on his feet! However that was short lived because Angle hit the rolling German suplexes and this match was heating up at this point.
And that was your Impact. This was weird. It kind of just ended with the return of Christopher Daniels and that’s about it. I don’t know what to say about this one, if you like TNA this was like half a good show. There wasn’t a whole lot to it, considering that they are having a ppv this week, I would think that they would’ve been more productive, but nope. It’s nice to see some TNA returns but overall this wasn’t that great of a show. The four disc Jeff Jarrett dvd looks interesting though.

TNA Impact 3/19/09 Results and Review Sting What Side Is He On
Here we go, a few days after the big ppv this last weekend, and hopefully it doesn’t completely suck.
The Main Event Mafia started the show. Most notable was Scott Steiner, his face fully covered, was in the background. Kurt Angle started calling out Sting yet again. After a few comments, Kurt Angle called out Jeff Jarrett, who promptly came down and said Angle doesn’t deserve crap! Foley showed up and started to talk crap…they were losing me. Jeff Jarret and Mick Foley will wrestle Sting & Kurt Angle later tonight!
No Limit w/ Kiyoshi defeated The Motor City Machine Guns
This was a good overall International tag team match up. This was fast moving action with little to no psychology. I didn’t mind, considering the language barrier and the sheer amount of great wrestling moves I’ve seen in a long time. The Bridge suplex mid match was picture perfect! The Japanese team of No Limit won this fast match up and it wasn’t half bad. After the match Beer Money ran down and knocked everyone out.
Beer Money called out Team 3-D they are going to wrestle in a cage at the next ppv.
ODB & Taylor Wilde defeated Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed
This match didn’t have enough time to develop. It ended up being kind of boring. The match was rushed and while it had a few spots, it really was rushed, and well, the good guys win again. Or should I say, the good girls? Women? Whatever.
Samoa Joe vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir no contest
This match never happened. Samoa Joe pounced, beat up the ref then took Bashir to the back beating him along the way. We then got thrown into another commercial. Seriously, this wasn’t even worth it.
Aj Styles gets a trophy and some money for winning the Veteran’s championship. Boring.
The Governor defeated Madison Rayne
I’m so sick of this stupid gimmick. I don’t know why they keep pushing this “Palin” gimmick, but it is stupid to me. What makes this worse for me is the fact that The Governor can’t really wrestle all that well. She’s got a few moves, but overall, the beautiful people’s constant interference messed with the timing and dare I say, made it better? Yeah. The Governor pulled out a victory after a quick roll up, creating another boring match up. After the match up, they cut The Governor’s hair. This match felt really rushed, and it seemed like the post match had more in ring psychology than the actual match up! Sad state of affairs for the TNA Knockouts.
Samoa Joe was torturing Sheik Abdul Bashir, hanging him upside down and beating him with a kendo stick. This cleared the FCC? Wow, this is dumb. Samoa Joe used to put on four star matches, now he’s just stupid and psychotic. This is unnecessary, yet they keep pushing it in our faces. Lame.
Jeff Jarrett & Mick Foley defeated Kurt Angle & Sting
This match started with Angle and Jarrett exchanging classic wrestling holds, and Double J proving that he still has it in him to lift himself for a perfect drop kick. Foley was tagged in and you know what? The dude can chain wrestle, not the best chain wrestling I’ve ever seen, it was just good for Foley. Of course, Foley isn’t in the best shape of his career and it showed in this match up. Of course, the ref was knocked out, and so was everyone in the ring except for Jarrett and Angle. Sting got hold of Jarrett’s Guitar, Foley got a Chair and leveled Sting! The ref got down and counted the three, and things just kind of ended with that.
Overall, this edition of TNA Impact wasn’t all that good. TNA needs to strengthen their roster with better matches, less backstage shenanigans and just straight forward wrestling. That’s their strong suit, and yet they don’t use it. Too bad.

Tna Against All Odds 2009 Results and Review
The February ppv for TNA had a stacked card. Well, Stacked for TNA, and it was interesting to say the least. Here is how it all happened live on PPV!
Alex Shelley defeated Eric Young
Eric Young finally got another shot at the x-division title shot, and this time it’s not with Sheik Abdul Bashir. It’s against Alex Shelley, and you know what? The Alex Shelley music sucks so bad, man they need to get him something heavier. This match started out really well. Eric Young had a few missteps and Shelley took advantage of that, making a go for it, and introduction Young to a world of pain, with a lot of rest holds and random submission holds. Eric Young got a second win, and started blocking Alex Shelley’s attempts to get the upper hand. Eric Young then turned things around with a top rope leg drop and then things started to look on the up and up for him, until he missed a moonsault! I definitely thought this match some serious legs, and things looked like they were over many different times. I haven’t seen a good match in a while, and it seems that at least once or twice a month TNA introduces to us what professional wrestling is all about. The super bulldog from Shelley was insane, and the huge frog splash was incredible to say the least. After the near falls from those two moves, there seemed to be a few misses, and I swore that Eric Young screwed up a little. While Eric Young was distracted Shelley took the advantage and rolled up Young, pulled the tights and won the match! Alex Shelley retains the X-division championship.
Big Poppa Pump defeated Petey Williams
I personally feel that this is a complete mismatch, but that’s just me. I don’t know about you, but these two are NOT evenly matched whatsoever. Scott Steiner was getting the best of Petey Williams, creating a David vs Goliath scenario that we see a lot in the WWE with Rey Mysterio. Petey did manage a lot of short dropkicks, ala Konnan, and Steiner definitely had to really sell them, because Williams was proving to be a little more agile than I thought he would be against Big Poppa Pump. Steiner was flustered midway through this match, and it showed as the match went on longer. Steiner has a lot of weight to carry and it didn’t look like Steiner was working on his Cardio too much. Williams was basically smothered throughout the match up. Steiner cinched on the Steiner Recliner on Williams, but Petey managed to get to the ropes and Steiner let him go. Steiner defeated Petey Williams with the first time I’ve seen a reverse Piledriver since Owen Heart screwed up Stone Cold’s neck! Steiner wins with one of the sickest piledriver’s I’ve ever seen. He then finishes things off after the match up with a huge Angle slam off the middle rope.
FYI Samoa Joe’s new face pain makes him look stupid. He calls out Scott Steiner.
Brutus Magnus defeated Chris Sabin
Magnus put out an open challenge. Sabin answered, but his theme music made him look like a chump. This match was kind of funny to me. Magnus is NOT as big as the monster he is trying to portray. His style is similar to Lex Luger’s old style, but he isn’t as big or as tall. He spent a lot of the time trying to look more monstrous than he really was. Magnus hit some finishing move and got the win. Sabin didn’t stand a chance, Sabin sucks and his music sucks.
Someone should tell TNA that they don’t need a 20 minute backstage interview with Team 3-D. They aren’t Hogan, they aren’t Ultimate Warrior, they aren’t charismatic enough to get that kind of position. Oh well.
Awesome Kong defeated ODB
Awesome Kong went right to work on ODB after an initial flurry from the latter. Things weren’t too unlike what we already see on impact, with ODB getting in a good amount of offense before Awesome Kong started to throw her weight around, literally. Awesome Kong then hit a succession of her signature moves, and finally the Implant buster and BOOM! Awesome Kong defeats ODB once again proving that she is the most dominant of all the TNA knockouts.
Booker T defeated Shane Sewell
Booker T looked weak in a lot of this match up. The former or current ref was going nuts after a few minutes of getting beat. His style isn’t lending well to the much taller and bigger Booker T. Once things were going his way, he dropped his guard and Booker T made him pay! Booker T took out the ref, and kept his “legends” title, in one of the worse feuds ever produced for professional wrestling today. Booker T won this one, and then was set to beat on the ref more, but out came Aj Styles! Aj Styles came out and started fighting off Booker! Booker was taking some major shots, and most likely will defend the legends belt against AJ Styles later on. In fact, to foreshadow that, Styles was standing in the ring with the Belt and got on the mic to yammer…lame.
Abyss defeated Matt Morgan
Abyss took a lot of punishment in this match up. The match went all over the arena and eventually got back to the inside of the ring. Matt Morgan was letting Abyss work stiff, as Abyss was hitting heavy handed, closed fists to the top of his head. Abyss was taking liberties at different moments. Eventually the match got more plunder involved and after a few referee bumps, things really got out of control. Abyss eventually landed a black hole slam onto a chair for the big win. Abyss went out and got some thumbtacks and spread them all over the ring, but Morgan left before any damage could be done. Overall a stupid match, with no major moments that I can remember; which hopefully means we’ll never see these idiots fight again.
Beer Money defeated Lethal Consequences
If you’ve seen one tag team title match between Beer Money and any other team on the TNA roster, than you’ve seen them all. This match didn’t exactly thrill too hard. Sure there were moments where you thought someone was going to win, but overall it was the standard Beer Money doing whatever they could to win. So by saying that much, you got a good overall tag team match up. Beer Money is a sure fire throwback to the glory days of Tag Team wrestling! These guys are going to go on to be one of the hall of famers…as far as teams are concerned. Lethal Consequences got a lot of tags in this match up, which is expected. Beer Money walked away yet again with the titles, proving that they are probably hands down the best tag team in TNA right now.
Sting defeated Kurt Angle, Devon Dudley, and Bubba Ray Dudley
I was under the impression that this match was a four way match up, but Team 3D kept it a tag team affair. For the most part it was just them beating the hell out of Sting and Kurt Angle. Right when I started writing that, they were left in the ring together, alone, and they started to go at each other. They just went back and forth, nothing too spectacular, just rights and lefts with Devon getting the early edge before Bubba Ray started shifting his weight around and getting the upper hand. Devon is obviously the more fit of the two as Bubba Ray got tired fast and the two ended their action with a double clothesline, picture perfect double Clothesline; their fight was short lived. The match took a turn for the fun when Sting got locked into a figure four right next to Kurt Angle who was locked into a Boston crab submission hold! He was trying to pin Sting, who was right next to him. Both competitors got out of the holds and they started fighting each other. Kurt Angle got the better of the battle, and I thought for sure he was going to take Sting in this match up, as he was setting Sting up to lose this one. Best spot of the night, definitely was the Doomsday Device that Team 3-D did on Kurt Angle. After the dust settled, Sting hit the scorpion death lock on Bubba Ray to win this one and retain the TNA World Title.

TNA Impact 1/23/09 Results and Review The End of the Original
TNA Impact came blazing through their 1/23/09 edition, and there was some good matches lined up.
Alex Shelley defeated Sonjay Dutt, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Chris Sabin
TNA seems to love these style matches, where the titles are on the line in a cluster of a match with several opponents. These matches are usually high spot after high spot, with little or no psychology to speak of. This match was fast paced, and it did not appear that any one person had a clear advantage over the other. Booker T’s wife came down the ramp and was at ringside, which seemed odd. Shelley and Dutt put on a good showing in this match up and Sabin was helping Shelley retain in various moments of this match up. Shelley rolled up an opponent into an odd pinning situation and won this match, retaining his X Division title.
ODB defeated Sojourner Bolt via disqualification
Bolt started this match by attacking ODB’s leg, trying to isolate a body part, just like classic technical wrestlers of the past would do. ODB was getting the upper hand towards the end of this match up, but Awesome Kong came out and caused the disqualification. Kong hit the implant buster and ODB was out cold. Roxxi and Taylor Wilde came out for the save.
Booker T & Scott Steiner defeated Eric Young & Petey Williams
This was an interesting match up. Williams and Young really pushed things in t his math up and it looked like the main event mafia wasn’t that good after all. Steiner was bumping a lot more than usual. Booker T of course wasn’t going to let the win occur and really caused the break up of a lot of different pinning combinations. This was an elimination style tag team match, and after Eric Young was eliminated it was all downhill for Petey Williams. The main event mafia wins again.
Beer Money defeated Matt Morgan and Abyss in a First Blood Match
First blood matches are dumb to me. I used to like them back when I was younger, but that was only because there were some compelling fights that deserved it. This match didn’t really deserve that gimmick, and especially not on television for free. Maybe, and this is a low maybe, it might be worthwhile on a ppv. Even after heavy shots with chairs, no one was bleeding at all. Matt Morgan was ready to hit Beer Money with a chair and swerved everyone, he hit Abyss square in the face with a big chair shot, prompting Abyss to bleed. Matt Morgan has turned on Abyss, in a swerve that we saw coming for week!
Kurt Angle defeated Aj Styles in a Tables Match
Kurt Angle and Aj Styles fought in a Tables match up at the end of Impact. I wasn’t sure who would win this one, but it was good none the less. Aj Styles flew off the ring apron and Angle was immediately winded. This match was interesting to say the least, as the two have wrestled each other many different times. Kurt Angle was definitely the aggressor towards the end of this match up, forcing Aj Styles to try and comeback for the win. They eventually set up table and Angle took a nut shot onto a table sideways that looked bad. Styles built some momentum towards the end of the match, and the crowd was firmly behind him as he was setting up for a victory. Kurt Angle moved out of the way of Aj flying off the top rope, then hit the Angle Slam through the table and defeats AJ Styles!

This edition of TNA Impact wasn't all that great. I think there were too many backstage segments. Some of the matches were decent, but overall, this show wasn't all that fun for me. I felt there was still something missing overall. I can't really put my finger on it.

Tna Final Resolution 2008 Revew and Results
I was really dreading this one, but since I’m going to be absent for the next couple of days, I’m going to be reviewing yet another TNA PPV, and here it is Final Resolution 2008.
Cute Kip, Sonjay Dutt, Some Dude From The Motor City Machine Guns, BG James, Jay Lethal, Consequences Creeds, Curry Man, Hernandez, Homicide, Shark Boy wrestled in a Fest or Fired match.
This match sucks. I hate the gimmick, I hate how people are just fighting each other for the briefcases. Last year, they had this and it was so lame and so convoluted, and made me hate wrestling in a lot of ways. My favorite part of the match was the Curry Man moves. It seemed like everyone got to hit their favorite spot, including LAX. Hernandez was launching people out of the ring like hot potatoes! It was kind of cool. There was just too much going on for my tastes. Curry Man gets case #3 and then dives onto the floor with NO ONE to catch him! Homicide got briefcase #1! Honestly, some of these mid carders are no no name wrestlers to me, I have no idea who some of them are. I know some of them…most of them? I don’t know. Some of these guys haven’t been on Impact in a while. Jay Lethal jumped in and took a briefcase, briefcase #2! The Motor City Machine Guns were left standing in the ring, without a case and they were upset that Jay Lethal jacked them for the case. This is the most convoluted match in the history of professional wrestling.
Curry Man pulled Case #3
Homicide pulled Case #4
Jay Lethal pulled case #2
Hernandez pulled case #1
One case was going to be opened tonight, and that case was number 2 so Jay Lethal opened his briefcase revealing: Jay Lethal will receive a tag team title shot! WTF? This is so stupid, so convoluted, I hate this match, FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS!
ODB, Roxxi, and Taylor Wilde defeated Sharmell and The Beautiful People
The knockouts were on point as usual. I could see a ppv dedicated to the woman’s championsip, as these girls really put it all out there. They are better wrestlers than lookers, that’s for sure, however the beautiful people do have that porno starlet quality to them. Whatever the case is, these chicks got it going on. They can wrestle really well, and I enjoyed this match, and if you’ve seen the impact matches featuring these women, you’ll have enjoyed this one. It’s longer than impact, and they really o a good job. I really liked Roxxi in this match up, she showed she can wrestle and be extreme and her tag team maneuvers with Taylor Wilde really proved to be a great and unique way to use them together. Sharmell wasn’t in there for a lot of the match, and you could tell she was scared as ODB was tagged in. Sharmell finally got tagged in and ODB was ready to kill her but Cute Kip interfered and ODB cased Sharmell straight to the back of the arena. Taylor Wilde picked up the win for her team with a cross body block off the top rope!
Eric Young defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir for the x-division championship
The X-Division title match was on the line in this one. First things first, he ref that screwed things up the last time is once again here, and this is lame. However, the two put on a half way decent match up. WWE could take notes on this, as the cruiserweights can really put on some good classic wrestling if they are given some time to wrestle. Bashir did put in a lot of rest holds, but overall, he made it look good with Eric Young putting in some great counter moves. Eric Young’s top rope elbow drop was amazing! Picture perfect, and nearly like the classic Macho Man elbow drops that I remembered as a kid. Lots of near falls followed with neither opponent getting an edge over the other. Eric Young wins this one and the x-division title!
Post match, Bashir attacked the ref and that prompted the ref to go nuts again. The ref got busted wide open and was wobbly during this one, and Bashir really beat the hell out of him! I can’t believe no one came to the rescue of the ref, who was really paying for any previous encounters he might have had with Bashir.
Christy Hemme defeated Awesome Kong via disqualification
This match has been boiling for a while, but I was under the impression that Hemme had a battle with the beautiful people? Maybe not; this match was for the knockouts title, it was definitely better than any divas match I’ve seen this year. Hemme was fearless in this match, jumping off the top rope onto kong, and really giving Kong a run for her money. Hemme had this sewn up for the win but Raesha Saeed pulled Hemme out of the ring during her pin attempt, then Rhaka Khan was out there trying to fight her, and Hemme basically was fighting three women to try and win this match up against Awesome Kong. Kong went nuts and threw the referee down, and then went on to beat th living crap out of Hemme, until TNA officials came running in and separated the two knockouts.
Beer Money Inc defeated Matt Morgan & Abyss
The tag team championship titles were on the line for this match up and things could get very good for Matt Morgan and Abyss, but I had my doubts going into this match up. Matt Morgan and Abyss were looking way too dominant for Beer Money and Beer Money was nearly walking out of the match up, and of course like in all ppv matches the stipulations changed and if they lost the match via count out they would lose the titles. So they were forced to come back. Beer Money turned things back around again, and they were looking like the champs as they systematically tried to dissect Matt Morgan working over his limbs with ease. That is until Morgan got his second wind, and Abyss got tagged in! He was cleaning house with every single big move he has in his arsenal. But the guys in beer money gave him a good match up. Abyss stole the beer bottle from Beer Money and was ready to strike, but was distracted long enough for one of the members of Beer Money to grab some brass knuckles and knock out abyss! Beer Money keeps their titles with one of the oldest tricks in the book! FINALLY a GOOD tag team! Beer Money is a perfect example of a good tag team in modern day professional wrestling.
Suicide made his in ring debut. Full mask and body covered. He beat up the motor city machine guns, and just annihilated both of them. I don’t know who Suicide is, but everyone I’ve spoken to have claimed that it is Christopher Daniels, I’m not sure who he is really…nor do I even care. It wasn’t a match, he just jumped in and beat people up.
Kurt Angle defeated Rhino
Mick Foley was the special guest enforcer
This to me was just delaying the inevitable meeting between Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett. You knew it was coming and it was just TNA’s way of getting Rhino involved with the ppv. Kurt Angle was once again beating his opponent out of the ring and made sure to get in a lot of spots. Meanwhile, Foley was trying to give tips to Rhino whenever Angle was out of the way. Angle was way too confident with his rear naked choke as he just seemed to be trying to choke out Rhino, but Rhino go back up and mounted a short lived comeback. Angle got the upper hand in this match up with the inevitable Ankle Lock and Foley was screaming for Rhino to dig deep, and somehow, by some miracle managed to not be a factor at all. Rhino did however put on another great comeback and set up for a huge gore, but walked into an angle slam instead. Angle looked frustrated, and foley was itching to get back into the ring one more time. The Ref got gored out of his boots which was a nice touch, and Angle had this match sewn up completely. He went out to ringside and grabbed a chair, meanwhile Foley was in the ring to try and stop him from hitting Rhino with a chair, meanwhile Foley took over the ref’s job and counted a quick two count! He then kicked out the ref and took the full fledged ref’s spot for a good portion of the match up. Rhino was looking to be winning this one, especially now that Foley was the ref. Al Snow was there! Al Snow showed up! That’s right, AL FREAKIN SNOW! Angle took advantage of Foley being distracted by Snow, and Foley counted a three count after Angle hit Rhino in the head with a chair!
Sting, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner defeated Team 3-D, Samoa Joe, and Aj Styles
This was also convoluted. But easy to follow, meaning that the world title was on the line in this match; Sting’s team had to win to retain the belt for Sting, however if Styles’ team won, then Sting would lose the belt to Aj. Weird. Alright, this match was your basic tag team fair, nothing crazy, just everyone getting a shot to show what they had. These type of 8 man tag team matches rules the 1980’s wwf scene and I remember borrowing lots of “Best of WWF” tv compilation vhs tapes from my local video store, and that’s what this match reminded me of. It was an all around good match up, even though there were some spots that were a little long for my particular tastes. With so many fresh tags, no one looked to be so doing worse than the other, and overall this wasn’t half bad. I actually didn’t have a favorite going into this match up, but it was refreshing to see so many spots in such a match up. We saw some of the best moves from Team 3-D and even Nash got a few spots in this one. Dare I say, that Steiner looked good too! Overall not the worst match up in the world, even if it was a tag team match for the main event. This was almost as good as the main event of In Your House Canadian Stampede where The Hart Foundation went over big in the main event in a HUGE tag match. This thing turned into an all out brawl at the end, as it should, and things were really favoring the Main event mafia. Sting hit the scorpion death drop and pins joe for the win. The main event mafia win again!

TNA Impact 10/30/08 The Making of the Mafia
I hate the tag lines. Th new TNA intro is exactly like the old RAW is War/Attitude era WWE intro, complete with rain, cages, and women. I hope this doesn’t suck.
The show starts with Aj Styles and Samoa Joe ranting about how no one helped them when they were beating up the Main Event Mafia. Joe is out there and he looked pissed too. It’s hilarious. These guys don’t need to open the show, we need more wrestling, less talk. The Motor City Machine Guns and the rest of the tna roster hits the ring to join the two, but the guns don’t really want to join the revolution of sorts. Samoa Joe slaps one member of the Machine Guns, and her comes the Main Event Mafia! They take turns on the mic and I’m bored, you should be bored too. The Main Event Mafia declares war tonight on Impact!
Christy Hemme & ODB defeated The Beautiful People
Not a horrible match, this had Hemme starting out and ODB coming in with quick tags, these two really have a good amount of talent and work together well. The Beautiful people are good at taking bumps, well about as good as I’ve seen from so called “model” wrestlers. Velvet Sky took advantage of a quick ref distraction and The Beautiful People took control of the match and things were looking bad for Hemme and ODB. The middle of this match was boring, and while The knockouts are usually good at wrestling, this time around they seemed a little out of it. The Beautiful People weren’t exactly all that good at all towards the end of this match and really showed that they need more in ring work. ODB looked great, and I’m always impressed by her athleticism if not by the stupid gimmick she has. ODB gets the win on this one, and it’s all over.
Eric Young defeated James Storm
Apparently the whole TNA war angle is NOT applicable to the tag team division. This match wasn’t all that bad, it was actually kind of cool. Eric Young defeated James Storm after a misfire distraction from his partner, and gets the win in a short match. There wasn’t a whole lot to mention in this one. It was quick, easy, and painless.
What happened to the Super Eric gimmick? I’m just saying.
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Tanahashi & Volador
First and foremost, The Machine Guns need to get better intro music. They need something heavier than their treble heavy guitar hero style music. They need something from the band “Godsmack” like “I Stand Alone” or something like that. Trust me, I know these things.
This immediately broke into a high flying match with the foreign wrestlers making themselves look amazing, as both guys were doing the Japan/Lucha style to start the match up. The Machine Guns turned the table and they pulled off a win with The Cradle Shock and things were over fast. The start of this match was amazing, however, the turn in the middle and the ending was lame. This was too short of a match to warrant a lot of praises, so I’ll just say this one was watchable but not by much.
Samoa Joe & Aj Styles defeated Booker T & Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash is NOT in his prime and to see him out there trying to wrestle Aj is just lame to me. Styles did turn the tables around a little, however the show went to commercial break. When we return things were back in business with Booker T messing up Samoa Joe. Joe looked good returning some of the shots to Booker T, but Booker is just way too fast. He is just so good, Booker T is amazing here, and Joe looked winded at times, and then Kevin Nash came in and started to drop elbows onto Joe. The veterans looked great, even though Nash is older, he had some problems lifting Joe for the sidewalk slam, but other than that things were actually picking up a little. The end came when Booker T missed a scissors kick, then hit the Pele kick for the clean pin over Booker T.
Abyss defeated Kurt Angle via disqualification
This match started with Abyss really taking it to Kurt Angle. I liked that Angle wasn’t able to dominate this match at all. He was getting worked so much that he eventually left ringside and tried to leave through the crowd! After the commercial break, Kurt Angle attacked Abyss by hitting his legs and trying to make the big man go down. He was setting him up for the Ankle Lock submission. (Stolen from Ken Shamrock’s WWE Run) Abyss had a second wind but ran into a Blackhole Slam from Abyss and after the near fall, I had my doubts as to how this match was going to end. Angle hit the Olympic slam and that couldn’t get the big man down! Kurt Angle faked an injury, went outside grabbed a chair and leveled Abyss with it, and lost the match due to disqualification. He then went inside and locked on the Ankle Lock submission. Abyss kept trying to fight, but then Angle was trying to scrape Abyss’ back where he is supposedly burned on. Lame. Angle continues to beat up Abyss until Matt Morgan runs down and starts to level the former champ.
Didn’t Angle defeat Matt Morgan already? Yeah. This is lame to me. Out came the Main Event Mafia and started to beat down Matt Morgan, Morgan started to fight back but Kevin Nash came into the ring and knocked out Matt Morgan and Abyss with a steel chair! The fight member of the Main Event Mafia showed up as the TNA originals ran into the ring, and guess who he was?

Christy Hemme & ODB defeated The Beautiful People
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Tanahashi & Volador
Samoa Joe & Aj Styles defeated Booker T & Kevin Nash
Abyss defeated Kurt Angle via disqualification
If you remember the old WCW days when the New World Order was mopping up every night, this is exactly like that. Basically the Veterans end up beating up everyone in the originals faction!

TNA Impact 10/2/08 Results and Review
I was looking forward to see TNA Impact, and I admit it was all because of Mick Foley arriving into the TNA. It was lackluster to say the least.
Angelina Love defeated ODB
WE get the Knockouts up front and in the center of the ring. ODB is gross to me, she’s really gross, she just looks weird to me, I’m sorry. The match was ok at best, it tried to be a lot, but it didn’t really pan out like I thought it would. The end came with Angelina Love getting the pin, thanks to interference, and it was all over.
It’s interesting to note that immediately after the match, Jeff Jarrett came out to the ring to discuss Kurt Angle’s comments. If you didn’t hear about the comments, here they are:
"...We call ourselves Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. We say: TNA – we are wrestling. No we’re not. We’re f***ing gimmick matches. Then there are the run-ins. At the last PPV, No Surrender, we had a triple threat main event between me, Christian Cage and Samoa Joe. We had a great match, but Samoa Joe won because Jeff Jarrett came in and hit me with a guitar. I would have won if Jeff didn’t do that."
There you have it. There you have it indeed. Kurt Angle is either swerving us all and this is a work, or this is a legit shoot and Jeff Jarrett is going to come out and talk legitimately. It’s funny that there is a storyline going on right now where Kurt Angle is wrestling Jeff Jarrett and this story comes out and is now a part of the storyline. I’m not sure what to believe from TNA, and maybe that’s the kind of push they need to gain interest into this feud.
The Jarrett Promo is a little weird. But he looks serious, I’m not sure if this is all a work or not, and you know what, I like that. I like not knowing, it’s about time someone does something a little different.
LAX defeated The Motor City Machine Guns
I like LAX and I had a vision as they were coming to the ring. What if WWE signed them, then signed Lil Cholo from the independent circuit, and then signed Hector Guerrero, brought in Chavo, and Super Crazy and we had a huge latino faction in the WWE? I know they tried before but that was more of a parody, not a legit faction. I think it could work.
This match was ok, it had a lot of spots, and it was fast paced. LAX are just as good as the Dudleys used to be. These guys are well fitted as a tag team and could go really far if they ever made it to the WWE, if the WWE really focused on the tag team division again. I can’t help but notice that the Machine Guns were allowed a lot of offense this week, considering that they have been on a losing streak for quite sometime. They really worked as a tag team in this one, with tandem moves, great reversals and lots of high flying, fast offense. Hernandez catching Sabin off the top rope and dropping him on the back of his head ended this match, and it was awesome to see how quick Hernandez reacted to Sabin flying off the top rope. This was like second nature, great ending, to a not so great match. It was ok, it wasn’t all that great, but it had enough spots to make things alright.
Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Eric Young and Jimmy Rave
We go from getting the x-division champion getting squashed last week, to him dominating this match up. Well, I wouldn’t call it total domination, but he definitely didn’t look as weak as he did when he was wrestling Samoa Joe, which is good for the division, but lacks consistency if you ask me. This match was your standard three way match up, with lots of fast reversals, great interim spots, and overall good stuff. This match was quite entertaining, as it was moving with great speed, and almost flawless. I like these types of matches because I can turn my brain off for a little bit, and just let the little guys go out there and put on a real show.
Team 3D & Booker T defeated Jay Lethal, Christian, Aj Styles
Here’s your standard six man tag. It was ok, but the Dudleys looked tired near the middle of this match. Bubba Ray is not as in shape as he was on his singles push in the WWE, and I know that’s not saying a whole lot, but I really can’t believe how much weight he’s gained while working in TNA. This match had a lot of fast tags, and a lot of times where the teams were brawling outside of the ring. I have to give great credit to Jay Lethal and Booker T for opening this match with an allstar set of counters and moves. Booker T is so fast and so is Lethal, these two in a big profile singles match could bring the house down, because their timing is dead on accurate. I haven’t seen that kind of timing in a long time, and for such a young wrestler in Jay Lethal. He doesn’t need the Macho Man gimmick, he can be a stand alone star if TNA lets him. Christian nearly wins the match with a roll up, but the referee was distracted. Aj Styles jumped off the top rope, Bubba Ray moved out of the way and nailed Christian, causing him to lose the match with Booker T rolling him up and giving another loss to Christian.
ODB & Rhaka Khan defeated The Beautiful People
Since ODB lost via distraction earlier on in the match, she really wanted to get a match for later on in the match, so we get this tag team match up. I haven’t seen Rhaka Khan in a long time, and she didn’t seem to have ring rust initially, but she’s not that good, she’s really not that good. I’m serious, she doesn’t look to be up to par with the rest of the knockouts. You know what? I”ve seen this match before too. What the heck? I had the feeling of déjà vu the whole time, as I do recall this exact match happening before, but I don’t remember when. The match was a little boring to me, and there wasn’t enough of a push for spots that I would’ve expected from the knockouts division. Rhaka Khan and ODB wins this matchup, but I swear, she’s not ready for the big time, she’s just not that good right now. She seems really “green” and just not ready for this prime time position. She really made this match suck.
Mick Foley arrives at TNA impact. I’m serious, and Foley tried to get a cheap pop and it failed. I have never seen Foley off, but he just wasn’t that charismatic, and he looked a little out of place in TNA’s six sided ring. I wasn’t buying anything Foley was saying. This was a really sappy gimmick, and Foley wasn’t doing anything good. Mid sentence, Kurt Angle came down to the ring, and interrupted Foley. Kurt Angle throws up a bunch of protests, and tries to insinuate a beat down from Foley, and these two on the mic are great.
We find out that Mick Foley will be the Enforcer for Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle at the PPV.
I'm tired. TNA made me really tired. It wasn't that great.
