10 WTF Moments WWE Raw 5/9/2016 By Professor Dune

Hello out there on the internet, here I am, your Professor of Pro Wrestling, with a new set of WTF moments from WWE Monday Night Raw. This was a stinker of a show, and if you disagree, well then you’re under the age of 25, and you should be sprayed with Rick Martel’s Arrogance fragrance.

10. You Never Call The Action Magul! – JBL

Not sure if JBL went off script here, but it was a highlight moment as he got mad, and just went nuts on Michael Cole. At certain points, you can even here Byron and Michael ask JBL to calm down on the mic.

9. Let’s Go Roman CHANTS

This was NOT piped in. The crowd was going insane, and were chanting “Let’s Go Roman”, to the tune of 10,000 plus fans.

8. Booing Aj Styles

The world has certain turned, as Aj Styles was legitimately getting booed against Roman Reigns, holy crap.

7. The Club

They are not the Good Brothers, they are THE CLUB. Now, I love a good Club Sandwich, but this club, still reminds me of 1992 Nasty Boys.

6. A Potted Plant Is More Over Than Dean Ambrose

I was going to say hell no, then Jericho put up a lot of tweets and MEMES that shows the fact that yes, Dean Ambrose isn’t as over as a damn house plant!

5. Stephanie McMahon tells Jericho that nothing can drive a wedge between her and Shane McMahon. Then later Shane McMahon says that their relationship isn’t that good!

WTF, seriously, WWE what a lackluster attention span.

4. Summer Rae is going to be visiting Space Mountain as she states on Twitter.

Seriously, Summer Rae with what I can only assume is a fallatio reference on Twitter.

3. Rusev Gets Rolled Up by Sin Cara

Last week we got a strong Rusev, and this week, he’s getting rolled up by a lucha-jobber. So much for eating Kalisto’s heart. Looks like you’ll get NOTHING. NOTHING!

2. A Distraction Roll Up In The Semi-Main Event!

Anderson rolls up one of the USOS thanks to a distraction roll up, and Roman Reigns claims he saw it, and that he’s going to make Anderson pay. Nope, Nope, Roman you were on the floor idiot, the camera shots all confirm. Moron.

1. An Elimination Occurred during a commercial break?!? What the Hell?

There you have it, 10 WTF moments that I, Professor Dune spotted this week. Now, back to your regularly scheduled blogging. Oh, and You’re Welcome!

Oh, and one last thing, Jericho's jacket isn't worth that much, it's worth more! $25,000 Dollars! Holy Crap. This is a feud over a jacket and a potted plant, a new era right? Yeah.

WWE Wrestlemania 25 Results and Review The Worst Wrestlemania Ever

The results are now going to go first, then the review...so there you go.

WWE Wrestlemania 25 Results

C.M. Punk won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Santino (a) won a divas 25 women battle royal
Chris Jericho defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Rowdy Roddy Piper
Chris Jericho defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Rowdy Roddy Piper
Matt hardy defeated Jeff Hardy
Rey Mysterio defeated JBL for the Intercontinental Championship
Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels
John Cena defeated The Big Show and Edge for the WWE Championship
The Colons defeated John Morrison & The Miz in a WWE Tag Team Unification match up
Triple H defeated Randy Orton.

Here we go, I didn’t think I would make it, but here we go. The big event tonight is live from a near sold out Texas stadium. I heard on a podcast that this show is not sold out and that there are 25,000 tickets unsold as of Thursday. However, last minute ticket discounts, giveaways and more probably filled the stadium. I’m sure live notes will change things up a little. We’ll have to see what happens, with that. I’m glad I made it back in time to check this mess out, so that I can review it for you. If you’re out there and reading this, please buy something via amazon.com so that I can pay for this ppv, it was 20 dollars more than the average ppv, and really is breaking my bank. So yeah…chip in for your old pay sirjorge via the amazon links on the site, I get like 4% of what you buy, which isn’t much, but man, this isn’t cheap for me.

It has a good opening segment, asking what the best wrestlemania moment ever was…but who cares? I liked it wrestlemania 6 Hogan vs Warrior, I nearly cried when Hogan lost that match. Seriously, that was a tough one. Some random chick from the Pussycat Dollas was doing “American the Beautiful” lame. The best opening I’ve ever seen was Willie Nelson at Wrestlemania 7 in Los Angeles, when my dad took me. It was the L.A Sports Arena and Willie Nelson had a Wwe Heavyweight title around his waste, which was awesome. I marked out huge for Willie, even though I don’t own any of his albums. Wrestlemania 7 was awesome.

And away we go…Wrestlemania 25

**NOTE**

Apparently I didn’t get the Colon’s Tag Team title match, but they won the match up and are the Unified Tag Team Champions. Just so you know.

First match was Money in the Bank

The Participants:

C.M Punk
Finlay
MVP
Kane
Mark henry
Christian
Shelton Benjamin
Kofi Kingston

C.M. Punk won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match

First for the highlight reel was Kofi Kingston jumping over a mid waist high ladder and delivering a dropkick immediately afterwards! He may have hurt his knee though. Jim Ross claims that Reliant Stadium is sold out! Kane and Henry were first to go after the case but were melee’d by the rest of the guys out there. Kane was afraid to bump, that was apparent. Shelton Benjamin took a huge dive into all other competitors off a 25 ladder! Afterwards, Mark Henry was at the top rope ready to launch, but he didn’t make it. Hornswoggle brought in a baby ladder and was climbing to the top trying to reach the belts! Hornswoggle took a major dive off the top rope onto all the competitors. Kofi Jumped through a ladder ala Jackie Chan! That was insane, if you missed it man….wow…Kofi also caught a nut shot via Finlay’s baby ladder. I thought for sure Christian had this thing with a clever way to save himself from falling, but C.M Punk was there to stop him, then Kane was there to win it, but Punk once again clutched a hold of the briefcase and wins! C.M Punk gets it! CM PUNK WINS!

Kid Rock did a performance at this point. Not really my thing, but whatever.

The Divas started to march out at this point, for their match up, I lost track of who was out there cause I got distracted.

My ppv channel froze on me at this point. Seriously, this sucked, but while trying to call Comcast, the video came back on and I stopped calling them.

I’m not sure how many people from the past were in here.

Santino (a) won a divas 25 women battle royal

Victoria, Mickey James, Gail Kim, Jillian, Sunny, Maryse, Katie Lea, Beth Phoenix, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Santino (dressed as a girl) , Michelle McCool, Melina

There might have been others though, I couldn’t really see because Comcast trashed my feed halfway through the match up. This match was standard women’s battle royal and it ended up with Santino, dressed up as a girl winning the match up! SANTINO! That’s right, Santino dressed as a woman eliminated everyone!

Chris Jericho defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Rowdy Roddy Piper

Another hiccup had me missing the first part of this match up. I can’t believe this crap from Comcast…this thing is costing me a fortune and they keep messing it up! I join the match midway through and Jericho is getting worked. Piper got hit with elimination first or second, I don’t know, Snuka was out by the time I realized what was going on. Jericho was doing well, and Ricky Steamboat came back in with a house of fire worth of chops to Jericho. There was a lot of near falls with this match up and I thought Steamboat would get the victory but Jericho hit the Codebreaker and won the match up! That’s right, Jericho hit the Codebreaker on Steamboat for the win! Ric Flair got into the ring and the two exchanged blows like crazy, but it was too little too late.

Post match, Jericho called out Mickey Rourke, and he obliged by coming out into the ring! That’s right, he came out and entered the middle of the ring! Mickey Rourke knocked out Jericho with one punch and it was over.

Matt hardy defeated Jeff Hardy

Here we go, the war of the brothers. These guys took this match to extremes, but it wasn’t crazy. It wasn’t too much, it was just right for these two. The highlight for me was when Jeff Set up a table then put Matt on it, then put another table on top of him! I haven’t seen this since Bash at the Beach 1998 when Saturn set this up against Raven! Jeff Dove superman style through the top layer, to Matt and broke the bottom layer right in half! Jeff tried to jump a 20 foot ladder onto Matt, but that was a no go, Jeff might of knocked himself out after this one. He jumped like 20 feet, no joke, he was moving, but slowly, he is going to feel that later. Matt Hardy put this one to rest with a chair shot, and it was all over.

Rey Mysterio defeated JBL for the Intercontinental Championship

Rey Mysterio came out dressed as The Joker, with his mask completely covered, which was awesome. Rey Mysterio won this match up fast and easy, hit the 619 and it was all over. JBL got squashed.

Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels

Alright, this has to be match of the night! Yeah, this match was insane right here, it started off average and it had a few moments of boredom, but then things started to pick up and then we started to see some great stuff. Michaels missing the Moonsault was great, then if that wasn’t enough, Undertaker jumped over the top rope, Michaels pushed a camera guy in the way, and Taker landed on his head! This wasn’t a botch, but man did it look scary! Seriously, Undertaker may have knocked himself out completely with this one, and the Camera guy was dead, it was harsh. You heard a huge crack, which was insane too. Undertaker nearly got counted out because of this huge fall, but it was bad. HBK jumped back in and then hit one of the hardest Chokeslam’s I’ve ever seen in wrestling. He got a HUGE one, and it nearly killed HBK, at least it looked that way. Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music and the streak was definitely going and gone in this one, I thought it was going to be over, and Undertaker barely kicked out. The Last Ride was hit, but HBK kicked out of that too! THE LAST RIDE was hit and it sounded huge! HBK managed to kick out, and one must have really considered that HBK might in fact have ETERNAL LIFE! So the dead man might be outwitted by HBK, I know I was a believer at this point. Michaels got caught up in the ropes trying to get back into the ring like he did at the Royal Rumble, and Undertaker hit the biggest Tombstone piledriver I’ve ever seen in my life, seriously, the biggest one ever hit. This thing was so huge, and it wasn’t enough. Comcast shut me down again, but only for a moment, but the time it came back HBK hit Sweet Chin Music again! He hit it again, and it wasn’t enough to put away The Undertaker! It wasn’t enough and both guys were just completely stuck at this point. Michaels tried for one more moonsault but was caught by The Undertaker and dropped HBK on his head. One more Tombstone and it was all over. It was all over.

John Cena defeated The Big Show and Edge for the WWE Championship

John Cena had a TON of John Cena clones come down the ramp for him, and it was a cool site to see, this was a really cool intro. I don’t like John Cena but the million Cena clones was a sight to see in this match up, which is incredible. You gotta admit that was kind of cool, there were so many Cena clones, it was cool.
This match was ok at best. It had a lot of different outcomes were teased during this match up and it had edge looking the strongest. However, Chavo Guerrero got involved, and then it was mopped up. Big Show got caught up in the ropes a lot of times in this match up, as a way to isolate him, which was smart. Vickie got speared at one point too. In much predictable fashion, John Cena defeated Edge and the Big show to win this one.

Wrestlemania is announced to being in Arizona March 28th 2010.

Austin ran down and drank beer with Jim Ross and just had fun. The crowd went nuts.

Triple H defeated Randy Orton.

So now, we finish this thing, we finally get the big rematch. The last time I remember reviewing these two, Triple H broke Randy Orton’s collar bone and won the match up. This time it’s supposed to be personal, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one turns out…so I thought. Triple H hit the Pedigree early in the match up, but couldn’t pin Orton, and this match took another slow turn, as these two work slowly. The match took your standard moments with Triple H getting thrown over the side of the stage into the audience, but he made it back before the ten count. The match took a turn for the macabre when Triple H started to try and dismantle Orton outside, but was thwarted by the Ref’s warning that he would be disqualified if he were to continue. This was ludicrous, because he then got on top of a table with Orton! This led into the backdrop onto a table. The Ref took a bump, and boy did he sell it, like it was the worst thing that ever happened to him. Orton brought out the sledgehammer, and this thing was looking to end here. Triple H punted the crap out of Orton! Triple H ran and hit Orton with his own punt as Orton was trying to get back in the ring! Triple H then hit Orton, while he was down with right hands to an obscene point and nearly got himself disqualified. Triple H then hit the Pedigree for the win. Triple H defeated Randy Orton!

This was probably one of the worst Wrestlemania's I've ever seen. I didn't really like it, except for the HBK Taker match. This was lame.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/30/09 Results and Review One More Raw

The raw before Wrestlemania should be good right? We’ll see. It opened up with a Hearse being parked in the backstage area, who knows what that’s all about.

Tiffany & The Good Divas defeated the bad divas

I didn’t get all the names in this match up. By the time it was over I didn’t even get all the names. This seemed like a 12 man tag or something, this was a terrible match. Tiffany won the pinfall, and that was it.

Post match Santino came down to the ring in a robe. He took off the robe and was in a Mankini! Hilarious, he started dancing and all the divas were laughing. This was a poor segment, funny, but poor.

Chris Jericho defeated Jerry Lawler

Chris Jericho and Lawler? This should have been the wrestlemania match, not the three on one. Of course, I dug a little deeper and found that Vince isn’t too high on Lawler being in Wrestlemania as a huge participant, but that of course is all rumor, and no real concrete evidence of anything. Jericho came in and controlled the beginning of this match, hitting Lawler hard with simple moves. Lawler mounted a small comeback in the middle of this match and it wasn’t half bad. Lawler has a few matches left in his tank, but not in the same capacity as Jericho, and this was proven when Jericho slapped on the Walls of Jericho for the win.

Rey Mysterio jr defeated JBL

I’m not sure why they had this match, it was Jbl and Rey Mysterio? They should’ve saved this match or the ppv or put these guys in a tag match, not given it away for free on Raw. This was a non title match, and I’m not sure what the WWE was thinking. They have so many people on the roster, and they could’ve filled it here, but instead we got this match early. Not much of a match at all, this one ended predictably and I guess that’s all that can be said about this match up.

The Big Show defeated John Cena

John Cena and Big Show? Really? This was done so many times before; not as many times as they did with Edge and Cena but come on! What a terrible way to wedge in more wrestling onto Raw. This match was standard big man style vs no style cena. Cena needs to turn heel, and he should’ve done it yesterday. Terrible match.

Kane won an 8 man battle royal

This match sucked. It was your basic battle royal with all the participants in the Money in the Bank match up. Overall a boring endeavor and a crappy lead into wrestlemania.
Randy Orton got his best desserts with The Mcmahon family bum rushing Orton and beating him up.

Yay…Raw sucked, it’s been a while since raw sucked this bad.

WWE Raw 3/30/09 Results

Tiffany got a pinfall in a twelve man tag…it was so short I couldn’t get into it.
Chris Jericho defeated Jerry Lawler
Rey Mysterio jr defeated JBL
The Big Show defeated John Cena
Kane won an 8 man battle royal

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/16/09 Results and Review San Antonia Texas Edition

The WWE teased that Undertaker was going to confront Shawn Michaels at the opening of this show, but instead Lillian Garcia interrupted to let us know that these two would be tag team partners for the upcoming match up.

The Undertaker & Shawn Michaels defeated Kozlov & JBL

HBK had this match in firm grasp over JBL but as soon as Kozlov got tagged in, things turned completely around. HBK was definitely not enjoying any ort of domination in this match up. With that in mind, this tag match was setting up Undertaker for the hot tag, but I didn’t seem to mind it too much. I did think that The Undertaker should not have been so anxious or zealous in regards to trying to tag into the match up. He should’ve been stiff and refused a tag, leaving HBK out to there to lose this one, playing mind games. However, Undertaker got the hot tag, went through half of his move set in a matter of minutes against JBL and looked really strong overall. HBK blind tagged Undertaker, jumped in and scored the pinfall victory in this match up. This made The Undertaker mad, and confused me. The point of them being a tag team is so that they win! Who cares how! Whatever….The Undertaker used to not care, now he’s nothing but a wuss.

The best part of this segment was The Undertaker standing at the top of the ramp, giving his one arm salute, only to get kicked in the face by a Superkick from Shawn Michaels! That was classic, leaving Undertaker on the floor, dead….or undead? Haha.

Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, and Melina defeated Beth Phoenix, Jillian, Layla

This match was starting to get interesting towards the end, especially with Santino getting involved. However, the WWE once again pulls the rug from under us before this thing could really develop with Melina getting a roll up for no apparent reason other than they are short on time. This match was terrible, and once again proves that the WWE doesn’t really book women’s matches all that well. Then again, they need to get as many women in the night as possible, so maybe that’s the reasoning behind this.

Triple H defeated Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes got a stern lesson about who holds down the roster. Ok, maybe not, but Triple H basically squashed Cody Rhodes in a matter of minutes, and thwarted attacks by Orton and Ted Dibiase. However, Triple had a Steel Cage lower to the ring, and this of course is definitely going to have something to do with Wrestlemania!

The match didn’t start until the Steel Cage lowered. Cody was paying his dues in this match. Triple H used Cody to knock off Orton and Dibiase off the cage walls as they tried to climb up. Cody was getting killed, seriously, if you missed this part of Raw, you really missed it, because Cody was paying some major, heavy dues in this match up. This match was kind of cool, but it wasn’t an instant classic. Cody Rhodes got worked over in this match up, and was left laying in the ring, out cold. I haven’t seen a second generation star pay so many dues. At least not in one night; Cody Rhodes got obliterated by Triple H, and this can’t be a good sign.

Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler

Wow, Ziggler on Raw? I thought he would have gone the way of Kizarni! Remember that dude? One or two appearances on Smackdown and then officially gone. Ziggler is going to have to prove something to the boys in the back, and stay off the drugs, and maybe win a match. Rey Mysterio won this match easily, not missing one move, making quick work of Ziggler, proving yet again that WWE doesn’t like creating new stars. Well, at least not letting them go over.

Chris Jericho called out Ric Flair, and started whining and what not. Ric Flair came out and wouldn’t fight him. So he called Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and Ricky Steamboat to come and fight Jericho! They charged down to ringside, but after stopping Jericho, he weaseled his way out of the ring and ran away like a chump.

The WWE showed a recap of Wrestlemania XV, which is by far the worst wrestlemania in my opinion. I remember my friends and I were all sorely disappointed with the results.

MVP, CM Punk, and Kofi Kingston defeated Kane, Mark Henry, and Shelton Benjamin

If anyone knows how to do a huge tag match of epic proportions in a short amount of time it’s the WWE. This match had spots from all competitors, however, it never really tried to be too much of a spot fest. I really enjoyed that part of this match up, as it had a little time to develop, and enough follow through to make it a worthwhile match up. Good stuff, I enjoyed it, and of course the good guys won after CM Punk hit the GTS!

John Cena vs. Edge w/ Vickie Guerrero as special guest referee (no contest)

John Cena and Edge wrestled an ok match up, this thing was getting interesting but Vickie kept trying to sabotage Cena’s pinfall attempts. After a few exchanges of this type, Big Show came down and helped Edge lock John Cena in the ropes! After this was over Edge knocked out Big Show and was the last man standing. However, no real winner was declared….unless you count Edge, I guess he wins…somehow.

WWE Monday Night Raw 3/9/09 Results and Review Triple H Gets Arrested

I admit, I was really tired during this show. However, I tried to suck it up for you 2 readers out there that still come to the site. I know that no one is buying anything and no one is reading this, but I like it, so I keep writing.

The show opened up with Shawn Michaels in the ring talking about The Undertaker. The Undertaker shows up after a promo package of highlights, and HBK starts randomly talking about how cool he is, whatever. The Undertaker said he would lay HBK’s dream to rest, and random crap. This is boring to me. The two should just beat each other to hell like they did at In Your House Ground Zero, where the whole locker room had to come out and stop them from killing each other.

Oh yeah, THE WWE HAS FIRED KIZARNY!!! I just remembered that, Kizarn sucked, but man, WWE really lost money on that dude with lots of promo’s leading up to his debut.

JBL defeated C.M. Punk to win the Intercontinental Championship

Alright, our first match on the card was an Intercontinental battle between JBL and C.M. Punk. Wow, this match look good, and JBL was trying everything to work well with Punk. I hate how the WWE goes from Punk standing over a fallen JBL at the commercial break to being in the losers seat after the commercials are over. It’s a little too predictable at this point, which sours the match up a little. This is no fault of the competitors, but I wish the WWE would do something about that. The Tornado ddt was good, Punk nearly had JBL out after that move. Punk nearly knocked out JBL with a knee to the head and a a running bulldog, but JBL hit the Clothesline from Hell on C.M. Punk, nearly out of nowhere, and it was all over! JBL is the new Intercontinental Champion!

Randy Orton’s house was shown and Michael Cole interviewed him. This was a stupid segment and a waste of time. I was really expecting Triple H to show up, just like Stone Cold showed up at Brian Pillman’s house, but alas, it didn’t happen. I’m telling you, this was the worst thing I’ve seen on Raw in a long time.

Maryse defeated Melina

This was a terrible match up. A seriously terrible match; but afterwards there was an all out brawl with divas from Smackdown and Raw tearing it up in the ring, which was kind of cool, I guess.

There was a contract signing on Raw , and John Cena was added to the title match between Big Show and Edge. Things got weird when John Cena said that he loved Vickie Guerrero. It was really weird, and I tuned out a little bit. This is stupid and no one was laughing, at least I wasn’t. This is the weirdest twist, and left me stunned. I’m sickened that they would go through this story line. This is stupid, seriously stupid.

Then after all that weirdness, Cena showed a tape of Big Show kissing Vickie Guerrero. Weird. This is the worst segment of the night, what a terrible way to advance story lines.

Kofi Kingston defeated Chris Jericho in a money in the bank qualifying match

It’s good to see that Kofi Kingston is still employed. I was having my doubts after he got beat down at No Way Out. Jericho and Kingston put together an interesting match up, with a few spots, considering that there wasn’t a whole lot of time for this match up to develop. Chris Jericho had this match sewn up with Kofi Kingston in the Walls of Jericho and ready to tap out. Ric Flair showed up at the ramp and distracted Jericho, Kingston hit him with a huge roundhouse kick and it was over.

Once again we go to Randy Orton’s house…lame.

Koko B. Ware will be inducated into the WWE Hall of Fame. That was a good pick, that guy had some hops and one of the best drop kicks in the industry.

Rey Mysterio, Finlay, Christian defeated Miz & Morrison, and Kane

This match seemed very rushed, but it was ok. Christian is spot on, and I’m glad he’s back in the WWE. I hope they don’t just fire him sooner than later, that’s for sure. Overall, not a terrible match up, with some good overall spots; but this still seemed rushed and just slapped together to get more talent in on the night. Whatever the case is, the good guys win, and that’s that.

Rhodes & Dibiase defeated Triple H via forfeit

Triple H, didn’t show up for his match. So automatically the young guns get a paycheck for just being in the arena. Randy Orton was mad, via satellite.

WHAT THE HECK!

Triple H showed up at Randy Orton’s house with a sledgehammer, knocks down the door, then bum rushes the inside!!! This is just like the Stone Cold feud, and this was terrible. Screw you wwe, geez! Police show up as Randy Orton is on his front lawn getting beat up. Triple H gets arrested, what a load of crap.

This the worst ending to Raw since 1997, seriously, this is a load of crap, and a stupid way to put this feud over, stupid, stupid stupid. WWE has sunk to a new low.

WWE Monday Night Raw 2/23/09 Results and Review The Hunt

The show opened up with Vickie Guerrero announcing that she is now the official Raw General Manager. Man, she’s getting more screen time than Eddie Guerrero (rip) ever did. I guess that’s a good thing for her family, but what about the kids? Why doesn’t anyone think of the kids? Whatever. John Cena came down the ramp to interrupt, and the crowd wasn’t completely booing here, once again Cena is getting that fan favorite status because he’s working with people that have so much heat, that even he looks great to adult and smart fans. Edge came out to yell at Cena, after Cena wanted a title match for later in the night.

Who needs the wwe draft? Screw the draft, and just have the talent work both shows. It works each time, and with the champions going back and forth, the tag teams going back and forth, and so many different talented workers going both shows, this could be a great thing. It worked for wcw in the late 90’s, wwe could do it too; assuming they don’t implode. The wwe doesn’t follow it’s own set aside rules concerning the draft, so why even continue to have talent brand separation? It makes no sense right now, and the next match once again illustrates the point.

Cm Punk defeated The Miz & John Morrison in a triple threat match

Cm Punk basically fought a handicap match against the tag team champions. While I never agree with the tag champions losing in a math together, I accepted this one for wha it was, because both The Miz and Morrison were fighting each other to get the pin. The match had great spots featuring Punk getting the upper hand with double moves. Best spot was definitely the bulldog to clothesline combination he hit on miz and Morrison, great stuff indeed. Punk defeats both guys in this triple threat match and he’ll go on to wrestlemania and wrestle in the Money in the Bank match.

Melina & Cryme Tyme defeated Santino, Dolph Ziggler, and Beth Phoenix

This match started off a little slow, and overall it was ok. Ziggler seemed interesting, like a throwback to an older state of wrestling. He could go far just on looks alone, but not with that goofy gimmick. Santino wouldn’t tag in, which made for comical exchanges between him and Ziggler. Santino finally got tagged in and was taken out by one move…sadly. Santino is funny, but he needs some wrestling skills to back his mouth up.

Shawn Michaels defeated JBL

It was announced during this match up that the winner would face Kozlov next week on Raw. Once again proving that the WWE does NOT need a draft. The match was a solid wrestling match, nothing too unexpected though. These two guys have formulaic matches, and HBK is becoming the new age Ric Flair, doing nothing new. At least when Bret Hart used to wrestle the same match, he would mix it up a little, it seems that there is nothing new with HBK. It’s still entertaining, and this match was a little longer than usual. Good stuff overall, a little shallow, but that’s that.

Mike Knox defeated Jamie Noble

Jamie Noble lost to Mike Knox in 29 seconds. What a waste of time. Noble should quit the WWE.

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was announced for the WWE Hall of Fame.

After the announcement was made Chris Jericho jumped out to get on the mic and verbally abuse Ricky Steamboat. He called him a loser and got even more heat from the crowd. I’m not sure where this is going, but Jericho better bet leading up to a match with someone in the hall of fame….say…Macho Man Randy Savage? It will never happen, but I’d pay good money to see it, if Macho could wrestle. I heard his back is messed up though.

John Cena defeated Chavo Guerrero

Once again, why have a draft? Whatever. John Cena made easy work out of Chavo Guerrero. It’s a sad thing to see such a talented wrestler, get such a bad shake of things. Chavo is a glorified jobber. By having Cena defeat him so quickly proves that Chavo isn’t ready to capture the U.S title on Smackdown and further proves that the WWE hates cruiserweights. Sadly, one of the worst things that happened to Chavo was the death of Eddie Guerrero, because Chavo sucks now…tremendously sucks.

Like the old west, there was a showdown in the ring at the end of Raw. Triple H came out to ringside with a sledge hammer and a back up sledge hammer and ran down Randy Orton and his cronies to the back of the arena! They kept running and Triple H gave chase until they seemingly were cornered!

This thing gt into comical places as Orton and Dibiase were chased out their Limousine. Triple H broke some glass, chased the idiots, and they fled in a car. That was the end of Raw…nothing more nothing less.

What is this wcw 2000? Come on man…what a stupid story line. Just have them fight already! Remember the Macho Man DDP feud? That is what we need.

WWE No Way Out 2009 Results and Review Elimination Chambers

This month’s ppv was all hype and really debatable delivery. I opted NOT to go see it live even though it was in my home town. I just ordered the ppv, it would’ve been cheaper that way for me. So tonight, here is how it all went down!

Up first was the Smackdown main event, which was odd. I didn’t know that they would have the first chamber match up at the beginning, but apparently it is so.

Triple H defeated Edge, Kozlov, Jeff Hardy, and The Big show in a WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Edge started the match with Jeff Hardy. Hardy started fast and furious, getting the better of Edge, initiating the quick start that a ppv really should have. Jeff Hardy was quick, so quick that Edge got caught up in a school boy pin, and was eliminated! That’s right, Edge was eliminated immediately, and this promises that we will see an all new CHAMPION! That’s right, EDGE is eliminated early in the first elimination chamber match up.

Kozlov was the next guy in against Jeff Hardy. Kozlov immediately disabled a much tired Jeff Hardy. Hardy was obviously fatigued and was losing this one thanks to the Russian brawler. Hardy managed to turn the tables within the five minutes, and then out came The Big Show! That’s right, The Big Show came out and started to stomp the tired competitors out easily. He was throwing around Hardy like a ragdoll! Kozlov and Big Show was the best part of the middle of the match up. Kozlov was fighting Big show and showing that he had some chops. Triple H was the next guy in and started cleaning house right away. Things really picked up as a fresh Triple H was hitting everyone that was moving. Hardy was knocked out cold, and Triple H was on a road to winning by dropping everyone in the ring, and as Hardy tried to get in the mix he got a huge Lariat for his troubles. Undertaker came in shortly after this, and started to clear things up completely. He was killing it in there, and eventually dropped Kozlov off for the last ride and he was eliminated. Big Show took advantage after this and was taking out everyone. Jeff Hardy climbed to the top of one of the pods, and fell onto Big Show with a swanton, and Triple H pulled a cover out of it!

The final three were Undertaker, Jeff Hardy and Triple H!

I thought Jeff Hardy had this sewn up, but after a bad landing onto the Game who was on he outside, Undertaker delivered a monstrous Tombstone Piledriver to eliminate Hardy. The final two were The Undertaker and Triple H! I had money on Taker…just so you know. The two started off fast, and this was definitely a good bout. The Game had the early upper hand, but things spilled out onto the ramp, and then Triple H looked like he was going down with a HUGE Tombstone, but somehow, somehow he landed one leg on the ropes! That’s right, he got hit with a HUGE Tombstone, and I thought it was all over, but no…one foot on the rope stopped this thing. Moments later the Pedigree got hit! The Pedigree knocked out Taker but didn’t keep him down for the three count! Triple H then got a third or fourth wind, and after yet another Pedigree, Undertaker was pinned and our new champion is Triple H. That’s right, Triple H wins!

Randy Orton defeated Shane McMahon

The second match of the night was the Randy Orton Shane McMahon grudge match. Shane started things out fast, having Randy have to come back fast. The shots were not average, as Shane was working really stiff here. Shane McMahon had things going for him well with Randy Orton busted wide open, and McMahon getting ready to launch off the top rope. Legacy ran down and helped Orton, but it back fired quickly with Shane making a comeback. He climbed the third rope then flew for a huge elbow drop, but Orton moved and Shane McMahon took a huge bump trough the announce table! Later on in the match up, Randy Orton delivered a huge SuperPlex from the third rope through a table! That’s right, HUGE right through the table, breaking Shane in half. Still no pinfall though; McMahon got a second wind and started to hit Orton with a steel chair, and was set to punt the crap out of Orton’s head! He got a running start and ran straight into an RKO! Randy Orton then pinned McMahon and it was over. Hopefully we’ll see Vince take on Randy at Wrestlemania to get the ultimate revenge!

Jack Swagger defeated Finlay

This was a mil match up. It was very boring to say the least. It wasn’t all that great at all. It was a ground level technical match up, nothing too crazy here, which sucked the life out of the crowd. Swagger worked really hard though, and barely got out alive as Finlay had this sewn up with the Rolling Hills set up, but after a counter Swagger pinned Finlay and it was all over.

Shawn Michaels defeated JBL

JBL was in full charge over Shawn Michaels. HBK was getting really worked overall in this match up. Shawn was thrown outside the ring several times, and then his wife slapped JBL! A second wind got under the sails of HBK for the second half of this match up and he was looking like the old HBK! He was on fire and he was getting in good in this match up. He eventually hit sweet chin music and won! This match was formulaic and really lame. It wasn’t that great…trust me. HBK wins and this feud is hopefully over.

Edge defeated Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio Jr, Mike Knox, Kane, and John Cena

Kofi Kingston was suppose to be in this match up, but Edge ran down and knocked out Kofi Kingston! That’s right, Kofi Kingston was knocked out cold and Edge put himself into the World Championship Match Up!

Rey Mysterio and Jericho started things off in this match, and it wasn’t half bad. The two work well together, and things picked up greatly when Kane jumped in! Kane really pushed things once inside and was fresh, knocking around both Jericho and Rey Mysterio. Rey as climbing all over the cage and jumping some huge drops to hit people; that being said, he eliminated Kane! That’s right, Kane was eliminated by Rey Mysterio after a huge nearly twenty foot plunge of a seated senton! Nice work indeed, that’s for sure. The next person in was Mike Knox and he immediately went to work on Rey Mysterio. He nearly knocked him out right from the start, and then isolated him and Jericho. Chris Jericho randomly hit the code breaker on Mike Knox and eliminated him! That’s right, Jericho eliminated Mike Knox, and it left Mysterio and Jericho alone with Cena and Edge in the pods! After a few moments all participants were in! John Cena was hit with the Code Breaker, The 619, and a spear by edge, and was pinned! Cena is out, promising a new champion later on! Mysterio reversed The Walls of Jericho into a pin, and eliminated Chris Jericho! Edge and Rey Mysterio were the final two competitors in this match up! Rey Mysterio was trying everything to stay in this match including a reversed 619 to edge, some amazing results overall, but Edge somehow knocked out Rey Mysterio, and won via pinfall! That’s right, EDGE won the Raw side of things!

WWE Royal Rumble 2009 Results and Review Who Won The Rumble

Here we go, the first ppv from the Wwe this year and it is the fantastic event known as The Royal Rumble! What would go down and how would it go down? That’s all I could think about, and here is how it all occurred! Live from Detroit, Michigan

Jack Swagger defeated Matt Hardy

The show opened up with the ECW championship title. The crowd was definitely behind Matt Hardy in this one, but I didn’t think he would win this one. If you’re online a lot you might have read rumors that Hardy might be involved with Jeff Hardy’s misfortune. This match started a little slow, and it wasn’t anything insane to start with. Just a standard set up, which usually preludes a great second half of the match up. Hardy got a good position towards the middle of the match up, and created an interesting problem for Swagger. Hardy, however, couldn’t hold Swagger at bay too long and the All American American was showing that he wasn’t just a flash in the pan. Hardy hit a moonsault and I thought it was going to be all over, but it wasn’t, Swagger kicked out after a two count and that sucked the life out of the crowd, if only for a few minutes. Swagger hit the gut wrench suplex on Matt Hardy for the second win! Jack Swagger defeated Matt hardy yet again! Hardy loses to Jack Swagger!

Melina defeated Beth Phoenix for the Women’s Championship

Beth Phoenix looked to be the aggressor in this match up. She had Melina crawling towards the rope, early on in the match up, and really look dominant. If you missed it, Beth was hitting Melina’s head with her own foot! It was an odd, flexible attack, that you had to see to believe. The nd of this match came out of nowhere, when Beth Phoenix let her guard down for Melina to hit her with a roll up! Yep, a roll up! Lame. Phoenix spent most of the match working over Melina, only to lose the belt. Stupid.

John Cena defeated JBL

I don’t necessarily like John Cena, but JBl as champion? Come on! Cena was getting worked early on and Shawn Michaels looked like he was going to get involved in several times during the match, but stayed away for the most part. JBL looked good for once, and it was interesting to see him actually be good for once. I usually don’t like JBL but he was good overall in this match up! Weird, seriously, weird, he was the aggressor in this match up and John Cena was having a hard time keeping up with him initially. Cena mounted a huge comeback and was seriously pissed off at Shawn Michaels at some points during this match up. Michaels was being very subtle in his presence. JBL hit the CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL and John Cena managed to barely get a shoulder up during the two count. Shawn Michaels got in the ring during the ref bump, and was setting up Sweet chin music! He hit JBL hard in the face with the sweet chin music, nearly knocking JBL’s head off! Cena then had his back turned, and didn’t turn around for a while. HBK stood there and then hit John Cena with sweet chin music too! That’s righ, HBK hit both JBL and Cena with the sweet chin music! The crowd was a mix of boos and cheers, as people were in complete disbelief. JBL then was dragged by HBK on top of John Cena! A ref ran down for a TWO COUNT! The crowd erupted, I was rolling around, hoping for a victory soon, the match was getting really good! John Cena got the win though, and did you really think JBL would? Cena retains the title, surprise, surprise.

Edge defeated Jeff Hardy to win the WWE Championship

This match was held under No Disqualification rules. Edge has really done a great thing coming back at full force. He did a lot of good in this match up. Hardy tried his absolute best to keep Edge at bay, but Edge just kept coming back with more offense and more fight. Edge was on point in this match up and it was nice to see. Hardy, even with his many hits and misses, was able to get Edge floored several times. I also must note that Jeff Hardy came out with “el muerto” like face paint. Once the twist of fate hit on the apron, things got really out good. Hardy set up a ladder, Edge propped on a table, and Chavo tried to help stop the fall, and did. Hardy then pounced on Chavo, then threw him into the steel steps. He then propped Chavo onto a table and climbed the ladder! Hardy slipped on the ladder, and fell face first into Chavo breaking the table and practically killing Chavo. The match then got back into focus in the middle of the ring and Jeff Hardy tried to be the aggressor for a change. One thing I noticed in the closing moments of this match up was, that no one ever gets pinned after the Whisper in the Wind. Edge hit the impaler ddt on Hardy, and I thought it was all over! Hardy hit a facebuster suplex, then went to the top yet again but couldn’t finish off Edge. Hardy reversed the spear into the Twist of Fate! Vickie Guerrero came out and tried to help Edge, but it was to no avail. Hardy hit the swanton bomb! Vickie then pulled the ref! Matt Hardy then ran down and pushed Vickie into the ring! Matt then gave Jeff a Chair and told him to hit Edge! Matt then hit Jeff Hardy in the head with the steel chair! That’s right, MATT HARDY TURNED ON JEFF WITH A STEEL CHAIR TO THE HEAD! I kid you not! Matt Hardy helped Edge win the WWE Championship! MATT HARDY TURNED ON JEFF HARDY! Hardy lost the title after a major head shot to the face by Matt Hardy! The crowd was speechless.

Randy Orton won the 2009 Royal Rumble

***Note*** I can’t keep track of all the Entrants in the rumble, and can’t possibly give you the best review ever. But what I can do is two things. First and foremost the winner, I will give you the winner. Second, I will try to tell you the highlights including the number one and number 2 guy, and I will also give it my best shot to follow up with a proper review. Enjoy.

Rey Mysterio drew the number 1 pick. He was the number one entrant into the rumble.
John Morrison drew the Number 2 pick, and wasthe second entrant into the rumble.
Carlito Colon drew the number 3 pick, and was the third entrant into the rumble.
MVP drew the number 4 pick, and was fourth into the rumble.
The Great Khali drew the number 5 pick, and was fifth into the rumble.
Vladimir Kozlov drew the number 6 pick, and was sixth into the rumble.
Triple H drew the number 7 pick, and was seventh into the rumble.
Randy Orton drew number 8.
JTG drew number 9.
Ted Dibiase Jr. drew number 10.
Chris Jericho drew number 11.
Mike Knox drew number 12, his beard was number 12 and a half.
The Miz drew number 13, and his ego was 13 and a half.
Finlay drew number 14.
Cody Rhodes drew number 15.
The Undertaker drew number16.
Goldust drew number 17.
CM Punk drew number 18.
Mark Henry drew number 19.
Shelton Benjamin drew number 20.
William Regal drew number 21.
Kofi Kingston drew number 22.
Kane drew number 23.
R Truth drew number 24.
Rob Van Dam DREW NUMBER 25.
The Brian Kendrick drew number 26.
Dolph Ziggler drew number 27.
Santino drew number 28.
Jim Duggan drew number 29.
The Big Show drew number 30.

From this point further, I will be giving highlights to the rumble match, not play by play review.

Carlito looked amazing when he came into the match up. He was a house of fire, and he was making good on all of his high spots. MVP’s entry was great, the crowd was actually behind him. He thwarted a lot of god moves in the ring, only to get sucker punched by Carlito, but man, MVP was great in there. The great Khali came out and man, he was proving yet again that big men have an advantage in the royal rumble. Kozlov eliminated Khali right away, and then started working everyone in the ring at the time! Triple H stared down Kozlov when he came in and business was definitely about to pick up. The two men took center stage in this match up. Triple H eliminated Kozlov minutes after entering the rumble! I was surprised to see Randy Orton in the ring so soon. He immediately hit Triple H, creating an interesting fan reaction. I haven’t heard a crowd this hot for a Royal Rumble match since my favorite rumble, 1992. Chris Jericho’s entrance was great. He was cleaning house, dropping high spot after high spot, until Triple H met him, but that only prompted the Walls of Jericho! Then it got quiet again. No major eliminations to speak of. At about thirteen people in, we got the Miz attacking Triple H and winning? Weird. Just like the Diamond Cutter of old, we saw like eight RKO’s in this match up. Triple H hit the pedigree though to change things up. The Undertaker came charging through this math up, and started throwing people out left and right. Goldust came out and I was rooting for him! I wanted Goldust to win this one, or at least come back through for a change. He started to fight Cody Rhodes and nearly eliminated him! I hope we et a Cody Rhodes – Goldust feud sooner than later. Cody Rhodes eliminated Goldust. Triple H took the GTS! INSANE! THE GTS ON TRIPLE H! I was rooting like crazy for that one. Kofi Kingston hit like a trillion dropkicks. He was definitely looking fresh out there. It should be noted that Rey Mysterio was still in this match at this point. The Brothers of Destruction had a reunion of sorts and were hurting a bunch of people! ROB VAN DAM RETURNED! RVD RETURNED! RVD came in at this point, this is NOT a joke, RVD! Rob VAN DAM ROB VAN DAM! I kid you not, this was awesome, RVD came in with some educated feet and was not showing any ring rust at all! RVD, one leg went to Harvard the other went to Yale! RVD! Dolph Ziggler came and went, but not before introducing himself to Kane. Santino came in and was thrown out just as fast by Kane. Hilarious! Santino claimed that he wasn’t ready. Hacksaw Jim Duggan drew number 29 and the USA chants were amazing. He actually got some great offense in against Kane and the Undertaker. It looked amazing, and while Duggan hasn’t aged all that well, it was the feel good entry of this years Royal Rumble. I thought for sure that Christian Cage was going to be the number 30 entry in this year’s Royal Rumble, however, it just didn’t happen. It really didn’t happen, as Big Show was the number 30 entrant, and I was disappointed. I was really hoping to see Christian Cage make his debut in the Rumble. So that was it…30 men had entered and now it was just a matter of playing the waiting game. Hornswoggle showed up, and started biting Kane. Mysterio and Knox were eliminated at the same time. Finlay got tossed out, and things were not looking good for my pick for the winner. We got to see a Five Star Frog Splash! But then Chris Jericho threw him out, which prompted Undertaker to try and take out Jericho. Jericho hit the codebreaker, the Undertaker was reeling and Jericho ran after him, but BOOOM! Undertaker eliminates Chris Jericho! The Undertaker hit the chokeslam on every single member of priceless, including Orton. The most overused method to keep from getting eliminated was that old Shawn Michaels move! Everyone, including the Big Show was holding onto the top rope and not letting their feet touch. The final four people in this match were Orton, Cody Rhodes, Triple H, and Ted Dibiase Jr! That’s right, you read that right. Undertaker was pulled out by Big show, and it left a three on one handicap ending for the rumble! The final two were Triple H and Randy Orton, and after the smoke cleared Randy Orton won the royal rumble!

WWE Raw 12/29/08 Results and Review HBK Idiot

Instead of getting a match opening this episode of Raw opens up with Rey Mysterio in the ring. He asks for a match with Shawn Michaels, and HBK accepts! However, JBL comes out and tells him that HBK no longer can answer for himself. Amidst Rey Mysterio talking and trying to get HBK to return back to the ring, Mike Knox came out and beats the crap out of him, proving yet again that the WWE hates Rey Mysterio. John Cena comes out to save him, and Knox runs away like a coward.

CM Punk defeated Cody Rhodes

Apparently, if Rhodes didn’t win he’d be out of the new Orton stable that is forming. Cm Punk was really putting on a desperate attempt to win against punk. Punk didn’t look so good. He had his arm taped up, and you could visibly see a bruise on his leg from previous matches where he got hit hard. Cm Punk launched himself head first onto the outside and hit his head really hard on the announce table, which was interesting to say the least. William Regal distracted Punk and Rhodes jumped into the ring for a count out victory. Not exactly the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. But I guess you just have to go with it.

Melina won a divas battle royal

The winner of this match would get a women’s title match. This match was short, and it was basically an over the top rope affair. Melina won after throwing out Mickie James. This match up was boring to say the least, nothing really happened until after the match was over. Melina and Beth Phoenix started fighting on the announce table, which was kind of cool. Beth Phoenix’s biggest fan jumped out of the audience and helped Beth out, but was thrown out by security.

Sim Snuka defeated Charlie “Superfly” Haas

Sim Snuka basically beat the crap out of Haas for coming out dressed as his father Jimmy Snuka. This match was a jobber show, and while Haas did get some minor offense in there, it wasn’t all that great at all. Snuka is better here than when he was part of that greaser gimmick on Smackdown, but not by much. Haas went for the superfly flash but man, Snuka put his knees up and Haas really took a beating, it was bad. He had to have all the wind knocked out of him. Snuka beats Haas yet again.

John Cena, Cryme Tyme, Rey Mysterio Jr, and Kofi Kingston defeated Kane, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz & John Morrison, and Mike Knox

This match started out with such great momentum. Kofi Kingston was putting on a show as usual, and this time he seemed to a have a little more control than usual. He was in there doing all the best high spots, and proving yet again that he very well maybe the next big thing. We then went to commercial, and you could telegraph what would happen on the return. Yep, Rey Mysterio was getting beat up by the monster team, and they were tagging in and out, basically proving my comments that the wwe hates rey mysterio. Mysterio hit the reverse hurricanrana on Morrison and the crowd went nuts! He then tagged in John Cena and the champ started to clean house, and this match just turned into high spot heaven. Cena was hitting anything that moved and for once the crowd was fully behind him. John Cena hit the FU on Mike Knox and then tagged in Rey Mysterio to finish him off! Mysterio hit the splash and it was all over!

Matt Hardy defeated Manu

Manu put in some great effort in this match up. He was giving it his all and Matt Hardy just proved to be too much for the second generation superstar. The match was alright for the most part, Hardy was taking a beating for the most part of this match up, and was on rails to lose this one but Manu got hit with the Twist of Fate out of nowhere and boom; Manu loses this one and is possibly going to get kicked out of Legacy, the new Orton stable.

Jbl defeated Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels

You couldn’t get this match to be any more emotional at the end. This match was good, it had a lot of moments with great position and strategy. I was hoping for Chris Jericho to win, but he was eliminated early on. Orton stuck around towards the end, but didn’t last through an HBK sweet chin music. It came down to JBL and HBK and JBL ordered his employee to lay down, but HBK couldn’t do it. This was full of tense moments and nothing happened, just the two people staring at each other and things were not looking good for the heart break kid. Shawn eventually, after a long drawn out pause, laid down for JBL. The last time I saw someone lay down for anyone was in WCW when Kevin Nash laid down for Hulk Hogan after the one finger of doom, that was classic. Or maybe Hogan laid down again in 2001, I don’t remember all that well, I think it was 2000 actually. Either way, Shawn Michaels couldn’t lay down so he asked for the Clothesline from Hell and JBL obliged with hellacious force knocking our HBK and wins a title shot thanks to HBK basically throwing the match. This was tense folks, I can’t explain it any better, it was very tense.

Overall a good raw, nothing too crazy, and just good overall wrestling, I liked it this week.

WWE Raw 12/22/08 Review and Results

Here we go, we start the show with Santino and it’s hilarious, great intro, awesome show, I’m juiced on caffeine.

Shawn Michaels defeated Kane

This would have been a ppv match up few years back, but now several years after both wrestlers are in their prime, they are the curtain jerkers on this edition of Raw. This match was very short and really didn’t have a whole lot to offer in terms of good wrestling. There were a few counters but overall nothing crazy, your standard Kane match here. HBK looked really strong upon applying the crippler crossface, and eventually landed Sweet Chin Music for the win against the big read machine Kane.

Kofi Kingston defeated Manu

Kingston is way too sloppy in the ring, he was missing a lot of steps, over working and moving way too fast. Manu looked poised to capitalize on a mistake as he caught Kofi coming off the top rope and was set to deliver a Samoan drop, but what happened next was shocking as Kofi pulled Manu over for a three count!

Mickie James and Melina defeated Jillian and Layla

Once again, your standard Divas match up. There were a lot of quick spots in here, but overall it wasn’t all that great. It’s just boring to me really. Mickie James’s leg was isolated but overall this match up had nothing to offer. Unless you’re looking for some good eye candy, which you had a little bit, but not much with Melina’s stupid looking outfit. What a horrible match, the more I think about the more I hate the wwe divas.

JBL defeated Rey Mysterio Jr.

I’m not really too excited with the preliminary matches to see who is going to the Rumble or whatever they are doing with these matches. They just seem boring to me. Case in point this match up between JBL and Mysterio. These two have had a storied past and it just isn’t all that great to me. JBL seemed to have scouted Mysterio well and Mysterio seems to be losing steam in his career, he’s gotta stop fighting the bigger man. I hope that the wwe will once again make a cruiserweight division, because Rey can’t possibly be risking his life with power moves from guys that obviously don’t care for his well beling, like JBL. This match was given a whole lot of time, and HBK saved the day as Rey Mysterio seemed poised on winning this match up. HBK caused Mysterio the match up, which was odd, considering the track record with wwe and their interference clauses. Oh well, JBL wins.

Chris Jericho defeated Cm Punk

This match had my attention, as the two are my personal favorites in the WWE riht now. Chris Jericho is just amazing still, he’s got so much experience in the ring, and he never seems to be too jacked or on the juice. Cm Punk also is good and he hasn’t lost a step since moving into the wwe style of wrestling, as Jericho complimented his moves well, countering some, and taking some stiff kicks to the body and even the head. This match turned into a war after a stiff kick to the head of Jericho, and the Canadian fans were 100% behind Chris Jericho! The beginning of the end happened with a running bulldog from Jericho, and all signs pointed to the Lionsault, but was countered right into the GTS and Jericho countered with THE WALLS OF JERICHO! Cm punk was in the Walls for a very long time, and eventually got out of them, while Jericho looked poised to get them back on, Punk hit him with a high knee and this match was really looking like ppv quality! Cm Punk leaped off the top rope and Jericho caught him in mid-air for THE CODEBREAKER and Jericho wins this match clean! Amazing match, three to four stars folks, this ending was insane; Codebreaker to Cm Punk whom was coming off the top rope!

Randy Orton, Jbl, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho will meet in a fatal fourway next week, the winner gets John Cena for the belt at the Royal Rumble.

John Cena and Trish Stratus defeated Santino and Beth Phoenix

This match was awesome, only because Trish Stratus hasn’t missed a step! She’s thinner and she’s just as good in ring. She’s awesome! I marked out like a school girl when she came out, and she did a great job! Great stuff, oh man, great stuff, even if I don’t like Cena all that much. John Cena is still halfway over, but he needs a heel turn bad.

WWE Tribute To the Troops 12/20/08 Results and Review

This is the greatest thing that the WWE does every year. I’m glad to support WWE and that they support The Troops!

Jeff Hardy, Cm Punk, and R-Truth defeated JBL, John Morrison, and The Miz

If you’re a fan of wwe, you’ve already seen this match before. The normal spots were done, and the bad guys really focused on Punk, isolating him in the match up. Hardy was the one that really shined, as he is the champion now, and he really pushed his high spots, making the crowd cheer like crazy! The match ended with a swanton bomb on JBL and the pinfall victory was his. Good overall match because the troops are so into these guys, it’s so cool.

John Cena, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Batista defeated The Big Show, Randy Orton and Chris Jericho

The troops are one hundred percent behind John Cena in this match. Batista and Orton started this one, and I must say that Orton is really skinny, skinnier than he’s ever been. A scuffle between the heels caused Big Show to basically walk out on his team, after knocking out Jericho and Orton. This caused John Cena to tag in and get the troops riled up with several of his greatest and best moves. The end came with a dual FU and a Batista Bomb! That’s right, both men delivered their finishers at the same time, and picked up the win!

WWE Raw 11/3/08 Review and Results 3 hour Raw

I was under the impression that the 800th episode of Raw was done a few weeks back, but apparently it is this one? I don’t know. 3 hours of raw though, and some huge matches, I was a tad bit excited for this one, and here’s how it all went down:

Randy Orton started the show, and he was planning on quitting if someone doesn’t come out and fire Mike Adamle. He then sits down and waits. I think it’s stupid, but what do I know?

The Hardys defeated MVP & The Kendrick

This was an interesting match up, at least initially. I couldn’t believe that they would team up Kendrick with a downward falling MVP, but they went for it, and we all had to just watch. The match went through a lot of motions and The Hardys made it work well, and won. This was the standard Hardys match up with them doing their traditional move set and MVP jobbing once again. This was entertaining, but it wasn’t all that great, it was just another Hardys match to me and didn’t mean a whole lot to the grand scheme of things.

Ted Dibiase, Jamie Noble, Manu, Shad, JTG, Snitsky, and William Regal in an 8 Man Battle Royal (winner gets Intercontinental title shot)

A quick over the top rope match up, with Ted Dibiase throwing out his own partners! The other highlight was Regal and Jamie Noble beating the crap out of each other. JTG was hanging on by a thread with near falls over the top rope, but skating by each time, eventually William Regal threw out Shad and Ted Dibiase, out of nowhere and won the match up, and now Regal will face Santino next week in his home town of Manchester, England! This match was terrible. However, a Regal title shot in his home town would be interesting for next week indeed.

Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon showed up on Raw! Shane McMahon forces Randy Orton to wrestle tonight against CM Punk, and Mike Adamle quits Raw.

Vladimir Kozlov defeated Charlie “Hitman” Haas

Charlie Haas comes out dressed as one of my all time favorite wrestlers, and it’s not that great. I don’t like it, but oh well. Kozlov wins this throwaway match up. What a stupid way to get Kozlov over, this isn’t 1998, we don’t need the old Goldberg gimmick. Oh well. He wrestles Undertaker this week, so that should be interesting.

Degeneration X defeated Miz and Morrison

Was this the passing of the tag team torch? Not really, while Miz and Morrison are still one of the better tag teams in the WWE right now, they still lack the charisma and fan disproval that they are seeking. The match favored Triple H and Shawn Michaels, naturally and things were just not that great. This was a very predictable match, considering we’ve seen this version of Degeneration X a lot in the last few years, and while Miz and Morrison might be rising stars, they aren’t going to win this one easily at all, and were taking punishment left and right. Triple H was definitely taking liberties. The Miz and Morrison did turn the match around a couple of times in the match up, but it was short lived to say the least. Two or three moves later Triple H delivers the Pedigree on the Miz and it’s all said and done, Triple H holding down the roster in this tag team match up. It wasn’t even close.

Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, Layla, Katie Lea Burchill, Jillian, Maryse, Natalya, Victoria & Lena Yada defeated Mae Young, Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, Eve, Brie Bella & Tiffany.

There are too many divas to mention, but there were 16 divas involved in this match including Mae Young. This match was lame, too much going on, and not enough experience to cover the amount of in ring performances needed. Mae Young got involved in this match up and she was chopping the crap out of Beth Phoenix! Mae Young then gives some of the weakest left hands I’ve ever seen, and then takes a major tumble, but recovers easily. Mae Young was throwing people out of the ring, and eventually lost to a Beth Phoenix roll up! This was another throwaway match up!

Randy Orton vs. Cm Punk (no contest)

I thought the WWE would give us this match on a major ppv event, not just a random Raw. Well, three hour raw is a lot bigger than usual, but this match never really ended. Rany Orton was clearly going to win this match up and Ted Dibiase ran in for the interference. This prompted Randy Orton to run and kick the crap out of Ted Dibiase, knocking him out completely. Randy Orton then left the ring. This match was going poorly for CM Punk, so there was no apparent reason for Ted Dibiase to run out there. What a waste of time….however, will Randy Orton turn face? Can we get a heel Cena too?

The Undertaker defeated JBL

I can’t believe they threw this match up too; The Undertaker looked strong against JBL, as he should have. JBL didn’t look so hot in this match, and it looks like he’s lost some weight. Undertaker took control early on, but was thwarted by a JBL lariat, and then JBL went to work on the dead man. I didn’t mind this match so much, these two big guys really put on a decent match up, even if it once again was shorter than usual. The Undertaker won this match up out of nowhere against JBL with the tombstone piledriver. It just seemed like too short of a match up. Shawn Michaels threw JBL into the ring, as JBL was planning on leaving the match, and we get Taker winning on Raw!

Kung Funaki, Goldust, Jesse and Festus, Boogeyman, Michael Cole, Sgt. Slaughter, Dusty Rhodes, Lillian Garcia, Teddy Long, and Hornswoggle had a dance party in the middle of the ring. Prompting Ron Simmons to come out and say; “DAMN!”

Kane & Mark Henry defeated Rey Mysterio & World Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston

The monsters once again look dominant as they started this match against Rey Mysterio. Mysterio got some quick offense in, using his speed as an advantage, but it seemed that Kane wasn’t having it as he stopped Mysterio in his tracks, with ease. Mark Henry got in and once again he was putting on a show against Mysterio. The Great Khali came out and attacked Kane out of nowhere! He then got into the ring and attacked Mark Henry! Not exactly sure why? Mysterio then delivered the 619 on Mark Henry who then walked into a huge chop from the Great Khali, and this match never really ended as far as I can tell.

Chris Jericho defeated Batista in a World Heavyweight Championship Cage Match

Your standard cage match here, and almost the same match that Jericho had with CM Punk. It looked as though Jericho was timing it so that he could win the world title by falling out of the cage and at one point almost fell out completely, had he not held onto the fence. Jericho took it to Batista for the most part, having more offense than Batista. The Highlight for me was, Batista missing the spear and ramming himself right into the side of the cage head first nearly losing the match up. Batista got up and caught Jericho trying to climb out, but right outside the door, and this was a setup for the end, Chris Jericho then got into the ring and tried his hardest to avoid the Batista Bomb, eventually freeing himself. Jericho was nearly out of the ring again, but Batista grabbed him and it looked like we’re getting a super batista bomb, but Jericho grabbed a steel ring from the cables that hold the Cage in place and busted Batista open the hard way! This became a classic when Jericho came down first against Batista! Seriously, Chris Jericho once again is the world champion, and Batista was left in the ring a bloody mess! That’s right, Chris Jericho defeated Batista in a cage match to win the World Heavyweight Title!

WWE Raw 10/27/08 Review and Results

Chris Jericho opened the show, and he looked pissed! Of course we would get fallout from yesterdays ppv…and some epic matches…I hoped…Here is what went down.

Jericho & Batista will fight next week in a Steel Cage match for the world title!

Mike Adamle got a verbal lashing by Randy Orton! Adamle then punched Randy Orton, Orton threatened to quit if Adamle wasn’t fired next week!

This opening wasn’t half bad. I would have preferred wrestling, but something is going to happen between the two. Expect an Orton Adamle match sooner than later, or at least Adamle as ref or enforcer. Adamle really did look mad, and I thought Orton was going to knock him out, but instead he walked away like a wuss. The crowd was insane going with the “You Suck” chant, my personal favorite.

Kofi Kingston & Cm Punk defeated Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes (tag team title match)

Punk and Kingston were working well as a team and the announcers kept stressing that they could win the world tag titles in this match up. They really had team Priceless getting worked. It was a good match overall with Kingston and Punk really working over the champions, and the champs just looked like they didn’t prepare at all for this match up. Kingston and Punk had the crowd squarely behind them as they really tried to work over the champions. We then cut to commercial…and on the return from the break the team of Rhodes and Dibiase were in full control of CM Punk. This was a good part of the match, the tag champs didn’t rely on a lot of rest holds as usual, and really started to put the boots onto Kingston and Punk. They also did a lot of quick tags so that you didn’t get bored and the Crowd was firmly behind the good guys in this match up. It wasn’t boring at all, and we had a few surprise near falls by Kingston who was taking the majority of the punishment near the end of this match up. Punk got the hot tag and things really got exciting. The team then decimated the tag champions and Punk went through his moves and right when Dibiase was to land his move, Punk held onto the ropes and then delivered the GTS for the win! Kofi Kingston and CM Punk are your NEW World Tag Team Champions!

My only problem with this match is that the new champions are a “hot shot” team. This is NOT a tag team it’s simply two singles wrestlers the wwe threw together. I hate when they do this to the titles. Oh well, it was an exciting match up.

Goldust, Roddy Piper, and Honky Tonk Man were doing color commentary for the next match!

Santino vs. Charlie “Glamahaas” Haas (no contest)

Charlie came out dressed as Beth Phoenix, and paid for it as Santino started the match immediately fighting Haas. He then slapped The Honky Tonk man, that prompted the former IC champs to rush the ring, and Santino got hit in the head with a Honky Tonk Man Guitar! The champion was knocked out cold! The match was then thrown out!

Great segment, hilarious! It’s great to see The Honky Tonk man NOT job to Santino!

Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, and Candice Michelle defeated Layla, Katie Lea, and Jillian Hall

Another boring six man tag match. (I should say woman) This match was predictable and short. I didn’t even enjoy it, as by the time I started to really pay attention to this match up it was over. Who cares about the divas? Not me.

Rey Mysterio defeated Evan Bourne

I can’t believe they gave this away for free. This match seemed to be something that ppv matches are made out of. Mysterio was the one that looked bad in this match, although the two did end up getting into a stale mate of sorts, knowing exactly where the next move was coming from. The two were really challenged and you really didn’t know who was going to take this match. Evan Bourne took control with Mysterio making subtle mistakes and Bourne capitalizing. Mysterio however was right there to block some major offense, and eventually connected with The 619! I thought for sure this thing was over but Evan Bourne went for a rolling pin, but Rey countered for the clean victory! Match of the week already! This match was great, Mysterio really looked impressive against a younger Evan Bourne. This won’t be the last time we see these two wrestle against each other, I’m sure as these guys put together a good looking fast paced cruiserweight match up. WWE should bring back the Cruiserweight championship and put it on Evan Bourne, as he and Mysterio went to work for real!

Post match Kane came out to attack Rey and Bourne jumped in, the two lightweights went to work on Kane and Kane was really taking a beating for once! Mark Henry then came out and the two giants took Mysterio and Bourne and beat the crap out of them. I hate when this happens. I hate that the smaller wrestler always has to wrestle someone three times his size, and then get killed. I am a big fan of David and Goliath style matches, but this is getting ridiculous, I’m sorry, this is just stupid to me.

Batista & Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Jericho & JBL

Batista wrestled both JBL and Jericho in this match and he was doing alright for himself. The champion was holding his own against Jericho mainly, and JBL just watched in the corner as Batista tried to make this match somewhat memorable. Jericho and JBL however made sure that Batista was not going to be 100% next week during his cage match as they really took advantage of the rules in this one and were landing all sorts of stiff shots when the ref was distracted. This match wasn’t too bad, as Batista’s power moves were nice in comparison to the previous match of high spots and in ring acrobatics. Jericho was thrown into the announcers table, as JBL was looking on the outside, and Batista looked great at the break. Of course when the break was over Batista was getting worked again. He looked to be in trouble during this match and rightfully so, as he was taking on two opponents. However, Shawn Michaels came down the ramp and got into this match up. He didn’t do a whole lot, but he helped Batista to get the pin!

Overall, this edition of Raw wasn’t half bad. I liked it. However, there were a lot of dead spots in this night of wrestling. Maybe next week’s 3 hour show will be better. As for other WWE programming, I’m really looking forward to the Smackdown show as it will feature a Casket Match! I can’t wait for that. It’s like 1998 all over again!

WWE Raw 10/6/08 Results and Review

I was at the Key Arena last night for Raw in person! Lillian Garcia looks amazing, wow, she’s hot. The arena was near capacity, but it’s a small place. I was on tv, sitting next to the Filipino flag that was being held up in front of the hard camera. The place was great, the show was awesome, and Jericho looked really tore up, as did HBK. The divas aren’t as bad as they look on television, and their wrestling matches were enjoyable in person, of course I recorded Raw and here is my review…I will also drop in notes from what I saw at the show, and those notes will be in italics for you to notice.

Dark Match #1

Dolph Ziggler defeated Charlie Haas (Dressed as Roddy Piper)

This match was cool for the live crowd, I thought Roddy Piper was really going to show up, but instead it was Charlie Haas. A good bit of comedy happened, and it wasn’t half bad, and Ziggler gets the pin, although it was really ugly. He reversed the Sleeperhold via kicking off the top rope, however, it just didn’t work out well, and Haas lost anyways.

Jericho’s opening speech was cool, and his face really looked messed up, even from where I was sitting (11 rows from the ring) and Batista’s spear was really effective, from my standing point.

Santino & Beth Phoenix defeated Mickie James & Jamie Noble

Santino showing off his Oklahoma Thunder shirt really hurt us in Seattle, considering that we lost the Sonics to Oklahoma. Santino got booed out of the building, and I lost my voice booing so much!

This match was quick, and easy. Beth Phoenix is amazing in person, she’s built and she’s not bad on the eyes either. The match was fast, and I nearly missed the finish, with Santino rolling up Jamie Noble after being distracted by the glamazon. Afterwards, Santino was chased by Noble only to get William Regal involved and nearly dismantle noble with blows. The crowd started chanting “Fight, Fight, Fight” and eventually the ref stopped the onslaught, as Regal really looked upset.

HBK’s segment initial cheers, but in the arena all eyes were on Noble and Regal in the arena.

Ted Dibiase Jr. defeated Kofi Kingston

Kofi got a moderate pop in the arena, and Priceless got nearly nothing, and it almost seemed like no one cared. C.M. Punk got a huge ovation when he came out, and was definitely more over than anyone else at ringside during this match up.

This match was swift, these two guys are really good in ring. Live things look a lot better, and I can’t believe how high Kofi Kingston can jump. He really gives it all, and reminds me of a non drug using RVD. Ted Dibiase’s finisher is awesome, and when he slapped on the Million Dollar Dream, I was cheering, that’s for sure. Ted Dibiase wins with his combination Million Dollar Dream/ Russian Leg Sweep, which is not a bad finisher if you ask me.

Mark Henry & Kane defeated Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio Jr.

Hardy got a great pop, Rey not so much. The heels weren’t exactly too hated, and while there was a lot of boo’s there wasn’t nearly as much as I thought there would be. In fact, there was a lot of fan fare for Kane. Hardy got the best pop out of the four men.

This match was interesting, seeing Hardy work on Mark Henry’s leg. It was also cool to see Rey Mysterio’s onslaught in this match. He looked good out there, and was good at selling last night’s chair shot to the head. He didn’t miss a step live, and I was impressed with all four men, as this match was really entertaining to me. Kane won this match with a chokeslam on Hardy as Rey Mysterio was outside the ring. Hardy was knocked off the top rope via Rey Mysterio’s accidental bump, and Kane capitalized. The cheers sound louder on television then they were in the arena, that’s for sure. Great fast tag team match, and it was nice to see.

HBK Shawn Michaels defeated Lance Cade

HBK got a huge ovation, but nearly no reaction for Lance Cade. People went nuts for the ending to this match up.

Lance Cade and HBK put on a mediocre match, and it was interesting to see the way this one unfolded, considering that Shawn Michaels had a hell of a match last night. The table spot was too fast, and was just filler, in my opinion. The match really needed more “no dq” action as this match was supposedly no dq. Shawn Michaels won this one with a million chair shots to Lance Cade. That was about it, Cade really didn’t look good in this match, and I’m surprised that he didn’t win this one. Oh well.

The Great Khali’s segment was lame. Him running off the Jackass show was stupid to me. Inviting Johnny Knoxville to raw will only have Knoxville getting beat up. Sad. Lillian getting kissed by Khali made me a little jealous, haha, she’s hot.

Kelly Kelly defeated Jillian

These girls actually put on a good show in person. I liked the divas in wwe for once in my life. I can’t believe this! I usually hate the divas too, but seeing them perform live, gave me a new found respect for them. This match was the standard divas match with Kelly winning in the end.

Post match Cryme Tyme was dancing in ring with Kelly and invited Michael Cole off camera. On commentary Cryme Tyme, Miz and Morrison, Cole, and The King weren’t paying any attention to the match and were just passing along insults and it was distracting on television.

Batista defeated JBL

Batista defeated JBL in a pretty cool match up. JBL didn’t look as fat as he usually looks, and I was actually impressed with him. Batista is huge in person, HUGE!

This match was cool, Jericho refused to count Batista’s pinfall attempt, and it was great stuff. Throwing in Regal, and having him interfering in the match was great stuff. Also, having Randy Orton at ringside really didn’t do a whole lot besides him looking stupid. Jericho got knocked outside of the ring, a new ref came down, I saw Adamle come out to the ramp, and Batista wins this one in a lot of excitement! I marked out huge for Batista, because I’m a little kid I guess.

Dark Match #2 Batista & Rey Mysterio defeated Kane & Chris Jericho

Those of us in the arena got a real treat to see this dark match. Batista and Rey Mysterio defeated Kane and Jericho in a spotfest, quick match. It was cool to get something special at the end, and the wrestlers really put on a little extra entertainment for the live crowd.

All in all, being in the Arena makes things so much better, I really loved this Raw, and while it didn’t feel the same to watch it on television, it was amazing to see in person.
