TNA Impact 7/22/10 Results

Aj Styles defeated Rob Terry For the Global Title
Taylor Wilde & Angelina Love defeated Sarita & Madison Rayne
Kurt Angle defeated Super Mex
Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe fought to a time limit draw
Mr. Anderson defeated Matt Morgan
Beer Money defeated The Motor City Machine Guns in a street fight

TNA Impact 7/22/10 Review

The show opened up yet again with another promo of Abyss and it sucked. I hated it. It's stupid. ABYSS IS THE WORST TNA WRESTLER EVER! FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS FOR PROMOTING ABYSS!

FIRE ALL THE TNAWRITERS FOR THIS ECW invasion.....man, I'm so tired.

Extreme Invitation is the name of the show....I'm tired. Argh!

Aj Styles defeated Rob Terry For the Global Title

I know a lot of people hate Rob Terry, but I like him. I like that he's jacked and a freak. I like how others can really “bump” to his move set, which is really powerful. It's all run and gun not much else. I like it. Kaz was at ringside, and Styles was having a hard time with Terry early on. Terry was throwing AJ around quite well and I liked it. I like the throwback to simpler wrestling times with larger than life muscular wrestlers. Styles won after reversing a suplex and getting Kaz to hold Terry's leg. Not a bad ending, but not a great match up either. I liked it, it just wasn't insane.

Taylor Wilde & Angelina Love defeated Sarita & Madison Rayne

**Earl Hebner told Angelina Love that she was no longer the Knockouts Champion since they couldn't prove who was the one that interfered. No one cares about that title.

This match was interesting to me, only because I like Taylor Wilde...i'd “hit dat” if you know what I mean. Just sayin. Alright, this match was your standard match up featuring the women. It had less botches than usual, and there were a few nice spots. Sarita has some skills that's for sure, and the only highlight was seeing Sarita and Taylor Wilde try to put on some legit wrestling. I was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction, but oh well. Aneglina Love won this match, but it wasn't great.

Post match, the Motorcycle Rider showed up, helped the beautiful people and then left with Sarita, the Motorcycle girl and Taylor Wilde. Whatever.

Kurt Angle defeated Super Mex

Super Mex had this match won at several moments in the match. There were some sick moves shown here, and Hernandez looked really confident at different stages but out of nowhere Angle started to show signs of life. He hit the Angle Slam and this one looked like yet another win for Angle. Angle missed the moonsault which was interesting, and even though I knew who the winner would be, I was intrigued to see how much offense Hernandez got in before Angle squeeked by yet another ranked wrestler. Hernandez eventually tapped out to the Ankle Lock Submission.

Kevin Nash was in ring and wanted to talk to Jeff Jarrett. The two squared off with mic's in the ring.

Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe fought to a time limit draw

Samoa Joe was dominant for a good part of this match. For whatever reason, Jeff hardy continues to get put into ppv caliber match ups, but isn't given nearly enough time to make it interesting. Joe is interesting to watch, when there's a reason to, but right now, I don't care. WHO KIDNAPPED SAMOA JOE???? WHO KIDNAPPED HIM? I don't care. Hardy sucks. This match was half-speed for a lot of moments. Joe was able to maintain a good sense of in-ring presence and this match was given a time limit so it was interesting to see if the two were trying to just match the limit. The guys ended up fighting each other fast towards the end and they fought to a 15 limit draw.

I liked that they fought to a limit. That'll set up a future ppv match up, for sure.

Mr. Anderson defeated Matt Morgan

Mr. Anderson fought the near 7 footer in this match and looked like he was going down for the count. I thought for sure Morgan was going over here, but after a few minutes of Anderson playing hurt, he eventually hit the Mic Check and this thing was over.

Matt Morgan knocked out Anderson with the mic and bloodied him. Morgan sucks now.

Beer Money defeated The Motor City Machine Guns in a street fight

I'm sick of these two teams, I'm sorry. The guys brawled in a street fight match up and I liked it. I like street fights, so I went with it. The Machine Guns were fighting a good fight overall but beer Money stole the match after using the broken beer bottle and a super kick. I liked it. I liked several key big moves and tandem moves, alongside the cheating ways of Beer Money, now if only there were more teams to give the division a little more depth.

Dixie Carter was in ring with a mic and out came the former ECW guys and Mick Foley.

Dixie on the mic sucks....argh...the old-ass ecw guys are just old...it's kind of pathetic to see, just sayin. This was stupid, and I was yawning so hard...no one cares about these ecw guys, no one cares! Come on! FIRE ALL THE TNA WRITERS!

So, apparently there will be a one night stand? Or something? I don't know, the ending didn't make sense to me.

TNA Impact 7/8/10 Results and Review

TNA Impact 7/8/10 Results

Kazarian defeated Aj Styles
Angelina Love defeated Daffney
Rob Van Dam defeated Samoa Joe
Jeremy Buck defeated Douglas Williams In a Ladder Match
Beer Money & Matt Morgan defeated The Motor City Machine Guns & Hernandez
Ken Anderson defeated Jeff Hardy

TNA Impact 7/8/10 Review

Another week down of impact, I wasn't looking forward to it, but I was curious about a few things, specifically whether the ECW invasion was for sure going to happen, and that's the only thing that kept me motivated to watch and review yet another week of impact wrestling.

The show started with Anderson in the ring talking about how he didn't mean to hit Jeff Hardy last week. Jeff Hardy, getting fatter each episode of Impact came out and Anderson told him that later tonight that if Hardy uses the chair on him, there's a problem, and if Anderson hits Hardy with a chair, once again there's a problem. I know, it's confusing. I'm almost caring about it...almost.

Styles was backstage talking to some random person in a backstage segment. Hardy cut a promo, I guess? Man, these backstage segments are lame.

Kazarian defeated Aj Styles

First of all, they announced that there is a 10 minute time limit! 10 MINUTES!? Really? What is this? WCW light? Remember the time limit draws for the Television title? Those were cool, right? This match could've been saved for a ppv, but instead it was all business. Styles came down without his regular entrance, he came in throwing offense and Kaz was definitely stunned. This was pure action to start the match, and the Ref was having a hard time getting control, but it slowed down and settled into another standard match up. Kaz hit an amazing drop kick to the midsection of Aj Styles. If you missed it, you MISSED IT! I was stunned, he hit a drop kick, mid level and hit styles in the stomach, Styles FLEW back just like a stunt man would do in a film, it was insane, and while it was just a little moment to concentrate on, I was completely impressed, for the first time, with Kaz. The match spilled out onto the floor and the two got counted out! A double count out finish, that's that.

Angelina Love defeated Daffney

I like Daffney, she's hot, Angelina love has the body of a barbie doll and a fat head. Aside from looks, the two women tried to wrestle, and while the start of the match showed a bit of technical flare, the majority of this match was standard Knockout moves. Clothesline here, botch there, clothesline, dead crowd, and just lackluster. It's painfully obvious that the division needs better writing and wrestlers. This was just amateur hour, some of the worst women's wrestling going today. Angelina Love won this terrible match, and if you missed it, good for you!

I'm not sure what's worse, Angelina Love's fat head or her wrestling skills.

This sunday there will be a Career Match for the TNA Knockout's Championship. This is basically telegraphing the winner....I think.

Ink Inc and Devon were in ring, and Brother Devon started trying to get some answers from Bubba Ray about what is going on with Jesse Neal. Bubba was on the mic basically talking about splitting up Team 3D, in so many words. I'm already tired with this segment...so tired. I guess Bubba will feud with Devon and Jesse Neal. Jesse Neal will face Bubba Ray and Devon in a triple threat match. Not sure why...but ok, I guess.

Remember when Samoa Joe was kidnapped? We still have no answer to what happened. He did lose a few pounds, but what does it matter now?

Rob Van Dam defeated Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe can be dangerous, and I'm perplexed at TNA for giving away this match, with no major build up and no answers as to who was responsible for kidnapping SAMOA JOE! Maybe it was a fraternity stunt or something, or maybe it was the ECW originals? I don't know, I'm lost.

The two started kicking back and forth and Joe got kicked in the face hard style, which was amazing to see. RVD made a mistake and almost got caught in the Muscle Buster, and this match took a nice turn. RVD's spinning kick to the face was a great way to start this one, especially since Joe took it square and looked legit pissed about it. Despite having a few standout moments, the end of the match was odd, it kind of was just “thrown together”. RVD got an odd roll through for the pinfall victory. This match wasn't half bad, and it had some great moments, that's for sure, I thought Joe had this thing won, but apparently not. This was a quality wrestling match for tv, but it kind of just ended, there could've been more.

Post match Joe hit the Muscle Buster on the REF! Joe's just a sore loser now, instead of being a strong heel.

Douglas Williams defeated Jeremy of Generation Me In a Ladder Match

This match started fast paced and Williams was stunned early on. I liked the intensity from Jeremy Buck in this match up. The ladder came into the ring, but it wasn't ussed as a weapon at first, but it later became part of the structure with both guys taking bumps on and off the ladder. The commentators kept saying that Doug Williams is scared of heights, and he was playing that up as he couldn't climb the ladder at all. With Williams not being able to utilize the ladder and Jeremy hitting a lot of high flying and heavy hitting moves, he managed to defeat the champion in a non title match and that was that.

The Motor City Machine Guns put a little pre-packaged promo about Beer Money and how dangerous they are. It was a funny little sketch, and a solid example of what you can do with just a little bit of time to build a solid ppv showcase. I liked it.

Beer Money & Matt Morgan defeated The Motor City Machine Guns & Hernandez

What's this? A six man tag featuring people that will face off at the ppv? Did TNA just take a page from WWE's play book? Yep.

This match started off fast and the Motor City Machine guns were on top overall. Hernandez was complaining about how he wasn't being tagged into the match, but that didn't matter, the Machine Guns were moving faster than Hernandez could, and Beer Money was getting worked at every angle. Things turned around after Matt Morgan hit a big boot on Sabin. He got tagged in and this thing was just a matter of time. Beer Money is definitely the best tag team in the wrestling industry right now and I hope that TNA NEVER breaks them up to go on single careers. I know, i'm asking for a lot, but the way they worked in this match was solid, and I'm glad to see at least one federation understands how good a quality tag team can work a match. The match broke down and left only the Machine Guns and Beer Money in this match. After a reversed cross body block off the top rope, Beer Money took the win, and this was the end of this match. I liked it, great overall action, quick moments, and a solid Beer Money team.

Kevin Nash was back stage talking to Hulk Hogan. Hogan basically said that Waltman and Hall are done with the company, and that his hands were tied. That was that. Hall is still employed?

Jay Lethal in ring was talking like Ric Flair. Ric Flair came out and started cutting a promo. He basically said he was going to beat the crap out of Jay Lethal at the ppv. Lethal wanted to beat up Flair, but he did nothing, and Lethal was left in ring like a chump as Flair ran around him verbally and walked away.

Hardy is looking a bit chunky, just sayin.

Ken Anderson defeated Jeff Hardy

I'm not sure why these two are the main event, when there was a championship match mid-way through the show! Whatever. The match wasn't anything crazy, just your standard match from these two. I feel like I've already seen this match several times before, and while there were some ok moments in the match, I just saw nothing new for a good portion of it. The match wasn't slow or boring, especially when Hardy botched his own moves and missed Anderson! Hardy is not what he used to be, that's for sure. Anderson went for a top rope move but missed it, and Hardy hit his Twist of Fate and this match was done, Hardy wins relatively clean.

Abyss came out with a piece of wood with nails in it. I'm so sick of Abyss. He got beat up by Anderson and Hardy with relative ease, at least momentarily. Abyss then chokeslammed Hardy and kicked Mr. Anderson and stared at his piece of wood...Abyss sucks. I can't believe he's being pushed as the top heel right now. RVD's music hit and he ran down with his belt over his shoulder! Why is the champ running down with the belt? It just slows him down.

RVD didn't do much, he ran in and got thrown out by Abyss. Anderson got the steel chair and hit Abyss hard in the back. RVD then hit the Vandamminator on Abyss and that's it. The show finished, and that was that. TNA is ok at best, there were some good moments, which is rare, but I wasn't completely floored.

TNA Impact 4/4/10 Results and Review

TNA Impact 4/4/10 Results

Beer Money defeated The Motor City Machine Guns, Generation Me, and Hernandez & Matt Morgan
Sean Morley defeated Jeff Jarrett in a falls count anywhere match
Big Rob defeated Doug Williams
Jeff Jarrett defeated Tomko
Aj Styles defeated Abyss, The Pope, Desmond Wolfe

TNA Impact 4/410 Review

Ric Flair and Aj is out and wants to talk to Hogan and Abyss. It was all calm and just normal, I guess.

Backstage Desmond Wolfe was interviewed and his girl Chelsea was there. I think they are trying to link Soccer to TNA, just sayin.

Jeff Jarrett is now the bathroom clean up guy.

Beer Money defeated The Motor City Machine Guns, Generation Me, and Hernandez & Matt Morgan

This match had a bunch of good spots early on, however this thing broke down with the champions getting messed up, and losing with a roll up of sorts. I didn’t like it. Three minutes of wrestling..seriously? This match sucked.

Backstage Double J was mopping the men’s room.

Sean Morley defeated Jeff Jarrett in a falls count anywhere match

Morley immediately attacked double J in the bathroom while he was mopping. This match never left the bathroom, and it sucked. Morley wins…boring.

The pope cut a promo worse than any Warrior promo…meaning I had no idea what he was saying.

Big Rob defeated Doug Williams

This match was fast and easy, Big Rob easily handled Doug Williams. It was terrible.

More with Mick Foley and etiquette, it was terrible.

Mr. Anderson came down dressed as Kurt Angle came down to the ring and made fun of him ala WWF attitude era.

Backstage the Beautiful People were fighting in the weakest street fight I’ve ever seen. It was dumb.

Angelina Love called out Velvet Sky to the ring, and the two started to brawl overall. It was boring to me. The Beautiful People came out for the save. Funny that there was no security stopping this.

Jeff Jarrett defeated Tomko

A terrible match with Jarrett winning with a sunset flip; I’m sick of Double J.

Aj Styles defeated Abyss, The Pope, Desmond Wolfe

This match was lame. It was short and it didn’t feature much of a fight between the four men. The Pope was targeted and with help from Flair and a chair, the Pope was knocked out. He was in the figure four for a long time and the ref called the match. This sucked.

Post match, Desmond Wolfe and Styles beat up the Pope. Ric Flair got the Barbed Wire Baseball bat from under the ring and hit Abyss with it. This was kind of cool…I guess.

Hogan came out to drop all the heels…and Flair got busted wide open…man this is stupid.

Tna Impact 2/11/10 Results and Review More of the Same Crap

Tna Impact 2/11/10 Results

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated Orlando Jordan
Matt Morgan defeated Suicide
Brutus Magnus defeated The Amazing Red
The Beautiful People defeated Tara & Angelina Love
Kennedy & Kurt Angle defeated Desmond Wolfe & Hernandez

Tna Impact 2/11/10 Review

Man this show was so lame to start. I heard there were no matches set for the ppv this weekend, and people just talking bad about TNA, rightfully so, the show opened up with Hulk Hogan going to the ring. Erik Young came down to interrupt Hogan, and said he wanted a shot at the “band”. Hogan said to find them outside, and what not…it was a boring promo.

The eight card stud tournament qualifier match was next to come through.

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated Orlando Jordan

This match wasn’t a classic masterpiece, but it had some good moments. The fans completely hate Jordan, that’s right. It’s a good thing, and I think that’s important for Jordan. He’s getting so much heat it’s great. The Pope, is a solid wrestler and put on a show, although a little light tonight. Orlando Jordan didn’t stink up the arena and did play it up against the Pope, the finale was ok, this match was good enough to keep me looking, that’s for sure.

Double J got the shaft with Bishoff, looks like he’s getting totally screwed on television.

Matt Morgan defeated Suicide

Looks like the Suicide angle is all over. He got killed in this match. Morgan looked strong and just blew through all Suicide’s attempts at offense. Morgan moves on in the tournament. This was a glorified jobber match to say the least.

Backstage Angle and Anderson, were interviewed by the biggest forehead in wrestling right now, and it wasn’t anything too special. A random microphone came down and Anderson said ANDERSON!

Brutus Magnus defeated The Amazing Red

The Amazing Red did almost everything possible to fight off Brutus, but just couldn’t put him away. Magnus won with a nice northern lights suplex. Red did some great counters, and hit fast and hard, but it wasn’t meant to be.

The Beautiful People defeated Tara & Angelina Love

This match wasn’t all that great, it had a lot of moments where the Beautiful People were just not that good at wrestling. They seemed scared, and were playing up the “divas” type of wrestling and maybe that’s what they were going for, but it made for terrible wrestling matches. This match was a cluster at the end, but The Beautiful People got the win, again. Not terrible, but not good. Lame.

Kennedy & Kurt Angle defeated Desmond Wolfe & Hernandez

Kurt Angle was trying his best to win this match basically all alone. He was taking control of this match until out of a mistake Desmond Wolfe was able to reverse things. Angle was getting worked over, and refused to tag Anderson. Anderson got a tag then threw Angle out of the ring, and won the match for the team! Angle looked pissed and Anderson basically looked strong! I hope Anderson wins this weekend.

Samoa Joe cut a promo and Aj Styles came down with Nature Boy. Samoa Joe unloaded against Aj Styles, and with the help of Ric Flair the two took out Joe.

The Band beat up Kurt Angle with Brass Knuckles. Hogan came out to the ring after the band beat up Kurt, and got inside the ring!

Hulk laid out Sixx and Scott Hall with Brass Knuckles.

Final Thoughts

Tna sucks.

I hate it.

There’s no change.

TNA Impact 2/4/10 Results and Review More of the Same

TNA Impact 2/4/10 Results

Mr. Anderson defeated Brutus Magnus
Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated Team 3D
Samoa Joe defeated Jesse Neal
The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated AJ styles
Kurt Angle defeated Tomko
Tara defeated Angelina Love
Kevin Nash defeated Mick Foley

TNA Impact 2/4/10 Review

The night opened up with recaps and that lame rap rock song.

Mr. Anderson defeated Brutus Magnus

I think he beat Brutus, I don’t remember. This match wasn’t that great, it had your standard Anderson moves, and a quick win overall gets him into the eight card stud tournament for a shot at the title. Anderson is good as a cocky heel, he’s always been. He just needs to work with someone that will help him get over even more.

Mick Foley tried to quit after a long promo with Eric Bischoff but instead he got thrown into a match for later tonight with Kevin Nash, no holds barred. Whatever.

Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated Team 3D

This match was for the tag team titles and it wasn’t much to write home about. The match was slow paced and Team 3D just seemed to be phoning it in. The Nasty Boys interfered costing 3D the match. Hernandez and Morgan win again, in this match, it wasn’t that good…face it.

Samoa Joe defeated Jesse Neal

Jesse Neal had a few shots, but not much. Samoa Joe finally shows up and wins a match in the Hogan area. This sucked, it was just a jobber match.

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero defeated AJ styles

A very interesting match, with lots of offense from The Pope which was odd. You don’t usually see this much good offense on a champion, especially in the middle of a night of wrestling. Styles seemed slow and sloppy, but Dinero was looking great this time around. The Pope had an answer for Styles at every turn and eventually got a win, though it was a small package win…again, Pope gets a win. Post match, Ric Flair got involved and fought The Pope. Samoa Joe came in for the save, and The Pope and Joe were taking it to the Nature Boy and Styles, only to get interrupted by security, and cutting to commercial. Not a bad match, I like the Pope.

Post match, Samoa Joe challenged Styles to a world title match at the next ppv.

Kurt Angle defeated Tomko

Kurt Angle rolled straight through Tomko. This wasn’t even a match, and Tomko looked fat and bored. Angle hit Tomko with a ton of offense, and just kept hitting hard suplexes, eventually picking up the win.

Tara defeated Angelina Love

This match wasn’t that great, but the most important part was that Tara’s boobs fell out of her bra! Yeah that’s important to note overall, because the cameras were trying to blur things, but she was showing a lot at one point! The match was your standard fare with a quick pin for the ending. I didn’t think it was that great, but they did what they could, I guess.

Kevin Nash defeated Mick Foley

Kevin Nash brought weapons into the ring for this match, and it started at around 7:56 pm. Foley was swinging a barbed wire bat at Nash. Nash hit the weakest hockey stick shot to the sins, and then Nash used the Barbed Wire match on Foley. Nash hit Foley with a big kick and that was it…one of the worst matches on TNA ever!

Post match Scott Hall and Sixx Pack fought Kevin Nash. It’s called a Swerve folks, but does anyone even care? Screw this crap, this sucks!

Final Thoughts: TNA sucks.

They are back where they started. They were talking about how they wanted to raise the younger guys up and stuff, and what do we get here? The main event is two guys way out of their prime! The main story line at the main event level IS NOT THE YOUNG GUYS!

This night of TNA sucked, but at least I kind of saw Tara’s boobs…kind of. I guess I’m just a sicko.

TNA Impact 1/28/10 Results and Review Screwed

TNA Impact 1/28/10 Results

Desmond Wolfe defeated Sean Morley
Hernandez defeated Christopher Daniels
The Beautiful People defeated Awesome Kong, Hamada, and Tara
Brian Kendrick & The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Generation Me & Amazing Red
Doug Williams defeated Amazing Red in a X-Division title match
Mr. Anderson defeated Jeff Jarrett

TNA Impact 1/28/10 Review

Immediately Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were introduced, and they arrived to somewhat cheers. They call out Mick Foley, and Foley wants his job back. This segment sucked and went nowhere.

Backstage Mr. Anderson took away Hemme’s mic and issued an open challenge to anyone in the TNA locker room for a match, since he wasn’t book tonight.

Desmond Wolfe defeated Sean Morley

What in the world? Val Venis is back? I heard about it, but I didn’t see his in ring return, and from what I can see, he’s not looking too out of shape. This match didn’t have me upset at all, I actually liked how it was going, and when the Tower of London happened, I actually cared about Desmond Wolfe’s second coming. Overall not a bad match, in the qualifier to a tournament on ppv; I didn’t mind it, and it was a good opening match up.

Mr. Anderson’s opponent for later will be Jeff Jarrett, not bad.

Hernandez defeated Christopher Daniels

This too was a better match than in previous months. Daniels really matched Hernandez at times, but with his speed, while Hernandez tried to use his strength as an advantage. After a while Daniels grew frustrated that he couldn’t put super mex away and that made Hernandez the winner when he capitalized against the former Fallen Angel to advance to that tournament they kept talking about.

The Nasty Boys and Team 3d had a “face to face” of sorts. It was boring. They will face each other at the ppv.

The Beautiful people were interviewed backstage…that’s about it.

Eric Bischoff fired Bobby Lashley, and was escorted out of the arena.

The Beautiful People defeated Awesome Kong, Hamada, and Tara

The knockouts division is hit or miss when it comes to in ring ability. There should be enough talent in ring to get this match going, and it was definitely better than anything the divas have done lately. Tara still has some good moves, and it’s mind boggling to me why WWE didn’t capitalize on her talent. Madison Rayne and the rest of the Beautiful People have some moves too, but it seems that their ring attire gets in the way of their wrestling more time than not. Hamada and her team had this match completely won, but Madison Rayne got the win after using the ugly stick on Hamada.

I didn’t mind this match, I like foreign objects in endings sometimes. Overall a better offering than recent months, that’s for sure.

Backstage Earl Hebner got suspended after admitting he got a pay off from Flair to ring the bell early. Whatever.

Angle and Hogan buried the hatchet of sorts, and then Angle was immediately attacked by Hall & Waltman.

Brian Kendrick & The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Generation Me & Amazing Red

Finally, The Young Bucks are in a major company. I remember seeing the Young Bucks wrestle in Culver City, California in my home town! They finally made it! I’m glad. This match immediately started with Kendrick and Red going fast paced and Kendrick getting worked over fast. This match was very fast pace, and it was interesting. People talk about spot to spot and what not, but I personally thought it was more than that. Kendrick got the win over Red, and this match was interesting to say the least.

Big Rob gave Doug Williams the feast or fired briefcase and cashed it in.

Doug Williams defeated Amazing Red in a X-Division title match

Doug Williams cashed in the briefcase, and he’s now the new champion. This made a lot of sense.

Mr. Anderson defeated Jeff Jarrett

Jarrett came out to no music, and just came down and started from point #1 at the bottom of the barrel. Anderson and Double J started with some good overall old school wrestling. This match should’ve been a lot longer. Jarrett seemed to be getting things rolling in his direction, but he lost after a low blow from Anderson.

Final Thought:

This night of TNA didn’t suck as bad as the previous weeks. There was some filler, but overall, the wrestling was a lot more thought out and entertaining to me. If TNA can continue moving forward like this, they might be able to pull in new fans.

TNA Impact 1/21/10 Results and Review No Change in Sight

TNA has been preaching change for a few weeks now, and it’s interesting to see how things are going, the recap of Genesis looked actually good, I don’t know what the podcasts were talking about. Maybe It’s just cause I didn’t see the whole thing and the recap was really condense, or maybe TNA is actually moving forward for a change. We’ll see….

Tna Impact 1/21/10 Results

Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion
Orlando Jordan defeated The Pope D’Angelo Dinero
Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne
The Nasty Boys defeated Erik Young & Kevin Nash
Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle

Tna Impact 1/21/10 Review

Ric Flair and Aj Styles arrive backstage in a limo with lots of women. I don’t mind them changing Styles a bit, but he just seems out of place, regardless.

They changed but yet they still have that lame “rapcore” music? Lame.

Ric Flair came down the ramp with two of the ugliest girls I’ve seen in professional wrestling in a long time. Flair cuts a classic “I Hate Hulk Hogan” promo, which was recycled from 1994. He wants to wrestle Hogan yet again. He claims Aj Styles is going to be the next Ric Flair? Lame. Aj Styles came out and sucked the life out of the room, he’s just not that over with me. Styles just has the charisma of a wet noodle, no matter who his manager is. He shouldn’t talk, let Flair talk for him.

Hogan and Angle interrupted, and I kept wondering where the change was. This seems like WWF 1999 recycled. 20 minute opening promos and what not. Hogan announces that Angle will get another shot at the TNA title! This time Ric Flair can’t interfere. The match is going to be tonight!

Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion

Not a bad match, a lot of good back and forth action from both sides of the coin. I thought the British Invasion was going to win, since they are more of a traditional tag team, but they tried to cheat and it back fired, creating a rift between the team. I think Matt Morgan is definitely better than I pegged him a few months back, and it’s interesting to see him get some gold. The British Invasion looked to be on the verge of splitting up, but post match we couldn’t really get anything out in the open.

The reason for that was that Mick Foley jumped in and leveled the British Invasion with a chair, and wanted an appointment with Eric Bischoff.

Orlando Jordan defeated The Pope D’Angelo Dinero

Not a terrible match, The Pope looked strong early on, and if it weren’t for his pesky knee injury from the ppv, he might have put away Jordan. Orlando Jordan didn’t do anything crazy to impress me, but he was smart enough to go for the injured leg, so maybe this is just the beginning of better things for Orlando Jordan in TNA. I liked the match for what it was, and look forward to seeing both these guys in TNA in the near future.

Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne

This was a quick match, with no major wrestling that I can speak of. I don’t like the fact that Angelina Love still looks like a member of the Beautiful People, but I can get behind her attacking her former friends. The numbers game catching up with Angelina was great too, and this is not half bad.

Hogan and Bischoff constantly in ring talking about change and what not is getting really tired. They once again get in there and start airing dirty laundry and talking crap, it’s boring to me. I don’t need that, I need better wrestling; Scott Hall and Waltman basically got fired during the promo, with Hogan getting both ejected from the building and saying “you don’t work here”, get out! Will they rehash their “Outsiders” gimmick now though?

Mick Foley came out to talk, but security had him escorted out.

The Nasty Boys defeated Erik Young & Kevin Nash

You know, I didn’t hate this match, and I might be one of the only fans of the Nasty Boys. I think they can cut promos and they can wrestle. Just watch their feud with the Steiner Brothers in NWA and you’ll understand what I mean. Sure they aren’t as good or as young, but they put Erik Young through the ringer and pinned him clean. Sags took care of most of the work, but this math wasn’t terrible.

Mr. Anderson comes out, and he’s not as over as he was when he was in the WWE that’s for sure. He does have potential in TNA which is something that you should consider in regards to his arrival in TNA. I liked how he used brass knuckles in his win at Genesis, and I think if used right, TNA could go far with Anderson. Heck, I’d prefer Anderson instead of Styles as not only champion but also Ric Flairs protégé. Anderson’s promo was quite good overall, and Abyss showing up to surprise him and attacking was quite good too. I liked it, this is the only bright spot in TNA’s show tonight! Well that and the Nasty Boys match, I hope the continue to do more feuds like this. Anderson is gold on the mic, and it’s nice to see him in TNA.

Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle

I feel like TNA keeps feeding me the same thing over and over again. We blame WWE for repetition, but here we get it from TNA for months and months on end! Oh and no sign of Samoa Joe or many other talents on the roster. This feud is reminding me of HHH vs The Rock in 1998 where for 8 months they wrestled each other often to draws or interferences. It finally ended in a ladder match at Summerslam, and I hated that back then, too many repetitive matches with the same guys. Here we get it again, even if the match is good, I’m tired of seeing it. The match was going well and out of the blue amidst different counters, Earl Hebner tells the time keeper to ring the bell!

Oh man, TNA rehashes the Montreal screw job! Yep. I kid you not folks, TNA recycles a 12 year old angle (no pun intended) out of the blue. Angle then starts yelling, and Hogan comes out and Angle spits in Hogans face. Angle says he is going back to WWE!

This is seriously the worst thing I’ve seen in TNA in a long time.

Eric Bischoff comes walking down the ramp and his head is busted open, and he’s bloodied. He fires Mick Foley and that’s the end of the show.

Final Thoughts:

This show sucked. It had two moments I really liked, and the rest of the time it was just stupid. TNA talked big about change all month, and what they've done is just rehashed old story lines, made Hogan look like Vince McMahon circa 1997 and just making no sense.

This show sucked. Face it.

Tna Impact 1/4/10 Results and Review Hogan Shows Up and More

TNA Impact was a huge talked about show. Hogan and his idiots showed up and a lot of things were to be shaken up. There was a lot of talk about this show, and how it ran up against raw, like Nitro used to. Did it deliver?

Maybe.

Tna Impact 1/4/10 Review

“Time for a change” is the title card we get, like this was an old television show, and that right off the bat sucks, I hate that. The main song “rap core” style is still there, and we go straight to the event! The ring wasn’t shown right away, but everyone was talking about whether or not the ring would change shape, and well?

Bubba The Love Sponge got a job, he’s the new broadcast helper, and the show immediately turned straight to pre-taped segments from earlier of fans dogging WWE. Bubba The Love Sponge talking to all sorts of idiots, and it’s seriously terrible. These fans aren’t smarks that’s for sure, but who cares right? I don’t.

The ring is NOT four sides, it’s still six sides.

Motor City Machine Guns, Homicide, Kiyoshi, Black Machismo, Consequences Creed, Suicide, and Amazing Red fought in a steel asylum match, to a no contest

The rules of a Steel Asylum match really aren’t crazy. You can only win by leaving the six sided, red colored cage. There’s an opening at the top, and well, it isn’t one of Tna’s strong suit.

The action in this match was hard to follow, as Tazz said. The camera angles kept changing on me, and it was hard to see who was hitting who and what spot was getting hit next, but I did notice something major. For this match to go on, and for the wrestlers to get in some action, 6 of the competitors had to just lay down and do nothing or simply wait in the corner and watch. That allowed for two wrestlers to fight in the center, which makes for a somewhat boring match. It’s supposed to be a free for all, yet it has no major likeness to a traditional free for all, if that makes sense. It’s almost like the Royal Rumble, when it gets towards the end, where people take their time and get out of the way to let the center take stage.

That’s not to say there weren’t some cool spots, especially off the cage, but this thing wasn’t always action packed. Homicide had a police baton and struck his own partner and others. The bell started to ring, and this is why TNA sucks.

Inside of a STEEL CAGE, Homicide got disqualified. That’s right, disqualified inside a six sided cage with a top on it! The fans were chanting “This is Bull Shit” and it’s true, TNA shoots itself in the foot on their “epic” show, and the fans were letting him know, and it was getting bleeped out.

Post match Homicide had a hard time getting out of the cage, and to cover the rest of the guys in the match started to climb the ring and he had to get back down. As they all started to fight Homicide, someone’s music hit and guess who came out? JEFF HARDY! Jeff Hardy came through the crowd, over the rails, and was immediately attacked by Homicide. I KID YOU NOT! Homicide and Jeff Hardy, and Jeff hits Homicide with an unprotected CHAIR SHOT! JEFF HARDY comes back to TNA and this definitely is a shocker because rumors had it that Jeff and Punk were headed for a match at Wrestlemania, but apparently Hardy is back on TNA! How weird is that? Anyways, Jeff Hardy is in TNA, Homicide got knocked the hell out, and TNA tries to swerve the internet, but to no avail.

Shannon Moore was also shown on television backstage greeting Hardy after his major debut in TNA. So apparently they are both in TNA now? Whatever. Hogan was not at the show from the beginning, the camera’s cut to a limo and claimed that it was Hulk Hogan coming to the impact zone, and he had two police motorcycle cruisers.

Christy Hemme interviewed Kevin Nash backstage and it her forehead was gleaming like usual along side her face, and skin tight body suit. Wow, how can Big Sexy resist? He wasn’t in “Nash mode” he was just randomly rambling about how great Hulk Hogan was and how great it is to have him in the show. He then talked about how Hogan is going to be making him a lot more money, so he was excited…though not showing much emotion.

ODB defeated TARA in a TNA Knockout’s Championship match

This match started out like it would be an instant classic, with Tara using her martial arts background to get some hits in on ODB and I was interested to see how far this match would go in regards to women’s wrestling. However, it wasn’t that good as within a few minutes this match was over with ODB rolling up Tara and holding the tights to get a win. I can not stress the fact enough, this match was really short. The knockouts are turning into the divas before our eyes. TNA is really making a mistake with this division, if they continue to allow short lived matches like this to progress, especially since they have more talent than the divas…or had more talent.

Post match, ODB got hit with the Widow’s Peak and Tara put her Tarantula on ODB and then we cut to the backstage area.

Backstage out of a limousine, came none other than NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR! No, not a cut out, but seriously, RIC FLAIR on camera!

The show comes back to footage of earlier, and it’s Mick Foley getting barred from the Impact zone. Hemme was out there in a skin tight suit…in broad day light. He was not allowed interest into the Impact Zone, and that was it.

Bobby Lashley came out with his wife, and it was weird. His wife cut a huge heel promo, and started to pull the “Vickie Guerrero” card. The crowd immediately turned, and was booing the crap out of Lashley and his wife. She said that he wants his release from TNA and that this was the last time we will see Lashley in TNA.

Backstage, The Beautiful People were in some closet somewhere playing poker. They then started to attempt at the most unsexy strip poker bit, and it was boring…then we finally get thrown a bone, no pun intended, we cut to commercial. Wow, the Beautiful people sucked (once again no pun intended) the life out of me and what little interest I had in the show up to this point.

Backstage, Waltman and Scott Hall were trying to get in. Security wasn’t letting them in so they started fighting the security guards and it was broken up. Looks like the Outsiders can’t come in easily.

After another series of commercial breaks, out came Waltman and Scott Hall. Then we get another set of commercials! I definitely was annoyed at the amount of commercials they cut into this lame show.

Then we get back to TNA Impact and it’s Hall and Waltman again in the crowd, then we get another set of commercials! It was definitely the most annoying thing in a long time.

After the set of commercials, and one hour into the show only 2 matches in, out came Hulk Hogan! This is what they wanted, and the crowd? It wasn’t anti-hogan but it wasn’t roaring, that’s for sure. It still was a good pop, but nothing like I’ve heard in my youth while cheering him on from the rafters. The Hogan change shirt looked cool though.

Hogan got on the mic and started to talk about how TNA is going to be #1. Mid way through his speech out came Hall and Waltman and security tried to stop them. But Hogan let them through, and they did the N.W.O signal and got mics. “HEY YO” got a nice pop, and I marked out huge…for a second. Hall seems to be ok with keeping his accent like Razor Ramon. Hall and Waltman wanted to party and get big paychecks, and this whole segment just seemed so forced. I didn’t really like it, but eh, what are you gonna do? Remember the last time “The Kings of Wrestling” came out? It was terrible. This time was headed down that road, and I wasn’t sure if they were going to recover, then some random music hit, and guess who it was?

Kevin Nash came down to ringside, and he was not looking too excited. This show was starting to resemble the South Park parody episode of wrestling, and seriously, I was having a hard time getting into it. I kept thinking about how WCW died with these four in control, and WWE threw them out. Hogan kept trying to saying, “we need to change things for the better” and stuff like, “we can’t be like we were once, we need to grow up”, which got some crowd response, but eh, so what. Some more random music hit…oh man…

Out came Eric Bischoff, and the crowd went nuts. I’m so tired of this show already! Bischoff was in the ring with a mic on Hogan’s side and they started talking about how old times changed wrestling forever and what not. Nash, Waltman, and Hall left the ring after Bischoff said that everyone had to earn their place in TNA and that was that, I guess. The live crowd ate it up, but not me. They kept saying that it was time for a Change but nothing was changing, and then we revisit the old storyline with Sting in the rafters and the announcers going nuts about how he’s been missing for months. I didn’t like the angle in WCW that much, except for when Sting would show up and mop up, leading up to Starrcade 97’ and the no-end finish with Hogan and Piper and everyone involved. Wait, that might have been, no it was 1997 Starrcade.

Awesome Kong & Hamada defeated Taylor Wilde & Sarita in a tna knockouts tag team championship match

This match started slow, but picked up into a good opening with Sarita and Wilde trying to do serious double team maneuvers, but Kong was too much for the two of them, at least initially. Backstage the Motor City Machine Guns were knocked out, and the announcers went wild for that, taking us out of the match for a moment. The match continued and there was a double Suicide Dive by Sarita and a huge cross body block by Taylor Wilde onto their opponents outside, and I was definitely impressed as usual by the knockouts. However, we go to yet another commercial break, right when the action was getting really good. After the break, Awesome Kong was in full control, and it was obvious that the tag champs were going to have a hard time with Kong, but Sarita hit a nice springboard second rope dropkick and Kong showed signs that she was indeed human in a nice bump, I couldn’t believe how fluid Kong was in this match up, and that bump proved it greatly for me. Hamada knocked out Taylor Wilde on the outside, and Kong lifted up Sarita into the Awesome Bomb position, as Hamada hit her with a huge Missile Dropkick! What’s this? A TAG TEAM FINISHER? YES YES YES! I marked out huge for this match, as it really made me a fan of wrestling again. These women get match of the night up to this point, wow…finally some legit wrestling on the show!

We cut backstage to Val Venis! That’s right, Val Venis joins the Beautiful People in a game of strip poker. So Val Venis is in TNA now? Wow.

Guess who else showed up? It’s Mick Foley and none other than The Nasty Boys! Yes, THE NASTY BOYS, BOTH OF THEM! Sags and Knobs, the Nasty Boys were both backstage and trying to get in. They didn’t get in, and were thrown out.

Now for the rewind to 1995 here was Raven & Doctor Stevie. They would face Matt Morgan and Hernandez, and the only thing I personally liked was Daffney, she’s my type….the kind that I have no chance with…ziiiing!

Hernandez & Matt Morgan defeated Doctor Stevie & Raven

This match was a non issue, it was possibly one of the shortest matches I’ve seen in a long time. The match had Richards getting a Carbon Blueprint and pinned. That’s it. Seriously, that’s it. What a stupid waste of time.

Backstage The Pope was with Hemme and a random interview. I don’t hate it, but I don’t necessarily like it, especially after the terrible match that just happened. Orlando Jordan showed up, I think…maybe? I’m not 100% sure if it was him or not, but it was interesting. Elijah Burke has some competition now, in an interesting segment that went from the bottom to the top, I started to get interested, then we cut to the ring, and it fell apart again.

D’Angelo Dinero defeated Desmond Wolfe

It started raining money, well, fake stuff like the old JBL bucks. I wish I had some of those, that’s for sure. (The Jbl Bucks) This match started with what are usually called rest holds. Dinero was in rough shape against Wolfe early on, but Dinero got some interesting offense in before this match got too one sided. Wolfe went for the Tower of London but got reversed into an escape and Dinero then confused Wolfe into a small package, and this match was over. This wasn’t a great match, but Dinero had some quick counters, which made it a little more interesting than I’ve would’ve thought possible from these two. I’m still not convinced that Desmond Wolfe is worth his position in TNA as I’ve yet to see him do anything major in ring. Sure he can attack backstage and what not, but in ring? I’m not convinced.

Rhino backstage was laid out too.

Jeff Jarrett was backstage too.

Aj Styles was doing an interview, and Eric Bischoff interrupted and made Aj Styles vs Kurt Angle for the main event, for the world title, which was supposed to be the Genesis main event, but we’ll see what happens.

Jeff Jarrett came down to ringside, mic in hand, and you know we were going to hear from him…again. He basically was bragging about how TNA has come a long way and that they are going to the number one spot. They keep telling me that there was going to be change, but I have yet to see it. This show is boring me now, I’m tired of hearing about change and seeing nothing, just like Obama.

Hulk Hogan interrupted Jarrett. The crowd was chanting Bullshit for the second time tonight, and it’s interesting. Hogan started to talk about how the young guys were going to get the push now, and that Jarrett sucks. Hogan’s act is already tired, I’m tired, I couldn’t wait to see what Raw had for tonight because this sucks now. I’m sick of hearing Hogan’s voice and his random “change” speeches that keep popping up throughout this show.

Daniels was having an interview and JB rushed in and got in the way, the interview ended and Mick Foley busted in and JB let him…kind of.

Shannon Moore and Jeff Hardy were backstage painting a picture…I kid you not, and they had a “meeting” with the big man, whatever that means.

Samoa Joe defeated Abyss

Joe started this match street-fight style, with a lot of punches and kicks, and this match slowly escalated into a more wrestling-oriented match up. Abyss couldn’t get his bearings up front, and Joe was relentless in his high impact offense. Eventually Abyss started to get more offense in, with a strongside slam, big splashes into the corner and charges, dropping Joe several times. Abyss hit a nice chokeslam, catching Joe off the top rope, and things weren’t looking good for the submission master Joe. Abyss took a sick head shot with a chair, and afterwards got hit with Joe’s finisher, he kept reaching for the ropes and it looked like he was going to make it, but he tapped out. Overall this match was definitely a physical one, but it didn’t top that women’s tag title’s match up, which was way more solid by comparison.

Bischoff backstage had to deal with Lashley’s wife. It was a stupid segment.

Bubba the Love Sponge was backstage and Beer Money was laid out cold.

The Nasty Boys finally got into the arena, with help from Bubba.

Backstage Jeff Hardy kissed some tweens and gave them a painting. Then himself and Shannon Moore left in a Lamborghini, each had envelopes…and that was that.

The Nasty Boys tore up the Dudley’s dressing room, and spray painted the walls with “Nasty”. This was definitely interesting, but aren’t the Nasty Boys really old? I thought so.

Aj Styles defeated Kurt Angle in a TNA World Heavyweight Title Match

This match started fast and it seemed somewhat old to me. I felt like I’ve already seen this match many times. A masked man came in and knocked out AJ and the Ref, Kurt started to fight him and he fell outside the ring. I heard the Masked man is Tyson Tomko. The match restarted and the two started to fight each other. FYI the masked man angle has been done many times before. Remember Sting and the Black Scorpion? Remember DDP in WWE? Yeah, it’s a tired gimmick.

I gotta give TNA credit this match wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t short, and it had a lot of wrestling for a free television match up for the title. Angle looked hurt towards the end of this match up, Styles was having a hard time putting the Olympic Gold Medalist away. Styles hit the Styles Clash, and after a near fall Angle was set up for another one but Angle reversed it into an Ankle Lock. It was a no go, and Ric Flair came out to the ramp to watch this match first hand. Styles hit the sweetest 450 splash I’ve seen in a LONG time! The match continued with some great counters by both men, and a lot of near falls. I’m not into the big near falls, as I think it kind of ruins finishers for people, but whatever. Styles hit a nice springboard splash and Angle was done, Styles retains the title in what would’ve been match of the night for me, if the Knockouts didn’t floor me with their tag title match earlier on.

After the match Hogan came out to talk on the mic but was interrupted, and backstage was Mick Foley looking for Hogan. Hogan ran away from the ramp to head backstage. Foley ran into Bischoff and was basically fired, well, almost. The outsiders beat up Mick Foley backstage. Hogan was left standing there looking like an idiot.

TNA’s January 4 impact wasn’t that great. It had two major matches that I liked, a lot of and I do mean a lot of filler. Lots of talk of change, with no major change. I liked the show, but it wasn’t worth all that hype I had to sift through the last couple of weeks. We’ll see if TNA does in fact change things up ahead, if not, then oh well.

Tna Impact 10/22/09 Results and Review Aftermath from Bound For Glory

Tna Impact 10/22/09 Results

Homicide defeated The Amazing Red
Matt Morgan defeated Scott Steiner
Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash defeated Aj Styles & Daniels
Awesome Kong defeated Raisha Saeed
Hernandez defeated Rhino
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Lethal Consequences in an ultimate x match
Beer Money defeated The British Invasion by disqualification in a six sides of steel match

Tna Impact 10/22/09 Review

TNA Impact immediately started with Kurt Angle coming down to the ring to start speaking on whatever it is he’s mad at this week. Kurt Angle was bad mouthing the main event mafia and others, it’s lame; I’m sick of Kurt Angle, seriously, that dude needs to take time off from the mic. Rhino came out and started yelling, then Team 3-D came out and started yelling and Security had to be called down. Lame intro to TNA that’s for sure.

Homicide defeated The Amazing Red

Homicide didn’t wait for this match to start in the ring, he attacked Amazing Red on the way down to the ring, and the two battled it out on the floor in this x-division match up. Homicide was on his game, he was attacking at will, hitting a lot of great things, but it was Red who was impressive, dodging bullets to make sure that he’s not losing this match easily. He was motivated and really fast, but Homicide caught him in a rare moment and the match slowed down from the frenzied pace of the beginning to a more traditional speed. Amazing Red got a second wind in this match up, but after picking up steam Homicide hit the Gringo Killer and won this match up. The Gringo Killer is dangerous, that’s for sure.

Matt Morgan defeated Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner started this match with some offense, but Matt Morgan was no selling the whole thing. Morgan than went forward with his brand of offense, but Steiner wasn’t just going to job out to Morgan without a fight and he started to bring things back into focus. Towards the middle of this match, it was obvious that Steiner was tired and the match really slowed down and while Morgan was hitting full speed, Steiner seemed to be gasping for breath and really out of it by comparison. Outside of the ring Steiner messed with Bobby Lashley’s wife and that prompted “The Boss” to run down and fight Steiner. Lashley threw Steiner back into the ring, and Matt Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint, to win the match up.

Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash defeated Aj Styles & Daniels

This match started out with a melee, bodies flying all over the ring, and it was ok to start off. I didn’t mind it too much as the teams fizzled down into a standard tag team match up, with Styles playing the Face in peril of sorts. Joe and Nash were hitting hard, and it seemed as though they were taking liberties with Styles, but it was all part of their offensive plan against the high flyer, grounding him from going big with his fast paced risk taking offense. Styles eventually tagged in Christopher Daniels and things started to turn around, Daniels was easily taking out Nash and Joe with all of his offense. While I still liked him as The Fallen Angel, he was holding his own against two bigger men, for a short time at least. Styles took out Joe and Nash was left with Daniels to finish this match up. Nash hit a huge chokeslam and this match was done. Not a terrible match, but definitely nothing you haven’t already seen before from these four guys.

Awesome Kong defeated Raisha Saeed

Awesome Kong was getting her revenge on her former partner. She started this match with heavy moves and hitting harder than I’ve seen her hit in a while. Saeed was trying to use her speed to get this thing going her way. Awesome Kong was just too much for her though, as Kong was having her way. This wasn’t a total squash though, as Saeed was able to get a few shots in with some hard shots and quick reversals. Kong hit the implant buster and this thing was over, Awesome Kong got her revenge and it looked like it hurt.

Hernandez defeated Rhino

The two big men started this match fast and it was actually quite good on the fly. Hernandez has really gotten good with his timing in ring, and Rhino, well he’s a veteran of the ring and is always on. Overall this was your standard big man match, there were a few moments with fast paced action, but more power moves and misses than anything else. Hernandez hit the big splash off the top rope winning this match up against Rhino with relative ease.

The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Lethal Consequences in an ultimate x match

This match started off fast, as it should have. Both teams were on time, and were fast and furious. This of course was an Ultimate X match and it failed to impress me initially, but it had enough gusto to make an overall good match between these two veteran teams. Lethal Consequences had a lot of great moments in this match up, including chain tag team wrestling, and top rope moves. The match eventually boiled down to the team that could hit the biggest and best tandem top rope impact move and this time around it was The Motor City Machine Guns.

Beer Money defeated The British Invasion by disqualification in a six sides of steel match

This match was stupid. Well, it looked stupid, that’s for sure. This was a six sides of steel match, yet the two teams had to tag in to get into the match up? I hate when they do this, why even have a steel cage if you have to follow the traditional “tag team” rules? It just doesn’t seem right, but that’s ok, the match went forward and it wasn’t terrible. Sure it was flawed, but it wasn’t the worst match I’ve seen in professional wrestling nor Tna. Beer Money seemed out of it, and I didn’t think they could pull it off, but they had this thing nearly sewn up at one point with a double team ddt on Doug Williams. Magnus was able to stop the nearfall and it was Williams that went to the very top of the cage but was stopped by James Storm. Magnus then set up an interesting move and things got really scary when they pulled a Tower of Doom that was completely botched! Someone could’ve died, if you saw this, you know what I’m talking about. Beer Money had this match won but Magnus knocked out the ref! A team of refs came running down to stop the match and nothing was really resolved initially.

The British Invasion loses a CAGE match via Disqualification? This makes no sense, seriously, no sense. This really made me hate TNA, beyond compare. How do you get Disqualified in a STEEL CAGE MATCH! SERIOUSLY! TNA SUCKS!

Kurt Angle came out to the ring and called out Desmond Wolf, a new guy that attacked Kurt Angle unprovoked! I like that sort of introduction to new guys. Kurt Angle then started heading back to the backstage area, and was blindsided by this new guy, Desmond Wolf! I liked it, finally, a new guy that just picks fights…like WWE did with their new guy…on Smackdown. Oh well, this thing turned into a brawl right away and it was Desmond that was impressive, with an obvious mean streak.

TNA wasn’t all that great this week. Angle getting pummeled was cool, other than that, a forgettable night of pro-wrestling.

Tna Impact 10/15/09 Results and Review The Super Impact 3 Hour Show

Tna Impact 10/15/09 Results

The Beautiful People defeated Tara, Awesome Kong, and ODB
Amazing Red vs Suicide No Contest
Hernandez defeated The British Invasion in a gauntlet match
Daniels defeated The Pope
Hamada defeated Alicia Flash in a falls count anywhere match
Lashley defeated Rhino in a stretcher match
Kurt Angle vs Aj Styles Time Limit Draw

Tna Impact 10/15/09 Review

I’m not sure what happened in the past few weeks with TNA, but this edition of TNA Impact was supposed to be a Super Impact Show! The show was titled “Angle’s Revenge” and really frustrated me from the get go, because I think the how shouldn’t have titles and crap like that, but that’s life. So here we go, TNA Super Impact, 3 hours of wrestling…wow….I’m going to need a nap after this review.

The show opened up with Kurt Angle and the main event mafia in the ring. Angle was in wrestling gear and said he wanted to do things different tonight, and he wanted to make sure he was ready for Aj Styles tonight. Angle started rambling to the rest of the members of his mafia, and it was random, and well…boring. Aj Styles came out with Matt Morgan and the rest of the good guys that will face the mafia at bound for glory. They then ran down and started fighting the Main Event Mafia, and things were going nuts. Once again, this was just like the old Nitro days with the New World Order, making me wish I didn’t review TNA…but I can’t help it I guess. Security ran down and got things back to normal, somewhat, but this was just stupid to me, I haven’t seen TNA in a while, but I know that the last time I did, this sort of crap was all over the show.

The Beautiful People defeated Tara, Awesome Kong, and ODB

Awesome Kong and Tara were fighting outside of the ring, meanwhile ODB was fighting The Beautiful People alone. Awesome Kong then started to walk away up the ramp, leaving her two partners to fend for themselves, and it was somewhat brutal. Well, as brutal as the current state of the knockouts division could be. The Beautiful People are a half step slower than ODB and Tara and this was painfully obvious. This made me not like the match too much, even though it was watchable. It’s still better than the divas match up. Even Tara’s superkick was terrible, but whatever. Tara had a disagreement with ODB, superkicked her, and the Beautiful People got the pinfall.

The Pope gimmick sucks. Seriously, the worst gimmick I’ve seen TNA come up with in a long time. Whatever…this sucks.

Amazing Red vs Suicide No Contest

The Amazing Red, always impressive, is now the X Division champion and was facing the stupid wrestler Suicide. Both wrestlers were going for the exact same moves, and it was a stalemate in the early goings of this match up. Red hit a sweet corkscrew plancha to the floor by Red, and it was just impressive to see Red’s timing. Suicide had a strength advantage, carrying Red and catching Red at times, but it was mostly Amazing Red and his flurry of high spots. Suicide’s rolling slam to guillotine leg drop from the apron was impressive, and it was nice to see the x division getting a good thing going. Suicide was attacked by The Pope and the match was thrown out. Oh well…

Erik Young joined the broadcast team for a little color commentary.

Hernandez defeated The British Invasion in a gauntlet match

Hernandez had to wrestle the whole British Invasion in a gauntlet style match up. Initially he started off with Doug Williams and was doing quite well initially. However, it was Williams that proved impressive, turning around the power moves of Hernandez into a more stable match up. Hernandez turned this thing around and won this one clean.

Brutus Magnus ran down as the second opponent for Hernandez, and was taking advantage of the winded Mexican, getting some pinfall attempts in within a few moments of his match starting. Hernandez put away Magnus with the Border Toss and it was quite well.

The third man of the British Invasion came in, and man, he’s got to be on the roids. Big Rob is massive, and he took it to Hernandez from the get go. He was hitting hard and was wearing out his opponent, with what seemed like ease. While Big Rob was gloating a little, Hernandez hit with a huge powerbomb out of the corner and won this match with ease.

Post match, Erik Young ran down with a Kendo stick and started to mop him up. The British Invasion than hit their finisher, and left the big man laying in the middle of the ring writhing in pain.

Backstage there was a four way interview and that led to the cameras cutting to Lashley and Joe and other fighting backstage. We then got a commercial, then an interview with Kurt Angle, then another commercial, then an interview with Aj Styles. All in all a lot of time wasting by TNA, which bored me and I’m sure bored you too.

Daniels defeated The Pope

Christopher Daniels hasn’t been the same since he gave up his Fallen Angel gimmick. I don’t think he’s that effective as a wrestler any longer. The Pope is interesting, he’s fast and he’s got some skills. He’s another WWE reject, and by the looks of his timing in ring, you wouldn’t know that. In fact, he is like a lighter R Truth in this match as he was taking it to Daniels early on in the match up. Daniels couldn’t really get his offense going, and was actually having problems with The Pope’s constant follow up. Daniels looked like he was done, and it was interesting to see how daniels would fix this, and eventually he made it work, after hitting The Angel’s Wings, Daniels won this match up.

Post match, out came Suicide, so we thought, but it was none other than Homicide dressed up as Suicide, to complicate things further. The match was standard, with the only cool parts being Daniels hitting his finisher, that’s always impressive, at least to me.

Mick Foley came down to ringside to talk about random crap. He sat down on a lazy boy of sorts, had some popcorn and was talking about Abyss. Abyss came out and attacked Foley. Foley then turned on the screen to show Steven Richards look creepy behind a blonde haired woman…most likely Abyss’s girlfriend or something. This segment was just another time waster.

Abyss ran down backstage. We got back to commercial break.

Hamada defeated Alicia Flash in a falls count anywhere match

Alicia Flash and Hamada are two women’s wrestlers that impressed me previously. I think that these two women could really get some good action going, and it’s interesting to see that TNA wanted to make this a falls count anywhere match, which seems odd to me. This was like the old ECW days for sure, this match was interesting, with both women hitting some high risk moves, high spots, and making the most out of the opportunity to have this falls count anywhere match up. It really was impressive to see two women put a match on like this, considering no one really does this type of wrestling anymore. It wasn’t just a plunder filled match up, it was a well balanced wrestling match with the stipulation allowing for a little extra. Hamada hit a nice a jumping ddt on the apron, and went to the skies for the finisher! She hit a picture perfect moonsault off the top rope through a table and Alicia Flash, winning this match, wow, this match was rad. I loved it.

Lashley defeated Rhino in a stretcher match

Lashley is being called, “The Boss”, and he seemed somewhat hurt with his ribs wrapped up. Rhino was attacking Lashley mercilessly throughout the ongoing of this match up. This was also given the stipulation of being a stretcher match, and Rhino was taking advantage of the fact. He was ruthless and showing off greatness against the former WWE star. The match turned around and Lashley seemed to have forgotten about his ribs and was hitting Rhino with some hard shots. Lashley was the only one really moving the stretcher, taking control of Rhino for a good portion of the match up and eventually moving to the back of the arena. Lashley hit a huge slam on Rhino onto a Guard Rail, and I thought this was over, and it most certainly was, Lashley threw Rhino stretcher and all into an Ambulance and this match was done. This was a terrible match up…terrible.

Backstage Mick Foley had fun beating up Abyss with the help of Stevie Richards and Daffney. It was somewhat boring, but oh well, what are you going to do? We then get yet another commercial break, and it was kind of tiring to note. TNA also teased the main event…Styles and Angle, after the break. This show is way too long, and I wanted to give up on the review, but I’ve come so far….

On a sidenote, Shane McMahon just resigned from the WWE…just a quick FYI.

Kurt Angle vs Aj Styles Time Limit Draw

This match was touted as the main event, and it was started at the end of the second hour. I figured this match was going to go at least an hour, but that didn’t make a lot of sense considering that these two have a match his weekend…then I remembered; TNA Impact is taped two weeks prior to air time, so this match happened a while ago. Anyways, this match started out quite good, Angle kept trying to keep the match on the mat while Styles kept getting away from Angle and hitting some sick moves. A nice dropkick from Styles made Angle second guess his strategy, and the two went back to work with counters and simple moves to try and isolate each other. Styles seemed to get the edge early on, forcing Angle to go outside of the ring and rest, rethinking his next move before things get out of hand for him. Angle finally got the upper hand by sidestepping one of Aj Style’s over the top rope moves, and the pain was on. Angle isolated Styles with a lot of rest holds and submission attempts, and Aj styles looked out. However, Styles was able to turn things around for a moment or two, but it wasn’t enough to put away Angle. Angle kept on the pressure, turning from rest holds to high impact moves like the release German Suplex and reversing the Styles Clash as well. There were several near falls and I thought this thing was going to favor Angle, but Styles kept kicking out at around two and a half. Angle started to appear frustrated, especially after a top rope belly to belly suplex didn’t put away Styles. Styles managed to even hit the Styles Clash, but it didn’t put away Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle barely kicked out of the Styles Clash. Angle was able to hit his patented Angle Slam and Styles kicked out. This match was headed into a stale mate fast. Angle went for the top rope moonsault, but Styles moved out of the way, and was out cold. Styles hit an impressive 450 splash off a springboard, and wasn’t able to get the win, as Angle managed to muster up enough strength for a kick out. Angle put on the Ankle Lock and the bell started to ring! Angle thought he won, but nope. The time ran out That’s right, there was a time limit, and the time ran out! The referee ruled this a time limit draw! What a load of crap. I can’t believe I sat through this for nothing. This isn’t the 1980’s there shouldn’t be a time limit draw!

The rest of TNA was just build up for the ppv that’s coming up. Nothing major, no more matches and I was finally ready to call it a day, that’s for sure.

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Results and Review Lots of Random Crap

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Results

Sting defeated Rhino
Aj Styles defeated Chris Sabin
Doug Williams defeated Suicide
Christy Hemme & Tara defeated Sojo Bolt & Hamada
Hernandez defeated Homicide
Aj Styles defeated Doug Williams
Sting defeated Hernandez via dq

TNA Impact 9/2/09 Review

Sting defeated Rhino

I’m not sure why these two started the show, but they sure did, Sting must not be as big as he used to be. Sting started this match fresh and fast, he even got the Scorpion Death Lock early on. The first thing I noticed was don West is out and that’s rad. Oh and this match had a of rest holds. Sting hit his Scorpion Death Lock and won the match, I think…Rhino beat up Sting after the match.

Aj Styles defeated Chris Sabin

Not sure why Styles was in the second match, it seemed boring to me. Sabin sucks, that’s for sure. Styles literally outmatched Sabin at every turn, and just had his way with the tag team specialist. At least for the most part, there was definitely an interesting situation of sorts. Sabin should get credit though, he kept kicking out of a lot of the offense Styles kept throwing at him, it was an interesting bout to say the least. It’s an interesting overall match, but nothing to write home about. Styles is quite good, even if he’s only the second match.

Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels talked about their upcoming match, it was boring to me, and to you probably too.

Doug Williams defeated Suicide

Overall, this match didn’t do a whole lot for me. Sure Suicide was fast at times, but it was Doug Williams that seemed to have his timing down. Suicide kept things fresh, but overall, Williams had his number in the realms of harder offense. Suicide turned things around for a second or two, but I never thought he had a shot, even after a nice spring board dropkick. Putting moves together, into a string, was ok, but overall I think Suicide is a lame guy. The Black Pope came down to ringside and dropped him, Suicide then tried to get back into the ring, but ran right into Williams for a rolling German Suplex and pin. Impressive end, that’s for sure. That ending made the match, wow, I haven’t seen such a nice set up in a long time.

Christy Hemme & Tara defeated Sojo Bolt & Hamada

Christy Hemme has such a huge forehead, it’s hilarious to me. Hamada, I assumed would be better, however she was sloppy against Tara. Tara as well seemed slow and winded for once, and I wasn’t sure what was wrong with her in this match. Hemme was doing some ok offense, but overall didn’t really put much effort into this match. Sojo Bolt seemed poised to make a better match than anyone else, because Hamada, Tara, and Hemme were not doing so well in the timing department. After the commercial break Tara and Hemme got their act together, but man, this match was so sloppy. Tara hit the Widow’s Peak and this match was over…finally.

Hernandez defeated Homicide

These two, former tag team partners, fought each other straight up. TNA took a page out of the WWE tag team division here, putting former team mates up against one another, breaking up the team in the process. Overall, it was Hernandez that was putting the boots to Homicide, with power moves over Homicide’s quickness. While Homicide hit a lot of good momentary offensive moves, it was Hernandez that delivered the pinfall victory after a great slam. Not a bad match, but not necessarily a good one either.

Aj Styles defeated Doug Williams

Williams can’t talk on the mic, that’s for sure. Doug Williams had this match well in tow, and Aj Styles was getting punished for sure. Williams went from big power moves to rest holds, forcing Styles to really try to get his bearings back into this match up. Williams was one step ahead of Styles for a good portion of this match up, until Aj started to make a comeback, creating a bit of fan fare. Aj Styles won the match, and this match was a bit boring to me.

Sting defeated Hernandez via dq

Sting was getting worked by Hernandez, easily handing Sting a beating, and creating a good overall match, early on; not a bad way to end the show. However, the match really got weird when Homicide attacked Sting on the outside. This interference cost the big man the match.

It wasn’t Homicide, it was Erik Young all along! Then we went to another commercial.

The end of the show sucked. It was basically another WCW Nitro ending. The World Elite, and others ended up in a beat down, that’s about it. It was a melee and that was the end of the show. TNA sucks.

TNA Impact 8/13/09 Results and Review More WCW Cloning

TNA Impact 8/13/09 Results

Chrsty Hemme defeated Sojourner Bolt
Hernandez defeated Doug Williams
Erik Young & Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jesse Neil & Rhino
ODB & Tara defeated Awesome Kong & Angelina Love
Scott Steiner defeated Brother Ray in a no dq match
Matt Morgan defeated Aj Styles

TNA Impact 8/13/09 Review

We opened up with a match right away, which could spell disaster, since it was a knockouts match.

Chrsty Hemme defeated Sojourner Bolt

This match was awkward, Hemme was making her return to the ring after a long absence, and she showed some Ring Rust during this match up. Bolt was definitely in control overall, and she was wild in ring, looking sloppy in regards to her execution of her moves. The worst though, was a botched back body drop that had Bolt land on her neck! It looked horrible, and it was obvious that she was loopy afterwards. Christ Hemme won with a Fire Crotch Guillotine for the three count. This was one of the sloppiest women’s match I’ve ever seen.

Hernandez defeated Doug Williams

Hernandez one again was trying to prove that he was a solid single’s wrester, much like many other former tag team specialists. He was in full control early on, hitting some major high spots, and heavy hitting moves. The best of course was his delayed vertical suplex, which had Williams down and out. Williams came back for a few moments, but it wasn’t long, as Super Mex hit the sit out Powerbomb and won the match.

Post match the British Invasion attacked, and Hernandez was in control until Big Rob hit him in the face with a steel brief case.

Erik Young & Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Jesse Neil & Rhino

TNA is notorious for making matches that make no sense, and are in no way indicative of a further plot point or storyline. That’s ok, if the matches are great, as WWF did in the old days. These mash up tag matches with guys that aren’t on tv often, is NOT something that I’m a fan of. When’s the last time we saw Jesse Neil and Rhino? Seriously, we haven’t seen these two in so long, that at this point I don’t care about them, and they perform like jobbers. With that said, Erik Young and Bashir were putting the boots to Neil and were in full control for the majority of the match. In fact, Rhino was never tagged into this match, and lost the match for his team. Neil is NOT advancing, much like Maven in WWE. This match sucked. I guess Rhino and Neil might split sooner than later. Especially since Rhino gored Neil.
ODB & Tara defeated Awesome Kong & Angelina Love

This match wasn’t that ood opening up, but then the heat got turned on. ODB and Tara went to the top rope, and this spelled disaster. ODB jumped off and was caught by Awesome Kong and others. Tara leaped of thee to top and The Beautiful People didn’t catch her as she landed, and I kid you not, Head first into the concrete floor! Tara was clutching her head as we went to commercial break, and it looked terrible. I’m not sure if she’s going to be ok or not, but she really took a hit to the floor, face first off the top rope! Cody Deaner at one point was ready to punch Awesome Kong, but instead he kissed Awesome Kong! Kong then brought him into the ring and received The Awesome Bomb! Immediately afterwards, Tara rolled up Awesome Kong and won this match for her team. This match was boring, but Tara’s fall was great.

Scott Steiner defeated Brother Ray in a no dq match

These two put on an ok match up. Steiner is still carrying too much weight, and it showed as the match went on. He opened up fast, trying really hard to bump, but as ray put on some heavier offense, he started to slow down and it was obvious he was being out wrestled by what seems like a “fatter” man. Booker T and Brother Devon got involved, then the British Invasion ran down to distract Team 3D and that’s when Steiner threw Brother Ray through a table and pinned him for the win. This match was terrible, but not the worst I’ve seen ever.

Mick Foley and Kevin Nash had a contract signing, and I was waiting for this thin to turn south, it never happened. Foley and Nash had the most boring contract signing ever, with neither man fighting the other or breaking the table. The whole purpose of this signing was to waste my time. Thanks TNA, for ruining things for me, You guys are really a joke at this point.

Matt Morgan defeated Aj Styles

I’ve already seen this match twice, and each time it wasn’t half bad. This one though? This match just seemed forced at times, with Aj purposely giving a half step to Matt Morgan. Was he saving energy? I’m not sure, but Aj Styles spent most of this match getting worked over by Matt Morgan, and Morgan for once looked completely dominant. No longer is he the stuttering giant from WWE, he was pummeling Styles with heavy moves, including a picture perfect fallaway slam, which brought forth shades of Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon! Morgan made a mistake, and Styles capitalized. Morgan even tried to go to the top rope, but was fought tooth and nail by Styles. Morgan got hit with a huge Pele, and fell off the middle rope, which was actually a cool move, but Styles could not win. After a springboard went awry, Styles got nailed in the face with the Carbon Footprint and pinned Styles! Morgan will go on to face Angle and Sting in the title match.

Post match, The Main Event Mafia came down to celebrate.

TNA Impact 7/30/09 Results and Review The 200TH Episode

TNA Impact 7/30/09 Results and Review The 200TH Episode

**NOTE***

The optometrist dilated my pupils, so I couldn’t see that well. I had to try and write this review with blurred vision. If you see mistakes, misspellings, errors, and overall syntax screw ups, it’s because my eyes didn’t adjust just yet. So please cut me some slack as I review the 200th episode of Impact!

Tna Impact 7/30/09 Review

We’ve come 200 episodes into this program and they still don’t know how to do it properly. Out came the Main Event Mafia, as usual, hitting the ring. Kurt Angle starting whining about Lashley and how he hit the Mafia last week, and that he’s demanding answers asap. Lashley came out and tried to do his best on the mic, something he couldn’t do in WWE. Foley came out, and once again this thing was another cluster of random mic’s yelling at each other. Foley set up a match where him and Lashley could win the Legends Belt or the World Title Belt…so lame. Every match has a dumb stipulation attached to it.

Hernandez defeated Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe follows up his loss last week by facing the bigger half of the Latin American Exchange. I already knew who was going to win in this match, but it had few good moments. Samoa Joe looks like he’s getting tired faster these days. Samoa Joe was dominating the match with lots of kicks and moves, but it was Hernandez that got the upper hand with some great offense, surprising the big man, with a splash and getting the quick win. I guess I was wrong again, Joe loses, despite Taz being there with him. I kid you not, Samoa Joe is getting tired faster.

***NOTE****

Alright folks at this point my eyes kept blurring in and out. My optometrist was checking for glaucoma and gave me some stinging eye drops, 6 sets of 3 different eye drops and my pupils were gone....so I couldn't finish this review. I'm sorry.

Here's the rest of the results, and I'll have a Smackdown review for sure.

Matt Morgan defeated Aj Styles in the first of their 2 out of 3 match series

I like how they are trying to be like WCW when Booker T and Chris Benoit had that best of 5 series. Those matches were amazing, these matches? Probably not.

Awesome Kong, Tara, and ODB with Cody Deaner and Raisha Saeed defeated Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne

British Invasion defeated Team 3D for the IWGP Tag Titles in a Tables Match

Bobby Lashley & Mick Foley defeated Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash

As a result Mick Foley is the new Legends champion
