ECW Review 7/15/2008 Hardy Boyz Win
In Ring Segment:
Tony Atlas and Mark Henry are in the ring talking about how great it is to be champion and associated with the world’s strongest man. They call a fan from the audience to try and bend a frying pan, and he couldn’t do it.
Mark Henry bends a frying pan with his bare hands. He then is praised for strength, and then calls out Tommy Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer couldn’t bend a frying pan so he hits Mark Henry in the head with it and runs off.
Tommy Dreamer yells, “ECW” and then goes backstage.
Tommy Dreamer is yelled at by Teddy Long, and then kicked out of the building.
Mike Knox defeated Shannon Moore
I didn’t know that Shannon Moore was still employed by wwe! What a waste of time. What a waste of talent. Shannon Moore does get in some great offense, and it was nice to see that they trusted him to get off the ground, but in the end, Mike Knox knocked the kid out and won the match. Knox doesn’t look all that great to me, he’s big, but if he keeps squashing cruiserweights, there’s no point. Knox over with his finisher, and that’s that.
Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero
Chavo is on his way out. Evan Bourne, the new comer is allowed to do so much in these matches. I was amazed that the WWE allowed Evan to fly off the top ropes like he does. He reminds me a lot of AJ Styles, he just has so much height on his moves. This was a good match, just high spots, but worth my 5 AM viewing of ECW. Match of the night, in fact, match of the week so far.
Mark Henry and Tony Atlas talks to Collin Delaney saying that he has nothing to worry about. Then Mark Henry puts him in a bear hug and throws him into a production cart. But he’s consoled by some hot chick, so it’s all good.
The Hardy Boys vs. Miz & Morrison
This match was the standard Hardy Boys vs. Miz & Morrison match up. We’ve already seen this match three or four times. They should just give the hardy boys the tag team titles and get this over with. The only thing worth mentioning about this match is that it went long, Sci-fi allowed it, and the guys put on a great entertaining match up. However, it is nothing new, and we’ve already seen this so many times on ECW and on Raw as well as Smackdown and even pay per view. The Hardy Boys are untouchable as a tag team, that’s for sure.
ECW Quick Results 7/15/2008:
Mike Knox def. Shannon Moore
Evan Bourne def. Chavo Guerrero
United States Champion Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy def. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz (non-title)
I gotta give it to WWE, they are trying to give you a lot of wrestling in one hour. There was more wrestling on this show than most other WWE programming. Adamle is still horrible, I can't stand how he's still making a trillion more dollars than me. I work 9 to 5 and barely crack 1/3 of what he makes. Plus no one that visits this site donates or anything...oh well. Ecw this week was ok, but it's getting old fast.
