ALL In 2018 Results and Review The Hype I Ended Up Missing

All In September 1, 2018 Review
I had tickets to All In, I had an option to go, and ended up having to stay home. I didn’t have enough money to get there, so I wasted my time getting tickets, and trying to see it. So instead, I ended up seeing it at home, and well, here are my thoughts not he show that was.

For the record, I was at When World’s Collide, so this would have had to be quite good to top that, and well, we shall see, won’t we. This is my take on the All In 2018 Show.

I did not see the battle royal etc.

Matt Cross defeated MJF

The show began with a couple of guys that I didn’t know. These two guys I am not sure were big, or anything, so I don’t know what to say about them. This was a nice back and forth match, with some nice action including some high spots, which were great to go through. Some great options to see what the independent talent had to throw at the audience. Good pacing, and a shooting star press to end things outright. Good stuff, nice opener.

Cristopher Daniels defeated Stephen Amell

Jerry Lynn was the ref and he made a discretionary call at one point. It was fun. Anyways, this match was good, with Amell throwing down a lot against Daniels, and Lynn at one point taking off his ref’s jersey and pushed Daniels at one point. Amell flew across the ring at one point and even flew down off the top through a table which was great. After the best moonsault ever, Amell gets pinned, and that was that. Good stuff here.

Tessa Blanchard defeated Brit Baker, Madison Rayne, and Chelsea Rayne

I love Tessa Blanchard, I think she’s absolutely awesome, and hot. I’d love to meet her one day. She is hot, and talented, and well, wow. Her hammerlock DDT was awesome, and she won this match. The four women put on a show, and while it had a few botches, I found the match to be fun to watch, and good to work through. They really did a good job, even if it wasn’t the best match overall. I liked it.

Cody Rhodes defeated Nick Aldis

This match was ok, but at one point Cody Rhodes threw a super kick and completely missed! I kid you not, this was a bad botch, and one really talked about how awful it was. Aldis was able to thwart Rhodes a lot in this match and it was interesting to see how he would react to the push that Rhodes was throwing into the frame. This was not the best match I’ve seen from Cody Rhodes at all, and yet it was ok to watch. He would get the win after a lot of back and forth, and this was a slow moving, entertaining match, but honestly, it was nothing grand. I’ve seen better from him, but hey, in front of 9,999 people that’s not bad. Remember, I wasn’t there, so they can’t claim 10,000, I was not there.

Hangman Page defeated Joey Janela in A Chicago Street Fight

Janela and Page threw down in this street fight, and it was great. Lots of action, and eventually some tables breaking, some unnecessary bumps and a lot more, it was just great. This was the most fun that I got from the show, and these guys really put on a showcase of great work. Lots of back and forth, nice use of tables, and Page really throwing Janela across many different areas. Great stuff.

Joey Ryan defeated Hangman Page

This was odd. A bunch of druids in Penis outfits came out and Joey beat up Hangman, then went away. This was odd.

Jay Lethal defeated Flip Gordon

Flip Gordon is one hell of a wrestler at such a young age, and with not a ton of experience. Jay Lethal threw down a great performance as Black Machismo, which I loved. The match was a mix of styles, with Macho, I mean Jay Lethal focusing on wrestling a more steady style. Lanny Poffo was there too, and that was fun. The match ended with the Lethal Injection, and that was that. Not a terrible match, but it felt a bit flat at times.

After the match, we saw Bully Ray run down and start beating up Flip Gordon and Jay Lethal. He then kicked Lanny Poffo in the nuts! Bully Ray setup a table and was definitely going to get his way here. In the midst of this, Colt Cabana ran down to try and stop Ray, and he did. Cabana then helped the guys throw Bully Ray through a table and that was that.

Kenny Omega defeated Penta Zero

This was one hell of a fight. Both guys threw down all of the offense that they could create, and yet it was not enough for Zero to win. Omega kept selling the arm after getting it locked into the finisher from Zero. It was a fun romp, with lots of back and forth, with some great moves, including all of Omega’s good options. All of the Penta stuff, and a fight for the ages, and it was fun. Omega would get the win with the One Winged Angel after about 3 V triggers.

The lights went out and, in the ring Penta stood up out of nowhere. But it wasn’t Penta at all. It was none other than Chris Jericho! Jericho would come in and have an awesome Judas shirt on and it was absolutely grand. He was able to throw down and then got on the mic and it was awesome!

Okada defeated Marty Scurll

I’ve seen some great Okada matches, and this was not one of them. I recall seeing him against Zack Sabre Junior and was blown away. This did not blow me away at all. Not even a little. This was a slow paced, slow moving, somewhat boring match that was phoned in by Okada at times. Scurll took a lot of punishment towards the end, and by the time I was ready to give up, the two managed to draw me in, as The Villain really took on a new life towards the end. Two rain makers alter, and kaboom, Okada pulls out the win. This was NOT as good as any other match I’ve seen from Okada. Scurll threw down some nice offense, though, so for that, I’ll give this match some credit, but this was fairly not as good.

The Golden Elite defeated Rey Mysterio, Fenix, and Bandido

I am so impressed that Rey Mysterio is still able to move with such speed. Ibushi and Mysterio were able to hold for hold, and Mystery, dressed like Wolverine was impressive here. I couldn’t believe how good he was. The thing that you would expect from these six men is what you got. You got all sorts of action, and you got a lot of high spots from everyone. So many high flying moves, so many high impact options, and just insane things that you would expect. Sometimes, psychology would get thrown out of the window, mind you, but it’s expected right? After Stereo Superkicks to everyone, we would get multiple moonsaults, and then a 450 splash and this thing was nearly done. Of course, The Meltzer Driver put away Mystery, Fenix, and Bandido, and that was that. The end of the show.

As far as a show, this wasn’t terrible. I didn’t hate it. The show ended fast, it had 3 seconds to go, and that was that. They cut it very close to the end, but they gave a good amount of entertainment.

Was this better than anything WWE did?

NO.

Was it worth the hype?

No.

Did I miss it?

Yes. I lost money on this event.

ROH Masters of The Craft April 15, 2018 Results and Review

ROH Masters of the Craft 2018 Results and Review
I don’t follow Ring of Honor week to week, but I have been reviewing the major shows, and that’s what I’m doing here. I was able to check out ROH Masters of the Craft PPV that was held in Columbus, Ohio, just a stones throw away from where I live. I didn’t go, because I had a final to write, but I did want to make sure that you was able to review this, and well, here we go.

ROH Masters of The Craft April 15, 2018 Results and Review

Silas Young defeated Cheeseburger to retain the ROH TV Title

This opener was hot, and Cheesburger wasn’t getting buried. Silas Young was great here, and dia good job with letting his guard down here and there, taking the smaller man a bit less than serious, and eventually got the win. However, it was a lot of back and forth and some good moments.

Post match, Cheesburger got a beat down from Bully Ray, and then someone saved him, but I forgot.

Sumie Sakai, Tenille Dashwood, and Deonna Purrazzo defeated Brandi Rhodes, Madison Rayne, and Jenny Rose

The Women’s division in ROH is interesting. The champion is not a looker, but boy is she amazing in the ring. I love that they aren’t focusing on just “pretty women” for wrestling, and that’s not to say that Sumie Sakai isn’t pretty. I’m just saying that they are not focusing on just “looks” like WWE does for a lot of what they do. If you see this match, you’ll know what I mean, especially how Sakai’s move set complements the rest of the talent. This was a good match, short, but it was fun to watch.

The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and Flip Gordon defeated Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky, and Shane Taylor

A fun 20 minute match with lots of back and forth, and a unique move that looked like the Human Centipede. It’s a fun little match, with lots of back and forth, and wow, good stuff. The Bucks aka Bullet Club was able to get the big win here and that was fun to see.

ROH Tag Team Champions Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe defeated Matt Fitchett and Davey Vega

The Briscoes were able to knock out the new guys with relative ease. It was a fun match, but you knew that the new guys were going down. The Briscoes need more talent, simple as that.

Jay Lethal defeated Jonathan Gresham

Lethal and Gresham put on a clinic of how to build a wrestling match from boring to exciting. I’d love to see Gresham and Lethal take on Zack Sabre Jr. because this match showed off how amazing technical wrestling can become. This was great, and it kept building to more and more over time. I loved it.

Matt Taven defeated Cody in a First Blood match

Taven impressed me here, and Cody has such crisp moves at times. His dropkicks are so good, and his timing has improved so much since last I saw him in WWE and even against Omega. Taven is good too, and the two were pounding each other with an interesting focus. I didn’t know how the two would get blood, but it happened when Cody punched a championship belt with this bare fist, and busted it open. He kept beating on Taven and it looked like Taven was busted open, but it wasn’t, it was Cody’s hand and his blood that was fun. Great match and interesting finish, and I loved it.

Marty Scurll defeated Dalton Castle, Punishment Martinez, and Beer City Bruiser in a Defy or Deny match. By winning the match, Scurll is once again the No. 1 contender to the ROH Championship

I was confused by the rules, but over the match’s eliminations I figured it out. This was an interesting elimination match with Scurll getting the win and getting a title shot. Scurll is so good here, and the rest are good too, and for once, Dalton Castle showed off a great deal of skill in this match. I was surprised by how good this was. I loved it.

NJPW Sakura Genesis 2018 Results and Review

Sakura Genesis 2018 Okada vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
The opening day of pro wrestling’s greatest week started with an event featuring all of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s best talent, and there were 9 matches. Lots went on in this 4 hour event and I was absolutely thrilled to get to see it all go down. After 4 plus hours of competition, I am not sure how the WWE could compare with some of the amazing talent that the New Japan Pro Wrestling camp has. Let’s talk about how it all went down, and my thoughts on the event that started April 2018.

NJPW Sakura Genesis 2018 Results and Review

The Young Bucks defeated Bullet Club Members (Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi)

The opening match wasn’t very long, and it was the same style that the Young Bucks showed off in Long Beach. It was a fast paced, back and forth, standard high flying match with lots of tag team elements. The end came with the Bucks getting the win, in what seemed to be a predictable fashion if you ask me.

Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) defeated Suzuki-Gun (Taichi and Takashi Iizuki)

This was another tag match with some good comedy moments from Chaos, and some great action from Suzuki-Gun. I didn’t hate this match by any means, but it seemed like the two teams just put on the same match I’ve seen before. That didn’t mean that I didn’t like it, but for those harsh critics out there, you may find it repetitive. I found it fun to watch, and it was only around 8 minutes long anyway.

Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa) defeated Michael Elgin, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Togi Makabe in the Never Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Match

This was a fast paced affair with a lot of back and forth action. Michael Elgin is a beast! And Taguchi with Makabe were fun to watch as well, but the Bullet Club were on their game and it was hard for them to not win this one. I loved it. They were able to throw down some clever moves, reversals, and power elements that reminded me of the speed of the Usos, only bigger, badder, and more intense. I loved it.

Taguchi Japan (Hiroshi Tanahashi, Juice Robinson, and David Finlay) defeated Chaos (Hirooki Goto, Jay White, and Yoshi-Hasshi)

Another six man tag team match here, and while it was under 10 minutes, it just seemed like a lot of tag matches for the show. After the starting point, however, I didn’t mind, because the guys really put on some great moments. Lots of tag team momentum, and lots of high spots, with a mix of psychology and focus on submissions here and there. I had fun with this match, even if it ended a bit too swiftly for my taste.

Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Evil, and Sanada)

This was another six man tag, believe it or not, and the guys tore down the house with some good back and forth. I’m still very impressed with Davey Boy Smith Jr. here, and he truly needs more attention in the states, he’s really good here. Archer and Suzuki are good too, but the Ingobernables de Japon were no slouches here. I had a blast watching them all beat down each other, and the Suzuki and Naito element was great too! Good match, a bit short though.

Suzuki-gun (El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japon (Bushi and Hiromu Takahashi) and Roppongi 3K (Sho and Yoh) for the IWP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship

A triple threat match for the titles and it was a fast paced match with lots of back and forth. I found it to be great, and while I was already tired of so many tag matches, I still had fun with it. I think it’s because I grew up with Lucha Libre, and there’s a ton of tag matches in those events. This was fast, and only 13 minutes long, but it had some great back and forth action, double team moves, and even a ref pull. Great action, and the champs retain.

Will Ospreay defeated Marty Scurll in the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Match

This went 30 minutes and it was incredible Marty Scurll seemed to have Will Ospreay’s number in nearly every single way here. He had some amazing moments, including focusing on Ospreay’s neck and really causing damage to his head, including a cut at one point. There’s a lot of back and forth, and it wasn’t just Scurll getting some hard hits either. Every major counter to high spots could’ve been seen here, and the two eventually landed into a nice ending sequence that had Ospreay pulling out the win, but not necessarily winning the war. He looked hurt, and there were some major hits taken to pull this match together. Marty Scurll is an incredible talent, and wow, this match proved it yet again.

Bullet Club (Cody and Hangman Page) defeated The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi)

Another great tag team match, only this time it featured two heavy hitters from the Bullet Club, and it was action packed. Cody is a great heel, and Hangman Page is deceptively strong. He has Cesaro strength, and it showed several times during this match. Cody is a great heel, and was able to make this a great counter point to Kenny Omega and Ibushi’s good guy act. Omega and Ibushi were like well oiled machines in the ring, and they put on a show, but even though they busted Cody wide open, it didn’t matter, Cody and Page were able to get the win. Great match, and lots of action with a slight shift due to the Young Bucks coming out and asking what this is all for anyway.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Zack Sabre Jr. in the IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match

I am calling it here, this was one of the best matches I’ve seen all year. Zack Sabre Jr. had nearly every single counter to everything Okada did, and whenever Okada would get a little bit of breath, Sabre Jr was right there to stop him. He is truly the man with 1,000 holds, because he knew everything and how to counter it. Okada had to really work to stop him, and instead of focusing on hard hitting back and forth action, the finishers were in place, and wow, just wow. Lots of back and forth but mainly Zack Sabre Jr. putting on a clinic of submissions that never got old. This match went over 30 minutes, and I was all in from the start. Zack Sabre Jr. may be my favorite wrestler right now, even though he lost after a couple of rain makers to finish things off. Zack Sabre Jr. put Okada through the ringer, and he survived, and I’m impressed.

This was one hell of a show, and the main events were great to watch. There’s so much talent on this show, that I am not sure how WWE is going to top any of this. I was just beyond thrilled to catch it, and am a huge fan of this type of wrestling compared to WWE.

NJPW Strong Style Evolved March 25, 2018 Results and Review The Long Beach Spectacle

NJPW Strong Style Evolved March 25, 2018 Results and Review
Over the weekend, New Japan Pro Wrestling returned to the United States and were in Long Beach. I couldn’t make it because I live in Indiana now, but if I lived in Los Angeles still, you would better believe that I would be there watching and drinking with the rest of my friends in the Bullet Club. For those that know me, you know that I saw Matt and Nick Jackson in Culver City many times, as they were once called Slick Nick and Mr. Instant Replay. Anyways, I was able to check out all 4 hours and plus of the event that went down on March 25, 2018 in Long Beach, California. Here’s how it went down, and my two cents on the matches and more.

NJPW Strong Style Evolved March 25, 2018 Results and Review

The start of the show had Jim Ross and some random dude on commentary. I kid, he’s not random, but I don’t care. Let’s talk the show from Long Beach, California.

Roppongi 3K defeated SoCal Uncensored in a six man tag match

I thought for sure SoCal Uncensored would win here, considering they are in So Cal and they were riding high from their wins in ROH. R3K were way better here and it was interesting to see overall. Lots of high spots, fast paced wrestling, back and forth, and so much work from all sides of this one. I liked how it all worked out, and you got to see a great deal of focus on precision timing and more. Kazarian seemed to mess up his knee at one point, but it was a fast paced match with lots of action, and a great opener for only 11 minutes or so.

Taguchi Japan defeated Chaos in a tag team match

Another tag team match, and it wasn’t half bad. I was impressed with Juice Robinson and David Finlay’s toughness as the Japanese team were berating the bricks off of them in many ways. They were definitely getting a lot of offense in, despite the receipts getting cashed for some careless punches and kicks. The ending was nice, but the match was somewhat short overall.

Killer Elite Squad defeated Chaos in a tag team match

This was another team of Chaos guys and KES was fascinating to watch. Lance Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr were in tune here, and the son of The British Bulldog really impressed me. He reminded me of his father here, more than when he was in the WWE that’s for sure. I was so impressed with how it was all turning out, and was just impressed with the focused energy of the Killer Elite Squad overall. Chaos was good, but their pairing wasn’t as fun as the Taguchi Japan match.

Bullet Club Cody and Marty Scurll defeated Guerillas of Destiny

Both of these teams have elements of Bullet Club and Cody tried to stop the match overall. But it wouldn’t stop. The match was fast paced, and definitely one of the best match for tonight. GOD are insane, and wow, they are like the The Usos only bigger and somewhat stronger overall. I was so impressed with the fight and the moves. The Usos and GOD could have an insane overall match if they were able to get forward progress.

Los Ingobernables de Japon and Hiromu Takahashi defeated Taguchi Japan in an eight man tag team match

Another match with Taguchi guys, and I won’t spell them all out. However, this was a good match overall, with a lot of different elements of high flying action, lots of kick outs, lots of reversals, and a lot of elements that were no doubt a great work overall. Los Ingobernables de Japon are impressive here, and they won big here. I liked it a lot, and it was fun to see overall.

Will Ospreay defeated Jyushin Thunger Liger

This was supposed to be a match with Rey Mysterio, but after an injury, NJPW changed things up. Ospreay is one of the best high flyers in the world, and in this match it was fun to see how things worked out well enough. It was fast paced, Liger had some nice moves, including a brain buster to the outside, but it was Ospreay that would get the win after around 10 minutes. It was fun to watch.

Suzuki-Gun (Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr) defeated Chaos (Okada and Ishii) in a tag team match

Overall a fun match for under 20 minutes. This was a match that went forward to a lot of great back and forth action. It was fast paced throughout, and it featured some great high impact hits. I liked Zack Sabre Jr. and his constant reversals and submissions, he got the one up on Okada several times. Suzuki was great and Ishii were great hitting back and forth. It was fun.

Jay White defeated Hangman Page in the IWGP US Title Match

This was great. This was fun. However, it was slow. This was slow, but in the 25 minutes that it went, the two were able to throw everything but the kitchen sink at one another. It was fun to see the match go back and forth several times. White nearly broke Page’s chest with chops, and he wasn’t backing down. Lots of fighting to the floor, lots of back and forth, on the apron, reversals and more. This had room to breathe and it was White that got the big win. Nice fluid match, although a lot slower than everything else.

Golden Lovers defeated The Young Bucks

Nearly 40 minutes of match, and wow, everything you could expect from a wrestling match. There was high drama, there was a great story told, and the Young Bucks were all over the place. I was surprised by how good Omega and Ibushi worked together, and The Young Bucks were throwing themselves around the arena and it was fun to see go down. I enjoyed every aspect of this, and it was fun to see the shots that were taken out. To start Kenny Omega wasn’t that vicious with Matt Jackson due to his back injury, but over the match’s time frame, things picked up and they focused on it, then things went all out with table breaks, and double team moves, great back and forth, but then it was all over with double knees to the face to Matt Jackson and that’s that. Loved the 40 minute match, and it truly was a lot of action to see. Five stars all the way for me.

Post match, Cody Rhodes showed up and shoved Nick and yelled at Matt for losing. Then came Kenny Omega and fended him off, and tried to shake hands with the Young Bucks, but that wasn't going to go down.

In other elements, Rey Mysterio got jumped by Marty Scurll! That was fun. Mysterio apologized to the crowd for the injury but promised he’d be back.

Another thing that occurred was Jay White got beat up by Finlay and was challenged for the title next time.

Overall, New Japan Pro Wrestling lived up to the hype and though it was 4 hours and 20 minutes long, it never felt like it was boring or tired. I loved every second of it, and that main event, wow. Great stuff, and great overall night of wrestling. I can’t wait to see ALL IN in September, and I am definitely ALL IN!

ROH 16 Anniversary Show 2018 Results and Review

ROH 16 Anniversary Graphic
Well, after a bit of time, I finally was able to get my hands on ROH 16 Anniversary Show 2018. Since this is a flagship blog, I will be reviewing it here, the major PPV, not the television tapings that occurred afterwards. I almost went to this, but instead, focused on staying home and sleeping. But hey, that’s just me. Anyways, this happened in Las Vegas at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall. I don’t know the attendance, but I’m sure it’s fine. The following are the matches and my thoughts on them, as you would expect from this blog.

ROH 16 Anniversary Show 2018 Results and Review

Hiromu Takahashi defeated Flip Gordon

Takahashi had a slow start here, and Flip Gordon was great to see. He is so athletic and was able to counter attack the onslaught that Takahashi kept throwing down. Gordon’s moves were great, but it was the Japanese star that would get the big win. There’s a lot of back and forth here, and some great overall reactions and timing, with a focus on wrestling and dancing at one point. Gordon is great, and of course Takahashi is always fun to watch.

Marty Scurll defeated Punishment Martinez

I’ve never been impressed with Punishment Martinez, but in this match, he had a real test. Marty Scurll, the Villain, was great here. He played his role to the tee, and while Martinez had a great deal of offense, it was the Villain that outsmarted him in the end, including a table spot, a fake out powder spot, and a low blow. Scurll just keeps getting better and better.

Kenny King defeated Silas Young in the ROH TV Title Match

This was not that good for me. I was bored. The ending was ok, but I wasn’t invested in this match at all, so when it all went down, I didn’t care. It was ok at best. I found it to be somewhat slow, and plotting, and well, it wasn’t grand. King and Young put on about 15 minutes of slow paced wrestling, but there were a few bright spots, mind you. The suplex outside of the ring, for instance, was a good spot, other than that, though, meh.

SoCal Uncensored defeated The Hung Bucks for the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles in a Las Vegas Street Fight

This was a lot of fun with all the guys doing a great deal of work. The Young Bucks threw down a lot of reversals, tag team moves, and even went through a couple of tables. The SoCal Uncensored guys were great too, with Kazarian getting busted wide open, Scorpio Sky and Daniels throwing in some great high flying moves, and of course taking some great punishment. Both teams put on a show, and it’s fun to see a great street fight with hardcore rules. It’s better than a lot of matches I’ve seen in WWE this year. Fun for what it was and almost 20 minutes long.

Cody defeated Matt Taven

I’m not a huge Cody Rhodes fan, but in this match he did shine. It well paced, fast, and Taven kept up with him step for step. Bury The Bear was on the outside and was getting some chants, and Brandi Rhodes was there too, and she’s beautiful. The match itself went back and forth until there was a ref bump. That prompted a couple of thugs to come out and beat down Cody Rhodes, but he was wearing a cup! After Cross Rhodes, Matt Taven would go down for the three count. A good match, no doubt.

After the match, Bury The Bear pushed Rhodes and took of his head, and it was none other than KennY Omega! That’s right, Omega showed up and hit Rhodes with his finisher and left him for dead!

The Briscoes defeated The Motor City Machine Guns for the Tag Team Titles

Not a great match. It was a bit boring. I’ve seen these guys wrestle so much that by the time the Briscoes got the win, I was ready to move on. I guess after the Omega reveal, this show was getting me a bit bored. I don’t watch ROH TV from week to week so it’s hard to get interested in some matches. Either way, this had some good moments, and the Briscoes are just fast as ever, alongside the Machine Guns which always deliver fast paced action.

Dalton Castle defeated Jay Lethal in the ROH World Championship Match

A 26 minute match that wasn’t too bad. A good back and forth match with Lethal getting the upper hand in a lot of the sequences, but Castle coming back with a bit of finesse. Castle is an interesting champion, and while there are signs that he could be as good as Flair, he has his own elements. Castle wins big here, and Lethal loses out overall.

Good Riddance Cody Rhodes Is Gone

Cody Rhodes Wasn't Happy With A Six Figure Career
Over the weekend Cody Rhodes asked for his release from WWE, and they obliged to let him go. Twitter and other news outlets were really sad about the departure, but I keep it 100. I don’t see this as a sad thing, and I don’t see it as a wasted opportunity on WWE’s part.

Let’s put this clearly, Cody Rhodes aspirations were to be a WWE champion, but that’s never, ever, ever, going to happen. So he got butt hurt and quit. Oh well, goodbye.

No One Bought Merch

Before I get too far into this, let’s set this straight. You didn’t buy Cody Rhodes merch. You didn’t bring Cody Rhodes signs, and you didn’t go nuts for Stardust. Maybe for a moment, but not long term. Guess what happens to wrestlers that you don’t support? They get fired, they quit, and you don’t hear from them.

Now, if I’m wrong, then when Cody shows up in independent wrestling shows, let’s see those tickets sell out, let’s see him bring a failing brand like TNA upwards. Remember, Christian Cage? Remember Kurt Angle? Remember Sting? These guys all had a chance to bring TNA up and guess what? They didn’t do it.

Rhodes may be able to leave a nice six figure job, but most of us have to work 9 to 5 and make peanuts. We pray for dollars but we work for change, and yet all of these idiots are so sad and are clapping his leave. Screw you guys.

Rhodes is a talent.

He is a human being, and he deserves happiness, but not at my expense. Good riddance. Get the F out. Go make a name for yourself anywhere else, and then come back. Let’s see if you’re really that good at what you do. You want WWE championship gold? Prove it. Until then, the following statements are nothing more than a butt hurt wrestler crying about getting paid six figures.

The best actors don’t take lesser roles? Are you kidding me? BILL MURRAY “GARFIELD” Get the F Out Cody Rhodes, good riddance.

This is what Cody Rhodes had to say, and you can hear the millennial, self important, "i'm special" attitude come through.

Night of Champions 2011

I just might Order Night of Champions.

I don't know about the other matches, but the quick build of CM Punk vs. Triple H has me hooked. Tonight they were mouthing off and in the midst of them arguing, the mics stopped working and it seemed like HHH was seriously pissed off. More so than usual, and at that moment I felt that they weren't doing a "work" it had turned into a "shoot" and right before our eyes we saw the lines blur and that's something I haven't seen in a long time.

I am now seriously considering ordering this next payperview after a long drought.

Wow.

Talk about an explosive way to end Raw tonight.

The rest?

Nothing else really was that good, except for Cody Rhodes winning over Randy Orton with the classic heel move of hitting him with his face mask. I loved that part, it made my night.

Good stuff.

Other than that, Raw was a major waste, but I like seeing more talent getting in the shuffle, and I hate the brand split.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/7/11 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/7/11 Results

Edge defeated Kane in a last man standing match
Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler for the United States Title
Dolph Ziggler defeated The Big Show, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes
Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly
Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio in a 2 out of 3 falls match

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/7/11 Review

I'm a little frustrated this morning. I've failed to make any money this year, and well last year I didn't have a job, so I'm starting this year off with a lousy week, and wrestling is well, hit or miss. I had high hopes for tonight, so we'll see if all works out with Smackdown.

Edge defeated Kane in a last man standing match

I hate last man standing matches, but these two made a good one out of what I hate. The two battled in the ring, then eventually battled it out in the crowd, and started to climb upwards to the upper deck seats. They made it to the top of the building and they started fighting near the luxury suites. This no doubt had the crowd going, and I was marking out huge, since I haven't seen this kind of violence since Mankind fought the Rock. The two would eventually go back to the ring, and Kane took control of this one. He beat down Edge and then threw him through the announce table. Edge managed to beat out Kane in this match up, which ended with Edge hitting his patented spear but Kane couldn't get up as his leg buckled under him from a chair shot. Yep, no blood, a few brawls in the concessions, and this was over. Edge beat kane in a 20+ minute battle. I liked it enough, but it wasn't a four star classic in any sense of the word.

Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler for the United States Title

This match was a nice back and forth match up with great action from both men. The match had the crowd going amidst lots of Kofi Kingston offense and a hard fought battle. Ziggler managed to fight through with some nice couners, and I thought he'd once again win, but nope. Kofi hit a nice crossbody and beat Ziggler, then immediately, Ziggler wanted a rematch but lost after Trouble in Paradise, and Kofi wins.

I'm hoping Dolph gets pushed towards the world title, as he's got a lot of wrestling talent. He put on a good show in the matches, and Kofi did a lot of work.

Dolph Ziggler defeated The Big Show, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes

A triple threat match for the #1 contender tot he world title? I like the idea. Drew McIntyre was supposed to be involved, but somehow he was sidestepped and Dolph Ziggler was put into the match up thanks to Vickie, making this a fourway match up. McIntyre was beat up and isolated, and then Big Show took control over most of this match up, stomping out all the smaller men, with relative ease. The Future Shock DDT was hit on Big Show and it looked like Big Show would lose this one in the end, but he couldn't pin the big man down. Ziggler managed to hit his finisher on Cody Rhodes, making Dolph Ziggler the #1 contender. This match was quite interesting, a good overall match up even though there were a lot of short stops and breathers. Edge will face Ziggler, and I for one think it can be one of the better feuds in recent memory.

Wade Barrett came out to beat up Big Show, which was weird.

Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly

McCool had an ok match up, and beat down Kelly Kelly with relative ease. This match wasn't that great, but whatever.

Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio in a 2 out of 3 falls match

This match was interesting, and Mystery managed to have a lot of great action in this one, despite having his arm injured. Alberto Del Rio was able to manage a lot of the offense and counter from time to time, but it was obvious that he was out matched by a much faster Mysterio. The two traded falls but in the end, the ring announcer helped Alberto Del Rio get the second fall and beat Rey Mysterio yet again! This match was good, don't get me wrong, I just don't know where they are going with this feud. I love Del Rio's gimmick, and I'm hoping that they continue this feud somehow.

Overall a good night of wrestling tonight on Smackdown, and something that if you saw, You enjoyed too, I hope. Post match Mysterio mixed it up with Del Rio's ring announcer, and this match was touted as the bitter end...but I'm hoping it isn't.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/31/10 Results

Drew McIntyre defeated Trent Barretta
The Big Show defeated Cody Rhodes via disqualification
Edge & Rey Mysterio defeated Kane & Alberto Del Rio
Beth Phoenix & Natalya defeated Laycool
Dolph Ziggler defeated Jack Swagger & Kofi Kingston in a triple threat match

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/31/10 Review

HAPPY NEW YEAR for all of you out there reading this blog. All 3 of you! I still have no job, still have no internet access the house, and am writing you this from the local public library. I'm hoping that changes this year. If you'd like to help out, visit amazon.com here, and spend some money, every little bit helps.

The night opened up with Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero getting booed out of the building. Vickie said she had Vertigo and deserved compassion. After some talking out came Kofi Kingston and he got on the mic and said that Vickie's condition was BS.

I loved this segment. Kofi's not half bad on the mic, especially when he's just talking straight up. He doesn't need that Jamaican accent.

Jack Swagger has a new shirt and it is amazing. The new JACK SWAGGER SHIRT! WOOT! I'd buy it if I had a few dollars. Jack Swagger came out to the ring and cut a promo as well about the ladder match at TLC and how stupid it ended.

The three started to fight and out came Teddy Long and set up a triple threat Intercontinental Championship match for later.

The Big Show defeated Cody Rhodes via disqualification

Big Show came out to some cheers and he too had a new shirt, which looked good. Show seems a big lighter than usual, and he took it to COdy Rhodes. Rhodes really got beat down in this match, and it was not as "fake" as people seem to think. Dashing Cody Rhodes really got beat up, and the crowd was all over this match, especially when The Big Show put his BUTT in Cody Rhodes face. Dashing Cody Rhodes eventually walked away and got counted out as Big Show was just "too" much for the guy.

Backstage there was a party and it was ok. Some little moments and funny segments. Cole poked fun at Kaval for losing to Drew McIntyre.

There is NO heat on Drew. In fact, if you check out Botchamania's latest episode there's footage from the arenas, and NO ONE CARES! This guy sucks. I hate him.

Drew McIntyre defeated Trent Barretta

This match was interesting to see, and wasn't half bad. There was some nice back and forth action, but it took a nasty looking turn towards the end. Drew managed to get out of the way as Trent flew over the top rope and landed completely on his back and neck. He was going for a Suicide Dive over the top rope and just knocked himself out. The match did had some nice brutality from Drew, and it was interesting to see. Barretta lands funny and it looked like he legit knocked himself out.

After the match he got the Future Shock DDT and it was over. I liked it. Yes, I liked it, even though I hate Drew.

Edge's music hits and I mark out huge! His music is just so awesome, and him as champion isn't half bad, I just hope they find a good opponent for him, because if they rehash Rey Mysterio or Kane, I'll be very sad.

Edge & Rey Mysterio defeated Kane & Alberto Del Rio

This match wasn't that great. It had some nice spots, good back and forth fast paced offense from all the guys, but they barely broke a sweat. Mysterio was isolated for a good part of the match, but Edge would eventually get the hot tag, and get Kane knocked out of the match, and hit Del Rio with a sick Spear to win the match. The 619 went straight into the Spear and that was awesome, so the good guys win again, and everyone goes home happy. It was a good sequence, I liked it, and the crowd was definitely into it, which was nice.

Beth Phoenix & Natalya defeated Laycool

Not a terrible match and interesting to see what real women's wrestlers can do. The match had some nice offense, with a good amount of time given. Laycool lost again, and that was that. This is going to get stale though.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Jack Swagger & Kofi Kingston in a triple threat match

I like the idea of the IC Title being given main even status. It's nice to see how things are going well in this division, and watching Kofi and Swagger's interaction with Dolph Ziggler was great. The offense was fast at some points and slowed down towards the end with some nice back and forth actions. Swagger was completely knocked out by Kofi with a nice ddt. Vickie kept getting involved to stop pins. Dolph Ziggler was able to win after trouble in paradise took out swagger and that was that. Ziggler rolled up Kofi and retained the title, which was interesting to see.

Dolph's continual roll up wins was great, but he put on a show with the other two guys in this match. I liked the match and am glad that the WWE is doing a lot more wrestling with the secondary titles. Ziggler and Daniel Bryan are great up and coming stars and I hope they turn into world champion s someday. A good overall match a good overall night of wrestling with nothing too stupid.

Next week Rey Mysterio will face Alberto Del Rio in a 2 out of 3 falls match up on Smackdown. They'll also have the World Title match with Kane and Edge in a last man standing match...I'm already bored.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Results

Kofi Kingston & Kaval defeated Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Masters
The Miz defeated Rey Mysterio
Santino & Kozlov defeated Tyler Reks & Chavo Guerrero
The Miz & Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge & Rey Mysterio (no contest)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 12/17/10 Review

Edge started the show to a huge ovation. I absolutely love Edge's music and his entrance. I really like Edge when he's not involved in hokie story lines and looking like an idiot. Edge started talking on the mic, and it was boring, but his entrance and music was awesome. A video recap of the last 4 weeks was shown and how stupid it really was. I don't know anyone that liked it at all, and hopefully their feud ends at TLC.

Backstage, Teddy Long set up a four way TLC match at the ppv. Well, let's be honest, he set up a triple threat match if Kane didn't show up, but of course I heard a spoiler on some random podcast, and knew that the stipulation would be made after all. So, Teddy Long set up a four way TLC match...which sounds a lot better to me, than the standard one. I hope it is great.

Kofi Kingston & Kaval defeated Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger

It's funny to see Kofi Kingston in the opening match, considering that just a few months back he was in the main event picture with Randy Orton. Remember that? Neither does Kofi.

There's this guy that works at the Jewelry store in the mall where I live and he looks exactly like Jack Swagger. I like the new Jack Swagger shirt, by the way, but the guy at the mall is named Zack, so I've been calling him "Zack" Swagger. For all I know, Jack Swagger is actually working at the mall, when he's not jobbing out on Smackdown.

Kofi Kingston will face Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger in a Ladder Match for the intercontinental championship. I for one am glad to see that on paper. Too bad Kaval is wasted on this night.

The match was your standard tag match, with Kaval taking a lot of damage up front. Kofi and Kaval both used a lot of fast paced maneuvers to try and thwart the harder, slower pace of Swagger and Ziggler. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise at the end of the match to pin Ziggler with relative ease, and this match helps get Kaval in the winners circle for once. I doubt Kingston will get the belt, but Swagger as Intercontinental Champion? I can see that. Kofi has some sick height on his jumps, I'm hoping he dives off the top of a ladder on Sunday, we'll have to wait and see. At this point though, I think I miss Shelton Benjamin.

Post match, Jack Swagger decked Dolph Ziggler.

The Miz is on Smackdown, with Alex Riley. The Miz is one of the most media champion we've had in a very long time, and that's one of the coolest things about the Miz's title reign. No other champion has had the media blitz that The Miz has gotten, and he truly deserves it, since he worked amazingly hard to get to that spot. No one can take that away from him.

JTG got a full new promo! Str8 outta Brooklyn with JTG! He's acting the fool, which is funny and could actually work. He can talk, and getting him on the midcard could be positive.

Drew McIntyre was hitting on some random diva...oh man, cheating on Tiffany already? Oh that's Kelly Kelly! I heard she's a ring rat, and it's confirmed by a lot of wrestlers in shoot interviews.

Cody Rhodes defeated Chris Masters

I recall Chris Masters being a knockoff of Lex Luger's old gimmick, but lately, he's nothing more than a glorified jobber and this match proved once again that he's nothing more than that. This fast match really was one sided, with Cody Rhodes eventually hitting Cross Rhodes to get the victory. I like his finisher, I just wish he had a more prominent feud or title chase or something. Chris Masters can go to TNA and help Rob Terry or something.

The Miz defeated Rey Mysterio

I want to point out that no other WWE Champion in recent months has done as much as champion as the Miz. Randy Orton, Sheamus, and even Triple H were NEVEr on smackdown in the same capacity that Miz has been in his short weeks as champion. Rey Mysterio also was booked as a weak champion, and this is further proof that some of the "higher" champions don't wrestle on the "B" show, but Miz will do anything, and that's a great testament for him.

The Miz showed in this match that he's not just a random champion, he put on a great deal of offense. He countered some of Mysterio's moves, he fought hard and Mysterio was not quick enough to put the miz over, and beat him. THe Miz actually put on a great show and I loved it. Mysterio went for his splash but Miz put up his knees and Mysterio lost this one. This was definitely a high contender for match of the week.

Post match, Edge ran down after Alberto Del Rio beat up Rey, and The Miz started fighting Edge, and this prompted a match to be made with the four of them wrestling in a tag match. Miz is doing double duty tonight, which is another testament to how hard working he is for a new champion.

Layla and Michelle McCool came out and protested their tables match on the ppv, which was funny to hear. They got real heat, but I'm sure they'll go straight through tables this weekend, or so I hope. Beth Phoenix and Natlya came out with a painted Table, and they set it up in the middle of the ring, which was actually really cool to see. THe table was pink and completely altered. Phoenix and Natalya nearly put Layla through the table, but McCool saved her. This weekend will definitely be interesting to see.

Santino & Kozlov defeated Tyler Reks & Chavo Guerrero

This week, Chavo Guerrero got a much better partner to face the tag team champions. Have I mentioned already that I love the new Santino shirt? If I had money, I'd buy it, but I'm broke still. This match started relatively slow with Tyler Reks facing Kozlov. Guerrero got a tag in and eventually the match picked up pace with the cruiserweight in the ring. Santino got the tag and showed that he knew more wrestling than just his comedy pieces, and that was nice to see, although he's far from being a credible champion. I'm surprised that Chavo can't get over, no matter what WWE does. He should go back to his "White" gimmick. Kozlov was impressive in this match, and that's probably because he was facing opponents that complimented his style. Santino hit the Cobra and the crowd went nuts, and the tag team champions roll through yet another tag team of random opponents. Hey, it wasn't a classic, but it will have to do, I liked it enough.

Edge & Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio & The Miz

Not a terrible match, it had a lot of action. The Miz and Edge could probably put together a great deal of momentum in a feud. Edge managed to get the best of Miz here, especially by countering the Skull Crushing Finale with the Impaler DDT. Mysterio hit the 619 on Miz, and Edge hit the spear, but Kane hit the ring, and this match was another none finish.

There's nothing worse in wrestling than a stupid non finish to what's supposed to be a good match. This match was decent and managed to have a good deal of action, fast pacing, and interesting match ups. Kane beat up Edge, but out ran the Smackdown locker room to stop it?! I don't know why they would care. Meanwhile on the outside, it looked like Husky Harris and Rey Mysterio were fighting. The locker room split the two men, to try and get some sort of "order" but once again, I don't understand the logic behind them trying to keep the two apart.

That was Smackdown. Not exactly a great night in wrestling, but the show seemed to fly by, and I liked it enough, despite the mediocre points.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/5/10 Results

Edge vs Alberto Del Rio No Contest
Dolph Ziggler defeated JTG
Mvp defeated Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes in a triple threat match
Vickie Guerrero defeated Kaitlyn
Tyler Reks defeated Chris Masters
Team Smackdown defeated Nexus

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/5/10 Review

The show started with Edge coming to the ring immediately, as he would be facing Alberto Del Rio in a one on one match up first.

Edge vs Alberto Del Rio No Contest

This match was a good overall back and forth match with lots of random spots to consider, but it was cut short. Just when Edge looked like he was going to win this one, Nexus ran down and beat up both competitors, throwing them out of the ring, and ending the match in a no contest.

Nexus got on the mic, but the Smackdown locker room ran down and beat everyone up. However, one thing to note, there was no sign of Wade Barrett.

Dolph Ziggler defeated JTG

JTG is still employed? JTG loses this match, and didn't look like he coudl win at any point during the contest. Dolph won with the sleeper hold and that was that.

Post match, one of the NXT rookies came down and got slapped by Vickie Guerrero.

Mvp defeated Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes in a triple threat match

The three men put on a good overall match up. There was a lot of distinct action from all three men, and it was interesting to see how they would all interact. MVP eventually looked like the favorite, and would manage to get the pinfall! MVP will face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title sooner than later. I didn't hate this match, and out of the three, still think that Dashing Cody Rhodes has the most promise.

Vickie Guerrero defeated Kaitlyn

The worst match in Smackdown history...seriously...worst match EVER!

Tyler Reks defeated Chris Masters

A glorified squash match that I was too tired to pay attention to.

Team Smackdown defeated Nexus

This match only proved to push Edge higher as he got the pinfall and was able to one up Otunga and Kane at the same time with two spears. Overall, not a bad match, but it fell flat with me, that's for sure.

Another Smackdown has come and gone, and it wasn't all that bad. It's not very good either, but then again, no one is watching. The ratings are bad, and the stories just aren't as compelling as the A show is right now. Nexus losing doesn't make sense to me, and no signs of Wade or John Cena is interestnig, and I'm sure we'll find out later.

The week is over for me, I'm going to sleep, I feel like crap. 14 months and still no job....and no hope.

WWE Smackdown 10/29/10 Results and Review

WWE Smackdown 10/29/10 Results

Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler
Jack Swaggger defeated Kaval
The Divas had an eight man tag match
Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre and Dashing Cody Rhodes
Edge defeated Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio

WWE Smackdown 10/29/10 Review

I'm dead tired today. Just way too tired lately.

The show started with a recap of Taker getting Buried alive. I hate the Kane vs Undertaker feud right now...just sooo sick of it. I don't give 2 craps about it! There's no reason to! What a boring ass feud.

Kane cut a lame promo about Undertaker, no one cared, I didn't that's for sure.

Alberto Del Rio came out in the middle of Kane's random stupid speech. Could Del Rio be the next World Heavyweight Champion? I'd pay to see it happen. Del Rio beat up Kane, but Mysterio came out and tried to attack him. Edge then came out as well....Mysterio hit the 619 on Paul Bearer, which was cool.

Vickie Guerrero came out in a full leopard suit! I kid you not. Vickie has lost some serious weight...wow....that's all I will say about that.

Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler

This is the third helping to this series of matches and once again it delivered. Another classic victory for Bryan, terrible theme music, and overall a good match. Ziggler looked great in defeat, and Bryan once again proves that he's quite good. Lots of great spots here, lots of great reversals, the Zig Zag and the Sleeper Hold, but that didn't get the win. Vickie in the Leopard suit is actually not half bad...I must be seriously tired.

Jack Swaggger defeated Kaval

Kaval once again, just got beat. Kaval did get a good amount of offense, so it wasn't a complete squash, but Swagger wins yet again. Swagger made Kaval tap out, and he's just a glorified jobber to say the least. He's on an epic losing streak, much like Mikey Whipwreck, hopefully it pays off in the end.

The Divas had a costume contest...it was boring...I didn't want to see it.

The Divas had an eight man tag match...not sure who won.

The match had all the divas in costume trying to wrestle. It was terrible...I couldn't tell who was who, and someone won...or no one won...I don't know what was going on.

Big Show & Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre and Dashing Cody Rhodes

This match wasn't a classic, and it only served to break up the former tag champions. Big Show won in impressive fashion yet again. Big Show and Kofi as a tag team? Why not? The match was watchable, but only because I knew Show would get the win with relative ease.

Edge defeated Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio

Edge became the #1 contender here, which was cool. The final spot was great. Del Rio had Mysterio up on his shoulders and Edge speared Del Rio, giving Mysterio an Electric Chair at the same time! Edge wins, he'll probably get the belt, Kane will retire, and I'll go back to sleep.

Smackdown was ok at best, not really as captivating as Raw, but then again it is the "B" show.

WWE Bragging Rights 2010 Results

Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission
David Otunga & John Cena defeated Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre for the Tag Team Championships
Ted Dibiase Jr defeated Goldust
Layla defeated Natalya
Kane defeated The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match
Team Smackdown defeated Team Raw in the Bragging Rights match
Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton via disqualification

WWE Bragging Rights 2010 Review

The latest ppv from the WWE had some decent build up, so here we go, let's see how it went down.

Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission

Daniel Bryan needs new theme music.

This match started out slow, with each wrestler trying to outdo the other in submission style, mat wrestling, and it seemed that Daniel Bryan had all the right counters. Meanwhile, Ziggler kept leaving himself open and that's when Bryan ran full force towards him with full shots to the head with knees and kicks. Bryan got some chants early on, but eventually the crowd died down. Ziggler had some good control in this match up, but Bryan was the one that was impressive overall. The crowd was completely behind Daniel Bryan, which was awesome to see. Ziggler hit some nice slams, and reverse impact moves, and even countered Bryan at times, showcasing that he has some strong wrestling talent alongside his finisher. Daniel Bryan eventually would get a second wind, and make Ziggler pay, which prompted uproars from the crowd, once again impressing the naysayers, including Michael Cole. Bryan's missile dropkick from the apron was insane! I can't believe how far Bryan can leap off the ropes, and it's just a testament to the guy that he held his own against a much larger Dolph Ziggler. Towards the end of the match, Daniel Bryan tried to do a super backplex off the top rope, but Ziggler countered into a pinfall only to get reversed into a pin attempt by Bryan which prompted uproars and everyone was calling this match of the year for sure. After the nearfalls, the two hit a sickening thud of a double crossbody attempt which really got the crowd going and made this match more than just another opening contest. Ziggler hit a leg drop of sorts but the count was broken up (after 3) because of Daniel Bryan's foot on the ropes! Dnaiel Bryan locked in his Labbel Lock submission and made Dolph Ziggler tap out! A quality opener, a high candidate for match of the night, and the show just opened! It was a very solid, very good entertaining match, something that I've noted about Ziggler in past matches. Ziggler vs Mysterio 1 especially. Bryan wins, and post match, Vickie and Dolph get thrown out of the building!

In the backstage area The Miz praised Daniel Bryan, for once...wow.

The tag team champions were in the ring talking about how everyone was scared of them, and that there was no tag championship match, but in the middle of their speeches, an email from the Anonymous General Manager came through.

He set up a match with Nexus vs The Tag Team Champions!

David Otunga & John Cena defeated Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre for the Tag Team Championships

This was an intriguing tag team match up, with John Cena and Otunga once again teaming to try and get on the winning side. Cena came out running and fired up the crowd, and despite being forced into this match, it seemed like he had a major chance of getting things going for his team. Otunga started the match, and after getting mauled by the champs, he tagged in John Cena. Cena was not too over powering, wrestling a straight up style and not his typical brawling. It was nice to see John Cena doing MORE than his 5 moves. Specifically pointing out that he did a very nice Snap-Release Fisherman's Suplex and a nice Delayed Suplex. Otunga kept trying to get Cena to tag, but Cena refused, and that changed the momentum of the match up. Cena eventually did his super hero gimmick, without tagging in Otunga and won the tag team champions by making Cody Rhodes tap out!

Post match Otunga was celebrating as if he won the titles himself! John Cena was not thrilled with the over zealousness of Otunga and for his troubles, he gave Otunga a major Attitude Adjustment, then took the titles and left with both belts!

The match was good, but you have to wonder why the WWE Champions could easily be put away by 1 man? Seriously, John Cena single handedly defeated the tag team champions! That was odd, but I'll give it to wwe for continuing the story line quite well.

Ted Dibiase Jr defeated Goldust

Goldust on ppv? I marked out huge! I can't believe that Goldust is on ppv in 2010! Goldust started this match fast, but Ted Dibiase was able to change the complexion of the match slowly, and eventually Goldust was back in jobber mode while Ted unloaded on him. The crowd was going for Goldust in this one, and eventually made this match a nice one. On the outside, Maryse beat up Aksana! Aksana then got thrown into the ring, and that prompted Goldust to get distracted and let Ted get the upper hand in this match up. He eventually won with a ddt, which was a bit odd, but I guess that's that.

Post match, Aksana attacked Maryse, and took the Million Dollar belt! She then essentially seduced Ted Dibiase long enough to get Goldust to hit the FINAL CUT on Ted. Goldust leaves with the Million Dollar Belt and that's that. Not a terrible match, but not a four star classic either. I thought it was quite entertaining, and am surprised that so far, I haven't hated the ppv.

Layla defeated Natalya

Laycool together once again kept their title, with Layla taking most of the heavy lifting. Natalya got a few shots in, but it was Michelle McCool on the outside that made the match interesting. I liked it enough, but it was a short match and really didn't pay off for the "feud" that they've been doing.

Kane defeated The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match

I'm a big fan of the original Buried Alive match and the one where Austin, other than that? I'm not a big fan of this match. The Undertaker had a lot of this match sewn up, but Kane wasn't a push over. Kane managed to wrestle his way to a watchable match, and Undertaker wasn't his "vintage" self. Just one day after punking out Brock Lesnar at UFC, Undertaker had this thing sewn up after a lot of in ring brawling. Undertaker eventually locked in his Hell's Gate lock and rolled Kane into the ditch. He then got Paul Bearer and was going to throw him into the grave too. BUt before he could, out ran the Nexus! Nexus ran out for no apparent reason, making this match awesome! I loved how Taker was getting beat down by Nexus, and that let Kane get out of the grave! Kane hit Undertaker with the Urn, and then threw him into the grave. The Nexus then buried the Undertaker, literally! The feud sucks. The match was barely watchable, but I guess that's ok. I can't believe Kane is still World Heavyweight Champion, and I can't believe Undertaker loses again...after punking out Brock Lesnar. Yep, that's the end of Taker...for now. I guess he'll want a piece of Nexus now too, right?

Post match, the lights went out and lightning struck, and that was that. Nothing else happened. Undertaker is dead? I don't know, I'm tired.

Team Smackdown defeated Team Raw in the Bragging Rights match

This match was ok to say the least. It was your standard elimination match that should've been reserved for Survivor Series, but I liked it enough. It was way better than the Buried Alive match that preceded it. Santino went for the Cobra but was thwarted by none other than Tyler Rex.

Tyler Rex eliminated Santino.

Big Show and Ezekiel Jackson were up next after a quick tag. Mysterio got into the match and was hitting on all cylinders, prompting a tag to Kofi, but Ezekiel started to over power the smaller guys, which looked good, and the match started to once again roll through. Lots of quick tags, lots of non-stop offense, no real rest holds, and that's why this match was way better than the Buried Alive match. Sheamus hit the High Cross and eliminated Kofi.

Sheamus eliminated Kofi Kingston.

The match continued and it was Rey Mysterio trying to outdo Sheamus, but after some quick tags, this match moved into Raw's favor which was nice. The crowd was going nuts for CM Punk, and started a massive chant at this point. THis part of the match just continued to move back and forth, with Mysterio taking a lot of punishment, before getting blind tagged by Alberto Del Rio! Del Rio and Mysterio had some tense moments in this match, despite being on the same team, including a spot where Del Rio threw Mysterio into the gaurd rail before attacking Cm Punk. Rey Mysterio played up an injury and was essentially out of the match for the time being. Del Rio hit a nice bridge Suplex pin attempt, as Mysterio was looking legit hurt. Eventually Swagger came in, and the All American American American American was doing the Smackdown bidding. Punk was then the focus of the Smackdown attack. Starship Pain eventually landed the Raw team another elimination, and Swagger got tossed.

John Morrison eliminated Jack Swagger.

Tyler Rex somehow maintained a spot on the Smackdown team up to this point, which was odd, cause he's just new. He did quite well against Sheamus and others in this match, so it's interesting to see how they'll use him in the near future. A Bro-kick knocked out Rex, and Raw was still on top at this point.

Sheamus eliminated Tyler Rex.

Big Show came in, like a house on fire and started mopping up against Sheamus. Hornswoggled got shoved hard, and that prompted Show to beat down Sheamus on the outside, which eliminated two people at once.

Big Show and Sheamus were eliminated via double countout.

Only Edge and Alberto Del Rio were left in the ring against most of the Raw team.

Edge started against R Truth, and quickly got behind with Truth hitting lots of moves and yelling "what's Up" randomly. A spear out of the corner eliminated R Truth.

Edge eliminated R Truth.

John Morrison got into the ring and quickly knocked out edge, but not enough to get Starship Pain to land, which prompted another Spear out of the corner, giving Edge the "edge".

Edge eliminated John Morrison.

Punk came into the ring and was immediately hit with the Impaler DDT. Punk missed a spear and Del Rio got into the ring with a blind tag. I wasn't sure where this match was going, but one thing was for sure, Del Rio is the ultimate heel. Punk reversed the Del Rio finisher into a Back Slide, and this match was over! Del Rio was now eliminated, but it seemed like that was the plan for Del Rio all along!

Cm Punk eliminated Alberto Del Rio.

Rey Mysterio ran down and beat up Deli Rio, and rejoined the match. Edge and Mysterio vs three Raw members, and the crowd as was I, were captivated. The Miz finally got into the match, and he was hitting hard and fast, trying to get the better of Edge and Mysterio and win the match for his team. The match was definitely awesome, as was Miz. Mysterio got back into the match but was equalized by CM PUnk, who was still in this match folks!

Rey Mysterio eliminated Cm Punk

Zeke got into the match and immediately started working on Rey Mysterio. He was stomping out Mysterio with relative ease. Mysterio hit Ezekiel with the 619, but an odd exchange between Mysterio and Zeke looked like Mysterio only got a 2 count, but nope, he eliminated Zeke.

Rey Mysterio eliminated Ezekiel Jackson.

That left Edge & Mysterio with Miz solo on Raw. Miz got a lot of help from his right hand man A-Rod. Mysterio got a huge tag, and that prompted Edge to hit a spear on MIZ and pinned THE MIZ!

Edge eliminated The MIz to win the Bragging RIghts match and trophy! A quality bragging rights match with lots of nearfalls, lots of great action, and just an overall pleasure to watch. Despite the botches, despite the weird finishes, I liked it. Edge and Mysterio wins!

The main event officially started at around 2 hours and 25 minutes into the ppv, so that gives you an idea about how much time the final match up was given. I wasn't sure who'd win, but I had a hunch....

Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton via disqualification

John Cena refused to get involved with the match, despite Wade Barrett asking him too. Orton was in control for the majority of this match up. Wade got in a few shots, but it looked to me as though Orton was in full control of this, including some very stupid looking rest holds. Orton just seemed like he was winning. That's not to say that Barrett wasn't in control at points in the match, it just seemed like Orton was getting the better of the exchanges. The ref got knocked out, which meant that it was time for Barrett to get some help. Cena was then asked to get on the apron and Wade Barrett got thrown into him, causing Cena to go into the guard rail. Nexus ran down and beat up Orton! The ref was still out cold! Nexus was pummeling Orton! This looked like Wade Barrett would get the title! Despite Orton getting beat down by all of Nexus, he still managed to get back into the match, hit his DDT and start setting up his RKO, but Cena managed to get into the ringand attack Barrett!!

Post match, Cena was going to give Orton the title, but Orton hit CENA with an RKO! Barrett wins, but Orton retains! Yep.

Raw will be interested. The ppv was good, with the exception of the Buried Alive match. Wow...this was weird.

WWE Monday Night Raw 10/18/10 Results and Review

WWE Monday Night Raw 10/18/10 Results

Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty
Randy Orton & John Cena defeated Husky Harris & Michael McGullicutty
Natalya defeated Alicia Fox
Team Smackdown defeated Team Raw in a Battle Royal

WWE Monday Night Raw 10/18/10 Review

Teddy Long came out and introduced the trophy for Bragging Rights and whatever. Michael Cole got onto the general manager's computer and told Teddy Long to leave or else...but Teddy Long went to the podium and disconnected the RAW GENERAL MANAGER! Yep.

Ezekiel Jackson returned...both teams from Bragging Rights were fighting in the middle of the ring! Just a huge brawl here. Nothing too crazy, I liked it enough.

Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty

Once again, the tag team champions prevail, with a great amount of offense involved. The Hart Dynasty looked to not be on the same page, and that's what cost them the match. Nothing too crazy here, average tag match, with a few good spots, and once again, another team splits up...showcasing the lack of real tag teams in the WWE.

Goldust got beat up by Ted Dibiase, but FINAL CUT was hit, and Ted Dibiase was laid out cold! I love the push, I'm hoping the push continues as Goldust is now getting the "spotlight"!

Randy Orton & John Cena defeated Husky Harris & Michael McGullicutty

There's nothing like a good burial, huh? The top faces on Raw beat up the new comers to the NXT crew, and this match was just that..a burial. I liked it enough, with the standard power moves here and there, Orton getting the RKO, Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment and that's about it.

Post match, Nexus came out and Orton was targeted and beat up as Cena watched.

Vickie Guerrero came out with Dolph Ziggler, but that only prompted Daniel Bryan to come out and challenge Ziggler to a match against Daniel Bryan at Bragging Rights!!!!

It could be a 4 star classic folks!

The two brawled and that was awesome.

Vickie Guerrero was humiliated by the divas, which was funny, then Daniel Bryan was invited to have a dance party in the ring, and well that was that.

Natalya defeated Alicia Fox

Once again, Natalya wins an easy match. There's nothing to note here. It was lame.

Big Show vs The Miz

The Big Show fought The Miz here, and it was a squash match to say the least and it was a non finish...until....

Teddy Long came out and declared the match a Smackdown vs Raw Battle Royal!

Team Smackdown defeated Team Raw in a Battle Royal

This was a fun little match and it was a Smackdown win, that's about it.

The show was fast paced, and went by way too fast for me. I don't even remember much of it, other than Edge and Big Show at the end of the show standing tall. Not bad I guess. We'll see what the ppv will bring us, that's for sure.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/15/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/15/10 Results

Rey Mysterio defeated Cody Rhodes
Jack Swagger defeated MVP
Alberto Del Rio defeated Chris Masters
Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler
Kaval lasted 5 Minutes with the Big Show
Tyler Rex defeated Kaval
Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/15/10 Review

I hate the Smackdown music. It sucks.

Undertaker was on top of the building, looking like a chump.

WE then moved to Teddy Long talking about Bragging Rights and setting up a team for Team Smackdown.

Rey Mysterio defeated Cody Rhodes

This is going to shock some, but Rey Mysterio and Dashing Cody Rhodes put on one hell of a match. Yes, I kid you not, these guys put on more than a pasable match. Coody Rhodes had counters, psychology, and lots of great points of the match, meanwhile Rey Mysterio wasn't just getting dominated with ease, he was being out smarted at a lot of points by a smart Rhodes. Despite Mysterio getting the win in the most obvious of fashions, Cody Rhodes did manage to put up one heck of a fight, which was nice to see from the youngster.

Jack Swagger defeated MVP

MVP still manages to get a crowd reaction, despite not getting a massive push like he did before. Swagger's mascot got thrown into the announce team, which was a great point of interest. Swagger and MVP worked a passable match with Swagger picking up the win and getting a spot on Team Smackdown. I didn't hate it, you probably didn't either. The addition of that eagle is awesome, in my view.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Chris Masters

This match was a glorified squash match. Del Rio beat a much larger and motivated Chris Masters. This match was not a technical masterpiece, and like I said, it was a glorified squash match.

Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler

The up and coming star Ziggler, was definitely on point in this match up. My only complaints came with Edge taking some insane bumps for no apparent reason and then not even selling the injuries. He got a Zig Zag to the steel steps! That should've knocked him out or at least knocked him silly, instead Edge made a sickening comeback. The crowd was NOT into it, and you could hear the "canned" post-production pops during this match up, which was just sad, because there were some nice spots. Edge managed to get a spear off of a diving Ziggler which looked interesting, and was worth the slow paced match up. Edge won, and I didn't mind seeing the Intercontinental Champion buried.

Kaval lasted 5 Minutes with the Big Show

Kaval joined Team Smackdown by taking the Big Show's best shots. Show let Kaval win, is what Michael Cole said, and that's fine...Kaval gets a minor push, I don't mind. I like Kaval, I hope he does well.

Tyler Rex came down to the ring and cut a promo on Kaval. I admit, I've seen Tyler Rex at live shows, and he can go, so it's interesting to see the WWE use him in a wrestling capacity.

Tyler Rex defeated Kaval

Tyler Rex came down and squashed Kaval, and that was the end of Kaval's run in the main event. I don't know what they are doing with Kaval, but he's on an epic lose streak just like Mikey Whipreck was for a long time.

Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre

I don't see what the WWE sees in Drew McIntyre, he completely sucks. I do NOT like the guy at all. Kofi won yet again, and that's that. He's on the Smackdown team and McIntyre can hopefully get fired.

Kane came down cut a lame promo, and out came Undertaker. They brawled, and that's that. I HATE this feud, and there's NO reason why KANe should have the title, absolutely no reason for it. It's stupid.

Lightning and fire happened, I booed the crap out of this...I hated it. Ugh...what a terrible way to end an otherwise good smackdown.

No Bragging Rights, there will be....a BURIED ALIVE match. Not bad.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/1/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/1/10 Results

Dolph Ziggler vs MVP (no contest)
Natalya, The Bellas & Kelly Kelly defeated Laycool, Maryse & Alicia Fox
The Nexus defeated The Big Show
The Undertaker defeated CM Punk
Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes
John Cena vs Kane in a lumberjack match with nexus (no contest)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 10/1/10 Review

Friday Night Smackdown moved to SyFy and I didn't care, you didn't care, and apparently Greenday is the new theme song? Ugh...lousy start. THe show started right away with an intercontinental title match!?! I guess that's cool.

Dolph Ziggler vs MVP (no contest)

I'm a fan of Dolph Ziggler, he's actually a good overall worker and I think he has a lot of potential to be a great mid-carder. I don't see him as a world title contender, but as the IC champion or US champion? Yep! This match was getting really good, I liked it, and then THE NEXUS came out and jumped Ziggler! That was the end of this match.

Nexus then got into the ring and jumped MVP!

Big Show came out for the save, but he was handling the guys easily...which was interesting to see. Nexus eventually won this round.

John Cena ran out, and he got beat up too.

Big show changed things up with a chair. I didn't care.

Natalya, The Bellas & Kelly Kelly defeated Laycool, Maryse & Alicia Fox

Terrible as usual. This is just stupid. The commentary switched to promoting Mick Foley's book, which was odd. The crowd was dead, and I was coughing up a lung since I'm sick still...and still can't get a damn job....oh well. Maryse tapped out to the Sharpshooter and that was that. Laycool together are kind of sexy...I wouldn't mind saying "what's up?" but other than that, this match sucked.

Jack Swagger came out to sing his own praises, and eventually Edge came out to mop up. Oh and there was an "Eagle" in the ring...and Edge beat it up. Swagger was dressed as a king...ugh...this was so stupid. Not since Angle was interupted by Shane McMahon have I cared for an "angle" of this type. The mascot got speared and I guess that got a cheap pop.

The Nexus defeated The Big Show

The whole Nexus did something that they couldn't do at ANY OTHER TIME! They beat 1 man. They beat Big Show and won. If this were John Cena, he'd rise up and beat all of them!

The Undertaker defeated CM Punk

What the heck? Is CM Punk now a resident jobber? He loses again clean. Undertaker sucks, Punk is getting "buried" and ugh...I'm tired of these recycled stories.

Rey Mysterio returned from a fractured arm? Stupid. Alberto Del Rio and Mysterio had words, and that was that. Del Rio escaped. I give up...Mysterio beat up the ring announcer, and that was that.

Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes

As if this was a suprrise. Orton barely even broke a sweat here. Orton not only beat Rhodes he hit McIntyre with an RKO! I'm sick of these "Super Hero" characters. It was ok for me in the 80's but now? Ugh...we've moved so far away from this. Sheamus hit the "bro" kick. I don't know the real name nor do I care...Sheamus sucks. This match was stupid...ugh...no more brand seperation? I'll take it.

John Cena vs Kane in a lumberjack match with nexus (no contest)

I'm sick of these two. Kane hasn't been relevant to me in a long time. Cena sucks. This match was stupid. It was a slow moving match that looked to be another non-finish. Nexus interfered and Cena ran away.

The lights went out and guess what? Undertaker was there and he beat up Kane...ugh...I'm so sick of this lame feud. The show ended with the two brothers staring each other down...ugh...what a terrible smackdown show. Worst SMACKDOWN EVER! EVER! SO TIRED OF THIS BS!

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/3/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/3/10 Results

Christian defeated Drew McIntyre
Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly
Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Masters
Cody Rhodes defeated Fat Ass Matt Hardy
THe Big Show defeated Luke Gallows & CM PUnk

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 9/3/10 Review

I can't believe another week of smackdown has come and gone...it's definitely C level if not D level at this point.

The show started with Alberto Del Rio and a party of sorts.

Christian came out and called Del Rio JBL. Apparently Christian is going to start a feud with him? I guess so.

Alberto Del Rio didn't beat up Christian until Drew McIntyre showed up and did the dirty work. Del Rio is a great heel so far.

Christian defeated Drew McIntyre

Despite getting an upper hand before the match, Drew fell to Christian! That's right, Christian finally wins a match, and while the match wasn't exactly a 4 star classic, it managed to be good enough for me. Christian wins, making him stronger going into a feud with Alberto Del Rio.

Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly

Not much of a match here. Kind of boring. Michelle wins...I don't care, you don't either.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Masters

Chris masters loses this piece of crap match. Ziggler wins with relative ease, even though Masters did put on a few good counters, and moves. It didn't matter. Ziggler wins, you don't care I don't care.

THe Big Show defeated Luke Gallows & CM PUnk

The big show wins another squash kind of match. Sure, Show took some offense, but no one cared, and this was just stupid. Big Show wins again.

The MVP Lounge was hosted by Jack Swagger...and it was dumb. Jack Swagger's guest was his dad...in a wheel chair. Wow...what a terrible feud.

Cody Rhodes defeated Fat Ass Matt Hardy

This match was short and stupid. Matt Hardy sucks, he's fat and shouldn't ever be allowed on tv.

The Show ended with kane and undertaker doing something stupid...I was bored.....and this was stupid. WORST FEUD EVER!

This was quite possibly the worst smackdown episode ever!!!!!!!

WWE NXT 8/24/10 Results and Review

WWE NXT 8/24/10 Results

Cody Rhodes defeated MVP

WWE NXT 8/24/10 Review

NXT really was terrible.

The show started with the rookies talking and random crap...I was tired.

The show then progressed into a TRIVIA contest...I kid you not.

Cody Rhodes defeated MVP

This match was longer than average matches on NXT and was the ONLY match on NXT. Cody put on a good overall match up and actually had MVP's number on this one. MVP was able to hit some good overall moments, but Cody managed to win this one with CrossRhodes. I liked this match enough, and it's a shame that more wrestling doesn't occur on NXT.

What a waist of time.
